Phyllis: So what's going on? Victor, you seem upset.

Victor: Just very concerned about what happened to Ashley.

Phyllis: What happened? I thought she was okay.

Marco: Ashley's fine.

Victor: Well, just barely fine. She had an aneurysm. If that had ruptured, she wouldn't be with us anymore.

Phyllis: But she's okay, right?

Marco: Ashley's doing just fine. Forgive Victor's maudlin mood. He always had a soft spot for my sister.

Phyllis: Yes, that's true. I should have put that together myself. What else could have shaken Victor Newman like that, huh? Be an awful thing to lose your favorite Abbott.

Summer: I-I don't want to feel like this, Kyle, like there's some secret lurking.

Kyle: Aunt Ashley?! What are you doing out of the hospital?

Ashley: Hi. Well, apparently they don't want perfectly healthy people taking up their rooms.

Summer: Hi! You look amazing.

Ashley: Thank you. Uh, maybe that's what you should have led with.

Kyle: [Laughs] Well, duly noted. Please join us. Sit down. Here.

Ashley: Yeah, maybe I should sit down, anyway, right? [Sighs] So, what's going on? What have I missed at work?

Kyle: [Sighs] Nothing much. You know.

Summer: I guess I'm not the only one that Kyle's hiding things from.

Ashley: Why? What's going on? Should I be concerned?

Kyle: I wouldn't say that, no.

Summer: No, not in front of me, at least, right?

Ashley: Okay, maybe I'm a little slow on the uptake because of the, um, brain surgery, but I just really don't understand what you're talking about.

Kyle: You know, dad can fill you in on that. Maybe you should go catch up with him.

Ashley: Yeah. I think I'll do that.

Billy: So, I'm growing on you again, huh?

Victoria: Um, like a rash, you mean?

Billy: [Chuckles]

Victoria: [Laughs]

Billy: That's not exactly the analogy I was going for. Rash, bad. Us, good. You just said so.

Victoria: It was just a slip of the tongue.

Billy: [Chuckles] Well, those aren't always such a bad thing, either, right? You know, I really like being back in your desirable favor.

Victoria: You find my favor desirable?

Billy: Yeah. Most definitely.

Nick: Hey, are -- are you okay? Are you in pain? Do you need me to take you back to the hospital?

Sage: No, I'm...I'm in shock, nick. You want me to live with you?

Nick: It's an offer. You know, I'm not pushing it if it's not something you want.

Sage: What about what you want?

Nick: I've thought about this, and it makes a lot of sense to me.

Sage: Sense. What about faith?

Nick: Uh, faith -- you know, she's, uh, she's warming to you some.

Sage: Oh, no. She isn't warming to me. What are you talking about?

Nick: Look, my little girl adores babies, and I think she'll find it very exciting to live with us and our new, beautiful baby.

Sage: Even the fact that I come attached to that beautiful baby?

Nick: Well, that she's gonna have to suffer through.

Sage: So she hasn't mellowed.

Nick: But she will.

Sage: [Sighs] No, she won't. Don't know.

Nick: Look, of course there's gonna be an adjustment period, but kids can adjust, too, Sage.

Sage: Well, there's gonna be an adjustment period for you, too.

Nick: This baby makes us a family, and I want us together. I want to be able to take care of you and make sure you're okay.

Sage: Yeah, but you can do that even if I have my own place.

Nick: Okay, do you not want to live with me, 'cause I'm fun.

Sage: I don't... I don't know if you really want me to live with you. This is a change. You never wanted this before.

Nick: It was your surgery. It scared the heck out of me. The idea of losing you or this baby...

Sage: You can just wait a couple days, see if that feeling passes.

Nick: I don't need a couple days. I know what I want.

Sage: What do you want?

Nick: I want you. I want you in my life. I need you.

Sage: I need you, too.

Nick: All right. So...

Sage: I'm moving in.

Nick: Yeah.

Dylan: [Clears throat]

Kyle: Summer, why did you say all that stuff in front of aunt Ashley?

Summer: 'Cause I thought she'd want to know that her family was up to something.

Kyle: I never said that.

Summer: No, you didn't have to. I know what I saw.

Kyle: What you think you saw.

