Episode #11322 ~ Abby receives a surprise visitor in Paris; Graham crosses a line; Tessa resorts to extreme measures.

Provided By Suzanne

Previously on "the young and the restless"...

Paul: Break-ins like yours are all too common. Even our little town has its share of lowlifes, and they are desperate to get their hands on these chemicals for a variety of twisted reasons.

Mariah: Welcome to the "I'm fine" party.

Tessa: Sharon invited me.

Mariah: Why is she on the guest list?

Sharon: You can't just keep avoiding her.

Mariah: Not if you keep randomly inviting her to things without warning me!

Abby: I am leaving, I am going to paris, and I am going to forget your name and everything else about you. Don't you just love being back in paris?

Lily: I have so many fond memories of france.

Abby: Like wedding memories in provence?

Lily: All I can think about is cane.

Abby: Look at you!

Lily: No, I don't want to see. I'm just gonna look at my nose and my hair and my eyes...

Abby: Stop that, right now, because these pictures are perfect. You look amazing, which is why we finished ahead of schedule.

Lily: Wait, we're done? What about the shoot tonight?

Abby: It's canceled. The louvre, the arc de triomphe, and you, my friend, brought the heat which is why we have everything we need.

Lily: Well, that's good news. I'm gonna have something super fattening for dinner.

Abby: And we can do some real sightseeing before your flight home tomorrow.

Lily: Yeah, definitely. Where do you want to go?

Abby: Ooh, I was thinking, uh, maybe a cruise down the seine, or one of those secret night gardens. Oh! Or the pont neuf. Oh, I heard that that was amazing at night.

Lily: [ Chuckles ] The pont neuf.

Abby: Oh! Is that a good memory?

Lily: Yeah. Cane and I walked the bridge there, and we didn't plan it, but we happened to get there right as the sun was setting.

Abby: Wow. That sounds spectacular.

Lily: It was. I can still feel it. His arms around me, and mine around him, and just looking out at the city, bathed in the most beautiful light.

Cane: The view is tremendous.

Devon: Glad to hear, but I'm not keeping an eye on your kids so you can play tourist. How did lily react when she saw you, finally?

Cane: I still haven't managed to find out.

Devon: You've been there a whole day.

Cane: But I haven't managed to connect with her.

Devon: You're staying in the same hotel. What's so hard?

Cane: Well, she's not answering her phone, okay? And I don't want to text her.

Devon: Why?

Cane: Because this city means so much to us, and when she realizes I made the trip to be with her, I want to see her face.

Devon: Why don't you get ahold of abby, so that --

Cane: Oh, please, all right, she'll just ruin the surprise. I mean, do you have any appreciation for romance?

Devon: You're leaving a lot to chance.

Cane: Oh, not even a little bit. You see, I found this guy behind the front desk who's told me that lily and I have rooms on the same floor. So what I'm gonna do is wait till she walks past, then I'm gonna step outside my door, and I'm gonna surprise her and tell her how much I love her and that I want her back for good. And it is going to be...magic.

[ Knocks on door ]

Michael: Hey!

Jack: Hey! You have news?

Michael: Yes. We have set a date for the hearing.

Jack: Wow, that was fast.

Michael: [ Chuckles ] I thought it'd take longer to search for evidence, but there's enough to prove that graham's marriage to your mother was a sham, and I am certain the judge will grant the annulment.

Jack: Okay, what is your strategy?

Michael: [ Chuckles ] I'm gonna argue that that quickie wedding was nothing more than a stall tactic to keep dina away from her family and to ensure graham's status as beneficiary in her will. Look, in two days, dina should be back with her family. What? What? I thought you'd be relieved.

Jack: Two days. 48 hours is enough time for graham to come up with another drastic move to protect his own interests.

Paul: I was just coming to see you.

Ashley: Yeah? Did you find out who robbed my lab?

Paul: Well, uh, we don't have a suspect yet, but my officers did make a curious find. They discovered a bag of chemicals that was tossed in a garbage bin at the park, all with jabot labels.

Ashley: Well, that doesn't make any sense. Why would somebody go to all that trouble to rob my lab just to throw everything away?

Paul: Well, maybe all of it wasn't tossed. So I was counting on you to help me nail down what they kept and what they discarded. Because I think that could be the key to figuring out who did this.

