Rey: I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life with you.

Lola: We'll just find a place together with a lot of light and a quiet bedroom and a big kitchen.

Kyle: I don't care where we live... as long as we're together.

Adam: Can you tell me who she is?

Billy: My daughter. You killed her.

Adam: I remember. I remember all of it.

Nick: If we all have the same concerns about adam, what does that tell you?

Victor: It tells me that you all consider him an outsider, and I won't have it!

Paul: Did you see who shot you?

Adam: No. I didn'T. I know exactly who did it. But I have to handle it, okay? Which means I have to shut down the investigation. Find me a fall guy.

Victoria: You know, some people think that you were faking your amnesia.

Adam: Must be why billy hasn't sent a get-well card. Do you think I was faking?

Victoria: I don't care. It doesn't matter now, does it?

Adam: I've missed this.

Victoria: Mm. I wish I could say the same.

Adam: Mm. Then...why are you here?

Victoria: Because I want to know your agenda. You have your memory back. What do you want?

Billy: Sorry I didn't come last week. You're not gonna believe this... but victoria and I took the kids camping.

[ Chuckles ] Yeah, I know. Not exactly your stepmom's cup of tea. No showers, no hair dryers. She was more beautiful than i ever remember. Johnny -- johnny's just getting so big. And katie's obsessed with the ballet. She wears her tutu to sleep. I look at her sometimes and... she reminds me so much of you. Not a day goes by that I don't miss you...

[ Sighs ] ...Or feel the hole in my heart. You know, with adam being dead and gone... it was a little less painful. But he's back, dee. And all my rage came back with him.

[ Sighs ] Every second that he is in town is a slap in the face to your memory.

[ Crying ] And all I have is your memory.

Devon: Mm. Jett, I wasn't sure if we had gotten the acoustics right the night of the opening, but you sound incredible. You really do, man. I'm tempted to release that as a single the way it is.

Jett: Oh, wow.

Devon: Not joking.

Jett: [ Chuckles ] You know, society is a great venue, but I'm loving playing there live and feeding off the crowd, and you know something? I've had this, uh -- this feeling the last few days.

Devon: What you been feeling?

Jett: That I should get back on the road.

Devon: Really?

Jett: Yeah.

Devon: What changed your mind, man?

Jett: Well, I mean, the only way to know if a comeback is possible is the audience will tell me.

Devon: Hey, hey, 100%. I couldn't agree more with you. And you know what we could do? We could record the tour and release it as a live album to generate some buzz for a follow-up studio album.

Jett: I like that.

Devon: It would be great.

Jett: Yeah.

Elena: I can't leave you two alone for one minute without cutting something up.

Jett: Wait, wait. Hold on one minute.

Elena: We've been through this.

Sharon: Are you ready for this?

Sharon: Preteen girls are... a lot.

Rey: Aw, sharon, come on. I've dealt with hardened criminals.

Sharon: Tweens are harder.

Faith: Does that mean you're gonna drop me off to meet my friends?

Sharon: No. The three of us are going to the park.

Kyle: [ Sighing ] Okay. If we're gonna find a place we both like, we'll either have to raise our budget or sign a longer lease.

Lola: Ooh, a longer lease? I mean, what if we end up hating each other after six months?

Lola: Okay. Well, if we break up, we'll kind of fight it out "war of the roses" style until one of us moves out, but, yeah, I would win, 'cause I'm super stubborn and can be a little annoying.

Kyle: Mm-hmm. Oh, I know. Look [Sighs] We're both making good money. We could afford to raise our budget by, say, 1/3?

Lola: I want to be able to put some money into savings, too.

Kyle: What if I cover the difference?

Lola: Whoa! One word -- "purse."

Kyle: [ Sighs ]

Lola: How 'bout we go up $500?

Kyle: Deal.

Lola: Mm. Look. We worked through that like adults.

Kyle: We did.

[ Both chuckle ]

Lola: Ooh, no.

Kyle: Ugh.

Lola: Oh! Check this one out.

Victor: Victoria's not here, all right?

Billy: I know that. I came to talk to you... about adam.

Victor: Adam is family business, and you're not family.

