Provided By Suzanne
Graham: What are you doing in my room?Ashley: You scared me.
Graham: Shouldn't that be my reaction after stumbling upon an intruder in my private suite?
Ashley: I didn't intrude.
Graham: Break in? Did you break in? Huh? You standing here is the very definition of being caught red-handed.
Ashley: Honestly, I can completely explain this.
Graham: I'm waiting.
Ashley: Well, you startled me. Just give me a second to catch my breath.
Graham: You have 10 seconds to start talking. Then I'm calling the police.
Phyllis: My hearing must be off, because you wouldn't possibly say that.
Dina: That you would betray this fine young man? Like you did betray his brother? So, as far as your hearing goes, it's perfect.
Phyllis: What is the word for "betrayal" in french? You know, one that includes abandoning your husband and three children? Because in english, that's ugly. And heartless.
Billy: Okay. Let's just stand down here, okay?
Dina: I'm glad someone, at least, has some decency.
Billy: [ Sighs deeply ] Hey, hey, hey, okay. Let's just let this one go, okay? She's upset that she wasn't there for jack. Let's not take it personally. And we have dinner plans, so... let's do that. Are you coming?
Phyllis: Why did you just take her side over mine?
Chelsea: You told faith the truth?
Nick: I had to. I had to clean up the mess dad made. By going to see faith at camp, he twisted the story around and made me look like the bad guy.
Chelsea: When he's the one who originally kicked you off the property in the first place. Well, I mean, did you tell faith the truth truth, what led up to all that?
Nick: Not the specifics. There's way worse I could've told her.
Chelsea: What do you mean? What's victor done this time?
Abby: Dad? Dad, are you home?
Victor: I'm in here, sweetheart.
Abby: Why are you sitting in the dark?
Victor: [ Sighs ] Would you mind terribly if we rescheduled our dinner?
Abby: No problem.
Victor: I prefer to be alone, okay?
Abby: But that doesn't mean that I'm leaving. What's going on? Dad?
Victor: Mm-hmm.
[ Sighs ] It's your brother, nicholas.
Abby: Did something happen to him?
Victor: He went too far this time.
Abby: [ Sighs ] I hate this. And I still don't know what the big issue is between you two. And I know that I'm not gonna get any answers tonight, but I'm really sorry that you're going through this. But, dad, you and nick, you've been estranged and you've reconciled before.
[ Sighs ] Is there anything I can do to bring peace back to the family?
Victor: [ Sighs ] I wish I could say yes, you know? But what he did cut too deep.

Nikki: Oh! It is magical! It's magical.
Jack: What is?
Nikki: This place! When I walk in the door, all of my troubles just melt away.
Jack: Gee, and I thought i was the person putting the smile on your face.
Nikki: Well, you do your part.
Jack: So, sit, relax, and I'll start some dinner.
Nikki: No. No, you don'T. I'm cooking this time. What?
Jack: Nikki newman's making dinner?
Nikki: Well, now, you seem to forget that before I became mrs. Victor newman, lady of the manor, I was simply nikki reed, scrappy survivor.
Jack: You've come a long way, nikki.
Nikki: Yeah, it feels good, learning to do things for myself again. I like the process of it. But it can be a little challenging.
Jack: Not exactly the words you want to hear from somebody who's making dinner.
Nikki: Oh, well, now, i promise not to use anything more complicated than a blender and a spoon.
Jack: [ Chuckles ] Why am I not reassured by that?
Nikki: [ Laughs ] You know what I'm looking forward to the most?
Jack: Uh, proving that you're a better cook than I am.
Nikki: Oh, I didn't think of that. That's a good one. That's good, too. But I want to sit on that porch and watch the moon rise and hear the loons calling across the lake.
Jack: It is wonderful, isn't it?
Nikki: This place has such a calming effect.
Jack: You are welcome to come here any time with or without me.
Nikki: Oh, jack, thank you so much. I appreciate that. It's great to have a place to go just to get away from life's pressures and clear your head. I really think coming up here helped me get the strength to leave victor.
Jack: Is your conviction wavering? Is that maybe why we're here?
