Episode # 10709 ~ Adam comes clean with Chelsea; Dylan embraces his future with Sharon; Joe's night of passion with Lily comes back to haunt him.

Provided By Suzanne

Adam: How you feeling right now? I'm curious. You know, the one son that was never good enough in your eyes, never once... wanted nothing more than your approval... sitting behind your desk, running this company -- how does that feel? I won. So I say hell with it. Let's toast to me, to Adam Newman.

Chelsea: Why -- why did you say that?

Adam: Uh... uh, say -- say what?

Chelsea: That you were him... Adam.

Adam: Chelsea, I-I didn't say that.

Chelsea: Yes, you did. I heard you.

Adam: No. I think I said, uh... I think what I said was I was like Adam.

Chelsea: No. You said, "a toast to me... Adam Newman."

Victor: So, you want to know if I'm willing to confess? I've already told you the truth.

Christine: That you shot jack in self-defense? There isn't one shred of evidence to corroborate that. In fact, it's just the opposite.

Victor: I'm not gonna change my story.

Christine: Not even if we offer you a plea-bargain? I can get Michael in here right now. He'll explain the terms.

Victor: If I were you, I'd keep him out of this, okay?

Christine: So, you're waiving your right to have your attorney present?

Victor: There's nothing for me to talk about.

Christine: Victor, I would have you confess to a lesser charge. You'll still end up going to prison but for less time than you would if you were convicted of attempted murder... or murder if jack dies.

Phyllis: I don't understand. This is a 2, right? The number 2?

Abbott's wife gave him a pen.

For what? I thought the guy's in a coma.

Well, apparently, he's coherent enough to write something down, but I haven't been able to get a close look.

Phyllis: This is an answer to my question? Who Victor was gonna meet in the park that night, the person he intended to shoot -- 2? Yes. I don't understand. Two what? Two people? There were two of them? Yes. Victor was meeting two people? No. [Sighs] Honey, I don't understand what you're trying to tell me.

Jack: [Thinking] There are two of us -- me and Marco, the man who stole my life. You need to find him, stop him.

[Alarm beeping]

Phyllis: Oh. I need some help in here, please! Somebody!

I've got to go. He's in distress.

Phyllis: Oh, my god! What's going on? What's wrong?

I need an E.T. Suction, stat. Follow it with a 4-liter o2 mist.

Dylan: So, you caught the guy?

Paul: Well, yeah. He's in custody right now, but there's still a lot of police work to do, but it looks like everything's lining up. I mean, the guy's the same height. He's got the same M.O. He was wearing the same ski mask he was wearing when he attacked Avery in the alley, not to mention the fact that he was in possession of her cell phone and her purse. So, yeah, I think we got him. Schultz, come here. I need you to go downstairs, talk to management, tell them that we have everything under control. And, also, I want you to call and get a tech team up here, and I want them to collect all the evidence in this room. Understood?

Officer Schultz: Yes, sir.

Paul: Thank you.

Dylan: Evidence?

Paul: Yeah, Dylan. There was a crime committed here tonight, and I'm going to need statements from each and every one of you.

Dylan: Wait a minute. You're not gonna arrest Avery, are you?

Paul: Absolutely.

Adam: You got me. [Chuckles] I'm Adam Newman. You got me. I had some plastic surgery, and I'm an identity thief, apparently. I, um... also, you know, Elvis is alive, unicorns do exist, and I -- come on, Chelsea. I-I was -- I don't know. I was -- I was messing around. I was having a little fun. I-I had too much to drink, maybe -- some cham-- I was trying to rile up the old lurch here, that's all. This guy -- did you ever notice his eyes sort of follow you around the room no matter where you go> It's creepy.

Chelsea: That's the other thing. How do you know that nickname -- "lurch"?

Adam: How do I know that? Everybody knows -- everybody knows that.

Chelsea: No. Billy and jack -- they don't use that word around most people.

Adam: Yeah, I -- look, I don't -- I don't -- I don't know. I don't remember where I heard it. These things get out. You know, people talk, and I --

Chelsea: Gabe.

Adam: Someone said it.

Chelsea: Gabe. You're hiding something. And don't you dare try to deny it, because I know what I see. So, if you really love me and I am as important to you as you say I am, you will start being honest right now, or I swear I will walk out that door and I will never trust you again and I will never, ever speak to you again and I will be out of your life forever, so start talking. And I want the truth this time.

