[ Door opens ][ Footsteps approaching ]
Adam: [ Grunts ] The hell are you doing here?!
Sharon: [ Groaning ]
Faith: Mom?
Sharon: Sweetie, what's wrong? Are you uncomfortable, in any pain?
Faith: It's not about that.
Sharon: The way you're looking at me --
Faith: I could tell you just had a bad dream.
Sharon: What gave you that idea?
Faith: You were making these little noises. Fidgeting in your sleep. And I heard you say "adam."
Jack: Hey, I apologize for postponing this meeting. I had a little fire to put out at jabot that needed my full attention.
Devon: Oh, no, is everything okay?
Jack: Luckily, my son and i averted disaster. Things are falling back into place, I think.
Devon: Good. I know how that goes, so I'm glad everything worked out.
Jack: Oh, thanks. Onward and upward. I assume this meeting is to discuss abbott-winters foundation business?
Devon: Yes, it is, and i think you're gonna be very happy that we're finally meeting 'cause I have some pretty good news for you.
Abby: Mariah, hey, it's me. I know you'll be landing soon, and I assume heading straight to memorial. Here's to hoping you get some good news about faith. And I will see you after. Bye.
Lola: Was that sharon? Has there been any word?
Abby: About faith? Unfortunately, no. I haven't heard anything since yesterday, when I learned that she might need a kidney transplant.
Nick: Sharon pointed me in the right direction.
Adam: How? Okay, I never told her where i was, and even if she figured it out, she would never tell you.
Nick: She would if someone's life was at stake. I need you to come home with me right now.
Adam: Why?
Nick: It's faith. She's in trouble. She's really sick, and you're the only person who can help her.

Sharon: I know you have a lot of questions about how the doctors are going to treat your illness.
Faith: Seriously? I catch you dreaming about adam, and you think you can just change the subject?
Sharon: I'm not. It's all connected. The doctors have been giving you steroids, hoping that will calm your immune system and stop it from attacking your kidneys.
Faith: Is it working?
Sharon: No, not so far. But nobody's giving up. And sometimes it takes a while.
Faith: Is there a plan "b"?
Sharon: Yes. If this treatment doesn't work and your kidneys are not able to function, then you may need to have a transplant.
Faith: Oh, my god. That's major, major surgery.
Sharon: Yes. Yes, it is.
Faith: Is it really that bad?
Sharon: Well, we don't know right now, sweetie. I'm just trying to give you all the possibilities.
Faith: Would someone have to die to give me their kidney?
Sharon: No, people are born with two kidneys, and they only need one, so someone could donate one of theirs to you, and go on living their normal life.
Faith: Like summer giving lola a part of her liver?
Sharon: The best chance for success is for someone in the family to be your donor. So while you were resting, we were checking around to see who had your matching blood type, and that's when things got a little tricky. It turns out that your blood type is pretty rare.
Faith: No one else in the family has it?
Sharon: One person does.
Faith: I bet it's noah, who's in europe. Is that what you mean by "tricky"? Wait, your dream was about adam. No, no. Don't tell me he's the only match.
Adam: Last thing I knew, faith was on her way to making a full recovery. Now you're telling me that her kidneys are failing and she needs a transplant?
Nick: And you are the only person in the family whose blood type matches hers.
Adam: Come on, you expect me to believe this, nick? How do I know this isn't a setup?
Nick: You don't believe me, I'll call sharon.
Adam: Nick, we're in a storm cellar. Underground. With no internet. Cellphones don't work here.
Nick: Fine, you come upstairs and call her yourself.
Adam: I'm not going anywhere with you.
Nick: Damn it, adam, I don't have time for this!
Adam: Hey, if any of this were true, sharon would've come in person, so you can go to hell.
Abby: Sharon called all of faith's relatives to see if they might be a match. I'm not the right blood type, but I wish I were.
Lola: You'd be willing to donate a kidney to faith?
Abby: Absolutely. I mean, I can't imagine what sharon and nick are going through. They just got faith home from the hospital after her accident, and now this.
