Episode # 10721 ~ Cane catches Joe making a move on Lily; Harding questions Mariah & Kevin; Neil extends an olive branch to Hilary.
Provided By Suzanne
Cane: Scotch, neat.
Lily: Wow. For somebody who wants custody of our kids, you're not setting much of an example.
Cane: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You want me to be a role model for the kids? I don't know. Maybe Joe would be a better role model. Do you think?
Lily: What kind of a father are you being right now? If there was an emergency with the kids, you wouldn't be able to handle it.
Cane: Okay. The reason I can't handle it is because you broke our vows in your lack of judgment. That is why I'm drinking.
Lily: What about all the times that your lack of judgment have put our family at risk?
Joe: You know, why don't you tone it down a little bit, Cane? Better yet, go sleep it off.
Cane: Oh, look who it is. It's my good buddy Joe.
Joe: Now you're embarrassing yourself and your wife.
Cane: Excuse me?
Lily: Cane, stop it.
Cane: You want me to stop it? Is that what you're saying to me? You're gonna sit here and defend a guy that you say means nothing to you?
Hilary: Yes, and I appreciate lily helping us with all of the wedding planning, but with less than a week to just -- there's just -- there's a million things to do, and I --
Devon: What million things? I thought we just have to show up and say, "I do."
Hilary: Did you just blank out when your sister and I were talking about the music, the flowers, the guests, and my dress?
Devon: You guys talked about all that stuff? Maybe I did blank out a little bit.
Hilary: I know you were listening, though, right, when we were talking about the rings?
Devon: We have to get rings? [Laughing] I'm just joking. I'm joking. Take it easy with me, please. I have never been married before.
Hilary: [Chuckles softly]
Devon: I'm sorry. I didn't mean it --
Hilary: No, no. That's -- it's fine. You're just stating the obvious. We can't pretend like I wasn't your father's wife... or that my wedding to Neil never happened.
Devon: Sweetheart... we're gonna be different, okay? We're going to last. I promise you that.
Hilary: Well... that's a promise that we can keep, and that would be a first. [Chuckles softly] And for the first time, I am 100% sure that I am marrying the man that I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with.
Devon: You bet.
Nikki: I am really glad that you told me how you feel about Hilary and Devon's relationship. And...because of that, I feel I can say I'm just really... concerned about these... fantasies that you have about wanting to punish them. I mean, I thought you were over all of that.
Neil: Yeah.
Nikki: I heard that you were gonna just rebuild your life.
Neil: And I-I overheard them. They were discussing places to get married. Get this. You know one of the possibilities? The park where Hilary and I got married, where she professed her undying love to me. That's right.
Nikki: You are kidding.
Neil: No.
Nikki: That just churned everything up.
Neil: The thought of them riding off into the sunset together -- it gets to me. It makes me want to take away any happiness that they're ever gonna have in their lives.
Nikki: I understand that. I just want to make sure that they are fantasies. I mean, please tell me that you're not gonna act on this.
Michael: Oh. Hello.
Lauren: Are you here seeing a client?
Michael: And other lawyerly stuff. You?
Lauren: Oh, I just came back from the hospital.
Michael: Oh. You saw Paul?
Lauren: Yeah. He's actually doing pretty well. He's ordering around everybody and insisting on getting released.
Michael: That sounds about right.
Lauren: [Chuckles]
Michael: What are you doing here?
Lauren: Here? I just dropped off something for Chris.
Michael: She's still refusing to leave Paul's side?
Lauren: And he's still insisting that she go home to rest.
Michael: But she won't.
Lauren: No. That's what a good wife does. She sticks by her husband, no matter how hard he tries to push her away.
Michael: And a good husband... should appreciate his wife's support and not try to push her away. Lauren...
Lauren: I have an appointment.
Harding: You should look happier.
Michael: Why is that, detective?
Harding: Because the charges against your client Victor Newman are being dropped now that Jack Abbott has supported his claim of self-defense.
Michael: As they should be.
Harding: Maybe you're just upset you're not getting that hefty fee now that things are getting settled without a trial.
Michael: The case may be closed, detective, but nothing's settled.
