Episode # 10690 ~ Ashley takes lead in the scheme to reclaim Jabot; Chelsea is at her wit's end with Adam.
Provided By Suzanne
Phyllis: That wrong number -- that was a lie, wasn't it?
Marco: Yes, that was a lie.
Phyllis: Okay. So, who's "M"?
Marco: A woman that I loved.
Phyllis: A woman you loved I've never even heard about?
Marco: It was a lifetime ago.
Phyllis: Before me?
Marco: Long before you.
Phyllis: It was serious, wasn't it?
Marco: I wanted to marry her.
Jack: It's open.
Marisa: [Sighs] Thank god we found this place.
Jack: Why is it deserted? It's not closed.
Marisa: I don't know. Hurricane season, maybe.
Jack: Oh, great. We got that to look forward to. [Groans] [Sighs]
Marisa: It's on dry land. Be grateful for that.
Jack: [Sighs] I thought we'd be at the bottom of the deep blue sea by now.
Marisa: Hello? Damn.
Jack: What? What?
Marisa: I found a phone, but it's not working. There's no way to call for help. [Sighs] Wake up, Marco. Jack! You better be sleeping, you hear me? Jack? Jack, don't you die on me. Don't you dare!
Victoria: I know that look. You've got the goods on Jack, haven't you?
Victor: You're very perceptive.
Victoria: Thank you. I try. So, what's in the file?
Victor: Well, just proof that Jack Abbott is trying to betray me.
Victoria: The question is how.
Victor: It's getting personal.
Victoria: Yes, dad. It always is between you two. May I?
Victor: Mnh-mnh.
Abby: Running late for what? You just had brain surgery.
Ashley: I know, but I don't have to be flat on my back in bed. I'm following the doctor's post-op instructions. I --
Abby: And that's a relief, but still...
Ashley: Honestly, honey, I love you so much and I'm so grateful that I'm gonna be sticking around for a while, but I can't chat right now, okay? I've got to get to a meeting.
Abby: Whoa, whoa, whoa. A business meeting at this hour? Are -- are you sure you're not overextending yourself? What is so urgent that it can't wait?
Billy: Well, ash should be here any minute, so --
Adam: You know, I got to hand it to you. It's impressive. Getting her on board -- I didn't think it was possible.
Billy: She wants Jabot back in Abbott hands.
Adam: Even if it means getting her own hands dirty?
Billy: I guess. They'll be plenty of dirt to go around.
Adam: And spoils, right? And sticking it to Victor's an added bonus.
Chelsea: Who happens to be the father of Ashley's daughter. I mean, I can see why she would have some doubts.
Billy: Well, what about you? Do you still have any?
Chelsea: I mean, this plan of Jack's to set up Victor so we get the company back -- can you really guarantee this won't be traced back to us?
Billy: No guarantees in life, sweetheart.
Chelsea: Thanks for the obvious, Billy. I mean, we have children to think about. If this scheme blows up in our face, we could go to jail. I mean, somebody else would be raising our children.
Adam: Listen, Chelsea, if you're uncomfortable doing your part, I could take over. I'd leave you out of the whole thing, okay?
Billy: Wow. How gallant.
Adam: You should try it sometime, bill.
Chelsea: It's just so risky. Why are you so committed to this, Gabe?
Billy: You know, I was wondering the same thing. I mean, I know that you took the job at Jabot to get Chelsea into bed. Mission accomplished. But, um, why risk everything for Jack? What's in it for you?
Adam: You know, you're really something. It's unbelievable. You can't resist the cheap shot, can you? And it's not enough that you got a thing for your ex-wife still and vice versa. Your ego is such that you have to continue to pummel Chelsea even after you embarrass her at her own wedding. That's -- that's great.
Chelsea: You guys, stop. Stop. We're not doing this again, okay?
Billy: Actually, Gabe, I already apologized to Chelsea for putting her through that, which is one more apology than I can say I got from you for seducing my fiancée. But nice try almost changing the subject.
Chelsea: Okay. I-I'm sorry I asked the question. Let's just move on.
