Episode #12108 ~ Jack and Phyllis make a pact. Sharon makes a decision about her marriage. Kyle's world is turned upside down.

Victor: I'll have that removed.

Adam: [ Sighs ] Dad. I wasn't expecting you.

Victor: Mm. You know I'm not the most patient man.

Adam: Mm. Don't worry about anything. I'll take care of this.

Victor: The most important thing is that you're back home where you belong. And now you can start another very critical phase of your life.

Adam: Well, I'm more than ready for that.

Victor: But before we embark upon this business venture of ours, I need you to promise me something in regard to the two women in your life -- chelsea and sharon.

[ Door opens ]

Sharon: Yay! Faith is finally coming home! I'm just going to, uh, grab some clothes for her and take them to the hospital. Could you get a bag, and we can just throw everything in it?

Mariah: Okay, mom, stop. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster right now. Adam is on the run and then he -- he saves faith after her accident and then he flees to kansas and then he's back donating a kidney and saving her life again and I --

Sharon: Hey, listen. It's a beautiful day. Let's not debate about adam.

Mariah: What he did for faith was amazing, yes, but is he going to use that to his advantage now? Well, I --

Sharon: No. Nope, nope, nope. I'm not going there. It's too great a day, and thanks to adam's bravery, faith has a new lease on life. She's not gonna need dialysis. She can just start her life over again. So, if you want to stay under those dark clouds, you go ahead. I'm sticking with the silver lining.

Nick: Rey. Just the man I'm looking for.

Rey: Hey, nick. I was just, uh, on my way out.

Nick: Well, glad I ran into you. You got a minute?

Rey: Yeah, sure, but, uh, could we talk someplace else?

Nick: Why? Trying to avoid sharon?

Rey: Look, I know I don't have to tell you how tense things already are.

Nick: No, you don't, but maybe it's time to make things less tense by letting go of some of that anger towards adam and trying to work things out with your wife.

Jack: Thank you for the call, vivian. I will get back to you with those contracts.

Phyllis: Ready?

Jack: You didn't have to pick me up.

Phyllis: I wanted to. We could go there together. We could discuss some last-minute plans before we talk to abby.

Jack: Gee, you sound really excited about this party.

Phyllis: I am! I'm actually excited. It's not every day your kids get engaged -- or, in our case, with our kids, every year.

[ Both laugh ]

Jack: Yeah, well, I think they deserve something special. After everything they've gone through, the highs and lows, the on-again, off-again weddings, I think it's really gonna stick this time. Those two are so committed to each other.

Phyllis: Well, things are looking up for them -- and for faith. She's going to be released from the hospital, so now summer can just put all her attention on her future with kyle.

Jack: I agree.

Phyllis: Mm-hmm.

Jack: So, I have a few ideas about tonight. I'm eager to hear yours.

Phyllis: Oh, great! I'll tell you mine. Um, we're gonna use mine. You can tell me your ideas. We won't use them, but you can tell me.

Jack: My motto -- always listen to phyllis. She's a good-idea machine. After you.

Phyllis: Ah, I am.

Jack: [ Chuckles ]

Kyle: Wow. I'm impressed. I haven't been by the site of our future home in a couple weeks. They've really made progress.

Summer: I know. I know. I was surprised, too, but wilson said that things will start to slow down when they start the carpentry and the crown molding. I guess this stuff just takes some time.

Kyle: As long as it's finished by the time we're married. I want to carry my beautiful bride over the threshold of our brand-new home. What's wrong?

Summer: Oh, nothing's wrong. I just -- I love hearing you say the word "married." It just feels so real.

Kyle: Yeah. And this time it's for keeps.

Summer: Oh, I can't help but worry what's gonna get in our way next.

Kyle: Hey, listen to me.

Summer: Huh?

Kyle: We've been through a lifetime of roadblocks, setbacks, and challenges, and we've survived every one of them. What could possibly be left except the wedding of our dreams?

