Episode # 11207 ~ Victoria cleans house; Chloe makes a desperate move; Jordan comforts Lily.

Provided By Suzanne

Billy: You spend the whole night here?

Victoria: No. Slept well. Had breakfast with the kids.

Billy: Reed slept in, of course.

Victoria: Of course. And, uh...I decided to settle the lawsuit with Juliet.

Billy: Wow. That was a 180.

Victoria: Well, it was the right decision. It was the only decision.

Billy: So, was it being blindsided by the videotape that clearly showed Juliet spending the night in cane's hotel room? Or maybe it was the amount of money that you were gonna spend taking it to trial.

Victoria: Mm.

Billy: Then again, you swore up and down and sideways that you would fight this and not settle a bogus harassment claim with Juliet. What changed, Vick?

Cane: Hey. Hey, do you want some coffee?

Lily: No, I'm good. Thanks. Uh, don't forget that we have the meeting with Mattie's teacher.

Cane: Uh, for the, uh, fall A.P. Test. Okay.

Lily: Yeah. And Charlie broke his phone.

Cane: Again? What did he do? Drop it in the pool?

Lily: I don't know. Kids, phones -- I told him he has to go without it, so if he comes to you...

Cane: What do you want to do? Give him another one? We have insurance on it.

Lily: No, I don't want to give him another one. He has to learn the value of things and that there's consequences to his actions. We can't just stop being parents because of what's happened.

Cane: We're never gonna stop being parents, okay? All right? But you know what? I think he should have a phone, 'cause he starts this new summer job.

Lily: Fine. Okay. I guess so. I guess with Juliet's pregnancy, we can't afford any more problems.

Jordan: Sneaking out?

Hilary: [Chuckles] I was just gonna order some room service. I thought I would surprise you.

Jordan: Yeah? What was you -- what was you gonna order?

Hilary: Mm...

Jordan: Velvet handcuffs?

Hilary: [Laughs]

Jordan: I just wanted to see that laugh right there. You know what? What I wouldn't do to photograph you right now.

Hilary: Yeah?

Jordan: Hell, yeah. I want to capture this sweet, sexy thing you got going on right now, before the predator wakes up.

Hilary: Ooh. Do you want me to behave, Jordan? Hmm? You want to reform me? Show me how.

Chloe: [Thinking] Kevin's gone. He's -- he's dead. Harris snapped, thinks you're his daughter. He killed Kevin. He killed Kevin. He --

Dr. Harris: Maggie, I made you breakfast. [Chuckles] [Sighs] I thought you'd be happier. We're celebrating, aren't we? I even got champagne for mimosas.

Chloe: I can't believe this is happening.

Dr. Harris: You don't believe your own father?

Chloe: I've wanted to be a doctor my whole life. I can't believe it's finally happened.

Dr. Harris: [Chuckles] I have never been so proud of you. [Chuckles]

Chloe: That's not true. You've always been proud of me. Dad. Uh, you know, um... can we look at our -- our photo album?

Dr. Harris: Why?

Chloe: Well, I-I want to look back at my life, remind myself of everything we did to get to this place.

Dr. Harris: [Chuckles] Excellent idea. Mm. [Sighs]

Chloe: [Chuckles] Youth soccer. So much fun.

DR. Harris: Mm.

Chloe: The coach was so nice.

Dr. Harris: You hated it. You quit midway through the season.

Chloe: Oh. I-I guess I forgot. [Chuckles]

Dr. Harris: Okay. Well, memory is a quirky thing, sweetheart. Sometimes, our brains trick us into believing our fantasies are real.

Chloe: [Chuckles] Prom. It seems like a million years ago.

Dr. Harris: You and your mother went on countless shopping trips to find the perfect dress. I certainly think you succeeded.

Chloe: I miss her so much.

Dr. Harris: So do I. I haven't been the same since she died. I never would have, uh... I never would have done the things I've done if she were here. I wish she could come back, like you.