Abby: Dad, there's nothing that you and nick can't get past.
Victor: He turned faith against me, you know.
Abby: No. No. Nick wouldn't use his daughter that way, and faith?
Victor: Sweetheart --
Abby: I mean, faith loves you. She wouldn't hurt you on purpose.
Victor: She called me a liar. Said I couldn't be trusted anymore.
Abby: Faith said those words?
Victor: Mm-hmm. He must have told her quite a story.
Abby: But why?
Victor: [ Sighs ]
Abby: Dad, talk to me.
Victor: Noah had difficulties procuring a liquor license for his new place in ann arbor.
Abby: For the underground expansion?
Victor: Yeah. So I managed to get it for him, and I think his father resented that, you know? And as punishment, he, um, told faith that I kicked him out of the tack house.
Abby: Well, um, I'm blown away, but... you know, dad, it is the truth.
Victor: [ Sighs ]
Nick: You know, it's victor newman. There's always some lie or scheme in the works.
Chelsea: Oh. It just sounded like there was something specific.
Nick: I was just talking about some stuff that he pulled with sharon.
Chelsea: Oh, okay. Uh, well, then, I think that it's a good call. You don't want to pile too much on faith at once.
Nick: Yeah, I took a big risk, you know, but faith is strong. She can handle it. I saw it firsthand.
Chelsea: When?
Nick: Down at the stables. You know, she, uh, she stood up to my dad. She told him what she thought.
Victor: He turned my granddaughter against me. He ruined our relationship.
Abby: I'm sure that's an exaggeration.
Victor: No, it isn'T. You should have seen the disappointment in her eyes.
Nick: I tried to comfort her on the way home, but she wasn't having it. She kept saying, you know, she was okay.
Chelsea: It's gonna be hard for her only being able to go to the ranch when she's with her mom, but we'll make sure we do a lot of extra fun stuff with her.
Nick: You know, if she wants to see my dad when she's with us, I'm gonna let her.
Chelsea: You are?
Nick: Yeah, she loves spending time with him. And what kind of parent would i be if I took that away from her?
Victor: I think he just resents the fact that I have a good relationship with my grandchildren.
Abby: Well, did nick say that, or are you just making an assumption?
Victor: Well, I'm assuming that. I didn't want to confront him about it because I would have lost my temper in front of faith.
Nick: At least now maybe she won't think that everything that comes out of his mouth is gospel. And I always stress to faith it's important to be honest. She deserves the truth.
Abby: Nick isn't vindictive. He wouldn't just do something like that for no reason, especially after you got him that liquor license. You did him a huge favor.
[ Sighs ] Dad, go see him. Get the truth. I know that you are hurt and you are upset, but if you don't talk to him, things are only gonna get worse.
Victor: Thank you for listening.
Ashley: I was not breaking and entering, graham.
Graham: Then how did you get in? Bribe housekeeping? Pick the lock?
Ashley: No. I used this.
Graham: If you stole that from dina, you've committed a crime.
Ashley: I didn't steal it. She gave it to me.
Graham: Dina wanted you to ransack my room?
Ashley: I didn't ransack your room. Do you even see one pillow out of place? Please.
Graham: Then what were you doing?
Ashley: I was picking something up for my mother.
Graham: What exactly?
Ashley: Documents.
Graham: That's generic.
Ashley: Well, she wasn't that specific. She knew I was going to be here, graham, so she gave me this key and she asked me to pick up some papers, but the papers -- they weren't here. That's it. No harm, no foul. How was paris?
Graham: We're pretending to care now?
Ashley: Trying to be civil.
Graham: Didn't recognize it coming from you.
Ashley: Ha.
Graham: Where is dina?
Ashley: She's at the office, where I need to be. Goodbye.
[ Cellphone rings ]
Dina: Hello, darling. How's the trip going?
Graham: I got back into genoa city earlier than expected.
Dina: Oh.
Graham: But I need to see you. Pronto.
Billy: I would never take dina's side over yours.
Phyllis: Well, you just did. I was standing beside you, and you told me to stand down.
Billy: That was me trying to get us out of here because we have dinner plans.
Phyllis: It didn't come off that way, not to me or dina, given her catty remark.
