Episode # 10790 ~ Jack & Phyllis fight for survival, while Stitch makes a surprising confession.
Provided By Suzanne
Paul: Unfortunately, the fire is burning hotter and faster than we anticipated. So you know what we're up against. We've got to get everybody out as quickly and efficiently as possible. I don't want any heroes here. I want efficient workforce. Don't get hurt. Let's get on it.[Static crackles]
Paul: Yeah, Dylan. What? Is that you? Go ahead.
Dylan: Yeah. Nikki and Victoria were evacuated to memorial. The chopper's on its way back to the tower to pick up some more people.
Paul: All right. Keep it up and -- and keep me posted. And, listen, this needs to go fast.
Dylan: Roger that.
Nick: Mom and Vick are okay. Thanks for that, Paul.
Paul: Okay. Well, you can thank me by getting out of here and joining your family at memorial.
Nick: I still have family up there, and I'm not leaving till I see they're okay. My mom needs to hear dad's okay.
Paul: I know, nick. I know how you both feel, believe me. I have loved ones up there, too. We are not giving up. But you need to get out of here and get out of our way and trust that we will do what needs to be done.
Nick: Well, I know my dad's gonna be okay. I just need to see it firsthand.
The wind is picking up. It's feeding the fire. Containment might not be possible.
Lauren: [Sighs] There's no communication.
Michael: Uh, the phone lines and the networks are all damaged.
Lauren: Yeah, but even when I can get through, there's no new information.
Michael: We're gonna have to wait for the next chopperful of people to tell us what's going on up there. Kevin, have you been able to find out anything?
Kevin: I'm checking the Newman security system now to see how paragon corrupted it.
Michael: Is that my computer?
Kevin: Yes.
Michael: It's password-protected.
Kevin: It was. That held me back for about five seconds.
Mariah: Shh! Quiet. Nice.
Michael: Oh, take her home, for god's sake.
Kevin: We're invested in this. We want to be here when people make it out.
Lily: Ugh! Mattie and Charlie are asleep. Thank god for kids who can sleep through anything. Any news?
Lauren: No. Nothing yet.
Michael: Well, we do know that more people are waiting to get on the next chopper.
Lauren: I'm sure cane --
Lily: No, I'm -- I'm sure he's fine. I just wanted to have good news for the kids.
Victoria: [Sighs]
Lily: Did you get them to rest?
Victoria: Yeah. They're quiet for the time being. Faith is helping out. She loves being the older cousin.
Michael: [Chuckles]
Lauren: Where's your mom?
Victoria: Uh...I don't know. She said she had something to do.
Nikki: It's me. Well... it's Mae west. But you knew that. I don't really know how... appropriate it is to be wearing this to pray, but... I'll make a deal with you. If you don't judge, I won't, either.
Victoria: I know she's tired, but I'm giving her a hug.
Mariah: Oh, my gosh.
Victoria: You guys are the heroes of the night.
Mariah: These people and their hugging.
Victoria: Thank you for everything.
Mariah: You're welcome. I'm -- I'm glad we could help.
Chelsea: You both were amazing. I-I can't thank you enough, and I know Adam will be really grateful to you.
Kevin: Well, we're glad Connor's okay. We kept a careful eye on him. But, frankly, I don't care how grateful Adam is.
Chelsea: Understood. Okay. Well, I'm gonna go see Adam in his room.
Kevin: That's not possible, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Oh, come on. They've got to let me in there after everything that's happened tonight.
Mariah: She has to know.
Chelsea: What, Christine tried to take him to prison again?
Kevin: He's not here. It has nothing to do with Christine. Adam broke out of the hospital.
Chelsea: What?! Where'd he go?
Kevin: He was headed to the tower. He was trying to save you.
Victor: Son, wake up. Can you hear me? Can you hear me?
Adam: The devil. The devil.
Billy: I think he just slapped you.
Victor: Do you know where we are?
Adam: Oh, yeah. I know where we are -- Newman tower, right? East stairwell, 22nd floor?
Billy: You climbed all these stairs?
Adam: Yeah. I got to find my wife.
Billy: Have you seen jack and Phyllis, actually?
Adam: Where's Chelsea? Where's Chelsea?
Victor: Chelsea was taken out of here by helicopter. She's at memorial hospital. I'm almost sure of that, okay?