Billy: Why? Why? It's a good one. I mean, Gabe's not an Abbott. Why -- why would you risk everything for Jack? You've got nothing to lose here. You could just walk away.
Adam: Well, the same thing could be said for Chelsea, couldn't it? But she's willing to help him because he asked and he's helped her in the past. The same goes for me, all right? Besides, bringing Victor down would be like winning the lottery on Christmas day.
Billy: What did the guy ever do to you?
Adam: Besides sending my father to an early grave?
Billy: Not according to Victor.
Adam: Well, how the hell would he know? He wasn't there. He took what he wanted and he left the wreckage behind. He has no idea what his greed caused. And if it's the last thing I do, I'm gonna make sure he pays.
Billy: Yeah, yeah, you know, you've been singing this song since day one, so how about you tell us the rest of the story now?
Ashley: I really do have to be going.
Abby: Whoa. Why don't you just go home and rest, and I will take this business meeting off of your hands.
Ashley: Who said anything about this being a business meeting?
Abby: Well, work was pretty much a ghost town today. Everyone left early and at the same time. If I didn't know any better, I would think everyone was hiding something from me.
Ashley: Oh, honey, you're just imagining things.
Abby: Really? Because I asked Billy, Chelsea, and Gabe what the story was, and the silence was deafening. You know, people have a lot of different reactions to me. Some adore me, some despise me, but they never ignore me. It's suspicious.
Ashley: I think it's your imagination. I have to go, honey, okay? Have a good night.
Abby: [Sighs]
Victoria: Well, is this your idea of us being a team? You're just gonna put the file away and not let me see it? Obviously, you don't trust me at all.
Victor: Sweetheart, of course I trust you, okay? I just want to protect you from certain unpleasant realities.
Victoria: What are you talking about? Is this about mom?
Victor: No.
Victoria: Did she have another setback? Is that what this is?
Victor: No, the clinic called me and told me that she was doing well in her rehab, all right?
Victoria: Well, surely you must have spoken with her.
Victor: Yes. She's coming home soon. I'm very happy about that. You and I talked about your approaching Billy boy and trying to find out what the Abbotts are plotting against me. Don't do that anymore, all right? I-I don't need you to do that.
Victoria: Why? Why do you want me to stop digging? I don't understand. Unless you already know what Jack's up to.
Victor: Just don't do it. I'll take it from here, all right?
Victoria: [Sighs] Fine, dad.
Victor: Sweetheart. I want you to send me the info about a certain tragic accident at sea.
[Door opens]
Jack: Phyllis!
Marisa: Sorry. No Phyllis. You'll have to settle for me. But at least you're awake.
Jack: [Breathing heavily] Wait. Di-did you --
Marisa: I had to. Sleeping in those dirty, wet clothes could have made you sick. To make it fair, you can watch me change later.
Jack: That won't be necessary.
Marisa: Good. I found a closet of clothes in the office. I brought some things that should fit you. Water.
Jack: Oh, water.
Marisa: And a first-aid kit. How does your leg feel?
Jack: [Groans] It doesn't tickle.
Marisa: Bad burn. But you're lucky. That was a big explosion. When I think of the poor captain...
Jack: Poor captain who would have had us both dead?
Marisa: True, but I'm no saint myself. Are you?
Jack: Everything you've done for me -- saving me on the boat, saving me in the ocean. I --
Marisa: Shh. Lie back.
Jack: Why? I'm not who you thought I was. I'm not Marco.
Marisa: No. You're not.
Jack: Tell me about him. I know this may sound strange, but in a way, I feel I owe him my life, too.
Phyllis: Jack, you cannot drop a bombshell on me like that and just expect me to let it go.
Marco: It's ancient history. There's no reason to bring it all up.
Phyllis: Humor me. When, where did you meet this woman?
Marco: It was during my bachelor days, which you may remember were legendary.
Phyllis: Oh. Let me guess. She was young. She was beautiful. Was she a model? Yeah, okay. I hate her already, but please go ahead, go ahead.
Marco: No, you two would have liked each other -- both strong-willed, opinionated, determined.
Phyllis: How did you meet?
Marco: A trip to south America.