Billy: Oh, come on. You dropped a couple verbal grenades on her. I just don't understand why you have to go to her level like that.
Phyllis: If someone's gonna trash me and my relationship, I'm not gonna just shrug my shoulders and dismiss it, okay? I don't play that way.
Billy: All right, take it easy, all right?
Phyllis: Don't patronize me.
Billy: I'm just trying to calm you down.
Phyllis: Well, it's not working.
Billy: Clearly.
Phyllis: I don't want to go to dinner. Cancel the reservations.
Billy: Great. Got a much better idea. Somewhere else we can get rid of some of this aggression. Come on.
Phyllis: [ Sighs ]
Ravi: Graham caught you?
Ashley: Coming out of his room, ravi.
Ravi: And I'm not bailing you out of jail? I mean, you must have had a pretty convincing cover story.
Ashley: I told him I was there to get some papers for my mother.
Ravi: Does she know that?
Ashley: No, she doesn'T. But, you know, thankfully I had permission to be in the room. And because she's paying for the room, technically --
Ravi: She'd be the one to have to press charges.
Ashley: [ Chuckles ] Exactly. And I'm 70% sure she wouldn't, so... okay, make that 65%.
Ravi: Hold on. Dina's paying for graham's suite?
Ashley: Isn't that interesting? So have you seen her?
Ravi: Uh, no, not recently.
Ashley: I've got to talk to her to make sure our stories match up.
Ravi: About you being caught in graham's room?
Ashley: Yes.
Ravi: You know, she claims that she has complete faith in the guy, but she gives you access to his room. What's her endgame?
Ashley: Well, to get me off his back.
Ravi: 'Cause he's so trustworthy and loyal.
Ashley: Exactly. She's so sure I wouldn't find anything incriminating, and she was basically pushing me out the door. But it backfired.
Ravi: You found something?
Ashley: Yes, I sure did. I found a statement from a senior living facility in florida. Apparently while dina is footing the bill for graham, graham's footing the bill for somebody else, and it's costing him a hell of a lot of money.
Dina: Welcome back. How are things with your apartment?
Graham: I don't want to talk about that.
Dina: Uh, you seem upset.
Graham: When I got back, ashley was coming out of my room.
Dina: Oh, dear.
Graham: She said you wanted her to pick something up?
Dina: Oh, that's not true.
Graham: She lied. Big surprise. I wonder where she got a key. I'll check with housekeeping.
Dina: I gave it to her. Yes, I did. And I told her to snoop around to her heart's content.
Graham: Why on earth would you do that?
Dina: For your own damn good!
Jack: Well, autumn is in the air. I saw leaves falling from the trees.
Nikki: Hmm. We should come back when they start changing color.
Jack: Or we could just stay and wait, you know, count them all one by one.
Nikki: Hmm. I love that idea. If only we didn't have those responsibilities in the real world.
Jack: Hey, I can always delegate.
Nikki: Really? You would be willing to trade in your designer suits for flannel shirts and jeans?
Jack: For a chance to hang out with you, you bet I would.
Nikki: Hmm. That is rather romantic. You could grow a beard and chop wood, and I could gather berries and sing along with the creatures of the forest.
Jack: Wait, how about I sing and you chop the wood?
Nikki: No, there's a problem there.
Jack: What?
Nikki: Well, your singing's not quite as good as your cooking.
Jack: Then it's decided. We will use this place as an enchanted getaway for both of us.
Nikki: Wonderful.
Jack: So, what can I do to help?
Nikki: Um, actually, you can stay out of the kitchen, please. Um, I know. You can build a fire.
Jack: Done. Abby?
Abby: Uncle jack. Hi.
Jack: Hi.
Abby: I was surprised when i saw your car. I guess we had the same idea. Or we didn't have the same idea at all.
Nikki: Hi, abby. It's good to see you.
Abby: What are you two trying to do? Start the final newman/abbott war?
Nick: [ Sighs ] Just checking with faith to make sure she's okay. She insisted on having the sleepover at peyton's tonight.
