Chelsea: [Groans] [Exhales sharply]

[Knock on door] [Knock on door]

Chloe: Adam? Meredith? It's Chloe.

Chelsea: Come on in.

Chelsea: I hope you brought the Champagne.

Chloe: What are you doing out of your chair? You really shouldn't be taking risks liket his. What if Meredith walked into this room?

Embarrassed to talk to you because you were there when it happened. She'll take my call. Faith? It's me. Um...listen, your grandmother told me what happened, and you must be so upset and scared and so hurt. That's why I need you to come home, baby -- so we can talk about this and I can tell you how much I love you. You know, your grandmother's right. We can get you through this. Just come home. Or call me, please. I love you. She'll call me back. She has to.

Nikki: So, um, there's one more thing you need to know.

Sharon: What?

Nikki: A bottle of tequila is missing from our bar.

Sharon: Are you kidding me? You let my little girl get her hands on a bottle of alcohol?

Nikki: [ Stammers ] I'll be observing your safe-driving abilities.

Sharon: Have you talked to faith?

Nick: No, but I left her a message a few minutes ago.

Sharon: Did she call you back?

Nick: What's going on?

Sharon: That friend of faith's -- jordan.

Nick: Yeah, the one that was protecting faith from the bullies at school.

Sharon: Who was also around when she was drinking.

Nick: What'd she do?

Sharon: She's re-ignited everything. She was pretending to be faith's secret admirer. She just told faith the truth.

Nick: Are you kidding me? Why can't she just leave her the hell alone?

Sharon: [ Sighs ] Faith has run off somewhere, and there's a bottle of alcohol missing from the main house. Nick, I'm afraid she's drinking again, just to numb the pain and to forget, maybe to punish herself.

Nick: [ Sighs ] Where are you?

Sharon: I'm at home.

Nick: Where's my mom?

Sharon: She's talking to ranch security.

Nick: Alright. I'm sure she couldn't have gotten far. Uh, it's cold. She's probably scared. She's, you know, probably just holed up on the grounds somewhere on the ranch.

Sharon: I hope you're right.

Nick: I'm on my way. We'll find her.

Sharon: [ Voice breaking ] We have to. We have to.

Chelsea: I thought you'd be applauding me. I swore I would get adam out of my life, and I finally did it. He's finally getting what he deserves.

Chloe: I don't give a damn of what happens to adam.

Chelsea: So then what's the problem?

Chloe: Rey was in intensive care. He could have died.

Chelsea: But he didn'T.

Chloe: What if he had? What then?

Chelsea: I did my research, okay, chloe? I didn't give him enough to kill him.

Chloe: Oh, okay. So now you're an expert at poison dosages? What if faith and sharon had been exposed? Anything could have happened, chelsea.

Chelsea: But it didn'T. Everything went according to my plan.

Chloe: You promised me that no one but adam was going to get hurt, and rey was an innocent victim here.

Chelsea: Rey's fine. He's already back on the job.

[ Sighs ] And adam is on the run with no way out.

Chloe: So the ends justify the means?

Chelsea: Yeah, they do. In this case, they do.

[ Sighs ] All of the evidence points to adam, okay? And he's on the run, which just makes him look more guilty. No one is gonna question anything. They're certainly not gonna suspect the two of us.

Chloe: Yeah, you better pray you're right.

Chelsea: Everyone knows what adam is capable of. Everyone knows what adam has done in the past, so poisoning rey really wouldn't be anything new. You know, I mean, that big exposé came out about him, making him look like a monster. Uh, and then -- let's see -- that picture of him kissing sharon -- and then the texts, the desperate texts that he seemingly sent to her. It's all proof that adam wanted rey out of the picture so that he could have sharon all to himself. And then he made it happen.

Chloe: You made it happen. You poisoned an innocent man, a police detective. And now, thanks to you, suddenly I'm an accessory to a major crime.

Victor: Detective.

Rey: I'm looking for adam. Where is he?

Victor: What do you mean, "where is he?" Why do you want to know?

Rey: Because a warrant is being issued for his arrest.

Victor: On what grounds?

Rey: Attempted murder.

Victor: And who's the supposed victim?