Graham: I have a surprise for you.

Dina: Oh! Is it about the cruise you've been promising me?

Graham: [ Chuckles ] Even better.

Dina: Oh! Oh! A present. How thoughtful.

Graham: Other hand, dear.

Dina: Oh! Okay.

Graham: Now that we're husband and wife, I want the world to know.

Dina: Oh, well don't be absurd. We're not married. My husband is john abbott.

Graham: Not any longer, remember? You two divorced.

Dina: Well, then I never should have gone through with that hearing. I mean, john's been wonderful to me. Get him on the phone right now, and I'll straighten things out.

Graham: It's a bit late for that.

Dina: Well, I'm sure he hasn't gone to lunch yet. Let's get in touch with him before his afternoon appointments. Call him.

Graham: Perhaps it would be better if...

Dina: Well, if you won't call, I will!

Graham: There's no reason to do that. John is dead.

Dina: [ Scoffs ] For heaven's sake. Don't be absurd. John is not dead.

Graham: Yes, he is. Get used to it. I'm all you have now, dina.

Cane: Order, uh, du champagne, du caviar, et fleurs? Yes. I mean, s'il vous plait. No, no, I -- I don't care how expensive it is.

[ Keys jingling ] Au revoir. Thank you. Merci.

Cane: Hey.

Abby: Cane?

Cane: You're alone.

Abby: You came here looking for lily.

Cane: Please don't say anything. It's meant to be a surprise, okay? And I know that you're her friend, and you probably don't think I deserve another shot, but please, just --

Abby: No. You had me at "surprise." She's been thinking about you a lot the past few days.

Cane: Really?

Abby: Yeah. [ Laughs ] It's so romantic that you came all this way, but... I hate to break it to you. Lily's gone.

Cane: What do you mean, she's gone? Where did she go?

Abby: We finished our shoot. We were about to go do some sightseeing, but then lily decided to go home early.

Cane: So she's gone to the airport.

Abby: To catch the last flight out.

Cane: Well, here I am, I've ordered champagne, and, uh... she's already gone.

Tessa: How about somewhere warmer than chicago, like nashville?

Noah: Yeah, but it's a 9-hour drive.

Tessa: But fruit tea, biscuits, great music...

Noah: Yeah, I guess it doesn't hurt to check out what the competition's up to.

Tessa: Well, I mean, that's part of it, but one of the things I like about being a musician is not feeling like i have to compete with anyone.

Noah: Did you finish that song you were working on?

Tessa: Uh, yeah, it's coming along. I haven't really found what i want to say with it yet.

Noah: Hey.

Sharon: When did you two sneak in?

Tessa: Hi.

Noah: Oh, yeah, you must have been in the office.

Sharon: Oh.

[ Cellphone chimes ]

Noah: Oh, uh, some top of the tower business. I got to make a few phone calls. I'll be right back.

Tessa: So, that was, uh, some party you had.

[ Laughter ]

Sharon: If you can call it that.

Tessa: Well, it was definitely different.

Sharon: You know, I was hoping that you and mariah could talk and work things out. I mean, just get your friendship back on track.

Tessa: Yeah. Yeah, that would -- that would be great. I miss her. Someday. Maybe.

Devon: Hey, tessa, do you have a second?

Sharon: Uh, that's my cue to go back to work. Can I get you anything?

Devon: Oh, no, thank you, sharon, I'm good, thanks. Hey.

Tessa: Hi.

Devon: I, uh, was gonna call and ask you to come meet me at the office, but this is easier.

Tessa: What's up?

Devon: I want to light a fire under you. It's time for you to step your game up with your music.

Tessa: [ Chuckles ] That kind of sounds like a threat.

Devon: No, it's not a threat. But I do need you to start earning this big break that I've given you.

Ashley: The only one missing is...aldehyde c-9.

Paul: I haven't heard of that one.

Ashley: That doesn't surprise me.

Paul: Yeah, but I am up to speed with everything that dealers go after to manufacture synthetic drugs. Would this mimic something we're used to seeing on the street?

Ashley: No. It's used to manufacture fragrance. I mean, the ones that were thrown out, those chemicals, well, they're pretty benign when they're used as intended.

