Episode #11541 ~ Nick and Sharon open old wounds; Abby holds her enemies close; Summer returns home.
Provided By Suzanne
Previously on "the young and the restless"...
Summer: I actually have a job offer. It's in dubai.
Kyle: Hey, there's a lot out there for you, summer. Go get it.
Summer: I'll miss you.
Kyle: I'll miss you, too.
Billy: Kerry's here because& you listened to me and you called her.
Jack: Eh, kerry's here and kerry's not here. I just get the feeling I don' know her as well as I thought.
Mia: This marriage means more to arturo than it does to abby! I don't want to see arturo with a broken heart.
Nick: Then it's true. You were there that night and you helped cover it up.
Sharon: No point in denying it now.
Victor: Who are you talking to?
Katie: My friend. Grown-ups can't see him, just me.
Victor: Oh. Must be a very special friend.
Victor: Well, what a nice surprise, having you and your mother visit me at the same time. I love that.
Victoria: When katie heard that we had a business meeting, she insisted on coming back to play with her new friend?
Victor: Oh, yeah, yeah. Our imaginary friend. She and I discussed that last night, didn't we?
Katie: He's real and pretend.
Victor: Oh, yes. Well, I suggest you to try to find him now, okay? And your mother and I have some business to discuss.& All right? You run along. You know, last night, I found her in the corner. She was talking to someone as if someone was actually there. Reminds me of you when you were young.
Victoria: I had an imaginary friend?
Victor: People talking to someone, you know, in an imaginary way is a sign of intelligence.
Victoria: Ahh! Well, shall we get down to it?
Victor: Yes.
Victoria: We have a lot of ground to cover.
Victor: Let's do that now. Before we do, there's something important that I would like to ask you.
Kyle: Opening a restaurant is a very big deal. Just figured I'd take a chance, you might have a couple hours free. And all this hard work is gonna be paying off when people are lining the block to taste your cooking. I'll miss you more. No, I'll miss you more. Babe, I got to go. Somebody just walked in. You, too. Bye. Hey.
Summer: Hey.
Kyle: I thought you were in dubai.
Summer: I was, and now I'm here. There's this new invention called air travel.
Kyle: I see.
Summer: You didn't have to get off the phone on my account.
Kyle: You never mentioned you were coming to town.
Summer: No, it was just a spur-of-the-moment thing.
Kyle: Well, your mom's working from home today, if that's who you're looking for.
Summer: I came here to see you. We need to clear the air.
Kerry: What is this, a booty call in the middle of a work day? It's very sexy.
Jack: We need to have a serious talk.
Kerry: Okay.
Jack: Sit down. Please. I know I've told you that over the years, I have enjoyed the company of some pretty amazing women. Friends, girlfriends, lovers, wives -- I guess I've had more than my share of those. I've also told you that some of them ended in disaster.
Kerry: Well, good thing that's not gonna happen with us. We're having too much fun.
Jack: I want you to know where this is coming from. I haven't always been 100% honest in those relationships and, in turn, I've been lied to. Doesn't matter which side did it. Someone always gets hurt. Honesty is key. That's why I was so upset when i thought you'd been dishonest with me.
Kerry: Jack, I thought i explained all of that.
Jack: You did, smooth as silk. But I still had this nagging feeling there was something you were keeping from me. Now I know that's true.
Phyllis: Hey, nick. It's me. I was hoping that we could chat this morning, but you took off pretty early. Anyway, um, I really appreciate the way you stood up for me yesterday. I didn't frame victor. And that really meant a lot to me to hear you belive that. I know that you still have some issues with the way I handled things, but I'm actually working from home today, so, you know, in case you want to come home early and we can talk this out... if not, I guess I'll see you tonight. Okay. Bye.
Sharon: Why are we even having this conversation?
Nick: I want to hear you justify what you did.
Sharon: You know why I did it. Your mother killed J.T. I was protecting her.
Nick: From me?
