Episode # 10718 ~ Chelsea faces the truth about her relationship with Adam; Sage deals with the fallout from her lies; Dylan makes a confession to Sharon.

Provided By Suzanne

Sharon: [Sighs] I don't know why I'm so nervous. It's not like I haven't had an ultrasound before.

Dylan: Well, still, there's nothing like seeing your baby for the first time or hearing the -- hearing the heartbeat.

Sharon: Are you worried? I mean, because of what happened with Avery's pregnancy?

Dylan: [Sighs] I'm -- I'm trying to stay positive because I'm sure you're gonna give birth to a strong, healthy baby. And I'm gonna do everything I can to make that happen.

Stitch: Believe me. When Mac sets his mind to something, he's unstoppable. [Chuckles]

Dylan: Uh, apparently so are you, unless you're just wearing this for fun.

Stitch: Yeah, you're looking at memorial hospital's newest/oldest resident.

Sharon: Wow.

Dylan: That's great, man.

Sharon: They reinstated you! That so great! Congratulations, stitch.

Stitch: Thanks. Uh, sorry I didn't tell you before now. It's just -- I've been swamped.

Dylan: Yeah.

Sharon: You know, I'm gonna see if I can find the ultrasound tech, and I'll let you two catch up.

Dylan: Cool. We'll be right here. Well, congratulations. I know how happy it makes you to be back doing something you love to do.

Stitch: Yeah. It looks like we've both been giving a second chance at happiness.

Both: Don't blow it.

Stitch: Ah!

Dylan: [Chuckles] Don't do it.

Stitch: Don't.

Sharon: Oh, Sage.

Sage: Sharon. Sorry. I didn't see you.

Sharon: Uh...is everything okay?

Sage: Yeah, uh, I'm just a little preoccupied. I have an appointment with my ob-gyn.

Sharon: What a coincidence. So do I. You know, Dylan and I are so excited about it. You and Nick must feel the same way.

Sage: Yeah, I don't know if nick's gonna show up.

Sharon: Oh. Don't tell me. Newman family business. That's the only thing I could think of that would keep him away.

Sage: No, it's -- it's me. [Sighs] The truth is I don't really know where I stand with Nick anymore.

Nick: You're just dying to tell me, aren't you? That you slept with Sage. Well, I already know that. But here's something you don't know -- Sage had a DNA test run and the baby is mine. So you can stay the hell away.

Adam: Well, you know what, Nick? You'll forgive me if I don't put much store in paternity tests considering your history with them.

Nick: How'd you know that?

[Knock on door]

Marisa: Who is it?

Room service.

Marisa: There must be some sort of mistake. I didn't order... look, I have a job to get to. I don't have time...

Noah: Hope you're enjoying your stay, Ms. Sierras. [Chuckles] You know, this is becoming a habit -- a very bad habit.

Kevin: Hey. You ready?

Mariah: Hey. Yeah, Noah just needs to get here, and then I am off the clock. Do you have everything we need?

Kevin: Uh-huh. Everything else is in the car. What time is Noah due in?

Mariah: Um, 10 minutes ago.

Kevin: Did you call him?

Mariah: Yeah, it went straight to voicemail.

Kevin: Can you try him again? The sooner we get out of here, the sooner we get up to the lake.

Mariah: Yeah.

Abby: What's at the lake?

Kevin: Abby. Shouldn't you be at home resting?

Mariah: Yeah. We heard about your accident. I heard it was pretty serious.

Kevin: Yeah. You don't want to tax yourself. You never know with these things. One little tweak and, bam, you're in a neck brace for the rest of your life.

Abby: Nice try. What's going on at the lake?

Mariah: Swimming.

Kevin: Fishing.

Abby: Which is it? Swimming or fishing?

Kevin: Swimming.

Mariah: Fishing.

Kevin: Fishing and swimming.

Abby: Right. So, I am going to give up all of my worldly goods and become a nun.

Mariah: Ooh, fun! Can I have your shoes?

Abby: You're not fooling me, you know. There's only one reason why you would lie about your trip to the lake. You're going skinny dipping, aren't you?