Adam: Good. Okay, good. So's Connor. I saw him before I came in here. Now come on. We got to find jack. Let's get him out of here.
Billy: You can't even stand up.
Adam: I'm fine, Billy.
Victor: Adam, we need to get you out of here, up to the helicopter right now. Let's go.
Billy: Taking the place of somebody who actually needs it. I love this plan!
Victor: Billy, we will take him upstairs right now! We need to get him to the helicopter! Let's go!
Billy: "We"? No. I'm gonna go find my family.
Victor: Listen, you stupid son of a bitch! He saved your ass not even a year ago from a burning building!
Billy: Now the two of you get to save each other. How fitting.
Adam: Billy. Billy! Damn it.
Joe: Seriously, what am I supposed to do -- wait around while Dylan plays hero?! Well, hell, that's exactly what I'm gonna do!
Abby: Complaining about being rescued? That's very sexy. Keep it up. What are you still doing here?
Joe: Well, it seems so conveniently, every time I try to get on the helicopter, Dylan's got me at the end of the line. What? What, are you hiding over there?
Abby: I'm not hiding. I just -- I didn't want my family to see me, okay? Is that hiding? Yeah, maybe. But if they saw me, then they were gonna force me to get on a helicopter.
Joe: What, that's so bad we're gonna get out of this fire trap?
Abby: I'm not leaving here without Ben and my mom.
Joe: What, they didn't come back?
Abby: No, don't -- don't say it like that. Don't say it like I'm a fool for believing that there's hope. Believe me, they are coming back.
Stitch: You should have left when you had a chance.
Ashley: They're coming. I know they are. They're coming to get us.
Stitch: [Sighs] And if they don't?
Ashley: Would you please stop talking like that? Just stop it, okay? I can get us out of here. I know I can. I just have to -- I just want to think. Just let me -- let me -- let me figure it out.
Stitch: Before you go, let me just say this.
Ashley: No, stop. Please? I'm gonna go. I'm just not going anywhere without you.
Jack: Patty?
Patty: [Laughing] Oh.
Phyllis: What is going on? Does smoke inhalation cause hallucinations?
Jack: Maybe we passed out and we don't even know it.
Patty: This does feel like a dream, doesn't it? Oh, I honestly thought I'd never see you again, jack.
Jack: Patty, we thought you were in Fairview.
Patty: Well, I'm here now.
[Door slams]
Patty: Whoo! [Laughs] Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Phyllis: Are you the one who set this fire?
Patty: Okay, no. That -- that's just rude and unfair. [Sighs] I'm here for one reason only -- to help. you want to be the r
Paul: You guys have to get out of here now. You have family waiting for you at memorial.
Nick: My dad is still up there, Paul!
Paul: And you're wasting my time having me argue with you! You want to be the reason I don't have more men looking for your father?! Because I can and I will have you cuffed and hauled out of here!
Sage: Paul's right, nick. You're not just a son. You're a father. Faith is waiting for you. So is Christian. They both need to see their dad.
Paul: Please, listen to sage and get out of here.
Nick: All right. I'll leave. But you swear to me you'll get my family out of there.
Nikki: Oh, god. All these rings. This is the one that Victor gave me on our wedding day -- the last one. And when I say, "last," I mean... "the last." No more breaking up and getting back together. [Sighs] No more disappointments. No more betrayals. We said all those things to each other that day... but it didn't work out that way. Victor lied. I got angry, moved into the club. Somehow, we were able to get through that without getting a divorce. For us, that's progress. But, dear lord, now... I really need you now. I can't lose him. I won't. You got to get him out of there. You have to, please. I-I-I know that he's stubborn... but he loves that damn building and everybody in it. He thinks he's invincible. He -- he thinks that he can stave off a fire by sheer will. My husband is flawed... and wonderful... and human. He's mortal. But it's not his time. It can't be. He has so much to live for. He has his children. He has his grandchildren. In fact, his youngest grandchild is right here in this building, fighting for his life, fighting like a true Newman. I will not...give up on that grandbaby, and I will not give up on my husband... 'cause we need more time. We need time to get this thing right. I don't know. May-- maybe we have had it right... all these years and we just didn't know it. [Sighs] Just please, please, bring him home to me. I love him with all my heart. Please bring him back to me.
Victor: You and I get out of here, slowly.