Sharon: We all agreed -- the fewer people who knew about it, the better.& It was a group decision. Why are you focusing on me? Have you confronted nikki about this or victoria? No, I'm sure you haven't, and I'm sure you also won't go after phyllis because you're living with her now. The reason that you're treating me this way is because, with me, you have nothing to lose.
Nick: Don't psychoanalyze me.
Sharon: You explain how it makes sense to blame me more than anyone else.
Nick: Because you were the one I thought I could trust the most.

Mia: "Congratulations!" "You two look amazing together." "Aww, I love how in love you two look!" Ick. "Whoa, man, moving up in life!"
[ Scoffs ] "Abby newman wants a lap dog, not a husband. Are you that hard up for cash, arturo? A real man like you deserves a real woman. One who's not obsessed with a mirror."
[ Doorbell rings ]
[ Sighs ]
Abby: Surprise!
Mia: [ Chuckles ]
Kyle: So, what's this about clearing the air? I thought we were in a good place.
Summer: Oh, well, as long as I am 7,000 miles away, then that's a "good place" for me to be, right?
Kyle: Wrong.
Summer: Well, I was kidding.
Kyle: Mm-hmm.
Summer: Sort of. Um, I mean, you did strongly encourage me to accept that job offer from my grandfather.
Kyle: Because it was a fantastic opportunity and because you needed a change. That wasn't me trying to get rid of you, summer.
Summer: I knew I was putting a lot of pressure on you to give me a second chance, and, uh, now that I look back, I'M... embarrassed. It was so not cool, and, uh, you won't have to worry about me doing that anymore.
Kyle: Let me guess -- you've got a new boyfriend.
Summer: No, just a new outlook.
Kyle: Uh-huh.
Summer: And you were right about dubai being a good opportunity. And not just for my career. You know, when grandpa didn't show up, it basically meant that I was completely on my own, which could have been a disaster if I decided to blow it all off and just party. And the old summer, she would have dived right in, but i figured that this was my opportunity to prove myself. You know, to my grandfather, to my parents, to myself, and... even to you. So I buckled down and I did the work.
Kyle: And how'd that go?
Summer: You know, kicking butt in business is way better than any party -- who knew?
Kyle: Hmm. The newman in you has finally taken over.
Summer: Mm.
Kyle: Look out, world.
Summer: You know, I think i owe you one for nudging me to accept that job offer. I mean, it was more like a shove, really, but...
Kyle: Yeah.
Summer: I think it's what i needed, to get on that plane, and I'm -- I'm really happy that I did.
Kyle: I'm glad it worked out so well. I know you would have blamed me if it hadn'T.
Summer: Oh! Um, yeah, I would like to tell you all about it. Are you free for dinner?
Sharon: You have no idea how desperately I wanted to come to you and tell you everything.
Nick: Why didn't you?
Sharon: I almost did, right before the wedding. I decided I could not get into a marriage with this big of a secret between us.
Nick: Why didn't you follow through?
Sharon: Why do you think? When the others found out what i was planning, they hit the ceiling. Kept telling me that I was making a terrible mistake. They were relentless. My entire bachelorette party was about them hammering away at me until I caved.
Nick: I was there part of the night. I can't believe I didn't pick up on any of that tension.
Sharon: Well, it was a weird night all-around.
Nick: Yeah, it was. I mean, you weren't the only one keeping a secret. I had one that was eating away at me.
Sharon: Phyllis?
Nick: That's the night i almost confessed to you.
Kerry: Look, if you're about to make some dire accusation about me --
Jack: No, no, no, actually, it's the opposite. I -- I need to make a confession of my own.
Kerry: Oh, the kind that's good for the soul?
Jack: I was so concerned about whatever it was you were keeping from me that I did something I'm not proud of.
Kerry: Did you have me investigated?
Jack: I looked in your purse.
Kerry: Is this what has so worried?
Jack: I am sorry. It was an invasion of privacy. If you have serious health concerns and you don't want to share it...
Kerry: [ Laughs ] No, sorry.