Billy: See, but you've made adam my business... and everyone else's problem. Why'd you bring him back? With all the misery he's caused, why'd you bring him back?

Victor: Adam is my son, okay? Now, you managed to tolerate living in the same town all those years. You even forgave him at his trial.

Billy: Temporary moment of insanity.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Billy: Let me be clear. I'm never gonna forgive adam. I'm never gonna forget what he did to my daughter. She should be here now... playing with her friends... going to dances. Adam should be crawling around the back alleys of las vegas like the cockroach he is.

Victor: Adam is my son. You don't expect me to turn my back on him, now, do you?

Billy: Why not, victor? You've done it before. See, I'm convinced your only reason why you brought him back is because you feel guilty about what happened. For the first time in your life, you grew a conscience, and now we all have to live with it.

Adam: What do I want? World peace... a panini for lunch. So many answers to that question.

Victoria: You know what I'm talking about.

Adam: Do I want something you have and want to keep for yourself?

Victoria: I'm not threatened by you, adam.

Adam: Good... because I'm not your enemy.

Victoria: You know, it seems to me that you had a pretty good life in vegas before dad talked you into coming back here. Why did you agree to do it?

Adam: I wanted to find out who I was. And, honestly, I was ready to give up before I got shot.

Victoria: And then, suddenly, filled with every memory that you've had since birth.

Adam: Mm. It turns out I was a cute baby.

Victoria: And I'm sure that dad dangled shiny things in front of you. What did he promise you to get you to come back here?

Adam: I don't know dad's agenda, only mine. And it's not what you think.

Victoria: Well, then why don't you save us both a little time and tell me what that is?

Adam: I want to talk to you and nick...together.

Kyle: Tell me what your perfect place looks like.

Lola: A gourmet kitchen.

Kyle: Mm.

Lola: It's a top priority. I mean, that's why I loved staying with rey, 'cause he has such a great one. And there's plenty of space and it's also really nice that it's above crimson lights.

Kyle: Mm-hmm. Rey's place is great. Too bad it's occupied.

Lola: Oh. Hey, why don't you just move in with me and rey? I'm joking.

Kyle: [ Groans ]

Lola: [ Chuckles ] But that's exactly how I felt when you suggested I moved in to the abbott compound.

Kyle: Fair enough.

[ Chuckles softly ] New idea. Maybe we can move in with rey and then "war of the roses" him out of the apartment.

Lola: Mm. Do you really want to get on my brother's bad side again?

Kyle: Uh, no?

Lola: Mnh-mnh.

[ Both chuckle ]

Kyle: [ Sighs ]

Faith: [ Sighs softly ] She's watching us.

Rey: I know. So, what do you think? It's a good start. Did you buy a drone just to impress me?

Rey: Maybe. Want to give it a try?

Faith: Yeah.

Rey: Okay. So, the right stick is to go forward and backward, left and right.

Faith: I got it.

Rey: And the left stick is to --

Faith: I know.

Rey: How are you so good at this?

Faith: Video games.

Rey: You might want to look out for that tree. I-I think you're going a little too fast.

Faith: I'm not.

Rey: Tree. Tree. Tree!

Faith: [ Sighs ]

[ Sighs ] I had it.

Rey: I know.

Faith: That's kind of how i feel when my mom starts dating someone new -- like I'm waiting for her to hit a tree.

Rey: Oh. Yeah?

Faith: Yeah. She's too nice sometimes.

Rey: And it's up to you to protect her?

Faith: You're not the first cop she's dated.

Rey: I've heard.

Faith: Dylan was cool, but they got divorced.

Rey: Sorry about that.

Faith: [ Sighs ] Then she got back together with my dad last year, but that didn't work out, either, and now uncle adam's back, and she seems to be spending a lot of time with him.

Rey: Yeah, I think they're just friends.

Faith: From the way she talks about the two of them when they were together, that was bad, too.

Rey: I know it's hard to see your mom hurt, but she's really strong. She's got a big heart.

Sharon: How's it going over here?

Faith: He's saying all the right things.

Sharon: Faith!