Adam: [Groans]
Victor: Okay. Come on.
Adam: I tell you what -- if you regret not seeing my first steps, it probably looked a little bit something like this.
Victor: Son, you shouldn't have come here in the first place. Come on.
Adam: Had to find Chelsea. I saw Connor downstairs before they took him to the hospital.
Victor: But now he's there and you're here. What does that tell you?
Adam: I'm a fool, right?
Victor: No, son -- you're a Newman.
Adam: [Groans]
Victor: Okay? Did you ever notice we have stubborn streaks in us? You get it? Your brother saved all the children. He's probably out here with Paul Williams right now to get back into the building to save the rest of us. Now come on. Let's go. Stop talking.
Adam: Obstinate loyalty to the people we love is inherited is what you're saying, huh?
Victor: [Coughing]
Adam: Whoa, whoa. Hey. Come here. I got you. I got you. We're gonna get out of here, okay? Come here.
Victor: [Continues coughing]
Adam: Hey, hey.
Victor: Oh, man.
Adam: We're gonna get out of here.
Victor: Come on. Let's go.
Adam: I got you. Come on.
Billy: Ashley! Jack! Where are you?! [Coughs] Ashley! Ben! [Coughs] [Breathing heavily] Oh, my god. [Breathing heavily]
Stitch: Our best chance is if you go without me, get through this smoke and fire, find some help, and come back.
Ashley: Okay. I hear what you're saying. I do. I hear the logic of that.
Stitch: Good. You have to do that, okay? But before you go, I have to tell you this.
Ashley: Why are you doing this? Stop it! Stop acting like this is our last moment on earth, okay? Just stop it, because, I mean, you lived through a war. You can survive anything. You're a survivor, and, believe it or not, I'm a survivor, too.
Stitch: I believe it.
Ashley: You know what? We're gonna be back with the people we love. Oh, god. Abby. What about Abby? I hope she's okay.
Stitch: She is. I know it. Abby is a force of nature.
Ashley: She is, isn't she? She is. You know what? I want to -- I want to thank you because you made -- you made my little girl happy when you asked her to marry you. Thank you for that.
Stitch: I know you thought it was rushed.
Ashley: Oh, that was mean of me when I said that. [Crying] It was really thoughtful, and... there was a lot of love. You did that with a lot of love and a lot of consideration -- except for that part where you left the ring in the bottom of the champagne glass.
Stitch: [Laughing] I did, didn't I? [Coughs, grunts] [Exhales sharply] You were right in the hospital.
Ashley: What do you mean?
Stitch: I still have feelings for you.
Victoria: It's like a post-Halloween sleepover, with all the kids tucked in and asleep. All of your littlest grandchildren are safe and sound.
Nikki: Thank god. I don't even want to tell you the thoughts that were going through my mind. Victor and I are so blessed. You know, we've been grandparents longer than we even want to think about, but all of our grandchildren are so precious to us.
Lily: So, the kids have no idea what might have happened tonight, so that's one good thing. Did either of you see cane when you evacuated?
Nikki: Oh, no, we didn't. I'm so sorry. It was sheer chaos.
Victoria: I'm sure that they're gonna get everyone out. Cane will be safe.
Chelsea: That's impossible. There -- there was a guard outside his door. I mean, Adam's injured.
Kevin: I don't know how he did it, Chelsea, but I saw Adam at Newman tower. He gave Connor a kiss, and then he somehow got past Paul and went looking for you.
Chelsea: He couldn't walk across the room for a glass of water, so there's no way he can climb stairs and fight a fire.
Nikki: All right. Now stop. You two, listen to me very carefully. You both have very strong, resourceful husbands, and the emergency crews are doing everything they possibly can in that building. Paul is not going to let anything happen to a single person in there. Between Paul and Dylan, no one will be left behind.
Dylan: Okay, sir. Just go with the group. You're gonna be fine. They're gonna take you to the hospital and get you checked by doctors, okay? Be careful. [Coughing]
Dylan: Be careful. Be careful. Come on. [Coughing]
Dylan: Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. [Coughs]
Dylan: Sorry, Joe. No more room.
Joe: They're gonna be fast, right?
Dylan: Well, as fast as they can, yeah. Come on. Let's go. You go. Let's go.
Joe: God!
