Episode # 10916 ~ Cane's world is rocked; Stitch risks it all to defend Max; Ashley stands her ground with Hilary.
Provided By Suzanne
Phyllis: Look at us. We're the power couple. The Abbott-winters foundation is getting off the ground, the pass key profits are through the roof. We're an impressive team.
Jack: Indeed we are. Let's hope our good fortune spills over into your latest obsession.
Phyllis: Which is?
Jack: Your mission to get Billy and Victoria back together.
Phyllis: That is done and over.
Jack: Willingly?
Phyllis: As opposed to?
Jack: I don't know. Billy deciding enough is enough and giving you the big kiss-off.
Abby: How did the fire in the server room get started? You must know by now. And what was damaged? Because that's the key to figuring out what happened.
Neil: For someone to set that fire deliberately, it doesn't make sense. I mean, I'm -- I'm just thinking thank god no one got hurt here.
Abby: I was hurt. My baby was hurt. Not in this fire, but before. Everything that that kid did to me. And if I were you, I would be worried about the safety of the other guests at your hotel while that little arsonist is staying there.
[Knock on door]
Stitch: [Sighs] Unless you're here to apologize, turn around and walk away.
Dylan: Stitch, I don't like this, either. The arson crew found evidence that the fire was deliberately set.
Stitch: Yeah? Well, good luck with your investigation, but don't even look at my son.
Dylan: I need max's fingerprints and a sample of his DNA.
Hilary: No, that is great. Yes, well, get back to me sooner rather than later, 'cause things move quickly around here. Yes. Okay, thank you.
Ashley: Oh, please don't get off your call on account of me, even though you're 15 minutes late for the meeting that you requested.
Hilary: Well, actually, that was a business call. And trust me, it was worth the wait.
Ashley: Was it the patient that almost died? Is he getting better?
Hilary: No, no, that was, um, someone from "60 minutes," and they might be interested in discussing our breakthrough on air.
Ashley: They want you to give an interview?
Hilary: Yeah.
Ashley: An internationally respected investigative news program?
Hilary: Isn't it fantastic, hmm?
Ashley: No, 'cause it's not going to happen. I'm not going to let you destroy us on TV, Hilary.
Phyllis: Billy did not give me the kiss-off. I am just backing away from him and his romantic life. And I have plenty of other things to deal with. Billy's on his own.
Jack: So, what brought about this change of heart?
Phyllis: You. I should be focusing on you... and us and jabot and my daughter, things that I can have an impact on. And Billy is Billy. And you were right. He is in self-destruction mode, and no amount of cheering him on will help him get back with Victoria. It'll only blow it up, anyway.
Jack: This is nothing new for my brother. It's part of his dubious charm. He blows things up. Some women find that very attractive. As a matter of fact, a prime example is right here in this room.
Stitch: Fingerprints and DNA? Max is a child.
Dylan: This is the best way to prove that max is innocent.
Stitch: By treating an 8-year-old like a criminal?
Dylan: Come on, stitch. You're in a hotel room without your wife. Obviously things have gotten out of control. We can put this to bed today if you work with me on this.
Stitch: You're asking me to tell my little kid that people think he's capable of arson. Do you see how messed up this is?!
Dylan: Yes. But I give you my word. I'll put a rush on it. It will be over today.
Stitch: [Sighs] Hey, buddy. Uh, come here real quick.
[Door closes]
Stitch: Hey, I'm gonna -- I'm gonna need your help, champ. So, we're both sick and tired of people thinking the wrong things, right? So we're gonna shut all that down today. Couple tests and it's done.
Max: Fingerprints. Like for jail?
Stitch: No. I swear to you, nothing bad will happen. This is just to prove that you're the kid I know you are... and that others aren't the people I thought they were.
Dylan: All right, max. I'm just gonna rub this on the inside of your cheek, okay? It'll be quick.
Cane: I heard about max and Charlie and the fire alarm at crimson lights, but an actual fire?
Neil: In the server room, which means he thinks there's incriminating evidence on tape. That is pretty diabolical for a little kid.
Abby: Look, max would only set that fire if he thought that there'd be some proof that he made me fall, so, lily, I have to ask you, is there any possible way that max overheard that the police were coming to look at that footage?