Adam: Okay. Okay. I told you the truth. It's me. Adam.

Chelsea: [Crying]

Adam: I know this sounds crazy to you, right? These things don't happen. I'm telling you the truth, Chelsea. It's the truth.

Chelsea: They -- they -- they identified the body, and dental records matched Adam's. The coroner's report said --

Adam: The coroner in green county, right? Chelsea, those records were falsified.

Chelsea: No. No. Why -- why would they --

Adam: You know about the car, right, that Billy and I were in? You know about the crash, the explosion, right? I should have died. They found me. I was in a -- in a river. Some guy, uh... rescued me. He pulled me out of there. It was Gabriel Bingham. He lost his life saving mine. That's the body they ID'd.

Chelsea: That's -- that's not possible.

Adam: That's what I thought, too. That's what I thought when I woke up in the Bingham household. I was in bad shape. I had... burns all over my body, Chelsea -- third-degree burns. They weren't sure I was gonna make it.

Chelsea: Who's -- who's -- who's "they"?

Adam: The doctors and, um... and Sage. She's the one who paid the coroner to falsify the documents.

Chelsea: This doesn't make any sense.

Adam: It does if you want an old woman who worships her grandson to believe that he's still alive. She knew that Constance wouldn't make it if she found out the truth, so she -- she gave me Gabriel's face. She gave me Gabriel Bingham's name. And I went from Adam Newman, dead man walking, to Gabriel Bingham with a new life.

Chelsea: No. See, Adam wouldn't do that. Adam would have come back to me. He wouldn't do that to me, and he wouldn't do that to his son! Adam would have come back to me!

Adam: I did come back. That's why I came back. I'm standing right here.

Chelsea: I don't believe you. Why are you doing this?

Adam: Why would I make this up?

Chelsea: I don't know! Are you -- are you trying to mess with me or something?

Adam: You do know. You've known from the beginning. You do know.

Chelsea: No!

Adam: Yes, you do! When you saw me in the club -- right? -- When you made eye contact with me, you knew it was me. The first time we slept together, you knew. I'm the same man that proposed to you in the rain, Chelsea. I'm the same man that helped you get your GED with all those silly flash cards.

Chelsea: How do you know that?

Adam: I'm your husband. That's how I know. "The outsiders" -- we used to watch "the outsiders" all the time. Remember that? The Norman Rockwell book that I got you --

Chelsea: How do you know that?!

Adam: Because I'm your husband! And we can be that family, that Norman Rockwell family. I just need you to look at me and believe me!

Chelsea: [Crying]

Adam: It's me, baby! Look at me!

Chelsea: Adam?

Adam: It's me. It's me.

Chelsea: [Crying continues]

Keep a close eye on him. I'll call down to respiratory and fill them in.

Phyllis: How is he? Is he okay?

Your husband had a slight esophageal blockage. He's stable now but still comatose.

Phyllis: He held my hand when I squeezed it. He answered my questions.

As I explained, patients can exhibit involuntary movement. It may seem like they're communicating.

Phyllis: [Crying] No. No. It was more than that. I know what he was doing. He was communicating with me.

That may be, but, unfortunately, he's completely unresponsive now.

Phyllis: Well... okay. The important thing is... he is still here with us. And as long as he is... I'm not gonna give up hope... that he's gonna come back. He's gonna come back and tell us who put him in this condition in the first place.

Victor: Christine, you have no proof that I planned to kill jack Abbott, no proof that I laid in wait. In fact, you don't even have a motive.

Christine: I have an eyewitness who claims you shot an unarmed man.

Victor: An eyewitness who would profit financially, professionally, if I were gone. If you put Gabriel Bingham on the stand, Michael Baldwin will shred him to pieces. You know why you're here to offer me a bargain, a deal? Because your case has no legs. So, I respectfully decline.

Dylan: You're arresting Avery? That doesn't make any sense.

Paul: A bullet was fired.

Dylan: Yeah, I understand, but it was a warning shot. Nobody was hurt.

Paul: Dylan, regardless of the intent, there is a bullet in the ceiling. And, listen, if you're going to intentionally discharge a firearm in a hotel, you're going to be held accountable.

Dylan: But there are extenuating circumstances. Avery is under duress.

Avery: Dylan, I can -- I can speak for myself.

Dylan: Okay. Then, please, speak to Paul before he hauls you off for something you couldn't help.

Avery: I couldn't help but pull the trigger.

