Mariah: Who?

Devon: That would be me.

Hilary: We have come full circle. Welcome to the next era of "the hilary hour."

Ashley: I am no longer with jabot.

Lily: What?

Ashley: And there is an offer on the table to join newman enterprises.

Ravi: Found a mirror site designed to look like the chelsea 2.0 section of fenmore'S.

Lauren: Mirror site?

Ravi: It's a fraud. So far, all I found copied is the chelsea 2.0 division. It's not brand-wide.

Phyllis: You need to fix this now.

Lauren: And we need to warn chelsea.

[ Music playing ]

Cane: Bonjour.

Lily: [ Laughs ] When did you do this?

Cane: I, uh, you know, created our own mini version of paris. I know it's not an original idea, but...

Lily: It's just like what i did for you years ago.

Cane: Yeah. I think we need to reconnect.

Lily: Ohh.

Ashley: Hey, lily. It's ashley. I --

[ Cellphone beeps ] Hold on a second. I'm sorry. I've got another call coming in. Call me back as soon as you get this. Nikki?

Nikki: Ashley! I'm so glad I could reach you. Has your morning been as hectic as mine?

Ashley: Uh, it's starting to get that way.

Nikki: I won't keep you, then. Um, I was hoping -- could we make time for a chat?

Ashley: What do you want to talk about?

Nikki: I think it's best for us to wait until we're face-to-face for that. Where are you right now?

Ashley: I'm at the club.

Nikki: Between meetings?

Ashley: For now.

Nikki: Great. I'll meet you there within the hour.

Ashley: Well, wait. What do you want to talk about?

J.T.: Hey, hurry up!

Reed: [ Muffled ] I'm ready. I just need my english book.

J.T.: Aw, cookies for breakfast? Really?

Reed: Come on. I'm fine. Mom's out of town, and the kids are over at billy'S. I don't need some big meal.

J.T.: That is so not the point.

Reed: Well, if someone might have not slept in and gotten me up on time...

J.T.: You know, you're 16 years old -- plenty capable of setting your own alarm clock. And your book's in your room. You said you had english homework last night?

Reed: No, it's at school.

J.T.: What, so you didn't do your homework?

Reed: No. I left it there because I was planning doing it during my free period, okay? Relax.

J.T.: Would you be giving your mom this attitude if she were here?

Reed: Whatever. I'll see you later.

J.T.: No, no, no, no. We're not finished. Come back.

Nick: For you.

Chelsea: Ahh. You are a lifesaver.

Nick: Also for you.

Chelsea: Mm. Oh, what was that for?

Nick: That was for an amazing day yesterday. And this... ...was for last night.

Chelsea: [ Chuckles ] Oh. Well, I should give you presents more often.

Nick: No, you don't need to.

Chelsea: [ Sighs ] Are you gonna lecture me again?

Nick: Well, that depends. Did you bank the rest of that secret stash that we talked about?

Chelsea: The money is safe and sound, I promise.

Nick: Well, good. 'Cause I just want to make sure that --

[ Doorbell rings ]

Chelsea: Oh. I wonder who that could be? Excuse me.

Phyllis: I've been trying to reach you.

Chelsea: Really? What... what's going on?

Phyllis: Trouble.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Mariah: Hey. So, do I have to call you mr. Hamilton now?

Devon: Considering we've both seen each other naked, I'm thinking probably not.

Mariah: [ Scoffs ] So...nothing changes now that I'm back to being your employee?

Devon: Well, actually, there is something that I'd like you to do this morning.

Mariah: Uh-oh. What, do you want me to fetch your dry-cleaning? Wash your car?

Devon: No. I would like you to come by the office.

Mariah: That's it?

Devon: Yeah. Um... since gc buzz is now part of the hamilton-winters family, I, uh -- I want to gather everyone to have a little "get to know your fellow employees" meet-and-greet.