Lily: Charlie and max were playing while Devon and I were talking. I mean, max might have overheard us.
Abby: Can I talk to Charlie? He's a good kid. I know he would tell me the truth.
Cane: Uh...
Neil: Wait, wait. I understand your concerns, but maybe you should let lily and cane take care of this.
Abby: Of course. But please, I am begging you, we have to find out if max is out of control, 'cause god only knows what would happen next.
[Both sigh]
Lily: God, what a nightmare to wonder if your child is that angry and destructive.
Cane: What do you want to do? You want to talk to Charlie about this?
Lily: I mean, Devon and I tried to, and he just shut down.
Cane: How do you want to handle it?
Neil: Tell him honest is the best policy. Don't be angry with him. And the most important thing is, make sure that he knows that you love him.
Lily: Yeah, I mean, that's what you've always did with me.
Neil: You know what it is? I think that kids are afraid of letting their parents down, that they're gonna lose out on that love. I'm guessing that that's why max is acting out.
Lily: So, do you want to do this together?
Cane: Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Lily: All right. Thanks, dad. I'm gonna go get Charlie.
Cane: Okay.
Neil: Bye.
Cane: [Sighs]
Neil: Hey. It's gonna be okay. I'm sure that you two -- you know instinctively what to do.
Cane: Yeah, I don't know if I do, 'cause I didn't have a role model growing up like you, you know? Hey, listen. I'm grateful that we have one good grandfather in their life, you know, someone they can look up to and respect, and I want to thank you for that.
Neil: Hey, hey, no. Stop that. I haven't been a good role model as of late. You know, I've been having my own issues. What do they say? Sometimes you can be your own worst enemy.
Hilary: I'm the one handling publicity for this company, and obviously "60 minutes" would be an excellent platform to get our message out to the public.
Ashley: Hilary, the last time you got our message out to the public, it consisted of you throwing Neville and me under the bus.
Hilary: [Scoffs]
Ashley: And if you undermine him, you're actually undermining all of us. Do you understand that?
Hilary: What I did was called drawing focus. I kept the attention on me, okay? The success story, the medical miracle. And I am the reason why this trial even got approved.
Ashley: You're the reason the trial got pushed through before it was ready, Hilary!
Hilary: [Scoffs]
Ashley: If you hadn't jammed it down our throats, this setback with the patient never would have happened!
Hilary: Oh! So that -- that is your argument, huh? That -- that you and Simon aren't good enough at your jobs? Well, maybe I have more faith in dr. Neville than you do.
Ashley: You know damn well that's not what I'm saying.
Hilary: Well, you know, I think he might look at this as motivation to succeed, but instead, you just lick your wounds and hide out in my office.
Ashley: You really enjoy being horrible, don't you? Let me guess -- you think that somehow it makes you special? Is that what it is? It's interesting? I got news for you. I've known lots of horrible people in my life, and you're not even the worst, at least not yet. And you want to know something else? I get that you think you're pretty powerful because you have Devon's money behind you, but... the Abbotts have a lot of clout. I guess what I'm trying to say is you better start watching your step.
Phyllis: That woman looks awfully familiar.
Jack: That woman is Fiona Henley, former model, now current serious buyer.
Phyllis: That's right. Fiona. She puts jabot on the shelf. She moves a ton of units.
Jack: Yeah. Smart and lovely. Billy always had great taste in women. Only now he's playing hard ball, using Fiona to get brash & sassy a little push in the market. Our newest competitor is now working our biggest buyer.
Phyllis: And he just had to bring her here?
Jack: Oh, see and be seen. You're right. Billy is in self-destruct mode, only Fiona doesn't know that. She just knows that each of them wants something the other might have.
Billy: Exactly, which is why I like meeting outside of the office.
Fiona: So your brother can stare at us? Is that a glare?
Billy: [Clears throat]
Fiona: Either way, I assume this location wasn't an accident.
Billy: You know how it is. Business is about perception. Especially our business.
Fiona: Our business?