Mariah: [Chuckles] Well, Abby, can't get one past you. You found us out.

Kevin: Were we that obvious?

Abby: Well, to someone who's been there, done that. And trust me, the flippers -- you think they're gonna be sexy, but...

Mariah: Do you mind keeping our little adventure on the down-low? We really don't want the GCPD finding out.

Kevin: Yeah. It would just give them another excuse to fire me.

Mariah: And really, we're just doing it so we can blow off some steam. I mean, it's been so tense lately.

Abby: Tense? Why?

Mariah: Oh, I don't know. Maybe it's the three murders that have yet to be solved. How easily they forget.

Kevin: Right?

Abby: That's not fair. I was almost a victim, too, and I lost someone that I loved.

Mariah: I am gonna stop you right there.

Abby: [Sighs] Kevin, you're on the inside. Have the police made any headway with the investigation?

Kevin: The police? No.

Abby: But someone else has?

Kevin: I didn't say that.

Abby: You didn't have to. Come on. Tell me what's going on. Kevin, I deserve to know.

Kevin: Fine. It's -- it's about the guy responsible for the killings, Marco Annicelli.

Abby: I thought they ruled him out.

Mariah: We have reason to believe the cops may have been wrong about that.

Abby: So, what? There's some psycho drug lord on the loose, waiting to strike again?

Mariah: Not necessarily.

Kevin: He may be dead. Drowned.

Abby: May be?

Mariah: That's what we're gonna try to find out.

Abby: No. Absolutely not. We are gonna do things right for once. We are going to the police.

Marisa: As tempting as it is, I'm gonna have to do as I said and take things slow.

Noah: Yeah. No, you're right. [Clears throat] Sorry. Didn't mean to be pushy.

Marisa: I just don't want to repeat the same old patterns, you know?

Noah: Mm-hmm. Yeah, no, I get it. I, uh -- look, I-I just came here to, um, make sure that you -- you didn't change your mind, take off 'cause of what my friends found out.

Marisa: That I'd been keeping things from you.

Noah: Well, you came clean now. That's all that matters. So...we can start fresh. And if you need any more reminding of exactly what Genoa city has to offer...

Marisa: Tiny hamburgers.

Noah: No. These are Wisconsin beef sliders with good, old-fashioned Wisconsin cheese.

Marisa: Sliders?

Noah: Yes. Sliders. Because, uh, you see, they slide right in your mouth.

Marisa: [Laughs]

Noah: Mmm.

Marisa: Oh!

Noah: Yeah, sometimes not, though.

Marisa: Let me.

Noah: That's really big.

Marisa: [Laughs]

Noah: Thanks.

Marisa: I'm, um -- I'm really sorry I didn't tell you everything about Marco.

Noah: Forget about him, okay? The guy's at the bottom of a lake. He got his punishment.

Marisa: And me?

Noah: What about you?

Marisa: You don't think I deserve punishment, too?

Noah: Mm-hmm. [Chuckles] Look, you're not responsible for my fiancée's death. Or any others.

Marisa: Your friends think I am.

Noah: They don't know you.

Marisa: And I told you once -- you barely know me at all.

Noah: I know all I need to know.

Marisa: I should change. I'm going to be late for work.

Dylan: Man, things are a hell of a lot different for us now than they were this time last year, huh?

Stitch: Yeah.

Dylan: Well, I bet Ashley's sorry to lose you.

Stitch: Why would you say that?

Dylan: Uh, because you were the lead chemist, and I heard her say that you were irreplaceable.

Stitch: Ashley's been great, totally encouraging. Uh, said to get back to my true love.

Dylan: Speaking of -- Abby?

Stitch: [Chuckles]

Dylan: How is she? That was, uh -- that was no minor fender bender she was in.

Stitch: Yeah. She was lucky to get out of it relatively unscathed.

Dylan: Well, don't let her overdo it.

Stitch: Believe it or not, she's actually playing hooky from, uh, Newman-Abbott today. We're even getting together later for a little quality chill time.