Summer: You, Billy, and Jack all at the hospital with your heads together. Ugh. I never knew what hatching a plot looked like until I saw that.

Kyle: Maybe we were celebrating aunt Ashley being better.

Summer: Yeah. Maybe. Come on, Kyle. Why can't you just tell what's going on?

Kyle: Can we just please change the subject, talk about something else?

Summer: Yeah, you want me to change the subject because you don't want to lie to me. Well, guess what, Kyle? Hiding stuff is just as bad. I know what I saw. You three little plot hatchers.

Kyle: Now you're just being ridiculous.

Summer: Yes, because you' driving me crazy! Okay, if that chat that you had with your dad and uncle was just about marketing or sales strategies, why couldn't you say that to Ashley in front of me?

Kyle: Seeing how you know everything, why don't you tell me?

Summer: I don't know. No reason, I guess.

Kyle: Right. Now, can we just drop it, please, and -- and just --

Summer: Unless this plan has something to do with my grandpa.

Victor: Well, now, aren't you a vision.

Ashley: [Chuckles] Thank you.

Victor: My goodness.

Ashley: It's good to be back.

Marco: Your doctor said you weren't to be released for another day or so.

Ashley: I know, but I changed their minds. You know me. I'd rather be working than sitting around.

Victor: We all know how hard you work. But for the sake of those of us who care about you, don't work that hard. Take time to recover.

Phyllis: Victor was especially concerned about your condition.

Ashley: Thank you. Um, I promise I won't work too hard, all right? I'll be careful. Can I talk to you for a second?

Marco: Of course. Yeah.

Ashley: Excuse us.

Victor: I just hope she doesn't overextend herself.

Phyllis: I'm just hoping you drop the act. Victor, I don't buy one word of your excuse about Ashley.

Billy: So, who would have thought that things would be like this between us again?

Victoria: Like what?

Billy: I don't know. Working together and getting along.

Victoria: I think you're forgetting how many times we've butted heads since this whole merger started.

Billy: Yeah, but that's all behind us now, right?

Victoria: I hope so. You know, it means a lot to me, Billy, knowing that I can count on you and trust you even though we're on opposite sides, technically, of Newman-Abbott.

Billy: Uh-oh. Why do I get the feeling that you want something from me?

Victoria: More than you could possibly know.

Billy: Well, that sounds intriguing. Tell me more.

Victoria: You know, when you look at me like that, I really do believe that I can tell you anything, ask you anything.

Billy: Name it.

Dylan: Sage, glad to see you're doing well.

Sage: You're out of doughnuts.

Dylan: [Chuckling] Okay, I'm sorry about that.

Sage: I know this because I ate them all.

Dylan: [Laughs]

Sharon: That must be a good sign that everything's well with the baby.

Sage: Yeah, so far, so good.

Nick: Sharon, I owe you an apology. I should not have, uh, blown up at you the other day like I did.

Sharon: You know what? It was a tense time.

Nick: Well, I should never have accused you of trying to take advantage of Sage's situation so you could spend more time with faith. I mean, I know you were just trying to help.

Sage: I didn't know about this.

Sharon: I'm sure he just didn't want to upset you. You know, I appreciate your apology, and I get it. You know, you were under pressure. And I shouldn't have pushed you. Dylan actually made me realize I could have handled the situation better.

Nick: Well, we both could have. I got your message about Avery. Joe's walking again?

Dylan: Yeah, medical miracle. Uh, but the fun part is, he didn't let Avery in on the secret.

Nick: [Sighs] What a dirtbag.

Dylan: I know. They got into a fight. She took off, and it took awhile for us to track her down.

Sharon: But she's back now, and she has a restraining order against Joe.

Sage: Did he hurt her?

Dylan: Let's just call it a preemptive strike on Avery's part.

Nick: Did you keep your cool?

Dylan: Well...no. No, I took a swing at the guy.

Nick: Well, I hope he was on his feet and not in a wheelchair when you socked him.

Dylan: He was, uh, standing up, but he's got a restraining order against me now.

Nick: Well, I'm sure you were justified, but watch your back. You don't want any more trouble where this bastard's concerned.

Dylan: Well, that should be easy since legally I have to stay away from him.