Summer: Oh, I just want to get married now. How am I supposed to wait until the fall?

Kyle: I think I have the perfect plan to pass the time.

Summer: Yeah? What's that?

Rey: So, when did you take up marriage counseling?

Nick: Look, I'm not gonna apologize for trying to give you some advice here 'cause I feel like if I don't, then everything's just gonna get worse.

Rey: You know, maybe I could use someone who understands all the players from all the sides. So, alright, go ahead.

Nick: I'm sure chelsea's accusations about adam and sharon have really thrown you, you know? But it doesn't really justify what chelsea has done, unless she was really hurt or monumentally betrayed. But adam and sharon swear there's no affair. So that'd leave a gaping hole that doesn't really explain her behavior.

Rey: So you still think she's lying?

Nick: That's the thing. I don'T. The only way this thing makes any sense is if chelsea actually convinced herself that this was happening, you know, like the stroke damaged her psyche.

Rey: Well, couldn't both be true?

Nick: I'm not saying that adam and sharon don't have a connection because they obviously do. But, rey, I don't think sharon would cheat on you. She loves you a lot. I don't care what chelsea said. And I think deep down you think that, too. That's why you're struggling with this.

Rey: Is that all you tracked me down to say?

Nick: No. I also want to say that sharon's gone through an extremely difficult time. And every time it looks like she's about to come out of it, something else knocks her out. And if the final blow is gonna be her losing you, man, I think it's gonna put her in a very vulnerable place.

Rey: I don't want that. I don't want any of this.

Nick: Then do something about it, before it's too late.

Mariah: I'm not trying to be negative. I mean, we've gotten a lot of great news lately. Faith is recovering. Kyle and summer are celebrating their engagement tonight. Things are looking up at jabot. I mean, crisis averted on all fronts.

Sharon: That's what I'm talking about.

Mariah: I want you to have it all and be happy again by reconciling with rey.

Sharon: I can tell there's a "but" in there.

Mariah: Yes, and you know what it is. Adam has saved faith's life twice now, and he's back. He's here to stay. And he's not just a hero. He's an innocent one because he was as much of a victim of chelsea's crazy plot to poison rey as rey was himself. So, that's that. He's gonna try to win you back now that he's a free man.

Sharon: That's not gonna happen. Adam and I -- we made peace with everything the morning after the surgery. He's not a threat to rey or to our marriage. All I have to do is convince rey of that.

Sharon: There's no way I'm gonna accept that my marriage is over, but I'm not blind to how difficult it's going to be to save it.

Mariah: I have an idea. Why don't you lure rey away on an isolated romantic getaway and convince him that he can't not be with you? I'll stay with faith.

Sharon: You know what? That might be an option. And I love you for inspiring me to fight for the man I love. But right now I need to go and get faith.

Lola: Hey!

Rey: Hey!

Lola: I'm so glad that you're still here. I have some great news.

Rey: Well, me too.

Lola: Okay, you first.

Rey: Well, I wanted to give you an update on faith. She's been released from the hospital, and her prognosis looks very, very good.

Lola: Rey, that is such great news. You know, I knew that she was gonna pull through this. But I also know how worried you and sharon were.

Rey: Yeah. Our prayers have been answered.

Lola: Well, that means that the two of you can spend some more time working out your problems?

Rey: Well, faith still has a ways to go to get back on her feet, so I think sharon will have her hands full for a little while.

Lola: No, but the worst is behind you, and the two of you can --

Rey: You know, um...

Lola: Hmm?

Rey: Nick just gave me a pep talk about my marriage, so maybe we could talk about something else, like your good news.

Lola: Oh, right. My good news --

Rey: Yes?

Lola: Well, rey, I was asked to be a guest chef at the biggest restaurant conglomerate in florida. They're asking me to create menus for their five-star restaurants all over the state.

Rey: Um, florida's awfully far away.