Mia: So, what's the occasion?
Abby: Consider it a belated wedding gift. And an apology.
Mia: Whatever for?
Abby: When you and rey renewed your vows, it was supposed to be your special day. I had no idea arturo was going to steal your thunder.
Mia: Men... what do they know, huh?
Abby: Right? [ Laughs ] I mean, arturo and I, we had never even talked about getting engaged, let alone when or how it would happen. I think he just got swept up in the moment, and I can only imagine how you felt, having your incredibly romantic day stepped on by someone else's proposal, and I can understand why you would be upset about that.
Mia: Who said I was upset?
Abby: Well, you did, when you had too much to drink and insulted me. Yeah, my first reaction was to say, "wow, what the hell is her problem?" And to tell you off right then and there. But then I thought, you and I, we could just keep going back and forth like this forever. And both sides of my family have always been feuding, and it's horrible and exhausting, and i don't want to start my new family that way. So I came here to make amends and start fresh, so... what do you say about that?
Jack: It's not medicine.
Kerry: Mm, it was prescribed to me by a doctor, but I'm not sick, and there is nothing to worry about, and that is as much as you need to know.
Jack: Look, if you're diabetic, if you need insulin...
Kerry: I'm not.
Jack: Okay.
Kerry: I'm also not comfortable saying any more. It's personal, jack.
Jack: I understand.
Kerry: I'm a little taken aback. You were rummaging around in my purse...
Jack: I wasn't rummaging. Your purse was open, I looked inside, but ever since I saw that damn syringe...
Kerry: Your imagination's been running wild.
Jack: I have been concerned. Be honest with me. When you told me you were at traffic court, you were really at a doctor's appointment, weren't you?
Kerry: Yes.
Jack: Yeah. Yeah.
Kerry: I can see you're disappointed with me.
Jack: Wouldn't you be in my shoes?
Kerry: Jack, I promise you, I will tell you the whole story in time.
Jack: Why are you holding back? Is there methadone in that syringe? Are you in recovery?
Kerry: What? No! You think -- oh, my god. I'm not an addict, jack.
Jack: Don't you know there is nothing you could tell me that would make me think less of you.
Kerry: All right! Okay! Here it is, the naked truth. I've been giving myself hormone injections.
Jack: Why -- why would you need hormone injections?
Kerry: I'm getting ready to freeze my eggs.
Victoria: That's everything on my end. Any questions?
Victor: Unh-unh. None. I got to tell you that you performed brilliantly during my absence. I couldn't be more proud of you.
Victoria: Thank you.
Victor: Now, I think that warrants that I send you and the children on a well-deserved vacation.
Victoria: [ Laughs ] Now?
Victor: Yeah.
Victoria: No, that's not happening.
Victor: Why?
Victoria: Not with you under house arrest and facing murder charges.
Victor: Oh.
Victoria: It's simply not a good time to get away, and newman's outside business partners are feeling a little anxious. I've been doing my best to reassure them.
Victor: By the way you have performed brilliantly while i was gone, okay? That's what I want to talk to you about.
Victoria: Okay. You have my full attention.
Victor: [ Sighs ] Now that most of the world is informed about the fact that i was arrested and I have house arrest, I want you to take over my position. I want you to do all the negotiating with international groups, due all the pr work, and I want you to give everyone the impression that our company is under top leadership.
Victoria: Dad, the role that you're describing is enormously time-consuming with a lot of overseas travel.
Victor: So?
Victoria: Ordinarily, I would say nothing, but when they almost lost their grandmother and no one could locate you for months, the kids were shaken up.
Victor: Oh, gotcha.
Victoria: For their mother to be gone for long periods of time might be a little rough on them.
Victor: That makes me sad, to be honest with you. But you know that trips are gonna be very short, and how wonderful, your mother and I can watch out for the kids.
Victoria: All right. We'll figure out a way to work it out. And hopefully the charges will be dropped against you soon, and you can return to newman. In the meantime, I'm willing to step in.