Chloe: Could we go see her? At the cemetery? I haven't been at her graveside for s-- for so long. Please. Please, dad.

Billy: Pregnant. So much for cane's story that nothing happened in that hotel room. Why even go through the deposition? I mean, if Juliet knew this, she --

Victoria: Well, apparently, she just found out.

Billy: So, you didn't like your chances going to trial once this bombshell --

Victoria: The big, bad company picking on the poor pregnant woman is not a good luck, and whether or not Juliet was sexually harassed, the point is moot.

Billy: Cane lied, okay, Vick? Cane lied from day one. He screwed you over. He screwed this entire company.

[Door opens]

Michael: Oh, there you are. Good morning. Leslie and I spent the whole holiday hammering out the details to the settlement.

Victoria: [Sighs]

Michael: Here's the amount we agreed to.

Victoria: Is this the best you could do?

Michael: It was tough enough getting it that low. Leslie's tempted to let this whole thing play out in front of a jury. She seems very confident about the punitive damages she could get. But if you want me to keep trying --

Victoria: No, no. There's no point. The negative press could cost us 20 times as much. Damn it, I am so angry. I should have never taken cane's word. [Sighs] Oh, gosh. We could have mitigated so much of the cost if we had just had the truth. We've had so many losses. [Sighs]

[Pen scribbling]

Cane: Listen, I need to go and see Juliet today.

Lily: Are you kidding? Victoria and Michael already warned you.

Cane: I know.

Lily: Okay, well, then listen to them and listen to me. Don't go anywhere near her.

Cane: Well, I know she's lying about the sexual harassment.

Lily: It doesn't mean that you show up on her doorstep unannounced, cane. You know better.

Cane: All right, but it means I'd be an idiot if I take her word that this is my baby.

Lily: But pushing her now? The lawsuit?

Cane: [Sighs] We can't spend another day wondering if our kids are gonna have a sibling.

Lily: [Sighs] I know. We have to be prepared for the worst case.

Cane: All right, look, I know that it's gonna take me so long to earn your trust back, and I'm sorry, but...I hate myself for getting as drunk as I did that night in Japan. And I'm just so sorry.

Lily: Cane, it is not your night with Juliet that did this. It was your dishonesty. You should have just told me everything as soon as you got back.

Cane: I know. I didn't want to hurt you, sweetheart, 'cause I knew how painful it was gonna be.

Lily: No, instead I was humiliated when I found out. If only you had just been honest with me.

Cane: Well, it's too late for what-ifs. Listen, I'm gonna go and see Victoria and see if I can just deal with my choices.

Lily: Yeah, horrible choices that could devastate our children.

Charlie: I'm busy, too. I've got football camp and this lifeguard job.

Lily: Here. It's for your lunch.

Charlie: Thanks, mom. Have you seen my --

Lily: Yeah, it's behind the couch.

Mattie: Poor you -- running with jocks and hitting on girls. Thanks, mom.

Charlie: At least I have a life. Who goes to school during the summer if they don't have to?

Lily: Hey, hey, hey. Mattie works very hard, okay?

Mattie: I got invited to take this college course.

Charlie: Some invitation. "Dear nerd --"

Cane: Hey.

Mattie: Just because you can't spell "advances placement bio --"

Lily: Mattie, please stop.

Mattie: And you can't hang out with my on the GCU campus.

Charlie: I can't wait to care. Let's go.

Mattie: Without your work I.D.?

Cane: Hey. We're proud of you, okay?

Mattie: Thank you. Oh, and I, uh, meant to ask. Do you think that you could get me an internship at brash & sassy! This summer?

Lily: Why do you want to intern at brash & sassy!?

Mattie: Business and science -- it shows a diversity of interests, which will help me on my scholarship applications.

Cane: Uh, I just don't know if they offer internships.

Mattie: Ms. Newman would probably give me the opportunity if you asked her.

Cane: All right. Um...

Mattie: Dad, come on! You're her ace. You got her company into the Asian market.