Abby: [Coughing]
Adam: [Groans]
Abby: [Continues coughing] Oh, my god. Dad, are you okay?
Victor: Yes.
Abby: Wait.
Victor: What are you still doing here? You should have been in the first helicopter out of here.
Abby: No. I-I'm not leaving here without Ben and mom. I thought they'd be with you.
Victor: Sweetheart, Ben is looking for your mother, and they'll be fine, okay? I want you to get on that chopper and get out of here.
Dylan: Abby, what are you doing? I thought you already left.
Abby: The flight's already full. I'm not gonna take some other guy's spot, okay?
Victor: Sweetheart, get on the chopper as soon as it gets back here -- now!
Dylan: You need to listen. This is serious.
Joe: Hey, hey. When's the next flight? Ugh!
Abby: You're an idiot. You know that, right?
Victor: You're bleeding right here. Come on.
Adam: Yeah, I know.
Victor: Give me your arm, please.
Adam: The only thing that matters is that Chelsea and Connor are safe. It's my fault that they're here, you know. I told them to come.
Abby: You need water.
Adam: Thank you.
Abby: I'm glad you're okay, but...you're still an idiot.
Victor: Hold it tight, okay?
Adam: Get out of here.
Victor: Listen to me.
Adam: I slowed you down enough. Get out of here.
Victor: This is your last chance to get out of here. You go, you flee to another town, you assume another name, you ask for Connor and your wife to follow you. Do you got that? This is your last chance at freedom, I'm telling you. Is that clear?
Billy: Yeah, go ahead, Adam. Prove everything that you said about justice for Delia is a lie. Run.
Ashley: Maybe you're right. Maybe I should go and try to get help.
Stitch: Okay. Before you go, I need to say this.
Ashley: Stop it, please? Stop. I don't want to hear what you have to say. You don't have feelings for me.
Stitch: How do you know how I feel?
Ashley: Because I know. We had a moment a long time ago. That's all it was.
Stitch: Oh, that's all it was, just a moment -- nothing after that? We have a connection. It was real, and you know it. [Coughing] [Groans]
Ashley: Just don't talk anymore, okay? Best to save your breath.
Stitch: [Sighs] All right. I need you to know... just in case. [Breathing heavily]
[Doorknob rattles]
Patty: Ow.
Phyllis: There's a fire out there and a wacko in here. This is a real toss-up.
Patty: Hey, you know what? I heard that. I have excellent hearing, and the words "wacko" are insulting and very hurtful.
Phyllis: Oh, and I'm such a horrible person because we have no negative history that would entitle me to insult you.
Patty: Where is summer?
Phyllis: Don't you ever go near my daughter.
Patty: You're living in the past, Phyllis! This is the present, and I am not going to hurt anyone. I came here to discuss something private with Dylan, who is my nephew and a very good man, and you know what? I'm gonna talk to jack, 'cause he can be rational. Did he get out before the fire?
Jack: We don't know, patty. We don't know anything. We can change that, though. You can help us get safely out of here, and you can lead us. We'll follow you.
Patty: Okay. Wait a minute. I know that trick. I'm gonna leave, and then you're not gonna follow. That's always been the problem, jack. You're all too happy to just let me walk away.
Jack: No, no, no, patty. I mean it. You're our leader. You know the safe way out of here. We will follow you. We're putting our lives in your hands.
Patty: [Sighs] You can be so kind. But she -- she [Chuckles] She can spit poison.
Phyllis: Patty? Patty, you owe us, considering the last time we spoke, you shot my husband.
Jack: Patty, patty, patty, we just want you to be a team player. That's all.
Phyllis: Yeah.
Patty: What, what, what? [Sighs] Jack, you're siding with her?
Phyllis: Yes. I am his wife. That's what husbands do. They side with their wives.
Patty: That's true. You're choosing her over me. It's happening all over again, jack.
Jack: No, no, no. It's not about choosing any-- patty!
Phyllis: Whoa!
Jack: Patty!
Phyllis: You get off of me, you bitch! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Jack: Patty, let her go! Leave her alone!
Phyllis: Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Patty: You don't deserve my jack! Aah! How could you go back to her?! How could you be so blind?!
Jack: Patty, patty, listen to me. Listen to me. Listen to me. I'm sorry. In so many ways and so many times, I let you down. I failed you, and I am sorry.