Rey: You are looking at him.

Victor: [ Chuckles ] You're drumming up murder charges against my son. Why? To save your fragile marriage?

Rey: There is plenty of evidence to support it. If you are hiding adam, I will have you charged with aiding and abetting, so I'm asking you again -- where is he?

Victor: And I'm telling you again I can't say.

Rey: You can't or you won't?

Victor: You watch your tone, son. Are you accusing me of a crime?

Rey: You know, I know you and your son are on much better terms these days since you're going into business together. That's a far cry from when he was messing with your prescriptions.

Victor: Don't you come here and make all kinds of allegations, alright? I have no idea where my son is. He's not required to check in with me. But if I were to venture a guess, he is with the woman he loves, who, by the way, has suffered a debilitating stroke. Do you honestly think he'd give up all that in order to have some vendetta against you? You must be kidding me.

Rey: You know, I was actually at the penthouse a little while ago. Your son took off when he found out he was our one and only suspect. He actually ran off on the woman that he loves. So, you have any other theories?

Victor: Detective, that's your job. I suggest you find another suspect.

Rey: I go to where the evidence leads me. If your son gets in contact with you and you keep that information from me, you will not only be aiding and abetting, but you will be obstructing a criminal investigation, and you will pay the consequences.

Victor: Who the hell do you think you're talking to? You watch it. Don't you ever threaten me again. (Vo) it's yooopllllaaaitiimmeee!!!

Rey: We've got enough evidence to build a strong case against adam, right?

Michael: Mm, seems pretty damning. And running only makes him look worse. But now you got to find him.

Rey: Yeah, I'm already working on that. I put out an all points bulletin. I'm just worried that victor's gonna pull out all the stops to make sure that adam stays off the radar.

Michael: Well, it wouldn't be the first time victor put someone on his private jet to make a clean getaway.

Rey: Yeah, well, paul's already thought of that. He checked the airfields to make sure that adam doesn't board a plane.

Michael: Hmm. Look, rey, uh, adam didn't get much of a head start, but if he's under victor's protection --

Rey: It's incredible. After everything this guy's done, even almost killing him.

Michael: Surprising, isn't it, the lengths we go to, to protect our children?

[ Cellphone ringing ] Is that the station?

Rey: It's sharon. Hey.

Sharon: Rey, I'm scared. Could you come home?

Rey: Have you heard from adam?

Sharon: No. He's the last thing on my mind.

Rey: Then what's wrong?

Sharon: It's faith. She's missing.

Chelsea: Calm down. The blame for rey's poisoning will fall squarely on adam's shoulders.

Chloe: You have no idea how this is gonna play out. I have children that I have to think of. I can't risk getting locked up again.

Chelsea: No. You won'T.

Chloe: You made it sound like this wasn't going to be dangerous. I mean, planting trinkets of sharon's in his car, sending those stupid text messages. It all seemed harmless enough.

Chelsea: I needed you. You said you wanted to help me.

Chloe: Yeah, I thought that you just wanted to set him up for a burglary charge or accuse him and sharon of having an affair, something a little tamer than attempted murder.

Chelsea: I promise you -- miles and bella are not gonna lose their mom to prison, okay? I didn't tell you the whole story because I was trying to protect you. The less you knew, the better. I mean, I was doing it for your safety.

Chloe: Nothing about your plan was safe, chelsea, for anyone.

[ Knock on door ]

Chelsea: Go. Go, go.

Chloe: [ Sighs ] Hi, victor.

Victor: Hey. I came to see my son.

Chloe: Um, well, he actually wasn't here when I arrived. Something wrong?

Victor: I'd like to talk to chelsea's nurse.

Chloe: She's on a break. Is there something I can do to help?

Victor: Kindly tell her to give me a call when she comes back, okay?

Chloe: Is there some sort of emergency?

Victor: Just do as I say. So, chelsea... you know, rey rosales and I ran into each other. He's going around spouting all kinds of theories and accusations. Pay him no mind, okay? I'll take care of things. I know that you and adam love each other very much. I know that he means a great deal to you. Don't you worry. I'll bring him back to you, okay? I don't want you to worry. Have a nice day.