Lola: Yes. I know. But I would be based in miami, and I would be very close to mom. You know, this is a really big deal for me, and besides, it'll only be just a little while. And, you know, I'll be bringing back the celebrity chef status. I mean, wouldn't that be, like, really cool?

Rey: [ Chuckles ] You really want this, don't you?

Lola: Yeah, I do. But you have to know that i won't go anywhere without knowing that you're okay.

Abby: I am just so thrilled for summer and kyle. I mean, they deserve the best party ever, and I am counting on chance being back in time so we can attend the wedding together.

Jack: Wow, that would be perfect timing.

Phyllis: Um, yeah. It would. They're thinking of the fall. Um...y-you're expecting around that time, right? How's mariah doing?

Abby: She's doing great. I mean, there's a little morning sickness, but that's to be expected. So, so far, chance and I -- we are on track to be the happiest parents ever.

Jack: I have no doubt this baby is gonna be the most cherished little boy or girl ever.

Abby: No doubt.

Phyllis: Great. I hope that, uh, chance shows up sooner than later.

Abby: You know what? Um, I'm -- I'm gonna go check on the hors d'oeuvres. I'll be right back.

Jack: Thanks, abby.

Phyllis: Thanks, abby. Thank you. Um, so, this is gonna be a great party. I'm really excited. Yeah. I'm sorry you're flying solo. I feel responsible, and I regret that.

Jack: No, you don'T. You loved every minute of it. You made it crystal clear what you think of sally.

Phyllis: Listen, my opinion doesn't matter. It's your opinion that matters. What's your opinion about her?

Jack: I walked in on sally lecturing tara locke about what a great guy I was, defending jabot and me to the hilt. She's really pulling out all the stops to win me back.

Phyllis: And did she?

Jack: No, too much has happened. Thanks in part to you, I know the truth. My eyes have been opened. I've seen the mean-spirited side of sally, and I don't have any place for that in my life.

Phyllis: Interesting she just happened to be talking about you when you walked in.

Jack: You think sally set that up?

Phyllis: It's something she would do.

Jack: Maybe, maybe n-- I -- you know what? It doesn't matter. I've definitely moved on.

Phyllis: Hmm. Well, I want you to know that i am waiting patiently for your grand gesture of gratitude.

Jack: When have you waited patiently for anything?

Phyllis: I like sports cars in red, particularly ruby red.

Jack: I'm still not sure why you went to all that trouble on my behalf.

Phyllis: I feel like I need to protect you. We've gone through so much. You've protected me for so many years...from myself.

Sally: You should have seen phyllis, walking out of the jabot boardroom laughing with jack.

[ Sighs ]

Shirley: I'm guessing that you haven't gotten jack to give you a second chance?

Sally: No. And I have the lovely phyllis to thank for that. I mean, she just sticks her nose in other people's business and blows up their relationships out of pure spite. What exactly did you do to this woman to make her treat you that way?

Sally: That's the thing. She came at me out of nowhere. I mean, sure, yes, I've had some issues with her daughter, but that's no reason to ruin things for jack and me.

Shirley: You know what, hon? Maybe it's time for you to move on. Forget about jack and phyllis.

Sally: I just wish I knew what they were up to. They -- they sounded like they were making some sort of plans for later on.

Shirley: What does it matter? Let it go.

Sally: Jack and phyllis have a long, complicated history, and I need the details. And I'm gonna get them, just in case.

[ Sighs ] I mean, what could the two of them be up to?

Victor: Let's face it, son. You almost didn't get a second chance, you know. Chelsea's jealousy over you and sharon is what caused this mess.

Adam: Well, I sure wish she never found out about that kiss. I have a feeling that played a big part in her paranoia and delusions.

Victor: But now that this is behind you, you have got to turn the corner with both women. I'm telling you -- running cyaxares is a very difficult job.

Adam: Yeah, look, if you came here expecting me to put up a fight about it, you can forget it because I agree. I mean, obviously I want chelsea to get well. I feel 100% responsible for her breakdown. But I think, after everything that's happened, it's best if we go our separate ways.