Phyllis: I assume that's where you learned Spanish.
Marco: I was doing work for my father. I needed an interpreter.
Phyllis: What's her name?
Marco: Manuela. We worked very closely, and one thing led to another. And I knew it couldn't last, but...I loved her very deeply.
Phyllis: Liar.
Marco: I told you what happened. I left out the graphic details to spare you, but that's the truth.
Phyllis: I called you a liar because you said you loved her, past tense. It's very obvious to me that a part of you still does or you wouldn't be mourning her like this.
Marco: She was just so full of life. It's hard to believe that...
Phyllis: I'm glad you told me. It actually makes me feel close to you. If this is too painful, I'm not gonna ask you to dredge up more memories, okay?
Jack: She grew up poor, Manuela. Never let that stop her. She was so full of spirit. You could see it in her eyes. You could see it in the way she walked. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. Belligerent, yes, sometimes. Stubborn, yes, but in a good way. She -- she laughed when other people cried. She cried when other people laughed. Oh, what does it matter now?
Phyllis: It matters to you, so...it matters to me. You said that you almost married her. Why didn't you?
Marco: Oh, it wouldn't have worked for any number of reasons. It was a different time.
Phyllis: You were afraid what people would think?
Marco: No. No, I wanted to spend the rest of my li-- she was a free spirit. One day, she packed her bags and just took off, never leaving a trace behind.
Phyllis: Until now. This is an incredible story. But it needs an end.
Marco: I've told you all I know.
Phyllis: Yeah, not quite. Who texted you about Manuela's death? And who died with her in that explosion?
Marisa: Marco -- he was trouble.
Jack: A real bad boy, huh?
Marisa: The worst.
Jack: What is it about nice girls and bad boys?
Marisa: Who said I was nice?
Jack: [Chuckles]
Marisa: We did what we had to do to survive. Still, Marco held on to a piece of his soul, just enough to save me from those horrible streets.
Jack: And you loved him for it.
Marisa: [Sighs] I've known my share of men, some good, some terrible, but Marco -- he was the only man I ever loved.
Jack: So, what happened? Why didn't you have your happy ending?
Marisa: He didn't have enough faith in the world, in us. There came a time when he had to choose. I thought he chose me.
Jack: And he didn't.
Marisa: No. I was ready to run away with him, leave all the ugliness and violence behind us, but... he couldn't do it. He left me with a bag of money and took off.
Jack: I'm sorry.
Marisa: What does it matter now? He's probably dead. [Sniffles] You can't expect to live the way Marco Annicelli did, make the kind of enemies he made, and live to a ripe old age.
Jack: There's one more thing we have in common besides our looks. Back home, everyone thinks I'm dead. We don't get off this island, they might be right.
Abby: What is going on around here?
Victoria: That's what I'd like to know. I have just come from the most frustrating meeting. I haven't been able to get any of my questions answered at all.
Abby: Well, I can relate to that, sister. No one is telling me anything, not even my own mother. It's like they're throwing me a surprise party and didn't tell me where to show up.
Victoria: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Who's "they"?
Abby: They. Everyone. I'm -- I'm being paranoid.
Victoria: Abby, wait. Hold on a second. Come on. I want to know what's bothering you. I mean, we are family, after all, right?
Abby: In all ways, except for when it comes to business.
Victoria: Come on, come on. Who's ducking your questions? Your mom. Who else?
Abby: Do you know something I don't?
Victoria: I am ready to share all information with you, but only because you're a Newman at heart.
Abby: Yeah, let's go with that.
Victoria: [Sighs] The reason that Ashley is shutting you down just confirms my suspicions that it's the same brick wall that I've been hitting with Billy and Kyle. It's so obvious what's going on. The Abbotts are planning some move against our father.
Abby: I thought that dad and uncle Jack were best buds now.
Victoria: Jack has been pretending this whole time. He's planning something. Dad told me to work on Billy to try to figure out what that is, but tonight, he told me to forget about it.
Abby: What? Why?
Victoria: I don't know. I have no clue! But it's a missed opportunity.
Abby: It would be.
