Episode # 10719 ~ Victoria urges Victor to come clean, while Adam makes a run for it.
Provided By Suzanne
Victoria: Are you sure that Abby knows you wanted to meet with us tonight?
Victor: Yeah. Her text said that she would be here momentarily.
Victoria: [Sighs]
Abby: Sorry, sorry. I am here.
Victor: There you are.
Victoria: Hope we didn't pull you away from anything too important.
Abby: As a matter of fact -- you know what? Obviously what's going on here takes priority, so, um, what's up?
Victor: I asked you both to come here to discuss the future of our company, okay? Now that that parasite Gabriel Bingham is no longer CEO of the company and Jack is out of the hospital, Jack and I will be running the company together.
Billy: Just take it easy, you know?
Jack: [Breathing shakily]
Phyllis: You okay?
Jack: Good to be home.
Phyllis: It is so good to have you here.
Jack: I wasn't sure I was gonna make it back home.
Billy: You keep tempting fate the way that you have been this year, and next time, you might not.
Jack: You know, having a building falling on me or mustache putting a bullet in me wasn't exactly my idea.
Billy: [Chuckles] No, I guess not. But the totaled Ferrari's on you.
Jack: Totaled Ferrari?
Billy: Okay. Fine. Kyle was driving. But you did give him the keys.
Jack: Right. Yeah. Right. Yeah, totaled. Yeah, I have to take the blame for that one.
Phyllis: Let's sit down. Something wrong?
Jack: You look beautiful. Look what I'm wearing.
Billy: Look, before we take a little trip down honeymoon lane, I think it's time you told us what's going on with you, Jack. And I don't just mean what happened in the park. I mean all of it.
Paul: I was up all last night going over all this evidence, and...something is not right here.
Christine: Well, you keep saying that, but jack's statement corroborates Victor's story that he shot in self-defense.
Paul: Right. So, we have to drop the charges against Victor?
Christine: I have no choice.
Paul: [Scoffs] You know, this is all too convenient, this whole thing. I mean, something in my gut is telling me that whatever's going on between Victor and Jack, they're just not telling us the whole story.
Christine: Okay, and unless you can prove that, my hands are tied.
Paul: So, everybody goes free?
Christine: I think there's one person I can make a case against.
Adam: Chelsea, listen to me. You don't want to do this, okay? Do not shut me out. [Sighs] Baby, what are you doing? I need you. I need you and Connor. Connor needs his dad. Look, everything that I've done, all of it, it was for you and Connor so that we could be a family again. I-I fought my way back to you. My life is not worth living without you.
Chelsea: Stop, Adam! Stop!
Adam: Open the door!
Chelsea: Stop! I'm being serious. Leave. Or I swear I will call the police and I will tell them everything.
Adam: Chelsea... don't do this.
Chelsea: I really thought your daddy could change. It's sad. I really thought that things could be different, that he could be different. Yeah? What's that?
[Knock on door]
Anita: Chelsea, are you there?
Chelsea: [Sighs] Be right back.
Anita: Have you seen it? Of course you have. It's everywhere! I read it on GC buzz. About Victor and Jack and -- what's wrong? Is Connor -- is he okay?
Chelsea: Yeah, Connor's fine. Well, physically, he's fine.
Anita: Well, what other way isn't there for a toddler to be fine? I mean, especially one that lives in a fancy penthouse with two people that love him.
Chelsea: Connor knows he's loved.
Anita: Of course he does. Especially by his mama and his grand-- well, me. And Gabe, that hunk of gorgeous that couldn't love him any more, even if he was his own son. I mean, he is super-hot and such a super dad. [Sighs] What more could you ask for, Chelsea?
Chelsea: You've really always been Gabe's cheerleader. And you've also been Billy's cheerleader. Dylan's cheerleader. Even Adam's cheerleader. I really don't know why I listen to you, mom.
Anita: Because I want you to be happy.
Chelsea: Happy? Is that a joke? I am never going to be happy.
Jack: Billy, I know I haven't been myself for a while now.
Billy: [Chuckles] Well, that's an understatement. Look, I could deal with the lime-green sweater vest and the hanging out at the golf course, the Ferrari. Hell, I could even deal with you calling me Billy boy.
Jack: I never -- did I call you that?
Billy: Are you kidding me? It's been going on for months. You sound exactly like Victor. [Deep voice] "Ah, Billy boy."
Jack: I didn't realize I was doing that. I'm -- my apologies.
