Jack: Ashley's just announced the launch of a lifestyle line identical to the one we're planning.

Billy: How is that even possible?

Victoria: Dad has been seen hitting high-stakes poker games around vegas.

Billy: Are you kidding me? After all the crap he gave me about gambling, your dad --

Victoria: No, he's not playing. He's meeting someone at the games.

Phyllis: Little two-day getaway. You know, I thought maybe you'd need a little bit more downtime to recover from the surgery. Doesn't that sound amazing, like heaven? In the next 48 hours, I want to know every move kyle and lola make.

[ Camera shutter clicking ]

Lola: I want to find out what we can be together.

Kyle: What are you saying?

Lola: That we should go get a room.

Phyllis: Hold up. Hold up! Why don't you tell me why you changed your mind about going to the spa?

Summer: Because now is just not a good time to go away.

Phyllis: And you realized this between genoa city and twin lakes?

Summer: [ Sighs ] I was not taking kyle's feelings into account. We just got married. And it was selfish of me to run off like that.

Phyllis: Okay, we're going away for a few days. And kyle said he was fine with it.

Summer: Leaving him here alone was a mistake, mom.

Phyllis: You know, it almost sounds like you're afraid to leave kyle by himself. Tell me that's not true.

[ Camera shutter clicking ]

Kyle: [ Chuckles ] I-I don't think i heard you right.

Lola: You did.

Kyle: You...want to get a room?

Lola: Yes.

Kyle: For us to...

Lola: Yeah.

Kyle: Uh...

Lola: Oh, please don't leave me hanging here.

Kyle: [ Stammers ] That would be a huge step.

[ Snorts softly ] I-it would change everything.

Lola: I know. But in a good way.

Kyle: But you were just listing all the reasons you and I couldn't be together. I know. But despite all of the obstacles... and the ways that we're different and this horrible timing... this thing between us, it's happening right now. And we can't deny that.

Kyle: [ Stammers ] It feels so good to tell you how I feel. After all that time in the hospital when I couldn'T...

Lola: Me too. And I can't turn my back on this anymore. I-I just want to make sure we're not getting caught up in the moment. Are you sure this is what you want?

Lola: I've never been more sure of anything. But if you think our moment has passed, um, and... we can just leave right here, right now. Move on with our lives and never mention it again.

Victoria: Are you okay?

Billy: Yeah. No. This is -- this is good.

Victoria: I just -- I thought we were gonna take things slow.

Billy: [ Sighs ] You're right. I know. We're taking it slow.

Victoria: It's okay.

Billy: I'm sorry.

Victoria: No, it's okay. I -- don't be sorry. I just... I want to get it right, that's all.

[ Cellphone chimes ] Uh... I better get that. It might be my father.

Billy: Your father, he has uncanny timing. It's like an alert goes off every time I'm within 100 feet of you.

[ Sighs ] What is it?

Victoria: Dad just told me he's in new zealand closing the hancock deal.

Billy: Okay.

Victoria: He's lying.

Billy: Even if you're right, your dad could be in vegas, you know, there could be a million reasons why --

Victoria: A million different reasons why he's floating around these high-stakes poker games with some mystery high roller who calls himself spider? He's lying, billy. Why would he do that?

Billy: Because it's your dad, and deception is what he does. It's in his dna.

Victoria: I think we should go to some other hotels and talk to some pit bosses.

Billy: Just calm down here a second, all right? I have gone along with this because it felt like it was important to you. I even sat a few feet away from a poker table while a high-stakes game was going on and I didn't play a hand.

Victoria: Ah, see? I knew it! I knew it would trigger you. I told you you didn't have to stick around, billy.

Billy: No, it's fine. And of course I'm gonna stick around, because you were determined, and I'm gonna be here for you. But we are done chasing your dad around, okay? It's just another way for you to escape.

Victoria: That's not what this is.

Billy: Come on, vick. You came to vegas and gave yourself a fake name. You pretended to be somebody else for kicks. And I understand that. But at a certain point, the adventure has to end, all right? And I think that time is now.

Victoria: Are you saying that we should go home?

Billy: Yes, I am.

[ Cellphone chimes ]

Victoria: Oh, my god. What are you up to, dad?

Victoria: Doesn't that guy look familiar to you?

Billy: I can't tell. It's so blurry. I can't see his face.

Victoria: Yeah, but that is definitely my dad.

Billy: Well, it wouldn't be the first time he's hanging around with a shady character, would it?

Victoria: I need to find out what's going on.