Mariah: Oh. Um... you know, I would, but I'm super, super busy right now. And wouldn't you rather I be working at my desk, being productive, rather than sitting around chatting with a bunch of people that I'll meet whenever?

Devon: Listen, I know that networking with strangers is the last thing you'd like to do.

Mariah: So you'll understand if I miss it.

Devon: No, because this is not a request.

Mariah: That's just mean.

Devon: Stop rolling your eyes and get over here, please.

Mariah: Yes, boss. [ Sighs ]

[ Clicking tongue ]

Phyllis: Your business has been the target of a scam. Someone created a copycat website of the chelsea 2.0 section of fenmore's online store, and customers thinking they're buying from fenmore's were, in reality, buying merchandise from an unknown entity.

Chelsea: So, someone is out there on your site selling cheap knock-offs of my designs?

Phyllis: Well, that's one problem we don't have. The clothes were real that were sold. Can -- can we sit to...?

Chelsea: Of course. I'm sorry. Yeah, please.

Nick: Uh, do you want some coffee or...?

Phyllis: No, thank you. Actually, hilary is the one who made us aware of the problem.

Chelsea: How'd that happen?

Phyllis: She bought a chelsea 2.0 online, and when she had her assistant bring it into fenmore's to make an exchange, they couldn't find the receipt for the online purchase.

Chelsea: [ Sighs ]

Nick: 'Cause they bought it off the bogus site. I've heard about this sort of thing.

Phyllis: Well, now that we know what we're dealing with, we took a good long hard look at hilary's outfit, and it's the real deal. It's an authentic chelsea 2.0.

Chelsea: With the original "exclusively for fenmore's" tag on it?

Phyllis: It's not a fake one.

Nick: Which means it has to be an inside job.

Phyllis: We think it's someone in the distribution chain stealing some of the stock and, you know, selling it on the fake site.

Chelsea: So, what is fenmore's gonna do about this?

Phyllis: Well, for starters, we have had the fake site shut down.

Chelsea: Yeah, but can't somebody just create a new site?

Phyllis: Ravi warned us that crooks usually open another site pretty quickly.

Nick: So, how are you gonna stop them?

Phyllis: Fenmore's is implementing a full investigation to expose whoever is behind this. And they will be punished to the full extent of the law.

Chelsea: Well, that's if you can track them down.

Phyllis: We will. I promise you that.

Chelsea: [ Sighs ] Okay. Well, um, can you promise to keep me posted along the way? Good news or bad news, you have to tell me immediately, okay?

Phyllis: Absolutely. You know, chelsea, try not to worry about this. Now that we know what's going on, it won't be long before we catch the bad guys and have them arrested, okay?

Chelsea: All right. Thank you, phyllis. And I appreciate you coming to tell me in person.

Phyllis: Absolutely. Okay.

Nick: I'm sorry.

Cane: And your menu, madam.

Lily: [ Chuckles ] Wow! How did you manage to put this together while I was getting dressed?

Cane: Well, I actually managed to have mattie's help with the menu.

Lily: Wait, our daughter helped you?

Cane: Shocking, isn't it?

Lily: [ Scoffs ] Ooh.

Cane: Now, is there anything else I can do for you, madam?

Lily: Why don't you join me?

Cane: I would love to.

Lily: [ Chuckles ] This is very, very thoughtful of you.

Cane: You know what I was thinking? I've cleared my schedule for the day, and mattie and charlie are at school, and bridgette has sam for most of the day. So, if you have time...

Lily: For?

Cane: More surprises.

Lily: Plural?

Cane: Plural.

Lily: How many?

Cane: Well, that depends if you have to go to work or not.

Lily: Hmm. I could probably do some clearing of my own.

Cane: Really?

Lily: Yeah. With victoria out of town, I don't have much scheduled, so I'm sure no one will mind if I'm not in the office today.

Cane: Are you positive?

Lily: I'm all yours.

J.T.: Reed, this is about respect.

