Lola: What's this about?

Kyle: The donor. Summer was the only person who was a match, and you were running out of time.

Lola: What did you do?

Kyle: I married her.

Paul: I recruited you because I was told you were the best! You were dedicated. You were by the book. We are done here. You turn in your badge and your gun.

Arturo: I slept with another woman -- with mia.

Jack: Abby. There you are. Mrs. Martinez said she found this in your laundry hamper.

Abby: Huh. I thought I got them all out of my clothes. Hmm.

Jack: That's all you're gonna tell me?

Abby: Well, they may have been peppered with a few pieces of windshield.

Jack: Were you in an accident?

Abby: No. I meant to do it.

Summer: You.

Lola: Me.

Summer: How?

Lola: I wheeled myself in. Turns out you were right around the corner.

Summer: Um... my appendix, it burst.

Lola: [ Snorts softly ] Your appendix is lower than that. You were pointing at your liver.

Summer: Okay. What do you want?

Lola: To say thank you. You saved my life, and I am truly grateful.

Summer: You're welcome.

Lola: But after today, um, I hope that we will never see each other again.

Devon: What do you think?

Ana: I -- I think I'm confused.

Devon: That right there is a limited-edition print of your dad's very first concert.

Ana: I don't know what to say.

Devon: [ Chuckles ]

Ana: Where'd you even find this?

Devon: I-I know a couple people that, uh, specialize in music memorabilia.

Ana: You've got a guy for everything.

Devon: Yeah.

Ana: This mean you're cool with everything now?

Devon: Of course I am. I want to support you and your relationship with your father if you will let me do that.

Ana: So this is your way of convincing me?

Devon: Well, it's a gesture.

Ana: It's a bribe.

Devon: Did it work?

Summer: Well, it won't be hard for us to avoid each other if that's what you want. But I don't understand why you're upset with me.

Lola: I'm not. I'm thankful, really.

[ Sighs ] I could have died. And I will never forget what you did.

Summer: Then why --

Lola: When I asked the nurse for summer newman's room number, there wasn't one. But there was a room number for mrs. Abbott. Nice ring. Congratulations. You know, I always knew, deep down, kyle always had feelings for you. And, uh... he's confirmed it now. So it's time for me to move on.

Kyle: Uh...

Lola: Excuse me.

Kyle: Uh, let me help you back to your room.

Lola: Um, I'm fine on my own. You should stay with your wife.

Summer: I, uh, didn't expect you till later.

Kyle: Uh, I talked to nate. He said I can take you home.

Ana: So, what made you change your mind?

Devon: Just been thinking a lot about when I found my biological dad, tucker mccall.

Ana: Mom sure made things interesting for us.

Devon: She sure did. And reconnecting with him was complicated, and it was a tough road, but he ended up being the person that found the specialist to fix my hearing.

Ana: I remember.

Devon: And thinking about that extremely generous thing he did for me just makes me think about what you're trying to do for your dad.

Ana: Yeah. I just want to help him.

Devon: I know you do.

Ana: And I get why you were worried about jett using me for my money. And part of the reason I didn't mention it to you was because I didn't want you to think I was using you for yours. My dad and I aren't looking for a handout.

Devon: You don't have to tell me that. I know.

Ana: I'm sorry I lied to you about it.

Devon: Well, you're proud, like me. I get it.

Ana: You say that like it's a bad thing.

Devon: It can be if you let it get in the way of people trying to help you. 'Cause I know I-I refused tucker's offer a couple times.

Ana: You gave in eventually.

Devon: Sure I did. I did when I swallowed my pride. You know? And if I hadn't done that, if I hadn't gotten the surgery, I may have never gained the confidence to be successful in the music industry, or even be the person that I am today, so...

Ana: Sounds like you just stubbed being a little stubborn ass.

Devon: [ Chuckles ] Yeah. It's tough when it runs in the family. But let me help you guys. Really. 'Cause, you know, I have access to doctors that you are not gonna be able to afford. And we can work on getting him out of that motel room.

Ana: Ooh. A nicer place to stay would make him more comfortable.

Devon: Right.

Ana: He wouldn't need anything too fancy.

Devon: I don't think this place is fancy. I think this is homey, and... it's nice.

Ana: You'd want him to stay here?

Devon: Yeah. I don't see why not. We got plenty of room in here. I can convert the office upstairs into a space for elena if she wants.

