Episode # 10678 ~ A mysterious stranger meets with Jack; Sharon is forced to defend herself; Adam's behavior causes Chelsea to worry.
Provided By Suzanne
Adam: Jack understands me better than Victor ever did.
Chelsea: Just now, you -- you sounded exactly like Adam.
Adam: It's, uh -- it's -- it's these -- these office politics. They get me -- they get me worked up. I take it seriously, you know? I'll tone it down.
Chelsea: No. It's not just office politics. It was your voice, that tone. This is personal for you. And the look in your eyes, it reminded me of Adam when he would butt heads with Victor. It was the exact same look.
Adam: I guess Victor brings out the worst in everyone.
Victor: So, Gabriel Bingham is hiding something.
Marco: Only his real identity.
Victor: Mm-hmm. And you know the truth?
Marco: Lucky me.
Victor: Tell me.
Marco: What's the fun in my just blurting it out? I'll give you three guesses what his secret identity is.
Victor: Stop playing games.
Marco: I'll tell you what. I'll give you a head start by telling you who Gabe isn't. He isn't Harrison Bingham's son, for starters.
Victor: So, whose son is he?
Marco: Someone closer to home.
Jack: Help! Help! I don't know who Marco is! I don't know anything about panama or missing money! I am Jack Abbott! You need to call my family, tell them I'm okay. Help!
[Sighs] You make too much noise, Marco. We're pulling into port, having a few guests. I recall you used to like going to parties. Too bad you're not invited to this one. And if you're still intelligent, you'll keep your mouth shut.
Jack: You have the wrong man. You have the wrong man. Listen to me. I can help you find Marco. Get me home. I can help you. I have the money. I have the resources. Let me help you! [Exclaims]
Dylan: So, Nick being on board should make this a lock, don't you think? Sharon will get her overnight with faith?
David: Well, we can tell the mediator the parents are in agreement. That should help nudge her along, as long as it's true and Nick and Sharon are still on the same page.
Dylan: Yeah. Yeah, they are. They are. So, faith will finally get a night a week with her mother.
David: Yep, and where is Sharon?
Dylan: Oh!
David: Ah.
Sharon: Hi, David.
David: Hi.
Sharon: Thank you for arranging to have the meeting here. I just -- I wanted the mediator to see where faith would be living and just to show her that it's a loving, warm environment.
Dylan: Yeah. Makes sense.
Sharon: Um, I couldn't decide which one. I-I want to look maternal, but I-I -- but not like I'm trying too hard.
Dylan: They're both perfect. You always look great.
Sharon: Well, it's not really all about the dress.
Dylan: Yeah. Because you'll be a good mother. The dress isn't gonna change that. Look, just be yourself, okay? We're all here for faith. Nick already agreed to the weekly sleepover.
Sharon: Nick's attorney might have other ideas. We all know how Avery feels about me. She could be changing nick's mind as we speak.
Avery: As your attorney and as your friend, what are you thinking? The custody decision isn't that new, and already you want to revise it? Nick, your intentions have been excellent. You protected faith from Sharon's emotional instability. To go back on that now, I don't understand why.
Nick: Look, there have been years of faith going back and forth between me and Sharon. This is not joint custody. This is one night a week. Avery, I've been keeping an eye on Sharon, and she's different now. In fact, she's doing a lot better, especially now that she's with...
Avery: Now that she's with Dylan.
Nick: Look, our exes make this a little more complicated.
Avery: Look, my objectivity is intact, if that's what you're worried about. And speaking objectively, what you're saying -- this worries me even more. You're saying that Sharon is more stable when she's with Dylan. Well, what happens if Dylan moves on? What happens if he gets so bogged down in his own business, he can't put all his focus on Sharon? What happens if --
Nick: If you and he get back together?
Avery: I am not...a factor in this. This is about faith and Sharon and what happens to both of them if Dylan can't or won't keep Sharon on track. The question is what it's always been, Nick. Are you confident in faith's safety when she's alone with Sharon?
Sharon: I'm sure Avery has a whole list of reasons why Nick shouldn't trust me. She probably has spreadsheets laying out for him.
David: Well, Nick is aware of your situation. Whatever Avery has to say is old news.
Dylan: Can you give us a second?
Sharon: Great. Even my attorney thinks my history's gonna come back to haunt me.
Dylan: But he also said if the parents agree, the mediator would sign off on it.