Lola: Yeah, rey has been feeling pretty helpless. I can't imagine how they must feel.
Abby: No doubt.
Lola: You know, I remember when I was in the hospital and my brothers were trying to find me a donor, they didn't even tell my mom, and when she found, I mean, she went ballistic. They were just afraid that she wasn't gonna handle it well, and I don't think that they were wrong.
Abby: When I think about raising my child, I think about all the sweet, happy moments. But I know I'm also signing up for all of the -- the worry and unexpected crises, too.
Lola: Yeah. I mean, that is how it works.
Abby: I just know that chance is gonna be a rock. That's just who he is. And, well, I hope that I am strong enough to be calm when that's what my child needs -- even if I'm freaking out on the inside.
Lola: Well, I am sure that you will. Plus, look at the supportive family this kid is gonna have -- parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, devon and mariah. How cool is it to grow up with so much love.
Abby: [ Chuckles ] Oh, right on cue.
Nina: Oh, yeah, what did i miss?
Lola: Oh, we were just talking about how the baby's gonna have a very supportive and wonderful family, and, well, here you are.
Nina: [ Chuckles ]
Abby: Can I get you anything? Coffee?
Nina: Yeah, in a bit. I just dropped by to give you this package that was delivered to the house.
Abby: Really? Well, I wasn't expecting anything.
Nina: It's from chance.
Abby: [ Laughs ] When I get a migraine, I go to the darkest place I can find.
Jack: Tell me your good news, I could use some.
Devon: Well, I just got the results of the formal assessment of the drug and alcohol rehab program that we developed in honor of neil, and the researchers have confirmed what the clients have been telling us -- we are a huge success.
Jack: Fantastic. Can you shoot me that report?
Devon: I've already sent it to you, actually, but I will read to you some of the highlights. It says here that people in the music industry appreciate that the program was designed to address their specific concerns, like travel, peer pressure, late nights, and the overall difficulty of maintaining a healthy lifestyle on the road. So not only has our foundation's program helped reclaim these people's lives and careers, but we're doing it with below-average relapse rates.
Jack: Wow.
Jack: This is so rewarding. And we can move forward with our plans to expand.
Devon: Yes, yes, I'm glad that you said that because i already have training is underway in la, austin, vegas, and new orleans.
Jack: Two years since we lost your dad. Look at what we've accomplished in his name. Man, feels like we're really making progress.
Devon: We really are, and i think that he would be pleased.
Jack: Oh, I know he would be. Congratulations on a job well done.
Devon: Oh, thank you. But that was only my first bit of news.
Jack: Ooh, there's more?
Devon: There is more, there is more. I am planning on starting a jazz label, and I'm gonna call it "winter's mood," for neil. And what I'm gonna do is set aside some of the profits to help fund our expanded rehab program.
Jack: I cannot think of a more fitting way to honor your father.
Devon: Oh, well, thank you, jack. You were one of my dad's closest friends, so it really does mean a lot for you to say that. And I hope that you can make the special event that lily and i are putting on to help celebrate neil in a few weeks.
Jack: I wouldn't miss it. I would be honored.
Abby: "I miss you like crazy. When I'm feeling extra lonely, i think back to our honeymoon. I hope these little reminders will tickle all five of your senses. Thinking of you every minute. Love always, chance." Mm, I miss you, too, baby, like crazy.
Nina: Okay, let's see what he got you.
Lola: Yeah, let's get to the gifts!
Abby: Alright, let's see.
[ Gasps ] It's like a little, mini honeymoon care package. Aww. We woke up every morning to the sound of waves crashing against the beach.
Lola: And now he brought the sound of the ocean to you.
Nina: Okay, so that's sound.
Abby: Okay.
[ Gasps ] Piņa colada candy.
Nina: Uh-huh, taste.
Lola: Was that your favorite drink while you were there?
Abby: One of them.
Lola: Well, I'll have to remember that, then.