Ana: I don't know if jett will go for it. He's a really private person. He didn't even tell me he was sick.

Devon: Well, how'd you find out?

Ana: Elena. She told me he had nodes on his vocal chords.

Devon: That's serious.

Ana: He needed surgery.

Devon: Which is the operation that you gave him money for, right?

Ana: And it took me forever to get him to accept it.

Devon: Well, I just think this is the perfect place for him to hide out while he's recovering.

Ana: He'd never admit this, but I get the feelng he's hoping to make a comeback once his voice is back in shape.

Devon: I don't see why he couldn't do that at all. I mean, with the right care, the guy has an amazing voice.

Ana: I remember when mom first told me about him. I went out and listened to all his albums, memorized all his songs. Even the ones that weren't that appropriate for his daughter to hear.

Devon: Those are his best songs.

[ Chuckles ]

Ana: I wondered what he was like. If he ever thought about me. Of course, he didn't know i existed, but... I had this crazy dream that maybe one day we'd sing together. Or he'd write a song about me.

Devon: Well, hey, if we help him heal properly, then maybe you can do that.

Ana: Having him finally in my life means everything to me.

Devon: I can see that. It's very clear. So, are we in agreement that we can move forward and they can move in here?

Ana: Yeah.

Devon: Yeah?

Ana: But I'm not the one you need to convince. You think I'm proud? I'm just a chip off the old block. He's the block.

Devon: Okay.

Paul: Welcome home.

Sharon: It's good to be home.

Paul: Um... listen, I got to tell you, I was pretty shocked to hear what you got caught up in.

Sharon: It was a bad situation that just got worse.

Paul: Mm-hmm. You made a conscious choice to deceive everyone here while the J.T. Investigation was going on.

Sharon: I hated having to do that.

Paul: You made a choice to betray our trust. That's not something we can just forget.

Sharon: I know. And I'm -- wait. Are you firing me?

Paul: That would be the easiest way to resolve the situation.

Sharon: Paul, I know I've made some mistakes, but you know me. And I've done good work while I was here.

Paul: You have been a valuable addition to the department. Which is why I am hoping that we can put all of this behind us, okay?

Sharon: Wait. There's something we need to talk about first. Rey.

Rey: Looks like you're ready to get out of here.

Lola: Yeah. You have no idea.

Rey: Hmm.

Lola: I thought arturo was gonna pick me up?

Rey: Arturo's busy today. So I'm the lucky one who gets to take our baby sister home. You know, lola, I wasn't sure if this day was gonna come. But our prayers were answered. Do me a favor, though -- never leave us again. You are the one that makes our family work.

Lola: Yeah, don't worry. I will be here to boss you and arturo around.

[ Groans ]

Rey: Here.

[ Sighs ]

Lola: You know, it feels like I've been gone forever. What's been happening with you?

Rey: Oh, there's gonna be plenty of time for that. Right now, we need to focus on you getting back to your life.

Lola: Yeah. I don't really know what that is anymore.

Rey: Well, we're gonna figure it out. One thing I know for sure is that you deserve some happiness.

[ Smooches ]

Lola: Agreed. And I never want to see the inside of a hospital ever again, so, please, let's go.

Rey: Let's go.

Summer: Well, that was intense with lola earlier, but... you know, I'm kind of glad that she knows. I feel relieved.

Kyle: Yeah.

Summer: Didn't really expect us to all three be in the same room like that. But, hey, we -- we got through it, right?

Kyle: Listen, we don't have to talk about it now.

Summer: Hey, we don't have to ever talk about it as far as I'm concerned. Lola said that she wanted to move on, and I think she knows that that's what's better for everybody. And now that that hurdle is behind us, we can just move on with our lives.

Devon: Hi, again.

Elena: You do not give up.

Devon: No, no. I, uh, actually have a proposal for jett that I want to go through. It won't take long. And I brought bear claws, 'cause I was told that they're his favorite.

Jett: Elena?

Devon: I'm here with ana's blessing, and I just want to help you guys. So if he accepts my offer, it'll be something that's good for both of you. And if he doesn't, I will turn around and walk away. So it's a win-win for you.

Jett: Tell whoever it is we don't want what they're selling.

Devon: All you got to do is let me in. Please. Thank you.

Jett: Elena --

Devon: Hey, mr. Slade.

Jett: What are you doing here?

Devon: Uh, I am here because I have a proposal for you that involves top-notch medical care and a more comfortable living situation and a close relationship with your daughter, if you're interested in it.