Billy: [Normal voice] Look, Jack, it's fine. I can handle it. What I can't handle is you lying to the family about Gabe being your son. I mean, what the hell, Jack?
Jack: After the merger, things got out of control. I needed a strong ally to fight Victor.
Billy: A stro-- so, you didn't turn to your real son or to me. You turned to the guy that everybody hates?
Jack: I don't hate Gabe.
Billy: Well, we do.
Phyllis: Billy, Jack doesn't owe you any more of an explanation than he's already given you.
Billy: [Sighs] Okay. All right. Well, riddle me this -- you team up with Gabe so that you can bring down Victor, and now you're letting snidely off for shooting you?
Jack: He shot me in self-defense. I had to tell the truth.
Billy: Since when? The Jack Abbott that I know would have nailed Victor's ass to the wall for that.
Jack: Okay. I realize I've been making some decisions that, right now, seem --
Billy: Inexplicable? Insane? Completely out of character?
Jack: To not make much sense, but...
Billy: Geez...
Jack: ...I am doing what I am doing for the good of this family and, yes, for the company. And we need to put our bad blood with Victor behind us.
Billy: He shot you.
Jack: I'm as much to blame for that as he is.
Billy: Who are you? 'Cause you're not acting like my brother.
Jack: I am me! I am -- I am Jack. I am back. It's me.
Phyllis: It's okay. Calm down.
Jack: No, I need you to understand this. After I got back from the honeymoon, things got complicated.
Billy: Got complicated?
Jack: Okay, more than complicated. Things spun out of control. I know you felt it.
Billy: We're all still feeling it. And we felt like we lost you.
Jack: That's in the past. I'm here now. And I'm calling the shots. [Sighs]
Billy: Fine. Just tell me -- how does Gabe fit in to all this?
Jack: Okay, I realize you have some issue with Gabe Bingham.
Billy: Issues. Yeah. The guy slept with Chelsea while I was engaged to her, so I pretty much want to put my fist through his face.
Jack: I know how you feel.
Billy: As long as the endgame here isn't the Newmans and the Abbotts working together, I'm there.
Jack: I will get Jabot back. It will be run by the Abbott family as our father intended, but you have to be patient, Billy.
Billy: Not my strong suit.
Phyllis: That's it. Show's over. He needs to rest.
Billy: Fair enough. Welcome home, big brother.
Victor: Jack and I agreed it is in our best interests that we put our differences behind us and work together to make this merger function the way we envisioned it.
Victoria: So, you want us to make nice with the Abbotts?
Victor: Yes. And I want you to make nice amongst yourselves. That's imperative.
Abby: Well, I have no problem with Victoria working with me.
Victoria: Don't you mean for you?
Abby: [Chuckles] Dad agreed I should keep my COO. Title.
Victor: There's enough room for both of you.
Victoria: You know, when I first started here, you made me earn my position.
Victor: Sweetheart, Abby has done that.
Victoria: She's totally winging it. Don't you see that? The COO. Title is no place for on-the-job training.
Abby: If I felt like I couldn't handle my position, then I would step down. But so far, all I've had is success.
Victoria: Yes. It's called beginner's luck.
Abby: You know what, Victoria? I'm not the enemy.
Victor: Girls, I want you to stop this, okay? No, you're not the enemy. Gabriel Bingham is, and he's gone, all right? If Jack and I work together, it'll be for the benefit of both families and both companies. That clear?
Abby: Do you really think that will happen?
Victor: Yes. There's no reason why not.
[Intercom buzzes]
Victor: Yes? Send him in. My goodness.
[Door closes]
Victor: What gives us the pleasure of your company?
Paul: I'm sorry to interrupt. I, um -- I'm here on official police business.
Anita: Is Connor sleeping?
Chelsea: Finally. I hate for him to see me upset.
Anita: I know. What's wrong? Why did you say you'd never be happy?
Chelsea: Oh, let's -- let's just drop it, okay?
Anita: Honey, I may not be the most maternal person in the world, but your happiness means everything to me.
Chelsea: You know, I'm starting to think that happiness is an illusion. Like, it doesn't really exist, at least not for me.
Anita: Did something happen with you and Gabe?
Chelsea: Gabe.
Anita: Oh, is this about Jack and Victor coming back to run Newman-Abbott together? Because they were throwing a lot of shade on Gabe in the GC articles I read.
Chelsea: Did you just say "throwing shade?"
Anita: Hey, if you're gonna attract young, hot guys, you got to speak their lingo.
