Episode #11565 ~ Michael attempts to strike a deal; Kyle is faced with a tough decision.

Nate: The preliminary tests show that you're a potential liver donor for lola. Can you come in so I can do further tests to find out if you're a definitive match?

Tessa: J.T. Had hidden the camera in victoria's garage, and the video was on the dark horse servers, and I used them to blackmail nikki.

Nick: They gave you immunity and you rolled over on everyone. You got to go. We're done.

Christine: So the four of you, you rolled him up in a rug, you drove him to chancellor park, and you buried him in the dirt. Correct?

Phyllis: Yes.

Michael: You signed on as the district attorney's star witness. And it was not something you did to help these three women. It was a panic move on your part because you were desperate to save your own skin.

Victoria: As bad as they made phyllis look, I'm afraid that her testimony about us is incredibly damning.

Michael: The secrets, the lies of omission, the conflicting stories. If you won't cooperate, you'll be the ones to pay the price!

Michael: [ Slams files ]

Nikki: Michael! We were just trying to figure out --

Michael: The transcript of phyllis' testimony. I'd tell you to read it, but you were there, and are aware of how damaging it was to your case.

Nikki: That woman is the most lying, backstabbing creature --

Michael: All right. Spare me the superlatives. The only one that matters is the most effective witness for the prosecution.

Victoria: The jury had to see that she was out to save her own skin.

Michael: Did you see their faces?

Nikki: But, michael, we have our faith in you.

Michael: I will do my best to undo the damage phyllis did yesterday. But there's no guarantee of my success. And I can promise you one thing -- without the truth, I have no chance. So you have two choices. Come clean to me about what happened the night J.T. Disappeared or... risk going to prison.

Nikki: All right. Everything that phyllis said in court yesterday is true.

Sharon: Phyllis is the biggest liar I have ever met. And then she picks yesterday to tell the truth.

Brittany: Her timing couldn't have been worse.

Sharon: [ Sighs ] So, on a scale from one to "I'm screwed," how bad are things?

Brittany: If michael or i can't cast doubt on her story, it could be really bad.

Sharon: All those times phyllis said, "we need to stick together." And even though she's phyllis, I felt I could trust her.

Brittany: You know, it didn't register before that you were arrested on february 14th.

Sharon: We are friends.

Brittany: Close friends?

Sharon: I guess so.

Brittany: You said you were having a "very personal, very emotional conversation."

Sharon: We were.

Brittany: Not about J.T. Or the case?

Sharon: I told you, that didn't come up until after he saw my phone bill.

Brittany: So he didn't come to your house to discuss work or to arrest you. Sharon, why was detective rosales at your house on valentine's day?

Phyllis: I don't need a babysitter.

Summer: I was just taking you out to breakfast. Can't a daughter spend some time with her mom? Look, I know that you're probably second-guessing yourself for testifying.

Phyllis: [ Sighs ] Well, it's kind of hard with the death glares that I was getting yesterday.

Summer: Well, it's not your fault that christine twisted your words.

Phyllis: [ Sighs ] She made it sound like I was out for myself.

Summer: All right, well, that's not true.

Phyllis: You're the only one that believes that. Expecting someone?

Summer: Uh, no. I just thought maybe kyle was here.

Phyllis: Ohh, that's why you came up here.

Summer: No! No, no, no. I was just seeing if he had any news about lola. No, I am absolutely here for you.

Phyllis: [ Sighs ] I'm fine. As long as I don't dwell on how your father feels about me.

Summer: Well, he knows that it's not your fault for what happened on the stand. He's not gonna blame you for what christine did.

Phyllis: I wish I could be so sure.

Mariah: Hey, nick.

Nick: Hey. [ Sighs ]

Nick: You did all you could to help mom, vick, and sharon on the stand yesterday.

Mariah: Christine certainly did not make it easy.

Nick: You didn't let her use you to make her case.

Mariah: Unlike phyllis?