Jett: It sounds too good to be true.

Devon: Well, I assure you, it's not, because I'm here to make it happen.

Jett: [ Laughs ] I don't believe in fairy god-brothers, no.

Devon: [ Chuckles ] I like that. But, uh, ana did tell me that you -- you would probably turn me down.

Yeah. My daughter's a smart girl.

Summer: Hey, um, actually, I-I need a minute. I'm a little more worn out than I thought I would be.

Kyle: No problem. Take your time.

Summer: Pale and sickly is not exactly the post-honeymoon look I was gonna go for.

Kyle: But you're not post-honeymoon. You're post-surgery.

Summer: Do you think anyone's gonna know?

Kyle: No. Not a chance. We'll tell them you had a few too many mai tais.

Summer: You know, if we were really coming back from our honeymoon, we'd actually have a reason to look tired.

Kyle: I've got an idea.

Summer: Hmm?

Kyle: Come here.

Summer: Oh. Oh, just... be gentle.

Kyle: Ahh. It'll look like I'm carrying you across the threshold. And you get to kick back and enjoy the ride. Hit the doorbell.

Summer: Oh, okay.

Kyle: Aaah!

Summer: [ Giggles ]

Jack: Look who's here! Come on in.

Kyle: Newlyweds coming through.

Jack: [ Chuckles ] How was the honeymoon?

Summer: Uh, one amazing day after the other.

Abby: It feels like you barely just left. How many "amazing" days were you gone?

Kyle: Oh, who's counting?

Summer: Mmm. You know, all the amazingness has got me pretty exhausted, so I think I'm gonna go take a nap.

Jack: Well, could that maybe wait? Mrs. Martinez has put together a lovely spread for us to welcome you home.

Abby: And we already popped the cork. Don't make me drink alone.

Jett: All right, come on. You barely know us, man.

Devon: I understand that. But, you know, you... you're ana's father. So that makes us family, whether we like it or not.

Elena: And you want us to live together like one big happy one?

Devon: Well, I-I'm not exaggerating when I say that there's enough space that we will not have a problem avoiding each other, all right? And I'm at my office so often that you guys could probably go days without even seeing me. But if it doesn't work out, you don't have to stay there. It's not that big of a deal. I think that the most important thing is getting you in front of the right network of doctors, and me being able to pay for specialists and cutting-edge recovery treatments.

Jett: Ah, you got a way with words, man.

[ Chuckles ]

Devon: Thank you very much. Thank you. Um... but, I mean, you guys are aware, though, that recouping from an operation can be a lengthy process. And I believe that, with the right care, you have a great chance of being able to sing again if you want to.

Elena: You can't promise that. Don't put those ideas in his head.

> Jett: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. It's -- it's not like I haven't thought about it before.

Jett: I mean, it... I mean, I know there's a small chance, especially since i ignored the problem when I first noticed it 10 years ago.

Devon: That was around the time of your last album, no?

Jett: Yeah. The two before flopped, and the label was not happy. And the last thing I could afford or admit to myself was that I was having a problem with my voice, so... [ Scoffs ] So I just sang with the bad vocal chords.

Devon: Which I imagine only made things worse.

Jett: Eventually, the label dropped me. I mean, I could still book gigs here and there. I mean, that paid the bills. Until I completely lost my singing voice. But by then, I didn't have the money to pay for surgery.

Devon: That's rough. I'm sorry.

Jett: No, what's rough is finding out that I had a daughter that I didn't know about. Missing out on all those years of her life.

[ Sighs ]

Devon: I can only imagine what that was like. But, sir, I-I know that you have an opportunity now to make up for that lost time. And all ana wants to do is get to know you. So, I think that if you were to say no to my offer, it would make things more difficult for her.

Jett: Look, I-I'm not good at accepting charity, all right?

Devon: Well, look, man, you don't have to think of it like that. You really don'T. 'Cause it's -- it's not charity. It's -- this is me being there for family. And I know that you believe that doing this is the right thing for not only yourself, but for your daughter. And it would make me and her very happy if you were to say yes.

Jett: Okay.

Devon: Yeah?

Jett: Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

Devon: Thank you, man. Thank you for letting me do this for you, really.

Jett: [ Coughing ]

Devon: We can over details now, or we can wait for it.

Elena: That'll have to wait. He needs to rest.

Devon: Okay.

