Amanda: Oh, wait. Don't close the door. I didn't have enough hands.
Devon: Oh, let me get these for you.
Amanda: Thank you.
Devon: Yeah. Come in. I'm going to, uh, go out on a limb and say someone wants to cook tonight.Amanda: Well, I know that you made reservations at that new argentinean place, but it is downright frosty out there and so warm and toasty in here.
Devon: Aww. Well, you know, I have that effect wherever I am, so...
Amanda: Ha-ha. Funny.
Devon: What are you cooking?
Amanda: Not me. Us. We will be making dinner together.
Devon: Oh, really?
Amanda: Mm-hmm.
Devon: So I get to see your skills.
Amanda: And I get to find out if you can do more than make world-class omelets.
Devon: You're about to be blown away.
Amanda: You haven't even seen what I can do yet. But I have a feeling, you put our two minds together, there's no telling what we'd create.
Devon: You make it sound like you already know we make a good team.
Amanda: Well, the proof is in the pudding.
Devon: Are we having pudding tonight? I like that.
[ Chuckles ]
Amanda: Why don't we get started and we'll find out.
Devon: Okay.
Elena: Ah!
Nate: I was about to ask you how you like the room.
Elena: Oh, my gosh, this place is amazing. I love it. Look, the ocean -- it's right there!
Nate: I'm glad you like it.
Elena: I'm ready to relocate. The air's so pure here and you can see all the stars in the sky. How'd you find this place?
Nate: I have my sources.
Elena: What's her name?
Nate: His name is terrence. Dr. Terrence marshall.
Elena: Surgeon?
Nate: Yeah. He and his wife honeymooned here. I have no secrets.
Elena: Well, I don't care if this is your first or your fifth visit. This place is heaven on earth.
Nate: It's about as different from genoa city in february as you can get.
Elena: Genoa city? Huh. Never heard of it. So what do you say? Should we get this vacation started?
Nick: Part of me wants to just ignore the look on your face that's been there ever since summer and kyle left. Then there's the other part that wants you to just ruin the suspense and tell me whatever it is that you don't want me to know.
Phyllis: It's nothing. You know, summer and I were just talking about that cindy -- sally spectra girl.
Nick: The girl that's working with summer?
Phyllis: Oh, the girl that's working against summer. She's manipulative, she's dangerous. She masquerades as everybody's pal, she's everybody's friend. And then you just saw kyle, he grabbed summer and pulls her out of here, says he wants to talk to summer about her.
Nick: Yeah, what do you think's going on?
Phyllis: I don't want to jump to conclusions. I don't want to overreact, so...
Nick: You don't want to overreact?
Summer: Are you finished casing the joint?
Kyle: Yeah, look, I need to be absolutely sure we're alone.
Summer: Hmm. You just want me all to yourself, huh?
Kyle: No, it's not that.
[ Sighs ] There's something you need to know.
Summer: Okay, just tell me, kyle. Just tell me. What happened with sally? Did you know that 70% of the soils

Jack: I'll call you back when I got the numbers in front of me. Yeah. Great.
Sally: Well, this is an unexpected treat. I get to see that jack abbott smile twice in one day.
Jack: Well, hello, there.
Sally: Do you mind if I join you?
Jack: I would be disappointed if you didn'T. So I take it your day only got better after we finished celebrating your promotion?
Sally: Well, that was the highlight. Everything else pales in comparison.
Jack: You know, politics is a career you could always have in your hip pocket.
Sally: [ Laughs ] Alright, busted. I oversold it. But I adore my career and I'm not going anywhere.
Jack: So I can't help wondering -- now that you have the job, now that your career's going the way you want it to, what's next for sally spectra?
Sally: Well, won't it be fun to find out.
Nick: I would really like you to fill me in a little on what is going on with summer and sally, 'cause I have no clue.
Phyllis: Well, I'm not sure you're ready for it. That's all.
Nick: Why don't you try me?
Phyllis: That sally girl is thirsty.