Victor: That is the answer i wanted to hear.
Kyle: [ Groans ] That's some serious jet lag.
Summer: No, no, I'm fine. Actually, I'll just stop at crimson lights and get a triple espresso on our way to dinner.
Kyle: About that... I don't know if it's a good idea.
Summer: Why not? It's just two old friends catching up.
Kyle: Eh, it wouldn't be appropriate, summer.
Summer: Your call.
Kyle: Not gonna goad me into it, flirt with me shamelessly, make fun of me...?
Summer: Ah, no. This is the new and improved summer newman who respects the boundaries that you are setting.
Kyle: Okay.
Summer: Uh, anyway, I hope i get to see you before I go back to dubai, so... I'll just say goodbye now. Which, um, are hugs on the "appropriate" list? Because I don't want to cross any lines.
Kyle: You have my permission.
Summer: Okay.
Kyle: This time.
Mia: Hot tea for a cold day?
Abby: Oh. Thank you.
Mia: Mm-hmm. So... apologies. Sounds like I owe you one.
Abby: Ah, I understood.
Mia: It bothered me that arturo hijacked our ceremony, but I shouldn't have taken that out on you, okay? Arturo can be so reckless sometimes, impulsive. It's what makes me appreciate rey even more, you know? He's a man who considers other people's feelings, you know?
Abby: Yeah, um, rey seems like a wonderful guy.
Mia: [ Chuckles ]
Abby: Very patient.
Mia: He'd have to be, right?
Abby: I hope that you can, uh, forgive arturo. I think he just got swept up in the moment. Understandable, since it's the first time he's ever really been in love.
Mia: [ Chuckles ] Is that what he told you?
Abby: Yes, it is.
Mia: I am sorry for the mean things I said at your engagement party.
Abby: It's no big deal.
Mia: That awful crack I made about your wardrobe -- oh, I'm so sorry.
[ Sighs ]
Abby: Well, you didn't actually say anything about that, but, um...
Mia: Oh, I didn't? Oh, well, then, phew!
[ Laughs ]
Abby: You know, I think I owe you an apology, too.
Mia: Sorry, for what?
Abby: Sitting here talking to you, it just makes me realize that I have a lot more to be sorry for.
Mia: Such as?
Abby: I have spent so much time feeling insecure and threatened by your relationship with arturo. I realized that it's just -- it's so silly. What you two had, it's ancient history. My fiancé has put it in his past, obviously.
[ Chuckles ]
Mia: [ Chuckles ]
Abby: So we should, too.
Nick: I came so close to telling you about phyllis. Spending the night with her... but, in the end, I figured...
Sharon: What I didn't know wouldn't hurt me?
Nick: That I'd lose you. And I was right.
Sharon: It's telling, isn't it? Here we both had these enormous secrets right before we were gonna get married, and even though we both knew it was wrong... we couldn't bring ourselves to trust each other and be honest with each other. It just proves that neither of us were ready for that kind of commitment.
Nick: If you didn't have your secret, then I never would have had mine.
Sharon: What are you saying?
Nick: I'm talking about that night you took off your ring and left it for me to find.
Sharon: Nick, I told you that wasn't my intent.
Nick: Then why didn't you put it in, like, your jewelry box or a purse or something? Instead, you left it right where you knew I would find it. Now, maybe it was unconscious on your part, but you were sending me a message, and, at the same time, you didn't tell me the real reason why you were so upset about me pretending to be J.T.
Sharon: Okay, I hope you're not about to say it's my fault you slept with phyllis.
Nick: No, of course not. That's on me, but... if you just would have come to me instead of covering for everyone else, things would be very different right now.
Sharon: Do you think we'd still be together?
Nick: Don't you?
"The young and the restless"
will continue.
Kerry: Well, what are we gonna do with all this time you had blocked off for this serious conversation, now that we know I'm not deathly ill?
Jack: Please don't make light of this.
Kerry: I didn't know I was.
Jack: We need to talk about what you just told me.
Kerry: You may need to.