Abby: Let's see -- oh. Ohh. Mm. This was the stretch of beach right outside of our room.
Nina: [ Gasps ] Oh, it's lovely.
Abby: Yeah. Chance took this picture -- just the moon and the milky way. Gosh, you couldn't believe all of the stars. Took our breath away.
Lola: Okay, well, now you're making me miss the tropics.
[ Laughter ]
Nina: Okay, so that's sight.
Abby: Okay.
Lola: We're missing smell and touch.
Abby: Let's see. Mango body cream, so touch. Ooh.
Nina: Ooh, luscious.
[ Laughter ]
Abby: And... [ Gasps ] "Tropical paradise" -- a scented candle.
Lola: Wow, chance really put a lot of thought into this.
Abby: Yeah, he really did.
Faith: Adam. Of course! Everything else is going wrong, so naturally, he's the only one who can save me.
Sharon: I understand why you would feel that way.
Faith: Oh, my god. I yelled at him at the coffee house, with all these people watching. I said how disgusting he was. He must hate me. He'll never want to help me.
Sharon: Adam has already helped you. He brought you to the hospital after your accident. But you know what? We don't have to talk about that right now.
Faith: But you said --
Sharon: No, we don't even know for sure that you will need a transplant.
Faith: You're scared. I could hear it in your voice when you called out to adam. What was happening in the dream? Was he refusing to help?
Sharon: I never saw him. I was just...searching.
Faith: And you were worried we'd never find him.
Sharon: You know, we've talked enough about adam. You're the person I care about. Were you able to get a good night's sleep?
Faith: Not really. I had a bad dream, too.
Sharon: Oh, I'm sorry. Do you remember what it was about?
Faith: There was this big, dark shadow that was chasing me. And I fell down this cliff. And I just kept falling and falling.
Sharon: You know what? I had dreams like that when i was having chemo, and it turned out to be nothing. I mean, it wasn't a bad omen. See, I'm fine. And you're going to get better, too, okay?
Nick: I would never lie about my child's health to manipulate you. This is a life-and-death situation.
Adam: You lied about victor's health to manipulate me -- do you remember that? You let me think our father was dead, hoping I would incriminate myself.
Nick: Okay. What's the plan, then? You think I have an ambush waiting for you back in genoa city? Adam, if I wanted the cops to get you, I would have brought them down here myself. That is not what is happening here.
Adam: For all I know, they're upstairs right now. They're waiting upstairs, the house is surrounded.
Nick: Did sharon ever once tell you how grateful I was to you for saving faith's life after the car crash? You didn't have to do that. You risked getting caught and arrested. But you saw faith needed help, so you did that. You put everything on the line to save her.
Adam: Well, I didn't do it for you.
Nick: It doesn't matter why you did it. I will be forever indebted to you for that one decision. Unless you make a different decision right now, one that jeopardizes my daughter's whole future for some selfish reasons, and then all the goodwill that you have earned with me and our family and sharon, it goes up in smoke. Sharon is counting on you, adam.
Adam: Since when did you give a damn about what sharon thinks about me? You would love it if she told me to go straight to hell.
Nick: Forget about me. You focus on sharon, who, right now, is sitting at faith's bedside. She is terrified that her little girl is facing hours of dialysis every other day, for god knows how long. When you can save her, you can save sharon's daughter's life right now. And after everything you have put them through, don't you think they deserve that? Trusted by pet owners for over 20 years
Elena: Hey. I just checked on faith.
Sharon: Great. She seems, you know, a little less tired to me today. A little more with-it, you know? I'm hoping it means the treatment's working.
Elena: Sharon, I don't have good news. The renal biopsy results came back and they confirmed our diagnosis. Unfortunately, the specialist isn't optimistic that she will recover.
Sharon: Uh...what does that mean, exactly? I mean, can you give me A... a timeline for when you'll know for sure that the steroids didn't work?
Elena: I can tell you that if we don't start to see improvement and if we're not able to identify a living donor, then dialysis is a real possibility.
