Episode #12082 ~ Victor retaliates against Billy. Lily gives Victoria a reality check. Sharon covers with Rey.

Provided By Suzanne

Billy: You ever have one of those days where everything just --

Lily: When everything's going wrong and you're trying to stop it from going down the drain? Yeah. I'm having one right now.

Billy: Well, I'm gonna make this short and sweet. I turned down victoria's offer to go after cyaxares --

Lily: Wait. Hold on one sec. Uh, amanda, hi. It's lily. I know that you have a dinner meeting, but can you please give me a call back when you get a chance? Thanks.

[ Phone hangs up ]

Billy: What's going on?

Lily: Poaching.

Billy: What?

Lily: Yep. Our best and brightest employees are jumping ship.

Billy: Where are they going?

Lily: I will give you one guess.

Billy: Victor's behind this.

Lily: Yep.

Rey: Sharon?

Sharon: [ Gasps ] Oh! You scared the life out of me.

Rey: Sorry about that.

Sharon: No, it's okay.

Rey: You sure? You seem kind of keyed up. You want to tell me what's wrong?

Nick: Thanks for coming, mom.

Nikki: Yeah. Of course. You said you wanted to talk about faith. Has her condition changed?

Nick: No. She's fine. We just wanted to keep you in the loop on some of the decisions that sharon and I have made about what happens next.

Nikki: Okay.

Nick: We talked to rey about what's gonna happen legally.

Nikki: What did he say?

Nick: Faith could face some criminal charges -- underage driving without a license, uh, dui.

Nikki: [ Sighs ] I understand consequences are important, but I hope it's not gonna focus on punishing her. It should focus on helping her.

Nick: We just have to wait and see what the courts decide. Now, this isn't the first time faith has turned to alcohol, so the punishment does need to be pretty tough on her.

Nikki: Are you talking about rehab?

Nick: Outpatient program so she can still go to school. She'll also have one-on-one therapy.

Nikki: Have you found a therapist?

Nick: Yeah. Sharon found one that she really likes, someone that specializes in teenagers, and hopefully she can direct us to, you know, some solid outpatient rehab programs.

Nikki: And can work with you and sharon, make sure you have the right tools.

Nick: I know faith is pretty scared and nervous about going to rehab and therapy.

Nikki: Would you and sharon mind if I talk to her about what to expect?

Nick: I was hoping you'd make that offer.

Faith: You again?

Moses: Yeah. I volunteer here now. Someone named lola dropped this off, and it smells amazing.

Faith: Yeah. That's my aunt. She's the chef at society. Best restaurant in town.

Moses: Yeah. So, I know the rules about no balloons and no flowers in the icu, so maybe I should check the regulations about outside food?

Faith: Well, maybe you could wait until I'm finished.

Moses: Whew. But I'd hate to start breaking the rules my first day.

Faith: What if it's only certain types of food? You see, lola only cooks the healthiest, most delicious dishes. And she always makes enough to share.

Moses: Are you trying to bribe me?

Faith: Is it working?

Moses: Yeah, it does smell pretty incredible.

Faith: I know, right?

[ Both laugh ]

Moses: So, I mean, you said you were in an accident. But what happened? What's the #1 retinol brand

Nikki: Darling, you know i would do anything for faith. And if my struggles and experiences can help somebody else, especially my own granddaughter, I'm happy to help.

Nick: You know, we're hoping to get her into the right programs, you know, something that can teach her coping strategies or ways to deal with bullies or peer pressure or, honestly, just a way to avoid getting into situations that might trigger her to turn to alcohol.

Nikki: Yeah. Well, that all sounds great.

Nick: But she's gonna need more than that -- a lot of love, understanding, reassurance that she can still live a happy, normal life. And I can say it until I'm blue in the face, but --

Nikki: It's different hearing it from somebody who's been there.

Nick: I knew you'd get it.

Nikki: [ Sighs ] I just wish I could do more, you know? Go back in time and keep her from grabbing that bottle and getting behind the wheel.

Nick: Mom, this was not your fault.

Nikki: Doesn't make it hurt any less. But I am determined to make her see that she will never truly be alone.

Moses: Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. If you don't want to talk about your accident, it's okay.

Faith: How I got here isn't much of a story. What I want to know is what brought you back to the hospital.

Moses: [ Chuckles ] Well, my cousin nate -- he's mentoring me 'cause I'm interested in becoming a doctor. And he arranged for me to volunteer around here. So I'll be checking things out, learning how everything works.