Jack: No, we need to. It's important. For us.
Kerry: I think it's way too early for the subject to even come up for us.
Jack: But it's not too early to talk about the idea of having a child.
Kerry: The idea of allowing myself the possibility of having -- you know what, no, I'm not gonna do this with you.
Jack: Wait, I'm not trying to pry here.
Kerry: Can I be very clear about something, jack? I started this process before you and I even became an item. It's not so much about making a decision as it is about postponing one. So I can just continue my life the way it is, focus on my work, enjoy my time with you. Not worry about what I may or may not want to do years from now.
Jack: And you think there's a good chance your priorities might change?
Kerry: They might, but they might not. I don't know, I have no clue. I'm just giving myself the option. That is it. I'm also not asking for a single thing from you.
Jack: Okay, look, I am not a stranger to this completely. There was a time I had a cancer scare, and I had to decide to freeze my sperm.
Kerry: Wow. You have had an interesting life.
Jack: It was a long time ago. I was in a very different place. No, my point in telling you all of this is it is a decision that I considered very carefully. No, I did not have the doctor's visits, I didn't have the painful injections, but it was not a decision I made lightly. I made it because I thought... some part of me thought that i might want to have another kid one day. That's the only reason to go through that exercise.
Kerry: Thank you for sharing that with me. But I still don't feel that this should be even the tiniest blip on our radar as a couple.
Jack: I can't put this in a box and forget about it the way you obviously can. I didn't know having a child was important to you. I just assumed -- you know what, I shouldn't have assumed. Kerry, this is a lot to think about.
Kerry: [ Sighs ]
Sharon: It's not okay for you to come here and say had i broken my promise with nikki and the others that we would still be together. I mean, first of all, that was then, and there was a lot of upheaval, and it's impossible for you to say how you would have reacted. And secondly, all couples have problems. What matters is how the two people involved handle them. And you handled yours by turning to phyllis. Okay, maybe it's true. If you had known the whole J.T. Story at the time... maybe you wouldn't have run to her that night. Maybe you and I would have gotten married. But eventually, you would have ended up in her because it's what you always do.
Nick: I don't think you can say that.
Sharon: You're going to stand here and claim that you didn't have any unresolved feelings for phyllis, even though you're living with her right now, and she's helping raise christian.
Nick: Why are we even arguing about this? It's obvious we're not gonna be able to fix it.
Sharon: Look, I know that you've had to take in a lot of new information, and maybe that's got you rethinking a few things. But I came to terms with my decisions a long time ago. And maybe I didn't do everything right, and maybe I'm not entirely happy with the outcome, but... I'm not interested in second-guessing myself or wallowing around in regret. So if that's the position you're in, I don't think I can help you. Maybe you should ask your girlfriend and see what she has to say. Unless phyllis is one of your regrets.
Victor: Why did no one tell me that you were coming home?
Summer: Uh, no, nobody knew, I just -- I heard that you were arrested, and I had to see for myself that you're okay.
Victor: Oh. Yeah, that's an unfortunate situation, however, michael baldwin will solve that problem in no time at all.
Victoria: Summer! Hi!
Summer: Hi!
Victoria: When did you get in?
Summer: Oh, just this morning.
Victoria: Oh, welcome home!
Summer: Hi! Thank you!
Victoria: Mmm!
Summer: Thank you. It's good to be home.
Victoria: Dad and I were just discussing how proud we are of what you've accomplished in dubai.
Summer: Thank you. Thanks.
Victor: Yeah.
Summer: I mean, I didn't really work solo. Grandma gave me a lot of advice and support. I mean, before her accident, anyway, which... have the police figured out who ran her down?
Victor: No.
Victoria: No, they haven'T.
Summer: Wow, seriously? They haven't arrested anybody?
Victor: Must have been difficult for you to wonder about whether your grandmother would pull through or not while you were far away.
Summer: It was terrible. I was so relieved when dad finally got word to me that she was out of the hospital and at home.