Billy: [ Sighs ] Why? Why? Why? Okay, I get it. It's -- it's a fun distraction, running around vegas. It feels like a rush. But when the buzz wears off, it always feels worse afterwards. Trust me.

Victoria: But this is about my father.

Billy: No, no. It's also about you avoiding the life that's at home. This place is empty, okay, and it's very, very shallow. And you know what's healing? Going home to the people that love you, being around our kids, basking in the comfort of family.

Victoria: Are you saying our vacation is over?

Billy: Yes. Please, let's get the hell out of here.

Victoria: [ Sighs ] Okay. Let's go home.

Billy: Thank you! I'll book flights.

Jack: I found out how ashley discovered all of jabot's plans.

Traci: Oh, my god. Who told her?

Jack: Me. Our beloved sister put a bug in the lovely gift basket she sent out way. She heard every word I said about my plans to revolutionize jabot. It's in here right now so that you and I can talk freely, and so that she doesn't know that i found out.

Traci: Oh, my god. What are you gonna do now? No, no! Forget I asked that question. Never mind. I don't want to hear one more word about this. I am not gonna help you get back at our sister and drive this family further apart.

Jack: Wait, you're gonna blame me? Ashley is the one who planted a bug in our family home. Whop undercut our strategy to rebuild the family company. That after she nearly destroyed dad's company by walking away with its most important patents.

Traci: Yes, but daddy and mother wanted her to have those patents. And you're the one that forced her to walk away because you couldn't stand to see her as C.E.O.

Jack: That's not fair. I offered her plenty of compromises along the way.

Traci: No. There is more than one choice here. Either you can continue to escalate this feud or you can rise above it and make peace with our sister. And I very much hope that you will choose to do the right thing.

Summer: Oh. Okay. Um... did he say when he'd be back?

Jack: No, afraid not.

Summer: Guess I'll just see him later.

Jack: Okay.

Jack: I am thrilled. I'm sure kyle will be, too.

Summer: Heh.

Kyle: I never thought we'd be here like this again.

Lola: Me neither. But...here we are.

Kyle: [ Chuckles ]

Lola: I know what I'm suggesting may be wrong, but... it doesn't feel wrong.

Kyle: No. It feels right. And I want it. More than anything. It's just... a lot has happened. And --

Lola: Oh, god. I'm putting you in an impossible position.

Kyle: No, y-you're not. What was impossible was watching you in that hospital bed, knowing...

[ Sighs ] I may lose you. Realizing all the mistakes I made. Fearing I might not ever get a chance to make it up to you. What would be impossible now is having you here, right in front of me, after everything we've been through, and not whisk you upstairs this second.

Lola: Um... so, is that a yes?

[ Camera shutter clicking ]

Nick: Yeah, it's nick newman. Yeah, I know it's late here, but it's early in hong kong, and we don't sleep at dark horse.

Summer: I see you, ted. Don't run away from me. You're just gonna make this harder on yourself.

Ted: I'm sorry about what happened to your mother. It wasn't fair. I thought she was a great boss. I probably should have walked out with her in solidarity, but I'm not that guy. Who takes a heroic stand. And I just crawl out of the rubble and carry on. Because [Sighs] I'm a follower.

Summer: Okay. Uh... I was just wondering where kyle was.

Ted: Oh. Um... I haven't seen him. If you're missing your husband, maybe you should check the lost and found.

Summer: [ Chuckles ] Uh, yeah, no. Uh, I didn't lose my husband. I just don't know where he is at the moment. So, thank you.

Ted: Mm-hmm.

Lola: Nice room.

Kyle: Yep. [ Sighs ]

Lola: Is there a view?

Kyle: It's right here. Best view in gc.

Lola: Heh...

Kyle: I'm kidding.

[ Chuckles ] You all right?

Lola: I'm a little nervous.

Kyle: Mm-hmm. Me too. We'll just relax. Take it slow. Okay?

[ Sighs ] You're so beautiful.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Kyle: [ Laughs ]

Lola: [ Chuckles ] Should I see who it is?

Kyle: I don't see a lot of upside in that.

Lola: Oh, kyle...

Kyle: Could be one of your brothers.

Lola: I know, but if I don't check it, it's going to bug me the whole time. It's just a supplier. I don't have to answer it.

Kyle: We should mute our phones.

Lola: Yeah, good idea.

Kyle: I'll take it off.

Lola: Are we making a mistake here?

Kyle: [ Sighs ]

Lola: I mean, I gave you an ultimatum. We wouldn't be here if I hadn't pressed the issue.

Kyle: I'm here because I want to be. Because I meant everything I said to you. And nothing has been right without you in my life. This doesn't mean what it's supposed to mean. Because I love you.