Faith: So you'll be in genoa city for a while.

Moses: That's the plan.

Faith: Cool.

Moses: Yeah. Exciting. I mean, way more exciting than whatever landed you in the icu, I bet, but feel free to prove me wrong.

Faith: [ Sighs ] It was kind of a mash-up of a series of pretty crappy days. I was getting bullied at school. And it was getting to be a lot, um, so I made some dumb decisions, including getting behind the wheel of a pick-up truck, even though I didn't have my driver's license.

Moses: I'm sorry. You know, getting bullied can change you a little bit.

Faith: Has it happened to you?

Moses: Yeah, a couple times, when I was younger. The details don't really matter, but what's important is the lesson.

Faith: What did you learn?

Moses: Kids can go a couple different ways. I mean, they can either become the bully themselves because they want to feel more powerful, or they can choose to become protectors, fixers, equalizers. And the question is -- what will you become?

Faith: I don't know. Stronger, hopefully.

Moses: Most definitely. You know, I hope I never meet the kids who bullied you. Actually, you know what? I hope they never meet me.

Faith: [ Chuckles ]

[ Cellphone pings ] Emergency?

Moses: Yeah. Yeah. It's nate. I got to go. But, um, I'll see you around.

Faith: Yeah. I hope so.

[ Chuckles ]

Sharon: Nothing's wrong.

Rey: The way you jumped when I came in?

Sharon: I didn't realize you were home. I was just taking a moment to myself.

Rey: Yeah, but that's not all that is, is it? Look, I know things got pretty heated before when we were talking about adam. But if something's bothering you, I still want to be the one that you open up to, sharon.

Sharon: It's nothing specific. I just have a lot to think about. You know, there's been a lot going on.

Rey: You know, big problems can seem even bigger when you got smaller ones competing for your attention. I know -- I know that we have major issues that we need to resolve.

Sharon: Well, I told you we'd get back into counseling, as soon as we make sure everything's okay with faith.

Rey: Well, thank you, but maybe it would also help if you gave yourself a step back from smaller issues and gave yourself some space, like the coffeehouse? You could let your assistant manager handle it for the next couple weeks?

Sharon: Look, I-I know you're only trying to help, but I'm fine.

Rey: Or you could shut it down for a few days.

Sharon: Shut down crimson lights?

Rey: Yeah, just until our lives settle down.

Sharon: No.

Rey: It's just an idea. It doesn't have to be that. I'm only suggesting that you take a step back from all these obligations and let somebody else take care for a change.

Sharon: It's just not practical.

Rey: You know, there's this guy down at the station, told me to start meditating, told me it helped him give him perspective. And there's another detective who started running. There are so many ways to reduce stress.

Sharon: I'm fine! Okay? Enough with the helpful hints and suggestions. It's very common to have

Nick: Sharon is gonna be as grateful as I am that you're willing to help faith.

Nikki: How is she holding up?

Nick: Considering the circumstances, the best she can. With faith and rey, everybody's dealing with a lot, but with sharon, she's got a little something extra there, you know, with adam.

Nikki: I think we're all wondering how adam could poison rey one day and then save faith's life the next.

Nick: He has been causing problems for sharon and rey for so long, and this was before he tried to poison rey. And now she has to balance that with the fact that adam saved faith's life? I mean, it's very complicated.

Nikki: And calculating. What adam did to rey was pure evil. And now because of him, faith is gonna be okay.

Nick: And as for sharon and that hold that adam seems to have over her, I don't even think sharon knows how deep that goes.

Sharon: Rey, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that.

Rey: I'm just trying to help.

Sharon: And I realize that. It's just -- it's too much. It's making me feel kind of guilty.

Rey: About what?

Sharon: Well, you've just been so wonderful lately. And the last time we talked, we were fighting like cats and dogs, and now you're being so kind and considerate. So I guess I just don't feel very deserving.

Rey: Are you sure that's all there is? You know there's nothing you can't tell me.

Sharon: There's nothing more.

Rey: Okay. Maybe you just need a good night's sleep.

Sharon: You know, I have one errand to run, and I would like to stop by the hospital to check on faith one last time tonight.

Rey: You want some company?

Sharon: No, that's alright. Um, well, you have to work in the morning, and I might just end up staying the night there. In case she needs anything, i want to be there.

