Episode #12039 ~ Elena comes clean with Devon. Rey wants Sharon to sever ties with Adam.
Provided By Suzanne
Jack: You say your trip to L.A. Was "eye-opening."
Summer: Oh, it was. In many ways.
Jack: Well, that's a lot more interesting than the update that kyle e-mailed me. He said the meetings went well.
Sally: [ Scoffs ] Whoops. Sorry. I really need to learn how to knock.
Jack: Oh, that's okay. Um... summer was just updating me on her trip to L.A.
Sally: Oh. How did it go? I asked kyle earlier, but he was too busy to tell me much of anything.
Summer: Well, it was great. And actually, I'm really glad that you're here.
Sally: Why? Do you have some work you need me to do?
Summer: Uh, no, no. I just wanted to let you know that when I was in los angeles, I met up with some of your old friends. Wyatt and bill spencer and flo fulton. And they all had a lot to say about you.
Rey: Hey. I got your text. Headed over as soon as my break started. Did you miss your new husband so much you couldn't wait till i got home to talk to me?
Sharon: Well, I'm always delighted to spend time with you. But there is something that i need to talk to you about, and you're probably not gonna like it.
Rey: Let me guess -- it's about adam.
Sharon: He wants me to treat chelsea.
Rey: Why would a stroke patient even need a therapist? Her problems are physical, not emotional. She can't even speak.
Sharon: Chelsea's doctors believe she may have some psychological issues holding back her progress.
Rey: And you've agreed to do it.
Sharon: Nope. I've agreed to talk to you about it first.
Rey: Okay. Well, let's say chelsea does need some help. My only question is, why do you have to be her therapist?
Nick: No, no, just tell them to be patient. I need to go over the lease. Well, we wouldn't be having this conversation if I had, right?
[ Scoffs ] Just text them back, tell them i will get back to them as soon as I can. Alright. Thanks. Bye. Sorry, mom.
Nikki: Oh, that's okay. You look tired, honey.
Nick: There's just so much going on with new hope right now. Tell me about you, though. You got to be bummed your trip to hawaii was canceled 'cause of weather.
Nikki: What can you do? Anyway, I'm more concerned about you. And faith. When I saw the two of you coming down the drive, I assumed that you were here at sharon's house, even though sharon isn't, because of faith. Has she gotten into more trouble?
Nick: She's alright. Um, school let all the kids out early 'cause of the ice storm. She said she wanted me to bring her home so she could work on her science project. She's upstairs doing that now.
Nikki: Ah. Has she said anything more about losing her temper at society?
Nick: I think it's gonna be awhile before she feels comfortable about opening up about that.
Nikki: Maybe not. Let grandma work her magic.
Devon: Hi.
Elena: Hey. Sorry to bother you at home.
Devon: It's fine. What's up?
Elena: Uh, this package came for you to the clinic. And it was overnighted, so i thought it might be important.
Devon: Oh. I appreciate you bringing it here. Why don't you come in?
Elena: Okay.
Devon: Thanks.
Elena: [ Exhales sharply ] Wow. Being here after all this time. It's so different.
Devon: Not much has changed. Except for you and me. (Coughing)

Devon: I'm sorry you felt the need to come all this way to drop this off.
Elena: Oh, it's fine.
Devon: Would've sent somebody to pick it up if you would have told me.
Elena: It's not a problem. I was happy to do it.
Devon: Um, let's find out if it's really for me or if it was meant for the clinic. Let me get my, uh... where's my letter opener?
Elena: Oh. I know. It's right...over here. This is not my house anymore.
[ Chuckles ] I'm sorry. I shouldn't be touching your things.
Devon: It's fine. You don't need to apologize. Thanks.
[ Sighs ]
Elena: So, I've been thinking... you know, now that time has passed and...we've both moved on, maybe we could, at some point, um, if not be friends, be something similar?
Nikki: Well, faith was very sweet and apologetic about her outburst, but when I tried to press her further, she shut down.
Nick: Yeah, I was afraid that's what was gonna happen. Really wish I had a better handle on what's going on with her. A while back, she told me that she was being bullied by some kids at school, so I contacted the school and her teachers and voiced my concern, but, you know, there's just no way they can control everything that's on the internet. She hasn't brought it up since, so I don't know if it stopped, or if maybe this is the reason why she's drinking.
Nikki: I know how hard this is for you and sharon, but you're doing the right thing, being proactive. Just keep talking to her and don't let her push you away.