Victoria: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Abby: Our father doesn't always know best, does he?
Chelsea: Don't question Gabe's motives. The man lost his father because of Victor.
Billy: Yeah, I know. It's a touching story, and he trots it out whenever he needs it, like a card trick.
Adam: Victor Newman stole Harrison Bingham's company out from under him. It cost him his life. He is responsible for his death.
Billy: I don't know, Bingham. It just rings a little false for me.
Chelsea: My god, Billy, stop. What -- what is it you're trying to say?
Billy: Just saying that he was barely out of college when this all went down, and, uh, you'd think maybe he would have gotten over it by now.
Adam: Yeah, the way you got over your daughter's death?
Billy: Wow. Those two are not even remotely the same thing. Harrison Bingham died.
Adam: Committed suicide.
Billy: And Delia was murdered.
Adam: Adam said it was an accident.
Billy: Murdered.
Chelsea: Gabe, drop it. It's not a contest.
Adam: You're right. It's not a contest. You want to know the truth? You want to know why I'm doing this?
Billy: Sure.
Adam: I'd like to do this not only for Harrison Bingham but for my father.
Billy: Wh-what are you talking about? They're the same damn thing.
Adam: They're not. Harrison Bingham is the man who raised me. My father -- my father's Jack Abbott.
Ashley: What the hell are you talking about?
Billy: Nothing. He's lost his mind.
Adam: Hardly.
Billy: Oh, this can't be true.
Chelsea: You're -- you're not being serious.
Ashley: Yeah, how can you be Jack's son? Please?
Adam: I presume it happened in the usual manner.
Billy: [Chuckles] Man, you are unbelievable.
Chelsea: [Chuckles] I mean, you're -- you're messing with them. Just tell them you're messing with them.
Ashley: Yeah, right? 'Cause he has to be.
Billy: So, if you're Jack's son, then that would make you my nephew.
Ashley: [Laughs] And I'm aunt Ashley, apparently.
Adam: Listen, are we just gonna run up and down the family tree all night or do you have some salient questions you want to ask me? Uncle Billy, you want to go first?
Billy: Oh, to hell with that.
Ashley: Okay, so, um, when did this happen?
Adam: Uh, when I was conceived, I guess.
Ashley: You know, you can really stop with the smart-ass answers, okay? 'Cause they're really not that funny, especially if this is some kind of a threat to my family. Now, how long have you known that you're Jack's "son"?
Adam: Not long. Honestly, I was as shocked as you are when I found out. Okay, and part of me still finds it hard to believe that my mother had an affair with Jack, but, uh...apparently it didn't last long, and then, when she passed away, he decided to just...keep it a secret. That's the truth.
Billy: Th-this is all crap, Bingham, and nobody's buying it.
Adam: You don't have to take my word for it. Just ask your brother. He'll tell you.
Ashley: Yeah, I intend to ask my brother. I also want some legitimate documentation, so please don't even utter the name Abbott until I get it, please.
Billy: You want a DNA test?
Ashley: Absolutely. You know what they say. Science never lies.
Adam: Take it up with Jack.
Ashley: Like I said, I intend to.
Adam: Okay.
Ashley: Now, speaking of Jack's sons, where's Kyle? Isn't he supposed to be here?
Chelsea: Uh, um, we haven't -- we haven't heard from him yet.
Billy: He's out of the country. He's checking on the funds to make sure they were transferred to that off-shore account.
Ashley: Jack allowed this?
Billy: Well, actually, I was gonna go, but Kyle insisted. He didn't want me taking the risk on account of my kids.
Ashley: So, wait a second. So, all the risk is now Kyle's? I mean, there's gonna be video surveillance of him all the way there and back. He's gonna leave a trail that could lead right back to him if something goes wrong with this.
Billy: Ash, Jack would never throw Kyle to the wolves to save himself.
Ashley: Jack wouldn't do a lot of things, or so I thought. Text Kyle. Tell him not to put that money transfer through.
Adam: It may be too late for that.
Ashley: I don't care. Billy, do it. We're not gonna get ourselves in any deeper until I speak with Jack.