Rey: Ah. Well, what if I kept you here for an hour and we dug into some ice cream, hmm? Spend some quality time together?

Sharon: That sounds so nice.

Rey: I would hate for you to leave here feeling like you left things unsaid. Maybe you need a reminder that we're in this together. We always work best when we work together.

Sharon: I would love that.

Rey: Good.

Sharon: But I can't, not tonight. Um, I promised faith I would pick up a few things and the stores are almost closed and i just really need to get this done. But I'll call you later. Love you.

[ Door closes ]

Billy: You're telling me all these writers, all these media personalities reported that they've been contacted by victor's team?

Lily: Yes, and these are the ones that we know about, the ones who are asking to be released from their contract.

Billy: We pay above market value. Why would they leave us?

Lily: I just want to talk to amanda and see if we have any sort of recourse. I mean, there has to be some sort of non-compete clause in their contract, some way to minimize the damage.

Billy: You know what? This is exactly why victor wanted to go after cyaxares -- was to come after me for that exposé on adam. And the only way that we could protect chanccomm was to get locke's media company before victor got his hands on it.

Lily: So, what are you saying? That you wish you hadn't turned down victoria's offer to partner?

Billy: Lily, he's coming after us, guns a-blazing. So, what, you don't want to do anything about that?

Lily: I know what you want me to say, but, I'm sorry, I can'T. I don't think it's a good idea to partner with victoria, even if you do like the idea of using her to go after victor. I do not want to be in the middle of a newman family war.

Billy: That's not what was on my agenda.

Lily: Really? There's not some part of you that wants to be involved in the pandemonium?

Billy: No. I want victor's paws off of what is mine.

Lily: Billy, please. I know, you, okay? You love being in a feud with victor and adam. But you have to let it go for our sake.

Billy: Personally or professionally?

Lily: Both.

Billy: So, you want to just sit here and watch everything we worked for get eviscerated?

Lily: If that's what you think I'm gonna do, then you have no idea what I'm capable of.

Billy: Where are you going? Lily?

Lily: I can't get a hold of amanda, so I'm gonna go talk to our legal team, and I will handle this myself.

Billy: [ Sighs ] Rinsing the dishes before they go in the dishwasher?

Nikki: Well, looks like you've been busy. The question is -- are you practicing for the wnba or to be the next emily dickinson?

Faith: Hi, grandma. It's nothing.

Nikki: Looks like a whole lot of nothing.

Faith: I'm trying to write a letter.

Nikki: Oh, yeah? To whom?

Faith: My parents. It's not like I haven't said I'm sorry before, but nothing came out the way I wanted it to. So I thought if I took some time to really think about how I'm feeling and what I wanted them to know, it would be easier, but turns out it's way hardeR. Everything I've written is totally lame.

Nikki: Well, it's probably hard seeing your words staring back at you. But that's good. It forces you to confront your actions and what they did to you and to your family.

Faith: That's kind of what going to rehab is like, right?

Nikki: Yeah. Are you nervous about going?

Faith: Yeah. As weird as it sounds, it seems scarier than being in the hospital.

Nikki: That's because it takes a lot of courage and honesty to face up to the damage you've caused.

Faith: Under a microscope with no escape.

Nikki: You're gonna have to be very brave, braver than you think you are. Lies are easy, especially the ones we tell ourselves. The truth is much harder. But that's why I know you're going to have a very successful experience there.

Faith: Why?

Nikki: Because you're already so strong. You're a fighter. And this time you'll be fighting for yourself.

Faith: I can ask you anything, right?

Nikki: Of course. I want to answer any questions you have about this.

Faith: What if I feel like i can't do it?

Nikki: Oh, my darling. Remember what I just said about the lies we tell ourselves? You've got this.

[ Door closes ]

Rey: What's up?

Nick: Sharon around? I've left her a few messages. I haven't heard back from her.

Rey: She left a little while ago to go see faith.

Nick: [ Sighs ] Yeah, that makes sense. She's probably already there. What's going on with you? You holding it down?

Rey: Trying.

Nick: Uh-oh. What's up?

Rey: No, it's -- it's -- it's nothing. Um, when's the last time you saw sharon?

Nick: Few hours ago.

Rey: And how'd she seem like to you?

Nick: I don't know. Why you asking?

Rey: Well, I was with her just before she left, and she seemed...on guard, defensive.