Nick: Easy fix. Let's get her a beverage.
Phyllis: No, you know what i mean. She desires attention and approval. It's like she's obsessed with it, and she goes after what's not hers and she'll do anything to get it.
Nick: And what does this have to do with our daughter?
Phyllis: She wanted summer's job at jcv.
Nick: Wanted -- key word there. So it's in the past, she's moved on?
Phyllis: It's not the only thing she wanted.
Nick: Kyle.
Phyllis: Yeah. Ugh, I don't know. Summer said she took care of it and that kyle is devoted to her.
Nick: I've heard that before.
Phyllis: Yeah, but then he comes in here and grabs summer, and he says he needs to talk to her about sally. I mean, what's so urgent?
Nick: Well, I mean, it's all hypothetical, right? 'Cause you don't know what's going on.
Phyllis: No, I mean, I don't know what's going on.
Nick: Right, and you're not gonna get any answers until you speak to summer. So...until then, allow me to provide a distraction.
Phyllis: A distraction? Alright, but it better be good.
Nick: I like my chances.
Phyllis: Oh, because I can't fight the feeling that something's not right.
Summer: Theo?
Kyle: Yeah, he came back to town to lob one last bomb at me, and sally heard every word. He's headed back to paris, but the damage is already done.
Summer: Okay, well, you better start talking because there's about a million different scenarios running through my head right now, and each one is a little bit worse than the one before it.
Kyle: I don't know how to tell you this.
Summer: Okay, kyle, whatever it is, we're gonna be fine.
Kyle: I don't know.
Summer: What do you mean you don't know? Do you not trust me? Do you not trust us?
Kyle: [ Sighs ] Okay.
[ Exhales sharply ] Back when I was living in new york.
Summer: Back when you first met theo, yeah?
Kyle: I was splitting my time between the city and the hamptons. There were parties all the time. Actors, musicians, venture capitalists, politicians -- everybody. Then there was this one night, I met someone.
Summer: A woman?
Kyle: Yeah. Her name was tara. And to be honest, I only got involved with her because I was trying to get over you.
Summer: After our breakup?
Kyle: Yeah.
Summer: Okay, go on.
Kyle: [ Sighs ] We never thought it would go past that first night together. Never meant for it to. Because she was married.
Summer: Okay.
Kyle: But it did. And we started seeing a lot of each other. And things got more...intense.
Summer: Intense like you -- you developed feelings for her? What, did you fall in love with her?
Kyle: Yeah, I thought I did. At the time, but then things ran their course, and I went back to the city and she went back to her marriage, a--
Summer: And? And what?
Kyle: And I'm so sorry if telling you this hurts you.
Summer: Yeah, it's not the most honorable thing that you've done, but I -- I can't throw stones. You know, there's plenty of things in my past that I have done that I am still trying to live down, so...
Kyle: That might be the case, but --
Summer: Well, I'm sorry. Hold on. Does sally really think that this years-old affair is something that she can hold over our heads?
Kyle: If that were all to the story, I'd have the same reaction as you. But there's more. Woman: I have moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
Amanda: Okay, so we've got 15 minutes, and then we have to put the biscuits in the oven.
Devon: Okay. So did I pass your kitchen test?
Amanda: You were...adequate.
Devon: I was adequate?
Amanda: Alright, fine, you showed off mad skills.
Devon: And I'm not just a one-trick pony with my omelets. Right?
Amanda: You are impossible. You really want me to say that?
Devon: I really want you to say it, yes.
Amanda: You are not a one-trick pony.
Devon: Oh, thank you. Thank you.
Amanda: You happy?
Devon: I am happy, yes.
[ Chuckles ]
Amanda: I also have a confession to make.
Devon: Oh, you do, huh? About my omelets?
Amanda: Sort of. One time when I was here, i scoped out your kitchen. I saw that you had all of the latest gadgets and the top brands. I wasn't surprised, really.
Devon: Why? 'Cause rich people usually have nice things?
Amanda: Yes. But they don't always know how to use them.