Dylan: Mm. Next thing you know, I'll be the best man, and --

Stitch: Whoa. Hey! Whoa! Hit the brakes, man.

Dylan: All right.

Stitch: We haven't even, you know, seen a movie together.

Dylan: Okay. Everything at its own pace.

Stitch: Yeah. Like you and Sharon?

Dylan: Man, it was tough saying goodbye to Avery.

Stitch: Yeah.

Dylan: But it was the right thing, you know? She's off getting help. She's piecing her life back together. And me -- I-I never could have predicted things would turn out this way. And I feel like I'm finally getting everything I ever wanted.

Sharon: Well, I don't know what's wrong between you and Nick, but it's not like him to keep his distance when you're expecting his child.

Sage: Well, he has good reason.

Sharon: Okay, well, if it helps any, you know, Nick is a very forgiving person. You know, he -- he was with me. Except when I pushed him to the limit, but I-I don't imagine you did anything like that.

Sage: He was very angry last time I saw him.

Sharon: You want me to talk to him?

Sage: No. Gosh, no.

Sharon: 'Cause I don't mind.

Sharon: I can -- I can handle it.

Sharon: If there's anything I can do to help --

Sage: You can't do anything, Sharon. No one can.

Sharon: Wow. I can't imagine it would be that bad. I mean, it's not as if you messed with his daughter's DNA test. [Chuckles]

Sage: I, uh -- I lied to him about something pretty important.

Sharon: What could be so important?

Sage: This baby. I told Nick that I never slept with Gabe, and I did. Once. And I'm paying for it.

Adam: How do I know that you lied about your -- your kid's paternity test? I don't know. Nick, these things -- they're not big government secrets, you know? People talk. They tell stories. I heard it.

Nick: I didn't lie.

Adam: You didn't lie? Okay. Well, if that makes you feel better, that's fine. What do you want to call it? An omission? The point is the results of the first test were compromised, right? So, you made it out like you went and got a second test. Except you didn't get a second test. And I remember thinking, you know, "that doesn't sound like Nick. That doesn't sound like the Nick Newman that I went to boarding school with. He wouldn't do something like that." Except you did, right? So, who's to say you wouldn't do it again? Just claim that this baby is yours because you want it to be.

Nick: I say.

Adam: You say? [Chuckles] You say. Well, that's not good enough for me.

Nick: Well, I'm willing to do a second test. Are you?

Adam: Here's what I don't understand. Why is it that you're so eager to jump into this with Sage? You're not at all concerned about what her motives might be?

Nick: Not everyone has an agenda, Gabe.

Adam: Sage did. Sage did when she married me. It was money. She wanted my inheritance. Of course, the divorce sort of look care of that. She ended up getting a couple of crumbs from Constance's estate, which is why she needs you to be this baby's father. Do you understand that? Who's to say she's not trying to trap you?

Chelsea: Uh, don't listen to him, Nick.

Adam: When did you get here?

Chelsea: Just in time to hear all of this "Sage the gold digger" ridiculousness.

Nick: It is ridiculous. Although I'm surprised to hear you're on my side.

Chelsea: Well, I'm not on your side. I'm on the side of a woman who was told she could never have a baby.

Adam: Yeah. That's what she claims, anyway. That could be a lie, too. You know, some people lie as easily as they breathe.

Chelsea: Yes. They do.

Chelsea: There are definitely people in the world who get ahead by lying, but then there are normal people who like to live honest, drama-free lives.

Adam: Mm. I agree with you. If you're saying to me that Sage is one of those people --

Chelsea: Sage's doctor told her she couldn't conceive. So she didn't just make that up. So, your whole "Sage is trapping Nick by getting pregnant" thing -- it doesn't fly.

Nick: She's got you there.

Chelsea: This baby is -- is a miracle. Even you believe in miracles, right, Gabe?

Adam: Yes, Chelsea, I do. But sometimes, it's just blind luck.

Chelsea: Sage really does love you, Nick. She told me she didn't know the true meaning of the world until she met you.

Adam: No, that's really sweet. Of course, it's possible that she's been lying to us about every single thing.