Sharon: Dylan's not gonna let Joe get the best of him or Avery.

Dylan: I should get back to work. Next time I'm gonna have a big plate of jelly doughnuts for you.

Nick: Hey, uh, wait. We have some news. Sage and I are moving in together.

Sharon: I had a feeling this was coming. And I understand why this is the right choice for both of you. Congratulations!

Nick: Thank you, Sharon. That means a lot. Thanks.

Sharon: Mm-hmm.

Sage: Thank you. I'm really grateful to have nick by my side. I've never been pregnant before. And I don't even -- I've never really been around babies much.

Sharon: Well, a lot of it will just come naturally, and the rest, nick will know what to do. And you're in good hands with him.

Nick: Our biggest hurdle right now is faith.

Sharon: You know what? Why don't I talk to her and I'll see if I can ease her into the transition?

Nick: That will make a big difference. Thank you.

Sharon: Mm-hmm. You know what? This might be hard to believe, but I really mean it. I wish you and Sage all the best.

Kyle: My dad, Uncle Billy, and I were having a simple business discussion.

Summer: About what?

Kyle: Something that I can't discuss with someone who doesn't work at the company.

Summer: Please, Kyle, I know enough about your family's business and my family's business to know that it's never just business. It's usually personal.

Kyle: Not necessarily.

Summer: Look at what it's doing to us right now. You know, fine. Kyle, if you're not gonna talk with me about it, then I'm just gonna --

Kyle: Summer, wait. Please just -- don't go.

Summer: Why? What is the point in me staying if you're not gonna tell me what's going on with you?

Kyle: Just can you at least just try and give us a shot here?

Summer: Am! You are the one that's messing this up! How can we have any kind of future if you're already telling lies and keeping secrets from me?

Kyle: All right, well, here's a secret. I love you.

Summer: You...you love me?

Kyle: Yes. I am completely, totally, absolutely in love with you, summer Newman. And I think even if you're not ready to say it yet, you're in love with me, too.

Summer: [Sighs] I don't kn. The last time that I said that to someone, I --

Kyle: Can you just try not to talk about that guy for a second? We're kind of having a moment here.

Summer: Kyle, look, if what we have is going to be real or have any kind of future, you need to tell me what's going on. Okay, I cannot have another relationship built on lies. Easy, Kyle, just be honest with me. Please.

Kyle: All right. But just not here.

Summer: Okay.

Kyle: Come with me.

Victor: Are you implying that I don't care about Ashley's wellbeing?

Phyllis: I'm not debating that you don't care.

Victor: Ah.

Phyllis: I'm just saying whatever you were upset about earlier, that wasn't about Ashley's health.

Victor: And how the hell do you know that? Are you reading cards now? A soothsayer or what?

Phyllis: You are not the type of guy that gets overly emotional when you knew Ashley was gonna have a full recovery. I mean, you're about the facts, not supposition. To show that kind of vulnerability in front of Jack, that's -- that's kind of weird.

Victor: Really? You know that, right? You don't understand that Jack and I have different relationship now.

Phyllis: Yeah, but you see, coming together for a successful business merger is one thing, but to have heart-to-hearts with a man you wanted to destroy for years -- I mean, that's another.

Victor: Yeah, kind of hard to understand. He and I have hated each other's guts for decades, you know. Now to think that the battles between us are over with, that's kind of difficult to accept. But that's how it is.

Phyllis: That almost sounded sincere.

Victor: What do you mean? Only almost? Am I slipping, or what?

Phyllis: Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I wouldn't say that.

Victor: So many people have fought Jack and me over the years, you know, a long line of enemies. Hope you will not become one of them. Your husband wouldn't appreciate that.

Phyllis: I do apologize for overreacting.

Victor: Good.

Phyllis: Yeah. And, you know, what you say, it is very true. Old habits die hard.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Phyllis: I didn't mean to go looking for any kind of trouble.

Victor: Now you know there's no trouble to look for.

Ashley: You want to frame Victor for embezzlement?

Marco: And then take the whole company, yes. It's already in motion, ash. Billy, Kyle, Chelsea, Gabriel-- they're all on board.

Ashley: Wait, wait. What are you thinking about -- Gabriel? You don't trust him, remember? You asked me to get closer to him so you could get answers.