[Door closes]
Billy: Well, you are just the gift that keeps on giving.
Victor: It's me. I got the info. I-I need to find out where it went down. Uh, no. Start a recovery mission. I'll pay for it. Well, I need proof that Jack Abbott is dead.
Marco: When Manuela and I parted, I tried to forget her. No easy task. I spent a small fortune trying to find her.
Phyllis: You couldn't find her?
Marco: Eventually, I did. And I learned that she was married.
Phyllis: What does this have to do with the text?
Jack: No, I'm -- I'm getting to that. I also learned that she and her new husband were having financial troubles, so I decided to help. I paid down their debts through an intermediary, and with my assistance, they were able to put a life back together, save their small business. They did okay.
Phyllis: And Manuela had no idea you were her guardian angel?
Marco: No, and I wanted it that way. She was happy. And that was enough for me, until...
Phyllis: So, your contact in Latin America is who texted you? And the other person who died was Manuela's husband?
Marco: They hadn't had a vacation in years. No one knows what caused the explosion. The ship went down immediately, and... everyone was lost.
Jack: Hey. You okay?
Marisa: I can't stop thinking about what you said. Marco's enemies are very powerful. Sooner or later, they're gonna realize we made it off the boat. When they find out you're alive, they'll come after you.
Jack: Even if I'm not Marco?
Marisa: [Sighs] These men -- they shoot first and ask questions later. Come on. Can you walk?
Jack: Uh...I kicked my way a mile to shore. Yeah, I can walk.
Marisa: Okay. Jack. Jack! Jack! No. Come on. Jack.
Escucha.
Victoria: You're an Abbott as well as a Newman, so how do I know I can trust you?
Abby: Are you having second thoughts about teaming up?
Victoria: No, no, no. I'm just trying to get the lay of the land.
Abby: Look, I can't give you an iron-clad guarantee. But what's your alternative? I mean, you could just abide by dad's command and be a good soldier.
Victoria: You know I won't.
Abby: Yeah. See, you're not a soldier. So, what do you say? Victoria and Abby together again for the first time.
Victoria: Looks like it. [Chuckles]
Abby: Awesome! Great, so we are gonna forget about dad, forget about uncle Jack, forget about everyone except for the two of us. We're gonna find out what the real story is and share it with each other. Deal?
Victoria: Deal. But...
Abby: What?
Victoria: Look, I love the idea of working together with you on this, but what if the plan's already been set in motion? What if we're too late to do anything about it?
Chelsea: It looks like there's a storm coming. I hope Connor sleeps through it.
Billy: Well, it's nothing compared to the storm that's going to hit if Gabe's lying about his paternity.
Adam: You think I asked to be related to you?
Billy: No, maybe not, but you're certainly making the most of it, aren't you? This explains how you got the job at Jabot, rose to the top with no experience.
Adam: I earned it.
Billy: Yeah, I'm sure you did. Same way you earned Chelsea's trust. How's that working out for you? You know, Gabe, is there anything that's real about you?
Adam: Okay, here's the thing. You got to go.
Billy: That's not your call. Want me to toss this guy out?
Chelsea: No, I-I think you should go.
Billy: Fine.
Adam: Aren't you forgetting something, uncle Billy? Big sister gave you a direct order.
Billy: Ashley's overreacting. Kyle will be fine. The chance to overthrow Victor is too important to postpone.
Adam: Thank you for not attacking me like the rest of them. It means the world to have you on my side. I appreciate that.
Chelsea: You are a bastard, Gabe. How could you?
Marco: Thank you for understanding.
Phyllis: I'm glad you told me. I'm actually grateful to Manuela.
Marco: Grateful?
Phyllis: Yeah. Maybe playboy Jack needed to love and have his heart broken a few times to know what real love is. You know, if you hadn't loved and lost with Luan, now Manuela, you might not have gone on the journey you took to come to love me.
Marco: [Voice breaking] You are an amazing woman. And you're right. Everything in my life led me to you, to this amazing life we share. And nothing, no one is going to take it from me.
Phyllis: Honey, why would someone try to take it from you?