Nick: Phyllis made a deal with christine. It's classic quid quo pro.

Mariah: Yeah, I'm not really sure she knew what she was getting into.

Nick: I'm not buying it.

Mariah: So where does that leave the two of us?

Nick: I got to go. Thanks again for what you did in court yesterday.

Nikki: I wasn't planning on confessing to J.T.'S murder, but when rosales and christine came to the house to escort victor to the courthouse, I just --

Michael: It was too much for you. I get it. I get it.

Nikki: I couldn't stand the thought of him going to prison for a crime I had committed.

Michael: And you didn't want victoria implicated, so you made up that story about following J.T. To the park and killing him alone.

Nikki: After everything that she had been through with J.T., I couldn't let her pay the price for my crime.

Victoria: Michael, I've tried to convince her that taking all of the blame was a bad idea.

Nikki: Yeah, well, if phyllis had kept her mouth shut, the plan would have worked.

Michael: Well, counting on that was a mistake.

Nikki: Put me on the stand.

Michael: [ Scoffs ] No! No way.

Nikki: Christine made it sound like what happened that night was just a cold-blooded murder. Give me the chance to explain to the jury that I was a mother just trying to protect my daughter. I mean, it was either going to be her or him.

Michael: And then christine will cross-examine you, and remind them that you gave a very different version of events to the police. It will take her half a second to get them to doubt your current version.

Nikki: I witnessed my daughter being attacked by her abuser. Yes, I ended up killing J.T. -- To save her life! Who else could convince a jury that I was a mother simply trying to protect my daughter? I was not a calculated killer.

Victoria: Me.

Nikki: What?

Victoria: I was the victim that night. I should be the one to get on the stand and tell them what happened.

Mariah: You know, the news about nick hating on phyllis, that was supposed to cheer you up.

Tessa: Nick is not gonna let go of his anger towards me. Did you say the way that he looked at me when we walked in?

Mariah: He probably just got some bitter coffee.

Tessa: He looked at me the same way when you were testifying about where you got the video file.

Mariah: You know, everyone was upset with how christine went after me in the courtroom.

Tessa: Yeah. But I blackmailed his mom and his sister. He hates me.

Mariah: Let's just be happy that none of that came out in court, okay?

Tessa: Yeah, but this case is long from over. And even if the women are cleared, nick is victor's son. He doesn't forgive anyone who betrays the people he loves.

Summer: Look, dad is just overwhelmed about the trial, okay? Once it's over, he will know that you were just trying to do the right thing.

Phyllis: Yeah, well, even if nikki and victoria and sharon are cleared, they're not gonna let him forget that I testified for the prosecution.

Summer: Okay, but if they are cleared, it'll be thanks to you.

Phyllis: Well, I'm not so sure your father's gonna feel that way.

Summer: Look, I didn't say that it was gonna be easy to win him over, but... you do have a way with him.

Phyllis: I don't think my charms are really gonna work this time.

[ Scoffs ]

Summer: Your "charms" are your superpower, and they never fail.

Phyllis: [ Chuckles ] Oh, the way your father looked at me. It was so cold. I don't know how I'm gonna turn that around.

Summer: Well, hey. Hey, no, mom, you -- you can do anything that you set your mind to. All right? Look at the way that you won this job over all of the abbotts. Nobody is better at getting what they want than you. And I know that you want dad.

Phyllis: I do.

Summer: Okay, then. Don't give up. 'Cause if you don't try, you're gonna always wonder what might have happened.

Kyle: Uh, I wanted to go over the marketing proposal for the summer line?

Phyllis: Kyle. Hi. Yeah. Uh, make an appointment with ted. I actually have something to take care of outside of the office today.

Kyle: Sure.

Phyllis: We'll talk later?

Summer: Yeah. Good luck.

Phyllis: Okay.

Summer: Bye.

Phyllis: Kyle, bring your "a" game to our meeting. I am ready to give my full attention to jabot.