Victor: I know. You know how happy she would be to know that you're here? Hmm? Come here.
Summer: Mmm!
Victor: She will not allow me to send you away again, i promise you. Wait a minute.
Summer: Hmm?
Victor: I have an idea. So that victoria's not overwhelmed taking over for me, I will ask summer to assist you. Daddy diaper duty...
Mia: I was thinking we could go through these and pull out some things for your wedding.
Abby: Wow, that's a lot of bridal magazines.
Mia: Oh, well, I do hair and makeup for a living. And weddings are my specialty. Of course, I'll do yours at no charge.
Abby: That is so sweet, but i do have my own stylist that would just be crushed if i didn't use them.
Mia: Oh, well, I hope you will at least let me show you what I can do. I know you'll love it. And did you see the pictures of lola and kyle on their date the other night?
Abby: I did. She looked wonderful.
Mia: Well, in that case, i need to pluck you in my chair, okay? Give you a little sneak peak.
Abby: That is so kind of you to offer, but, uh...
Mia: No, I insist. Come on. Go at the desk, let me work my magic on you.
Abby: Uh...
Mia: Come on, come on.
Abby: Yeah!
[ Laughs ] Sure, why not? Yeah, that should be so much fun.
Mia: Of course.
Abby: Yeah. Okay.
Mia: Let me get my stuff. Oh, I just love doing this. Here we go. It's ready here. Oh! Brilliant. Okay. So, I was thinking... you could do maybe something like this hair-wise. This will be great for, like, maybe a rehearsal dinner or, you know, you're going away send-off. Something very simple and chic.
Abby: [ Sighs ]
Mia: Ooh, you know what, with the shape of your face...
Abby: [ Chuckles ]
Mia: I almost want to see a deep side part with, you know, rolling waves over one shoulder with little rosebuds woven in between.
Abby: Mm, like a "naked heiress" revival.
Mia: [ Laughs ] The lady godiva thing? Save that for your honeymoon.
[ Laughter ] Are you wearing a veil?
Abby: Well, it is my second marriage, so, um...
Mia: Aww, not so demure, eh?
Abby: Not quite.
Mia: Oh.
Abby: But, yeah, maybe -- maybe we could just keep it parted in the center, and then still do the side-swipe thing...
Mia: Yes! That would absolutely be stunning, you know? With or without the rosebuds in between. Oh, but you know what? You need a trim, baby. Why don't I do that for you? Nothing major, just -- why don't I take care of that for you, huh?
Victoria: Summer has done a fabulous job in dubai. It would be a shame to pull her off of that fun assignment and throw her into the pressure cooker here. I would have all the visibility, and she would be hidden, and she deserves to be in the spotlight.
Victor: Well, should we ask summer? Do you want to continue working over there? Or would you rather come here and try something new?
Summer: [ Sighs ] Uh, well... uh, it was an experience, really.
Victor: Uh-huh, I bet.
Summer: But I think I'm ready to come home.
Victor: Oh, yeah? I'd love that. Come here.
Summer: Yeah.
Victor: That's what I wanted to hear. Yes. We're all gonna work on restoring our reputation. Sweetheart?
Phyllis: Hi.
Nick: Hey.
Phyllis: You got my message. I'm glad you -- I'm glad you came home.
Nick: You're right, there are some things that need to be said.
Phyllis: Last night, when i was in the, uh, guest bedroom, awake, I was hoping that you would come to talk to me. Should I have come to you?
Nick: I needed some time, you know, to think about everything I've learned the past few days.
Phyllis: Yeah, it's been a lot.
Nick: You know, mom, vick, you, and sharon, I feel like...
[ Sighs ] I feel like I know the four of you about as well as anyone could. When I think about this past year and all the lies that you all have told me... I realize that every decision I've made has pretty much been in the dark. Then I start to think about the what-ifs, you know, the ways that things could have been different if you had just... clued me in on this from the very beginning.
Phyllis: It's been hell, keeping this quiet. You know, just dealing with the police investigation and the threats and the extortion.