Victor: How about sharon?

Adam: I hope she and rey can work things out. But as for me, I'm gonna prioritize the company and rebuild my relationships with my family. What? You want me to say it, don't you? Okay. There is no room for any other involvement in my life right now. And that especially goes for sharon.

Faith: Finally. I can get out of here. What'd you bring me to wear?

Mariah: Hey, hey, take it easy, okay?

Faith: I'm fine. Really. It was just a twinge.

Mariah: What's the matter? Do you think we're gonna call dr. Nate back in here and he's gonna make you stay?

Faith: Very funny, mariah.

Mariah: [ Chuckles ]

Faith: I can't wait to go home.

Sharon: And we can't wait to have you there.

Mariah: Well, apologies, but I have to get to a meeting at jabot, but I'm gonna see you as soon as you get home, okay?

[ Door opens ]

[ Door closes ]

Sharon: Are you sure you're okay? You ready to go home?

Faith: I think I've made that quite clear.

Sharon: Well, the nurse out at the front desk is getting your release papers together, so you can say goodbye to this place for a while.

Faith: How about forever?

Sharon: Yeah.

Nick: Hello! Look at my girl, getting better every day.

Faith: Yes. It's still pretty crazy to think that I have someone else's kidney in my body. And guess what. It's working, doing the job it's supposed to do.

Nick: Well, I'm just so proud of you. I mean, you've been so brave through this whole thing. Oh, yeah. Got these cards right here. Did you pick up some new tricks while you've been in here?

Faith: Moses and I have been playing.

Nick: Moses. He's been here a lot lately. Is that something I need to get dad-concerned about?

Sharon: [ Chuckling ] I'm pretty sure you already are and always will be. I think it's great that you two have become friends.

Faith: Me too.

Sharon: He seems like a nice young man.

Nick: Okay. Uh, I see your mom brought you a change of clothes. I'll be out in the waiting room while you get ready.

[ Door opens and closes ] Hey, mom. Thanks for coming. Moses. I understand you've been playing a lot of games with my daughter.

Moses: Yeah, just a few card games, sir. We had fun. And I thought maybe I could come by later and play some more.

Nick: You know what? I think it's gonna be kind of a rough day for her, you know, with her getting out of the hospital and all. She's gonna need some rest.

Moses: Okay. Yeah, sure. Um, maybe in a few days when she's stronger.

Nick: Yeah. We'll see.

Rey: What? Why wouldn't I be okay with you accepting this amazing opportunity?

Lola: Well... because I know how deeply you love, and I also know that it pains you to feel like somebody's betrayed you. You know, you dig in, you lock down, and then you don't let anybody in while you're left alone licking your own wounds.

Rey: No, that's -- that's not me.

Lola: Oh, I'm -- I'm sorry. Who are you speaking to?

Rey: Alright, alright, maybe just a little bit.

Lola: No, no, no. Maybe try "just a lot."

[ Both laugh ] That's why I'm so worried about this whole thing with sharon. I know that you guys really love each other. If you could just open that big heart of yours.

Rey: I'm gonna be fine. But what about you? You can't just leave society, can you?

Lola: Well, I've already spoken to abby, and she's given me her blessing. She just wants me to go be a rock star. And I have left my recipes for my replacement so that they can replicate them. And my customers won't even know that I'm not there.

Rey: This customer definitely will.

Lola: [ Chuckles ]

Rey: I'm gonna miss you.

Lola: Can you promise me something?

Rey: Anything.

Lola: Where sharon is concerned, um, can you just promise me that you will trust, love, and believe in what you're heart is saying, please?

Rey: No promises on the sharon front, but I hear you. And I need you to do me a favor. Instead of worrying about me, i need you to follow your own heart.

Lola: You know what? I'm always gonna worry about you, okay? And no matter where this leads, I'm always gonna come back.