Kyle: Mm. Now that you're done testifying.

Phyllis: Yeah. Actually relieved that's behind me.

Kyle: [ Sighing ] Mm-hmm. Press sure loved all the drama.

Phyllis: Seems like you did, too.

Kyle: Why would I be happy about something that could damage my family's company?

Phyllis: Just remember, the goal is to keep jabot as far from this trial and the fallout as we can.

Kyle: Absolutely. Okay.

[ Sighs ] I should get back to work.

Summer: Oh, no. Wait. Kyle, um... I wanted to talk to you about lola.

Kyle: [ Sighs ] I really don't have time, summer.

Summer: No, um, I'M... a match.

Kyle: This better not be a joke, summer.

Summer: Why would you think that I would kid about something like that?

Kyle: Just tell me it's true.

Summer: Yes, of course it is. I know what this means to lola, and to you.

Kyle: The thought of losing lola's been driving me crazy. If you're really a match --

Summer: What do I mean? This is a major surgery. Cutting something out of my body --

Summer: Yeah, I know that, but --

Summer: [ Sighs ] But I can't help but wonder about all the things that could go wrong.

Kyle: Nothing's gonna go wrong.

Summer: No, you don't know that. Dr. Hastings couldn't even guarantee that there might not be complications.

Kyle: Look, you got tested. You must have known what that meant.

Summer: Yeah, I did.

Kyle: Are you -- are you saying you won't do it?

Summer: No! No. I mean, I don't -- I don't know. I just -- I just found out that I was a match. And, look, my parents are busy with my grandma and aunt vicki's trial, and I've literally had nobody to talk to about this.

Kyle: I'll talk to you. Let's sit down. You can tell me everything you're thinking and feeling.

Summer: Okay, just not here, though. I'd just rather go someplace quiet, where I can think.

Kyle: Sure. Where do you want to go?

Summer: I don't know. The athletic club?

Kyle: I'll drive.

Summer: Okay. Thank you. For being so understanding.

Kyle: This is a big decision. I'll do whatever it takes to help you realize that being lola's donor is the right thing to do.

Summer: Okay.

Sharon: I don't see how my relationship with rey has any bearing on the case. It doesn't change what happened to J.T.

Brittany: It might make a difference how I defend you.

Sharon: I told you. Rey and I are friends.

Brittany: Yes.

Sharon: And our friendship is complicated.

Brittany: How so?

Sharon: When rey first came to town, he and his wife were separated. He and I became close.

Brittany: How close?

Sharon: We had an emotional connection, which might have become something more. But rey's wife came to genoa city, and they got back together.

Brittany: Why do I get the feeling that's not the end of the story? Sharon, I need to know everything.

Sharon: Rey's a good man.

Brittany: Then there's no reason to protect him.

Sharon: I just don't see the point in ruining his reputation.

Brittany: The point is to keep you out of prison. If there's something more to this, I need to know. Let me decide if it's important.

Sharon: Rey came to my house on valentine's because he and his wife had had a fight. He told me that his marriage was over, and that he loved me.

Victoria: Michael --

Michael: No.

Victoria: Just hear me out.

Michael: Fine.

Victoria: I can help the jury to understand what it felt like to be J.T.'S victim. I can help them to understand what that felt like. I'll just explain to them how terrified I was the night that he attacked me. And in that moment, when mom hit J.T., We were all scared and vulnerable. Just put me on the stand, and i will -- I will help them to see why we did what we did.

Michael: [ Grunts angrily ] Victoria, I appreciate how personal and painful this is for you. But if I'm gonna win this case, it's going to be on the facts. And, unfortunately, like your mother, you have a very tenuous relationship with those.

Victoria: Michael, my testimony will be the truth.

Michael: If you had given perhaps even a close approximation of that story to the police while they were questioning you all those months... or maybe even the night you were arrested, the jury might find it plausible, maybe even believable. But you have been inconsistent. And if I put you on the stand, christine will send me a gift basket in thanks.