Chelsea: [ Thinking ] Not even the great, all-powerful victor newman can put things back together this time.

[ Door closes ]

Chelsea: [ Sighs ] What's the #1 retinol brand

Rey: Yeah, I'm on my way there now, sharon. But you call me if anything happens in the meantime. Nothing's gonna happen to her. She's a smart kid. She's gonna be okay. I love you, too.

Michael: Sounds serious. Anything I can help with?

Rey: It's faith. She's had a rough couple months. Tonight it's all come to a head.

Michael: School problems?

Rey: It's bullies. They're making her life miserable.

Michael: Ohh. I'm so sorry to hear that. I know how painful that can be for a kid.

Rey: Look, I'd like to get back to the ranch, see if I can help.

Michael: Go. Don't worry about the manhunt. We will find adam.

Rey: You don't know how bad i want to be the one to slap the cuffs on him.

Michael: Well, don't give up hope. Go, find faith, take care of sharon, and then get on adam's trail.

Rey: Okay. Thank you. I'll be in touch.

Michael: Sure.

Lauren: Hello, my love. How are you doing?

Michael: Mm. Well, I've had a hell of a day. Where would you like me to start?

Lauren: Oh, at the beginning. It's always fun there. I've been up to my eyebrows in winter designs. So, what did I miss?

Michael: Long story short, adam newman.

Lauren: [ Sighs ] Is he causing trouble again?

Michael: Gone off the deep end again.

Lauren: Well, that seems right on schedule. But you -- what's going on? There's something eating at you.

[ Mug taps ]

Michael: Faith is missing.

Lauren: My god. Did she run away?

Michael: I didn't get all the details, but it looks like it.

Lauren: That's awful. Does her family have any idea why?

Michael: Apparently, she was being targeted by bullies at school.

Lauren: Every time I hear a story like that, I just want to kick myself for what I did to traci. I wish I could go back in time and tell my younger self what an idiot I was being and how much pain and heartache I caused.

Michael: Mm. Puts me in mind of fenmore bullying that poor kid when he was younger.

Lauren: Jamie vernon.

Michael: Mm-hmm.

Lauren: I think about him from time to time.

Michael: Yeah. So do I.

Lauren: He must have felt so alone. Could have ended so tragically.

Michael: Well, thank goodness fenmore turned his life around. Being bullied himself certainly gave him some perspective on the issue.

Lauren: Right. I wonder what happened to jamie.

Michael: I didn't tell you?

Lauren: Mnh-mmh.

Michael: He's practicing law. He's got a great career ahead of him.

Lauren: That warms my heart.

Michael: Mm.

Lauren: See? There's hope for us all.

Michael: Well... some of us.

Lauren: Yeah. But I truly feel that with the love and support of her family, faith is gonna be okay.

Sharon: Faith. It's me again. Baby, I love you so much. I need to know that you're alright. We can help you get through this. Just come home. Or tell us where you are, and we'll come and get you. But we need to know that you are safe. So please, sweetheart, call me. I love you.

[ Door opens ]

Victor: Yes. Well, you let me know as soon as you hear anything. Anything at all. Okay. I'll be waiting.

Nick: Your security team?

Victor: [ Inhales deeply ] Yeah. Everyone has been alerted.

Sharon: And no one's seen her yet?

Victor: No. But there's a lot of ground to cover.

Nikki: Faith knows this property like the back of her hand, every hill, every stream.

Sharon: The thought of jordan turning on her like that just disgusts me.

Nick: I really thought we'd solved this by telling the school about the bullying. I don't know where to go from here.

Sharon: Well, first we'll find her, and then we'll reassure her and...

Victor: One second. Yes? Oh, okay. Alright. You pursue this. Yep.

Sharon: What is it? Did they find her?

Nick: What's wrong?

Victor: One of the ranch trucks is missing.

Lauren: How much vacation time do you have coming up?

Michael: Not enough. Never enough.

Lauren: Mm. Well, I knew things would get crazier once you became D.A. Again, and I know you have some high-profile cases, as well, but, uh, let's not forget about the wifey.

Michael: How could I?