Faith: I get it. He's gonna be around a lot more. So if you're waiting for me to say it's okay... it's okay. I'm fine. You might as well ask him to move in.

Elena: If jett strains his voice, he could lose it altogether. Don't you think we should be thinking about his career more long-term?

Jett: The idea to go back out on the road is mine, okay?

Elena: Singing night after night is going to take a toll. Don't you worry about jeopardizing all the work you've done?

Jett: Yes. But I wake up every day thinking about the next time I'm gonna be on stage. I mean, there was a time that i thought that would never happen again. But now I've got a taste of it. It's within re-- look, I need this.

Devon: Hang on to that thought, all right?

Elena: [ Sighs ]

Devon: Hey. I forgot we had a meeting today.

Michael: Mm. Is now a bad time?

Devon: No, it's not. Come on. How you doing?

Michael: Good, good.

Devon: Um, michael, this is jett slade.

Michael: Oh, my gosh! In the flesh!

Jett: [ Chuckles ]

Michael: I'm a big fan.

Jett: I appreciate that. Keep your eyes open, 'cause some good things are coming down the line.

Michael: All right.

Devon: And this is his niece, elena.

Michael: Pleasure.

Elena: Hey. Nice to meet you. Do you want us to give you some privacy?

Devon: Uh, if you don't mind, yeah. We're not gonna be very long.

Elena: Yeah. Gonna go to the coffee shop and talk some sense into my uncle. Come on, old man.

Devon: Hey, stay strong, okay?

Elena: I heard that.

Devon: [ Chuckles ] See you.

[ Sighs ] I apologize, michael, for forgetting about our meeting.

Michael: Well, the subconscious mind can be very powerful, and this is a difficult situation to navigate. I'm sorry to be the one that forces the issue, but you can't put this off any longer. You need to deal with neil's will.

Devon: Yeah.

Sharon: I think you owe rey an apology.

Faith: For what?! I was just cutting to the chase. You two are together. You stay at his place. He stays here. Moving in is the next step, right? I'm telling you I'm okay with it.

Sharon: We haven't talked about moving in together.

Faith: Well, I'd just like to know where we're gonna be living, 'cause that affects me, too.

Sharon: Maybe we should talk about this later.

Faith: Yeah. Thanks for letting me fly your drone.

Rey: Any time.

Victor: Now that you have gotten that off your chest... I've got to get back to work, okay?

Billy: You got nothing else to say, right? 'Cause you know bringing adam back was a mistake.

Victor: Let me ask you something, billy boy. If you had had a chance to be reunited with delia, wouldn't you jump at that chance?

Billy: Don't do that. Don't ever compare adam and delia. Have you thought for one second what this does to your daughter? No, you haven't, because you don't care, because adam has always been your favorite.

Victor: I love all my children equally.

Billy: Give me a break, victor. You keep saying that. Maybe you'll believe it. Adam brings destruction everywhere he goes. Everyone he touches ended up hurt... broken, or dead. And my daughter is dead.

Victor: And my son is alive.

Billy: Exactly. You selfish bastard.

Victoria: If you want to talk to nick and me together, I'll call him right now.

Adam: That'd be great.

Victoria: I'll have him come over right away.

Adam: Except...I almost died. I'm still recovering. And the person who did it is still out there, so I'd like to make sure I'm safe and regain a little strength if it's all the same to you.

Victoria: Yeah. Of course. Your health comes first.

Adam: Thanks for understanding.

Victoria: Yeah. Get some rest. I'm anxious to hear these plans of yours.

Rey: Hey. Is she okay?

Sharon: Yeah. She's doing her homework. I'm sorry about that. I always encourage faith to express herself, but sometimes that's the way it comes out.

Rey: Well, it's better than her keeping her feelings in.

Sharon: Obviously, she's protective of me, but sometimes I feel guilty that she's had to go through a lot of the same heartbreak that I've had when that's not her burden to carry. And then other times... I see her as a 12-year-old with a single mom and we're going through the same growing pains and awkwardness as everyone else.

Rey: I hope I'm not causing a problem between you two.