Chelsea: [Laughing] Oh, my God. Please stop talking.
Anita: Honey, all I'm saying is you cannot let these jackals in the press get to you. You know, Gabe is not the man they're making him out to be.
Chelsea: Gabe's not the man you think he is either, mom.
Anita: Well, I've seen the lengths that he's gone to be with you, to prove that you belong with him. I mean, Chelsea, he loves you. And Connor. He's put everything on the line for both of you. I've never seen a man more determined or committed.
Chelsea: You don't know Gabe at all, mom. At all.
Billy: You lose something, Bingham? Family, job, everything?
Adam: You got what you wanted.
Billy: Yeah, not even close, actually. I mean, you stepped down as C.E.O. Of Newman-Abbott. You came clean about Jack not being your father. A few months ago, you even confessed that your marriage to Sage was a sham. But, you know, I feel like there's something more, like there's something you're hiding. And I'm gonna find out what it is.
Paul: You are a free man, Victor. The fact that Jack admitted to pulling his gun before you shot him convinced Chris not to take this to trial.
Victoria: So, maybe the Newmans and the Abbotts can peacefully coexist.
Jack: What about Gabriel Bingham? I mean, you certainly have enough evidence to arrest him.
Paul: I know how to do my job, Victor.
Victor: You tried to put me away for a crime I didn't commit.
Paul: You're lucky Jack backed up your story.
Victor: We both told the truth, Paul.
Paul: It's amazing, isn't it, how your stories so seamlessly dovetailed together.
Jack: I made it, dad.
Phyllis: Oh, he'd be very happy you did. I know I am. You know, babe, when you were in that hospital, I just -- I kept thinking about the last time you were here, before the shooting, and how it felt to be in your arms again.
Jack: As it always did, I hope.
Phyllis: Well...you know, that's just it. It was different. Different in a way -- and I know this is gonna sound strange, but since our wedding.
Jack: A lot's changed since then.
Phyllis: For the better. I feel connected to you again, like it's all gonna be okay.
Jack: It is. It is.
Phyllis: It's still there -- that feeling, that feeling of just us being us, right? And I don't want to lose that ever again.
Jack: We will not lose that. I promise. I promise.
Phyllis: Okay.
Jack: I'm home. I'm here to stay.
Phyllis: The day you were shot, um, when I ran into you here at the house, you seemed like you were gonna tell me something that might help make sense of the last few months. Please tell me what you were gonna say.
Jack: I don't want to talk about that right now.
Phyllis: You're tired. I know. You want to go upstairs.
Jack: I want to go upstairs, but not to rest.
Phyllis: Jack...
Jack: I need to be with you.
Slow down, I'm here let them all disappear I will hear your voice always and you will see my weakest face 'cause falling down is what I've found but wait 'cause I can see the silence in the space between us but wait 'cause I can see the silence in the space between us
Abby: It's weird how everything worked out. The charges against you are dropped and suddenly this man who's been a thorn in our side disappears from our lives all in the same day.
Victor: Yeah.
Victoria: Some might say that it's pretty convenient.
Victor: I said that eventually things would work out, and they did.
Victoria: Are you sure about that, dad? Did you hear what Paul said about yours and jack's stories lining up too neatly? I really don't think he's done investigating this matter.
Victor: Sweetheart, if Paul Williams insists on investigating this further, he's wasting taxpayers' money, all right? Jack Abbott and I have come to an agreement. We're gonna run Newman-Abbott together.
Victoria: So, no more secrets? No more lies? Complete transparency?
Victor: No more secrets. No more lies.
Victoria: All right, then. Let's start right now. Truth, dad. What happened between you and Jack in the park? And how did it get to that point in the first place?
Chelsea: Paul. What can I do for you?
Paul: Hello. Uh, I am looking for Mr. Bingham. Have you seen him?
Chelsea: Uh, not in a while, no.
Paul: Do you know where he is?
Anita: What's this about, chief Williams?
Paul: Uh, I have a warrant for Gabriel Bingham's arrest.
Anita: What?! What did he do?
Paul: Well, you don't seem surprised, Chelsea. Does this mean you knew he was planning on running?
Chelsea: Gabe left town?
Paul: We checked his apartment across the hall. His clothes, his personal belongings -- gone. Looks like he left in quite a hurry.
Chelsea: Why are you telling me this?
Paul: Well, because if you are covering for him, you could be in as much trouble as he is.
Chelsea: I'm not.
Paul: Think of your son, Chelsea. What would Connor do if you were in jail?