Harding: What does that mean?
Michael: Whatever caused Jack and Victor's showdown in the park didn't just go away.
Mariah: Anything?
Noah: [Sighs] Not yet.
Kevin: Give it up, Noah. Mariah and I found the crashed car exactly where Marisa said it would be, and there was no sign of Marco.
Noah: There are no reports of a body being discovered anywhere near lake Delaney.
Marisa: That's impossible. Surely his body has to turn up.
Kevin: Hopefully before one of us turns up as a corpse.
Noah: Kevin...
Mariah: So far, no body. Your ex-boyfriend, the dangerous drug lord, who you insisted was dead, the man who very possibly killed Austin and Courtney, may still be alive.
Noah: Mariah, come on. Don't.
Mariah: What? Don't -- don't what, Noah? Don't be terrified? Because I am. For all we know, she could have led this killer straight to our doorstep.
Kevin: Did you actually see Marco's body in the car in the water?
Marisa: I was too busy trying to save my own life.
Mariah: Then how exactly can you be sure he's dead?
Marisa: After I made it to the shore, I stayed by the lake long enough to catch my breath. If Marco got out of the water, I would have seen him.
Mariah: And if his body was still in the lake, we would have seen him.
Kevin: He could have gotten to the shore before you did. We've got to go to the cops with this.
Marisa: No.
Mariah: Yes. It was bad enough that you wanted us to keep our mouths shut about Marco being your ex when you thought he was dead.
Marisa: But his associates --
Mariah: Yes, yes, we know. His associates -- they're gonna find you. They're gonna track you down and get revenge. Blah, blah, blah.
Noah: This isn't a joke, Mariah.
Mariah: You're damn right it's not a joke. Marco himself could track her down, and us along with her.
Noah: Not if Marco doesn't know Marisa is here.
Kevin: This is the last place he saw her. It's gonna be the first logical place he comes back to.
Noah: So, why hasn't he shown up yet, then, huh?
Mariah: Maybe he's injured.
Noah: Or running. If Marco survived the crash, he probably just took off. Wouldn't you?
Mariah: Or maybe he's waiting for a chance to kill us, like he did with our friends.
Noah: I'm not gonna let you sell her out, okay? Not gonna happen.
Marisa: Noah, your sister is just concerned.
Noah: Yeah, and so am I -- about you.
Kevin: All right. Everybody, just let's cool it, all right? Everybody take a minute. We need to think about this.
Noah: Yeah. Yeah. I'm all for that.
Kevin: We're gonna go for a walk.
Noah: Yeah, you guys do that. Make it a long, thoughtful walk.
Mariah: [Scoffs] I'm sorry. Wh-where do you get off telling me to take a walk? I don't need to take a walk. That's the last thing that I need to do right now.
Kevin: We're taking a walk... right to the police station. Let's go.
Neil: These fantasies that I've been having about exacting payback, right -- it's just my way of -- of processing.
Nikki: It's not healthy for you, Neil. You've got to figure out another way to deal with this. You have to think more positive. I don't know. Maybe you could get involved with a charity or...
Neil: Or -- or -- or maybe I could get involved with some more exercise or maybe some meditation or how 'bout some yoga?
Nikki: Any of the above would be better than you dwelling on revenge.
Neil: Okay. I'll work on it.
Nikki: Okay. You're gonna have to, because, like it or not, they are going to be husband and wife very soon, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Devon: Now, I promise that I'm going to throw myself 100% into this wedding.
Hilary: Yeah?
Devon: Mm-hmm.
Hilary: And what do you think you're gonna get by that?
Devon: Well, I'm hoping for a celebration...
Hilary: Ohh.
Devon: ...'Cause, really, I mean, we should be celebrating the fact that we're finally making wedding plans, don't you think?
Hilary: And by "celebrating," you mean...
Devon: Oh, yeah. I do mean that. Absolutely.
Hilary: Okay. Well, I'm sorry, but celebrating -- it's gonna have to wait.
Devon: Why does it have to wait? We can book bands after we celebrate, right?
[Knock on door]
Hilary: That's why.
Lauren: Hi!