Sharon: No, not at all. You're not. Everything is gonna be fine. I usually know when she's just blustering or when it's something serious. I think she really likes you a lot more than she's willing to admit. She just needs some time to get used to our situtation.

Rey: Yeah, yeah. That's understandable.

Sharon: And all that talk about moving in -- I don't know where that came from.

Rey: I didn't mind it. I probably would have asked you to move in already, but you do have the bigger flat screen and that double-door fridge.

Sharon: Oh. So, the apartment you rent from me is not up to snuff -- is that it?

Rey: It can feel a little small when you're sharing a bathroom with your sister.

Sharon: So, are you saying... that you would move in,,, if I ever asked?

Rey: I think faith's the one to ask.

Michael: So, how about a day next weekend?

Devon: I can't do next weekend. I got people flying on from out of town for meetings.

Michael: Mm-hmm. How 'bout the following friday?

Devon: Uh...maybe. I might be able to do it. I'm gonna have to get back to you about it.

Michael: Devon, I've done a lot of will readings, and, in my experience, it's best to get it over with, uh... because, yes, they are emotionally fraught, but they also provide closure.

Devon: Yeah, michael. I'm sure they do, man, but I-i don't know if I'm gonna close the book on my dad... 'cause I feel like I just went through this with hilary.

Michael: Yeah, I know. It must seem like a 1-2 punch, but if you can... take the impact of the pain and deal with it, you can move on.

Devon: Mm. You're not the first person to tell me that, but, as I'm sure you know, it's a lot easier said than done.

Michael: Yeah. Yeah. Look, um... you know I'm here for you as your friend, right -- not just your lawyer?

Devon: Yeah. Of course I do. And I appreciate you for that.

Michael: And everyone who loves you just... wants to see you get through this and, you know, in the not-too-distant future, be happy and maybe -- maybe even... find someone to share your life with.

Devon: Mm. You sound like everybody else now.

Michael: No, it's because you deserve it. And I'm sorry, and it's unfortunate that hilary and neil are gone. But you have a whole lot of life left to live.

Ana: You want to go on tour, and you're worried about his health.

Jett: And I'm a grown man.

Elena: And I know that. Look, I'm not trying to be a downer here. Nobody's happier to see how far you've come than me. It's just... I don't want to see you have a setback.

Jett: I understand that, and I don't want that, either. But what this whole experience has taught me, especially with neil's passing, is that you don't know how much time you have left. And whatever time I have left, i want to spend it doing at least one thing I love. And that's singing.

Ana: How dangerous would it be for him to go on tour medically?

Elena: It's a matter of him being in tune with his body -- knowing when he's pushing himself too far.

Ana: So, as long as he's careful, he should be able to manage the situation?

Elena: If he's honest with himself and if he tells me the truth about what's going on.

Jett: You know, I'm sitting right here, ladies, and, as i said, I'm a grown man.

Elena: Sometimes. But I guess you're right. Who am I to stand in your way if this is what you want?

Jett: [ Chuckles softly ]

Elena: Besides, I'll be there to keep an eye on you, and it will be nice to see you out there again. Of course, the tour bus and the fast food are gonna take some getting used to. And leaving genoa city.

Jett: You know what? I don't think you need to come.

Elena: What? No, of course I do. What if something happens to you and I'm not there?

Jett: No, no. Nothing's gonna happen 'cause I won't let it. Listen... my condition is not life-threatening. Baby, I know what you went through with your mother, and i would never do that to you. So...if things get dicey

[Clicks tongue] I'll stop.

Elena: I don't know.

Jett: I do. You found a home here. And you started to build a new life. I think you should stay... and see where it takes you.

Victor: I don't mean to disturb you. I can come back if you would like.

Adam: No. I'm glad you're here. Come in.

Victor: I thought it was time to talk about your futre plans.

Adam: My only plans are to sleep some more... and then go back to the tack house.

Victor: You don't think we should talk about things beyond that?

Adam: Mnh. I think I should take things slow.

Victor: The only problem with that, my boy, is that you are my son. That means you are driven... impatient, once you're off these pain meds. I think you're ready to take life back in your hands.