Devon: Mm-hmm.
Amanda: So I watched you as you chopped and prepped.
Devon: You stole my moves is what you did.
[ Chuckles ]
Amanda: And I kept thinking, "wow. Maybe he is the real deal."
Devon: Well, I appreciate that. You're no slouch ever. You know your way around the kitchen pretty well.
Amanda: Yeah, especially since I haven't had a kitchen since I moved to genoa city.
Devon: Yeah? Well, where'd you find that recipe?
Amanda: [ Sighs ] It has been so long, I -- i forgot.
Devon: There's no way you forgot where you found that, as much love as you put in to making it.
Amanda: It was from one of my foster moms.
Devon: Oh.
Amanda: I...really liked it there, so I did everything i could to make it last. I would help with the cleaning without being asked. I kept quiet. I did my homework without complaining. But the best was cooking with her. You know, she would sing and ask me about my day. And she taught me all of her husband's favorite dishes. But one day, when I made this recipe, she said that I had even outdone her.
Devon: Really?
Amanda: Yes.
Devon: Man, what'd her husband think?
Amanda: Oh, he had a couple bites and then he pushed it away, said it wasn't good enough.
Devon: Really? What a sweet guy.
Amanda: No matter what I did or how hard I tried to fit in, he didn't want me there. You know, he said that I was always in the way, that I was too much to handle. So one day I had to leave.
Devon: They sent you back?
Amanda: Mm-hmm. But, you know, when I was unpacking, I noticed that his wife had slipped this recipe into my bag, and -- and even though I was hurt, I was so touched. And now I am sharing it with you.
Devon: Well, I am honored to try it, so thank you very much.
Amanda: Every time I've made this recipe, it has been bittersweet. You know, it brings back a lot of memories. But I don't know, maybe the scales have shifted a little. Less bitter, more sweet.
Elena: This might be the best margarita I have ever had.
Nate: Hmm. When I ordered from room service, I specified my favorite tequila, so I'm pretty sure these have the exact same ingredients they use at society.
Elena: Really?
Nate: So is it really any better, or is there a little something extra that's making everything so great?
Elena: Why, dr. Hastings, i do believe it's you. You make everything better.
Jack: Okay, what were you just talking to the bartender about?
Sally: I -- I was just telling him to put everything on my tab because the drinks are on me.
Jack: Very sneaky. Okay, I will accept your generosity on one condition -- i get to toast you one more time.
Sally: Well, I won't say no to that.
Jack: You astonish me, sally.
Sally: Well, I would love to know how.
Jack: Well, for starters, you could teach a course on how to keep a positive outlook. I mean, you come to town with an enviable résumé, get saddled with a job you're much too qualified for.
Sally: Yes, but working as lauren's assistant was invaluable experience.
Jack: Yeah, and look where it got you. That transition from high to low would crush most people with less grit and determination.
Sally: Well, I learned how to make lemons into lemonade a long time ago.
Jack: I'm sure you were disappointed, but you never let it show. No, you kept your chin up, you decided not to let it bring you down, and look where it got you.
Sally: You have to got to stop flattering me, or my head's gonna get so big I'm not gonna be to fit through the door when it's time to leave.
Jack: I predict great things for you.
Summer: Okay, what more could there possibly be?
Kyle: I told you she was married. Her husband is the problem.
Summer: Okay, did he -- I mean, what happened? Did he find out about it?
Kyle: That is a complicated question. He knows his wife cheated, but he thinks it was with someone else and he dealt with it.
Summer: Okay, hold on, so these parties that you went to, you said that there was a lot of celebrities there?
Kyle: Yeah.
Summer: So is this girl anybody that I would know.
Kyle: No, no, no. Her husband is. Ashland locke.
Summer: I mean, I guess that sounds kind of familiar.
Kyle: He's a couple decades her senior. Insane spread on further lane in the hamptons. Houses all over the world, friends with prime minister and presidents and... did business with my grandfather. And probably yours.