Sharon: But are Nick and I really in agreement still? Avery has been out of town. Now she's back, and she's probably giving Nick an earful. You know, Nick goes back and forth on trusting me as it is. Maybe he's looking for a reason to get out of this agreement. And he trusts Avery's opinion. He'll do what she says.
Dylan: Right, but this meeting is happening because Nick agreed, okay? We're halfway there. Don't worry about Avery.
Sharon: Well, I have to. I made her life miserable for several months. I used faith against her and tried to get in between her and Nick, and that was all before I sent that text message saying it was from you.
Dylan: Well, maybe she doesn't see it like that.
Sharon: [Chuckles] She would have to. I mean, I got back together with Nick after she left him. Now you and I are together. It's got to drive her crazy. I mean, I'm sure it's fine for her to move her ex-husband back in with her, but the idea of you and I being together -- I'm sure she's not about to let that happen.
Dylan: Do you think Avery's the reason I haven't moved in?
Sharon: Is she?
Avery: I'm sure Dylan has the best intentions with Sharon. He's a loyal man. But even he can be pushed, and Sharon is known for sabotaging relationships. What happens to faith then?
Nick: Sharon can be her own worst enemy, but Dylan seems to have a lot of compassion and patience with her. I keep thinking he's gonna hit his limit with her, but he never does. I mean, he stood by her when she was charged with two homicides. Now, maybe it's Dylan's own demons, but he seems to accept Sharon exactly who she is.
Avery: Yeah, well, he's a world-class rescuer, and Sharon is his latest rescue mission.
Nick: And you seem happy about that.
Avery: I'm fine about it, Nick.
Nick: I know the breakup's pretty recent, so if you want, I can take this meeting on my own.
Avery: No. You're not going alone. I'm your attorney. I can handle a simple mediation. And my focus is not on Dylan and Sharon and their relationship. It's on you and your peace of mind and faith's security. Sharon is who she is, regardless of who she's involved with. And romances -- they come and go. And your child's safety shouldn't hinge on one. Shall I see you at Sharon's?
Nick: Uh, yeah. I'll, uh -- I'll be right behind you.
Avery: Okay. I'll see you there.
Nick: Okay.
Sage: Bye, Avery.
Avery: Bye.
Nick: Well, you don't look green around the gills. That's progress.
Sage: Avery got to you, didn't she? Sharon's mistakes are getting in the way.
Chelsea: Okay, yes. Victor is the ultimate alpha male, but what is it? Is it like a macho thing? Like, you all need to get together do the -- the gorilla chest-bump, thing?
Adam: Gorilla chest -- I-I don't know what you're talking about. We could probably participate in some of that. It sounds fun.
Chelsea: Stop it! I am being serious. I don't understand. How does Victor manage to make all of you guys so...crazy?
Adam: Because he's, you know... look, I hardly know the guy.
Chelsea: You had a very intense look in your eyes. The same look Adam used to have. He was obsessed with beating Victor. And Victor was obsessed with crushing Adam. I mean, even at the very end, he was blackmailing Adam so he could spend more time with Connor.
Adam: He seems like a real sweetheart. And for some reason, you don't seem to have a problem with the guy, though.
Chelsea: Well, because he would do anything for his grandson. He loves Connor, so I have learned to allow Victor into my life for the sake of my son.
Adam: All right. I'll -- I'll keep that in mind. I mean, if you can, uh, tolerate the guy, then I can tolerate him, okay? I'll call a truce with Victor.
Chelsea: I've heard that one before.
Adam: Listen, what did I tell you? I can't be Adam, okay? But I'll tell you what I can do. I can be better than he was for you. All right?
Chelsea: There you go again. You sounded like him. Adam always strived to be better than he was. But that's not the point.
Adam: What's the point?
Chelsea: My point is stop talking about him. Stop thinking about him. Stop trying to take his place in my life or Connor's life or Victor's battles. Be you. Don't be Adam. Okay? Can you just trust the both of us and...be yourself with me for once?
Victor: Enough games. You're here to do a job.
Marco: I serve at the pleasure of the king, right?
Victor: You bet. You and I have a deal. You abide by that deal or else it's terminated. Do you understand?
Marco: All because you didn't want to play a little guessing game. Okay. Too bad. That would have been fun.
Victor: Stop this BS. You know who Gabriel Bingham's father is?
