Nikki: I can understand why victor turned to you. I mean, you helped bring adam back to town years ago when he went missing. What I don't understand is why you would want to get involved in that a second time.

Phyllis: How much you want to bet that my lovely daughter has used the same password she's used on every site for years? "Mrears."

Summer: I just got off the phone with kyle's friend in new york.

Jack: The agent?

Summer: Yeah, he is on his way here right now with one of his clients, and kyle and i really need to meet them. Don't worry, kyle and I will work around the clock if we have to.

Lola: You said mia would go to jail for an accident.

Arturo: [ Sighs ]

Lola: What accident?

Arturo: I was mad!

Lola: Mia was the one who attacked that night.

Rey: All right, everyone, make room! Big winner coming through.

Sharon: All I did was toss a ball.

Rey: But you did it with such amazing style.

Sharon: You weren't so bad yourself.

Rey: Not winning anything -- it took effort to lose as badly as I did.

Sharon: No, I mean trying to keep my mind off of adam.

Sharon: Well enough.

Rey: "Well enough?" Oh, I don't like that. I'm gonna have to keep trying.

Sharon: [ Chuckles ] Voicemail.

Rey: Lola.

Sharon: What's wrong?

Rey: Uh, she didn't say, but it's -- it's something.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Lola: Rey, thank god.

Rey: What's wrong?

Lola: It's mia.

Rey: The baby?

Lola: No. Mia was the one who attacked me, rey. She thought that I was abby. She just left me there like that.

Rey: Oh, lola, I'm -- I'm so sorry.

Lola: And, even worse, arturo knew, and he covered for her, but now I know, and abby does, too. Can you please come home? I know that you're working, and I wouldn't ask but this... I mean, it's insane.

Rey: I hate leaving you like this.

Sharon: You have to go. Lola found out that it was mia who hurt her and that others knew?

Sharon: I need to see adam. Maybe he knows that I haven't been alone, and that's why he didn't show up at the park.

Summer: So you made us haul it back from new york because you couldn't stand to be away from lola.

Summer: Yeah, because she has an actual work ethic.

Summer: Okay, actually, I'm glad that you're free.

Summer: Okay, some people believe in forward motion when it comes to business, and since jack told us that we need to focus on lining up influencers, I'm sure that you're in.

Summer: [ Sighs ] Yeah. Kyle and I work really well together. It's like a rhythm. And I truly think that jabot collective is gonna be a huge hit.

Summer: You hacked into jabot's system and stole files?

Phyllis: No, I phished for your password and didn't find anything.

Summer: Okay, well, that is still not okay.

Phyllis: Look, I wanted to see some concept boards for the clothing line so I could conveniently tailor my selections. You said it yourself, okay? It's the one thing that jabot collective is missing. I just need a little intel so i could be guided into the right direction.

Summer: That's still not okay, mom.

Phyllis: Okay, I know. I'm sorry, I overstepped.

Summer: Yeah. You think? I mean, you exploited mrears.

Phyllis: I should have come to you directly, which I'm doing right now. Please. Help me.

Sharon: Victor. Come in.

Victor: Have you heard from adam?

Sharon: I just left him another voicemail.

Victor: Do you think it could be that he's avoiding you? I mean, he might have seen something about you on the internet or been reminded of you during one of his therapy sessions. The two of you had quite a history, you know.

Sharon: I don't think that I'm the issue here, victor. It might be you.

Mia: It was an accident! I never meant to hurt her! No!

Paul: Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. Do you understand what I'm telling you?

Mia: [ Gasps ]

[ Grunts ]

Sharon: Adam knows you're back in town. He also knows you're deeply invested in getting him his memory back, and that's a very heavy weight for someone to carry when they feel that they don't have control over anything.

Victor: But he willingly went to the doctor.

Sharon: Maybe, or maybe he went because you told him to do so.

Victor: You didn't see him, sharon. I saw him. He didn't know who he was or where he was from.

Sharon: And now there's this looming figure stalking him.

Victor: I'm his father. I'm not stalking him.

Sharon: Okay, that was a bad choice of words. What I'm saying is adam might feel anxious, and, add to that, he might know that nikki was in town, and rey, and that's more confusion and more pressure.

Victor: Either way, nikki should have never hired rey,& okay?

Sharon: It seems that adam is willing to see me. I think that the reason he backed out is because he knew i wasn't alone, but now...

Victor: You think I should leave?

Sharon: No, I just think that you should give him some space.

Victor: You know...

[ Sighs ] He's my boy. We've had a very, very difficult relationship as father and son. But he's my boy. And when I look into his eyes and when I spoke to him, i realized that he didn't recognize me at all, didn't know who the hell I was. I can't leave him alone now.

Sharon: I understand that you love him. When he died -- when we thought that he was dead, who else cared in the way that we did besides chelsea? No one. So I understand, but please, just try to take a step back and let me try to get through to adam alone.

Victor: [ Sighs ]

Phyllis: Look, I know that this puts you in a delicate position.

Summer: Yeah, you think?

Phyllis: But if I knew what jabot had in the pipeline, that would put me ahead of the curve.

Summer: So you're asking me to break every rule that there is.

Phyllis: Look, not if it makes you feel like you are at risk.

Summer: Oh, well, finally.

Phyllis: But if you need some credible deniability, you could just keep open your tablet to some designs, and I could take care of the rest.

Summer: Mom, kyle dumped me. Jack basically invited me to leave jabot, and now you want me to compromise myself and prove that I have no integrity whatsoever. They already think that --

Summer: [ Sighs ] They did not have to welcome me to jabot in the first place, but they did, and they certainly didn't have to let me stay. But here I am. And now you want me to blow it all.

Phyllis: I just want your help. That's all. Come on, you know -- do you think I'm proud, coming to my kind like this? I talked a good game, you know, leading jabot to success and to new frontiers. I just need the slightest bit of information, just anything to get a leg up.

Summer: Okay, you know what, if you have start-up costs, then you can hire a consultant.

Phyllis: Or someone I know and love could cut me a break.

Summer: [ Sighs ]

Rey: I already knew. I've known about it for a while now.

Rey: I found out a few days after you went into the hospital.

Rey: I'm sorry. I hated it, but when i confronted mia, she told me about the baby.

Abby: [ Scoffs ] Of course that's when she told you about the baby, her human shield.

Lola: And that's why you didn't turn her in?

Rey: I told paul there wasn't enough evidence.

Abby: Except that was a lie.

Rey: I tried to let the case go cold, but then paul fired me. But then he asked me to look back into it on my own time. That's -- that's when I got arturo involved.

Rey: For mia's alibi. I told paul that arturo was with mia that night.

Abby: Except he was with me.

Rey: Yeah, but nobody else knows that, at least not officially.

Abby: But the chief bought it. Yeah, because everyone knows that you're a cheating slime. Yeah, this just keeps getting better and better.

[ Footsteps receding ]

Paul: Well, first of all, i want you to know that we haven't given up on finding lola's attacker.

Paul: We'll be working old leads and information.

Mia: And you're doing this yourself? I thought rey was working on the case.

Paul: Well, it seems as though rey has other priorities. So I will taking it from here.

Lola: You all knew. Everyone knew what mia did to me.

Rey: Which is why I didn't want to rope you into a cover-up.