Lily: You know what? Why don't you talk to, uh, grandpa Neil and uncle Devon? They just started their new business.

Cane: Yeah.

Charlie: Nah, it's too easy.

Mattie: For once, he's right. It'd look like I got the internship because I'm related to a billionaire. Dad, please, ask ms. Newman.

Cane: Okay, all right. Look, I don't know. Things are a little crazy right now, okay? But I'll see what I can do.

Lily: You know, you can get a part-time job at the coffeehouse.

Mattie: That's not really the type of thing that stands out on a college application.

Cane: All right. I'll -- I'll see what I can do.

Mattie: That'd be amazing.

Cane: All right, all right. Bye, sweetie.

Mattie: Bye, mom.

Lily: Bye.

Mattie: Where's your phone?

Charlie: Broken.

Mattie: Again?

Charlie: [Muttering]

[Door closes]

Cane: All right, listen, I need to know if this baby's mine, so I have to go and talk to Juliet today.

Lily: What if she doesn't agree to the paternity test?

Cane: Well, if that's the case, I'll go and get a court order. [Sighs] I got to go get my wallet. One sec. Last thing I want to do is talk to Billy today.

Lily: Well, I can't really muster up any sympathy for you.

Cane: I'll see you later, okay?

[Door closes]

Billy: Here we go.

Michael: Oh. All right.

Billy: Please.

Leslie: We're here to sign the paperwork and pick up the check. I appreciate how quickly we were able to settle this.

Michael: Ladies. Which is, by no means, an admission of guilt.

Leslie: Understood.

Michael: Mm.

Victoria: You know, even after these latest revelations, I still believe that Juliet is lying about the sexual harassment.

Leslie: Well, there is one point on which we can all agree is that we want to conclude this matter. Quickly.

Victoria: The amount agreed upon.

Juliet: Thank you.

Victoria: Before I give you this check, Juliet, there's something I need from you.

Hilary: Missing something?

Jordan: What's it gonna cost me?

Hilary: Ah, well, um... make me an offer. Mm! Careful now. Maybe I'm corrupting you.

Jordan: Yeah? Maybe I'm corrupting you.

Hilary: I wouldn't, uh, want you to, uh...

Jordan: To...?

Hilary: Uh, to...be, um, compromising your principles by being with me. So, um... what's your take on journalistic integrity?

Jordan: You think I came on too strong about the lawsuit when I thought that you were gonna slant the story, huh?

Hilary: Yep.

Jordan: Well, I may have been a little judgmental.

Hilary: No. There is nothing little about it.

Jordan: Let me make it up to you.

[Cell phone rings]

Hilary: Okay. Go, go. Take it. Take it.

Jordan: Sorry. Sorry. Lily, what's up?

Lily: Everything is insane.

Jordan: Whoa, whoa. Hold on. Hold on. What are you talking about?

Lily: I don't know. I'm just -- I'm upset. I'm confused. I -- [Sighs] Can you come over? I could just really use a friend right now.

Jordan: [Sighs] Sure. I'm on my way. [Sighs] Lily needs to talk.

Hilary: Yeah, I'm sure that she's, um, really going through it right now.

Jordan: Yeah. She didn't sound good.

Hilary: I'm sure she can use all the friends she can get right now.

Jordan: I'll call you later.

Hilary: Okay.

[Door closes]

Juliet: You can't suddenly add additional conditions to the settlement, Victoria. You can't force me to make some kind of statement.

Victoria: And admit that the sexual harassment never happened?

Billy: Vick...

Leslie: Juliet has agreed to sign a nondisclosure based on the pre-accepted terms.

Victoria: So she has. So I will make my statement just so that we're indisputably clear. If the details of my decision to pay you off and/or any other details of this settlement become known to anyone, your friend Hilary included, or any other media outlet, this settlement is voided. And I will personally see to it that you, Juliet, pay back every dime, including interest.

Juliet: I understand.