Summer: Oh, no, no, no. Okay, no, I know that face. I've seen it in newspapers and magazines. He always looks so grim.
Kyle: Yeah. He is one of the most powerful men in the country, who has a reputation of going after people who've wronged him and doing it with a vengeance.
Summer: Okay, so what exactly does sally know that she shouldn't? If there aren't any texts or e-mails --
Kyle: No, no, no. We deleted everything. We covered our tracks, for her sake, because if it had ever gotten out, then --
Summer: Okay, so wait, you're telling me that all sally heard was a second-hand story from a first-rate piece of garbage. Right? There is no proof that you were ever with this woman. So no harm, no foul. I just don't see what the problem is. What's the #1 retinol brand
Devon: I got to tell you, that was some next-level cooking. In fact, let's make a toast to the amazing meal we just had and the woman that brought it to life.
Amanda: Okay. Now it's your turn.
Devon: My turn for what?
Amanda: Well, I told you something about my past, so now I want to hear about your life. And the real stories, okay? The personal ones.
Devon: You sure about that? It's a lot of good and bad in my past.
Amanda: And don't even think about holding back. I want your deepest, darkest secret. The one that you're afraid I'll find out.
Devon: Whoa.
Sally: Well, I have done my fair share of traveling, but every place you've mentioned is on my bucket list.
Jack: Yeah, I have had quite a few adventures.
Sally: Do you have a favorite place? Or a favorite memory?
Jack: No, all of them. You know, any time I travel, i can never seem to see enough. No matter how long the vacation is, it's never long enough. Um... copenhagen and kuala lumpur hold a very special place in my heart.
Sally: I have always wanted to go to malaysia. It just looks beautiful in photos. God, I just -- I can't wait to get back out there and just fill up every page in my passport.
Jack: Oh, I'm sure you will. Just give it some time.
Sally: [ Sighs ] Yes, unfortunately, patience is not my strong suit.
Jack: Well, in that case, i foresee only one solution.
Sally: Well, I am dying to hear it.
Jack: Convince lauren to open a fenmore's in every city you've always wanted to visit and then volunteer to supervise the opening of all of them.
Sally: I like the way you think. And of course, I'm gonna need someone to show me around.
Jack: Sometimes discovering places on your own is the best.
Sally: Good point. Okay. Enough dreaming. I need to get back to my place.
Jack: Big day tomorrow?
Sally: Oh, I have millions of documents to review and projects to manage, and I will be up to my eyebrows all night long. But I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world.
Jack: I admire your dedication.
Sally: I hope we can do this again sometime.
Jack: [ Sighs ]
Kyle: It's more complicated than it sounds.
Summer: Well, it sounds pretty simple to me, kyle. You had an affair with a married woman. It was one mistake.
Kyle: Mistake number two was telling theo.
Summer: Yeah, but you were friends with him at the time.
Kyle: And now he's told sally, and --
Summer: Yes, I know, and now she's motivated to use it as revenge. Okay, but just hear me out on this -- yes, your reputation will take a hit, but other than that, I don't see the issue with you taking this ammunition away from sally and just going public yourself with it.
Kyle: Summer, I can'T.
Summer: Why?
Kyle: Her husband. They don't call him ashland the "loch ness monster" for nothing. Even his wife is terrified of him. He's dangerous and he doesn't do anything halfway.
Summer: Okay, so then what happens if he finds out that you had an affair with his wife?
Kyle: He'll come after me, and then after my family and maybe you. Then he'll throw in everybody else who's close to me just for fun. Summer, everything we worked for down the drain, and there will never be any coming back from it.
Summer: Okay, so what do we do?
Kyle: Thing is, I -- I wanted you to hear it from me. I wanted you to know what happened. The answer's simple. We do nothing.
Managing type 2 diabetes?
"The young and the restless"
will continue.
Phyllis: I gave you time to think about the sally/summer situation. Please, what do you think? What's your opinion about summer?
Nick: Well, since you don't know why kyle wanted to talk to summer alone, you don't really have any idea what's going on, so you would just be guessing and then that's where problems arise.