Sharon: Oh, god.
Elena: I know it's not ideal to spend so much time hooked up to a machine, but that would keep her alive until we're able to find a donor. And considering her blood type, it could take years. I wish I had better news.
Sharon: Thank you -- thank you for checking on her.
Elena: Of course. Excuse me.
Mariah: Mom?
Sharon: Sweetie, hey. Did you just get in?
Mariah: Yeah, I came right from the airport, so... talk to me. What's -- what's going on with faith? When you texted me, you said something about, uh, my blood type and a transplant.
Sharon: Yeah. Your sister has had an infection, and for some reason, her immune system went haywire. And now her kidneys are shutting down.
Mariah: Oh, my god.
Sharon: The doctors are doing everything for her, so far, nothing is working. And as it turns out, faith has a very rare blood type, so it's going to be hard to find a donor.
Mariah: Am I a match?
Sharon: No, which is just as well, because you're expecting a baby.
Mariah: Is anybody else in the family?
Sharon: Yes, one person is.
Mariah: Who?
Sharon: Adam. And we think we know where he is, and nick has gone to find him.
Mariah: Well, did he? Is he willing to be a donor?
Sharon: I don't know. Every time I call nick, it goes straight to voicemail.
Mariah: Of all of the people in this big, extended family to be a donor, it has to be the one person who is unreliable and literally on the run.
Sharon: Mariah, don't, okay? I'm trying to remain positive for faith's sake. She's frightened enough as it is.
Mariah: Does she know?
Sharon: About her condition, yes. I told her everything.
Mariah: So we can't reach nick. Okay, but that doesn't mean that it's bad news. It could be good news. So just hold on to that.
Jack: Haven't had a chance to thank you for all you've done for my niece.
Devon: Oh, hey, so I take it you've heard the news -- mariah's pregnant with abby and chance's child.
Jack: Just amazing. And I couldn't be more thrilled, and abby is over the moon.
Devon: I know she is, and i couldn't be happier for her, really. I wasn't sure how you would feel about it all, just 'cause it's not the most traditional way to have a child.
Jack: All that matters is that abby and her new husband get a little boy or a little girl that they can shower with love, and they are very lucky to have friends who care enough about them to help them realize their dream.
Devon: Think that's an odd thought to know that your dna is gonna be out in the world, and it's not your child. But abby has assured me that she wants me a part of the baby's life. I'm very excited for that. You know, even though I wasn't neil's biological son, i couldn't have asked for a better father in him, and I'm sure that their baby's gonna feel the same way about chance. And I know we don't have to worry about abby being a great mother. She's fantastic.
Jack: You have given those two an amazing gift, and not just them -- I mean, the abbotts, the chancellors, the newmans -- we are all so excited to welcome this little one into the world.
Devon: [ Chuckles ]
Nick: Look, you don't have to decide on the surgery now. Just come back with me and then you can hear from sharon herself how dire the situation is. Or you talk to her first, and then come with me. I don't care, but please, can we do this?
[ Clattering, wind howling ] What's that?
Adam: Oh, I guess you haven't been following the local weather. They told everybody to hunker down because a storm is coming in. Supposed to be a big one. That's the whole point of cellars like this, to give people a safe space to ride it out.
Nick: Dad's jet is waiting for us at the airport. If we leave now, we can beat the weather.
Adam: Okay, you're crazy. The sky was starting to look bad an hour ago.
Nick: Exactly, we are wasting time sitting here arguing about it. Please, let's go!
Adam: If you want to chase tornados, be my guest. I'm staying put.
Nick: Alright, fine. But once the storm passes, we go.
Adam: Look, I am sorry that faith is sick and for what you and sharon are going through. As a father, I get it. But I can't take the risk. So find another donor.
Nick: That could take years, if it ever happens. I already told you how rare your blood type is.
Adam: And if it comes to that, and if I clear my name, maybe I will come back to town.