Nick: Yeah, you two can continue talking about this if you want. I'm out of here.

Adam: What are you doing? Why are you defending Sage?

Sage: I'm sorry that I said all that to you. I shouldn't dump my problems all over you.

Sharon: No, no. That's okay. Hey, us pregnant ladies -- we got to look out for each other, right? We got precious cargo on board.

Sage: [Chuckles] Yeah. Absolutely.

Sharon: You know what? If you want to talk anymore about this, I mean, I'm assuming, based on what you said, that there's a possibility Gabriel is the baby's father.

Sage: No, no. He's not the father.

Sharon: Okay. You know that for sure?

Sage: Yes. For sure. I had a paternity test, and the results just came in.

Sharon: Oh. Okay, well -- well, then I'm happy for you and Nick.

Sharon: Yeah. I wish Nick was happy, too.

Sharon: You know, I-I can stay after my checkup and I can be there for when you have yours.

Sage: That is so sweet, Sharon. Thank you. Thank you, but I have to do it alone. After all, I-I might have to get used to doing everything alone.

Dylan: Hey. They're ready for us.

Sharon: Oh, okay. Yeah. I just -- I-I ran into Sage and I got caught up talking to her. I didn't even look for the tech.

Dylan: How you doing? Is the baby good?

Sage: Great.

Stitch: Baby. Wow. I had no idea you guys were expecting. Congratulations.

Dylan: Our kids are gonna be cousins. They're gonna grow up together. Isn't that great?

Sage: Yeah, it -- it's really great. [Clears throat]

Dylan: All right. Sharon, we got to go. Let's do this.

Sharon: Okay. Yes. Um, you know what? I'll -- I'll be around.

Stitch: Uh...I need to take off, myself.

Sage: Yeah.

Stitch: You need anything before I go?

Sage: No, I'm good. Uh, yeah, actually. Can you talk to dr. Greene and tell her that I might be a little bit late? 'Cause I'm thinking that nick's gonna show up, so, uh --

Stitch: Of course. Got to wait for dad. I'll let her know.

Sage: Thanks.

Stitch: All right.

Mariah: We can't go to the police with this. We promised Noah we'd keep it quiet.

Abby: Why would Noah want to hush this up? This could be his best chance to solve Courtney's murder.

Kevin: He's protecting someone.

Abby: Who? The maniac drug dealer?

Mariah: I mean, summer and Kyle know. There's no reason why we shouldn't let Abby in on it.

Abby: In on what? Come on. Just tell me. I'll dig it up anyway.

Mariah: All right. You know that waitress that works here, the new one, the Penelope Cruz wannabe?

Abby: The one that Noah was giving hands-on training to? That's who he's protecting?

Kevin: That trainee is Marisa sierras. And she was Marco Annicelli's girlfriend.

Abby: What? And Noah knows about this?

Mariah: No, no. He didn't until Kevin sussed it out and Marisa was forced to come clean.

Kevin: She claims they've been apart for years, but they miraculously ended up here at the same time.

Mariah: And then they both were in a car accident where he died.

Kevin: And she survived.

Abby: Well, that's nine kinds of suspicious.

Kevin: Yes, it is, Abby. We think she knows more than she's letting on.

Abby: Well, look who it is.

Noah: Hey, Abby. Uh, this is --

Abby: Yeah, I know who this is. And the scum you hang out with.

Noah: Uh...who?

Abby: The Peruvian drug lord.

Noah: Right. Hey, thanks for keeping it a secret.

Abby: Noah, why are you protecting her?

Noah: [Clears throat]

Marisa: Look, I don't blame you for not trusting me, but I swear I had nothing to do with Marco before he got here.

Abby: Then how did you end up in a car with him?

Marisa: He forced me to go with him when he found me.

Noah: And if Marco's associates find out that she was with him when he died, her life could be in danger. And I think we've lost enough people already, haven't we?

Abby: Fine. If the others are willing to keep this between us, then I will, too. For now.

Marisa: [Sighs] Thank you. Noah says you're trustworthy and will keep my secret.

Dylan: Hey.

Sharon: Hi.