Nick: I'm determined to get through to her. What I need is a chance to sit down and talk to sharon, you know, without fear of faith walking in. But I don't want to leave her alone, you know? Hey, what are you doing right now? Are you busy? Is there any way you could hang out here for a while?
Nikki: Yes, of course I can. I'll do anything I can to help. You know, the one thing I do know...is that faith will always know how much she is loved.
Sharon: Everything you're saying is true. Getting involved with chelsea's treatment would put me right back in adam's orbit again.
Rey: But you're still considering it.
Sharon: Well, for chelsea's sake, not his.
Rey: What, chelsea wants you to be her therapist? The two of you are barely friends. You two have a long and ugly history.
Sharon: Adam believes that that's a good thing.
Rey: Seriously?
Sharon: Yeah. He thinks that chelsea's resentment of me could motivate her to get better faster.
Rey: Oh, okay. Alright, so let me get this straight -- adam gets to torture his fiancée by bringing you along as her therapist. Well, that sounds like a good deal for adam. Lousy one for the two of you.
Sharon: Well, I have read of some cases where this kind of provocation has worked. And chelsea did react when i brought those books over the other night. When adam was talking about the idea of me working with her, she blinked her approval.
Rey: Well, I guess that settles it.
Sharon: No, no, it doesn'T. I haven't agreed to anything yet, and I'm not gonna make any decisions until you've weighed in.
Rey: Well, if you want my opinion, I think you should stay the hell out of it. There are plenty of other therapists who can treat chelsea with no baggage attached. But it's your decision to make.
Sally: So, what exactly did my friends have to say about me?
Summer: Well, wyatt and flo send their regards.
Sally: Well, that was...very nice of them.
Summer: Yes, it was.
[ Cellphone chimes ]
Jack: Ooh. A weather alert. Looks like this storm is only getting worse. I'm gonna take my work home. I suggest you both do the same.
Summer: Alright, drive safely.
Sally: Be careful.
Jack: You, too.
Sally: So, tell me more about your trip. I want to hear everything.
Summer: Uh, wyatt and especially flo had quite a bit to say about you, and their reviews weren't so glowing.
Kyle: What's going on?
Summer: Well, right now, sally is wondering exactly how i plan to use this information about her that we discovered in los angeles.
Sally: [ Scoffs ] Okay, I'm not exactly sure what you heard.
Summer: No, but you can take a pretty good guess. Right? I mean, I could spell it out for you, but I don't think that's really necessary.
Sally: Okay. So you found out what I did, and I can't do anything about that. But all I want to do is figure out how we can work together. Okay, yes, I know I screwed things up when I first got here. But I was upset that I didn't get a chance to pitch myself to run jcv because you already had the job. And it was wrong of me to resent you for that. So I'm sorry. And I hope that maybe we can just put all of the past behind us and start fresh. Ok everyone, our mission is to provide complete,
Sharon: I know that it's my call. I appreciate you allowing me to make it.
Rey: It's not my place to allow you to do anything. We're partners. I trust you. I'm just always gonna be worried when it comes to anything that adam is involved with, particularly when it comes to you.
Sharon: I understand. I mean, I don't disagree with your point of view. Still, if there's even a slight possibility that I'm chelsea's only chance of recovery, then i wouldn't want --
Nick: This a bad time?
Rey: No. No, it's -- it's fine. Um, I have to head down to the station anyway. We will continue this conversation tonight.
Sharon: Yeah. Okay.
Rey: Uh, do me a favor? Storm's pretty bad out there. Don't take any chances. Close up early.
Sharon: I was already planning to.
Rey: Okay.
Sharon: Did you, uh...drop off faith?
Nick: Uh, she's with my mom. Everything alright?
Sharon: Yeah. Why do you ask?
Nick: Seems like I walked into a pretty intense conversation there.
Sharon: Um, yeah, it was, but it didn't have anything to do with the two of us. I mean, not -- not directly.
Nick: Want to talk about it?
Sharon: No, not particularly.
Nick: Okay. Well, if it doesn't have anything to do with faith, then it's really none of my business.
Sharon: Actually, the only reason why I'm reluctant to tell you is because it has to do with your least favorite person in the world.
Nick: Well, if adam's involved, then it is my business. What's he up to now?
Summer: I agree with you.
Sally: You do?
Summer: I do. I don't really like gossip, as i think it gets in the way of productivity, so whatever you did in the past can stay there, as far as I'm concerned.
Sally: Thank you.