Marco: I have since learned in no uncertain terms that Gabriel harbors as much frustration with Victor as I do.

Ashley: Well, at least that's what he says, Jack.

Marco: Gabriel wants retribution for what Victor did to his family. I know I can count on him. I want to know I can count on you.

Ashley: [Sighs] I'm astonished!

Marco: What? That everyone's going along with it?

Ashley: Yes! And also that you would even come up with this double-cross. I look at you, I don't know who the hell you are.

Marco: I'm your brother, ash. Jackie.

Ashley: So wait. So wait a minute. You mean all this talk about putting the feud aside, I-I honestly believed that you had changed.

Marco: I haven't. Isn't that reassuring?

Ashley: I sincerely don't know, but I do know that I'm t going along with this plan, Jack.

Marco: Wait a minute. Why not?

Ashley: Because it's illegal!

Marco: Ash, you were the loudest voice against this merger. Think of it as setting things right, putting things in order.

Ashley: So you're finally admitting that you were wrong about that all along? You've been wrong about that merger?

Marco: Absolutely not. It was my best idea. Merge with Victor, set Victor up, then walk away with the companies. That's been my idea all along.

Victoria: Maybe we should talk about Johnny and Katherine.

Billy: Why? So we can avoid talking about Newman-Abbott? You think I don't know what's on your mind, Vick?

Victoria: I know you don't.

Billy: Maybe it's your dad and my brother acting like they're best friends. I know that doesn't sit well with you.

Victoria: They're acting like they're a great team.

Billy: But you still have your doubts.

Victoria: I have hard time believing that they've buried the hatchet, yes.

Billy: That's because you know that one of them's gonna screw the other one over eventually.

Victoria: And I think that Jack will be the first to try something.

Billy: You think?

Victoria: I do. But that's what I think, Billy. What I really want to know is what you're thinking.

Sage: Oh. Thank you. I didn't know how nick's announcement would go over.

Dylan: Yeah, Sharon has come a long way. And for what it's worth, I'll put in a good word with faith, too.

Sage: Yeah, I'll take all the good words you can offer. She's very protective of her daddy.

Dylan: Yeah, she is. Don't worry. There will be calmer waters ahead.

Sage: [Chuckles] Faith's despised me from day one. She's just a little girl. I don't want to make her uncomfortable. I don't want nick to be in the middle.

Dylan: Yeah, you know, you're forgetting that things are a little different now. Sharon and I are together.

Sage: Is faith okay with that?

Dylan: What can I say? She loves me. [Laughs]

Sage: Lucky you. Lucky you.

Dylan: Don't worry. You're off the hook. You're not the one and only obstacle to faith's parents getting back together.

Sage: Said like a man who intends to be with Sharon for a while.

Dylan: That I do.

Nick: Sharon, the way you reacted to Sage's news and how kind you were to her, super cool.

Sharon: I meant every word of it.

Nick: Well, how much of your new outlook has to do with Dylan?

Sharon: He's been a very good influence.

Nick: Has anything changed between you two?

Sharon: Yes. One thing. I'm working here now with him.

Nick: [Chuckles]

Sharon: [Laughs]

Nick: Wow. That's got to feel a little weird.

Sharon: Yeah, it's a little, but I haven't been behind that counter in a long time. It's exactly what I needed, it turns out. And Dylan figured that out before I did.

Nick: Well, I'm proud of you, the way you've turned your life around. You and Dylan make quite a team.

Sharon: Yeah, we do.

Billy: I understand how you could arrive at that conclusion. Either Jack or your dad is eventually going to turn on each other.

Victoria: I want to believe that Jack's merger is everything that he's claiming that it is, but his history with my dad has always been...

Billy: Antagonistic?

Victoria: And then some. How can that end just like that?

Billy: I don't know, Vick. I mean, I was skeptical, too, but every time I confront Jack about his "hey, let's all hold hands and get along" attitude, he swears he's a changed man, and his behavior backs that up.

Victoria: He's been very convincing. W do you know he's not gonna backslide?

Billy: I could ask you the same thing about Victor.

Victoria: And what would I say?

Billy: I don't know. "Wait and see"?

Victoria: Yeah, that's a good idea. Wait until Jack --

Billy: Or your dad.