Phyllis: Well, you know I'll do anything to protect summer.
Nick: I think our daughter can handle herself.
Phyllis: Oh, you don't know this girl. She is... she's snarky. She's a newcomer to town, this sally spectra.
Sally: Did I hear someone mention my name?
Phyllis: Nick, that is sally.
Sally: Spectra.
Nick: Hi.
Sally: It is such a pleasure. I cannot believe I'm actually meeting the nick newman of
restless style.
Nick: You heard of it?
Sally: Are you kidding? I read it from cover to cover when I was younger, including all the names on the masthead of the people behind the scenes.
Nick: That is so cool. I mean, she --
Sally: Let me see. You ran it with jack abbott.
Nick: Yeah, and sharon, we all just kind of did it together.
Sally: Man, those early days were nothing short of phenomenal.
Phyllis: And the years after.
Sally: Well, it broke my heart whenever it turned from a cutting-edge fashion magazine into a tawdry tabloid after you left, nick.
Phyllis: Well, and a more profitable magazine.
Sally: Hmm, yeah. I guess gossip appeals to a certain type of person. Some people just love to assume the worst in others. Makes them feel better about themselves.
Summer: Okay, you're just gonna have to rewind this all for me. First, you -- you whisk me away and you tell me that there's something that has the potential to wreck both of our lives. And then you say that you just want to do nothing about it.
Kyle: There's no way out of this.
Summer: [ Exhales sharply ] Wow. Okay, so sally wants to cause trouble for you and for us. Well, I'm sorry, but she's gonna get it with both barrels, kyle.
Kyle: Summer, I-I love you so much for having my back in this. But look at it this way -- sally thinks she's in the driver's seat, but all she has is enough to make this a stalemate. She admitted as much.
Summer: Really?
Kyle: Yes. It's a case of mutually assured destruction. If sally causes trouble, everything goes boom. If you go after her for threatening me, same thing.
Summer: Okay, so then what? Our hands are just tied here?
Kyle: You can be furious with theo and sally. I definitely am. But isn't it smarter for everyone to just sit on what they know?
Devon: [ Sighs ]
Amanda: Confessions are good fro the soul.
Devon: [ Chuckles ] Are they? No, if I start telling you about my trouble-making days, we'd be here all night.
Amanda: Okay, then tell me something I'd never guess about you.
Devon: Oh. Let's see. Um...did you know for a good chunk of time I was deaf?
Amanda: Actually, yes, i already knew that.
[ Chuckles ] But you didn't tell me when, so...
Devon: Well, it was not long after I moved in with the winters. I got meningitis, and I lost my hearing as a result of it. Didn't get my hearing back until tucker's researchers found a procedure that restored my hearing.
Amanda: That must have been incredibly difficult.
Devon: Yeah, it was -- it was rough. I wasn't -- I wasn't the most mature person at the time to deal with something like that.
Amanda: Well, that's understandable, given everything that you've been through.
Devon: And growing up in foster care, I moved around a lot like you did, so I was very hot-headed and rebellious. I got in fights all the time. And I carried those traits with me when I was living with the winters, so when I lost my hearing, I was very angry and resentful.
Amanda: I've seen that angry side up close and personal when I came to town.
Devon: Oh, yeah. That's right. I apologize for that. It's a complicated time.
Amanda: For both of us.
Devon: Yeah. Well, thankfully that side of me doesn't really make an appearance too often, so...
Amanda: Well, except --
Devon: Except for what?
Amanda: You and nate.
Devon: Yeah, yeah.
Amanda: I'm sorry. I should not have brought that up, especially since I know that you two are trying to work past it.
Devon: We are. We're gonna be forced to spend a lot more time together pretty soon when moses comes to town, so it's -- we're good.
Amanda: And things between you and elena are good now, too, right?
Devon: Um, yeah.
Amanda: I'm -- I'm sorry. I didn't want to bring down the mood. If it helps, there are some things that I've done that I'm not proud of.