Paul: So who would steal it?

Ashley: Not a competitor. They would have no problems getting their hands on this.

Paul: Okay, so it's not corporate espionage, and it's not some dealer trying to make a score. What the hell are we dealing with?

Lily: Pouvez-vous aller plus vite? J'essaie de faire un vol.

[ Cellphone rings ] Cane?

Cane: Yeah, it's me. Um, where are you right now?

Lily: Uh, it's actually funny you say that. I'm actually in -- hello? Cane? Can you hear me?

Cane: Lily? Lily, are you there?

Lily: [ Sighs ] Oh, shoot.

[ Sighs ]

Cane: [ Sighs ] I lost the connection.

[ Sighs deeply ] Now it's going to voicemail.

Abby: Do you think she hung up on you?

Cane: I don't know. I mean, you spent the last few days with her. What do you think?

Abby: Well, I know she would have loved seeing you here. I'm sure of that.

Cane: When is her flight?

Abby: What are you thinking?

Cane: I'm gonna stop her.

Abby: You're not gonna make it in time! Paris traffic is a mess this time of day!

Mariah: Hey. Your girlfriend kick you out of her business meeting?

Noah: I was being polite and giving them privacy.

Mariah: Well, do you know what they're talking about? It looks kind of intense.

Devon: Sure, I think that your debut track was an indie's dream, but unfortunately it didn't get the kind of success that our company needs to justify putting more money behind your career.

Tessa: I thought you said that my song took off after i was arrested for stealing nikki's gun.

Devon: It did, but then as soon as that story died down, so did the downloads. It was just a temporary spike.

Tessa: My music's not as good as we thought?

Devon: Well, listen, I'm not being critical here of your music because I think that you're an amazing talent. It's just that we haven't broken even on the money spent producing your first few songs, and, you know, one song that has a spike in popularity is great, but you want a string of songs, you want to have a good shelf life, keep the fans interested. That's where you pay the bills.

Tessa: I'm sorry I let you down.

Devon: You didn't let anybody down. We're in this together. You're a new artist, I'm new at running a record label. We're learning. But we do have to be successful if we want to continue doing what we love to do.

Tessa: Be honest.

Devon: Hmm?

Tessa: Are you thinking about dropping me?

Devon: I'll tell you what, you make your next song a hit, and we won't even have to have this conversation, all right?

Tessa: Yeah, that's not exactly encouraging.

Devon: Well, I'm being honest with you, and I have no doubt in my mind that you will come up with another bona fide commercial hit. And when you do, I'm gonna hire the best producer, and I'm gonna market the hell out of it because I believe in you. That's the truth. Just think of this as like a creative challenge, and rise to it.

Tessa: I will.

Devon: Good.

Michael: Jack, I won't tell you you have no reason to be worried about your mother. But, listen, I promise you, after this hearing, you'll never have anything to fear from graham bloodworth again.

Jack: Thank you for making this all happen so quickly, michael.

Michael: I'll be in touch?

Jack: Yeah.

Michael: All right.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Jack: Jack abbott.

Dina: Oh, jackie, it's so horrible. Please tell me it isn't true.

Jack: Mother, mother. Slow down. Tell me what's wrong.

Dina: Please tell me that john isn't dead, that he's all right. I just don't understand. I was with him in the hearing just a day or two ago. And... did he get into an accident?

Jack: Believe me, you have nothing to worry about.

Dina: John's alive, isn't he? I know it may sound silly, but i need to hear you say it, jackie. Tell me that john is all right.

Graham: You're getting yourself all worked up.

Jack: Mother, what's happening?

Graham: This always happens when you talk to your children.

Jack: M--

Graham: I don't want to see you upset.

Dina: Well, why did you hang up on him? I wanted to talk to jackie about john.

Graham: Okay, just sit. Sit, sit.

Dina: [ Sighs ]

Graham: Listen. Listen. You don't remember, but you asked me to take you away from your children when things started to change for you. I'm just doing what you made me promise I would do. You didn't want them to see you this way.

Dina: What are you talking about? What way?

Graham: Everything I'm doing is for your own good.

Dina: Then why did you say things that were untrue?

Graham: I've been honest with you, always. I promised you that I would take care of you for the rest of your life. And I never break my promises.