Billy: Yeah. Beauty, glamour, lifestyle. We present an aspirational image, more fun, more exciting, more attractive. But I don't have to tell you that. Look at you. You're the whole package. You have real cred in this industry, Fiona, and I could use somebody like you to boost brash & sassy in the market.
Fiona: I already sell jabot.
Billy: Things change. We can change them.
Fiona: I'm not gonna dump jabot for you. I'm not that easy.
Billy: I would be sad if you were. But believe me, I plan to earn this, and I plan to work very hard. And I'm just getting started.
Lily: So, mommy and daddy have to talk to you.
Cane: Okay, now, it's not gonna be scary, all right? It's just the three of us sitting here, and we want you to know that whatever we talk about, it's not gonna be repeated, okay? All right? Listen, you know we love you? Right?
Charlie: Yeah.
Cane: You know we trust you? Yeah? Okay.
Lily: And we know the fire was really scary for everyone, and that's because a lot of people could have gotten hurt.
Cane: Right, and we have to make sure that doesn't happen again, so we have to ask you just a couple questions, all right?
Charlie: Mm-hmm.
Lily: So, can you tell us how the fire got started?
Dylan: Max's fingerprints are at the station and cheek swab's at the lab right now.
Abby: How angry was Ben?
Dylan: Uh, well, he didn't punch me in the face, but he is pissed, and I can't say that I blame him. I mean, he feels like everybody's attacking his son. And that parental reflex just kicks in.
Abby: You think I don't understand, but I do. Even though my baby wasn't born, I still wanted to protect her. I'm still trying. And max needs help. If we keep ignoring the fact that he's responsible for my fall, he won't get the help that he needs.
Dylan: Wait, wait. Hold on. We don't know that max caused any of this yet -- your accident or the fire.
Abby: I know. And I wish to god it wasn't true, but it is. And now my baby is gone and my -- my husband is living in a hotel.
Dylan: Okay, I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself, because we don't have the results yet.
Abby: What happens if we find out that max was in that room when the fire started?
Dylan: [Sighs] Uh... social services gets involved. Treatment, some kind of therapy.
Abby: Legally?
Dylan: Legally, I don't know. He's young, but there could be some legal ramifications, yeah.
Abby: [Sighs] Ben just got his son back. He loves max so much, but he can't see it. Max is dangerous. And it terrifies me that Ben is the next person on his list.
Billy: I am a huge fan of beauty. I've always been a fan of beauty. I am pro-beauty. But I also like profit.
Fiona: Wow. So you like beautiful things and money. It's rare to hear someone admit something so controversial in public.
Billy: Well, I speak the truth, and I don't really care who hears it. Beauty and profits -- that's where my head's at right now, so really this is about as good as it gets for me.
Fiona: Even better than jabot and the internet-security project?
Billy: If I was still a part of that project, I wouldn't be sitting here having a drink with you, would I? And I'm glad I didn't miss that opportunity.
Fiona: I've dealt with brash & sassy before. It was a headache. Newman enterprises is not the easiest company to work with sometimes.
Billy: [Sighs]
Fiona: And Victoria? She can be rigid.
Billy: Well, you don't have to worry about Victoria or the Newmans, because I run the brand now. And I plan to invest in massive ad buys and have a heavy presence in social media. You can think of brash & sassy as young and spending now.
Fiona: Somebody's ready to go all in. That's what I like to hear.
Phyllis: Honey, why are you still staring at them?
Jack: When Billy first bought brash & sassy, I thought he was trying to get under Victoria's skin. Now I realize he wants to stick it to jabot and me. This was all part of the plan.
Phyllis: Billy's being Billy.
Jack: Now, that's the second time you've said that. What exactly does that mean?
Phyllis: He is being in your face defiant because he can't help it. He still thinks he's a kid. So he's acting like one. Let him try and poach Fiona. He can try to get her to buy his product instead of ours. What's he gonna do? Charm her with his smile and a round of drinks?
Jack: Oh, I think he's willing to go well beyond that.
Phyllis: Yeah, well, Fiona is very smart. She's gonna see through his charm act. Everybody does eventually.
Jack: This from Billy's biggest fan.
Phyllis: I am not Billy's biggest fan, not anymore.
Jack: Wow. You say that like you mean it.