Hilary: Hi!
Lauren: I've got some winners here.
Devon: Mm. Hello, Lauren.
Lauren: Hi!
Devon: What is this?
Lauren: Wedding-dress selections.
Devon: Whoa.
Hilary: The second that we chose a date, I called Lauren to see if she could help me find a dress from Fenmore's.
Lauren: That's right, and we need to really make a selection fast, 'cause you have not given me a lot of time for alterations and fittings.
Devon: Hilary will look beautiful no matter what.
Hilary: See? And that is why I am marrying him.
Lauren: Mm-hmm. Looks like you're a keeper.
Devon: Looks like I'm a keeper, yeah.
Lauren: [Laughs]
Devon: So, what do you have to show us?
Hilary: Well, Lauren isn't showing us anything -- just me.
Devon: So, I don't get a vote?
Lauren: No. Come on. You know it's bad luck to see your bride in her dress before the wedding day.
Devon: But, I mean --
Hilary: Oh, you know, I love that you're pretending to be disappointed to not have to watch me try on dresses...
Lauren: [Chuckles]
Hilary: ...But I'll see you later, okay?
Devon: Okay. Fine! That's fine. How long is this all gonna take? 'Cause we have some celebrating to do.
Hilary: Hours. Just go. I will text you when we're done.
Devon: The second you're done. [Smooches] Okay?
Lauren: I'm very happy for you.
Hilary: You know, I am happy for me, too.
Lauren: [Laughing] Okay. Let's get to work, all right?
Lily: You're being ridiculous.
Joe: You're out of line, Cane.
Cane: You have a hell of a nerve telling me I'm out of line, Joe.
Colin: Let's grab a drink somewhere else. Come on.
Lily: Oh, great. Get him drunk while he's still hung over from last night.
[Door opens]
Colin: Well, Devon.
Cane: Unbelievable.
Colin: Clinging to the last vestiges of bachelorhood before you stick your head in the noose, hey? [Laughs]
Devon: You make marriage sound like a bad thing, Colin.
Cane: Please don't mislead him.
Colin: I don't want to rain on his parade. In fact, you know what I think? I think you need a bachelor party.
Devon: No. That's not necessary.
Colin: Oh, I think it's very necessary, and with this wedding approaching, probably it should be tonight.
Devon: Are you sure that you want to?
Cane: I am sorry I went off on you before. I shouldn't have blamed you for your sister's behavior. Let's -- let's go and do this and I'll make it up to you.
Devon: Well, since I've been banished by Hilary anyway, I guess --
Colin: That's the spirit. Come on. Let's party hearty.
Joe: You all right?
Lily: Yeah. I'm fine. [Sighs] Cane is just an idiot. He's being stupid and jealous.
Joe: Yeah. He's way off base.
Lily: I'm just tired of telling him that what happened with us was a one-time mistake, that there's nothing between us.
Joe: Absolutely nothing. And there will still be absolutely nothing, even if you agree to have dinner with me.
Lily: [Sighs] Why not?
Michael: Hey. I didn't expect to see you here tonight.
Kevin: Uh, I just thought I would finish up some work before tomorrow.
Michael: Oh. How uncharacteristically industrious of you.
Mariah: And I am keeping him company.
Michael: Great. All right. Don't work too hard.
Harding: Your brother might actually buy that line, but I don't. You're not here to work.
Kevin: You're right! I'm not.
Harding: So, what kind of scam you getting into tonight, fish?
Mariah: We need to speak to Paul.
Harding: You haven't heard. He's in the hospital.
Kevin: What?
Harding: Heart attack.
Mariah: Is he okay?
Harding: Fortunately, it was minor. He's bouncing back. But, in the meantime, while he's recovering, I'm in charge, so whatever you were gonna say to Paul, you can say to me.
Kevin: Well...
Mariah: We know who killed Austin and Courtney.
Harding: Oh, g-God. Again with this? The -- it's over, guys. The case is closed.
Kevin: Look, we know the identity of the killer. You have to look in to this.
Harding: You and the Scooby gang have sent us on the trail of the wrong person more than once already.