Cane: Plus vite, plus vite. Plus vite, s'il vous plait. Plus vite. Monsieur, allez! Allez, allez. Allez, s'il vous plait. Please, allez!

Abby: Scott?

Scott: That's your room? I, uh -- I thought it was down the hall.

Abby: No, this is cane's room. This is cane's champagne. What --

Scott: And where's cane?

Abby: He went to -- you know what, it's a long story. I flew across an ocean to get away from you. What are you doing in paris?

Scott: Well, I flew across that same ocean for one reason. I wanted to apologize to you.

Abby: Okay, what's the real reason?

Scott: Why do you have to argue with me all the time?

Abby: Because you say ridiculous things, and I'd have to be an idiot to believe you.

Scott: Look, I'm telling you the truth. I came here just hoping that i could catch you alone, without any distractions, so we could actually get a chance to talk.

[ Sighs ] Look, I guess I didn't sell that too well.

Abby: You sold it just fine. But if we're gonna do this, I need more champagne.

Cane: Lily! Wait!

Lily: Cane?

Cane: You're still here. I can't believe I made it.

Lily: I don't understand. How did you know I was here?

Cane: It was supposed to be a surprise. I got here yesterday, and I've been looking everywhere for you.

Lily: That call before --

Cane: It was from the hotel. It was from your hotel. I had to come, sweetheart, because this city -- this is our place.

Lily: I know, that's why I'm leaving. Being here without you, it -- it made me sad.

Cane: That is good. That is good.

Lily: I wish I --

Cane: Sweetheart, don't go back. 'Cause here we have a chance to finish everything we started back in genoa city. And start new memories.

Lily: Cane, I changed my ticket, and the kids --

Cane: The kids are with devon, they're with your brother.

Lily: [ Sighs ] Cane, I --

Cane: Sweetheart, if you get on that plane, you will regret it, and I know I will. Will you please -- will you please stay?

[ Knocks on door ]

Jack: Mother? Mother, open up!

Graham: Keep it down. Dina's resting.

Jack: I'm coming in one way or the other. You might as well let me in.

Graham: You're not wanted here. Do I need to call the police?

Jack: You call them, and i will tell them that my mother called me frantic, asking for my help. You've got her pretty worked up now.

Graham: You have 30 seconds to get away from this door.

Jack: You really think you can get rid of me? Try!

Dina: Who is it? What's going on?

Jack: Everything all right?

Dina: [ Gasps ] John. It's you. It's you! [ Giggles ] Mm! I told you he wasn't dead. Oh, I've just been so worried, but you're here. I guess it was all just a big misunderstanding.

Jack: Are you okay, dina?

Dina: Oh, I'm just fine, john. Now that you're here. Now, why don't you stay a while, and we'll have coffee. Uh, would you please call room service?

Graham: That's not john. That's jack. He's your son.

Dina: [ Chuckles ] No, no. Jackie's just a little boy. John is my husband.

Graham: I'm trying to help you here. You have to trust me on this.

Jack: You know what, I can't wait for the coffee. Could you pour me some water, please?

Dina: Of course, darling.

Jack: Thank you.

Dina: You're welcome.

Jack: Do not contradict her when she's confused. Every doctor we've talked to has told us that.

Graham: I'll decide what's best for my wife.

Jack: In two days, that travesty will be over with. Oh, what? Your lawyer hasn't contacted you?

Graham: What have you done?

Jack: You'll see. You've played your last card, pal. Game over.

Abby: I have never had someone go transatlantic to apologize to me before.

Scott: That's got to score me some points.

Abby: Uh, no, mr. World traveler. Check, please!

Scott: Can you just give me a shot, okay?

Abby: Make it good.

Scott: First, I had suspicions about zack long before he...

Abby: Lost it and tried to kill us?

Scott: I could have, should have told you a lot before that, way before that.

Abby: That would have been nice.

Scott: And then after what happened in the storage unit...

Abby: Sex?

[ Chuckles ] Why can't you just call it sex?

Scott: Because... it was more than that. I tried to shrug it off and make it seem like you were the only one with the real attraction, but the truth was, you know, i had those feelings, too.

Abby: You know what, it doesn't matter. I saw through it, so... looks like your plane ticket was a big old waste of money.