Marco: Yes. It came up in conversation.
Victor: Oh. That means he trusts you. Or rather, he trusts Jack. Are they friendly?
Marco: Evidently, their relationship goes a little deeper than that. See, as it turns out, Jack is his father.
Dylan: Me not moving in here is -- is about me. It's not Avery, okay? I just -- I just want to do things right, one step at a time, for both our sake.
Avery: Am I early?
Sharon: David's just now checking with the mediator.
Avery: Yeah, I'll -- I'll wait outside.
Dylan: No, no, no. Avery, if you have a-a second... please. Sharon, do you mind?
Sharon: No. I'll just, um -- I'm gonna get ready.
Avery: So, you're picking out dresses now. You two really do consult on everything.
Dylan: Sharon is nervous about today, obviously.
Avery: But you're not. You're completely comfortable here.
Dylan: I do, uh, spend a lot of time here as a guest.
Avery: Good. That's great.
Dylan: Avery, if there's things that we need to talk about, we can. Okay? I just want to make sure our situation doesn't affect what happens here today.
Avery: You're suggesting that I would act unprofessionally?
Dylan: No, I'm just saying that you're human.
Avery: Oh, thank you. Thank you so much, Dylan. Wow.
Dylan: There's no way around the fact that this is difficult, okay? I know you have reasons to resent Sharon. I'm not telling you not to do that, but what happens here today -- we just have to be fair to faith.
Avery: I completely agree with that. The child has been bounced around with very little continuity in her life. She's watched her mother spinning out, running off, and just behaving unpredictably. You know, the judge already granted Nick full custody, so what's changed? How is Sharon suddenly so trustworthy?
Dylan: Oh, you mean like Joe, who weaseled his way back into your life, into your -- into your house? And you're talking -- you're talking to me about trustworthy?
Avery: Well, who's making this personal now, Dylan?
Dylan: Joe sucked you in, and you can't see what he's doing because you're too close.
Avery: Says the man who insists that Sharon is so strong and noble. Do you realize you're the only one who thinks that? The rest of us know exactly what she's capable of, especially Nick.
Nick: The thing is, I do worry when faith is alone with Sharon. I wish I didn't have to. I wish I didn't have to worry that something could go wrong, but more often than not, it does.
Sage: Was I wrong to suggest that you ease up on the restrictions?
Nick: No. You see things from a different angle. You told me how you feel, and that's exactly what I needed to hear.
Sage: Even if I'm wrong?
Nick: [Chuckles] It's not about being right or wrong when you're a parent. I mean, everybody knows the big stuff -- the loving them, the caring for them, the feeding them. But honestly, it's the little things that will drive you crazy. I mean, there are a million things you can do wrong every day. Look, I hear you and I hear Avery. It's just... it's not an easy situation.
Sage: Well, I'm not a mom, yet. It's a long way off, but I know that if it were my child, I'd want a second chance.
Nick: Are you worried?
Sage: I'm worried you're gonna be late. Get out of here. Go on. Keep me posted.
Nick: All right. Now, you're gonna be here all alone.
Sage: Mm-hmm.
Nick: You want to call in some backup?
Sage: Oh, no. I'm good. This delicious remedy seems to do the trick.
Nick: It must have.
Sage: [Chuckles] Hey.
Nick: Look, this baby, our baby is lucky to have you. Every kid should grow up with the love this one's gonna have.
Sage: [Sighs]
Adam: Truthfully, sometimes I feel like I've been a lot of different people in my life. [Chuckles] Just -- I guess I'm sort of figuring it out as I go.
Chelsea: That's one of the weakest dodges I've ever heard. And it's a lie.
Adam: You just told me that I pretend to be other people. I agreed with you. How's that a lie? [Chuckles]
Chelsea: Because you know who you are. Because you know who you're hiding.
Adam: Who's that?
Chelsea: I mean, all I keep hearing about is this Gabriel Bingham from the past, this total playboy party animal. I've never met that guy. [Chuckles] The Gabe I know is moody and dark and demanding. Funny, yes, but darkly funny, not goofy funny. Affectionate but distant. So, what is it, unless you're pretending to be Adam again?
Adam: What do you want -- what do you want from me? What are you trying to do?
Chelsea: What? I just want -- I just want the truth.
Adam: So, I told you the truth.