Nick: Yeah, I was talking about that with my mom. There's a lot going on right now for everyone, you know, from faith's accident to you being poisoned to adam evading arrest but stopping to save faith's life, which I'm still struggling with.

Rey: Yeah, which must be worse for her. I wish there was something i could do about adam. I mean legally. Part of me wants to shake his hand -- you know, after he's in handcuffs -- but thank him for getting faith to the hospital. The other part --

Rey: You know, I don't know if you're ever gonna get that chance. A guy like adam knows how to disappear in a hurry.

Nick: You think he left the country? I mean, you really believe that? Or you just want to believe it?

Rey: What I want is adam in a prison cell, period. But the part of me that isn't a cop wished that I lived in a world where adam never existed.

Billy: Well, well. If it isn't the new owner of cyaxares media. You know what this occasion calls for?

Victor: What's that?

Billy: Champagne. We should celebrate.

Victor: What are you looking for?

Billy: I would love to toast you and your partner. Where is your son, by the way? That's right. He's evading authorities once again. Does he have a burner phone to call into staff meetings while he's out on the lam?

Victor: You lost, billy boy. Accept it.

Billy: Right. That company's in much better hands with a felon running it.

Victor: For your information, my son is innocent.

Billy: [ Chuckles ]

Victor: The allegations against him are baseless.

Billy: God, that's got to get exhausting, no? Coming up with the same old excuse every time? "Adam didn't do it." "Somebody else did."

Victor: Adam will be vindicated, and then he will assume his rightful position as ceo. And then he'll do great things with cyaxares.

Billy: Thanks to the writers you're hijacking from chanccomm.

Victor: They're coming to me by choice, old boy.

Billy: Well, you can buy talent, but you can't buy loyalty, can you?

Victor: [ Laughs ] What do you know about loyalty?

Billy: I know that you can't hammer it into your children. Did you know, victor? No? Well, victoria came to me...

Victor: Ah.

Billy: ...Wanting to partner up in order to get locke to reconsider selling his company to you.

Victoria: Lily.

Lily: Well, I guess I'm not the only one working late.

Victoria: I spoke with billy earlier.

Lily: Yes, I heard.

Victoria: Well, it's a shame that we won't be teaming up. I think that ashland would have pulled the plug on the deal with adam and my father. Billy thought so, too.

Lily: Yeah, but I didn'T.

Victoria: I don't know what you're upset about. I'm the one that, uh, got turned down.

Lily: You know, I think we need to get something straight. You need to stop playing games with billy.

Victoria: [ Chuckles ] Excuse me?

Lily: 'Cause I know that you're co-parenting and so you'll always have that connection, right? The kids, the history, the drama.

Victoria: Oh, it's so good that you understand that.

Lily: But the tortured saga of victoria and billy is over permanently.

Find your rhythm.

"The young and the restless"

will continue.

Faith: No, it's not good enough. It doesn't say everything i need it to.

Nikki: Okay. Then start again.

Nick: What are you guys up to?

Faith: Hi, dad.

Nikki: Do you want to tell him, or should I?

Nick: Tell me what?

Faith: I was trying to put my feelings into writing, how disappointed that you were and how I can't change the past but I can change how I handle things in the future.

Nikki: And then we started talking about what rehab might look like.

Faith: And I was thinking... I'll be doing a lot of work there. And I'll be figuring out a lot about myself. And the letter I'll write after I've put in some work there will be better than this one. It will say all the stuff that i can't put into words right now. Does that make any sense?

Nick: A lot. I'm glad you two had a chance to talk about it.

Faith: I know it won't be that simple or that fast.

Nick: Well, I mean, you got to keep going to school and making good grades. There's gonna be appointments with your therapist and then after-school and weekend rehab sessions.

Nikki: Plus your homework.

Nick: And that is it. I'm serious. No screens, no parties, no hanging out with your friendS. You are on total lock-down from the time you get home from rehab until you go to school the next day. And the sooner you accept it, the easier it's gonna be.

Nikki: How do you feel about that?

Faith: I guess I'm pretty lucky.

Nick: [ Chuckles ] That is not the answer I was expecting.

Faith: I screwed up in the biggest way possible. I could have died. But I still have a family around me who loves me, who believes in me, and who are gonna stick by me. Things could be worse, a lot worse. So I guess I'm grateful.

Victoria: I, um -- I can see that you're upset, but it's completely unwarranted. I mean, I just approached billy about a simple business alliance, something that would benefit all of us.