Scott: Would you just stop? I'm building up to something here.

Abby: Then get on with it.

Scott: Look, I asked victoria if I could work from home or any other place on the planet except for at newman. She said no.

Abby: Why?

Scott: And then I went to my mom and I tried to talk her into buying hashtag to see if that could be the way I make my exit, and still, no go.

Abby: But why?

Scott: But -- I'm not done. I did all that because I know that me being at that place would make you uncomfortable and that it would affect the way you do your job.

Abby: [ Chuckles ] You wish.

Scott: I'm still not done.

Abby: You can't accuse me of being sappy and so immature that your mere presence --

Scott: I quit.

Abby: Well, if you did that for me --

Scott: I am. Deal with it.

Abby: Well, where are you gonna go?

Scott: Wow.

Abby: What?

Scott: No, silly me. I thought for a second there that you would try and talk me into staying. Got that wrong.

Abby: So wrong.

Scott: I'll get another job. I have a good résumé. That cable news channel's still interested in me.

Abby: You know, for someone so smart, you can be dumber than dirt. I have a much better idea.

Cane: Looks like abby didn't think I was gonna catch up with you.

Lily: Well, at least she left these untouched.

Cane: Yeah. Thank you for coming back here with me.

Lily: Now that you have me here, what are you gonna do with me?

Cane: I was wrong to tell you not to come here.

Lily: Well, I mean, you were upset.

Cane: I was trying to convince you that we still had a chance, and it just sounded like your career wasn't important, and everything that mattered to you just -- that you should give it up for me.

Lily: Yeah. Pretty much.

Cane: But that's not what i meant. I was desperate to keep you, baby. It just felt so...

Lily: Like we had gotten back to where we were?

Cane: Yeah.

Lily: Like how things used to be. And it felt really good.

Cane: But it was fragile. Like a wrong word or a missed call or a business trip to paris, and all of a sudden, i was just gonna lose you.

Lily: I just hate going from feeling so connected to this.

Cane: But we're here. We're together.

Lily: Yeah, but it doesn't feel like it did. I mean, everything is so stressful and scary and complicated now, you know? Like how it's been for the past few months. Juliet and the baby and... even our kiss. I mean, nothing is simple anymore.

Cane: I would love for things to be simple.

Lily: So how do we do that?

Cane: Simple fact. I want you. Do you want me? Okay, okay. Well, let's put that one aside, and we'll go to simple fact #2. I could blame sleeping with juliet on the alcohol, but i messed up. But then I spent months trying to lie just to cover it up, and I just made things worse. And all of that is on me.

Lily: Cane, you have said this before.

Cane: I know, but I have traveled 6,000 miles to put us right.

Lily: But the facts can't undo the hurt. As much as I want to forget it, I...

Cane: Listen, I came here. I was standing here in this room, I was waiting for you, and abby turned up, and she told me you were gone, and I called you. I was trying to stop you, and then I don't know what happened. Maybe your phone died, and i raced to the airport, and I was stuck in traffic, and I knew you were gonna board that plane, so I ran. I ran to you.

Lily: I didn't know what it was, but I had this feeling that I shouldn't get on the plane.

Cane: And then I got to the terminal.

Lily: And I was still there.

Cane: So I have to think all this is for a reason.

Lily: Fate.

Cane: You know what, it sounds crazy, but this is a magical city for us. And now I'm thinking that maybe we have a chance to fix everything I broke.

Lily: How do we do that?

Cane: We take each other's hands... ...and you say yes. I want you. Do you still want me?

Noah: Hey. You're too worked up. You just need to relax, all right? Just let the muse do its work.

Tessa: I need to come up with something new and different. And I have to do it fast if i want to stay on devon's label. He made that clear, and the words are just not coming.

Noah: They will, I have faith. Hey, hey. Will you tell tessa that she's super talented and everything's gonna be all right?

Mariah: You are super talented and everything's gonna be all right.

Noah: All right, you guys, when are you two gonna be friends again, huh? This is crazy. Whatever happened, hasn't it been long enough you can just put it aside?

Mariah: Nothing happened. I don't know what you're talking about.

Noah: All right. Okay. That's fine. Be that way. I'm gonna get a refill. Tessa?