[Cell phone rings]
Marco: I'm sorry.
Phyllis: Who is it?
Marco: Victor.
Phyllis: Just take it. Take it.
Marco: Whatever this is about, we can discuss it in the morning.
Victor: I need to see you right now at the office.
Phyllis: What is it?
Marco: Nothing I can't handle.
Marisa: Oh, you're burning up with fever. I'm afraid your wounds are infected. You need a doctor.
Jack: I'll be fine.
Marisa: No, you won't.
Escúchame. You may not live to see your wife or your family again. I need to find a doctor or at least a phone.
Jack: No. You're not going for help. You're gonna save your own skin and leave me here to die.
Chelsea: You know that the one thing I really hate is being lied to. So then what did you do? You -- you kept me in the dark about who you really are?
Adam: Chelsea, listen --
Chelsea: I mean, that's not even the worst part. You allowed me to let a stranger into my life, into my -- my home, into my bed. I mean, I shared things with you, Gabe. I -- including my son.
Adam: I'm not a stranger, Chelsea. I'm anything but a stranger.
Chelsea: How can you say that? I just found out that you're not the man that you said you were. I mean, Jack Abbott's son?! Why wouldn't you have told me that?
Adam: I just found out about it.
Chelsea: Then why didn't you tell me the second you found out? It's -- it's like -- and you certainly had the opportunity when you were laying next to me in my bed.
Adam: Chelsea, I was in shock, okay? Can you imagine one minute I am who I am, and the next minute, I'm -- I don't even know who I am. I'm someone completely different. I was in shock, okay? Look, if there's one thing you can hold on to, one thing that's true, it's my love for you. That is real. So believe in that.
Billy: Hey, uh, the usual, please.
Abby: Ready, partner?
Victoria: Ready.
Abby: Billy! Hey!
Billy: Hey.
Abby: Hey, why don't you come join us? Come sit down.
Billy: [Chuckles] Sure. It's...the best offer I've had all day.
Abby: Oh, what's wrong? You look like you've lost your best friend.
Billy: More like I've gained a new one, whether I want him or not.
Victoria: Um...do you want to talk about it?
Billy: Yeah, no. I'd really rather pretend it never happened. Look, have you guys seen Jack at all tonight?
Abby: I don't believe it. Dad was right. Uncle Jack's planning a sneak attack, and you know about it, don't you, Billy?
Billy: I don't know what you're talking about, Abby.
Victoria: Oh, you know, it's -- it's just a really well-kept secret. That's all. But you do have a conscience. Are you sure you don't want to talk about it? It might make you feel better. I promise whatever you tell us will not leave this table.
Ashley: What are you doing at my computer? You have one in your office.
Phyllis: I'm looking up boat explosions in south America.
Ashley: [Sighs] Okay, that's very funny, Phyllis. Did Jack put you up to this? Is he using you to get into my files like he's using Kyle?
Phyllis: What are you talking about? Why would he be using Kyle?
Ashley: I don't want to get into it. I need to find Jack.
Phyllis: Well, he was called away by his business partner.
Ashley: Oh, really? So, what did Victor want?
Phyllis: No clue. Whatever it was, he would not take no for an answer.
Marco: This better be urgent. There's a big storm coming in, and I don't want to get caught driving home.
Victor: [Chuckles] I don't blame you. It's uncomfortable to be blindsided, isn't it? But then, you're an expert at that, aren't you? Huh? Doing away with people in dark alleys and putting knives in people's backs.
Marco: I don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Victor: Really?
Marco: Hard to believe.
Victor: [Chuckles] Spare me.
Marco: Excuse me?
Victor: You're a thug -- one that I applied polish to, but you're still a thug. You're in way over your head.
Marco: Am I?
Victor: I can make you and I can break you.
Marco: That's right. You did make me. You found me in that stinking prison, greased the palm of some slimy politician to get me out of Peru, flew me here, tutored me on the fine points of becoming john Abbott Jr. Once I perfected my role, you unleashed me on the world. This whole idea was your doing. All I had to do was make sure no one found out about it.
Victor: Including my granddaughter's husband and my grandson's fiancée.