Lauren: And that very relaxing, romantic hawaiian vacation you promised me? The sooner you win your next case, the sooner we're gonna be lounging on the beach, spotty wi-fi, and nothing to do but enjoy each other.

Michael: [ Laughs ] Spotty wi-fi, eh?

Lauren: Well, come on! Call me selfish. I want you all to myself, no phones, no internet. I want warm beaches, starry nights, and nothing on your to-do list but me.

Michael: Sounds promising.

Lauren: [ Laughs ] Alright, well, here's a little something for you so you don't forget.

Michael: What?

Lauren: There.

Michael: What are you texting me?

Lauren: [ Chuckles ] A picture of paradise. White beach, blue skies, pure bliss.

Michael: I'm using this as my screen saver.

Lauren: [ Laughs ]

Chloe: I mean, now that victor's on the case, forget it. I mean, that man will move heaven and earth to protect adam. And he will get his entire investigative team to figure out the truth and clear his name. That's if the gcpd doesn't find out first that we set him up.

Chelsea: It's not gonna happen. This plan is foolproof. Plus, I have an alibi, verified by my doctor. I have been stuck in this chair for months. Dr. Cavett even said herself adam was irrational for thinking I have recovered any movement. And as far as anyone else is concerned, I'm still adam's loyal, loving partner. I mean, victor was just here a few minutes ago saying that, validating that. So, chloe, come on. You have nothing to worry about.

Chloe: Well, you have your airtight alibi. Great. What about me, chelsea?

Chelsea: That's what I'm saying. We both have nothing to worry about. Unless...

Chloe: Unless what?

Chelsea: Well, there's one wild card, someone who knows everything I've done.

[ Sighs ] Someone who could potentially ruin everything.

Chloe: Me?

Chelsea: Can I still trust you? Or do I have to worry that my best friend might be turning me in?

This is a cold call.

Chloe: You can't actually believe that I would rat you out to the police. We are in this together. So if you're going down, I'm going down, too.

Chelsea: Thank you.

Chloe: But, moving forward, I want to be fully informed about everything. I am not participating in any plans unless I know exactly who's involved and what's at stake.

Chelsea: Agreed.

Chloe: And I'm sorry if I'm acting like I've never crossed a line before, especially when it comes to adam, but, you know, i promised kevin and myself that i moved on, that would never allow my hatred of adam to drive me to commit crimes again. I have to think about my children. I have to set an example for them. I cannot be out there doing crazy things.

Chelsea: I understand. But, I mean, what we did was for a good cause.

Chloe: There is no justifying this. Even when I was at my worst, i never put an innocent person's life in danger.

Chelsea: Mm-hmm. I mean, rey survived, but...

Chloe: Uh, thank god! And I can't help wondering, "what if he hadn't?"

Chelsea: I get it. I totally get it. But I promise you I never thought rey was in any real danger. But I'm sorry. I never should have put you in an uncomfortable position.

Chloe: That's the understatement of the year.

Chelsea: What I did was really unfair to you. I should have never asked you to get involved without telling you everything first.

[ Sighs ] But, I mean, you're my best friend, and I never could have gotten through any of this without you.

Chloe: [ Breathes deeply ] I'm happy that we are friends, despite all of this.

Chelsea: I owe you.

Chloe: Oh, you have no idea how much. I am already planning a romantic getaway with kevin, and I'm leaving the kids in your care.

Chelsea: Absolutely. Whatever you want.

Chloe: Oh, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Okay, so, what do we do? What's next?

Chelsea: There's nothing i really can do but wait. I can't suddenly make a miraculous recovery. It would be too suspicious, too convenient. So I just have bide my time, sit back in that chair motionless, silent, while the police search for adam.

Chloe: What do you think he's doing?

Chelsea: [ Breathes deeply ] If he's smart, he's found a country that has no extradition treaty with the U.S. And he's on a plane taking him far, far away.

Michael: Thanks so much.

[ Mug thuds ]

Victor: Well, I don't think i have to tell you how desperate we are to find her. You let me know as soon as you hear anything.

Sharon: What did he say about the missing truck?