Nick: Then another thought occurred to me. What if you had left the girls' night early? Or didn't go at all? I know that vick must have been in shock with J.T. Showed up there to attack her, and I know my mom didn't mean to kill J.T., So she must have been really freaked out, too.
Phyllis: She was. I mean, it was surreal.
Nick: Well, what if they hadn't had someone as fierce, as tough as you to lead the charge? Phyllis, I can't fault you for what you did that night because I know that if I had been there, I would have done the same thing. To hell with the rules, you were taking care of business. And when I think about what could have gone down that night... if you hadn't done what you did... my mom, my sister, faith's mother, they could all be in prison right now if you weren't there. So my overwhelming feeling for you is... of gratitude. And love.
Phyllis: Thank you. Thank you.
Nick: I love you. I have some regrets about the way we got together, but I do not not regret, at all, that we are together.
Phyllis: [ Laughs ] Thank you.
Summer: Okay! My virgin eyes.
Nick: Hey.
Phyllis: Summer!
Summer: Hi.
Nick: What -- where'd you come from?
Summer: Mm, your front door.
Phyllis: Well, we did not have an idea that you were due back from the middle east.
Summer: Yeah, no, I timed it especially so I could walk in on you getting frisky. It's kind of become our tradition.
Phyllis: Well, we're excited to have you here. Believe me, we are. But next time, maybe a phone call, maybe a knock.
Summer: Yeah, that might be a little cumbersome since I'm moving in. But maybe we could just compromise and you guys could be a little bit more discrete.
Nick: You're moving in?
Phyllis: When was this decided?
Nick: Why not your condo? I mean, you don't want to stay there?
Summer: Uh, no, because when I went to dubai, I sublet it. This was supposed to be a quick trip, but grandpa decided to transfer me back to genoa city. Which is cool, right? I mean, you and mom are always talking about how much you miss me, so I knew you'd be thrilled when I decided to stay here with you.
Nick: Mm-hmm.
Kerry: Sorry about the interruption, but, as i mentioned, these injections have to happen on a very strict schedule.
Jack: Kerry --
Kerry: I can already tell you're not gonna like what i have to say. This does not have to be a big deal for us, jack.
Jack: I hear you minimizing this, but I see the effort and expense you're going through to harvest and freeze your eggs, all the thought that must have gone into that, and I have to assume that it's pretty important for you to be a mother someday.
Kerry: There you go. Assuming again.
Jack: Am I wrong?
Kerry: If I said yes, would you believe me?
Jack: Look, this is your life, your decision. I respect that. But you and I are in a very different place. My kids are grown. Seems like we have different goals.
Kerry: No. Not necessarily. Definitely not in the short-term.
Jack: As much as I hate saying this... maybe you're with the wrong guy.
Victoria: Katie, let's go! You don't want to be late for your party!
Victor: Katie? Where is she?
Victoria: I don't know, maybe she's watching a movie.
Victor: Let's take a look. Katie?
Victoria: Katie, where are you?
Katie: Shh! I won't tell.
Victoria: There you are!
Victor: There you are.
Victoria: Let's scoot. Come on.
Victor: We've been looking all over for you.
Victoria: Ready?
Mia: There's not a lot of, like, plunging backs and a lot less skin.
Mia: Mm.
Abby: Everything okay?
Mia: Sure! Yeah! Sorry. I just got distracted there for a second, but, um, hey, I'm all done.
Abby: Well, great, um, i should, uh -- I should really get going.
Mia: Yes, here, let me get that for you.
Abby: But, hey, I'm glad that we had this visit. I think it's important for you and I to make peace. It's important for the family.
Mia: Absolutely.
Abby: Okay, great, uh...
Mia: Yeah! [ Laughs ]
Abby: Well, um, enjoy your flowers and the rest of your day.
Mia: Thank you. All right, well, thank you so much, again. That was such a sweet gesture and, yeah, um, take care, love.
Abby: I'll see ya.
Mia: See ya.