Lily: Right, mm-hmm.

Victoria: Well, if you'd like to read more into this, then i can't stop you.

Lily: I think we both know what's going on here.

Victoria: The only thing i see going on here is you being insecure.

Lily: [ Laughs ] Actually, not at all. I have my eyes wide open. And the only reason why billy wanted to work with you was 'cause he thought that's the best way to beat adam and victor.

Victoria: I would like to give you a little advice. Why don't you take those wide-open eyes of yours and take a look at billy? I've been trying to warn you for months that, yes, he's charming and handsome and he's very exciting, but that's just one part of who he is. So you can forget about being upset with me because I proposed this deal, and you better remember that deep down he's a gambler.

Lily: He doesn't do that anymore.

Victoria: Oh, right. Well, no, maybe he's not haunting the poker tables, but that doesn't mean that that's not who he is. And any minute now, he could jeopardize everything that you've been building, both professionally and personally. So, if that is not the excitement that you're looking for in your life, then I suggest that you find a different partner.

Billy: Yeah, I was a little surprised, as well. But it's true. Victoria came to me, not the other way around. So I guess loyalty is a little tricky to define when your last name is newman.

Victor: Billy boy, you bore me, okay? The important thing is that adam and I have a deal in place with ashland locke. And I doubt seriously the latter is going to renege on that deal.

Billy: Well, you should keep telling yourself that.

Victor: You know, newman enterprises is in the very capable hands of my daughter victoria, who sadly and inconceivably has a peculiar weakness for you, which clouds her judgment.

Billy: Can I ask you a question, victor? And I would love an honest answer if you're capable of one.

[ Sighs ] How does it feel?

Victor: How does what feel?

Billy: Well, your staunchest ally is the son who tried to kill you. Your daughter, who you entrusted your most prized possession, sees through you so clearly that she would come to your enemy in order to simply undermine your business deal. It's got to suck being you right now.

Victor: How does it feel to you right now?

Billy: Feels pretty damn good.

Victor: Then I suggest you hold on to that feeling because it ain't gonna last, you know. I'm just getting started with you, billy boy. Once I've taken all of your employees... I'll use cyaxares to crush chanccomm.

Billy: [ Clicks tongue ] You're so predictable.

Victor: You don't even know what's in store for you. Fasten your seatbelt. When I get a migraine, I hide in the dark.

Victoria: Hello, dad.

Victor: Oh. What a surprise.

Victoria: Yes. Well, I'm meeting prescott over dinner.

Victor: Well, you say hello. Sit down, sweetheart.

Victoria: Thank you. I will. So, do you have any updates on adam?

Victor: [ Sighs ] Adam will come out of hiding once his name has been cleared, I'm sure.

Victoria: Mm-hmm. You know innocent people don't usually go underground.

Victor: Well, you know I am going to find the culprit.

Victoria: Mm. I see. So, you still don't think that adam had anything to do with poisoning rey?

Victor: He has so much to look forward to. Why would he waste his time on nonsense like that?

Victoria: Because, dad, he can't help himself, much like you can't appreciate that he's a liability, but I'm sure that locke will see things differently.

Victor: You know, i'm thinking back on a conversation you and I had where you suggested that I forego my bid to acquire cyaxares and that, instead, you buy it for newman.

Victoria: Are you reconsidering?

Victor: Let me ask you a question. Were you always planning to form a partnership with billy boy to crush my bid? Or was that plan b, to be put into effect once you lost to your father?

Billy: Oh, speak of the devil.

Ashland: I suppose I've been called worse. It's good to see you, billy.

Billy: You, as well. I assume you're here to finalize your deal with victor?

Ashland: Well, I know you tried to arrange a phone meeting with me. I, uh, hope you're not too upset you lost the bid.

Billy: I'll manage, but i appreciate that.

Ashland: Well, maybe we can do business in the future, but this deal is done.

Billy: Before you go, if you don't mind, can I ask a question?

Ashland: I've got three minutes. Go.

Billy: You still own cyaxares, and you claim to be invested in its future.

Ashland: "Claim"? I'll be on the board of directors.

Billy: Well, I apologize, but I'm confused by that because, in theory, you have a deal with victor and adam.

Ashland: I do.

Billy: And you do know that adam is on the run from the authorities right now? He's wanted for attempted murder.

Ashland: I'm aware of the situation, yes.