Chelsea: I told you. I don't know where Gabe is. So, if there's nothing else...
Paul: All right. Well, if you hear from him --
Chelsea: You will be the first to know. But I wouldn't count on it.
Paul: All right. Thank you. Ladies.
[Door opens]
Anita: You have really lost your touch. Chief Williams knows you were lying.
Chelsea: All right. I need to go out. Will you watch Connor for a few minutes?
Anita: Uh, where are you going?
Chelsea: I'll be back. Don't worry.
Anita: Chelsea...
Adam: I don't want any trouble, okay?
Billy: You know, I have known so many guys like you. These dirtbags who just...
Adam: Okay.
Billy: ...Draw people in. And they use them. They get what they need, and then they just leave them cut and bleeding on the side of the road. And you lied about what happened in the park that night. And then yr r at Chelsea's place.
Adam: I was trying to help Jack.
Billy: That is crap! It's crap, and you know you just wanted control over Newman-Abbott. And now you get to go to jail for it. But you know what? A few years behind bars isn't enough for somebody like you, 'cause I know that you've done more than just obstruct justice. And I'm going to uncover every dirty secret that you
Adam: Leave it alone, Billy.
Billy: Why should I? Because if you don't, it'll be just as much hell for you as it is for me. That's why.
Billy: So, it'd be hell for me? What does that mean?
Adam: Okay, look, man, I'm gonna be out of your life. Okay? I-I'm not gonna be able to hurt you anymore or anybody that you care about. So just let that be enough, okay?
Billy: No, no, no. What were you gonna say? Hell for me? I would love to know what that means.
Adam: I don't think you would. Get your hands off me.
Billy: What were you gonna say, Bingham, huh? What did you do? Did you hurt somebody?
Adam: I need you to drop it.
Billy: And just let you walk out of here without paying for whatever it is you've done?
Adam: Paying. Paying isn't gonna make you feel any better.
Billy: Oh, I think it might.
Adam: Why don't you go be with your children, okay? You got two beautiful children that love you. Their mother never stopped loving you. Go be with them.
Billy: Don't. Don't sit here and tell me how I should feel about my family.
Adam: Go hold your children, Billy! Tell Victoria that you love her! Stop trying to make me suffer. I'm suffering plenty.
Victoria: So, this shootout in the park was just a way of you settling who got the corner office?
Victor: Sweetheart, I'm just glad that Jack survived the shooting, all right? That the man who deserves to be punished will be.
Victoria: Gabriel.
Victor: Yes. He said that I maliciously took aim at Jack Abbott knowing full well that was not my intention.
Victoria: Look, you don't have to convince me of what a narcissistic jerk Gabriel is, but he didn't act alone in this. Jack brought him into the company. He convinced everybody that he was his son. And you gave him the title of co-COO. For reasons that I'll never understand.
Victor: What did I tell you about keeping your friends close but your enemies closer?
Victoria: Not close enough to keep him from trying to frame you for attempted murder.
Victor: Jack proved that to be a lie.
Abby: But why? If things were so bad between you and uncle Jack that you tried to kill each other, why wouldn't he back up Gabe's story and send you to prison?
Victoria: That's a very good question.
Victor: You both have got to believe me when I tell you that, after all the events of the past few months and after the shooting in the park and after that collapse in the underground, Jack has become a different person.
Victoria: What about you, dad? Are you a different person?
Victor: Very good question, and to be honest with you, I think after all the events and after all the problems I'm having with your mother, yeah, I've -- I've become somewhat of a changed person.
Jack: Phyllis.
[Muffled thud]
[Knock on door]
Jack: Chelsea.
Chelsea: Where is he? Where's Adam? Adam!
Jack: Shh. Keep your voice down. Phyllis is upstairs sleeping.
Chelsea: Oh, right. Right, and you wouldn't want her to find out you've been lying about Gabe's true identity, right?
Jack: I haven't just been protecting myself. If I turn Gabe in, he will see to it my brother is arrested for shooting him.
Chelsea: This whole thing is about to come out anyway now, Jack.
Jack: What do you mean? What happened?
Chelsea: The police are after Adam. They have a warrant for his arrest. Once they fingerprint him, this whole thing is over.
Jack: I told him I have a judge who owes me. I can get these obstruction charges dropped.
Chelsea: It's too late. Adam ran. He's a wanted man now.
Jack: Oh, damn it.
Chelsea: So, I thought -- I thought he'd come here since you're the only person he trusts.