Dylan: Yeah, I understa-- I get it. Okay? But I've been on edge and I've been completely stressed and have this guy push your buttons.

Joe: Oh, yeah, that's it, McAvoy. Use me to justify your childish behavior.

Dylan: See what I mean?

Avery: Dylan, Paul has to arrest me. He has to do this completely by the book. The last time he looked the other way, he got sued.

Paul: I run this department completely by the book -- so much so, even when someone is filing a nuisance lawsuit against me, I understand they deserve the full protection of the law.

Dylan: Wait -- wait a minute. So...if Joe is the victim... can he just drop the charges?

Paul: Well, Dylan, there are other things to consider. I mean, the hotel is also a victim. They need to be compensated for the damage. But I assume that, uh, they would agree to drop the charges if Joe does.

Dylan: What do you say, Joe? You gonna drop the charges against Avery?

Phyllis: Really? What are you trying to do -- give me a heart attack? I know you love all the attention from the hospital staff, but that was overdoing it a bit, don't you think? [Sighs] Jack, can you hear me? Can you squeeze my hand? No. Okay. You'll do it again. You need to rest. You need to rest, all right? While you're getting your strength back... I'll try to figure out what you were... trying to tell me with this.

Dylan: Joe, if you press charges against Avery, you could damage her career permanently. Come on. You know what kind of person she is, the work she devoted herself to. She helped so many people. And it would be a shame if it all came to an end because of this.

Joe: If I press charges? Dylan, Paul just said he caught the rapist, and you're concerned about her career? You physically tied me to a chair, okay? You falsely accused me of rape, and it's clear that I wasn't the guy in the alley! News flash -- I didn't rape Avery! So, how 'bout an "I'm sorry, Joe"?

Dylan: Are you really making this about you?

Joe: Five minutes ago, she had a gun pointed at my face! I'm the victim here!

Avery: You're the victim?! I was raped, you jackass!

[Door opens]

Michael: All right. I'd like to have a word with my client -- alone, please.

Adam: [Sighs] My god. It was exhausting, not being able to tell you.

Chelsea: Why didn't you?

Adam: There was a price on my head, Chelsea.

Chelsea: What? What, you thought I would -- I would -- I would turn you in to the police?

Adam: Well, I didn't know what to expect, you know? I knew how you felt about Delia's accident and... my involvement in it, the fact that I... kept my involvement in it a secret. I didn't -- I didn't know what to expect. I... Chelsea, I wasn't sure you'd want me back.

Chelsea: You weren't sure? You saw how devastated I was when I thought you were gone! You saw how much I cried for you, how much I miss you! I thought I was never gonna have another happy day in my entire life! I thought there was gonna be no more good days for me, and you let me talk to you?! You let me look you in the eyes and tell you, and you made me think that you were gone?! You let me think that whole time you were dead?! [Crying]

Adam: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, okay? It was a -- it was a lie. It was a story to -- to protect you. Chelsea, look at me. I was trying to protect you, okay? It was one lie, and then it was another one and then it was another one, and then it snowballed and I got into this situation I couldn't get out of. I didn't know what to do. It's over now, okay? It's over. You know the whole truth. I told you everything. And the most important thing -- the only thing that matters -- is that we're together, right? That's all that matters.

Chelsea: No. No! You and I? We don't ha-- everything that we are based on -- it's -- it's a lie! It's all been a lie!

Adam: A lie? What are you talking about? My love for you is not a lie. That is real.

Chelsea: My love for you ended the day Delia died.

Adam: Don't say that to me.

Chelsea: I mean, you -- you hid all the evidence. You -- you hid your guilt. You're still hiding.

Adam: I'm not hiding from anything. I'm standing right in front of you. I just told you who I was. I risked everything to come back to you, Chelsea!

Chelsea: What did you risk? What did you risk if I hadn't walked in on you earlier? You would have let me think that you were Gabriel Bingham for the rest of my life.

Adam: Maybe, and that would have been so bad? What?

Chelsea: How can you even ask me that? [Breathing heavily]

Adam: Chelsea, I wanted to start over. I wanted a new beginning. I wanted to go back to the way things were before the accident, before that horrible accident, and I...

Chelsea: [Breathing heavily]

Adam: It doesn't matter what you say right now, okay? Because I know that you love me. I know that you love me, and that's what matters. And it doesn't matter what my face looks like. It doesn't matter what my name is. I found my way back to you because you and I are forever. Do you understand that? We were meant to be together. We are forever.