Chelsea: No, no, but it was som-- like with Billy. I mean, he was a playboy party animal, and then he changed. Something terrible happened, and he changed. He lost Delia, and he changed. He became softer and -- and more thoughtful. He became quiet, he became more honest when he was hurting inside.
Adam: Yeah. No, he -- he became so honest that -- that he tried to humiliate you and destroy you at your own wedding. That's a hell of a guy, and now I'm actually sort of losing track. Am I -- am I pretending to be Billy now? Or is it Adam that I'm pretending to be? I'm -- I'm having trouble keeping score.
Chelsea: I don't understand why you're getting upset. I'm just saying maybe something awful happened to you in your past that changed you. Maybe you -- you know, when you lost your dad or -- or growing up in his shadow and him never -- never seeing who you really are.
Adam: This is -- I am me. This is me! Look, Chelsea, you're the one -- you have a million reasons why we can't be together, okay?
Chelsea: That's not true.
Adam: Yeah, it is true. 'Cause this is bigger than you want it to be. It's so big that you -- you managed to create a situation where you're hiding behind your dead husband. Now, I'm not gonna be compared to that idiot Billy Abbott, and I can't compete with a ghost, can I? Adam's gone. I want to be with you. I do. And when you're ready to move on... come find me.
[Door opens, closes]
Victor: Gabriel Bingham is Jack Abbott's son?
Marco: And you didn't know. Wow. Score one for Jack. I mean, the signs were all there. He and Gabe are bosom buddies the moment Gabe comes to town. In no time, he's working at Jabot. Shortly after that, he feels entitled to the COO. Position. I guess blood is thicker than water.
Victor: So, was it blackmail or an agreement that got him the job?
Marco: I don't know. Jack certainly seemed open to bringing him on board. Well, I don't know how it happened. Maybe Jack slept with the late Mrs. Bingham and she never told him about the kid or didn't tell him it was his or...maybe Jack knew all along.
Victor: And he told no one?
Marco: Respect for the living, respect for the dead, who knows? You told me he already has a kid he barely acknowledges.
Victor: That son's name is Keemo.
Marco: Keemo?
Victor: Uh-huh.
Marco: What the hell kind of name is that?
Victor: [Chuckles]
Marco: Well, if he's got one, he could have two, right? I could dig a little more if you want me to nail down some details.
Victor: No. You've already caused enough trouble.
Marco: Wait. Why are you saying that?
Victor: You told Ashley Abbott to keep an eye on Gabriel Bingham. Now, what if she digs and uncovers something we don't want her to know? How are we gonna deal with that?
Marco: I have been a paragon of discretion.
Victor: Oh, really? And you claim you did no harm to my granddaughter's husband or to my grandson's fiancée?
Marco: I did not. The feds have moved on. I am not a suspect.
Victor: You better not be.
Marco: Come on. Give me a little credit here. I came to you with this Gabriel Bingham news. That shows I'm a team player, right?
Victor: You had better be a team player.
[Door opens]
[Music playing distantly]
Marisa: What are -- Marco. It's you. Marco.
Chelsea: Hey, Ashley. I was ho--
Marco: Ashley isn't here, sweetheart. Will I do?
Chelsea: Yeah, actually. I'm glad you're here, Jack. Um... I want to apologize for missing the meeting this morning.
Marco: Not an issue.
Chelsea: No, I mean, it's not okay. You need to know that this job is a priority of mine.
Marco: I'm the guy that just doubled your budget. You don't have to prove anything to me.
Chelsea: I do. I-I think I need to prove something to everybody that works here.
Marco: Listen to me, gorgeous. You're a creative type. We expect you to think outside the box. We don't expect you to punch a time clock.
Chelsea: Explain to me again how you and Ashley are siblings. She is so by-the-book. And she resents the fact that you didn't give that money to hex. She warned me that she'll be watching me.
Marco: Protecting Abbott interests. I've told her time and again that is my job. Her job is the lab. I hope Ashley doesn't live to regret her choices.
Marisa: I thought you were dead. I thought you were gone. How -- how did you get here?
Jack: This is a trick. They're torturing me. You're --
Marisa: Shh. No trick. It's me, Marisa. Who did this to you?
Jack: Marisa.
Marisa: It's me, my love.
Jack: You have to get me out of here. I can't explain it right now, but you have to help me. You have to get me free.
Marisa: Yes, yes. Of course. There must be tools.