Michael: This is the nondisclosure form. Please sign where indicated. Thank you very much.

Victoria: We're done.

Billy: Juliet, Leslie, I'll walk you out. This is wrong.

Leslie: Billy, it's inappropriate to --

Juliet: Let him say it.

Billy: One of these days, you'll realize there was a better way to handle this.

Juliet: Believe me, I wish things had turned out very differently.

Lily: You lied to me about everything.

Cane: Sweetie --

Lily: No, you said nothing happened in your hotel room, and something did happen. And it makes me sick. [Breathing shakily]

Cane: Baby, can we go home and talk about this in --

Lily: I'm not talking about anything until you tell me the truth. I need to hear you say it.

Cane: I'm sorry, but I -- I didn't sexually harass her.

Lily: You slept with her! I saw the look on your face when Juliet said she was pregnant. Just don't lie to me. Just tell me. Tell me the truth.

Cane: We had sex.

[Doorbell rings]

Jordan: Hey.

Lily: Hi.

Jordan: I've been wondering how you've been since Juliet got to the hospital. So, what's going on? Is everything okay?

Lily: [Chuckles] Depends on what you think okay is. Juliet is pregnant.

Jordan: Damn. Did she...

Lily: Did she know? I mean, [Sighs] I guess not until they ran blood tests at the hospital. She seemed as shocked as you are. I couldn't believe it, but... it's true.

Jordan: This changes things.

Lily: Cane swears that it was just one night, that it meant nothing, and that there was no sexual harassment.

Jordan: But there's no denying that cane and Juliet slept together in Tokyo.

Lily: No, there's not.

Jordan: A baby.

Lily: Yeah.

Jordan: [Exhales deeply]

Lily: So now we have to find out if it's Cane's.

Jordan: Is there any doubt?

Lily: I mean, Juliet claims that she hasn't been with anyone else, but if she lied about the sexual harassment --

Jordan: If she's lying.

Lily: No, cane would never... [Sighs] Oh, I don't know what to believe anymore. I don't know what to think.

Jordan: Cane's been dishonest with you this whole time. How are you supposed to trust anything that he says?

Lily: [Sighs] This is his phone. I took it from his briefcase before he left. I was gonna go through every e-mail and text between him and Juliet.

Jordan: I'm guessing that you haven't.

Lily: It just makes me feel guilty even thinking about it.

Jordan: Well, get over that. You need to know what's going on so you can make informed decisions for you and your kids. If you can't trust what cane is telling you and what's really going on... you have the right to find out.

Jordan: Here. Let me do it.

Chloe: Please take me to mom's grave site.

Dr. Harris: Honey, I can't take you off this property.

Chloe: But you'll be with me.

Dr. Harris: It's against the rules.

Chloe: She'd be so proud of me, that I was valedictorian. I -- we could bring the diploma to her grave site.

Dr. Harris: Okay, I said no. Don't ask me again.

Chloe: Well, maybe -- maybe we could -- we could do it here, like you did with my graduation ceremony. Please? I just want to show her my diploma, even if it's pretend.

Dr. Harris: [Chuckles] I suppose that would be all right. Where did you put it?

Chloe: Um, over there.

[Thuds]

Chloe: Okay.

[Screams] [Muffled screaming]

Charlie: Outside food or beverages aren't allowed.

Reed: It's water.

Charlie: Yeah, well, water's a beverage.

Reed: Dude, I got it at the vending machine out by the locker rooms. Aren't you supposed to be policing the kiddie pool or something?

Charlie: All right, listen, guitar boy, you break the rules, I toss you. You mess with my sister --

Reed: Mattie can handle herself, since she's obviously got the brains in the family.

Charlie: Yeah, which is why it won't take her long to get bored of your wannabe-musician game, just like Zoey did. Hey, I'll tell you said hello, by the way.

Mattie: Hey. What was up with mom and dad this morning? Is it just me or are they acting kind of weird?

Charlie: Yeah, even more than usual.

Mattie: Right?