Chelsea: There's no such thing as forever.

Adam: You don't believe that, do you?

Paul: You handled Avery very well. It's not easy to get someone to drop a weapon, especially when you don't have one.

Dylan: She didn't want to hurt anybody.

Paul: Oh, she wanted to hurt him.

Dylan: But she didn't. I don't know. I guess she trusts me.

Paul: Still, very good work. It's not easy to remain calm in a situation like this.

Dylan: Well, unfortunately, I've been in a lot of bad situations.

Paul: Well, maybe you ought to train my guys how to act.

Dylan: [Chuckles] Yeah. Me working for the GCPD.? Nothing could go wrong with that.

Paul: [Chuckles]

Michael: This is what we're gonna do -- we're gonna take this baby step by baby step. First, we have to get you out of here without any legal issues pending.

Avery: I think if I just apologize to Joe, he'll drop the charges.

Michael: Good. That can be done.

Avery: I really don't want to.

Michael: Doesn't matter. It's a simple thing. You can even keep your fingers crossed behind your back if you like. But you will apologize to that greasy lummox, and we will walk out of here free and clear. Baby steps. Okay? Let's go. Joe... my client would like to say something to you.

Avery: Joe, I'm very sorry. I'm sorry that I ever met you. I'm sorry you came to Genoa city. And right now I'm sorry I shot that bullet in the ceiling and not into your face!

Chelsea: So what if I still love you. It solves nothing.

Adam: It does if you want it to. It solves everything if you want it to. You told me that you want nothing more than to have your husband back, right? That's what you said to me. Chelsea, it's me. You got your wish, okay? And I know this isn't perfect, but this is our second chance. You understand that?

Chelsea: Our second chance?

Adam: That's right?

Chelsea: As being Mr. And Mrs. Gabriel Bingham?

Adam: Yes, because that's the way it has to be.

Chelsea: And what -- you adopt Connor? You fill him in on all of the rich family history of the Binghams and how lucky he is to be a part of that family? And what do I do? I sit around and I -- and I smile and I say nothing?

Adam: That's right, yes. That's exactly what you do, because you have to.

Chelsea: You're talking about conning your son!

Adam: I'm talking about right now. I'm talking about protecting my son. We tell him later, when he's an adult, when he can understand this mess.

Chelsea: I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't handle this. I can't do it. I can't.

Adam: You can't handle this? You can't do this? You can't handle it? What's the alternative, Chelsea? What, you want me rot away in some prison cell somewhere?! Think of Connor! He's gonna lose his father again! Is that what you want?!

Dylan: Avery... [Sighs] I have to head out. You all right?

Avery: Yeah. Michael is on babysitting duty now. He'll -- he'll bring me to the station for booking. Go home... to Sharon.

Dylan: You know, she sent Paul and Michael over here. She was worried.

Avery: Tell her thanks.

Dylan: Okay. Okay. Avery... [Sighs] Um... you never gave up on me... even at my lowest, and, uh... you always talked me down from whatever trouble I got myself into.

Avery: Well...

Dylan: So, um... you always encouraged me to get help and talk to somebody.

Avery: Took you long enough to believe me.

Dylan: [Chuckles softly] I know, but I eventually did. And I'm grateful you pushed me. Please, you got to get help.

Avery: I know.

[Door opens]

Dylan: I'm sorry. We're closed.

Sharon: I know.

Dylan: Ohh.

Sharon: Mm. I thought you might stop by here on your way home.

Dylan: I just had to gather some thoughts.

Sharon: Hmm. And do those thoughts involve Avery?

Dylan: [Sighs] Yes.

Sharon: Well, that's good. I mean, she needs all the positive thoughts she can get.

Dylan: You're right. She does. She's, uh -- she's in trouble, not only with the law, but she's just in a lot of pain. And I told her that she needs help. Somebody needs to help her. And it won't be me.

Michael: Let's get you home. You need to rest up, because tomorrow morning, you are turning yourself in.

Avery: Michael...

Michael: What?

Avery: I don't think I can do this.

Michael: Turn yourself in? What, do you want to go on the run?

Avery: No, I don't -- I don't think I can practice law.

Michael: What are you talking about? This is nothing. Look, they're not gonna kick you out of the bar for these charges. I plead guilty to misdemeanor solicitation this year.

Avery: That's not what I'm talking about. I know that I'll be allowed to practice. You know me. You know me. I have to believe in the cause.