Jett: [ Breathing hard ] Thank you.

Elena: And no more talking.

Jett: Oh.

Elena: You're doing a good thing. But if this is gonna work, you have to know there are limits.

Sharon: You made a huge mistake firing rey.

Paul: [ Scoffs ] Sharon, I am actually impressed that you think you can run a police department better than me.

Sharon: He's the best cop you've got.

Paul: The best cops actually fight crime. They don't enable it.

Sharon: He was just trying to do the right thing.

Paul: He lied to my face, sharon. He undermined my authority. He lost my trust. I am done.

Sharon: You can rebuild your relationship. And I know that rey would work to earn your trust again.

Paul: You know, he was lucky he got off just being fired. I could have done a lot more than just take his badge and his gun.

Sharon: But --

Paul: This conversation is over. You have a lot of catching up to do. I suggest you do it.

Sharon: Paul. You may be done with this conversation, but I'm not.

Lola: Why did we come to your place instead of arturo's?

Rey: You're gonna be staying here for a while.

Lola: Okay. Why?

Rey: [ Inhales ] Because arturo's got a lot on his plate. And I got a lot less on mine.

Lola: Where's mia?

Rey: [ Sighs ] We're done. For good this time.

Lola: What happened?

Rey: It's been over longer than I'd like to admit.

Lola: I'm sorry, rey.

Rey: I'm not. I was holding on to... false hope and denial. Feeling some sense of duty.

Lola: Well, what was the last straw?

Rey: That doesn't really matter now.

Lola: Of course it does.

Rey: I don't want you thinking about that stuff. You need to focus on getting better.

Lola: Rey, this is life-changing news. I'm not just going to let it go. You know I will badger you until you tell me. Even in my weakened state, I am still stronger than you.

Rey: [ Snorts softly ]

Lola: You might as well just tell me --

Rey: It was arturo.

Lola: Arturo? What --

Rey: Mia loves arturo. She loved him first. She never stopped. She still loves him today.

Lola: But I thought that you guys had worked through all of that.

Rey: I thought so, too.

Lola: Well, how do you know? How can you be so sure? Oh. They slept together.

Rey: [ Scoffs ]

Lola: Again. Are you okay?

Rey: You know, in a weird way, I-I'm relieved. Like a weight's been lifted from my shoulders. Punching arturo in the face also helped.

Lola: What?

Rey: [ Chuckles ]

Lola: No way! Well, good. He deserved it.

[ Sighs ] Does abby know?

Rey: I think so. She took a hammer to his truck.

[ Laughs ] She beat the crap out of that thing.

Lola: Oh, my god. He loved that thing.

Rey: Yeah, I -- I feel sorry for the truck.

Lola: Hey, what's wrong with our family? It's like, when it comes to love, we are destined to be hurt.

Rey: Wait a minute. Are you -- are you talking about yourself?

Lola: I know about kyle and summer. The man I loved married the woman who saved my life.

[ Snorts ] Hey, if we weren't laughing, we'd be crying, right?

Rey: Come here.

Summer: Uh, you know, I'm gonna pass on the bubbly today.

Abby: You don't want any champagne?

[ Laughs ] Ugh! Married you is gonna be so boring.

Jack: Hey. You okay?

Abby: [ Sighs ] I am so good. And getting better by the moment. Mmm!

Jack: Okay. Well, since glasses are in the air, I think it's time for a proper toast.

Abby: Mm.

Jack: To summer. Welcome home. We hope you're as happy in this home as our family has been for many years. And to what brought you both here. A simple four-letter word -- love.

Abby: Mm. Yes, please. By all means. Let's toast to love.

Jack: Are you sure you're okay?

Abby: Oh. Mm-hmm.

Jack: Okay. Um... so, to kyle and summer. May the love you share be eternal.

Abby: They'll be lucky if they make it to thursday.

Jack: Okay. Obviously you're not okay.

Abby: Mm-hmm.

Jack: You have been off all day. And I think you've had enough of this.

Abby: Oh, not enough, actually.

Jack: No, no, no. Excuse me.

Abby: Ugh.

Kyle: Are you and arturo having problems?

Abby: No, not any more. No. I broke up with him. And then I smashed the windshield of his pickup. Into a million, itty-bitty, tiny pieces.

[ Laughs ] But no, no, no. I'm not -- I'm not mad anymore. I'm -- I'm actually thankful. Arturo reminded me that love is nothing but a cruel prank. The cruelest prank that the devil ever pulled. And the devil is a man.