Marco: Again, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Victor: I'm talking about the people in the cabin. Remember that pretty young blond policewoman?
Marco: Oh, that. If I got blood on my hands, so do you, my friend.
Victor: So, you admit to killing them -- Austin and Courtney and Tobias.
Marco: I admit to nothing.
Victor: Don't think for one moment of implicating me in those murders.
Marco: Gee, now why would I think that? Face it, my friend. Those kids are dead for a reason. No one was to find out that there are two Jack Abbotts. Now that Jack Abbott himself is shark bait, only you and I know the truth. And maybe that's one too many.
Victor: Yeah. Maybe.
Adam: Chelsea, who the hell cares who my dad is, anyway? Is it really that important? I mean, the important thing is that I'm here with you, right? That I-I'm looking forward to this life that I want to share with you. And in spite of everything that's happened, I know you feel the same way, right? Right? Okay, look, I know this is difficult for you. I understand that, okay? And I know you're hurt. But just tell me what you need from me. And whatever it is, I'll do it.
Chelsea: There's only one thing you can do for me now, Gabe. And that is to get the hell out of my house.
Abby: Whatever Jack has up his sleeve, it must be pretty shocking if it's gotten you down this way.
Victoria: I really hate to see it eating you up like this. And we all know that Jack is not the same guy that he used to be.
Abby: No. That's an understatement.
Victoria: He's made some very questionable choices, and guess who's left to clean up the mess.
Abby: You.
Victoria: Billy, for your sake and for Katherine and for Johnny, would you please tell me what's going on so I can help you?
Abby: And if you're worried about this getting back to Victor, don't. Vicki and I have declared our independence. We are doing what's best for us and not dear old dad.
Billy: Yes. You two are really good at this. I'm surprised you haven't tried this approach more often.
Abby: Approach?
Billy: Mm. Tag team. Good sister, bad sister. Whatever you want to call it.
Victoria: Oh, come on, Billy. Give us a little more credit than that.
Billy: Okay, all right. You want a little -- a little scandal, a little tidbit? Here you go. Gabriel Bingham is not who he says he is.
Abby: What does that mean?
Billy: It means we have a new member of the Abbott fold, one I didn't even know existed until tonight.
Victoria: Wait a minute. What?
Billy: Yeah, it would seem that the bastard who slept with my fiancée is my nephew.
Abby: Wait, Jack is Gabe's father?
Ashley: Okay, so I'm just gonna wait for Jack here. Now, what was so urgent that you had to use my computer and couldn't wait for your own?
Phyllis: I told you. I'm looking up boat explosions involving a woman by the name of Manuela. Has Jack ever mentioned her to you?
Ashley: Manuela. Um...no, I don't think I've ever heard that before.
Phyllis: She's an old girlfriend of Jack's, but something is very off about the story.
Ashley: That's it? That was so urgent you had to use my computer?
Phyllis: Whoa. Touchy. What's your deal?
Ashley: I'm not blaming you, all right? There's nothing Jack does anymore that surprises me, like this mysterious woman from his past, and now, supposedly, Jack has a son that none of us ever knew about.
Phyllis: What son would that be?
Marisa: If I wanted to save myself, I would have let you drown. Now let go of me so I can go. Sleep. I don't know how far I'll have to walk to find a village with a doctor or someone else that can help you. [Sighs]
Jack: Marisa.
Marisa: Yes, Jack?
Jack: You'll come back, right?
Marisa: [Sighs] Of course.
[Door opens, closes]
Victor: If you think you can intimidate me, you've made a serious miscalculation.
Marco: Have I?
Victor: You believe in your own bull about being a thug and ruthless and tough? Have you ever come up against a guy who can't be intimidated?
Marco: If you're looking for the 9mm you keep in the drawer there, you're looking in the wrong place.
Victor: You haven't got the guts.
Marco: You sure about that?
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Joe: What are you having to drink?
Lily: Uh, fuzzy navel, but I think I'm ready for something a little stronger.
Dylan: Did you call the police?
Avery: I-I-I didn't even think. [Gasps] Oh, my god.