Rey: You better. Or I'm gonna come after you.

Lola: Ooh, big detective. What, you gonna extradite me to genoa city?

Rey: Try me.

[ Both laugh ]

Summer: No!

Kyle: Stop, or I'll never make my meeting!

Summer: I don't want you to leave me yet.

Phyllis: Well, I see the engagement's still on.

Summer: Yes, it is.

Kyle: Hi, phyllis. See you at the party.

Summer: Bye. Hey, oh, actually, I wanted to show you some new pictures of the housE. Construction's really coming along. Uh...okay.

[ Chuckles ] What's wrong?

Phyllis: Seeing you two just now just gave me a nervous feeling in my stomach.

Summer: What on earth about?

Phyllis: I want you to tell me honestly, before we go to this party, before we see the families -- tell me honestly. Is this what you want? To be a thriver

[ Scoffs ] Where is this coming from?

Phyllis: Um, listen, don't misunderstand. I know that you and kyle are in love and you're caught up in the romance, blah, blah, blah. But there's a very large shadow cast over this engagement, just like when you were planning your last wedding to kyle, remember?

Summer: Are you talking about lola? Because this is very different now.

Phyllis: There's another ex casting a shadow.

Summer: Tara locke. Really? Wait, is that what this is all about right now?

Phyllis: Tara locke doesn't have to be an issue if you don't make her one.

Summer: Trust me, mom. I am not jealous at all. I have no insecurities where she is concerned.

Phyllis: Okay. Alright. Sorry. I just wanted to be sure.

Summer: Okay, well, here's what I'm sure of. Kyle and I are destined to be together. We are gonna get married, and we are gonna live a long, happy life, full of love together, okay?

Phyllis: So, I have a little something for you. I wanted to wait until the right moment.

[ Chuckles ] Ahh.

Summer: Mm?

Phyllis: It's an engagement gift, just a little something.

Summer: [ Chuckles ] Oh, my gosh, mom, it's beautiful.

Phyllis: It's an alexandrite. I got it in 2015. It's a little bit of a hand-me-down, but I thought it was special.

Summer: Wait, was this a -- was this a gift from jack?

Phyllis: Yeah. Does it bother you that I didn't give you something from your dad?

Summer: No. Oh, my god. No, not at all. I mean, jack was one of the great loves of your life. He helped deliver me. He's gonna be my father-in-law, you know? He's -- jack is family.

Phyllis: I know he's family. That's what I thought, too.

Summer: Oh, my gosh. Mom, I mean, this -- this is so sweet that you're passing this on to me. Really, it means the world to me. Thank you.

Phyllis: You're welcome.

Kyle: Now, if you don't have anything else, I'd like to switch to another action item, if you have time.

Jack: Oh? Quarterly revenue numbers in?

Kyle: No. It's about my wedding.

Jack: Oh. Do tell.

Kyle: Well, I would like to present to you my choice for the best person I would like to stand by me at the ceremony -- my best friend mariah copeland.

Jack: Wow. I think that is an inspired choice. Congratulations. I couldn't be happier about your decision.

Kyle: But wait. There's more. I need someone to officiate, another best person, and summer and I were hoping you would agree. Would you consider getting ordained so you can marry us?

Jack: An ordained jack abbott.

Kyle: [ Laughs ]

Mariah: [ Laughs ]

Jack: I would be honored. Absolutely. Yes.

Kyle: Great.

Mariah: Oh, I almost forgot about my meeting with the ad agency. I've got to go, but I will see you at the party.

Jack: Thanks, mariah.

Mariah: Thank you.

Jack: Stick around. Ashland and tara coming into town was a nightmare. You handled that like a true abbott.

Kyle: Yeah. Thanks, dad.

Jack: Well, I've been looking for the right time to do this, and maybe this is it.

Kyle: Uh, the right time for what? Is this the watch your father gave you?

Jack: It meant the world to me when he gave it to me. I hope it means as much to you.