[ Laughs drunkenly ] All men -- all men. Blammo! Life hack! The only way to be happy is to stay single. So let's toast to that, huh? Mmm! Mm-hmm.

Summer: Yeah, uh, I think I need to lay down.

Kyle: I-I'll take you upstairs.

Summer: Okay.

Kyle: Sorry, dad.

Jack: Okay. That just happened.

Devon: So, look, I understand that jett needs to take it easy, but I think the sooner that you guys move in, the sooner we can get him onto a new vocal-rehab program.

Elena: Why are you pressing so hard? Do you see jett as an investment?

Devon: No. I just care about him. But I appreciate you being so protective. I think that he's lucky to have somebody like you.

Elena: I'm lucky to have him. He's the best uncle a girl could ask for.

Devon: I'm sure he's happy to have a niece who's actually a nurse, too. You said you're a nurse, yeah?

Elena: Not exactly.

Devon: Oh. Okay. Then do you have a-a background in medicine? 'Cause I-I think that he's probably gonna need some people with experience to look after him.

Elena: I can handle it.

Devon: Okay. I don't mean to be rude, but what are your qualifications?

Elena: [ Scoffs ] I'm not answering that.

Devon: Wh-- why aren't you gonna answer that? You can still be his caretaker, and we can hire another nurse if we need to. It's not a problem.

Elena: I know what to do because I'm a doctor.

Devon: You're a doctor?

Elena: Don't look so surprised.

Devon: No. I'm -- I'M... I'm more confused.

Elena: I graduated from med school a few years back. But I had to drop out of my residency. I had a lot of student loans. Around the same time that jett needed a nurse. So he uses his disability benefits to pay me, and I keep my overhead low and use the rest to pay down my debt.

Devon: Wow. I'm sure it was tough going from a doctor's salary to living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Elena: I don't need much to get by. And sometimes I take part-time jobs to make a little extra. Yeah, I'm used to just buzzing around.

[ Snorts softly ] What? Is something wrong?

Devon: No. Not at all. It's, uh... I'm -- I'm just hoping that, by you moving in, you're able to save more money.

Elena: Thanks. I will.

Devon: Good.

Elena: But let me be clear -- I would help my uncle for free. Because I love him. He's always been there for me. So we are not hiring another nurse.

Devon: No, we are not. Who suggested that? It's a stupid idea.

Elena: [ Laughs ]

Devon: Um, when would you guys like to move in?

Elena: How about tomorrow?

Devon: Hey, tomorrow it is.

Summer: [ Groans ]

Kyle: There. How are you feeling? Should I call nate?

Summer: No. No, I'm fine. Actually, I'm, uh... doing better than fine. I wanted to say thank you.

Kyle: For what?

Summer: For being such a good husband. Abby was wrong about us. Dead wrong.

Kyle: [ Snorts softly ]

Summer: [ Sighs ]

Kyle: [ Sighs ]

Paul: You made your point about rey. I don't have time for this.

Sharon: You're going to have even less time after I resign.

Paul: Big mistake, sharon. He's not worth it.

Lola: Don't you have a job to get to?

Rey: Uh... turns out I am a professional channel-changer and grilled-cheese maker from now on.

Lola: Did you lose your job? Rey, what happened?

Rey: Um... I made some mistakes in the J.T. Hellstrom case. When I tried to correct them, I went outside the lines, and it cost me.

Lola: "Went outside the lines"?

Rey: It's for the best.

Lola: But that job meant everything to you.

Rey: Yeah, but you know what?

[ Sighs ] I'm not sorry for what I did. Nikki and victoria and sharon were unfairly sentenced, and I had to make it up to them. Especially sharon.

Lola: [ Huffs ] It's like the whole world shifted while I was in my coma.

Rey: Go back to sleep. We'll talk some more later.

[ Cellphone chimes ]

Jack: Hey. How's summer?

Kyle: She's sleeping.

Jack: Must have been some honeymoon.

Kyle: Yeah. A whirlwind.

Jack: I'll bet.

Kyle: [ Sighs ]

Jack: You want to tell me what's really going on?

Kyle: What do you mean?

Jack: When is she due?

Kyle: [ Scoffs ] You think she's pregnant?

Jack: Well, it would explain why she's so fatigued, why she didn't want any champagne, why you were in such a hurry to get married, why you were so eager to move on from lola --

Kyle: What if I haven't moved on?