Summer: You're welcome.
Sally: But just out of curiosity...what exactly did my friends say about me?
Summer: Does it matter? Look, I'm not playing any games. And why blow things up for anybody? So as long as everyone stays in their lanes and isn't trying to screw anyone over, then let's let those sleeping L.A. Dogs lie. Right?
Kyle: I'm on board with everything summer just said. I wouldn't want anything coming out that could damage jabot or fenmore's reputation.
Sally: I couldn't agree more.
Summer: And just a heads-up -- if you're ever feeling, I don't know, under the weather or worried about a misdiagnosis or just anything like that...I know some great doctors around here that would be more than happy to give you a second opinion.
Gloria: [ Shivers ]
Jack: You are the last person I expected to show up at my door today.
Gloria: Oh, it feels like the end of the world out there.
Jack: I hope that doesn't make me just any port in the storm.
Gloria: [ Laughs ] Oh, jack, how I've missed that quick wit of yours.
[ Laughs ]
Jack: What brings you by, gloria?
Gloria: Guilt. When we ran into each other at society the other day, it was so hectic I didn't have a chance to offer my condolences on dina's passing. I truly am sorry for your loss.
Jack: Well, th-thank you. Um, it's -- it's been a difficult time, but we've managed to get through it.
Gloria: Yeah, she was a force. A dynamic presence.
Jack: Indeed she was. And delightful as it is that you've weathered the elements to come and pay your condolences, i can't help wondering if, uh, there might be another reason for your little visit.
Gloria: Just being back in genoa city, it's made me realize how much I missed all the old connections -- the friends, the family. And, of course...you qualify for both.
Jack: Okay. What is it you're really after?
Elena: Despite what I did, you're still really important to me. And when you told me that you didn't want to live in anger and you were able to look at me and not just see the betrayal...it gave me hope that maybe we could get to the other side of this. But if friendship is pushing it, I completely understand.
Devon: No, no, it's not pushing it at all. It's -- it's something I've thought about, too.
Elena: You have?
Devon: Yeah, for sure. And I don't think that it's impossible for us.
Elena: Okay. So...friends?
[ Both chuckle ]
Devon: Friends, yeah.
Elena: I should get going.
Devon: Okay. Thank you again for dropping this off. I appreciate it.
Elena: Yeah. No problem.
[ Cellphone chimes ]
Devon: Uh-oh. I just got an alert saying the weather's getting even worse out there. You should probably hang out here for a bit till it eases up.
Find your rhythm.
Elena: So tell me, when does moses move in?
Devon: Moses moves in pretty soon, I think. He's, uh... he's got some -- some more school stuff to get together so he can transfer his credits, but everything's on schedule.
Elena: I bet he is so excited.
Devon: Yeah. As excited as a teenage boy will let himself be without seeming uncool, I'm sure.
Elena: You got your hands full.
Devon: [ Chuckles ] I'm probably gonna end up repeating a lot of the things that neil told me when I was growing up. But, no, moses is a good kid, though. I think he's mostly excited about being mentored by nate.
Elena: Oh, I don't know about that. I'm sure living with his big brother is pretty cool, too.
Devon: Hmm.
Elena: Moses is lucky to have both of you. You're both strong and caring men.
Devon: Yeah. Hey, uh... can I ask you a question?
Elena: Of course.
Devon: Was there more behind what happened that night at the clinic between you and nate than just coming down from saving jared's life? Did you have feelings for him before?
Elena: Um...
[ Chuckles ] I don't know how to answer that.
Devon: I just want you to be honest. I know we moved on. I do. I've -- it's just -- it's something that's bothered me ever since I found out about what happened. And, you know, I just... I'd like to know the truth about how long things had been building between the two of you.
Nick: Wow, that is a pretty big ask. Even for someone like adam.
Sharon: That's why I haven't made any decisions yet.
Nick: I mean, after the year you've had, why would you want more drama? Especially with faith struggling.
Sharon: Well, faith comes first, of course. How was she when you picked her up?
Nick: She's pretty distant. She didn't have much to say to me or my mom.
Sharon: She was quiet before school, too. Nick, I really don't like these changes we're seeing in our sweet, bubbly little girl.
Nick: Well, I do think it's common for kids that age to go through mood swings. I mean, noah did. Summer certainly did.
Sharon: Still, I'll feel a lot more comfortable once faith has spoken to a therapist.
Nick: Well, therapy's not gonna fix everything.