Victoria: Until either one of them launches a "shock and awe" attack and then we all have to duck and run for cover.

Billy: We can do better than that.

Victoria: Really? What do you have in mind?

Billy: You keep an eye on Victor, tell me you think he's planning something, and I will do the same thing for you with Jack.

Victoria: Sure. We'll keep an eye out for backsliding or a return to patterns of old behavior.

Billy: Okay.

Ashy: I confronted you many, many times. I asked you time and again why you went ahead with this merger.

Marco: Thank you for that, by the way.

Ashley: So all this effort that you put into getting my support, this sermon you gave about wanting a more peaceful existence...

Marco: All window dressing.

Ashley: Why don't you call it what it really is? You lied. You lied to me, you lied to our family the entire time.

Marco: I had to make it believable so that Victor would lower his guard. Now that he has, he is not going to see any of this coming. We will get our family company back, and we'll get control of Newman.

Ashley: Wait, wait, wait. You make it sound like it's a joint effort.

Marco: It is a joint effort.

Ashley: Is it? Because as we're setting ourselves up to possibly go to prison and siphoning money from our departments to go into your dummy account, what exactly are you gonna be doing?

Marco: The most important job of all -- convincing Victor I am still on his side.

Ashley: Uh-huh. So if we get caught, your hands won't be dirty?

Marco: Wait a minute. You are family. I would never set you or Kyle or Billy up to take a fall for me. I wouldn't do that.

Ashley: How are you gonna protect us, Jack?

Marco: I will handle things in such a way that nothing can be traced to you or any of the others. But I have to be careful with Victor. I have to remain a step removed.

Ashley: [Sighs] I don't know. Framing Victor, breaking the law, it just -- it's wrong.

Marco: I'm sorry you feel that way. I want you on board, but I'm not gonna try to talk you into this. I do have one thing to ask of you, though. Stay out of our way while the rest of the Abbotts and I do what needs to be done.

Dylan: You put on a good face earlier.

Sharon: Are you inferring that that was a fake face?

Dylan: [Chuckles] Uh, just, you know, around the edges, I could tell you were a little upset when you heard nick and Sage were moving in together.

Sharon: I was a little sad, but not for the reasons you think.

Dylan: Well, I know you and nick have a lot of history together.

Sharon: Dylan, I don't want to be with nick.

Dylan: Okay. Then, uh, why were you sad?

Sharon: I just... you know what? I'm happy with the way things are.

Dylan: But you want more.

Sharon: I know that you're not ready to take the next step.

Dylan: Sharon, it's okay.

Sharon: I don't want to pressure you.

Dylan: No, you're not pressuring me. It's okay. I've been thinking about things, too.

Sharon: About taking our next step?

Dylan: About how you handled the situation with Avery, how you trusted me, how you dealt with nick and Sage today. You're incredible. And you have a big heart. And, uh, you know what? Coming home to you last night... it just felt right.

Sharon: For me, too. Are you saying...?

Dylan: I don't know what I'm waiting for. Sharon... I would like to move in with you.

Sharon: [Chuckles]

Dylan: Today, if you'll have me.

Sharon: I will.

Dylan: [Laughs] You will? Okay, that's good.

Sage: [Laughs]

Nick: Hey, dad.

Sage: Hello.

Victor: Hey. Well, I guess you're making sure that Sage is getting put into her room safely.

Nick: Well, there's been a change of plans. Sage is gonna be living with me at the tackhouse.

Victor: But you told me that you were capable of supporting yourself and your child.

Sage: I can.

Victor: Uh-huh. You also told me --

Sage: That nick and I were working out our relationship? Well, looks like we did.

Nick: Sage told you the truth, dad. She didn't know how strongly I felt about this or her. So, uh, yeah, we talked about it. This is what we want. It's what best certainly for the baby.

Victor: The baby must be given first consideration.

Sage: Nothing is more important to me.

Nick: Okay. Well, uh, let's go get your stuff. I want to move you into my place as soon as possible.

Victor: Okay.

Kyle: This isn't easy for me.

Summer: Yeah, I can tell. Hey, whatever it is, it'll be okay.

Kyle: Will it?