Mariah: Yeah, but this time it's different. Everything fits.
Kevin: Yeah, you know, and you're always saying, "you're not a cop. Leave the police business to the police." Well, now I'm forced to agree.
Harding: Why forced to?
Kevin: Because the killer may be ready to take another victim.
Noah: I know you're concerned about Marco still being alive.
Marisa: Aren't you? What if Mariah's right? I could be bringing him right to your door.
Noah: Why would he risk coming back here? Hmm? I mean, if I were a wanted man, I would use this opportunity to make everybody think that I'm dead.
Marisa: A wanted man? You're not a criminal. You're far too good and kind to be able to think like Marco.
Noah: You're good... and kind.
Marisa: And stupid.
Noah: Marisa...
Marisa: No. I...
Noah: ...Look, um...
Marisa: I should have left town.
Noah: ...You said that things were over between you and Marco.
Marisa: Noah...
Noah: Were you lying about that?
Marisa: There's more to the story than what I've told you.
Nikki: Neil, I know far too well what can happen when you look in the wrong places for the answers to your questions.
Neil: That's not what I'm doing.
Nikki: Or thinking that you can handle something all on your own or with the help of a bottle.
Neil: I'm not drinking. You know that.
Nikki: No, I know that. I'm just saying maybe you should talk to your sponsor anyway or a therapist.
Neil: Come on. No. I'm just having a bad night. You know, hearing Devon and Hilary -- that they're gonna join hands in holy matrimony -- it set me back a bit. That's all.
Nikki: Well, I would say more than a little bit.
Neil: I am not gonna let it get to me anymore.
Nikki: Neil, you can't just decide that and it happens magically. You need help with it.
Neil: Please, please, please. I'm gonna be all right.
Nikki: I still think it wouldn't hurt for you to talk to somebody.
Neil: I am talking to somebody.
Hilary: I'm so sorry to put you through all this trouble, Lauren.
Lauren: Oh, are you kidding? I love making women look their very best. It is no trouble at all.
Hilary: It's just none of the dresses that I've seen are... just right.
Lauren: Oh. Okay. What's missing?
Hilary: I wish I could be more clear about what I was looking for. I just --
Lauren: All right. Just stop worrying. You'll know it when you see it. And there is nothing wrong with wanting everything to be perfect. The moment you marry the love of your life should be magical.
Lauren: "My darling Lauren, right now you're in the midst of some secret female ritual, preparing to become my bride. Just remember that that's totally unnecessary. I'm not marrying your hair or your makeup or your dress. I'm marrying you. What we have will only grow stronger with time."
Lauren: Oh, you know, I, uh... I think this is the dress. What do you think?
Hilary: I can't do this.
Harding: So, the ex-girlfriend has reason to believe that Marco Annicelli was in Genoa city when the cabin murders occurred?
Kevin: That's right. And I don't think it was a mistake that the DNA on the envelope that the killer sent turned out to be Marco's.
Harding: Well, at the time, it seemed a little unlikely that a south American crime lord would take out two Midwestern kids.
Mariah: All we know is that they showed up here right after the cabin murders, and that cannot be a coincidence!
Harding: Well, it's still a little out there. I mean, what's -- what's the motive?
Kevin: Well, this Marco guy apparently traveled under the radar for years, keeping his identity a secret.
Harding: Yeah? And?
Kevin: Maybe Austin caught something on video.
Mariah: And then Courtney figured it out.
Harding: And maybe I should have a talk with this Marisa.
Marisa: I told you Marco and I argued before the car went into the lake. It wasn't an accident.
Noah: What are you saying -- Marco intentionally drove the car into the lake?
Marisa: I'm the one who made it happen, Noah. I grabbed the wheel. We struggled for control. That's what forced us off the road.
Noah: What did he do to you? Why -- why would you grab the wheel?
Marisa: The things he said... to kill me.
Noah: What did he say?
Marisa: Marco had made a new life that didn't include me. He was concerned that I knew too many of his secrets.
Noah: [Sighs] Right. So, if Marco did survive the crash...
Marisa: Noah, if he wanted me dead before --
Noah: No, I hear what you're saying. Doesn't strike me as the most forgiving type.