Sharon: I mean, it's a start. I've already put together a list of potential psychologists.
Nick: Well, I don't think this is something we should rush.
Sharon: I thought we agreed that faith would see a therapist. Have you changed your mind now?
Sally: Well, thank you both for being so understanding. You won't regret it.
Kyle: Well, let's hope not.
Summer: Well, I'm sure that we all have lots of work to do.
Sally: And I mean it, if you need help with anything at all at jcv, you can come to me.
[ Cellphone vibrates ] That's lauren. So I guess I will see you guys later. Okay.
Summer: Is she gone?
Kyle: Yes.
Summer: No, I mean, like, gone-gone... like, no hiding behind a planter in the hallway gone.
Kyle: [ Sighs ]
[ Door closes ] So, how much of sally's apology do you buy?
Summer: Ah. Well, only the part about her being mad that she wasn't handed jcv. Everything else was bull.
Kyle: Mm-hmm. I thought you handled it perfectly, though.
Summer: Thank you. And thank you for backing me. At least now I won't have to be constantly looking over my shoulder. And now that sally knows I have the goods on her, I got her trapped like the rat that she is, which is exactly where i want her.
Kyle: Interesting thing about rats. When they're cornered, they'll lash out at you.
Summer: What are you trying to say?
Kyle: Just keep in mind we might have just made sally even more of a threat. (Coughing)
"The young and the restless"
will continue.
Sally: Whew!
Lauren: Oh, I'm so sorry for bringing you out in this weather.
Sally: No, don't worry about it. It's actually kind of fun for me.
Lauren: Really? An ice storm is fun for you?
Sally: Well, we don't really get winter in L.A., So... it's just sunshine all year round.
Lauren: [ Laughs ]
Sally: And, uh, yeah, this is kind of a nice change.
Lauren: Ah. Well, get back to me in a couple of years and let me know if it's still fun.
Sally: Well, if that means that I will be sticking around for a while, then I look forward to it.
Lauren: Oh, I think you are definitely gonna be sticking around for a while. You know, I ran your influencer marketing pitch by a colleague, and he agreed it was inspired.
Sally: Well, I'm just very grateful for the opportunity.
Lauren: So now that I know what you can do, I have another project for you.
Sally: Another project?
Lauren: Is that a problem?
Sally: No, it's just, um, that summer told me about her trip to L.A. And her meeting with bill and wyatt spencer from spencer publications.
Lauren: Yeah, she spoke to them about a promotional partnership.
Sally: And is that the project that you want me to work on?
Lauren: As a matter of fact, it is.
Sally: Okay, um, then I'm sorry, lauren. I really don't know if I'm the best person for the job.
Gloria: Have you redone the decor, jack?
Jack: Nope.
Gloria: Huh. Oh, that tapestry, that's new.
Jack: No, that's been here a long time.
Gloria: Really? Well, maybe you just reupholstered the furniture because something -- something feels...very different here.
Jack: Gloria?
Gloria: Yes, jack.
Jack: What are you up to?
Gloria: Admiring your living room.
Jack: No, you're stalling so you don't have to answer why you're here.
Gloria: Oh, come on, jack. Everybody always suspects gloria of ulterior motives.
[ Laughs ]
Jack: Because you usually have one.
Gloria: Oh, please, jack. What is so wrong with me just... reminiscing? It's not as if I have anything on my plate these days.
Jack: Well, see, here's the problem -- I do. I brought a lot of work home with me.
Gloria: Oh, yeah. Jabot. Mm. Good old jabot. I have very fond memories of working with you, jack. You must, too.
Jack: Yes, I have a few memories of my own.
Gloria: [ Laughs ] We made quite the team, didn't we? And I am very proud of everything I accomplished.
Jack: Does that include the tainted face cream?
Gloria: One mistake.
Jack: Well, there -- there were a few more.
Gloria: Oh, come on, jack. Old news. And...my last go-around at the company, I did prove my loyalty, did I not?
Jack: Until you unceremoniously disappeared on me.
Gloria: But I'm back. And if I were to return to jabot -- just if -- I would be even more loyal... no matter what position I was assigned.
Jack: When -- when did this conversation become a job interview?
Gloria: [ Chuckles ] Yes, yes, yes. Obviously you have been thinking about it. Oh, come on, jack. Wouldn't it be wonderful? The old team together again. And I have so many great ideas about the future of cosmetics.
Jack: Yeah, I'm sure you do, but you'll have to share them with someone else.
Gloria: Jack.