Devon: Well, that's what we should be talking about. That's more like it. Yeah.
Amanda: Okay, no, another time.
Devon: No, I just told you my stuff. Come on.
Amanda: Okay, I already told you a story, so the rest of the night, I want to hear about you. We'll flip it next time.
Devon: Okay. Alright. All I heard was there's gonna be a next time, so I like that commitment.
Amanda: Well, there are a lot of leftovers and we are in our teen years, so I figured take at least a few nights.
Devon: [ Laughs ] It's crazy that we're even doing this.
Amanda: Why do you say that?
Devon: Just 'cause of how we met, just the whole situation we were in. That was -- it was crazy. And it could've sent us in very different directions, but we're -- we're here and enjoying each other.
Amanda: Yeah. You've had a very long and twisty road, and so have I. But I like the person that I am now. And I happen to like the man who's sitting across from me.
Devon: Oh, yeah?
Amanda: Yeah. So I think the lesson is the past might have made us, but it doesn't own us. So we get to enjoy this because we deserve it.
Nate: So you glad we came? Are you good?
Elena: Yeah, never better. You know you can stop fishing for validation. I've been gushing about this place -- and you -- since we got here.
Nate: I wasn't fishing.
Elena: Oh, really? So why all the questions?
Nate: I want this to be perfect for you. Because the way we started wasn'T. I hate the way I hurt devon, and I hate the hit my career took.
Elena: I know.
Nate: But the one thing i don't regret is being with you.
Elena: Nate --
Nate: Let me finish. I know how emotionally draining this has been for you, and maybe there will always be a part of me that wants to make things better. For you. When I wake up in the morning, I'm thinking about you. When I close my eyes at night, you're still on my mind. And in between, if there's something that I think of that will make you happy, I'll do it.
Elena: Wow. I don't even know what to say. You've made my heart so full, devon. Ready to shine from the inside out?
Elena: Nate, I am so, so incredibly sorry.
Nate: No, no, it's okay.
Elena: I am mortified right now. I wasn't even thinking --
Nate: Look. It happens. I'm fine.
Elena: Please tell me you forgive me.
Nate: Forgive what? It was a slip of the tongue.
Elena: I think it was just --
Nate: A mistake? I mean, what else would it be.
Elena: Exactly.
Nate: And if that's all it was, then there's no reason to be upset. What's important is that we're here together.
Elena: Right, that is what's important. We're here together by choice. And there's nowhere in the world that I would rather be and no one I would rather be with. Manzanillo is everything i thought it was gonna be. It's romantic, it's magical, and I am so happy you're sharing this special place with me.
Nate: Hearing all that is so gratifying. Because even though I know what's in your heart, I'm only human. And sometimes I can't help but wonder if you still think about devon...or even wish you can go back in time and fix everything that went wrong with the two of you.
Summer: Do you have any idea how infuriating this is?
Kyle: I know.
Summer: The amount of time and energy that went into getting sally exactly where i wanted her.
Kyle: She's still there.
Summer: No, kyle, because i don't want half of the cards. I want all of them.
Kyle: Okay, I screwed up. I made this more complicated. This is all my fault.
Summer: Look, kyle, I'm sorry, okay? I am not judging you for what happened in new york.
Kyle: If I could go back and undo everything. If I had just listened to your instincts about sally from the beginning.
Summer: Yeah, well, sometimes women can just see things in each other that men can'T. No offense.
Kyle: Yeah, I had her all wrong. Didn't realize she was diabolical.
Summer: You know, honestly, if anybody should be apologizing here, it's me.
Kyle: For what?
Summer: When we went on our fact-finding mission in la, you warned me. You said that sally might lash out, and now she has. In your direction. So she can't go after my job, so instead she attacks the man that I love, and honestly I could rip her to shreds, kyle.
Kyle: I don't deserve that much support.
Summer: Okay, when did you become mr. Humble? Of course you deserve my love and my support. Kyle, we are a team. Right? We are unsinkable. Okay, now, honestly, I really do appreciate how honest you've been with me, so thank you.