Nick: No. I'm not letting you put faith through that. You are coming home with me, and I will do whatever it takes to make sure that happens.
If your dry eye symptoms
keep coming back,
"The young and the restless"
will continue.
Jack: So how is moses settling in?
Devon: Moses, he is -- he's doing just fine. He's so busy that I rarely get to see him.
Jack: Well, I'm glad you got somebody to keep you company.
Devon: Yeah, yeah. No, it's -- it's been good. You know I'm dating too, though. I'm also seeing amanda, the attorney. I don't know if you know her.
Jack: Sinclair?
Devon: That's right, yeah.
Jack: No, I didn't know that.
Devon: I guess why would you? 'Cause we're pretty new still.
Jack: Well, I don't really know amanda, except that she did a great job representing billy when he was accused of shooting chance.
Devon: Yeah, no, she's a -- she's an amazing attorney.
Jack: To be totally honest, i did talk to amanda myself once alone about hilary, when she first found out they were sisters.
Devon: Yeah, that was a pretty big discovery for both of us. And I -- I can understand how some people would find it odd that I'm involved with my late wife's identical twin. But I really don't even think about it as much as you'd imagine, 'cause they're so different. Their personalities are so opposite from each other that i don't compare them. You know, amanda is very much her own person.
Jack: Well, I don't know how some people feel, but I'll tell you how I feel. If you're happy, I am happy for you, and I'm looking forward to getting to know amanda better.
Devon: Oh, thanks.
[ Door opens ]
Nina: Well, that's the perfect spot for it.
Abby: Mm-hmm.
[ Sighs ]
Nina: You okay?
Abby: [ Chuckles ] You probably think I'm so spoiled.
Nina: No, I don't think you're spoiled. Why would you say that?
Abby: Because I got this beautiful, sweet package from my husband, and here I am, I'm just moping around. What's wrong with me?
Nina: There's nothing wrong with you. Your husband's been gone for weeks. You're practically newlyweds. And you're a little sad about it. I mean, you're human.
Abby: As excited as I was to get the package, it just -- it made me miss him even more. I just wonder how long is this separation gonna last?
Nina: Yeah.
Abby: I mean, every morning, I wake up and I think, "is today the day? Is today the day that chance is gonna surprise me? Is he gonna come home?" I don't know, getting that package just made me realize he wouldn't have gone to all of that trouble to get those gifts if he thought he was gonna come home soon.
Nina: Well, I guess marriage hasn't really turned out the way you pictured it on your wedding day.
Abby: Look, I knew what I was getting myself into when i married an undercover detective. I didn't go into this blind.
Nina: Yeah, but, I mean, if you were a little down, I don't think anyone would blame you.
Abby: You know what? I don't want to sound like I am feeling sorry for myself because I know -- I know how lucky I am. I married the man of my dreams, and we are expecting our first child together, and everyone is healthy, and that is what is important. So, yeah, I know that my little family is gonna come together soon. I just... [ Sighs ] I just -- I need to be patient.
Nina: Well, I commend you because I don't know that i would so mature if I were in your shoes.
Abby: Well, there was a time, trust me.
Nina: Yes, well, we all have time.
[ Both laugh ]
[ Cellphone chimes ] Oh, okay, what'S... oh. Interesting.
Abby: What is it?
Nina: Oh, there's a big action movie in pre-production, it just lost its third leading lady. Ouch. The producers want me to take a look at it, see if I can make the scrip more appealing.
Abby: Wow, I forget what a glamorous life you lead.
Nina: Oh, yes. It's very glamorous and glitzy. I'm red-carpet ready at all times.
Abby: Well, hey, you don't see hollywood calling me up, wanting me to save one of their action scripts.
Nina: Well, they're not actually banging down the door, so... but I do want to call my agent, get some more details, okay?
Abby: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Go ahead.
Nina: Hi, skylar. I'm good, thanks. How are you? Is he in? Okay.
Adam: What are you gonna do, nick? Are you gonna kidnap me? You gonna force me to come home against my will?