Fiona: [Laughs] Check, please!
Phyllis: Hi, you two! Nice to see you.
Jack: Lovely as always, Fiona. I guess Billy's told you about his latest acquisition. Uh, a good product. Not jabot, but a nice, little company.
Billy: He means younger, fresher, a lot more vibrant.
Fiona: Ease up, boys. There's enough room on the shelf for both brands.
Jack: You never pushed brash & sassy before.
Fiona: Well, Billy was never selling it before. I like what he's selling.
Phyllis: Please sit. Tell us more. We'd love to hear.
Billy: It's up to you.
Phyllis: It'd be fun.
Fiona: Of course. We can stay for a bit longer.
Jack: Billy, could I have a moment with you?
Billy: Sure. Anything for you.
Fiona: He really is something, isn't he?
Phyllis: Oh, yes. That he is.
Cane: Now, you know your mom and I love you very much, and that is not gonna change. No matter what, that will never change, okay?
Lily: Charlie, I'm worried because I can see in your eyes there's something you're not telling us.
Cane: Okay?
Lily: Is that true?
Cane: You know it's okay if you tell us. You can trust us. You know that, right?
Charlie: I stole the keycard and gave it to max. But he never mentioned anything about setting a fire.
Lily: Yeah, sweetheart, we believe you. We do. And thank you so much for telling us. And we're gonna talk later about taking things that aren't yours and lying to us, okay?
Cane: Okay, but right now, we want to let you know we're proud of you. We're proud for telling us the truth. Come here. Give me a hug.
Lily: Okay, save me one of those hugs. I'm gonna go call Dylan.
Cane: Okay. I love you, little buddy. Thank you for telling the truth.
Stitch: So, who's winning? You or the other guy? You know, we can go to the park later if you want. [Chuckles] You know, this place called the outside where the sun and the grass are? I used to go all the time with my buddies when I was a kid, cause a little trouble.
Max: Seriously? You got in trouble?
Stitch: Sure. There was -- there was this one time I-I might have been convinced by my buddies to egg a house down the street. Old man nelson's place. It was great fun that night, and then the next morning, of course, I saw Mr. Nelson cleaning up, hosing down everything. Man, did I feel guilty. I even helped him wash off the house.
Max: You think I set the fire. That's why you're talking to me about feeling guilty.
Stitch: Hey, no, no, max. What? No, max, I'm -- I'm not saying that. I'm just... I'm trying to talk to you, son, find out if there's more to all this. If you and Charlie went in the server room and some type of accident happened... something you're afraid to tell me?
Max: You said you believed me! But you're as bad as Abby!
Stitch: Max! Hey, max! Max, come here! Max! Max! [Stomps foot] [Sighs]
Dylan: You know, people snap. They do things they normally wouldn't do. Hell, I'm one of them. I'm an adult, and I should have some self-control. But, you know, kids -- they have these feelings. They have these impulses. They don't know how to handle them.
Abby: Then you think max did it?
Dylan: No, uh, no. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that you, stitch, and max, you've had a tough couple of months. Just try to be there for each other. And I'll let you know when the forensic results are in, okay?
Abby: Thank you.
Ashley: What's this about forensic results?
Abby: Go. I'll explain it to her later.
Dylan: Okay. I'll see you later.
Abby: All right.
Hilary: By all means, I'd love to hear.
Abby: I will discuss it with my mother later.
Hilary: [Scoffs] Careful, Abby. All this sneering is gonna give you wrinkles.
Abby: Don't start with me.
Hilary: Mother and daughter oh-so-moody today. And Ashley was telling me that you Abbotts, you guys are just all so powerful. I almost ran and hid in my closet, but then I remembered that you are not as tough as you think you are.
Ashley: Bye! Thanks for the update! See you later! [Scoffs]
Abby: [Sighs]
Ashley: What is going on? Forensic evidence?
Abby: It's max. It's worse than we thought.
Dylan: Hey.
Lily: Hey.
Dylan: Got your message. What's up?
Lily: Yeah, it's not great. Charlie said that he stole the master keycard from the front desk, and he admitted that he gave it to max.
Dylan: [Sighs] This whole thing just got a lot messier.