Summer: Yeah. 'Cause we're gonna get through it together.

Kyle: Things at work with the merger, they aren't what they appear.

Phyllis: Ashley, you're leaving already? You feel all right?

Ashley: Um, I just think that maybe coming back to work so soon was a bit more challenging than I thought.

Marco: Take care, sis.

Phyllis: Yeah, you -- you call us if you need anything, okay?

Ashley: Yes, I will. Thank you.

Marco: Well, I didn't expect to see you still here.

Phyllis: Yeah, yeah, I couldn't leave.

Marco: Couldn't live life without me?

Phyllis: Couldn't buy that bogus explanation you and Victor tried to sell me earlier.

Marco: Bogus?

Phyllis: Don't play dumb. Doesn't suit you. What was going on earlier?

Marco: Victor and I --

Phyllis: Before you try to snow me, I want you to know I have already questioned Victor.

Marco: And he said what?

Phyllis: He continued to shovel the same load of crap you guys were piling on --

Marco: If Victor said he was concerned about Ashley, it's because he was!

Phyllis: He wasn't upset about Ashley. And why are you getting so angry that I'm asking you a simple question?

Marco: I'm not --

Phyllis: I don't expect Victor Newman to be straight with me, but I do expect my husband to be. Now tell me what's going on around here.

Marco: Yes, I'm angry, for good reason. You didn't like what Victor and I were saying, so you go and grill him behind my back?!

Phyllis: Something seemed off. I had questions. I asked them.

Marco: And you risk agitating my business partner. What? You don't want this merger to work?

Phyllis: No, of course I want this merger to work. Look, I have my doubts, but you have been very happy lately. Absolutely nobody has stood by you, Jack, more than I have. No questions asked. And I'm asking questions now. I just need the truth from you.

Marco: I know. And I'm sorry. Ashley and I had a big disagreement about what's going on, and I was in a foul mood.

Phyllis: What kind of disagreement?

Marco: About her coming back too soon. Here's all you need to know. There is nothing to worry about. I'm gonna go get this file that Victoria was supposed to leave for me, and we will get out of here and talk about something more pleasant.

[Cell phone vibrates]

Ashley: Of course I'm not onboard with Jack's plan. How can you be?

Billy: I don't see what's wrong with it.

Ashley: Oh, come on. It's embezzlement. He kept this "master plan" of his from us for months. He lied to us. And now with this latest curve ball, we could all end up in prison. Wait, everybody but Jack.

Billy: Look, I'm not thrilled with the way Jack's going about it, either, but you got to admit, the plan is genius.

Ashley: It's criminal.

Billy: Look, the way he's going about it, none of us are gonna get caught.

Ashley: So that makes it okay?

Billy: Ash, if this gets Victor out of our company and out of our lives, then yeah, I'm okay with it.

Ashley: Look, I know that your animosity towards Victor runs very deep, but he is my daughter's father, so...

Billy: Yeah, that didn't stop him from treating you like some common worker bee at his precious company, now, did it? Which I know you resent.

Ashley: He's also Victoria's father. If she found out about this, she'd never forgive you.

Billy: Yeah, well... Victoria has an immense capacity for forgiveness, so...

Ashley: You're deluding yourself.

Billy: She has forgiven Victor's laundry list of reprehensible behavior, as well as most of my past sins.

Ashley: You're talking about framing her father for a federal offense.

Billy: Vicki knows how business works between our families.

Ashley: Wow, you've totally rationalized this, haven't you?

Billy: Okay. Maybe I am taking a huge risk where it comes to Victoria. But, ash, I have to. This is our one shot at getting Jabot back, which is something I know you want. You want it as much as Jack and me. And this is what dad would want, too.

Victoria: Dad, something's going on with you.

Victor: Hmm.

Victoria: Are you gonna tell me what it is?

Victor: I just learned from your brother that he's moving in with Sage.

Victoria: Oh. I didn't even know that was on the table.

Victor: [Chuckles] The question is will he ever learn. My goodness. But let's not discuss that. Did you learn anything useful when you talked to your ex-husband?

Victoria: No, not yet. But Billy and I did come to an understanding.

Victor: Oh, yeah?

Victoria: Yes. He says that he's gonna let me know when Jack is planning to make a move.