Tessa: I'm good. You know, it would be nice if we didn't have this tension every time we see each other.

Mariah: Well, then, here's a suggestion -- have a chat with my brother, make him understand that you and I are better off not being friends. Then he'll stop wanting to talk to me about it, and I won't have to feel pressured to say things that I don't want to say. If he likes you, and everything's going great between you guys, then I'm happy to let him think that.

Tessa: Things are going well. I love noah.

Mariah: Yeah. Okay. Keep telling yourself that. So now you'll smile, and I'll smile, and we'll make sure everything looks like it's hunky-dory, okay? That should satisfy noah for the moment.

Tessa: Look, mariah --

Mariah: I have to go do my own writing on the patio. Thank you.

Tessa: You -- you write?

Mariah: Yeah. I do. You're not the only one who sorts out their feelings by putting pen to paper.

Jack: Feeling better?

Dina: Much.

Jack: Well, I'm glad we got things cleared up.

Dina: But, john, I just don't understand how graham got everything wrong.

Jack: You know what, that doesn't matter. Now none of it matters.

Dina: Well, what matters to me is that you're all right. You'll have to excuse me. I'm just exhausted with all this, insisting what I knew was true.

Jack: Yes, I can imagine. You get some rest.

Dina: Okay.

Jack: And I will be back. I promise you that.

Dina: All right.

Graham: I'm not giving up.

Jack: You've already lost. You just haven't accepted it yet.

Graham: My marriage to dina is legal.

Jack: Until a judge annuls it -- that is, after your medical power of attorney is invalidated. And before that, we'll see that you're written out of her will.

Graham: That will never happen.

Jack: I hope you saved your pennies, pal. You're gonna need them. Hot pockets.

Abby: Thank you, dad. Yes, I will talk to you tomorrow.

Scott: Did I hear that right?

Abby: Victor newman has agreed to sell you hashtag, directly to you. So the magazine that you built from the ground up is all yours, independent of newman.

Scott: For a price.

Abby: A hefty price, yes.

Scott: But I can't afford to buy it.

Abby: My dad agreed to let you pay over time with profits from the venture.

Scott: [ Sighs ]

Abby: Okay, what's with the look?

Scott: I don't get why you stepped up for me.

Abby: The article that you wrote for hashtag on the sex ring. Well, it saved my reputation at newman. My sister was about to marginalize me until that story came out, and, um... I won't forget that.

Scott: Thanks.

Abby: However...

Scott: With you, there's always a "however..."

Abby: [ Chuckles ] You have to promise to do more stories that bring down people like zack.

Scott: Consider it done.

Abby: And... I want you to relocate hashtag to another city.

Scott: So, I guess me being out of the building isn't enough distance for you.

Abby: There's news everywhere, right? You can go anywhere you want in the whole entire world with a digital platform. You can make any city you want home. What do you think?

Scott: Well, I've always loved london.

Abby: Me, too. Notting hill is my favorite neighborhood.

Scott: Of course it is.

Abby: What's that supposed to mean?

Scott: You're gonna miss me.

Abby: Not as much as you're gonna miss me.

Cane: Are you sure there's nothing I can get you?

Lily: I know you're disappointed I didn't give you an answer.

Cane: The fact you're still here... well, if that's all you can give me, I'll take that.

Lily: It's an amazing city, isn't it?

Cane: Yeah, it is.

Lily: Just looking at it, you know, all the people that have come here and have fallen in love...or found a love they thought they lost. Cane, if we try again, it's more than just rekindling what we had. We have a family that we have to reconstruct.

Cane: Look, I know I hurt you and the kids, but we've come a long way. And we have charlie pulling for us.

Lily: But mattie's not ready yet.

Cane: I know. It's harder for her because she puts me up on this pedestal, and she gives me this credit I don't deserve.

Lily: And what if she can't forgive you?

Cane: I have to believe that she will. Look, there was a time that i thought I was gonna lose the three of you. But now I have hope.

Lily: I don't know if I can take weeks or months or years of mattie resenting us.

Cane: Piecing our family back together is like building a house. You have to have this strong foundation and, sweetheart, you're that foundation.

Lily: Right. Put it all on me.

Ashley: What the thief chose to keep is an ingredient used to make perfume.

Jack: Isn't everything in your lab?