Kyle: Well, the bottom line is you're not going to lose anything because of me. I don't give a damn about theo or sally because in the end, there's no real cost.
Summer: There will be a day of reckoning, though. And I can promise you that sally will be the one who pays.
Phyllis: How do you like being lauren's assistant? Are you getting confused by the coffee orders?
Sally: Oh, haven't you heard? I got a big promotion.
Phyllis: Wow. I bet you're screaming that from the rooftop. Have you told kyle?
Sally: You know, I talk to kyle all the time. Seem to bump into each other every day.
Phyllis: Alright. Well, that's painful.
Sally: You know, it's been such a whirlwind since I got my promotion. It's really hard to remember whether or not I passed along my good news or not.
Phyllis: I'm sure you'll spread it around.
Sally: You know who I did tell about it, though, is jack abbott. He was positively beside himself.
Phyllis: I-I find that to be interesting, you know? Ceo of a huge corporation cares about the fate of a mere assistant. It's just interesting to me. Probably made quite an impression on him.
Sally: Well, I don't know where I'd be without him.
Phyllis: I'm sure.
Sally: You know who I haven't actually seen since everything changed for me is summer.
Phyllis: She's working really hard at her job.
Sally: Mm. Has she mentioned anything?
Phyllis: What, about your job? Really? Uh, no. Or about anything?
Sally: Just anything, really.
Phyllis: Oh, anything. Um, we really don't talk about you.
[ Chuckles ] Is there a reason she should mention something?
Sally: I suppose not. Anyway, it is getting late and i should get some rest. It was a real treat to meet you, nick.
Nick: Nice to meet you, too.
Phyllis: What? What are you smiling at?
Nick: I -- am I smiling?
Phyllis: Yeah. You are smiling. Do you see what I'm talking about?
Nick: Yeah, she's -- she's something else.
Phyllis: Yeah, she's something else. Something else. Let me be clear. If she gives our daughter anymore trouble, she is going to wish she never set foot in genoa city. I will make sure of it.
Phyllis: Hey! Hey, you kids! How you doing? We were just talking about you.
Kyle: Hey.
Nick: Everything okay with you two?
Summer: Yeah, yeah. Why wouldn't it be?
Phyllis: Why wouldn't it be? Well, you just left here so abruptly, we wondered.
Summer: No, I think you're just reading into it a little too much. No, everything's great. Yeah.
Phyllis: See? Told you. Don't worry.
Summer: Yeah, you don't have to worry. Okay? Don't you kids stay up too late, alright?
Nick: We won'T.
Summer: Okay.
Kyle: Night.
Nick: See? She said everything's fine.
Phyllis: [ Scoffs ] You believed that?
Nick: Why wouldn't I?
Phyllis: Because clearly it's not fine. I know my daughter. Something's going on. I'm gonna find out what it is.
Elena: I understand why you might wonder about things like that. It's hard not to. And you are only human. And I'm only human, too. And I make mistakes. But being here with you is not a mistake. I knew exactly what I wanted when I told you I wanted to go away with you. I wanted this. All of this. All of you.
Nate: You don't have to say that.
Elena: I'm saying it because it's true. You know, it's been a really rough few months for all of us. And I've tried to learn from it and change. And move on.
Nate: From devon.
Elena: And you know, I don't even think of him that way anymore. My heart and my mind is right here in this room. So...why don't you crawl back in here with me where you belong?
Amanda: Um, we should probably tackle those dishes. I know that it's a lot, but if we did it together, we could get it done pretty fast.
Devon: Well, you know, i surely didn't invite you over here so we can do dishes all night.
Amanda: Oh. What are your intentions, mr. Hamilton?
Devon: Oh, I don't know. I thought maybe we could just, you know, enjoy a meal or two.
Amanda: Two?
Devon: Yeah. I can always make those -- those world-class omelets for you in the morning, if you'd like.
Amanda: What are you waiting for?