Jack: You mean besides you.
Chelsea: We -- we got in a fight, and I -- it doesn't matter. Have you seen him, Jack?
Jack: No.
Chelsea: Please. I need you to tell me.
Jack: I am telling you the truth, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Oh. Yeah, I don't really know what I would have done if he was here. [Sighs] I'm not sure why I came.
Jack: Maybe it's better he's gone. You and I have risked a lot to keep his secret. And we both know he belongs in prison for killing Delia.
Chelsea: What happened to Delia -- it was horrible, tragic accident. And yes, Adam was responsible, but --
Jack: And you don't think he belongs in prison?
Chelsea: He wasn't drunk. He wasn't on drugs. There was no malicious intent. You know Adam didn't even know he hit her.
Jack: When he found out, he should have come forward.
Chelsea: You're right. He should have. If Adam had just gone to the police the minute he realized he had hit Delia, things would have turned out a lot differently for him.
Jack: It wouldn't have been any different for Delia.
Chelsea: You don't think he knows that? He was afraid no one would believe him. He's always thought of himself as -- as the -- the black sheep, not being good enough, at least not to the people that mattered most to him.
Jack: And what about you? You've always accepted him for who he is.
Chelsea: I wish that was enough. The truth of the matter is there is a part of Adam, a big part of Adam that will forever be wanting his father's approval. And it brings out the worst in him. I convinced myself that maybe he had gotten past all that, you know? That maybe this second chance at life with me and Connor had -- had changed him. But I was just fooling myself. He's still that broken, damaged little boy who just wants his dad's approval, and he will do anything to get it. I can't be with that man.
Jack: I think you've just answered your own question about why you're here. You had to make sure he's gone.
Chelsea: I think it's best if, um -- if Adam remains dead in everybody's mind, including his son's.
[Rustling]
Chelsea: Maybe that's for the best. Tonight reminded me of all the bad that goes along with all the good in Adam. He's two different people, and one is nothing like the other.
Phyllis: Okay, not that I'm complaining...
Marco: But...?
Phyllis: You -- what is with this wild-man you are insatiable.
Phyllis: What changed, Jack?
Anita: Well, I was not expecting you.
Adam: Yeah.
Anita: Chelsea's not here. U uh, do you know when she'll be back?
Anita: No. She didn't say. She just took of police left.
Adam: The police were here?
Anita: Chief Williams here looking for you. That didn't take long, did it?
Anita: For the cops to figure out you were lying to them?
Adam: No. No, I wasn't lying. For Victor to I was lying. He set me up perfectly, Anita. He had ass fingerprints on it planted here in the apartment, made sure the cops found it, and now they want me arrested.
Anita: Okay. You know what? You have to explain this to Chelsea.
Adam: Yeah...: : You have to let her know that you are not guilty of what they're accusing you of.
Adam: It's too late
Anita: No, that's not true. Don't say that, Gabe.
Adam: I can't stay here in Genoa city. It's too dangerous.
Anita: But you love Chelsea.
Adam: I do love her. I do. That's why I'm here. Actually, I was gonna say goodbye to her and -- and Connor, if that's possible. Anita: Yeah, sure. Sure. I just -- I really wish you didn't have to do this, Gabe.
Adam: Thank you. Me, too. Thank you.
Adam: [Sighs] Paul: You know, this case is getting more frustrating by the minute.
Christine: So we need to take a breath and relax.
Paul: You know, every time I s somebody slips through the cracks.
Christine: Okay, what happened now? To arrest Gabriel Bingham. He's gone. He's left town. And Chelsea is covering for him.
Christine: And that surprises
Paul: [Sighs] Well, it doesn't surprise me that she covers for him, but the fact that Bingham made himself a fugitive -- I mean, he could have gotten off with a suspended sentence with a good lawyer. Why run?
Paul: It doesn't make sense.
Christine: Okay, just --
Billy: It does if he's done more than obstruct justice.
Paul: Oh, by all means, Billy, come right in. You know?
Billy: I just ran into Bingham at the park. The guy is hiding something. that's why he's running.
Paul: Oh, I see. Did he tell you that? That?
Billy: No, Paul, he's not going to admit it to me, but the guy's a thre
Paul: Well, we have an APB out on him right now, so we are bringing him in as soon as we possibly can.
Billy: Well, I hope you do something soon, because someone is going to get hurt.
Victoria: You're right, Dad. Things have changed for you and Jack, but I don't see how being shot by you would give him a renewed impetus to make this merger work.