Lola: [ Sighs ]

Kyle: There. It's just us.

Lola: I've missed you so much.

Kyle: [ Snorts softly ] I'm only thinking about you.

[ Inhales deeply ] It's always been you.

Lola: I love you.

Summer: [ Sighs ] Okay, um...

[ Clears throat ] Hey, lola. I was just passing by.& Is kyle in there? No. Um... hey, girl. Uh... have you by chance seen kyle?

[ Sighs ] Oh, my god.

[ Sighs ]

[ Sighs ] Okay.

Lola: [ Sighs ]

Kyle: You okay?

Lola: Absolutely. What's wrong?

Kyle: [ Sighs ] Nothing.

[ Sighs ] I can't do this.

Phyllis: Where are they?

Upstairs.

Phyllis: Are you sure?

Phyllis: [ Scoffs ] Such a liar. I suspected he was gonna pull something like this, but he didn't take much convincing, did he? To completely betray my daughter.

Sorry, ma'am.

Phyllis: All right. Do you have some evidence of their tryst for me? Oh, my god. Oh, my god. This is gonna crush her. I warned that son of a bitch not to hurt my little girl. But he's about to feel a world of hurt right now.

Johnny: Mommy!

Victoria: Oh!

Katie: You're home!

Victoria: Hi, babies! Oh, my gosh! I'm so happy to see you. Oh! And thank you so much for staying up for me -- even though it's way past your bedtime. I can only imagine the begging and pleading you had to do to convince hannah to let you do it. We're gonna have to pay her extra, I think.

Billy: Well, they were very excited. Can't say I blame them. I would have done the same thing.

Katie: Did you have fun on your trip?

Victoria: [ Sighs ] Uh, well, it was something that I had to do. But I'm so glad to be home and to see you! I've missed you. [ Smooches ] Aww. Now, give your dad a kiss, and I'm gonna tuck you guys in, okay?

Billy: Come here. Okay. Go have a good sleep, all right? Bye.

[ Sighs ] Hey. It's me. I need to see you.

Victoria: Seeing the smiles on their faces makes everything feel right again, you know?

Billy: I do. Their hugs are magic.

Victoria: [ Sighs ] I'm glad that you suggested we come home. Thank you so much for being the voice of reason.

Billy: Well, I'm just glad we're all safe and sound, back home as a family.

Victoria: Yeah. Then why are -- why are you leaving? You've got your jacket on.

Billy: It's been a long day. A good day. A really good day. But I'm exhausted, and I'm sure you are, too. And, uh, I'll come back in the morning and take them to school, okay?

Victoria: Okay. Listen, billy, um, I'm sorry that I didn't give you the warmest welcome when you showed up in vegas.

Billy: It's okay. I understand having to blow off steam.

Victoria: I appreciate you caring about me enough to come.

Billy: The last few days have been good. Really good. We haven't talked like that in a really long time.

Victoria: It's made me feel really close to you in a way that I've missed.

Billy: It's a new beginning. It's a new start for us.

Victoria: Yeah. I agree.

[ Sighs ] And it's only gonna get better from here on out.

Billy: No more high-stakes poker games, right?

Victoria: [ Chuckles ] Right. And no more looking into my father's shenanigans, either.

Billy: No. We'll just focus on me and you, and everything will be fine.

Billy: So, uh, are the kids the only ones that get a good-night kiss?

Victoria: No.

Billy: I'll see you tomorrow morning, okay?

Victoria: Okay.

[ Sighs ] Hey. Something's come up, and I could use your help.

Summer: Oh, excuse me! Hi. Um, I'm sorry. I'm looking for my husband. He's tall, handsome, uh, clean-shaven. He's trustworthy -- the kind of guy that wants to sometimes do the right thing but falls short. Just, um...

Summer: Right. Sorry. Um... kyle abbott.

I haven't served him tonight, but my shift just started.

Summer: Okay. Thank you.

[ Sighs ]

Summer: Hey, um, it's me. I'm not sure where you are, but just call me, okay? I'm getting kind of worried.

Kyle: [ Sighs ] I'm so sorry.

Lola: Um, you have nothing to apologize for. You were right to stop. It's a sign.

Kyle: Look, please don't read into this more than there is.

Lola: [ Sighs ] I feel terrible. I just asked you to cheat on your wife. And of course you couldn't do that to summer.

Kyle: I also couldn't do it to you. It's true -- I don't want to be a cheating husband. But I also don't want you to do something I know a part of you will regret.

Lola: You're right.

Kyle: [ Sighs ]

Lola: I'm not that person. I'm not the other woman.