Chelsea: Well, she's probably trying to show you that she's okay. Have you noticed that --
[ Cellphone chimes ] Oh, that was fast. What'd she say?
Nick: She gave the "I'm okay" emoji.
Chelsea: You don't look okay.
Nick: I'm just worried maybe she needed more time to process this, you know? Probably should have kept her home tonight.
Chelsea: Faith is resilient. She's going to be fine. Besides, in the moment, you have a bigger problem to be thinking about.
Nick: What's that?
Chelsea: Um, look around. This place is usually jumping by now. It's a graveyard.
Nick: Oh, look at that. I hadn't noticed.
Chelsea: And where's all your staff? What? Did everybody call in sick?
Nick: Gave them the night off.
Chelsea: Oh. Because it's so slow?
Nick: No. I, uh, wanted to shut the place down tonight.
Chelsea: Why?
Nick: 'Cause I wanted to spend some time with my girl. You know, I was trying to be romantic, so, surprise!
Chelsea: Seriously? Well, that's silly. I mean, you're the one that had the rough day. I should be doing something special for you.
Nick: Oh, you're gonna.
Chelsea: [ Laughs ] Is that so?
Nick: Yeah. But first, you know, let's eat. I had luis make up all your favorites.
Chelsea: Oh, appetizer heaven?
Nick: Yes.
Chelsea: You... are amazing. Hmm. I know what I'll do. I will make us specialty cocktails to go with those appetizers.
Nick: All right.
Chelsea: Yeah. We can call it the "nick and chelsea's empty club" cocktails. Two coming up right now.
Ravi: This -- this senior living center, it's one of the swanky places?
Ashley: $8,000 a month. Is that swanky enough for you? Yeah, whoever graham is subsidizing is enjoying a private suite with all the amenities that go along with it.
Ravi: Is there a name on the bill?
Ashley: No, just his.
Ravi: It could be an aunt, an uncle, a distant cousin.
Ashley: Could be, except he told me and dina that he didn't have any living relatives. That's why he's so close to her.
Ravi: An elderly friend, an old teacher?
Ashley: Anything's possible. But $8,000? That's a lot of money for somebody that's not family. What if the whole oliver twist routine is just a big, fat lie?
Ravi: What are you doing?
Ashley: I am calling boca pointe active living residence.
Ravi: You're just gonna call them?
Ashley: Well, yeah. Why not? I need some answers.
Ravi: What are you gonna say? "Hi. My mom's trusted companion is lying, but I can't prove it. Can you help?"
Ashley: You're right. I got to come up with something better than that, right, because graham can't know that I'm investigating his past. I think I've got it.
Ravi: Okay.
Ashley: Hello. Could I please be connected with the bloodworth suite?
Ravi: [ Whispers ] What are you doing?
Ashley: Thank you.
[ Whispers ] They're transferring me. It's working.
Jack: We came here for peace and tranquility.
Nikki: Yes, the exact opposite of war.
Abby: Well, I came here to relax. So much for that idea.
Jack: Abby, this doesn't have to be awkward.
Abby: Oh, but it is. If my dad finds out that you two are here together...
Nikki: It won't be an issue. We're separated. I've moved off the ranch.
Abby: Right, but that never sticks. You always go back to him eventually.
Nikki: Well, this is a complex situation.
Abby: How so?
Nikki: I really don't want to talk about it.
Abby: With me? Because I'm a newman in name only. I'm not part of the charmed inner circle.
Jack: Wait, wait, wait. Where is this coming from?
Abby: Something is going on with the family, and it's been going on since way before the concert. Everyone has turned against my dad, and no one will tell me why.
Nikki: Honey, it doesn't concern you.
Abby: But he's my dad, nikki, and he's a wreck, so that makes it my concern.
Nikki: Look, victor has the ability to make anybody see what he wants them to see.
Abby: Well, what I saw was a distraught man, one who's lost the support of his children. He's afraid of losing his grandchildren.
Nikki: Has something happened?
Abby: Faith laid into him.
Jack: Odds are he brought that on himself.
Abby: Not this time, uncle jack. Nikki, please. Please don't hurt my dad, not now. He might not want to seem vulnerable, but he is. And if he finds out that you two are playing house together, it will break him. And then he will lash out, and that will not be good for anyone. I'm gonna go home. This was obviously a bad idea.