Adam: I don't know what you mean by that exactly... but I think it's time you tell me.

Faith: Did I drive him away?

Sharon: No. But...you pushed the envelope a little, wouldn't you say?

Faith: Maybe a little.

Sharon: Is it because you don't like rey?

Faith: No. I do like him.

Sharon: I thought so. You know... a new relationship... is always risky... whether it's a new friend or a boyfriend. There's always the chance that it's not gonna turn out the way you hoped. But if you don't put yourself out there because you're scared of getting hurt, then... you're gonna miss out on so much love and happiness.

Faith: I don't want you to miss out on anything.

Sharon: And I don't want to dismiss your feelings. You're my daughter, and you have a say in this.

Faith: [ Sighs ] It does seem like he makes you happy. I haven't really seen you this way since dad.

Sharon: He does. And he wants you to be happy, too. He tried really hard today.

Faith: [ Chuckles softly ] Yeah, and I almost wrecked his drone.

Sharon: You know, I'm not asking you to hide your feelings. I want you to talk it out with me always. But...I am asking you to keep an open mind. And I'm wondering if you think it's possible that maybe the three of us could be happy together.

Faith: It's possible.

Sharon: [ Chuckles softly ] Come here. I love you.

Faith: I love you, too.

Rey: Hey.

Lola: Hey, you! How'd it go with faith?

Rey: She's tougher than most drug cartels. I must have forgotten. Were we that difficult at her age?

Lola: Yes.

Kyle: [ Chuckles ]

Rey: What are you up to? Oh, apartment hunting? So, top chef is too good to live with her big brother now? Is that it?

Lola: You know, rey, it will be a great day when I don't have to share a bathroom with you.

Rey: Me?

Lola: You know, he has more gels and creams than I do.

Rey: That is not true. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you...two moving in together?

Kyle: Uh...maybe not. We haven't been able to find a place yet because the only place we've liked so far is yours.

Rey: Are you even divorced yet?

Lola: [ Sighs ]

Devon: Hey, you.

Elena: Hey. Is it okay to come in?

Devon: Yeah. For sure. For sure. Michael took off not too long ago. Where's jett?

Elena: Um, he's still at the coffee shop. He wanted to stay and chat with ana. Is everything okay? It seemed kind of serious.

Devon: Yeah. Yeah, it's fine. It was just, uh... michael was here about the reading of my dad's will. I've been putting it off for a little while.

Elena: You okay?

Devon: Yeah, I'm good. I completely forgot that I had a meeting today. But michael was cool about it. He's a good friend. Did you get a chance to talk to jett about going on tour some more?

Elena: Yeah. Ana joined us. We went over all the pros and cons.

Devon: Okay. I can give you some more things to put in the "pro" column if you like.

Elena: I know you want this to happen.

Devon: Well, I want it to happen because jett wants it to happen for himself. But I completely understand why you're concerned about his health.

Elena: So... another one of the cons would be... me leaving genoa city. But... jett thinks it might be better if I stay.

Devon: I don't think it's even a question. I think it would be much better if you stayed.

Victoria: Adam admitted that he has some sort of plan, but he wouldn't tell me what it was.

Billy: [ Clears throat ] He's already playing his greatest hits, isn't he?

Victoria: He said he wanted to wait until he was feeling better, and then he's gonna talk to nick and me about it.

Billy: His capacity for mid games while lying in a hospital bed -- you almost have to respect it.

Victoria: You know, from the moment I walked in to that room, it was different from the first time I saw him. Our old dynamic was back, and all of our history was in that room with us.

Billy: So I hope you're seeing him for who he isn'T.

Victoria: I don't know if he was faking the amnesia, but there was nothing fake about him being shot. He looked really frail.

Billy: He's using it to toy with you.

Victoria: You're probably right. But I just don't want to think the worst of my brother because --

Billy: 'Cause he's earned it. He has spent a lifetime being a horrible person. If you had to guess, what do you think he's plotting?

Victoria: I have no idea.

Adam: Victoria wanted to know what my plans are... and yours, too. Well, my plans don't -- don't concern victoria right now.