Michael: What, you don't believe in this cause? This cause right now is you.

Avery: I dedicated my whole life to the law. And then I took the law in my own hands. I didn't trust the system, and the system is there for a reason. It's to prevent people from picking up guns and behaving the way I did. I wanted to kill him, Michael.

Michael: You...Avery... are a good lawyer.

Avery: [Crying] I was a good lawyer. And now... look, I know we're business partners. I'm not gonna leave you in a lurch, but it's --

Michael: That's not even a -- look, if you need some time off, that's no problem. I will take care of your caseload, including the innocence foundation.

Avery: Oh, god. The innocence foundation. I have a press conference this week. What am I gonna do?

Michael: I know exactly what you're gonna do. You're gonna take a couple of days off, you're gonna get your head clear, and then you're gonna come back refreshed, ready to believe in yourself and your cause.

Avery: It's gonna take more than a couple of days, Michael.

Phyllis: Does that mean anything to you?

Victor: The number 2. Huh. Oh, wait a minute. Two humps on a Bactrian camel. Does that help you?

Phyllis: Jack wrote that when I asked him about the shooting.

Victor: Oh! So, he's out of the coma. Well, that's nice. That's wonderful news.

Phyllis: In case your spies haven't already told you, jack is unresponsive again.

Victor: Oh. That's not wonderful news.

Phyllis: You know, I find it every interesting of all the things that jack could have chosen to write about, this is what he wanted me to see. Why do you suppose that is?

Victor: Listen, he has done a lot of things ever since I've known him that I don't understand. I mean, why the hell would he lure me into a park, you know, and... make me confront him with a gun?

Phyllis: The man I love would never give you a reason to shoot him.

Victor: Well, the man you love doesn't exist anymore. I mean, he is very erratic these days. I mean, you should have seen signs of that.

Phyllis: Jack's been through an awful lot lately.

Victor: Oh, yeah. He accused me of embezzlement, he lured me into a park, you know, with the idea of killing me. If I had not protected myself, I wouldn't be sitting here with you.

Phyllis: You know, when you talk like that, I almost believe you.

Victor: You had better believe me. When I get out of here, I'll make sure that jack Abbott will not hurt you.

Phyllis: You know what I want? I want the truth about what happened that night, and I'm going to get that out of you. Are you absolutely certain there's nothing else you want to say to me?

Victor: I really wish I could help you, but I'm baffled by th

Phyllis: It doesn't add up. You know more than you're letting on -- you and Gabriel.

Victor: I'm as much in the dark about this as you are.

Phyllis: No. Victor's never in the dark, and I'm gonna prove it -- that is, until -- I don't know -- maybe jack beats me to it, because, you see, he is gonna wake up, and when he does, he's gonna tell all of us what you have been so desperate to hide.

Victor: Oh, boy.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Victor: You have a nice day.

[Door slams]

Dylan: I don't feel like I've lost Avery. I just feel like I've said goodbye to that part of my life.

Sharon: Well, your feelings for Avery will always be with you. They just change over time. They become something else. They soften, sort of like a photograph. The memory is still there, but it just seems distant -- like, nostalgic.

Dylan: Hey, hey. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you doing?

Sharon: I'm helping.

Dylan: No. You're not supposed to be lifting anything.

Sharon: What, are we back in 1957? You want me to be on bedrest for the next seven months? That's -- that's nostalgic.

Dylan: I'm just being extra cautious.

Sharon: Extra cautious?

Dylan: I have reason to be.

Sharon: Well, lifting a chair is not gonna hurt this baby.

Dylan: You're right. Nothing is gonna hurt this baby.

Chelsea: Don't you see? Either way, Connor's already lost you.

Adam: No. No. That's not true -- not if I'm in his life. If I'm physically in his life, I can help raise him. I can teach him every single thing that I know, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Why don't you try being a role model for him,

Adam? Show him he shouldn't be a coward and confess to his crime.

Adam: Delia's death was an accident, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Covering it up wasn't. All night tonight, you were with Billy. You looked him in the eyes. How can you even do that? And then jack -- I mean, jack is the only friend you have, and... oh, my god. Oh, my god. Jack thinks that you're his son.

Adam: That was jack's idea.

Chelsea: What are you talking about?

Adam: Victor was getting too close, and jack -- he came up with that to -- he came up with that to get him off our trail.