Patty: You don't mean it.
Jack: No, I do mean it. I do mean it. Listen to me. This is a bad situation, patty -- the fire, the smoke. This could be my last chance to tell you I was wrong and you were right all along. You were right -- no one has ever loved me the way you love me. Paul has told me you're doing very well. That gives me hope. That gives me hope because I need you to be strong and solid now and lead us out of here so that we can put this back together tomorrow.
Patty: I really want to believe you, jack. Let me see. Let me see if you just -- you really mean it.
Jack: I do. I do, patty.
Patty: You do?
Phyllis: Hey! Ugh!
Patty: Aah! Ugh!
Phyllis: You keep your hands off my husband, you sick bitch.
Paul: So, the chopper took off?
Dylan: Yeah. Just a few more trips, and everybody up here will be gone.
Paul: Okay, listen -- the fire is spreading very quickly, and we're not sure about the structural integrity.
Dylan: I hear you. The pilot's fighting these crazy winds.
Paul: Yeah, I can imagine. Listen, Dylan, uh... Chris checked with Fairview, and patty is AWOL. You haven't seen her up there, by any chance, have you?
Dylan: No, I haven't, but I'll ask around.
Paul: All right. Do that. And, son...stay safe.
Dylan: You, too.
All the fire-safety systems have been disabled.
Paul: What do you mean, "disabled"? Intentionally? What -- are you saying someone sabotaged the building? Someone wants to see Newman burn to the ground.
Chelsea: How could you let him go? What were you thinking?!
Lauren: Nobody let Adam go!
Michael: Have you met your husband? There's no reasoning with him, especially when the safety of his family's at stake.
Chelsea: He just got out of surgery! You didn't have to reason with him! You could have just pushed him over! You had one job, Michael, and that was to keep Adam in his bed -- keep him here, safe, where he wouldn't get hurt!
Lauren: You are yelling at the one person who tried to protect Adam when no one else cared. Michael does care. And if I don't fully understand, and you know that, this is a terrible night. I understand. But attacking each other isn't gonna help us or the ones that we love.
Chelsea: I'm sorry.
Michael: It's okay.
Chelsea: It's not okay. [Sniffles] It's not okay. [Crying] I keep thinking that Adam and I are gonna have our second chance... but I don't -- now he might die for real, and it's gonna be because he's trying to save me. [Crying]
Victor: I said this is none of your concern. Now you get to the helicopter, and you take Abby with you.
Billy: You know, I think I'm gonna stick around, 'cause I want to hear more about these plans to evade punishment. Now, it might set you back $10 million, but what's that -- a couple of Arabian stallions?
Victor: I said, "this is none of your concern"!
Billy: Delia was my daughter, so if it's not my concern, then whose is it?
Victor: Didn't I hear you say on the stand that you've forgiven him? Was that a lie given under oath?
Billy: No, I forgave him. That was the truth. But that's an entirely different animal, now, isn't it? We're talking about the legal ramifications of a crime that left a child dead -- my child!
Victor: Listen to me.
Billy: A little girl that I thought you cared about.
Victor: I loved your child. Get it into your head! Nothing to do with this! I am protecting my son, my family! I remember you on the stand, you actually crying because you realized that you'd not done enough to protect your daughter. Well, I'm protecting my son!
Billy: Are you really comparing Delia to him?
Victor: I don't want to hear from you anymore.
Adam: All right, enough! Please, enough! Dad, I'm not running. I'm never running again, okay?
Victor: What are you talking about?
Adam: As soon as I get out of here, I'm going back to the hospital, I'm gonna get better, and then, Billy, I'm gonna go to prison, all right? 'Cause that's what I deserve. That's what's gonna happen.
Ashley: The flames are getting closer.
Stitch: Ash...
Ashley: Please don't.
Stitch: ...When I look at you --
Ashley: Stop it. Just don't say anything.
Stitch: Let me say this. Okay? I love you.
Ashley: [Gasps]
Stitch: [Chuckles] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[Hissing]
Stitch: [Breathing heavily] That's the gas line.
Adam: Billy's right. If I run, that's not justice for Delia. She deserves better than that, right? So does Connor. I'm not gonna be the man that runs. I'm not doing that anymore.
Victor: What are you talking about? You're stubborn as always.
Abby: Here.
Adam: I'm not running.