Jack: I will keep my eyes and ears open for any position that might require your, uh...special talents, but right now at jabot, there's nothing. I'm sorry.
Gloria: Well... nothing ventured, eh? Et cetera, et cetera.
[ Chuckles ]
[ Sighs ] Give it a little more thought, jack, before you erase the idea completely.
[ Sighs ] Come on. You know how much I have to offer.
[ Door opens ]
Elena: I don't know what difference it makes whether or not I had feelings for nate before that night.
Devon: Um... I don't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. I really don'T. It's just -- it's just something that I wanted to know for a long time. Um...I don't know. I think you at least owe it to me to answer the question. And friends are supposed to be honest with each other, right?
Elena: I should go.
[ Door closes ]
Nick: Look, I'm not anti-therapy. I just think that after faith's outburst at society, maybe we need to reconsider the timeline.
Sharon: Isn't that all the more reason for her to be in counseling?
Nick: What if we just give her some space, you know? Maybe she'll stop acting out.
Sharon: I'm not willing to take that risk. You know, therapy is not a form of punishment. It's a way for her to confidentially talk about her problems with someone who's objective. You know, faith's gonna see that once she gets started.
Nick: Alright, uh... why don't we compromise? You and I will meet with a therapist beforehand. If it's something we're feeling, then -- you know, then we'll move forward.
Sharon: Thank you.
Nick: And, obviously, I'll let you pick the therapist. This is your area of expertise.
Sharon: I really do think this is the right thing to do.
Nick: Well, just, uh, you know, keep me posted.
Sharon: I will.
Nick: Hey, mariah.
Mariah: Hey. It's getting pretty crazy. You better be careful out there.
Nick: Yeah, I will. See ya.
Mariah: What was that all about?
Sharon: Oh. I think this is where a more cynical mom would say, "whatever you do, don't ever have kids." Wait. Are you...thinking of getting pregnant?
Mariah: It's a possibility.
Lauren: So, why would you have a problem working with the spencers?
Sally: It's just a little... complicated.
Lauren: Okay. But seeing that fenmore's is doing business with the spencers, maybe we should uncomplicate it.
Sally: [ Scoffs ] Okay, look, I-it's not that i would have a problem with them because I would be professional, 100%. I just feel like wyatt spencer might have a problem with me.
Lauren: Why?
Sally: Do you remember how i said that I made some mistakes in L.A.? Well, wyatt was one of them.
Lauren: Ah. So you were involved.
Sally: Seriously involved. Yeah, and it didn't end well between us. And, look, I-I know that I did some things wrong. I admit that, but it was all for the right reasons and it was all out of love.
Lauren: But when you say "wrong," how wrong?
Sally: I really don't want to get into the details. I mean, it was bad enough when bill spencer blew up my building, but --
Lauren: W-wait a minute. What?!
Sally: Yeah. I was inside. I am very lucky to be alive.
Lauren: Oh, my god.
Sally: Yeah. But, look, I don't -- I don't want to pin all of our problems on that because, like I said, i made some mistakes and I deeply regret every single one of them. You know, it's just really hard not to be ashamed of all of the actions that you now regret. Especially when you're trying to start a new life in a new town.
Lauren: Well, I...I think that you need to be focusing on the future and not the past. And, you know, we will work out who does what on this project at a later date.
Sally: Thank you.
Gloria: Well! If it isn't my beautiful daughter-in-law.
Lauren: Well, hello, gloria.
Gloria: Hello, lauren!
Lauren: Wow.
Gloria: I've been in town for several days and we still haven't had a chance to sit down for one of our lovely little chats.
Lauren: Yes, I know. That's on me. I've been so busy. But I would like you to meet sally spectra.
Gloria: We've met.
Lauren: Oh.
Gloria: Jack introduced us.
Lauren: Ah.
Gloria: So are you at jabot or fenmore's?
Sally: I am on fenmore's payroll.
Lauren: Right. As you know, both companies are very closely connected. Which reminds me, that needs to be delivered to jack. Do you mind?
Sally: Not -- not at all.
Lauren: But it doesn't need to be right now. I don't want you trekking back to the office in this weather.
Gloria: Jack's already gone home. I stopped in to pay a condolence call about dina.
Lauren: [ Sighs ]
Gloria: I mean, he's still a very dear friend. And I'm very protective of jack.
Sally: Well, I will deliver it now.
Lauren: Are you sure?
Sally: Yeah, it's on my way home.