Reed: [ Scoffs ] That's pretty funny coming from you.

J.T.: What's that supposed to mean?

Reed: You don't respect me.

J.T.: That's not true.

Reed: Then how come you guys moved in together without talking to me about it first?

J.T.: We figured you'd be happy that we're going back to being a real family.

Reed: You act like that's something that I had and then lost. I don't even remember you guys together. You got divorced when I was a kid. The only real family I remember in this house had billy in it.

J.T.: You're pissed that we didn't consult you about this?

Reed: What's ticking me off is the fact that you're pretending that any of this is normal -- which none of it is. Not for me.

J.T.: All right. We can work on that, okay?

Reed: Yeah. Sure we can. Um... now, unless you're suddenly cool with me being late for school, can I -- can I go?

J.T.: Yeah, go. Go ahead. Have a good day.

[ Sighs ]

[ Sighs ] God! Hey. I thought the plan was for you to check in this morning, all right? I hope your trip's going well, but call me as soon as you get this. Hot pockets.

Lily: Wow. Compliments to the chef/waiter. Glorious way to start the day.

Cane: Yeah, we lucked out. It's not often we get a quiet morning around here, huh?

Lily: [ Chuckles ] Quiet, in this house? That's an urban myth.

Cane: Yeah, with two teenagers and a baby.

Lily: Well, I'm gonna get another cup of that coffee.

Cane: Hey, don't do that. Don't go. Don't go, sweetheart. Stay and talk to me.

Lily: What, are you worried about how I am relating to sam?

Cane: Should I be?

Lily: No. I mean... it's true that when I look at him, I can't help but think how he came into our lives. But, you know, he's an innocent baby, and... I try. But I can't really help how I feel.

Cane: Listen, all I want is for you to be honest with me, and just -- just tell me what you need.

Lily: I will. But you also do a really good job of figuring that out yourself.

Cane: I do, huh?

Lily: Mm-hmm. 'Cause being here with you is perfect.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Cane: [ Sighs ]

Lily: It's okay. Answer it.

Cane: [ Sighs ] Hey, uh, J.T. Listen, uh, it's not a good time right now.

J.T.: I just wanted to let you know I completed my assignment.

Cane: That's great. In record time.

J.T.: Yeah. I was hoping we could meet. I'll give you the final report, and then we can discuss what's next for me.

Cane: Ngh... yeah, I-I can't really meet you. Um, can you maybe talk to billy? You know, he could maybe give you something else you can do.

J.T.: I'd rather work with you. Billy doesn't take my work at chancellor seriously, and he's not plugged in like you are.

Cane: Listen, we're gonna have to table this and deal with it later in the week, all right, 'cause I have to go.

Lily: Well, you didn't have to cut the guy off like that.

Cane: Yeah, I did.

Phyllis: Looks like you're gonna burn a hole through that thing.

J.T.: Yeah, isn't that the way it works? You stare at it long enough, it rings?

Phyllis: Work front or home front?

J.T.: Both. Not feeling the whole job satisfaction at the moment.

Phyllis: And?

J.T.: And reed and i got into it -- again.

Phyllis: And?

J.T.: [ Chuckles ] You're good, yeah. And, um, I can't get ahold of victoria. You ever have one of those days where you feel like the world is just conspiring against you?

Phyllis: Those days and i have a close, time-honored rapport, yes.

J.T.: Oh. So how's your morning been?

Phyllis: Better than yours.

[ Chuckles ] But give me a few hours. You know, we don't know each other very well, but we have some common interests. If you ever need a friendly ear, I have one to offer.

Tessa: This is for you.

Devon: Thanks. Hey! I am glad that you could make it.

Mariah: Well, I didn't have much of a choice.

Tessa: Uh, do you want me to reach out to the rest of the staff and see what's holding them up?

Devon: I don'T. Because no one else is coming. This meeting is just for the two of you.

Tessa: Did you set us up?

Mariah: You tricked us.