Chelsea: Jack knows about this, about you?

Adam: Yeah, he does, Chelsea. I told him as soon as I got back to town.

Chelsea: You told jack, and you didn't tell me?

Adam: I couldn't tell you. The whole point was to protect you from the truth. I couldn't tell you. I went to the one person I could trust who I knew wouldn't out me. That was jack. That's all.

Chelsea: Why would jack do this for you after what you did to his niece? Why would he do this for you?

Adam: He's not doing it for me, Chelsea. He's doing it for Billy. He knows that if I go to prison, so does Billy.

Chelsea: That's ridiculous! Billy didn't do anything regarding Delia's death. That wasn't his fault.

Adam: It's not about that. It's about what happened afterwards. This didn't come from some drunk vindictive girlfriend of Gabriel Bingham's. This is a bullet wound. It came from Billy. He shot me.

Chelsea: Billy did that to you?

Adam: Yeah, he did. I was on my way to the police station to confess. I left the confession for you, Chelsea. You saw it?

Chelsea: What about, uh -- what about Gabriel Bingham? Is he gonna confess?

Adam: Yeah. You know, the funny thing about life is that things happen, okay? It's a different set of circumstances. A lot has happened.

Chelsea: Yeah. So much has happened. I mean, now you're C.E.O. Of Newman-Abbott. I mean, you can't -- you can't jeopardize that, right?!

Adam: I finally figured out a way to one-up my father. Can you blame me for wanting to hold on that?

Chelsea: How'd you pull that one off, Adam? Was that another -- another deal? What, you saw Victor shoot jack, right, so you -- let me guess. You told him that you would shut up about it if he put you in charge here. Wow. You haven't changed a bit. It's amazing. I hope you can sleep well at night.

Adam: Don't throw this away, all right? We can work this out. We'll figure it out. We always do, right?

Chelsea: At whose expense -- Billy's or jack's or mine?

Adam: Not yours. Never yours. What are you talking about? Not yours!

Chelsea: How can you say that when you want me to keep this secret? How can you say that? Do you know what keeping this secret for you would do to me? Do you have any idea what kind of an effect that would have on Connor? I-I don't even understand. How could you do this to us, Adam?

Joe: [Sighs] Chief Williams? Joe Clark. I've decided not to press charges against Avery. I call it my good deed for the year.

Cane: That's what you get for sleeping with my wife, you son of a bitch.

Avery: Maybe I don't just need time. Maybe I need to leave town.

Michael: Oh, you're not going anywhere.

Avery: Not forever -- just for a little while.

Michael: Ha! No. I refuse to let you go.

Avery: I don't think you can do that.

Michael: You'd be surprised. [Sighs] Avery... you'll get through this. I'm not saying it's gonna be easy. But you got a lot of support here -- people who really care about you. There's nick, Sharon, Dylan, me, Phyllis. We're there for you. [Sighs] All right. Come on. Let's get you home, all right?

Avery: [Crying]

Dylan: [Sighs]

Sharon: I like the way you're very protective of this baby. It's sexy.

Dylan: Well, tonight you were just as protective. You sent Paul to Joe's room.

Sharon: I wasn't sure if you'd be upset about that.

Dylan: Well, you knew that I could be in some serious trouble, and you protected me and our family. And you're right. That is sexy.

Adam: You know I never wanted to hurt you, and I never would have put you in this position if I thought there was another way out.

Chelsea: There is another way, Adam. You just don't want to face it.

Adam: You're talking about turning myself in, aren't you?

Chelsea: Well, will you at least consider it?

Adam: No. No way. I just got you back. I got my wife back. I got my son back. You are all that I care about. I'm not -- I'm not losing you again.

Chelsea: [Crying]

Adam: I won't do it.

Chelsea: I -- [Sighs] I-I can't do this. I just --

Adam: Come here. Come here. Come here.

Chelsea: No. Please stop. Please stop.

Adam: Look at me. I need you to help me, okay? I'm fighting for my life here. Look at me. Baby, I need you to help me, okay?

Chelsea: I know what's at stake for you here, Adam. I do. And I can't believe you're alive. But -- but I just don't know if I can live with what you've done.

Adam: Where are you going? Don't go. Chelsea!

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Phyllis: I think I know who that bullet was meant for.

Victor: Do not ever forget our plan.

Victoria: Getting rid of Gabriel.

Victor: That's right.

Sage: What's wrong?

Chelsea: I know the truth.