Victoria: I can handle christine.

Michael: Did you see what she did to phyllis? That was her witness! No, victoria. No!

[ Slamming table ] No, no!

Nikki: All right. If you won't put either one of us on the stand, what is our next option?

Michael: It's something I've been thinking about, but I don't think you're gonna like it.

Tessa: I just -- I can't help but feel guilty about blackmailing your mom and the others. Or worrying that it's gonna come out.

Mariah: You can't change the past or predict the future. So you know what? I'm gonna live in the here and now, and I'm gonna make the best of it.

Tessa: [ Snorts softly ] And forget everything else?

Mariah: No. I'm gonna be there for my mom to the best of my abilities. And I'm confident that she's gonna be acquitted, so I want to focus on doing something for ourselves after the trial is over.

Tessa: Like what? Hm? A spa day? Or a night out?

Mariah: No. No, I'm thinking bigger. Way, way, way bigger. Like an island in the middle of the ocean. You know, like those bungalows where you can see the water, and it's so clear, and it's so blue. Or, um, a european city. A villa somewhere, where there's buildings and museums and exhibits, and we can sit in a café and drink wine and sample the local cuisine.

Tessa: Ooh, fancy.

Mariah: Or if that's too much, we could just camp under the stars.

Tessa: Or... we can do all of the above.

Mariah: I like that. Why not?

Tessa: Yeah? [ Chuckles ] Thank you.

Mariah: For taking you around the world?

Tessa: For trying to take my mind off the very real possibility that I could be going to jail.

Mariah: No, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. See, we're on a fantasy vacation here, so there's no real-world problems allowed. You got to tell me -- you gonna hop on the train? But before you answer, just let me tell you... there is a bar car.

Tessa: All aboard.

Phyllis: It's still so cold outside. I thought maybe things would have warmed up by now.

Nick: I assume you're here to get the rest of your things?

Phyllis: Actually, I came to talk to you.

Nick: Well, I don't know what it is we have to discuss.

Phyllis: Us.

Nick: No, I think I've said everything I need to say on that subject.

Phyllis: I know that you are angry that I testified. We can put this all behind us now.

Nick: After the damage is done?

Phyllis: You know that's not what I intended.

Nick: Do I?

Phyllis: People have always painted me as a villain in this town, and I've done a damn good job of living up to that image. But you know me.

Nick: Oh, yeah. I know you. You are a determined, ruthless, take-no-prisoners badass.

Phyllis: Qualities you've always admired.

Nick: Yeah. Until you used them to hurt people I care about it.

Phyllis: I was trying to help nikki and victoria. Even sharon. You heard me call J.T. A scumbag. I did everything I could to show the jury that what we all did was justifiable.

Nick: Well, congratulations, phyllis. You have done nothing but make it worse for my mother, sister, and sharon. They could do 20 years if not more.

Phyllis: And that is because of christine, because she's a witch. She used me and twisted my words. If you're angry at anybody, be angry at her.

Nick: So I should blame christine for what happened in that courtroom yesterday?

Phyllis: She was out for blood. You were there.

Nick: And you are completely blameless.

Phyllis: Good. You do understand.

Nick: Are you delusional?

Victoria: You want us to plead guilty?

Michael: Hey, I'm not asking you to throw yourself on the mercy of the court. It's a negotiation. Christine doesn't have to take her chances with the jury. In exchange, you both get reduced sentences.

Nikki: How reduced?

Michael: I don't think I can avoid some jail time for you, but I will certainly push for the absolute minimum.

Nikki: What about victoria?

Michael: Well, I would suggest a combination of probation and community service. I would stress to the judge and the D.A. That she is a victim here, also, that she has no priors, that she's a mother of small children. I'll make a strong case for immediate release.

Nikki: And you're confident you can do that?

Michael: Under that tough exterior, christine is a reasonable and compassionate woman.