Lily: Yeah.
Dylan: And I got to tell stitch.
Lily: I mean, they're just kids, you know, and max has been through so much.
Dylan: I know. I just gave that exact speech to Abby. But this is not looking good. And as a father, it's gonna feel like a kick to the gut for stitch.
[Cell phone chimes]
Lily: Is that about the fire?
Dylan: Yeah. Results are in.
Stitch: Max! Max! Can you hear me? I need you to listen. Look, I'm -- I'm sorry for doubting you. I mean it. I'm just -- I'm just trying to make sense of all this. People are all talking at me, getting inside my head and... I know you are innocent. You listening? I know you would never purposely hurt someone. I know that in my heart, little buddy.
Max: Then why'd you say that stuff?
Stitch: Hey. I shouldn't have.
Max: It's because of Abby. She wants me to be guilty. She'll probably lie and bribe people so you'll hate me and send me away. And that's what Abby wants. She wants me gone. Promise me she won't make you hate me. Promise me.
Stitch: I could never hate you, max. I could never hate you. Come here.
Hilary: So, I take it jack will be joining us for the meeting? You guys are gonna love my news. I have massive network interest in the medical research. Well, the interest is in me first, the research second, so I will be able to shine a spotlight on some of my other passions, like the Abbott-winters foundation, for example.
Neil: Hmm. Well, we don't want the kind of attention that you're selling.
Hilary: And what is that supposed to mean?
Neil: It means that you'd be sending the public the wrong message, confusing them about the foundation and the research. My bet is that they'd think that you're creating a pill to cure addiction.
Hilary: That's ridiculous. I am perfectly capable of discussing two different issues in one interview.
Neil: Hmm! And trash both of them like you have Neville and Ashley, just to make yourself look better.
Hilary: Stop making this personal, Neil.
Neil: Can I tell you something about yourself? You are a backstabbing egomaniac, and that is awesome for our foundation's image.
Hilary: Well, I think you will change your mind when you consider the ramifications.
Neil: What do you mean?
Hilary: Well, the information I have on you, Neil. It doesn't come with an expiration date.
Neil: No, what you really mean is that you are going to continue blackmailing me from here to eternity.
Hilary: Hmm.
Jack: You set this meeting to send me a message. Why not just tell me to my face?
Billy: It's not that complicated, jack. I needed shelf space, and I need Fiona's access.
Jack: With one of the biggest buyers of the country? You didn't think I'd notice that?
Billy: I didn't think about it.
Jack: What? Is this some kind of shot across the bow? You're letting me know brash & sassy is going after jabot's market share?
Billy: You just heard her. There's enough room on the shelves for both our brands.
Jack: Only there is never enough for you. You always want more.
Billy: [Sighs] Well, you know business. You grow your market or you die.
Jack: You stole brash & sassy out from under Victoria to stick it to her and to me.
Billy: When you fired me from jabot, I needed something to do with my copious free time.
Jack: You want to take me on, little brother, fine. It was stupid for you to go after the mother of your children.
Billy: Nope. You don't get to do that. You do not get to lecture me on family loyalty, not today.
Jack: Victor yanked Victoria's favorite division out from under her, and you helped. It was a cheap move, and it put you on the same side as victor.
Billy: Jack, don't ever say that again.
Jack: Punishing Victoria for asking me to fire you? That is as victor as it gets, little brother.
Billy: Okay. You want to compare me to the mustache? That's fine. You can do that. But just remember. You always lose to the mustache.
Phyllis: Fiona, I know that this looks like a very friendly business deal, but you have walked into a very complicated situation.
Fiona: The brother thing? That was clear about two seconds after Billy and I sat down. And I have a sister. I know how these things work.
Phyllis: Same here. There is something about sibling rivalry that -- that can get out of hand awfully fast.
Fiona: The brothers just want to get one over on each other. I simply want to use it to my advantage.
Phyllis: You want to lower your cost, pit them against each other?
Fiona: If they want to offer me better deals, I'm not about to say no.
Phyllis: Well, I don't know how that's gonna work out. I mean, you're gonna work them both up, and then you're gonna walk away with nothing.