Ashley: Yes, but outside the lab, it can be toxic.

Jack: So if someone drank it or injected it or...?

Ashley: Mm-hmm, in the right quantity, it can kill.

Jack: Well, I hope paul finds the thief.

Ashley: I do, too. All right, I'll keep you posted.

Ashley: Inject.

Jack: What?

Ashley: You said "inject."

Jack: I just thought of all the ways someone could use it. It's in liquid form, right?

Ashley: Okay, jack, when i was at mother's suite the other day, graham had a syringe.

Dina: [ Yawns ] You know, I'm more tired than I thought. I think I'll take a little nap.

Graham: Yes, that sounds like a lovely idea. You should...

Dina: Ahhh!

Graham: ...Take a nice, long rest.

Abby: Now that you are the owner and operator of the newly independent hashtag, what are you gonna work on first?

Scott: I've been doing research in the dark web about a ring of jewel thieves striking both in london and paris.

Abby: Ah, see, I knew this trip wasn't just about me.

Scott: Eh, mostly about you. But my interest is in the buyers.

Abby: Rich? Connected?

Scott: A jet-set crowd with no qualms in buying hot merchandise. I'm thinking about going undercover to investigate.

Abby: Oh, yeah, as if anyone's gonna confuse you with a jet-setter.

Scott: Eh, with the right clothes and the right attitude...

Abby: No, no, what you need is someone on your arm that was born into that world, you know, someone's who accepted and a boldface name.

Scott: I do believe you just described yourself.

Abby: Or you could go solo. Better that way.

Scott: Yeah. No one to tie me down.

Abby: Well... [ Chuckles ] Well, um, I would say "nice knowing you," but...

Scott: [ Scoffs ] You'd be lying.

Abby: Yeah.

Noah: So, tessa told me about your party.

Sharon: [ Chuckles ] Okay, it was...a bit of a train wreck. [ Chuckles ]

Noah: [ Chuckles ]

Sharon: But it made me feel better.

Noah: I'm glad you did it. It's kind of like your own declaration of independence.

Sharon: I suppose, yeah.

Noah: Well, at least now i can say out loud how relieved i am that you're done with grainger. I mean, the guy pulled double duty, he hurt two people that i care about. You and abby.

Sharon: Well, I hope that doesn't mean you're planning on tracking him down at some point and causing a scene.

Noah: I know that you're more than capable of fighting your own battles, which is why I'm so in awe of you.

Sharon: Aww. Hey. How's tessa doing over there?

Noah: We were talking about you.

Sharon: [ Laughs ] Well, can I ask my son if he's happy?

Noah: I'm happy. I'm very, very happy. Although I will be happier when tessa gets over her writer's block, writes that next big hit song.

Sharon: I've got to show you this, it's amazing.

Cane: So, what are you thinking?

Lily: Do I stay or do I go?

Cane: All right, sweetheart, listen, I -- I didn't mean to pressure you by coming here and putting all these thoughts and all these questions...

Lily: Stop.

Cane: Please, let me finish.

Lily: No, don't -- don't say anything. Don't apologize. There's a time for talking, and there's a time when words just aren't enough.

Jack: Graham told you he's a diabetic?

Ashley: Yeah. I was surprised. First thing I'd ever heard about it. But he had all the equipment. He had the tester, he had the insulin, he had a syringe.

Jack: How did you even notice?

Ashley: He asked me to get it out of the refrigerator for him. He brought my attention to it.

Jack: He knows the hearing's been set. He knows he's about to lose everything.

Ashley: Unless...

Jack: Exactly.

Graham: I promised I'd always take care of you, dina. But it's only gonna get worse for you from now on. Confusion. Failing health. You'll be like a -- like a child. That is too sad an end for such a dynamic woman. This way... will be quick and painless. Don't be afraid, my darling dina. I promise. You won't feel a thing.

Dina: What are you doing?

Graham: Hold still.

Dina: No! No, no! Stop it!

Graham: Hold -- hold still!

Dina: Stop it! No! Stop it!

Graham: Hold still!

Dina: No! Leave me alone!

Graham: Hold still!

Dina: Stop it! Stop it! Get away from me! Stop it!

Graham: [ Grunts ]

Dina: [ Gasps ]