Victor: Victoria, my darling, this near-tragedy has made Jack realize that it is best for both of our families if he and I get along.
Abby: You said the same thing after the underground collapse.
Victor: But I think this time the difference is that we have made peace.
Abby: Well, maybe he just pretended to call a truce and he's waiting for the right moment to exact his revenge.
Victoria: You said he pulled a gun on you.
Victor: Both of you are beginning to exasperate me. Jack Abbott has realized that it's best if he and I become allies -- best for both of our companies, all right? He needs me.
Victoria: Maybe. But I think you need him more.
Jack: Hey. You awake? [Smooches]
Paul: You know, I'm really getting sick and tired of people telling me how to do my job.
Billy: Well, Bingham needs to be off the streets.
Paul: Oh, thanks for the heads up. We have it under control.
Billy: Seems to me if you did, the guy would be behind bars.
Paul: You know, you're gonna be behind bars if you don't get the hell out of my office.
Christine: I'd take his advice if I were you.
Billy: No, that's a great plan. Throw the innocent guys in jail. Let the dirtbags run free.
Paul: We are looking for him! What don't you hear?!
Billy: You know what? Forget it. I'll do it myself.
Paul: Oh, the hell you will! You're gonna --
Christine: Paul! Paul! Paul! Paul, sweetheart! Get some help! Go! Sweetheart. Paul. Can you hear me? Can you hear me? We're getting help. Get help! Hurry!
Chelsea: I'm home. Mom. Mom, I'm home. Mom. Mom? Mom.
Anita: Oh.
Chelsea: Wake up.
Anita: Huh?
Chelsea: Wake up.
Anita: Okay, okay.
Chelsea: What's the matter with you? What happened?
Anita: No. Nothing. I just, uh -- I must have drifted off when Gabe came here to see Connor.
Chelsea: Whoa, whoa, whoa. When Gabe what?
Anita: Connor and Gabe are together. They're, um...
Chelsea: They're upstairs right now?
Anita: Yeah, I-I think so.
Chelsea: Gabe! Gabe!
Anita: No, it's okay. Chelsea...
Chelsea: Gabe!
Anita: Chelsea?
Chelsea: Gabe? My God. Oh, my God. They're gone. They're not up there, mom!
Anita: Honey, I'm sure he'll be back.
Chelsea: Call 911. Call 911 right now.
Anita: What?!
Chelsea: Just do it, okay?
Anita: Okay, um...
Chelsea: Oh, my God. [Gasps] Oh, thank God. Hey, baby. Hi. Oh, I'm so glad. Mommy was so worried about you.
Adam: Sorry if I worried you.
Chelsea: Hi. Oh, I was so scared. Mom, can you take him upstairs?
Anita: Of course I'll take the little man. Hi, sweetie. Hi. What you got up there? What you got?
Chelsea: You seriously tried to steal my son?
Adam: Our son, okay? And I -- and I came back. I realized it was a -- it was a mistake.
Chelsea: How nice that you got a conscience all of a sudden, that you realized it was a mistake. How could you do that? How could you even consider taking Connor from me?
Adam: How is that any worse than you threatening to shut me out of his life, Chelsea?
Chelsea: What?
Adam: I heard you talking to Jack. You said it would be better for Connor if he just thought that I was dead. Now, I'm not trying to make an excuse for what I did. That was horrible. But the idea of my son not knowing who I am... okay, look, what I did was wrong. I shouldn't have done that. If you want to call the police, just -- just --
Chelsea: No. I'm not gonna do that.
Adam: Thank you.
Chelsea: Don't thank me. I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it for Connor. He already has to live with enough of your mistakes.
Adam: You keep saying that, Chelsea. Come on.
Chelsea: Get out. Get out.
Adam: Listen to me. That was stupid, okay? But I-I feel like I can make it up to you if you just give me a chance. Now, Jack said that he's --
Chelsea: No. I am so done, Adam. I am so done. I am so sick of waiting for you to change when you never do. I am so done. You are never gonna change, so I want you out of my life.
Adam: And I asking you --
Chelsea: No! And I'm saying no! I can't do this anymore! I'm so tired! [Crying] I can't keep setting myself up to be disappointed by you. Please, please, go.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Billy: You're just pouring gasoline on the fire to torch Newman-Abbott.
Victor: Why don't you resign?
Cane: They're bonding over being adulterers.
Devon: Just back off and leave her alone.
Harding: We scan your fingerprints, see if we get any hits.