[ Sighs ] And I'm only alive because of summer, and here I am stabbing her in the back. I mean, what does that even say about me?

Kyle: Hey, hey, hey. We stopped ourselves.

Lola: This is an impossible situation.

Kyle: [ Sighs ] But a temporary one.

Lola: What do we do now?

Kyle: [ Sighs ] I have to tell summer. I owe it to her to tell her the truth before we take the next step.

Lola: [ Sighs ] And then...? Do you still want this?

Kyle: You know I do. And this time, once I set things straight, we won't feel conflicted or guilty. We'll be free and clear to love each other the way we deserve. And it'll be amazing. And it'll be forever.

Lola: [ Sighs ] I don't know how you did it, but you just turned me down for sex, and somehow made that into another reason why I love you.

Kyle: [ Snorts softly ] We're going to figure this out.

Lola: I know. I believe you.

Kyle: It's just gonna take a little longer than we thought.

Lola: [ Sighs ]

Phyllis: [ Inhales deeply ] Be smart.

[ Cellphone vibrating ]

Kyle: [ Sighs ]

Lola: What? Is summer calling again?

Kyle: [ Sighs ] She and phyllis didn't go out of town, after all. She's been looking for me.

Lola: And what are you going to say about where you were?

Kyle: I'll think of something. But don't worry. It's good.

[ Inhales sharply ] The sooner I deal with this, the sooner we'll be together. I can't keep up the charade anymore. Because I am desperately in love with someone else.

Victoria: I was out of town for a few days. I just got back. I just, uh -- I needed to clear my head for a while.

Nick: Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm kind of going stir-crazy myself. Where'd you go?

Victoria: Uh, las vegas.

Nick: [ Chuckles ] Vegas? That's not really your scene.

Victoria: I know. I might have had a couple of big, blue drinks with curly straws.

Nick: [ Chuckles ] Now, that, I can see.

Victoria: [ Chuckles ]

[ Sighs ] Turns out, though, that I wasn't the only newman in vegas this week.

Nick: What does that mean?

Victoria: Our dear old dad was seen around town the same time I was.

Nick: I thought dad was on another business trip.

Victoria: Did he give you any details?

Victoria: Well. [ Sighs ] That's not good.

Nick: What do you think he's up to?

Victoria: Well, from what i hear, he's been hitting some private poker games with some big-shot player.

Nick: Are you sure it's dad? I mean, you're positive?

Victoria: Do you recognize the guy in the picture with dad?

Nick: Hmm. No, I don't know who that is.

Victoria: Do you think we should tell mom?

Nick: Nah. It'll just make her worry or make her mad, you know. Hell, I'm mad at him for taking off and leaving mom after all the stuff with J.T. Went down.

Victoria: Well, even worse, it seems he's been going back and forth for a couple of weeks. Apparently while most of the trial was going on.

Nick: [ Sighs ] Husband of the year. We could confront him about it, but he'd just lie to us.

Victoria: He's lied to me already. He said he was in new zealand on business.

Nick: Well, dad has always had his secret deals.

Victoria: Yeah, but there's something wrong about this one.

Nick: You think he might be in trouble? I mean, we thought that when he went missing in dubai.

Victoria: Yeah. We never found out where he was or what he was doing.

Nick: Maybe he was in vegas.

Victoria: [ Sighs ] Dad may know how to hide things, but I know his tricks, and I'm gonna find out what's really going on.

Jack: Hey. Before you take my head off, I want to apologize again for accusing you of leaking jabot secrets to ashley.

Billy: It's fine. It's, uh, not why I called you.

Jack: Okay, whate-- I-I want you to know I'm sorry. I should have known better.

Billy: I don't blameyou for suspecting me, jack. I mean, why wouldn't you?

Jack: Because I know you're on my team.

Billy: Well, I'm on your team when I'm pulled together enough to be on anyone's team. But let's face it, okay -- I am not the one that you -- you count on. I'm the one that you keep from going off the rails.

Jack: Wait, wait, wait. I don't think of you that way.

Billy: Come on. I'm unreliable. I-I make bad choices. I do, jack. It's just the truth. I mean, I embezzled money from jabot while I was C.E.O.

Jack: Ho-hold -- hold on. What is going on here?

Billy: [ Sighs ] I just got back from vegas.

Jack: Oh. Okay, well, whatever happened, we can deal with it.

Billy: I went there to see victoria, because she was there, and I was worried about her.

[ Inhales deeply ] And I was [Sighs] Arrogant enough that it wasn't gonna be a big deal, me being in vegas. But as soon as I got there, you know, the sights, the sounds, the chips, all of it, just, uh...