Dylan: How's everything going?

Sharon: Well, the exam was fine.

Dylan: Great.

Sharon: Now the fun part.

Should be any second now.

Dylan: Is -- is that it right there?

Sharon: Yes. Yeah, that's it. That's our baby. Oh, my God. Hi, sweet pea. It's Mommy and Daddy.

He or she is quite the looker.

Sharon: We don't want to know the sex.

Dylan: It's too early. Right now, all we care about is that this baby's healthy.

[Heart beating]

Abby: Hey.

Stitch: You made it.

Abby: So did you. I was afraid you were gonna have to work a double shift.

Stitch: And I was wondering if a call for work was gonna be too great to resist.

Abby: Ah, they'll be fine without me there for a day or so.

Stitch: Since when?

Abby: Since Gabe ceded control of the company back over to my dad.

Stitch: Wow. So, does that mean you won't be slammed anymore?

Abby: Well, actually, my dad kept me on as COO. So it doesn't look like things are gonna let up anytime soon.

Stitch: For me either. Chief of staff already warned me that, uh, it's only gonna get crazier from here on out. [Chuckles]

Abby: [Chuckles] Wow. Well, look at us. We are two busy people with dazzling careers that could come between us. But we have to remember what brought us together.

Stitch: Yeah, I'm not about to forget. It was the threat against your life, a threat that may still exist.

Abby: But what if I'm not in danger anymore? What if I don't need a bodyguard?

Stitch: Why do you say that? Has there been a break in the case?

Abby: Let me tell you all about it.

Mariah: [Laughs] Abby was definitely wrong about one thing.

Kevin: Oh, yeah? What's that?

Mariah: Those flippers are sexy as hell.

Kevin: Yeah?

Mariah: Yeah?

Kevin: This doing it for you?

Mariah: Oh, yeah.

Kevin: How about this?

Mariah: Oh, I love it. It's great.

Kevin: Check out this.

Mariah: Oh! Where did you get all of this stuff?

Kevin: Do you really want to know?

Mariah: I guess not. Do you really know how to use it?

Kevin: Uh...I guess we're gonna find out. [Chuckles]

Mariah: Hopefully we'll find out more than that.

Kevin: Yeah. Okay. That's for you.

Mariah: Thank you.

Marisa: Do you really believe your friends will keep their word?

Noah: Don't worry. You'll be safe, okay?

Marisa: Thank you.

Noah: Hey. What are you doing here?

Nick: Is that the way you greet your father?

Noah: I, uh -- sorry, I just -- Sage said that she had an appointment this afternoon, and I-I thought you'd be with her. The appointment over? Dad. Hey. Dad, what -- what's going on? Is everything okay? Is it the baby? What's up?

Nick: No, the problem isn't the baby. It's the baby's mother.

Noah: Okay. Wh-what about her?

Nick: Well, I can't trust her anymore than I can trust that dude she slept with.

Chelsea: The question isn't why am I defending Sage. The question is why are you dumping all over her after everything she's done for you. I mean, she -- she lied to Nick and everybody else about your identity.

Adam: Yeah, she did. Because it meant a big payday for her.

Chelsea: Well, she never collected on that. And after she divorced you, she didn't get that inheritance and she still kept your secret.

Adam: Yeah, she did. Because think about how it would look to Nick if he found out that she was keeping my identity a secret from him for over a year, right? You know what she's doing here? She's -- she's protecting her nest egg, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Okay, so, isn't that a good thing? She has a reason to stay silent. So, why are you trying to put doubts in nick's mind about her? Why are you trying to come between them, especially if they're having a baby together?

Adam: Because I'm not sure that the baby she's carrying is his.

Chelsea: Come on. If the baby isn't nick's, then -- you son of a bitch.

Adam: You hear me out, okay? That thing with Sage meant absolutely nothing.

Chelsea: Don't you dare start making excuses. There is no excuse for cheating on the woman you supposedly love, the family that you supposedly love.

Adam: I do love you. You and Connor -- you -- you mean everything to me. Nothing means more -- no woman, no job, nothing.