Victoria: Look, I don't like the idea of my mom spending any time in prison.

Michael: Well, I'm afraid that's unavoidable.

Victoria: Well, then it's not worth it.

Nikki: I disagree. If michael can get my sentence reduced and you go free, it is absolutely worth it.

Victoria: Mom, I am not gonna let you go to prison while I just walk away free.

Nikki: I am the one that hit J.T. With that poker, because I was protecting you, like I am doing now.

Victoria: You are paying the price for my mistake.

Nikki: I am a mother doing what's best for my child. Please let me do it.

Victoria: Do I have any choice?

Nikki: No.

Michael: So, is that a yes? I'll be back as soon as I can. You're doing the right thing.

Victoria: I wish I believed that.

Brittany: Is that as far as it went? Did the two of you...?

Sharon: No. No, nothing even close to that happened. I wasn't even expecting rey to come by. I -- I thought he and his wife had worked things out. Their marriage seemed solid.

Brittany: Maybe he thought he could have you and his wife.

Sharon: No, rey's not like that.

Brittany: Maybe you don't know him as well as you think.

Sharon: He was upset that night. Something happened between him and mia.

Brittany: What?

Sharon: He never gave me any specifics.

Brittany: Hmm.

[ Sucks teeth ] Interesting.

Sharon: Why?

Brittany: After he confessed his love to you, you went to the kitchen.

Sharon: To make tea.

Brittany: And that's when he happened to see your telephone bill.

Sharon: I left it lying on the table with my tax papers.

Brittany: And he looked at it closely enough to realize that you had called 911 on the night of victoria's party.

Sharon: It caught his eye. He's a cop. A good one.

Brittany: Is he?

Sharon: Why would you say that?

Sharon: Did he read you your rights before you made a statement?

Sharon: It wasn't really a statement. It was more like I was unburdening myself.

Brittany: To someone who loved you.

Sharon: Are you suggesting...? No. Rey would not do that to me.

Brittany: Are you sure?

Phyllis: Are you really telling me that you think I'm responsible for that hatchet job that nasty bug did on me?

Nick: Everyone in that courtroom knew she was gonna twist your testimony to her advantage. I can't believe that you didn'T.

Phyllis: I was trying to help nikki and --

Nick: Bull. You keep telling yourself that you took the stand to help them. All you were doing was saving yourself.

Phyllis: That's not true.

Nick: And michael tore you apart on that stand.

Phyllis: He was trying to discredit me in front of the jury.

Nick: If you really wanted to help them, you should have stood by them and had their back instead of pretending to be.

Phyllis: I never meant to hurt them. I am so sorry.

Nick: You are sorry that you were revealed to be the soulless woman that you are.

Phyllis: You don't mean that.

Nick: Yeah, actually, I do.

Phyllis: I came back here because I believed that we still had a chance. I know that our love is strong enough to survive this.

Nick: Yeah, there was a time I may have believed that. But then you hurt the people i care more about than anyone in this world -- my mother and sister.

Phyllis: Don't forget about your precious sharon.

Nick: Just let me know where I need to send the rest of your things.

Brittany: Wasn't expecting that.

Michael: [ Chuckles ] Well, of course I can't reveal details of privileged conversations I've had with my clients...

Brittany: Of course.

Michael: ...But I can tell you this -- they recognized the potential damage phyllis' testimony may have done to their cases. And I am sure that your client feels the same way.

Brittany: Sharon wasn't surprised by what transpired on the stand.

Michael: Mm, yeah. It sounds like we're on the same page. Which brings me to the reason I'm here. I was wondering if you would be interested in the two of us approaching christine together.

Brittany: You want me to persuade sharon to plead guilty?

Michael: No, no. If we join forces, we could deal from a position of strength.

Brittany: Well, considering what happened in court yesterday, strength is a relative word.

Michael: Meaning...?

Brittany: I'm gonna pass on your offer. I don't think it's in my client's best interests.