Jack: Relapsing is part of addiction, billy. We'll get you to a meeting. We'll get you a one-day chip tonight.

Billy: I didn't relapse. I could have. I was close. But I didn'T. Victoria saved me. She needed me, and that's what kept me in check.

Jack: Well, then, you should be very proud of yourself. You walked into the lion's den of temptation, and you came out alive.

Billy: I don't know. You know, because as much as i couldn't wait to get the hell out of there, I got back here, and... the feelings didn't go away.

Jack: But you called me. And that took courage.

Billy: [ Sighs ]

Jack: And that's a good sign.

Billy: You know, victoria and I have an opportunity for a fresh start, and I don't want to screw that up, so --

[ Front door opens ]

Kyle: Is, uh, summer here?

Jack: Uh, no. No, she -- she just took off. She was looking for you, though, earlier. You two have your signals crossed.

Billy: I'm gonna go, okay? Uh, thank you for the talk.

Jack: Yeah.

Billy: I'll see you later.

Jack: Everything all right with you?

Kyle: Yeah. I'm just juggling a few things.

Jack: Well, you want to talk it out? I am a good listener, and I got plenty of time.

Kyle: It'll be fine. I got to go. Thanks, though.

Jack: [ Sighs ]

Traci: Jack? Jack?

Jack: Yeah?

Traci: Oh! Hey. Um... I want to apologize to you about earlier. I think I was pretty hard on you.

Jack: There -- there's no need. Look, this is a complicated situation, and emotions are running high for everyone. Look, I also thought a lot about what you said.

Traci: And?

Jack: I've made a decision about what I'm gonna do next.

Jack: I've taken what you said to heart.

Traci: I'm so glad.

Jack: No, you were right. It's time for me to be the bigger man. As head of this family, I got to put away the hostilities and try to bring us all back together.

Traci: Oh! It's time for this family to stop feuding and start healing.

Jack: Agreed. So I am going to take ashley up on her offer, and we will merge the two companies.

Traci: Jack, this is just wonderful. What changed your mind?

Jack: Well, I finally had to admit to the fact that ashley out-maneuvered me. This latest move of hers, I don't know that we could recover from. So it's time to cut our losses. I will call her tomorrow.

Traci: Oh!

[ Cellphone rings ]

Jack: 'Scuse me.

Traci: Uh-huh.

Jack: Well, hi, there, sis.

Ashley: You found the bug, didn't you?

Jack: In fact, I did.

Ashley: And you have absolutely no interest in a merger.

Jack: No chance in hell. But, uh, here's what I am offering -- and listen closely, 'cause this is a very generous offer.

Ashley: Mm. I'm all ears.

Jack: I will wire you $2 million of my own funds if you will give up my beauty collective and get back to cosmetics.

Ashley: That's very generous. But make it five.

Jack: Three.

Ashley: Four. Final offer.

Jack: The money will be in your account by end of business tomorrow.

Ashley: Thank you.

Traci: So this was just some little show for ashley's benefit.

Jack: 'Fraid so.

Traci: And I was the puppet you used to try to get one over on our sister.

Jack: I'm sorry. Corporate espionage isn't always pretty.

Traci: You two are juveniles! You're a couple of middle-aged children!

Jack: You got caught in the middle. I'll make it up to you.

Traci: Jack, why can't you just grow up and behave like an adult?

Jack: Because this is so much more fun.

Traci: [ Exclaims angrily ] Augh! Jack! [ Huffs ]

Jack: [ Chuckles ]

Billy: [ Sighs ] Hi. I'm billy. And... I'm an addict.

Phyllis: Good news, lauren. Our plans are back on track. Fenmore's will be free from jabot in 24 hours. And those abbott boys are about to get what they deserve.

Summer: Oh, my god. I have been looking all over for you.

Kyle: My phone was off. I just got your messages.

Summer: Oh. Well, we were on our way to the spa, and I just -- I couldn't go. I just kept wanting to turn around and come back home to you.

Kyle: I'm glad you came back. We should sit and talk.

Summer: Yeah. No, yeah, I would love that. Just the two of us. Some alone time. You know, I have to say, I was kind of worried when I couldn't find you all day. I just -- thoughts started running through my head, and -- you're here, and you came home to me, so that's -- that's good. Heh...

Jack: I'm here.

Summer: Yeah. Oh! I have some great news. Um, I decided to take the job at jabot. So we're gonna be working together.

Kyle: Wow. Great.

Summer: I know. So, uh... where were you all night?