Chelsea: So, then what? What? The thing with Sage was just some...recreational fun?

Adam: No.

Chelsea: Other guys play golf. You have sex with your ex-wife?!

Adam: Shh! Hear me out, okay?

Chelsea: I thought that -- I thought you said that whole marriage was for show, but you had sex with her? And now she -- she's carrying your kid?

Adam: Maybe carrying my child.

Chelsea: Oh, my God. Everything you say is always a lie. This whole act, this whole person you've created is all a lie.

Noah: Is it really that big of a shock? I mean, Gabe and Sage -- they were -- they were married.

Nick: It was more of a business arrangement than it was a marriage, at least, that's what Sage always told me.

Noah: So, you're thinking the whole time that they were together, they were actually...

Nick: Sage swears it was only one time.

Noah: Well, wait a minute. That -- that could mean that Gabe is the father of the baby, then.

Nick: Except he's not. The DNA test proved that I am the baby's father, and Gabe's just gonna have to accept that.

Noah: Okay. So, then you just can't get over the fact that she messed around on you.

Nick: [Sighs] Technically, she didn't.

Noah: What does that mean?

Nick: It happened after I broke it off with her.

Noah: I mean, then -- then you can't really blame her, can you? If a relationship is over, you have every right to move on. Don't you?

Nick: It's not the sex that's what's bothering me. It's the fact that she hid it. She let me believe that the baby was mine before she'd found out for sure. How am I supposed to get past that?

Excuse me. Dr. Greene asked me to tell you that she has other patients to see, so if you'd like to reschedule, we can --

Sage: Oh, no, no. It's okay. Uh, I thought the baby's father would be coming, but he got caught up in something. I'm ready.

Dylan: Come on. Isn't this great? We can make copies, hand it out like cigars. Tell me that this is not the greatest picture ever taken. Go ahead. You can say it. I'm acting like a fool going on and on about an ultrasound picture!

Sharon: No, I... I think it's great how excited you are about our baby. But then I think of Sage and I think of her having to go through her pregnancy alone.

Dylan: What do you mean alone? She's got Nick. Nick can't wait to have another kid.

Sharon: No, that might not be the case anymore. And Sage is adamant that she can do it by herself. [Voice breaking] And I don't know, maybe she can, but I know that I couldn't.

Dylan: Okay. You -- you don't have to.

Sharon: I'm sure Nick said that to Sage, too. Look how that turned out. You know what? If you're gonna walk out on me, then do me a favor and just go now.

Dylan: Okay. Ho-hold on. I don't understand. One minute, we are sharing this amazing moment. And the next minute, you're telling me to take a hike.

Sharon: I'm just acknowledging what we both have already learned the hard way.

Dylan: Which is?

Sharon: That relationships -- they're not built to last.

Dylan: My parents' lasted up until my mom passed away.

Sharon: Okay, well, things were different in their generation. That's how it worked. It's not like that anymore. You know, a baby wasn't enough to keep Nick and Sage together. It wasn't enough to keep me and Nick together. And look at you and Avery. Everything -- people thought you two would last forever. And you didn't. So, I say just -- let's just end this now before it -- before we get any closer, before the baby comes, before it's too hard for me to say goodbye to you.

Dylan: Stop, stop. I am not going anywhere, okay? I want this baby more than anything. You understand?

Sharon: I understand. The reason that you're staying is because of the baby.

Adam: Chelsea, you're wrong. What you and I have is real, and you know that. Sage and I -- it was a lie. We led completely separate lives.

Chelsea: Mm. Obviously not completely.

Adam: It was one night. I was trying to get over the fact that you were marrying Billy. Nick had just broke up with Sage.

Chelsea: So, this is my fault now?

Adam: No.

Chelsea: It's nick's fault. It's Billy's fault.

Adam: No.

Chelsea: You can never take any responsibility.

Adam: That's not true. I'm trying to explain to you what happened, okay? We were drunk. We ran into each other. We both said how much we hated one another, and we fell into bed.

Chelsea: People don't just fall into bed.

Adam: That's what happened this time, all right? And then, after it was done, we -- we both regretted it. And it hasn't happened since.