Fiona: I love a challenge. Now all that's left is to close the deal.
[Footsteps approach]
Fiona: Shall we?
Billy: Read my mind.
Jack: Fiona.
Billy: Please.
Jack: Buying brash & sassy was as much about me as it was about Victoria. He wants war.
Phyllis: Not against you. I don't buy it.
Jack: Yeah, because you always give him more credit than he deserves.
Phyllis: Yeah, and you never give him enough. I just balance you out.
Jack: No, you do more than that. You push him until he's out of control. This is a perfect example.
Phyllis: Hang on. Are you telling me that Billy bought a cosmetics company because of me?
Jack: No, I'm telling you the two of you fed each other's obsessions for months. It was you against the world and, unfortunately, against me.
Phyllis: We were against
victor. It was never about you.
Jack: Every time you lied to me, every time you went to him instead of me, you made it about me.
Phyllis: Is this about you and Billy, or is this about you and me?
Jack: No, this is about you and Billy. Rage and anger and revenge. You stoked all those fires. Now look at him.
Phyllis: Listen to me. Victoria rejected him. You fired him. You have been punishing him and belittling him ever since you exiled him to Hong Kong I don't know how many years ago. That was you. All you. So whatever fresh hell is about to unfold, don't you dare blame it on me.
Fiona: It's a lot of house for just one man.
Billy: Wasn't supposed to be the world's biggest bachelor pad. Just turned out that way.
Fiona: It could use a woman's touch.
Billy: Yeah, well, feel free to pick out some new throw pillows -- if we strike up a good deal, that is.
Fiona: This is how you negotiate? Wine and pillow talk?
Billy: [Chuckles]
Fiona: Talking about pillows.
Billy: Hmm. Yeah. Well, if it works. Make me an offer.
Fiona: I like this game. I'm willing to offer you 16% less than I paid Newman for the same products.
Billy: You're serious.
Fiona: Very.
Billy: That kills my profits.
Fiona: But you'd have the same shelf space as jabot. Never mind the money. This way you can beat your brother at his own game.
Billy: You gonna say the same thing to jack?
Fiona: No. No, he'll take a sharper cut. I'm thinking... 25%.
Billy: My brother and I tangle, but I don't want to ruin jabot. I just want my company to be on top.
Fiona: Then you have to fight for it. Jabot stands between you and success. You have to get your products into the right hands.
Billy: [Chuckles]
Fiona: These hands. I'm offering you a win here, Billy. But if you choose not to take it, I still have your brother as backup.
Billy: You stick with me... and I'll stick with you. So let's make it official.
Fiona: A handshake?
Billy: The way I understand it, that's how deals are closed.
Neil: So, should I turn over the foundation to you, let you run everything?
Hilary: Don't be silly, Neil. You're the perfect figurehead. Everyone knows that you're a recovering alcoholic, and that makes you a role model for this project.
Neil: Hmm. I'm beginning to hate that label.
Hilary: Well, you should embrace it, Neil, because you are a beacon of hope. Even though you did, uh, follow me on my honeymoon, almost watch me die, and held me captive in a boathouse for months while your son was accused of my murder. What will your daughter and the public and, ooh, the police think of that?
Jack: Tell me you two are making progress, something to make this day not a total and complete waste.
Hilary: I have just the thing. Actually, Neil was telling me what a brilliant idea I had, hmm?
Abby: If he did set that fire, which clearly he did, it means he's responsible for my fall and he was trying to cover it up. So he went from assault to arson.
Ashley: Abby, he's a little kid. I mean, he's not a criminal mastermind.
Abby: Mom, you've said it a thousand times. He's sad about losing his mother. He's afraid to lose his father. He blames me for both of those things. And the result is an emotionally damaged, out-of-control, little boy.
Ashley: Honey, you don't know all this for a fact.
Abby: Mom! He was at the club when the police were going there to look at the security footage, and then suddenly a fire breaks out?!
Ashley: Couldn't it be a coincidence?
Abby: How is this happening? You are siding with -- with Ben and a little boy who is capable of doing things that I could never have imagined! But soon there will be proof, and then you and Ben cannot call me crazy anymore.