Devon: Call it bringing you guys together.

Mariah: I didn't ask you to --

Devon: I know. I know. Um... but there's too much tension between the two of you, and it's palpable from the second you guys step in the room together.

Mariah: Then I'll leave. I'll leave the room.

Devon: No, no, no, no. You're gonna stay. I want you both to stay. All right? I don't want this kind of vibe in the office. And as your friend, I really want to see you guys work this out, for your own sakes.

Mariah: Devon, after what she did --

Devon: I know there's a lot of hurt. I really do. But it's gonna continue hurting if you don't figure out how to get through this. So take this time and talk to each other. Really talk.

Tessa: With you as a referee?

Devon: No. No, not at all. I have a meeting to get to. So you guys can have this whole office to yourselves. All right? Fix this.

Tessa: [ Sighs ]

Mariah: Well. Got to give devon an "a" for interference, but, uh...

Tessa: Afraid to stay? I mean, might as well. We can't run away from each other forever.

Lily: Hello.

Ashley: Hi! How are you doing?

Lily: I'm good. Cane's treating me to a spa day.

Ashley: Nice. Relaxing.

Lily: Yes, very. But how are you, though?

Ashley: I'm great. Did you get my message?

Lily: Uh, I did not. What -- what did it say?

Ashley: Have a sat. So... I finalized my deal with newman.

Lily: [ Gasps ] Congratulations!

Ashley: Thank you.

Lily: Well, you know that i would love to be a part of your team.

Ashley: I'm gonna make that happen.

Lily: Okay.

Ashley: It's imperative that I surround myself with people that I can trust and rely on.

Lily: You can rely on me. Definitely.

Ashley: Great.

Lily: So, will your new title be chief innovation officer?

Ashley: Yes. And victor signed off on every single one of my requests. I'm going to be overseeing several divisions... including brash & sassy.

Lily: Wow. How did victoria react to that?

Ashley: Yeah, not so great. Obviously.

Lily: Well, I'm surprised that newman tower is still standing after that shock wave.

Ashley: This is just the beginning. I'm making radical changes to brash & sassy. In fact, I'm going to expand the entire cosmetics division. This isn't just about forging an entity to rival our competitors. I want to blow them away.

Lily: Like jabot.

Ashley: No. I don't want to destroy my family's company. I mean, my father founded it. I still have a stake in it. But I want the world to know what I'm capable of. And I want everyone to see what jack lost when he let me walk away.

Lily: So, this goes beyond business.

Ashley: I have a hell of a lot to prove. Doesn't get that much more personal than that.

J.T.: So, the actual break between mac and me was a long time coming. But now that it's happened, I realize it's for the best. Except another divorce...

[ Both chuckle ]

Phyllis: And that you're doomed to fail at every relationship.

J.T.: Oh, you've been there.

Phyllis: Mm, you're looking at the master. But I am proof that it is possible to get it right the next time. You know, you -- you must believe that, too, or you wouldn't be with victoria.

J.T.: I do. In fact, sometimes I think we can be happier than we were before.

Phyllis: That is until you start arguing, butting heads, or irritating one another, right?

J.T.: You got a camera at my house? Yeah? [ Laughs ] No, I guess I was just hoping for the perfect reunion.

Phyllis: [ Inhales sharply ] No such thing. But after all this time, you know, you're gonna have to re-learn one another. Sort out old patterns and new quirks. But you'll figure it out.

J.T.: Well, I hope so, 'cause I'm working pretty hard.

Phyllis: I think victoria knows how lucky she is to have you back. You are smart, you're caring, and you're ridiculously easy on the eyes.

J.T.: Thank you.

Phyllis: [ Laughs ] I speak the truth. And I believe all is going to be well. Not only with victoria, but with reed too, you know. Kids want both of their parents back together, no matter what he may say to you.

J.T.: Yeah, can I get that in writing? Yeah? No more fights, no more arguments?