Jack: Drive safely. She got to you, didn't she? You want to go home? I'll take you.
Victor: I want to speak to my son alone, all right?
Chelsea: Nick and I are raising your grandchildren together now. We're a team.
Victor: Does that mean you're in on the decision to turn faith against me?
Nick: That's not what she said. I did no such thing. I told my daughter the truth. It was my decision.
Chelsea: And I'll do the same with connor. I've always felt that it was important for him to have a relationship with you. It gives my little boy a connection to his dad. It's what adam would have wanted, but, victor, please, if you go behind my back, if you try to undermine my connection with my son, you won't see connor anymore. No one gets to use my son as a weapon in their personal battles.
Nick: [ Sighs ]
Victor: So is this what it's come to? You're turning everyone against me, poisoning my grandchildren against me?
Nick: That's your spin.
Victor: No, son. This one is on you.
Nick: [ Scoffs ] No, you're wrong. That's not how this works. This time the blame is on you.
"The young and the restless"
will continue.
Phyllis: It was a very good idea coming here.
Billy: Yeah, I have one every once in a while. You know, studies show that when people exercise, endorphins are released. And when they reach the opiate receptors in the limbic system, people experience happiness.
Phyllis: Okay, thank you, dr. Abbott.
Billy: [ Chuckles ] Not a doctor. Just read a bunch of pamphlets when I was in the waiting room while my mom was in icu. The truth is, I thought it'd be good for both of us to release a little tension, a little energy.
Phyllis: You know, you should have just dropped the science lesson and told me you like my cute outfit and wanted to see me work up a sweat.
Billy: That's just a bonus, okay? Come on. Let's hit the showers.
Phyllis: Nope! I am still keyed up. I need to use this energy. I need to get my endorphins firing.
Billy: Okay. Let's do some, uh, core work. What do you say?
Phyllis: Okay. Got it. Yeah. All right. I bet I can out-crunch you.
Billy: I'm sure you can.
Phyllis: No, I'm serious. I'm willing to prove it.
Billy: So a contest.
Phyllis: Yeah. You scared you gonna lose?
Billy: Starting now.
Phyllis: Oh.
Billy: 27, 28...
Phyllis: 38.
Billy: 39.
Phyllis: 49.
Billy: 47.
Phyllis: 60.
Billy: 67.
Phyllis: 100.
Graham: Encouraging ashley to poke around my room is supposed to be beneficial how?
Dina: Well, I wanted to end her suspicions once and for all.
Graham: Has she been asking questions about me again?
Dina: Well, yes. But badgering her doesn't help matters any.
Graham: How am I supposed to react? She's constantly cross-examining me and pumping you for dirt.
Dina: Well, perhaps you should sit down with her and hash things out.
Graham: You're being too cavalier about this. The woman violated my privacy.
Dina: And you're being too defensive. Why is that? Did she find something?
Graham: There's nothing to find. Ashley's paranoid. I have no secrets from her or anyone else.
[ Telephone rings ]
Mrs. Bloodworth: Hello?
Ashley: [ Southern accent ] Well, hi, there. May I please speak with mrs. Bloodworth?
Mrs. Bloodworth: This is she. Who's calling?
Ashley: Oh, well, this is cherry, and I'm with the southeast florida communications, and I am calling to offer you 25% off your long-distance phone bill. And do you know why? Because our company is brand new to the area of boca. So I was just wonderin', how about if you tell me how much you're payin'.
Mrs. Bloodworth: My son pays all the bills.
Ashley: Your son?
Mrs. Bloodworth: You should talk to him.
Ashley: Well, righty right. I will do that. Now, if I could just get a little bit more informa-- hello? Hello?
[ Normal voice ] That oily graham bloodworth is a liar.
Victor: Involving a child in an adult issue -- what's wrong with you?
Nick: You put faith in the middle of this. You went behind my back and went and saw her at her camp.
Victor: The fact that I went to see my granddaughter at camp, that is what set you off?
Nick: You filled her head with lies and then asked her not to tell anyone about it.