Marisa: So, you understand that I have to --
Noah: No. No. Running is not the answer, okay? Look, the guy could track you down anywhere you're gonna go.
Marisa: What else can I do?
Noah: [Sighs] Let me help you.
Marisa: How?
Noah: [Sighs] I-I will find a way to protect you until we find out if Marco is either dead or in jail, okay? My family has resources.
Marisa: I can't ask you. You've done too much.
Noah: I'm offering. I'm offering. After the life that you've had to lead, you deserve to stay put, to set some roots, have some friends, to have a home, where you don't have to keep on running from one place to the next... if that's what you want.
Hilary: That dress -- it looks identical to the one that I wore when I married Neil.
Lauren: Oh. I'm so sorry.
Hilary: You know, I keep telling Devon that it feels like the first time that I'm getting married, but --
Lauren: But you keep getting reminded about your marriage to Neil.
Hilary: It feels like a curse. And I hurt him so badly, Lauren.
Lauren: I believe that everybody deserves to be happy. And while we're pursuing that, sometimes we hurt other people along the way.
Hilary: Like you and Michael?
Lauren: I had an affair, and it devastated Michael. And I didn't think that I deserved to be happy, either.
Hilary: What changed?
Lauren: I think maybe I have...you know? I don't believe in curses, and I know that marriages fall apart for all kinds of different reasons. I mean, mine survived infidelity, and then...
Hilary: You and Michael fell out of love anyway.
Lauren: No. He loved me too much. He tried to protect me from him, and... all I wanted was him. You know, it's taken me a long time to accept that and understand that.
Hilary: Do you think that you and Michael will reconcile?
Lauren: You know, we're not talking about me here. [Chuckles]
Hilary: Can we talk about Cane and lily? What is happening with all of these great marriages? Because they -- they seemed like the perfect couple.
Lauren: Yeah. They're really having a rough time right now.
Hilary: Do you think they're gonna get back together?
Lauren: That remains to be seen, you know? It's not really what happened in the past. It's now that counts and whether they want to be together and how much work they're willing to do. But, you know, instead of worrying about your past haunting you, concentrate on now. Concentrate on marrying your love and -- and the dress. Can we concentrate on the dress? [Chuckles]
Hilary: Yes. I needed this pep talk. Thank you.
Lauren: Of course.
Hilary: Just I want this wedding to just have no worries and no problems, and... I just want a strong, long marriage.
Michael: I got here as fast as I could. Colin, you said you needed a lawyer.
Colin: Yeah. Well, if I said I was running a bachelor party, would you have come?
Michael: Probably not. The last one I attended didn't end so well.
Colin: No, nothing like that's gonna happen here.
Michael: [Groans] Seems pretty tame. Devon, Cane.
Cane: Well, we're just getting started, aren't we?
Devon: I'm done playing poker. I just lost a bunch of money to Colin.
Colin: Wait! Come on! I won that fair and square.
Cane: That's the first honest money you've ever made, then, isn't it, dad?
Colin: Uh, look, I -- grab a drink, mike. I've got to go downstairs and arrange a few things. Uh, um...
[Cell phone rings]
Devon: Excuse me.
Colin: ...Be right back.
Devon: It's business I've got. Excuse me.
Michael: All right.
[Door closes]
Michael: So, how's it going?
Cane: Um... I suppose as good as it can be going.
Michael: You're still thinking about a divorce?
Cane: Well, is there any other option?
Michael: That's unfortunate. I feel bad about my part in it. I was a fool.
Cane: Yes, you were a fool. So, how's things with Lauren?
Michael: I'm still holding out hope that she'll forgive me, but I know how hard that can be.
Cane: Why, because she, um...
Michael: Yes. She had an affair.
Cane: Right. And were you really able to forgive her for that?
Michael: Marriage is an ongoing process.
Cane: But she cheated on you.
Michael: We lost our way. We both did. It wasn't easy finding our way back to each other. But... we cared enough about each other and our marriage and our child to try. So, maybe you could forgive lily this one-time indiscretion -- one-time.