Lauren: Okay. See ya.
Sally: See you. Goodbye.
Lauren: And you -- you should get back to kevin's before it gets worse.
Gloria: Oh, don't think you're getting rid of me that easily. I meant it, lauren, when I said I really have missed spending time with you.
Lauren: [ Scoffs ] Well, that's very sweet of you to say.
Gloria: And I have the perfect solution for us to bond. Me coming on board at fenmore'S. Imagine it. The two of us side-by-side, sending this company into the stratosphere. Can't you just imagine that?
[ Knock on door ]
Kyle: Okay, it's official. Jabot is well on its way to conquering the world.
Summer: Oh. Well, I take it that your international video conference went well.
Kyle: Well, better than that. We're expanding into new markets all over the globe. Lots of fun, new places to travel.
Summer: Mm. Well, sadly, there will not be any traveling until I am finished with this marketing report. If I don't power through it soon, looks like we're gonna get trapped here.
[ Sighs ]
Mariah: So abby and chance have decided on a surrogate to carry their child.
Sharon: And they chose you?
Mariah: Go figure.
Sharon: And you want to do this for them?
Mariah: I haven't decided yet. I don't know. Maybe.
Sharon: Well, that would be an extremely generous thing to do.
Mariah: Don't call me generous yet. I haven't said yes.
Sharon: But obviously you're giving it serious consideration.
Mariah: It's a lot to wrap my head around.
Sharon: Have you spoken to tessa?
Mariah: Yeah, we talked about it. She's gonna take some time to think about it, just like I am.
Sharon: What about your new job?
Mariah: Well, I haven't said anything to kyle or jack yet, but I can't imagine it'd be very different than the millions of other pregnant women who go to work every day. And besides, abby is an abbott, so I'm sure they would be supportive in me being her surrogate.
Sharon: This is a huge commitment. It's a life-changing decision. I just want you to ask yourself one question -- how would you feel carrying a child that you will not raise? Think you're managing your moderate
Mariah: This wouldn't be my baby. It's abby's egg and chance's sperm. It's their baby. I would just be happy with the honorary title of wacky aunt mariah.
Sharon: That's easy to say now. But I have a little bit of experience with pregnancy, and i can tell you that it's not that simple. The bond that you have with the baby that you've been carrying for nine months is indescribable. You won't know it until you experience it, even if you have prepared yourself to walk away...
Mariah: So you think I should just say no?
Sharon: No, I'm not saying that at all. Just as you're making up your mind, make sure you take everything into account. Including your own heart.
Mariah: I hear you. I just... I honestly don't think it'll be a problem for me.
Sharon: Don't be so sure.
Gloria: Oh, my god, lauren, you know what I bring to the table. I'm tenacious.
Lauren: You certainly are that.
Gloria: Yes, well, so then you agree I would be a valued addition to the fenmore family.
Lauren: Oh.
[ Stammers ] You know, just not at this time. But I promise you I will keep my eyes and ears open all over town for the perfect position that best suits your...many talents.
Gloria: Did you and jack rehearse that?
Sally: A little while ago, i was telling lauren how excited i was to experience real weather. But this...
Jack: Welcome to wisconsin.
Sally: Yeah...thanks.
Jack: And next time you have to make a delivery, wait till it's above zero.
Sally: [ Sighs ] Yeah. I have a lot to learn. So, my first ice storm. It's kind of pretty.
Jack: Yeah, and pretty treacherous for driving and walking.
Sally: Do they always go from zero to 60 so fast?
Jack: It's not uncommon, and then you have to wait for it to go all the way back to zero.
Sally: And how long does that usually take?
Jack: Well, let's put this way -- maybe you should relax with your tea because I'm afraid you're gonna be here for a while.
Summer: [ Sighs ] And done. Let's go.
Kyle: Mnh-mnh. I just got another notification on my phone. The storm's getting worse. I don't think it's safe to drive.
Summer: I'm sorry. Oh, you should have gone home instead of waiting for me.
Kyle: You would've been stuck here all alone. Everyone else has cleared out.
Summer: Really, so it's just the two of us?
Kyle: Mm-hmm. Guess we'd better hunker down. Could be a long wait. At least we can get a lot done, work-wise.
Summer: Mm. Or otherwise...
Kyle: What exactly did you have in mind?
Summer: Well...we have the entire office building to ourselves. So I think the possibilities are endless.
Devon: Hey.
Elena: Hey. My car won't start. I'm not going anywhere.