Victor: I was talking to her about a life-changing experience that she was about to face.
Nick: One you caused. But you didn't tell her about it. See, you don't get it. This is a 10-year-old little girl, and you put her in a terrible position. She had to cover for you to both her parents.
Victor: I did not tell her to lie!
Nick: Well, she did. You had no right to tell her about that move.
Victor: What? Were you gonna wait until she steps off the bus and then suddenly confront her with a change in her life that's gonna be traumatizing to her?
Nick: I don't need the parenting lesson, all right? You were out to sabotage the relationship I had with my daughter, to hate the move into the penthouse with chelsea before it even happened.
Victor: That is utter nonsense. I would never do that to my granddaughter. And I'm sure she didn't implicate me when you finally dragged the truth out of her.
Nick: Faith isn't the one who told me. It was mom. Mom called the camp and found out that you went behind our backs.
Phyllis: Show me what you got. Show me what you got!
Billy: Okay.
Phyllis: Yeah! All right, that was adequate.
Billy: Adequate, yeah. I think it's probably better that we, uh, skip the trash talking. What do you say?
Phyllis: Uh-huh. Did I hurt his feelings? I'm sorry.
Billy: No, no, no. My feelings never get hurt. I just think it's better to motivate and not devastate, you know?
Phyllis: Really?
Billy: For instance, you know, I'm kind of shocked how much you can benchpress.
Phyllis: Oh, okay. So where's the motivation in that statement? 'Cause all I hear is a backhanded compliment. You see, I'm gonna be in awe if you don't hit like a girl.
Billy: [ Chuckles ]
Phyllis: How's that for motivation?
Billy: Oh, yeah? You want motivation? I'll show you right now.
Phyllis: Okay.
Billy: I can motivate to prove you wrong.
Phyllis: Oh, let's see it.
[ Laughs ] All right. All right. I'm impressed.
[ Laughs ] Good. Whose face are you imagining?
Billy: Jack'S.
Phyllis: Yeah.
Billy: One of many.
Phyllis: [ Laughs ] Very good.
Billy: You're up.
Phyllis: Okay. Here it goes.
Billy: Show me what you got. That's a good, little form you got there, phyllis.
Phyllis: Yeah. Want me to teach you some moves?
Billy: Yeah. Let me guess -- are dina's teeth flying with every punch?
Phyllis: Oh, no. I forgot all about that old bat.
Billy: Nice!
Phyllis: Yeah!
Billy: Attagirl. Okay.
Phyllis: [ Laughs ]
Billy: What do we got here? Two, four.
Phyllis: What are you doing?
Billy: Just counting up the points. After calculating and re-calculating...
Phyllis: All right. Come on. Get on with it already.
Billy: I have it on good authority that this right here...
Phyllis: Uh-huh?
Billy: This is a draw.
Phyllis: [ Laughs ] It's not going down that way, abbott. You know why? 'Cause this is not over. First person to the sauna naked wins.
[ Chuckles ]
Billy: Boom. I win.
Phyllis: Flag on the play. You're not naked.
Billy: Doesn't matter. I'm not gonna give it away for free. What if somebody walks in here like that? I ain't gonna --
Phyllis: I win.
Billy: Wow.
Phyllis: The bet was...
Billy: Forget the bet. I get to see you like this. That means I win.
Phyllis: According to the rules...
Billy: Forget the rules. We're gonna go to the judges on this one. Judges? Ruling stands.
Phyllis: Then I think we will call it a tie.
Billy: Oh, now you want to call it a tie?
Phyllis: Mm-hmm.
Nick: You got to stop throwing blame around. This isn't my fault, nor is it mom'S.
Victor: Ohhh. Poor boy. You're so innocent, aren't you?
Nick: Compared to the stunts you've pulled, we are.
Victor: You've been looking for an excuse to keep faith away from me! I guess now you've got it!
Nick: [ Scoffs ] I've had many reasons over the years to do that, but I never have. I'm not gonna forbid faith to see you.
Victor: So you say now.
Nick: I'm not. I keep telling myself I'm keeping faith out of this conflict because it's good for her. But it's really to protect you. I'm not doing that anymore.