Joe: You know, I'm willing to bet that you were little miss goody two shoes growing up.
Lily: [Chuckles] Well, you would lose that bet.
Joe: Oh, really?
Lily: Mm-hmm. One time I got in trouble for painting graffiti.
Joe: Oh, wow. Living on the edge.
Lily: Yeah. It was in Italy.
Joe: Ooh. An international wild child. Impressive. I've got a lot to learn about you.
Lily: [Chuckling] Yeah. Maybe this was...a mistake.
Joe: Well, maybe it's just what you needed.
Lily: Just what I needed? What do you mean by that?
Joe: You know, nice dinner, some laughs. What's wrong with that?
Lily: Sorry. I'm [Sighs] I'm overreacting. I could use a friend right now.
Joe: Yeah, a friend who understood what that night was and what it wasn't.
Lily: I just wish Cane could understand.
Joe: Yeah. I don't like the way he's treating you right now.
Lily: Well, I mean, what Avery did to you is a lot worse, and you somehow managed to get past that.
Joe: Yeah. Well, that's because I knew that there wasn't much of a future with Avery.
Lily: Yeah. Cane keeps saying that there's no future for us, and, obviously, his behavior backs that up. He wants custody of the kids.
Joe: And despite all that, you're...holding out that there's still a future with him.
Cane: But the problem for me is my wife being with another man one time is one time too many, and I don't think, considering the state of your marriage, that you can really give me any advice.
Michael: No. No. I have no right, but you did ask.
Devon: Colin's not back yet, guys?
Colin: Okay, gentlemen. There's a fourth on the way. Now I think the party can begin. [Chuckles]
Devon: Hi. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm engaged.
Michael: I am similarly disinclined, Colin.
Colin: C-come on. I mean, what is, after all, good for the goose is good for the gander, hmm? Whoo-hoo! [Chuckles]
Cane: [Sighs] This isn't what I want, okay?
Colin: Yeah, but it's what you need, boy.
Cane: What I need -- I need to leave. That's what I need to do.
Michael: Well, he didn't seem too steady. I'm gonna make sure he gets home okay. Colin, thanks for the invitation. Great party. Ladies.
Colin: Okay. And then there were two. You'd better tell your friend she's not required.
Devon: Uh, well, I guess the party's over.
And let all of this delicious champagne go to waste?
Colin: I like her. The lady's absolutely correct. How about we, uh -- we raise a toast to...Devon?
India: Devon's a nice name.
Devon: Thank you.
India: Mine's India, like the country.
Devon: Oh, yeah?
India: Are you interested in exploring India?
Devon: [Chuckles nervously]
India: Oh.
Devon: Thanks.
[Knock on door]
Hilary: It's open, Lauren! I hope that you found the perfect dress for the perfect day, because -- [Sighs] I am so sorry for panicking earlier. I just think --
Devon: Hey. I, uh, am feeling a little bit light-headed. I need to sit down for a second.
India: Oh. [Chuckles]
Devon: Is anybody else hot? It's burning up in here.
Well, you might feel cooler if you take off your shirt.
India: I'll help you.
Devon: [Groans softly] [Sighs]
And what can I do for you?
Colin: You can join me in a drink. Let's, uh -- let's drink to living well... the best revenge.
Devon: [Sighs]
Hilary: What are you doing here?
Neil: I came to see you.
Hilary: Devon was planning to talk to you so you wouldn't get caught off-guard, but... our wedding is next week.
Neil: I've heard. That's why I wanted us to have this little talk.
Hilary: About what?
Neil: I want to put your mind at ease. I'm not gonna do anything to ruin your wedding. I'm letting go. Or, rather, I'm letting you go, freeing you from any emotional ties to me.
Hilary: I appreciate that more...than I can say. You know, I know that it would mean a lot to Devon if his father were there.
Neil: I won't be there. Now, that would be awkward for all of us, don't you think? And that's the last thing that I want.
Michael: Look, what happened at the casino should tell you something. You still love lily.
Cane: Doesn't change anything.
Michael: But -- but you can. Don't do this. Don't throw away the most important relationship in your life. A love like that -- that's worth moving heaven and hell to keep. You know that.