Adam: Why is everything such a big secret? Are you playing us against each other again? I mean, it wouldn't be the first time. Or is there something else going on?

Victor: I think you were right. You know, I should let you rest and concentrate on your recovery.

Elena: Talking about leaving genoa city made me realize how much I wanted to stay.

Devon: Yeah, I don't know what I would have done if you would have gone on tour with jett. I think he would have found himself a new roadie.

Elena: In a strange way... it's like it's giving me this chance to stop living in the past and begin thinking about the future.

Devon: Hmm. I know exactly what you mean, 'cause I feel the same way.

[ Cellphone rings ] It's a follow-up call about the will.

Elena: You should take that. I guess we'll have all the time in the world now.

Devon: Hey, michael. Hey, man. You know what? Let's schedule the reading for as soon as possible, and I'll just make my schedule work.

Kyle: I filed for divorce. Things are in motion. Summer won't be an issue. I love your sister, and we're happy together.

Rey: Yeah, for now, until you change your mind again.

Kyle: My feelings never changed about lola.

Lola: Rey...don't do this.

Rey: I'm just looking out for you, kiddo.

Lola: And I love that you're protective of me -- sometimes. Right now is just not one of those times.

Rey: You two are moving really fast.

Lola: It may seem fast to you, but it's not for us. And you just need to respect my choices like I respect yours.

Rey: You sure this is really what you both want?

Kyle: Yeah.

Lola: I've never wanted anything more. Kyle and I have been through so many ups and downs, and things are starting to finally settle. We know that we're right for each other. So can you just please be happy for us?

Rey: I'm not gonna buy you a housewarming plant.

Kyle: [ Chuckles ]

[ Cellphone rings ]

Kyle: Hi. Right now? We're on our way. It's that loft downtown.

Lola: The one with the fireplace?

Kyle: Mm-hmm.

Lola: Mm. Got to seize the moment.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Sharon: Hey, yo.

Rey: Hey.

Sharon: Um, are you decompressing? Because I know that faith put you through the wringer today. You really rose to the occasion.

Rey: She's a good kid. And I know today was hit or miss, but I'm gonna keep trying.

Sharon: We had another talk, and I was right. She really does like you.

Rey: I'm glad to hear that, because I am determined to win her over. At some point, the rosales charm wears people down.

Sharon: It worked on me. And besides faith being protective, I think that she's scared of change, as we all are.

Rey: I get that. But when the moment presents itself... you got to seize it.

Sharon: I agree.

Rey: Which is kind of why I'm calling.

Sharon: Okay.

Rey: When we were joking... not joking earlier about me moving in...

Sharon: I don't think I was joking.

Rey: Okay. Well... just to be clear, I'm not joking now. So, you want to do it?

Sharon: Yes. I do. I really do.

Rey: Okay. Well, there's probably a bunch of things we're not taking into consideration, but faith is the most important one. But if you think she's gonna be okay with it, then...

Sharon: She's going to have some expectations for you to live up to and probably some more tests for you to pass, but she'll be fine. And I think this will be good for all of us.

Rey: And I want to pass every test she throws at me because i want to be the guy you and she deserve.

Sharon: You always have the right words to say. The only problem I can see with you moving in is I'll be losing a tenant.

Rey: You know, I think i might have a solution for that, too.

Billy: Whatever adam is scheming, it has something to do with newman. And you have worked too hard to get to the position that you are in to let that little weasel threaten it.

Victoria: I agree.

Billy: So we need to stop him in his tracks before he gets any momentum.

Victoria: Listen. I'm glad my brother's alive. And for me to go to war with him too soon, while he's still in the hospital, it just feels a little cold and calculating.

Billy: It's the newman way, vick.

Victoria: And I have to protect myself.

Billy: You're damn right you do. Adam can go be healthy somewhere else. We just need to figure out how to make that happen.

Victor: When do you think adam will be released?

Nate: Tomorrow at the earliest.

Victor: Hmm. The sooner, the better. There may not be... a lot of time.

Nate: I understand.

Victor: Any update on the situation?

Nate: I'm expecting the latest results to come in soon.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

[ Cellphone chimes ] 10:30 P.M.