Phyllis: [ Laughs ] Growing pains.

J.T.: Yeah.

Phyllis: If you keep putting yourself out there, reed is going to believe that you're here to stay. That his dad is fighting for him and not against him. I should know. I am the mother of two headstrong kids.

J.T.: You know, I did not think it was possible, but you've actually turned my day around. Um... now, if victoria can just call, then...

Phyllis: Is she working around the clock again?

J.T.: And in a different time zone.

Phyllis: Yeah, well, that shouldn't come as a surprise. You know how victoria is.

J.T.: Yeah, I-I get how into work she is. Most of the time. Except when... [ Sighs ]

Phyllis: When...?

J.T.: Ah, forget it. It's stupid.

Phyllis: Well, now I got to hear this.

J.T.: [ Chuckles ] I guess it's just kind of hard to accept the fact that she's so into her job that I get pushed to the back sometimes, you know? Doesn't that sound lame?

[ Laughs ]

Phyllis: No. I get it. You want to be her priority. There's no harm in that.

J.T.: Yeah, well, it'd probably be a lot easier if i had a job I was actually passionate about. I mean, no offense to your boyfriend, but, man, chancellor's not exactly inspiring work.

Phyllis: It's okay. You're allowed to complain about billy. I do it anywhere between once and 45 times a day.

J.T.: In between you and me, I am capable of doing so much more than cane and billy give me. I just finished fixing this programming glitch I could do in my sleep, and they haven't even given me another assignment. I want to work. I want to put my skills to use.

Phyllis: You know what, I-I think I may be able to help you with that.

Chelsea: That was just what I needed.

Nick: Well, I thought you could use a blast of fresh air after getting your bad news.

Chelsea: It helped. You help.

Nick: [ Sighs ] You know, you've been thrown some serious curve balls lately, but you've handled them all like a champ. But I think all this stuff is starting to get to you.

Chelsea: What? No. I mean, what's the point of getting upset? Yeah, somebody's trying to rip off my company. I mean, phyllis is on it. What else can I do?

Nick: It's not just that, you know. I mean, earlier, when I brought up the money -- adam's money -- I could see how uncomfortable it makes you.

[ Sighs ] There is something about that money, chelsea, that bothers you. You want to tell me what it is? Hurry in to petsmart for the lowest prices of the month!

Tessa: Can...we... talk about the song?

Mariah: [ Scoffs ] You know what, the song is dead. It's never getting released. And if you're trying to talk me into it --

Tessa: I'm not trying to fight it. I'm trying to apologize.

Mariah: Oh.

Tessa: Your journal was private. I had no business reading it, let alone --

Mariah: Stealing from it?

Tessa: I am so sorry for what I did. I was desperate and selfish, and I could not have been more wrong.

Mariah: Thank you for finally admitting that.

Tessa: Thank you for letting me say it. And I have something else to tell you. And it might be tough for you to hear.

Mariah: Go ahead.

Tessa: Even though i completely mishandled it, we wrote a good song together. I didn't lie when I said what you wrote inspired me. It's like I could hear your voice in my head, and then the rest of the lyrics and the music just came to me. We would have been terrific partners, you and I. Song -- songwriting partners. If I would have been up front and honest, a lot of things would have been different.

Mariah: What are you looking for from me?

Tessa: Being friends again would be cool.

Mariah: I already told you, we can't go back.

Tessa: And you're right. But maybe -- maybe we can find a way forward.

Mariah: Tessa, I can't trust you. Why --

Tessa: You were the first true friend I ever had, and i can't stand that I lost you.

Mariah: You shoved me away.

Tessa: All I did was fall for noah.

Mariah: And you left me hanging. You were into him, and you weren't into me. I can accept that. But the way that you went about it --

Tessa: I was so scared of messing things with him, and with you, and I ended up ruining everything for everybody. I should have fought harder for your friendship. You know that you're gonna miss texting someone a thousand times a day or having inside jokes with them or being creeped out by the same weird things, like licorice.