Jack: What do you mean? You -- you still love lola?

Kyle: I never stopped.

Jack: So what about summer?

Kyle: Summer was... lola's liver donor.

Jack: Holy -- [ Sighs ] Wow. That, I did not expect.

Kyle: Dad, I love summer for what she did. But I'm in love with lola.

Jack: How did this even happen? Did she blackmail you? Did she offer her liver --

Kyle: No. It -- it was my idea. It was the only way I could guarantee lola got what she needed, so I proposed, and now we're married, and this is my life.

Jack: So lola gets a liver, and you never look back.

Kyle: That's the plan. Except my feelings for lola haven't gone away. Moving on from her is a lot harder than I expected.

Rey: I'd invite you upstairs, but lola's getting settled in.

Sharon: Of course. Another day. In the meantime, I wanted you to know that I will be back here. So... I can make your favorite coffee for you.

Rey: Did paul fire you? No, he can't -- he can't punish you for what I did. I'm gonna talk to him.

Sharon: No. Hold on. He didn't fire me. I quit.

Rey: You quit? Because of me?

[ Knock on door ]

Summer: Kyle?

Jack: It's me. I wanted to see if I could get you anything.

Summer: Um... no, I-I'm fine. But, no, you can come in. Hi. Um... I'm sorry that I had to leave lunch ealy. It just -- you know what, the wedding and the honeymoon just kind of took a lot out of me.

Jack: Kyle told me why you were tired, summer.

Summer: Oh.

Jack: He told me about the surgery.

Summer: Okay.

[ Exhales ] Um... look, I know how this looks. That's why I wanted to stay anonymous, so that no one would jump to conclusions like I'm sure you did.

Jack: Well, I'd love to hear things from your side. Why did you agree to marry him?

Summer: Because I love him.

Jack: And what about lola and the surgery?

Summer: Well, I found out that I was a match for lola, and -- and of course I wanted to help her. I mean, I had the power to save her life, so how could I say no, really? And this has nothing to do with what's happened between kyle and me. We just reconnected, and we fell back in love. That's all.

Jack: Kyle says he loves... what you did for lola.

Summer: Look, I'm not stupid, jack. I know that kyle might still feel conflicted. But his heart has always been with me, and it will always be with me.

Jack: And you're not at all concerned he may still have residual feelings for lola?

Summer: No, 'cause their relationship happened on the way back to me. And even lola says that she can see what kyle and I have.

Jack: I'll let you rest.

Summer: Okay.

Kyle: [ Sighs ]

[ Cellphone chimes ]

[ Sighs ]

Ana: He said yes? That's unbelievable!

Devon: I told you I'd do it.

Ana: When are they moving in?

Devon: Uh, tomorrow.

Ana: Tomorrow?

Devon: Yeah.

Ana: Wow.

Devon: Mm-hmm.

Ana: You're really good.

Devon: Mm-hmm. [ Chuckles ]

Ana: I'm -- I'm so sorry i pushed you away about this for so long. Thank you for not giving up on me.

Devon: Of course.

Ana: Or my dad.

Devon: Of course. Of course.

Rey: You -- you can't quit. The work you were doing was important, and -- and you loved it there.

Rey: No, paul had every right to do what he did.

Sharon: So did I. You're missing the point. Stop stepping all over my grand gesture.

Rey: [ Exhales softly ] Okay. Okay. I will take your grand gesture and raise you one. It's time I took you out on a proper date.

Jack: Hey. What's with the phone rage?

Kyle: Uh... just something I have to handle for work.

Jack: Uh-huh. I-I just had a brief talk with summer.

Kyle: Yeah? How's she doing?

Jack: Well, she's tired. I hope you don't mind, I told her I knew about the surgery. I just -- I couldn't bring myself to lie to her.

Kyle: It's fine. How'd she react?

Jack: Pretty defensive at first. And then she was determined to convince me that you two were meant to be. I know this doesn't go both ways, but that girl is pretty crazy in love with you.

Kyle: I know.

Jack: So what are you gonna do?

Kyle: I have no idea.

Jack: Yeah, this is a tough one. But seeing her so weak and swooning over you, I... I really felt for her. The idea of taking one of her organs and then pushing her aside seems kind of wrong. And I would hate for her to become collateral damage in this whole thing.

Kyle: I don't want to hurt her.

Jack: Then don'T.