Abby: [Coughs] Here. The chopper's here.
Adam: Thank you.
Abby: You need a water. You need to be ready.
Adam: Thank you.
Victor: There's no one coming down the stairs. I want you guys to get on those stairs. Go up yourselves -- okay? -- To the helipad. McAvoy will meet you up there, all right? Joe, make sure they don't panic.
Joe: Yeah.
Victor: Adam, I want you to be part of this.
Adam: What, take someone else's spot? No. I'm not gonna do it.
Victor: Son, are you out of your mind? The fire -- look at this! There may not be another helicopter coming!
Adam: Yeah, that's right, and what are you gonna do, huh?
Victor: Son...
Adam: You gonna go down with the building?!
Victor: ...Go!
Adam: No! I'm already responsible for one person's life! I'm not gonna be responsible for another one. I'm not going.
Victor: You get on that helicopter right now -- right now!
Abby: Okay! Okay! I'll go.
Billy: Get out of here.
Abby: Here. Go. Go! Go. Take my spot! I will be on the next one, okay? Go!
Joe: Yeah. If your dad finds out, he's gonna use my head as a speed bag.
Abby: Go. I will be on the next one with my mom and my fiancé, okay? [Coughs] Go!
Joe: [Coughs]
Abby: I just need to find them.
Nick: Hey! There's my girl!
Faith: Daddy!
Nick: Hi. Ohh.
Nikki: Oh, am I happy to see you two! Oh, my goodness! You're okay, right -- no injuries?
Sage: We're fine.
Nick: Yeah, we're good. How are my nephew and niece?
Victoria: Oh, they're great, thanks to you and sage.
Nikki: Well, I had a lot of help. Kevin and Mariah were great.
Faith: But, daddy, where's grandpa and aunt Abby and Noah?
Nick: Well, Noah is, uh -- he's at another hospital, and he's gonna be here just as soon as he can.
Sage: Faith, I'm kind of thirsty. You want to help me find a water fountain?
Faith: Okay. I'll take you.
Nick: Thanks.
Victoria: What didn't you want faith to hear?
Nikki: What's wrong?
Nick: The fire at the tower -- it's bad. If dad and Abby don't get out of there soon...
Nikki: [Gasps] Oh, my god!
Jack: Patty? Patty, can you hear me?
Patty: [Moans]
Jack: Patty?
Patty: [Coughs]
Phyllis: [Coughing] Damn it. We've got to get out of here now. We're better off taking the stairs down the hallway.
Jack: You're right. No one's gonna find us here. We got to make a run for it while we can. Okay. I'm gonna help you out of here. We're gonna get out of here now. You ready?
Patty: My hero. Oh, no. I need -- I need to, uh, talk to Dylan. I need to tell him that he can't trust her.
Jack: Trust who?
Patty: Ugh! [Breathing heavily]
Abby: Hello?! Mom! Ben! Can you hear me?!
Stitch: [Grunts] There has to be a shut-off valve. If I can find it --
Ashley: You got to find it, 'cause the fire's getting closer!
Abby: Ashley Abbott, Ben Rayburn, can you hear me?!
Stitch: I think I can reach it.
Ashley: Abby?! [Gasps]
Stitch: Ashley!
Ashley: Aaaaah!
Billy: Ahh.
Victor: Come here. Come here. Come here.
Adam: All right. All right. Yep. [Groans]
Sage: Faith is having a slumber party with a nurse chaperone. She's with her cousins, and she's all tucked in. I'd like to see her baby brother now. What do you say?
Nick: I'm definitely ready for some time with Christian.
Sage: Yeah.
Nick: Let's go see our boy.
Mariah: Unless you can stop the fire via remote, now is not the best time for playing on your computer.
Kevin: Cane was right. Something was going on with the elevators, controlled by the computer system. Then there was the dropped Wi-Fi, no cell service, and then the alarms and the sprinkler in the building just shut off. And then Satan shows up on my computer screen. What happens right after that? Sage comes running, saying she smells smoke. None of that is a coincidence. Somebody was in the Newman computer system.
Mariah: Someone? Who? Doing what?
Kevin: [Sighs]
Lauren: An orderly said a new group of guests just landed. They're on their way now.
Nikki: Oh, god. Please let it be Victor, please.
Michael: Oh, hey.