Stitch: Whoa! Did you see that? Look at that. Ooh, hey. [Chuckles]
Max: That's so lame.
Stitch: But it worked.
[Knock on door]
Max: Don't get it, please.
Dylan: Stitch!
Stitch: I'll get rid of him, all right? This is your chance to finish those fries. Hey. Hey. You want to talk to me, call me on my cell. You're not talking to my kid again.
Dylan: Out here, please.
Stitch: Sit tight, bud. This won't take long. Okay, look, I'm done with this witch hunt. I'm not humoring you or Abby anymore. I'm serious.
Dylan: We have proof... that max set the fire.
Ashley: Honey, I can see that you're upset. And you know what? The only side I'm on is your side because you're my child. But I have news for you. That's how Ben's gonna feel about max. I mean, it's a primal thing.
Abby: Hmm. And I can't understand that because I'm not a mother? Well, whose fault is that?
Ashley: That's not what I'm saying. Look, honestly, I don't know what's real and what's not real, but I hope to god you're not right about max, because if you are, if he's behind the accident and setting that fire, do you have any idea what that's gonna do to Ben? I mean, it's gonna tear his entire world apart.
Stitch: Okay, you know what? I don't want to hear another word unless you have some hard proof.
Dylan: Okay, uh, Charlie admits that he gave max the master key, and that's how he got into the server room.
Stitch: Okay, look, Charlie is a little kid. He probably said what he thought you all wanted to hear!
Dylan: Look, the system shows that the key was used shortly before the fire triggered the alarm. And we lifted prints from the room. Max is a match.
Stitch: Okay, so -- so -- so he was in the room.
Dylan: Yeah.
Stitch: Okay, may-- maybe him and Charlie were playing a game. It doesn't mean the fire was deliberately set!
Dylan: You're right. I know this is your son we're talking about, okay? I know what this means.
Stitch: Do you? 'Cause I don't think you do.
Dylan: Can we just talk to max, see what he has to say?
Stitch: Max! Max? The window's open. He's gone.
Jack: Free press on a network show with a great reputation? You're waiting for my okay? Run with it.
Hilary: Yes!
Jack: You did say Neil thought this was a brilliant idea?
Neil: Oh! Yeah, yeah. It works for me.
Jack: Wow. How about that? I think I needed proof that teamwork and cooperation could actually spell progress, at least once in a day. Nice job. I got another meeting, okay?
Hilary: Okay. My pleasure. [Sighs] See? That wasn't so hard, Neil, hmm?
Neil: I-I used to think that you were so beautiful, and now all I see is a conniving, ugly, nasty, little --
Hilary: Oh, ooh, I wouldn't go there, Neil. See, you need learn how to bite your tongue, unless you want to be exposed as the man who kidnapped me.
Neil: Hey, you --
Cane: You have got to be kidding me. You kidnapped Hilary?
[Pounding on door]
Billy: Relax! I'm coming.
Phyllis: Seriously? What are you trying to do? Destroy your relationship with jack, not to mention make me want to scream?
Billy: Please, come in. It's really nice to see you.
Phyllis: You shoved jabot's top buyer in jack's face. Why? Are you trying to make my marriage even harder?
Billy: Why would that happen? Does jack have something going on with Fiona?
Phyllis: Stop it. Jack knows that you are messing with him. And what does he do? He comes after me, because according to your brother, he thinks I am the person that turned you into a nonstop revenge machine.
Billy: Did he say that?
Phyllis: You know, maybe this isn't about goading your brother. Maybe it's about proving something to me, so I can see what a clever, handsome, desirable man you are.
Billy: I don't have to prove anything. You already know that. You made it clear. Twice.
Phyllis: That is never gonna happen again. Ever. You hear me?
Billy: Wow. Really?
Fiona: It seems clear enough to me. I think I'm ready to ride. How about you? I've waited long enough.
[Door closes]
Fiona: I am so sorry. Did I interrupt something?
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Abby: Wait. Max is missing?
Stitch: Okay, don't pretend like you suddenly care about my son.
Devon: I know that you blackmailed Neil and that you've been lying to my face about it.
Cane: I'm not gonna tell the entire world, okay? I'm only gonna tell just one person.