Nick: One way or another, you are getting on that plane back to genoa city with me.
Adam: You know, you really should think twice about threatening violence. Something could happen to one of the kidneys you're so desperate to get from me. Kind of would defeat the whole purpose of the trip.
Nick: You know me. You know, there isn't anything i won't do for my kids.
Adam: Yeah, and you should remember who I am and where we're standing. This is the house of aj montalvo, the man that i killed when I was a boy. And if that wasn't enough, years later, I drove his daughter out of her mind. That's the kind of thing that happens when you come up against a monster. I mean, that is the way that you still see me, right, nick? As a monster, irredeemable? In fact, you probably still believe that I poisoned sharon's husband, don't you?
Nick: I didn't come all the way out here to talk about that.
Adam: Okay, that's a yes.
Nick: The only thing that matters to me is saving my daughter's life.
Adam: Come off of it, nick! You want me to come home, you want me to give up my freedom, you want me to give you one of my kidneys, and you can't even be honest with me.
Nick: What I think about you is not important.
Adam: Just stop dodging the question. I can see it in your face. Just admit it.
Nick: Alright, fine. I think you poisoned rey. If you printed out directions to get here today,
Mariah: Hello?
Abby: Hi! I'm so happy you're home. How was your trip?
Mariah: It was productive, but all I can really think about is faith right now, so.
Abby: Of course. Yeah. How is she doing?
Mariah: The things that they are trying are not working, and it seems like she'S... she's not gonna get better without a transplant.
Abby: Poor faith. She must be so scared.
Mariah: Yeah, and her parents, too. You know, sharon'S... it's rough right now.
Abby: How about you? How are you feeling? How's your morning sickness?
Mariah: I seem to be over the worst of it.
[ Sniffs ] What is that smell?
Abby: Oh, my gosh, chance sent me the sweetest package. It had this beautiful candle in it. I just lit it. It's tropical passion -- over there. Then he sent a sound machine, some candy -- you should have some.
Mariah: No, I'm good, thank you. That's really, really nice of you, but...
Abby: Oh, my gosh, I'm so -- I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. You're probably super-sensitive to smell because of the pregnancy. Let me open some windows and air this place out.
Mariah: No, thank you. It's fine. I'm actually gonna -- I'm gonna go shower and change, and then i have to get to work.
Abby: [ Sighs ]
Devon: Hey, elena. Hello. Look like you're a thousand miles away.
Elena: Hey. Sorry, I didn't see you there.
Devon: That's okay. You have a lot on your mind?
Elena: Just work. How about you? How are things?
Devon: Things are great. I have this new project I'm working on that I'm pretty excited about.
Elena: That's great, devon. Good for you.
Devon: Thank you. I'll tell you about it some other time.
Elena: Why not now?
Devon: 'Cause I feel like I'd probably have to repeat myself. It's obvious your mind is still on work, you know?
Elena: I'm sorry.
Devon: Nah, don't be sorry at all. Moses has gotten pretty close to faith newman and told me that she's back in the hospital, so i have a pretty good idea on what you're thinking about.
Elena: Yeah. I just feel like that family's been through so much. Doesn't seem fair.
Devon: I will say prayers for faith and for her parents and for the doctors who are doing their best for her. Especially the ones that put their heart and soul into what they do like you.
Elena: Thank you.
Devon: Yeah. Well, good luck with faith and with everything else.
Adam: Was that so hard?
Nick: Adam, come on, man, please.
Adam: Hey, you're only pointing out the obvious. You're always gonna expect the worst when it comes to me. It's just automatic.
Nick: It shouldn't matter what I think about you. Look, we both know if you do this for faith, you're actually doing it for sharon because i know that you will never turn your back on her when she needs you the most. When her little girl's life is being taken away from her and you are the only person in the world with the power to change that.
Adam: Actually, your opinion does matter. 'Cause if you think I tried to poison sharon's husband, your conscience might compel you to turn me in after the surgery, after you get what you want.