Victor: Oh. What's in it for him?

Victoria: He wants me to keep an eye on you and let him know when you're planning to make a move.

Victor: Yeah, I bet. As if I would let the Abbotts know when I'm planning to make a move. When I do plan, let me tell you something. They're the last ones to know.

Summer: I knew that it was all too good to be true. God, I mean, I wanted to believe that Jack and grandpa could get along. I mean, I care so much about both of them.

Kyle: You care about my dad?

Summer: Yeah. Of course. I mean, I-I love Jack. I may be Victor Newman's granddaughter, but I'm always gonna have a soft spot for the Abbotts. So I really hope that Jack isn't planning to mess things up.

Kyle: God. This is really one of those times I wish your last name wasn't Newman and mine wasn't Abbott.

Summer: That's never mattered for us before. Come on. Just tell me what's going on with your family.

Kyle: Okay, the truth is... my dad feels like he needs to protect Jabot's interests.

Summer: Yeah? And? That's not news, Kyle.

Kyle: Well, you wanted to know what we were talking about in the hospital.

Summer: Yeah, that's not some big secret.

Kyle: I'm sorry you're disappointed.

Summer: I'm disappointed because you're not telling me everything.

Kyle: How do you know?

Summer: Because you were so worked up about it. Jack is planning something, isn't he?

Kyle: Summer, I've already told you everything I can.

Summer: Kyle, you told me you were gonna be honest with me.

Kyle: Okay, you want honesty?

Summer: Yes!

Kyle: You shouldn't be asking me to break my dad's confidence just to keep yours.

Summer: No, I'm just asking for you to trust me.

Kyle: And I'm telling you, summer, as the guy who loves you, that it would be better for both of us if you could just drop this. Do you trust me enough to do that for me?

Sage: Hercules, you didn't have to carry it all at once.

Nick: Well, two trips would imply that you have too much stuff, and then that could hurt your feelings. I don't want that to happen.

Sage: I only have three suitcases.

Nick: Three very heavy suitcases. But don't worry. I'm gonna find a place for each and every one of your things at our place.

Sage: Our place.

Nick: Yeah.

Sage: Yeah.

Nick: You ready for this adventure?

Sage: Oh, I'm so ready. [Laughs]

Sharon: That's it? You have one bag? That's all your stuff?

Dylan: That's it. I don't, uh, I don't need much. Besides, what's most important is standing right in front of me.

Sharon: Welcome home.

Ashley: Our father would definitely not approve of this, not of Jack's merger to begin with and not of this unethical plot to throw Victor out of both companies.

Bly: I agree. Dad probably wouldn't have liked the way that Jack is going about this. But he would have hated the idea of Victor running his legacy, a legacy that's been left to us to protect, ash. Think about how much you have hated losing control of your work. Now imagine getting Jabot back and putting it back on top again. Victor's never gonna allow for that. It is always gonna be Newman first and Abbott second. You can't deny that.

Ashley: No, I can't deny that.

Billy: Ash, ash. I understand why you're uncomfortable with this. I do. But if this is gonna succeed, it's going to take all of us. So are you with us?

Ashley: Okay. I'm in.

Victor: You know I'm proud of you for reaching out to Billy boy to get information from him so that it would help our company.

Victoria: Well, did you expect any less from me?

Victor: Yeah, but I sense that you're not really on board with our plan.

Victoria: Dad, I just don't really like misleading Billy. That's all.

Victor: Why not? He's doing the same thing to you. He's pumping you for information about us.

Victoria: You know why. But it doesn't matter. I'll do whatever it takes to protect the interest of our family. That's all.

Victor: Good. I'm glad.

Summer: Grandpa, um, there's something you need to know.

Marco: What are you doing with my phone?

Phyllis: You got a text. It buzzed. "Confirmation. M was with him. Both dead."

Marco: What?

Phyllis: You got a phone call earlier, and I said it looked like you had lost your best friend, that someone was dead. Why don't you tell me the truth, Jack? Who's M?

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Michael: I didn't force them to kiss, lily.

Joe: I guess even Dylan figured it out. You'd cheat on me, so you'd probably cheat on him, too.

Marco: After all my planning, you blew it over a girl?!