Charlie: I mean, at least that lawsuit's settled.

Mattie: But shouldn't they be happier about that, then? I mean, maybe it's settled but not over.

Charlie: I don't know. What gets me is that they think we don't notice, like we're in middle school or something.

Mattie: Whatever it is, I wish that they would just tell us.

Victoria: Juliet signed a nondisclosure agreement and took the money, so it's done.

Michael: At least the legal part's done. Anything else?

Victoria: No. Thank you for your help, Michael.

Michael: All right. We'll be in touch.

Cane: I'm sorry that I put you in this position. And I know I have a lot to make up for.

Billy: Well, congratulations, cane. You're gonna be a daddy.

Cane: I'm not gonna bring my personal business to this office, Billy.

Billy: That's a first.

Cane: Listen, I know how much I've cost you.

Victoria: Good. Then we don't need to discuss it any further, do we?

Billy: Well, if it was up to me, your salary would be paying for this settlement.

Victoria: Billy, that would be illegal. And right now, I don't need your input on how to run my business, okay?

Cane: Did you hear what she just said? Would you like to maybe respect that?

Billy: Oh, really? You're gonna give advice on company policy and behavior?

Victoria: Look, the only way to move forward from the events of the last couple of months is to stop dwelling on what went wrong and focus on the future and where we go from here.

Hilary: Hey.

Juliet: It's over.

Hilary: Uh, they settled?

Juliet: Yes.

Hilary: How much?

Juliet: I signed an NDA.

Hilary: Juliet, you don't need to worry about me gossiping.

Juliet: Oh, all I can do is worry. Yes, I got the money, but I am also pregnant, which I didn't expect or want. It changes everything.

Hilary: What are you gonna do about that?

Juliet: I'm still trying to figure that out. I've -- I've got a lot of decisions to make. I feel so alone. My co-workers at brash & sassy! Were the only other friends I had in this town.

Hilary: Well, you know that I'm always here for you.

Juliet: Thanks.

Hilary: And you know you can be honest with me. Now that everything's over, you have nothing to lose. Is cane really the father?

Juliet: Yes.

Hilary: Okay, I'm not judging.

Juliet: He's the only guy I've been with. It's his kid, Hilary. I am 100% sure.

Hilary: Okay, I believe you. I just doubt that cane will be that willing to take your word for it.

Juliet: [Sighs] Oh. I haven't talked to him alone since I got the news I was pregnant.

Hilary: You haven't seen him at all?

Juliet: He showed up at the office when Victoria was handing me the check.

Hilary: And?

Juliet: He didn't say a word. He didn't have to. One look said it all. He hates me. Probably wishes he never met me.

Hilary: Well, it's too late for that now. Cane's gonna have to live with the consequences.

Juliet: I just feel so guilty.

Hilary: About what? The baby? Or the sexual harass--

Juliet: I'm not lying about the baby. But like I've told you, there was never any...real harassment. Now, you and I are the only ones who will ever know that.

Dr. Harris: I'm sorry, Maggie. I don't know what's gotten into you today. You're usually so well-behaved. But I had no choice.

[Door slams]

Kevin: Get the hell away from her. Doc, you look like you've seen a ghost.

Dr. Harris: How --

Kevin: How? It doesn't matter how. Add attempted murder to your list of crimes. Chloe. Chloe. Don't move! Chloe, Chloe. Open your eyes, babe. What did you give her?

Dr. Harris: She's fine. I wouldn't hurt her.

Kevin: Chloe, open your eyes. Open your eyes. You can do it. Babe, open your eyes. It's gonna be okay. I'm gonna get you -- no! No!

[Gunshot]

Charlie: Just don't get all agitated, Mattie.

Mattie: Who says I am?

Charlie: Two more years and we're out of here. All right? Off to college. We only have to deal with mom and dad's weirdness on the holidays.

Mattie: Sometimes I wish I could be more like you and not care.

Charlie: I care. I care a lot. I just figure they'll talk to us when they're ready.