Kyle: [ Chuckles ] "I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul."

[ Chuckles ] Thanks, dad. I'm honored to be your son and john abbott's grandson.

Jack: There's a story behind that watch. At the party tonight, I'll tell you and...everyone else.

Sally: Sorry. Am I interrupting? I-I thought I left my report in here earlier. You don't mind if I look around?

Jack: No. That's alright. I was just leaving.

Kyle: See you later, dad.

Sally: So, how are things going?

Kyle: Just fine.

Sally: Sounds like you and jack have something planned for tonight?

Kyle: Okay, if you must know, it's my engagement party.

Sally: Oh! Congratulations.

Kyle: Now, if you meant everything you said about keeping the peace, you'll stay far away from society. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm late for another meeting.

Sally: [ Sighs ]

Sharon: Can I get you another pillow?

Nick: How about another blanket? Are you cold?

Sharon: You want some soup?

Nick: Do you feel like you're being smothered?

Faith: Mom, dad, I'm fine. Really. I'm loving all this attention, so you don't need to worry about that anymore.

Nick: Alright. Well, yeah, I should probably go anyway. I don't want to be late for kyle and summer's engagement party.

Faith: So, have you given kyle your seal of approval yet?

Sharon: Or are you gonna make him sweat right up until his wedding day?

Nick: Just doing my duty, being a good dad.

Faith: You need to give the guy a break.

Nick: I love seeing you laughing and smiling again, even if it's at my expense. Love you.

Sharon: I'm gonna make you that soup.

[ Door closes ]

[ Knock on door ]

Faith: Come in! It's open!

[ Door opens ]

Nikki: Hi. So, what did I miss?

Faith: Mom and dad are pampering me like crazy. It's so good to be home. I'll never take it for granted again.

Nikki: Are you feeling okay?

Faith: Everyone keeps asking me that. I'm fine. But now that I'm home and rey's not here, it makes me worried about the problems he and my mom are having. They tried to hide them from me at first.

Nikki: Well, honey, they don't want to worry you. You had so much on your mind.

Faith: The hard thing is that adam was the cause of all their arguments. But I wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for him. What am I supposed to think about that, grandma?

Nikki: Yeah. I know exactly how you feel. It can be pretty confusing. For instance, some people might have big issues with your grandfather, but to you he's the most wonderful, caring man in the world, right? Even though he can be a little stern sometimes.

Faith: So, you're saying there's a lot more to adam than most people are willing to admit?

[ Cellphone ringing ]

Sharon: Rey?

Rey: Sharon, um, I know you probably just brought faith home, but do you think you can slip away for a bit so we can talk?

Managing type 2 diabetes?

Sharon: I'm here with nikki and faith right now, so the timing really isn't great.

Faith: Go!

Sharon: You don't understand.

Faith: I heard enough to understand completely. If rey wants to meet, just go. Grandma can stay here with me. Can't you, grandma?

Nikki: Well, yes, of course i can. I'll just meet victor later at kyle and summer's party.

Faith: It's crazy to stay. Just go see what he has to say.

Nikki: We'll be fine. Really. No worries.

Sharon: Okay, I'll meet you. Where?

Rey: At the coffeehouse.

Sharon: I'm on my way.

Phyllis: Um, so, abby, do you want, um, help of some sort?

Jack: I was just gonna say the same thing.

Abby: You know what? Uh, thank you, but everything is under control. Mariah, would you like to join me the kitchen? We can talk all things baby chancellor.

Mariah: Uh, yeah, I could tell you about my swollen ankles.

Abby: Ooh!

Jack: [ Chuckles ] So, look, I, uh, thought you might want to know. I ran into sally when I went to the office. It happened just as I was talking to kyle about tonight.

Phyllis: Oh, no. She knows about the party?

Jack: She didn't hear it --

Phyllis: She's gonna show up?

Jack: She didn't hear from me. Everything's gonna be alright.

Phyllis: Ugh.