Chelsea: Yet.

Adam: Yet? Wh-why would I want to be with her when I have you?

Chelsea: Why do you do any of the things that you do, Adam? Why did you -- why did you blackmail your own father to get control of his company?

Adam: You know exactly why I did that. You know what that man has done to me.

Chelsea: Yeah, yeah. Why did you, uh, pretend you were blind? Why did you pretend you were Ashley's friend when, really, you knew you were responsible for her miscarriage? Why did you cover up what happened to Delia?

Adam: I have done a lot of horrible, terrible things in my life. We both have.

Chelsea: Most of us learn from our mistakes, Adam.

Adam: I have, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Then why are you trying to ruin things between Nick and Sage, huh? Why -- why are you saying this baby might be yours?

Adam: Because I do. I think it might be mine.

Chelsea: I don't even think that you do believe that.

Adam: Of course I do.

Chelsea: No. I think you're just trying to one-up your brother. I think you're trying to be top dog. The truth is [Sighs] You haven't changed at all. It's like you can't even help yourself. You're just your own worst enemy. But [Sniffs] I don't have to be a part of it anymore, and I won't be ever again.

Adam: Chelsea...

Abby: Good news. My old room was available. Back to where it all started. We can relive old times.

Stitch: Okay. Just a second. I want to ask you something.

Abby: About the break in the case?

Stitch: How did you know about it?

Abby: Kevin and Mariah.

Stitch: Okay, I thought -- I thought you were past that -- playing amateur detective. What -- what, uh --

Abby: I am. I'm all about Newman-Abbott. I just happened to walk in on Kevin and Mariah talking about some lead they uncovered.

Stitch: What lead?

Abby: I'm not exactly sure. I don't know. It was something about proof about who the murderer was.

Stitch: Was?

Abby: Apparently, he might be dead.

Stitch: Okay, but it's -- it's not been confirmed, yet?

Abby: No. It still needs to be checked out.

Stitch: Now, you aren't thinking of doing the checking, are you?

Abby: No. I am not about to make myself a target again. Even though something good did come out of it.

Stitch: Yeah, we were living one minute to the next, weren't we?

Abby: Mm-hmm.

Stitch: Taking nothing for granted. All that mattered was keeping you safe.

Abby: And you did an incredible job.

Stitch: Guess my old combat instincts kicked in.

Abby: Heart racing, danger all around.

Stitch: Oh, I remember.

[Both chuckle]

Stitch: You got that key card?

Abby: Somewhere in here.

Stitch: Find it fast.

Marisa: I, uh -- I couldn't help overhearing, and I hope you don't mind some advice.

Nick: In your vast experience?

Noah: You'd be surprised.

Marisa: I've learned that sometimes it's wiser to keep a secret than to tell the truth.

Nick: Wiser?

Marisa: Maybe Sage was trying to protect you.

Noah: Uh, hey. I've got to grab some stuff from the stockroom. Would you mind helping me out?

Sage: Can I have a word with you for a minute?

Nick: Yeah. Let's -- let's sit down.

Nick: How was the checkup?

Sage: Baby's doing fine.

Nick: Ultrasound, everything looks...good?

Sage: Yeah. You'd know the answer to that if you showed up. It's fine. I understand. Actually, uh, you not showing up told me everything that I needed to know.

Nick: And what was that?

Sage: It means that I'm not gonna make this any harder for you. Okay? I'm gonna move out of your house, and I'm gonna find a new manager to take my place.

Nick: Sage, that is not what I --

Sage: Can you just please let me finish? [Sighs] I know that I should have been honest with you. I should have told you from the start that there was a question about the baby's paternity. But I kept it to myself because I didn't want to hurt you, because I didn't want to lose you. But I did anyway, so...it serves me right. It wasn't fair getting you to stay with me because of a lie. And I'm very sorry that I did that. I'm sorry. I'm gonna get my things out of the office, and I'm gonna get out of your life.

Nick: Sage, just wait. Wait.

Noah: Well, I guess you were right.

Marisa: About what?