Michael: You're sounding confident.

Brittany: I think sharon will be acquitted.

Michael: Oh, you're not telling me something.

Brittany: [ Clicks tongue ] I'm afraid I can't get into details about privileged conversations with my client.

Michael: [ Chuckles ]

Christine: Hey. I got a message you wanted to see me.

Michael: Yes, um...

Christine: Okay. Court will be resuming soon, so let's make it quick.

Brittany: I'll leave you two alone.

Christine: What'd you want to talk to me about?

Kyle: So, is this quiet, private enough for you?

Summer: It's perfect.

Kyle: You want anything else? Something to eat?

Summer: No. I'm good.

Kyle: Let's talk about you being lola's donor, then. I've been doing a ton of research on organ donation, specifically the liver. Which, as you know, can come from a live donor.

Summer: Oh, yeah. Lucky for me.

Kyle: And lola.

Summer: Yeah, no. Of course. Um... there's just some things that I want to discuss, though.

Kyle: Ask me anything. If I don't know the answer, I'll find it for you. I'll do everything I can to make you comfortable. I understand this is a huge deal.

Summer: It is. Um... that's not really what I want to talk about. Not yet, anyway.

Kyle: Oh, okay. Um... what, then?

Summer: Look, I just... I really want to clear the air between us. I mean, honestly, kyle, you -- you've been pretty horrible to me lately.

Kyle: I know. I'm sorry. I've been... stressed out ever since I found lola in our pool.

Summer: Yes, and I knew how worried you were about her. That's why I showed up to the hospital that first night. To be there for you.

Kyle: And I laid into you for having the nerve to show up.

Summer: You accused me of being the one who hurt lola.

Kyle: Yeah. I feel like crap for that.

Summer: That's how you made me feel. You made me feel like I was some selfish bitch with no heart.

Kyle: No, summer. That's not how I feel.

Summer: Okay, how do I know you're not just saying that so I'll be lola's donor?

Kyle: Look, I -- you got tested to see if you were a match for lola. That's the most unselfish thing you can do. I've been a total jerk. And I'm so sorry for the way i treated you. You didn't deserve it. I'm not gonna pretend like things have always been easy between us.

Summer: Yeah, that's an understatement.

Kyle: Through all the craziness, I always knew you were a good person. I still believe that.

Summer: Well, you have no -- no idea how much that means to me to hear you say that.

Christine: I take it sharon's lawyer didn't want to be part of this?

Michael: No. Brittany didn't feel it was in sharon's best interest. Christine... [ Sighs ] My clients aren't a threat to anyone.

Christine: [ Sighs ] Tell that to J.T. Keeping the public safe isn't my only obligation. I... my job is to make sure that justice is served.

Michael: Putting nikki and victoria in prison will not accomplish that.

Christine: I disagree. I think the jury does, too.

Michael: Yeah, well, it's hard to know what a juror thinks after only one day of testimony.

Christine: Well, you saw the looks on their faces. Why would I make a deal with you if I think things are going my way?

Michael: Because you're a smart lawyer. Because you know that trials are fluid. You know all the ground you've gained could be taken away with one rebuttal witness.

Christine: [ Scoffs ] It could, but I don't think it will. I don't think you do, either. That's why you're here. And, look, honestly, I would be doing the exact same thing if i were in your shoes.

Michael: What, fighting for a fair outcome?

Christine: Fair? Heh. That's an interesting word. Do you really think it was fair that your clients made J.T. Pay with his life for his alleged crimes?

Michael: I really thought you'd have more sympathy for these women.

Christine: Come on. Bottom line -- you can't take the law into your own hands. Especially when you're talking about murdering someone.

Michael: So you're not gonna even consider my offer?

Christine: Sorry.

Michael: [ Sighs ]

Brittany: Don't have to ask how that went.

Michael: [ Cracks mint ]

Nick: Thought you took off.

Phyllis: I grabbed the rest of my things. You don't need to send them.