Nick: Hey. Where's the happy couple?

[ Lock whirs, disengages ]

Summer: Hey.

Kyle: Ah, I thought I'd find you here.

Summer: Yeah, I'm getting ready, just like you should be doing. It's very bad form to be late to our own engagement party.

Kyle: [ Laughs ] That's a pretty piece.

Summer: Oh!

Kyle: Is it new?

Summer: Yeah. Well, it's new to me. My mom gave it to me as a little good luck engagement present.

Kyle: Oh, that was sweet of her.

Summer: Yeah.

Kyle: Both of our parents were in generous moods today.

Summer: Hmm?

Kyle: My dad gave this to me. His father gave it to him. He also mentioned ashland and tara and gave us props for how well we stood up to that challenge.

Summer: Wow. Is it just me, or are people falling over backwards to show us how much they support us right now? Wow.

Kyle: Yeah, we've got a lot of support. It sort of makes me feel like we must be on the right track.

Summer: "Sort of"? Well, that's a ringing endorsement. You better not be having doubts there.

Kyle: [ Laughs ] Of course not. But you better, uh, you know, kiss me just to make sure.

Summer: Oh, uh-huh. Mm-hmm. Mm?

Kyle: Hmm. I'm still not quite sure. Maybe you should kiss me again?

Summer: Okay, okay.

Kyle: Okay.

Summer: Mmm. We're going to be late.

Kyle: Mmm. I don't care.

Summer: [ Chuckles ] A lot of people think dealing with copd is a walk in the park.

Adam: That's what you wanted to hear, right? That I'm moving on without sharon?

Victor: Uh-huh. Now you have a bright future ahead of you.

Adam: Mm. Well, I have you to thank for that. And I can't tell you how grateful I am that you've stood by me and all the work you did behind the scenes to make today happen.

Victor: You got to give yourself some credit, son. If you hadn't had the guts to come back to town, to sacrifice your own health by giving one of your kidneys to faith to save her life, who knows what would have happened, you know? You know how much faith means to me.

Adam: Well, if I had to give up a kidney, she is the person i would want to have it. Everyone loves her.

Victor: Yeah. Certainly do.

Adam: Well, I'm turning my life around, dad. It's my number-one job now. And I promise you I'm gonna put my body and my soul into this new venture. And I'm gonna make it a huge success.

Victor: I like to hear that.

Adam: But there is one thing that you should know.

Victor: What's that?

Adam: I intend to turn cyaxares into an even bigger powerhouse than it already is. And once that's done, I intend to use it to crush chanccomm and billy abbott into the ground.

Victor: Aha. Well, now, son, that is music to my ears. Cheers.

[ Glasses clink ]

Rey: Hey.

Sharon: Hey.

Rey: Thank you for coming. I know you didn't want to leave faith.

Sharon: Listen, rey, I can't handle dragging this out. I don't mean to be blunt, but why did you want to see me in person?

Rey: There's something important I need to tell you.

Jack: Well, I, for one, am thrilled that our children are getting married, in no small part because I happen to like his in-laws.

Phyllis: Well, we like you, too.

[ Chuckles ] I think it's gonna stick this time, yeah. Oh, here they are. My goodness!

Jack: Well, there they are, at long last. Phyllis was about to send out the national guard.

Summer: [ Chuckling ] Oh.

Kyle: Your daughter takes forever to get ready. I tried to tell her it was bad form to show up late to our own engagement party.

Summer: Um, I'm sorry. That's what I told you.

Nick: Relax. You're not even that late. My mom and dad aren't even here yet.

Jack: Yeah, ashley and traci just called and said they're running a little late, as well, which gives us time for a first toast. What do you say? Everybody, grab a glass.

Phyllis: Sure. This mine?

Summer: Thank you.

Jack: To summer and kyle. May this be the beginning of a marvelous new abbott-newman union.

Summer: Cheers.

Kyle: Cheers.

Summer: [ Chuckles ]