Noah: Thing you said to my dad. Maybe some secrets are better left secret.

Mariah: [Sighs]

Kevin: Then again, sometimes not.

Noah: What the hell happened to you two?

Mariah: I'll give you one hint. We didn't get caught in the rain.

Marisa: You've been to the lake, haven't you?

Kevin: And you will never guess what we found.

Dylan: I could get upset with you right now and just walk out of here and prove that you're right, but you're not. Some things do last if you do your damndest to make it happen.

Sharon: That's not necessarily true.

Dylan: I'm in this right now because I'm gonna be a father, Sharon. We are gonna start a family. It's been a dream of mine since I can remember. But there is more to it than that. I want to have a future with you, no matter what.

Sharon: But if I hadn't gotten pregnant --

Dylan: I'd be with you. It wouldn't have made a difference. I mean, I was committed to you before we even knew there was a baby. What else can I say to convince you?

Sharon: If you don't walk away, I will.

Dylan: Don't. Don't walk away. There's one thing I haven't said. I love you.

Stitch: We need to stay on guard, you know?

Abby: Mm-hmm. Just until we know about the killer.

Stitch: I promise you I'm gonna watch your back.

Abby: Just my back?

Stitch: I'll start there and see where it leads me.

Abby: [Chuckles]

Noah: So much for your promise to stay out of this and forget about Marco.

Mariah: We told you that we wouldn't go to the cops and we didn't.

Kevin: Right. But we needed to know the truth, and we found it.

Marisa: And what did you find?

Kevin: A car matching the description you gave us at the bottom of the lake.

Marisa: I told you the car was there. Why didn't you believe me?

Mariah: The car was there, but no body. No Marco anywhere.

Nick: Will you just hear me out before you pack up your things?

Sage: If it's to make me feel worse than I already do, Nick, I'm good.

Nick: Look, I don't want another manager. I definitely don't want you to move out of our place.

Sage: If this is about keeping tabs on the baby, you can have the doctor send you reports. You can call him if that's preferable.

Nick: What I'm trying to say is I don't... I was wrong for blaming you for turning to someone else. If anything, it was my fault for pushing you away because I thought that's what was best for faith. You had every right to look to someone else.

Sage: But I didn't have the right to keep it from you. Especially after we got back together, after I got pregnant.

Nick: Yeah, well, I saw Gabe earlier. He seems to think you're using this pregnancy to try and trap me, and he seems to also think this baby's his, despite the results.

Sage: No. This baby is -- is yours, Nick. I swear it.

Nick: Well, I don't care. I mean, I care, but, I mean, even if Gabe was the father, I'd still want you in my life.

Sage: I don't understand. When you didn't show up earlier, I thought that you didn't want --

Nick: I should have been there, and I will be in the future, if you let me.

[Knock on door]

Adam: You're right. Okay? You're right. For all this talk about me being a new man, I haven't shown you that. I haven't acted like one, and I owe you an apology. I am sorry. Okay?

Chelsea: It's Nick and Sage that deserve the apology. Adam, stop.

Adam: Just hold up. Wait a minute, all right? Let me just -- I also wanted to say thank you... for keeping my secret. I know that's kind of a big deal. I know you're making a lot of sacrifices. I know what's at risk, and I want to say thank you for that.

Chelsea: I did that for Connor, not for you.

Adam: Can I see him? I would like to see my son, you know, tell him that I'm not leaving town after all.

Chelsea: No.

Adam: What do you mean no? Chelsea, let me see my son.

Chelsea: He's better off without you. We both are.

Adam: What are you talking about? Chelsea. Chelsea. Hey! Chelsea!

[Pounding on door]

Adam: Chelsea, don't do -- don't shut me out! Open the door!

[Pounding continues]

Adam: Chelsea!

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Victor: No more secrets. No more lies.

Victoria: Truth, Dad. What happened between you and Jack in the park?

Christine: What happened now?

Paul: I go to arrest Gabriel Bingham. He's gone. He's left town.

Adam: Go hold your children! Tell Victoria that you love her! Stop trying to make me suffer. I'm suffering plenty.