Nick: Well, that's good. There's no point in dragging this out.

Phyllis: You know, I always thought what we had was worth fighting for. I thought you did, too.

Nick: I did. But then you turned into someone that I don't recognize.

Phyllis: I'm the same person I've always been.

Nick: Well, then that makes me an even bigger fool. You know the way out.

Mariah: The great barrier reef.

Tessa: In australia?

Mariah: Is there another one?

Tessa: They have spiders the size of your head there.

Mariah: Yeah, I know. I love that. It's awesome, right?

Tessa: No, that is the opposite of awesome. Okay, well, um... how about, uh... how about mount everest?

Mariah: You want to scale the highest point on earth?

Tessa: We could be on top of the world! That's so cool!

Mariah: No, no, it's not cool. It sounds very cold. And I usually like my vacations with a little more sunshine and, I don't know, oxygen.

Tessa: I thought you liked to live on the edge.

Mariah: Of life, not the planet.

Tessa: [ Laughs ] Okay, well, fine. I will wait to cross that off my bucket list.

Mariah: Thank you. Man, there's got to be a place that's perfect for the both of us.

Mariah: That is exactly where we should go.

Tessa: When?

Mariah: The minute that the trial is over. We can put this all behind us and get out of here. Start our life without anything weighing us down.

Brittany: I think your case is much stronger on its own.

Sharon: I'm just as involved in J.T.'S death as nikki and victoria.

Brittany: Neither of them were tricked into confessing.

Sharon: I'm still not convinced.

Brittany: Sharon, I know you think detective rosales is your best friend, but do you really think he didn't know exactly what he was doing when he came to your house on valentine's day?

Sharon: I don't know.

Brittany: Think about it. Not just on that night, but your entire relationship with him.

Sharon: The way he befriended me, pretending to be this good samaritan when my plumbing broke. Renting the apartment above crimson lights. Then he got me the job at the gcpd. Then he confessed to being in love with me. And it was all a lie.

Brittany: One we can use to our advantage.

Sharon: How?

Brittany: Detective rosales used your feelings for him to trick you into confessing. From where I'm sitting, that spells acquittal.

Nikki: She wouldn't even consider a deal?

Michael: No. Christine's playing hardball.

Victoria: Maybe this is a good thing. I never liked the idea of mom serving time.

Nikki: So, no deal. What's your next move?

Michael: I've already made it.

Tessa: [ Sighs ] I should not be surprised that michael called me as a witness.

Mariah: Maybe he just wants you to back up my story. Testify that I didn't tell you who sent that video.

Tessa: We both know it's more than that. Nick probably told michael that I blackmailed your mom and the others.

Mariah: I don't understand how this coming out can help their defense.

Tessa: Well, michael obviously has a plan, and it involves me being forced to testify about what I did.

Summer: Well, there's a lot in here about being an organ donor, but they do not tell you how it feels to risk your life to save someone else'S.

Kyle: Probably because there's no way to describe it.

Summer: Oh, no, I can tell ya -- it's terrifying.

Kyle: Bet that's how most people feel. And lola's doctors are kick-ass, and memorial is one of the best hospitals in wisconsin.

Summer: No, I know all of that.

Kyle: Then what's holding you back?

Summer: Okay, yes, you'd think it would be a no-brainer, right? Lola gets a liver. And I get to be the center of attention, my favorite place.

Kyle: Don't sell yourself short. You'd be making a huge sacrifice. You'd be a hero, summer. Especially to me.

Summer: Okay, I can't help feeling like you're saying all of that just so that I'll do this.

Kyle: I mean every word. What can I say to convince you? I'll do whatever it takes to get you to do this. Anything. Name it.

Summer: You really mean that, don't you?

Kyle: Yes. Saving lola's life is the most important thing in the world to me. So tell me -- what is it gonna take you to agree to be her donor? You want me to break up with her and be with you? I will. I'll even marry you if that's what it takes.