Lily: Oh, my god! You're fine! I was worried about you.
Joe: Yeah, yeah -- you and me both.
Lily: Where -- where -- where's cane? Is he with you?
Joe: No. I imagine he got out before all hell broke loose.
Lily: No. He would have come here, or he would have at least called me to make sure the kids are okay. So, why haven't I heard from him?
Chelsea: Joe? Is there any news? What did you see?
Nikki: Was there anybody else on the helicopter that didn't make it down here yet?
Joe: No, we were it. As the helicopter lifted off, there was a huge explosion at the building. I-I don't know if they can get to anyone now.
Fire's too far gone. I'm pulling my men.
Paul: I know. I know. Your -- your men have gone above and beyond. It's just that... my sister could still be up there.
Jack: Just an inch!
Phyllis: It's not gonna go an inch! We need a forklift! We need a way to get out of here! Okay. Here. Okay. [Coughs]
[Door closes]
Phyllis: Jack, the fire's getting closer. We have got to get out of here -- now!
Jack: We can't leave her here.
Phyllis: She is dead! We don't have a choice!
Jack: I can't find a pulse. Oh, god, patty. Life didn't give you any breaks, did it?
Phyllis: Come on.
Jack: [Groans, coughs]
Phyllis: Come on. Ready to do this?
Jack: [Breathing heavily] Let's find our way home.
Phyllis: Okay. It's hot! It's hot. It's hot.
Jack: God.
Phyllis: All right. All right. Go. Go.
Jack: [Groans]
Phyllis: Go. Go.
Billy: Guys, the helicopter's not back. It's so windy up there, I don't know if they're gonna be able to make another landing.
Adam: All right, listen -- I know I'll never be able to make amends to either one of you, but for what it's worth --
Billy: No, no. No. You save it. I'm not going out like this. I'm not dying in Newman tower with the two of you.
Victor: This is not how it's going to end, all right? And, by the way, you're wrong. I hear the helicopter.
[Helicopter blades whirring]
Victor: Let's go.
Billy: Aren't you glad you didn't open up -- make your dying-moment amends?
Victor: Adam? You okay?
Adam: Yeah, I got it. I got it. I got it.
Dylan: All right. Come on. Let's go.
Billy: What about jack and Phyllis? Have you seen them?
Dylan: I don't know. No, I haven't.
Victor: Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Dylan: It's getting too hard for the pilot to land. Let's go!
Victor: Adam?
Adam: Someone there?!
Sage: Okay. I swear I'm never leaving the NICU again. I'm gonna stare at Christian's face 24/7.
Nick: I hear you there.
Nurse Stephens: Mr. And Mrs. Newman. We tried to reach you.
Nick: Yeah. Uh, sorry. The -- the Newman fire had us tied up, but we're ready to see the little guy.
Nurse Stephens: There were c-complications.
Sage: What do you mean, complications? What do you mean? No. No. No.
Nick: Where is he? What did you do with him?
Nurse Stephens: I'm so sorry. Christian didn't make it.
Sage: No.
[Both coughing]
Paul: Phyllis!
Jack: [Coughing]
Paul: Jack, come on. We got to get you out of here.
Jack: Paul, Paul, patty was trapped upstairs.
Paul: Where? What floor? I'll -- I'll get her myself.
Jack: No, no, no. You can't.
Jack: She's gone, Paul. She's gone.
Abby: Mom! [Coughs] Mom! Ben! [Coughs] Mom, can you hear me?! Mom! Ben! [Breathing heavily] Can you hear me?! Oh, my god. Oh, my god. Okay. Ohh! Oh, my god. Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Oh, my god. Oh, my god! Oh! Oh! Okay. Oh, my god. Oh, my god. Please be okay. [Crying] Oh, my god. Ohh!
Victor: Son, do you want me to get you?
Adam: Uh... what? No. Go, dad. Go now.
Victor: Are you sure?
Adam: I'm good. Go.
Victor: Safe travels, my boy.
Adam: You. You left me here to die. Who the hell are you?
Ian: Please allow me to introduce myself. [Chuckles]
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Paul: One more trip, but when I tell you to get the hell off the roof, I mean it! You damn well better follow my orders!
Dylan: Okay.
Nikki: You be safe. Bring them home, all right?
Ian: Behold my creation in all its glory!
Adam: Ugh!