Victor: [ Sighs heavily ] Apparently, one of the guards at the north gate saw a truck in front of the stables and a blond girl behind the wheel.

Nick: And nobody stopped her?

Victor: No, because one of the ranch hands has a daughter with blond hair who comes onto the property and drives that same truck sometimes, so they didn't see any need for alarm.

Sharon: Faith can't drive. She doesn't even have her learner's permit.

Nick: Every one of the kids in the family learned to drive on the ranch at an early age, starting with the golf carts. She probably figured out that's all she needed to know.

Sharon: But an actual truck? We should have rey call this in.

Victor: We have already notified the police.

Sharon: [ Sighs ] I don't even want to imagine her behind the wheel. And in the dark, no less. And there's a good chance she's been drinking. There has to be something we can do to find her now.

Nick: Find my kid.

Sharon: What? What are you talking about?

Nick: If she has her phone with her, I can find her.

Nikki: Well, darling, we've already called her many times.

Nick: No, it's an app I had installed on her phone. If she hasn't turned it off, I can pinpoint her location.

Victor: Find anything?

Nick: Well, hold on. I have never used this before. Wait. Here she is. I've got her.

Sharon: Where is she? Can you tell if she's still on the property?

Nick: Ah, the signal keeps dropping.

Victor: The service in that area is lousy.

Nick: Yeah. Well, I'm not wasting another second. I'm gonna get in the car and drive around. I will track down her signal and bring her home.

Sharon: You're not going anywhere without me.

[ Keys jangle ] Call us. Please let us know if you hear anything at all.

Nikki: Yes, of course. I-I will. Be careful!

Victor: [ Sighs ] Hi sabrina!

Nikki: [ Sighs ] I should never have left faith alone, not even for a minute. If I had just stayed there and talked to her, none of this would have happened.

Victor: Sweetheart, this is not your fault. None of us could have known that faith would react that way.

Nikki: [ Sighs ] This is completely out of character for her. But so much has been these days.

[ Stammers ] For her to be deceived by somebody that she considered a friend.

Victor: Boy, do I wish to talk to the girl who sent those texts.

Nikki: It just broke my heart. I kept thinking how brave she was. She seemed so strong.

Victor: You know, I wish that she had just felt free to come to me. She used to confide in me. We were so close.

Nikki: She has been through so much at such a young age. And with everything that has happened, it's -- it's made it difficult for her to want to share things with us, to trust her family. I know we can help her, but we have to find her first.

Victor: Sweetheart --

Nikki: I just want to hold her and never let go.

Victor: I know. I know. This is so damn upsetting. I -- [ Sighs ] Nicholas will find her, I'm sure.

Nikki: I hope so.

[ Door opens ]

Rey: Hi, nikki.

Nikki: Hi, rey.

Rey: Victor, didn't expect to see you here.

Victor: We're worried about our granddaughter, alright?

Rey: [ Sighs ] Uh, is there any news on faith? I have some officers on the lookout for her.

Victor: Oh, yeah? The same guys who are wasting their time tracking down my innocent son?

Rey: Do you know where sharon is?

Nikki: She and nicholas were able to use a tracking device on his phone to try to locate her, but we haven't heard anything from them since they left.

Victor: Sweetheart, don't you worry, okay? Nicholas will -- I'm certain he will find her.

[ Sighs ]

Nick: She showing up?

Sharon: There's no sign of her on this tracking app. Do you see any headlights?

Nick: We're gonna find her, sharon, get her home safe and sound, alright? I need you to do something for me.

Sharon: What is it?

Nick: Whatever you do, do not let me go over to jordan's parents' house and read them the riot act for their daughter being such a nightmare.

Sharon: I'll do my best.

Nick: I know I said I was gonna let the school handle this, but I'm done with that. I need to stick up for my daughter.

Sharon: Look, right now all i can think about is finding our baby.

Nick: [ Sighs ] Got anything yet?

Sharon: [ Sighs ] Yes! There she is. I have her location.

Nick: Where is she?

Sharon: She's just over that hill and to the left, but, nick, according to this -- I hope this is wrong because this says she's moving really fast.

Nick: How fast?

[ Cellphone chimes ]

Faith: [ Gasping ]