Billy: Yeah. Those newmans -- they're pesky, full of surprises.

Ashland: Indeed.

Billy: I guarantee you that victor is gonna tell you that his son is innocent and that he did nothing wrong. But of course what father wouldn't stand up for his son? I also want to make sure that you're aware that you're only getting half the team that you thought you were. And your competitors, like me, will have a field ray running stories about the potential ceo of cyaxares media being a criminal.

Ashland: Mm.

Billy: But let's put that aside for a second because there's something more pressing that you need to be aware of.

Ashland: Go on.

Billy: Once the ink is dry and you hand the keys to the kingdom to victor, his only plan is to weaponize it. And he's gonna point it directly at me. This has nothing to do with business with him. This is about revenge. And he's already lit the fuse. You are gonna be locked to trying to protect the company that you built from the ground up. Now, I don't know you, but I'm pretty confident you don't want to do that. Now, there is one way that you can stop the company that you love from being tarnished and ridiculed. Tell victor no.

Ashland: I'll keep that in mind.

Billy: Appreciate your time.

[ Sighs ] Lily? Lily? Hey!

[ Sighs ]

Sharon: Nick.

Nick: She just drifted off.

Sharon: Good.

Nick: How'd I beat you here? I dropped by your house, and rey told me that you were already on your way.

Sharon: I bought some things for faith.

Nick: Must have been a long line at the register.

Sharon: There were just so many options, and, you know, i wanted to make sure I was getting her something that she would really like. I couldn't make up my mind. After a while, everything became a blur.

Nick: I'm sure she'll love whatever you chose.

Sharon: What'd I miss?

Nick: Uh, my mom came by, just offered to help her with everything, you know. We were just going over the ground rules.

Sharon: How'd that go?

Nick: It was fine. Would have been a lot better if you were here.

Sharon: I got held up.

Nick: I left, like, half a dozen messages.

Sharon: I already explained why it took me a while.

Nick: Yeah, well, now is not the time to show up late for faith. I was talking to rey. He said that you've been kind of vague about what's going on with you.

Sharon: Oh, did he?

Nick: Yeah, it's like your head is elsewhere, like you're keeping something from us. A lot of people think dealing with copd is a walk in the park.

Sharon: What is this, an interrogation?

Nick: I just want to make sure you're okay.

Sharon: If you have concerns, just come to me instead of talking about me behind my back with my husband.

Nick: It's not a conspiracy. I'm just worried. You've been through a lot.

Sharon: Yes, I have. So cut me some slack, alright? Our daughter was in a terrible accident, and now she's going to rehab. My husband was poisoned. He almost died. And the man that they think is responsible for committing that crime is also the person who saved our daughter's life. He's the reason that faith is alive right now. And whether you like it or not, I have a lot of history with him.

Nick: Yeah. Rey and I were talking about that.

Sharon: And yet I'm somehow hiding something? Nick, you know the facts. You know how many hours I have been in this hospital, how many prayers I've said, and how hard I've worked to keep this together through pure chaos. And here you are, doubting me.

Nick: I just want to help, sharon.

Sharon: Well, stay out of my way, okay? I've got enough to worry about right now without having everybody on my back all the time.

Nick: [ Sighs heavily ]

Victoria: Yes, yes, I did approach billy and lily about partnering with me, but that's only after you turned down my idea to let newman step in first. You know, cyaxares is a crown jewel, and that's why I put a bid in it on the first place. I saw an opportunity. I took advantage of it. You would have done the same.

Victor: Why don't we talk about the real reason you approached billy boy to buy cyaxares?

Victoria: No, I am not trying to rekindle my relationship with billy.

Victor: The more you deny it, the less believable that becomes. I put you in charge of newman enterprises because i thought you had good judgment. You've given me reason lately to question my decision. That's a problem. You go fix it.

Billy: Come on, lily. I know you're in there. I saw you get in the elevator and come upstairs. Okay, if this is your way of telling me that you don't want to talk, ignoring me is only gonna make me --

Lily: Why would I ignore you?

Billy: Um, well, you know, because... our conversation got a little tense, and I wasn't sure if, you know...

Lily: Well, I was about to call you to come over here.

Billy: You were?

Lily: Mm-hmm. I know that things got a little volatile today, but I happen to know a very special cure for letting off steam.

Billy: You care to share?

Lily: Well, first you have to step inside... and put all of that tension and strife into my very capable hands.