Victor: Is that how you want it, son? You've got it. From now on, there will be no protection of you, either. Remember that.
Nick: [ Sighs ]
Chelsea: Safe to come out? I take it that didn't go well.
Nick: Like you said, you know, we made our feelings known. The lines have been drawn. There's no going back.
Jack: For someone who didn't want to leave, you don't seem to be having a very good time.
Nikki: I'm sorry. I can't help it. I was looking for an escape, but I guess there isn't one.
Jack: Don't let my niece and her hysterics get to you. Victor is working overtime. He's laying it on thick, trying to hold on to any family member who's still willing to stomach him.
Nikki: Abby's not the only one who doesn't approve of our relationship. Your mother has some choice words for me, as usual.
Jack: Well, no girl is ever gonna be good enough for her little boy.
Nikki: Oh, I know that. And you can be sure victor's gonna come up with some creative way to get back at us for daring to enjoy each other's company.
Jack: Listen to me. Abby and dina may know victor, but they don't know us. We have agreed there's no more hidden agenda here. We are not together to spite the man or to make him jealous.
Nikki: Yeah, but it's not gonna change his reaction.
Jack: Then bring it on.
Dina: I apologize if i overstepped. But ashley should back off now that her curiosity's been sated.
Graham: And if she doesn't? What will you give her next? Access to my bank accounts, my passport?
Dina: No need to get snippy.
Graham: The woman treats me abominably, yet you go right on enabling her. Ashley barely tolerates your presence, which hurts you. I've seen it! But she still gets the benefit of every doubt, even though she has no faith in your judgment and still hasn't forgiven you for things that have happened decades ago! So why are you so desperate for her approval?
Dina: Because I owe her.
Graham: For what? Ending a marriage that was wrong from the start? Living your life?
Dina: I'm the reason she can't trust anyone.
Graham: How's that your fault?
Dina: [ Voice breaking ] Because...I lied to her for years. For years. And when she finally found out the truth, it nearly destroyed her.
Graham: What truth?
Dina: [ Sobbing ] John abbott wasn't her father.
Phyllis: [ Chuckles ] Okay, that was, like, so much better than a romantic dinner.
Billy: Yeah, it was.
Phyllis: No, not just that. The whole night.
Billy: You know, what made it perfect, besides not being caught during our awards ceremony, we didn't mention work.
Phyllis: [ Sighs ]
Billy: Once.
Phyllis: I know. You know why? Because blocking that stuff out makes life better when we focus on one another, you know. But unfortunately, tomorrow we're gonna have to start punching the clocks.
Billy: Whatever. In a few hours.
Phyllis: Really? Are you suggesting that we go back into the gym and do some more crunches? Because I'm down with that.
Billy: No, I'm not suggesting that at all.
Phyllis: Really? You think the elliptical, the treadmill, the speed bag?
Billy: Nope.
Phyllis: Then what is it that you want?
Billy: Push our luck. See if we can avoid getting caught again.
Ashley: I'm certain that woman on the phone was graham's mother.
Ravi: Did she mention him by name?
Ashley: No! No, she didn't, but she said her son pays all her bills. And it was graham's name on the statement to the facility.
Ravi: Okay. So what if you're right? I mean, it's not a crime for a son to pay his mother's bills.
Ashley: Ravi, obviously not, but why is he lying? Why did he tell dina and me that both of his parents are dead? Why is he saying he has no living relatives when clearly he does?
Nikki: This is nikki.
I'm not around right now.
Please leave a message and I'll
call you back.
Victor: You have made your loyalties clear. Damaging my relationship with my granddaughter faith comes at a cost.
Jack: We can handle victor. We have before. He will never dictate my life again. I thought you felt the same way.
Nikki: I do.
Jack: Then to hell with what he or anyone else thinks.
Nikki: What does this mean for us?
Jack: I don't know. But look where we are right now.
Nikki: Hmm.
Jack: Breathe it in. This is our time, nikki. This is our place. And no one can take this from us.

Victor: I told you the day would come that I would need a favor from you. Well, the day is here. I want you to come back to genoa city.