Mattie: Yeah. I guess so.

Charlie: I was hoping you wouldn't notice that loser.

Mattie: He's not. I did. And I'm gonna go talk to him.

Charlie: Whatever.

Mattie: Hi.

Reed: Hey.

Mattie: Are you okay?

Reed: Yeah, um, sorry. I'm just not used to seeing your face. It's normally buried in a book.

Mattie: Well, I'm done with class today, so...I'm a lady of leisure, basking in the sun.

Reed: Come on. Don't tell me you didn't bring your bio book in there.

Mattie: Don't you ever think about what you're gonna do after high school? I mean, this year, we're both gonna be juniors.

Reed: Yeah, it's a serious year.

Mattie: They're all serious years. Don't you want to go to college?

Reed: Yeah, but I'm planning on going to a school where I can major in music.

Mattie: Wow. Those schools are super-competitive.

Reed: I know. Which is why my audition has to be killer. Hopefully make up for my less-than-awesome GPA.

Mattie: Well, there's still time to get that up. I mean, junior year is, like, the best time to do it.

Reed: Maybe I'll just follow you around and get some of that 4.0 energy.

Mattie: 4.5. I'm going for a full AP load.

Reed: Wow. You really have everything mapped out, don't you? I barely know what I'm doing tomorrow.

Mattie: You have a summer job?

Reed: Sort of. My mom pays me to, uh, chauffeur my little brother and sister around, do a little extra babysitting. But I've mainly been improving my playing. Uh, I mean, I'm always so busy during school with homework and everything.

Mattie: Well, you have goals, so you're not a total slacker.

Reed: Hey, I'm not a slacker. Just because I don't have everything mapped out doesn't mean I don't have dreams, too.

Mattie: It's just fun to push your buttons. [Chuckles]

Reed: With all the classes that you're taking and...junior year coming, do you have any time to have fun?

Mattie: You sound like my mom. And, yes, I do. Actually, I'm even hoping for a summer internship at my dad's company. You know, résumé padding.

Reed: Yeah, colleges love to see that work experience.

Mattie: Exactly.

Reed: Where does your dad work?

Mattie: Brash & sassy!

Reed: [Chuckles] No way.

Mattie: What? You use their body spray?

Reed: My mom works there. It's actually her company.

Mattie: Wait, what? Your mom is Victoria Newman?

Reed: [Chuckles]

Mattie: [Chuckles]

Victoria: From this point on, clean slate. My intention is that brash & sassy! Will not only recover its losses but that we, as a company, will only become stronger. My goal was and it continues to be to build us into the most profitable cosmetics line in this country.

Cane: I understand. And I will do whatever it takes to help you achieve that.

Billy: You've got to be kidding me. You're gonna do whatever it takes, cane? We're in this hole because of you. There was at least a dozen times that you should have owned up to what you did and stopped this madness. But, no, your first thought is to protect yourself. Forget about the company or anybody else involved, right?

Victoria: Billy...

Billy: Instead of admitting to what you did, you lied about it. You tried to cover it up. And you almost took down the entire company in the process.

Victoria: Billy, this isn't productive, so if you can't contain yourself, then please leave.

Billy: That's good. I could use some air.

Cane: Thank you.

Victoria: Billy wasn't wrong.

Lily: What did you find out?

Jordan: Lots of texts from Juliet. "The meeting with Sato has been moved." Gives an address and time. A reminder about proper etiquette.

Lily: Okay, what about after Tokyo? What -- what's after that?

Jordan: Juliet -- "did you talk to Victoria yet?" Juliet -- "any word?" Juliet -- "got your message. Dying to talk to you."

Lily: Did cane write back?

Jordan: Uh...cane -- "catch flight to meet Victoria regarding job ASAP." Juliet -- "thanks. On my way." Cane -- "I told Vick you're the best."

Lily: You're not just skipping the bad parts, are you, trying to spare me?

Jordan: I'm reading everything that's here.