Cane: Yeah.
Lauren: Hey.
Michael: Ooh. Wh-where's the groom?
Lauren: What? Oh. [Laughs] Well, I'm helping Hilary with wedding dresses, and it was either put it on my head or carry it in my teeth.
Michael: Seeing you like that... it reminds me of one of the best days of my life.
Lauren: Yeah. [Chuckles softly] Me, too. Okay. I'm gonna get this to, uh... do you remember the other day, when you said you didn't think I could ever forgive you?
Michael: Oh, I remember.
Lauren: Well, I just want you to know... I'm ready to try.
Marisa: I don't know if it's a good idea to go or stay, but you've made me feel so welcome. And I've never felt that.
Noah: Come here.
Harding: This must be Marisa.
Marisa: I-I am. Who are you?
Noah: That's, uh, detective Harding.
Marisa: Detective?
Noah: Yeah. What do you want?
Harding: I just heard about Marisa's connection to Marco Annicelli. Now, Annicelli may have been in Genoa city when Austin and Courtney were murdered.
Noah: So, then, you have the whole story. Marco and Marisa were in a car crash. Marisa believes that he died in the water. That's it -- all there is to it.
Marisa: It's okay, Noah. I can speak for myself.
Harding: I'm glad to hear it, 'cause I've got a lot of questions for you.
Noah: You guys didn't mention anything about the cops.
Kevin: Well, for once, I decided to make a smart decision and bring the cops in on something that we can't handle by ourselves.
Harding: Marisa is very cooperative. She told me everything she knows about Annicelli and how she's afraid he might be alive and making his way back here.
Mariah: She's not the only one who's afraid.
Harding: Okay. I'm gonna start the search for Marco. In the meantime, please, please, don't do anything stupid.
Marisa: Don't be mad at your sister or your friend.
Noah: You okay?
Marisa: Yeah. I didn't want to involve the police, but maybe it was time.
Noah: I hate to admit it, but I do feel a little relieved that the police are gonna be working to find Marco... before he finds us.
Kevin: Well, I guess I should say thank you, Harding, and for Noah's sake, I'm glad you believe Marisa.
Harding: Are you kidding me? I don't trust that woman for a second, but I don't want her to know that, now, do I? Or she'll be on her guard. You -- keep an eye on her. Let me know if anything's off.
Kevin: Got it.
Mariah: What were you and Harding talking about?
Kevin: Oh, I was just, uh, saying thank you -- grateful that we're on the same page.
Lily: There are just moments where I think that Cane and I can work things out, that he'll find a way to forgive me. Then I'll just do or say something, and it just seems so... impossible.
Joe: Yeah. I don't think you should hold out for his forgiveness. Look, you should move on, lily. You're a strong, smart, beautiful woman.
Very beautiful woman.
Lily: You shouldn't have done that, Joe.
Devon: I really think that I should go to bed.
India: Let me help you. [Chuckles] Come here. Oh.
Colin: [Chuckles]
Lauren: Okay. I think you're gonna love this one. Is something wrong?
Hilary: Neil was here.
Lauren: Oh. Did you argue?
Hilary: I expected that, but... actually, it was okay. He didn't give me his blessing or anything, but he said that he was ready to let me go and that he would steer clear of the wedding.
Lauren: Oh. Well, you should feel very reassured by that.
Hilary: I am. [Chuckles] I think that you are right, Lauren -- there is no such thing as curses. I can finally breathe easier and believe that I am gonna have the wedding of my dreams.
Nikki: Hey! Hey!
Neil: Hey.
Nikki: I thought you had gone.
Neil: Actually, I went to see Hilary. Don't worry. I only wanted to tell her that I'm ready for closure. You're right, Nikki. I got to take care of myself so I can move on.
Nikki: I am very glad to hear that.
Neil: Thanks.
[Cell phone chimes]
India: Come with me.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Jack: Could we just not talk about St. Barts? I'd rather talk about just about anything else.
Neil: You -- don't you dare talk to my daughter this way.
Devon: Are you telling me that I cheated on Hilary?