Mariah: Oh, god.

Tessa: I know.

Mariah: So gross.

[ Both chuckle ]

Tessa: I broke us. And I would do anything to repair that. And I believe, deep down, you want that, too.

Mariah: Can't just hit the reset button --

Tessa: No, and I don't expect that. I don't expect for you to forgive and forget everything.

Mariah: Then what do you expect?

Tessa: Hi. I'm tessa. Do you want to hang out sometime? Or do you hate me too much to do that?

Mariah: I could never hate you.

Nick: [ Sighs ] I know what you're doing.

Chelsea: You do?

Nick: Yeah. I mean, when we found that money, the first thing you wanted to do was put some of it into my housing project. And the next thing you wanted to do was spend some of it on trying to make me feel good.

Chelsea: [ Scoffs ] Well, what's wrong with that?

Nick: Nothing, if... I mean, unless you are overcompensating because you feel guilty. Look, seeing hundreds of thousands of dollars come falling out of the wall from your dead husband, it had to bring up some serious emotions.

Chelsea: Well, sure. I can't stop wondering what adam intended to do with all that cash.

Nick: I would like to think that adam left that behind for you and connor. In case anything happened. You know, this was his way of being able to look out for you two.

Chelsea: He and I used to talk about having a backup plan.

Nick: Why didn't you tell me that?

[ Sighs ] You know that you can always talk to me about him. You don't have to hold anything back. Not from me.

J.T.: Yeah, I've handled several cases like that. Dummy websites can rip off a lot of money. Just 'cause you shut one down doesn't mean they're not ready and waiting to set up another bogus shopping cart.

Phyllis: That's your area of expertise, right?

J.T.: Oh, yeah. No, I love the stuff.

Phyllis: Which is why I want to hire you to investigate this crime.

J.T.: Heh... yeah, you don't know how bad i want to say yes to that.

Phyllis: Well, what's stopping you?

J.T.: Well, technically, I'm still exclusive to chancellor.

Phyllis: So what is stopping you from doing a little part-time work to help me out? It's not my fault they can't come up with enough serious work to keep you busy.

J.T.: [ Sighs ] I don't know if cane would see it that way.

Phyllis: Well, this doesn't concern him. This is a side hustle, which you'd be well-compensated for, and you and I would only have to know.

J.T.: Sounds exciting and challenging.

Phyllis: Do we have a deal?

Ashley: I have an opportunity to create a world-class, groundbreaking cosmetics brand.

Lily: Well, you seem excited.

Ashley: I'm so excited!

Lily: [ Laughs ] Although I get the feeling that you would have liked to have made this kind of magic happen at your own family's company.

Ashley: Yeah. I mean, obviously I would have loved to have followed in my father's footsteps and created my own legacy at jabot, but... jack made that impossible. Jabot is his, and his alone. So I guess I have to make my dreams come true someplace else.

[ Lily chuckles ] I've got the vision. I've got the expertise. I've got you and abby by my side. How could I lose?

Lily: Yeah. So, what will my role be?

Ashley: Okay. Well, I've done some research. I think you've been undervalued. So I want to utilize your management skills that you developed here, your marketing skills, your deep connections to the modeling world in a way that victoria never would. You and I together are gonna go very far.

Lily: Well, thank you for the vote of confidence.

Ashley: I'm just calling it the way I see it.

Lily: [ Laughs ] I do want to warn you, though, that the dynamics at newman are far trickier than politics. I mean, you're already rocking the family boat.

Ashley: I know. It's nothing I didn't expect. There isn't one challenge they can throw at me that I won't be able to handle. Here comes one of them now. Hi.

Nikki: Hi. I-I don't want to interrupt. Is it a good time?

Ashley: We're just wrapping up. We're fine, yeah.

Lily: Yeah, yeah. Thank you for everything. And nice to see you.

Nikki: You too, lily.