Nick: Alright, listen to me. If you do this, I'll swear to you I will not talk the police. I will keep you hidden. I will help you escape.
Adam: How do I know that i can trust you?
Nick: Because I believe you heard me say that I will do whatever it takes for my kids. Their well-being is the only thing that matters to me. And I know you're the same way. I have seen you with connor. It's the only thing we have in common -- we love being dads.
[ Clattering, slamming ]
Adam: The storm's coming in.
Nick: Adam, we are wasting time -- please. Do we have a deal?
Adam: Alright. Alright, I will come with you. I will get tested to see if i can be faith's donor.
Nick: Thank you. Let's go.
Adam: [ Sighs ]
Nick: What are you doing? Hey, come on, we don't have time for this.
Adam: I'm taking these with me in case the cops figure out that I was here, alright?
Nick: Okay, fine, just hurry!
Adam: Alright!
[ Rattling ] When I get a migraine, I go to the darkest place I can find.
Abby: Feel better?
Mariah: Yes, definitely.
Abby: Well, I packed you a snack for the road -- some ginger tea and saltine crackers.
Mariah: Oh, wow, you really didn't have to do that.
Abby: It's fine. It's no trouble at all. I just -- I want to make sure that you have a settled stomach.
Mariah: Well, my little moment has passed.
Abby: Take it with you, just in case. I would never want you to feel uncomfortable. Chance and I, we are so grateful that you're carrying our baby and we would never want you to regret your decision.
Mariah: Well, I don't -- i don't really think that's going to happen. Yeah, morning sickness is a drag, but it's really nothing compared to what faith is going through, so.
Abby: True.
Mariah: It's good, though, in a way, to have all these predictable, normal symptoms, kind of like a message from the baby saying, "I'm right here, doing my thing."
Nina: Well, keep that good attitude when all the other stuff happens, like heartburn and sleeplessness.
Mariah: Okay, nina, taking it one day at a time here.
Nina: Okay, that's probably a good idea.
Mariah: [ Laughs ] I've got to get to work, but you guys -- you have a good one.
Abby: Ooh, wait, wait, wait. Don't forget your snack! Here you go. Take it.
Mariah: Thank you.
Lola: Oh, hey, roomie.
Elena: Hey, you. You on a break from work?
Lola: I thought I would pay some bills and squeeze in some personal time before the next rush.
Elena: Oh, man, downtime. I remember that.
Lola: [ Chuckles ] Have you checked in on faith today? Oh, boy. Not good news, huh?
Elena: Afraid not.
Lola: Well, I'm really sorry to hear that.
Elena: Yeah, I know you kind of took her under your wing.
Lola: Yeah, I'm the cool aunt. You know, she confides in me.
Elena: You're also an amazing role model. She's lucky to have you.
Lola: Thank you for saying that.
Elena: I mean it.
Lola: I can't help but think back on new year's eve. How beautiful that wedding was, how happy and excited they all were. Sharon had finally gone through and moved past her cancer ordeal. Sharon and rey were so crazy in love. Faith was so excited that they were getting married. This year was supposed to be their reward for getting through last year.
Elena: Well, you know, sharon is doing a great job supporting faith, being strong, keeping things upbeat. Although I know she would trade places with her daughter in a second if she could.
Sharon: Nick, it's me. When you get this message, will you please call me back? I need to know if you've found adam.
[ Clattering ]
Adam: What the hell do you think you're doing?!
Nick: We're leaving! Let's go!
Adam: There's gonna be all kinds of things blowing around in the wind. It's too dangerous.
Nick: This thing won't budge.
Adam: So we're not going anywhere. At least not now.
Nick: That is not an option!
Coming up on "the young and the restless"...
Rey: Sharon, there's something I need to confess.
Victor: Good evening, ladies. That cane is a nice touch.
Adam: It's no use. Who knows if the house is even still standing?
Nick: I'm not quitting. We gotta get on that plane back to genoa city. Faith needs you. Her clock is ticking.