Lily: [Sighs] "Oh, my god. This meeting is so boring. Shoot me those numbers as soon as you've got them."

Jordan: "Can't believe Vick can't see how incompetent Billy is." Lots like that. They come across like cane was getting Juliet to be his business ally, but there's nothing here that indicates that they were having an affair.

Lily: So, they're just work friends. I mean, there's no flirting. There's no intimacy, no hint that Juliet was pressured in any way.

Jordan: That doesn't change the fact that he got drunk, he slept with her, and got her pregnant. Then he lied to you for months. Lily... you deserve better.

Kevin: I should shoot you for trying to kill me again! Instead, I'm just gonna steal your car, since you blew up mine. Chloe... Chloe, babe, get up. Come on.

Chloe: No, don't...

Kevin: I got you. I got you.

Chloe: Don't.

Kevin: Come on. Come on. It's okay. Come on.

Dr. Harris: [Muffled] Maggie! Maggie!

Kevin: I got you. It's okay. Let's go.

Kevin: Chloe? Chloe, I need you to focus for me.

Chloe: Kevin.

Kevin: Hey. There you are.

Chloe: This is a dream?

Kevin: No dream. I'm here.

Chloe: My badass. You came back to get me.

Kevin: Yeah. We're safe now. I'm gonna protect you.

Chloe: [Sighs] Dr. Harris...

Kevin: There is nothing he can do now. He is not gonna be a problem anymore.

Chloe: He'll be mad that we left. He'll come after us.

Kevin: He can't. If he tells anyone, he's gonna be charged with attempted murder. That should keep him quiet forever.

[Engine starts]

Mattie: You're a Newman.

Reed: My last name's Hellstrom, but, yeah, I'm one of them.

Mattie: [Chuckles]

Reed: Well, who's your dad?

Mattie: Cane Ashby.

Reed: No way. I've met him. He's one of my mom's main guys over at b&S.

Mattie: Yeah, he is. Small world. [Chuckles]

Reed: That's crazy. My mom's always talking about him. I guess they work together a lot. [Chuckles] Man, this is so cool.

Jordan: Why are you putting yourself through this, lily?

Lily: [Sighs] I don't know. I just need to give cane some time to...

Jordan: What? Cheat on you again? Why don't you just kick him the hell out?

Lily: Because a few years ago, I had an affair. And it wasn't just one drunken night. And cane forgave me, and I feel like if I can't forgive him, then that makes me a hypocrite.

Jordan: Hey, don't do this to yourself. You can't just let the guy off like you deserve this. You don't. And if that's how he sees it, how he'd justify it, then that's more of a reason for you to walk away.

Lily: You say that like it's so easy, like I don't love him. Uh, look, I just found out about this, okay? I-I-I'm mad. I'm hurt. I have to figure things out. I can't just walk away from my family.

Jordan: Okay.

Lily: But I also can't forget the fact there's a woman across town who may be pregnant with cane's child.

Hilary: Juliet, never forget that you were a victim of injustice. Okay, you were fired because you were the last hired. They owe you for that. You just -- you fudged the details a little.

Juliet: And ruined the reputation of the one person at that company who had my back.

Hilary: Okay, cane was the one that was lying about everything. You're not responsible for that. Listen to me. Here are the objective facts -- okay, you -- you slept with cane. He got you the job there. And you took the fall for everyone else's mistake. Then you were fired. Now you're pregnant. You deserve compensation for everything that you've been through. Okay, just think of the money as payment for your pain and your suffering.

Juliet: I've got to talk to cane alone. Maybe I can make him understand.

Hilary: The last thing that you can count on at this point is cane understanding. Okay, that's why the money is gonna be such a big help. Being a single parent -- trust me, it is -- it's tough.

Juliet: What do you mean single parent? Cane's the father.

Hilary: You want him to be involved?

Juliet: No matter what he says or how he feels, this is his child, too.

Victoria: You did lie, cane. Repeatedly. For weeks.