Ashley: Bye-bye.

Nikki: Well, um... we should get a private table.

Ashley: What are you so anxious to discuss with me?

Nikki: A delicate matter.

Ashley: Okay, let me guess. You gave it some thought. You don't want me working with victor, and you want me to turn down his job offer.

Nikki: Oh, ashley, no. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Mariah: I have to get back to work.

Tessa: Well, I'm -- I'm glad we talked. I guess, uh, I'll see you around?

Mariah: Yeah. I, uh -- I guess so.

Tessa: Hey. Thanks for hearing me out.

Nikki: I meant what I said. You will be a wonderful addition to newman at a time when the company needs to remain innovative in order to stay cutting-edge and profitable. What? You doubt me?

Ashley: You're just a little too enthusiastic.

Nikki: No, I'm being very sincere.

Ashley: Okay. Well, I guess I'm just not used to seeing this side of you, frankly.

Nikki: Fair enough. Well, in that case, I'll just stop lauding your skill set and make it all about me.

[ Laughs ]

Ashley: Go for it.

Nikki: You see, when it comes to the success of our family, victor and I are a united front, which is why you and I needed to have this chat.

Ashley: 'Cause you want me to keep my paws off your husband?

Nikki: Actually, no. To ward off that kind of misconception. And now that your deal with newman has been finalized, i just wanted to reassure you that I'm not gonna change my mind. I won't get jealous. I'm not going to cause any trouble for you professionally or personally.

Ashley: You say that now --

Nikki: Now, today, tomorrow, next week.

Ashley: Well, maybe you've forgotten how territorial you can be.

Nikki: Victor and i have a new arrangement. We have come to understand that we are better, stronger, together than apart. We no longer subscribe to the traditional dictates of marriage. And that has become very beneficial for us, offering us a much happier life.

Ashley: Are you saying --

Nikki: Interpret as you see fit.

Ashley: And you feel the need to express this to me in particular because...?

Lily: And then to top it off with ashley wanting me on her team...

Lily: [ Laughs ]

[ Scoffs ]

Ashley: I can't believe that you're actually serious about all this.

Nikki: Oh, I am. It's a whole new world for victor and me.

Ashley: [ Laughs ] Well, I'm happy that the two of you have reached an agreement. For you to encourage me, however, is interesting.

Nikki: Given my reactions in the past.

Ashley: Well, nikki, you did fake a terminal illness to keep me away from victor, so... that kind of resentment does not just go away. You've always had a problem with me. Let's not start pretending now.

Nikki: My problem was my need to be in the middle of victor's universe. I was very young. I've moved past that now. Victor lives his life. I live mine on my own terms. And it's incredibly freeing.

Ashley: Okay. Well, thank you for the open-door gesture. But I'm going to pass. I have no interest in rekindling anything with victor.

Nikki: Entirely up to you. Should you change your mind, it's perfectly fine with me.

Lily: Thank you for my surprises.

Cane: Well, there is actually, uh, one more.

Lily: No. Cane, this is too much. I -- [ Sighs, chuckles ] No, you don't have to do this. Today was already amazing.

Cane: Open it.

Lily: [ Sighs ]

Cane: Please open it.

[ Gasps ]

Lily: Oh, my gosh.

Cane: I didn't get you a ring since you didn't take it off. But, uh, since I, um -- I have a special request, I kind of thought that this is a, uh...

Lily: A bribe?

Cane: No, it's not a bribe.

[ Both laugh ] It's not a bribe. It's a reminder of how I, um, shouldn't take any moment with you for granted. Come here.

Lily: It's beautiful.

Cane: Come here. So... lily ashby, I love you. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So I was, uh -- I was hoping... well, I was thinking... would you renew our vows? Would you marry me all over again? Would you give me that honor?

[ Inhales, exhales deeply ] Yes. [ Chuckles ]

Cane: Yeah?

Lily: I never stopped loving you. I never have, and I never will.