Jack: No, no, no. We don't need tools. This deckhand has a key.
Marisa: Okay. Then I know how to get them.
[Door closes]
Sage: Ah, geez. Please stop for just a little while, okay? Whew. Oh! Victor. I didn't see you there. How you doing? You just missed Nick. Sorry about that.
Victor: I came to see you.
Sage: Oh.
Victor: You all right?
Sage: Yeah, I'm -- I'm good. Uh, nick's cure-all remedy is doing the trick.
Victor: Oh, yeah? He taking care of you and the baby?
Sage: He sure is.
Victor: Mm-hmm. Well, a child couldn't have a better father.
Sage: Well, that's what I told you at the party right after you implied that I was a gold digger.
Victor: I implied that?
Sage: Yes, you did.
Victor: No. My goodness. How could I?
Sage: No offense taken.
Victor: So, tell me about Gabriel Bingham.
Avery: Joe needs support during his recovery -- recovery from an accident that I caused.
Dylan: What about his friends in Chicago? He can't lean on them?
Avery: Why do you care who he leans on?
Dylan: Because you are one of the smartest people I know, downright brilliant, and watching you get conned by this guy just rubs me the wrong way.
Avery: Well, now you know how I feel watching you get sucked in by Sharon.
Dylan: [Sighs]
Avery: You keep insisting she's such a wonderful person, a wonderful mother. Yet you have to watch her like a hawk to make sure she doesn't lose it. So which is it, Dylan? Is she mother of the year or a train wreck waiting to happen?
David: May I introduce ms. Lahey, the mediator?
Lahey: I thought you all had already come to an agreement regarding the child.
Avery: No. We're not... I'm Nick Newman's attorney, Avery bailey Clark.
Dylan: I'm Dylan McAvoy. I'm Sharon's friend and faith's uncle. And, uh, everybody here just wants what's best for faith.
Avery: Yep. No question.
Dylan: For the record, what's best for faith is to be with her mother.
Lahey: Let me state I have reservations about this amendment to the custody agreement. I read the court transcripts from the recent case. Sharon, your outburst indicates your issues aren't resolved.
David: Well, hardly the first emotional outburst in a custody hearing, ms. Lahey.
Avery: The judge agreed to sole custody for a reason.
Lahey: And yet, Nicholas, you seem to have changed your mind about allowing faith more time with her mother. Is that true?
Nick: I just want my daughter safe and happy.
Lahey: So, you're no longer worried about your child's safety with her mother?
Nick: It's one night a week, and we live on the same property.
Lahey: Then you are concerned.
Nick: Kids don't get to pick their parents. They're stuck with us and our mistakes. Sharon has made her share of hers. I've certainly made mine. It's only one night, and it would mean the world to faith.
Avery: Just to be clear, you're perfectly confident with faith being alone with Sharon?
Dylan: Sharon and faith won't be alone. I'll be here with them.
Sage: Didn't we already do this? You already asked me about my marriage to Gabriel.
Victor: And the inheritance you walked away from. That was very noble.
Sage: Yeah, it's not that big of a deal. I just didn't care anymore.
Victor: Or one could simply say you traded up.
Sage: [Laughs] Traded up. That's funny. Yeah, if -- if men were cars or horses.
Victor: So, tell me what you know about Gabriel Bingham and his father.
Sage: Didn't you ruin his father's business?
Victor: Harrison Bingham was a rather poor businessman, you know. But I didn't come here to discuss that. You're avoiding the question. What do you know about Gabriel's relationship to his father? I mean, are they close?
Sage: Why do you care?
Victor: Why is it you don't want to talk about it?
Adam: Well, this can't be good. Tell you what, Victor -- why don't you back off?
Chelsea: From where I'm sitting, your sister's got a pretty great life. What do you think she should regret?
Marco: I worry about Ashley. You got to live life, right? I mean, this mishap with the car reminded me of that. I got my house in order. I got my priorities straight. Hopefully, it won't take a bonk on the head for the same thing to happen to Ashley.
Chelsea: She resents me for what I did to your brother. You've never held that over my head. Why don't you?
Marco: Have you read nothing about me?
Chelsea: [Chuckles]
Marco: It's a long trail of mistakes behind me. I even shock myself sometimes. You know what? People do things they wish they didn't do.
Chelsea: You know, I never meant to hurt your brother. I-I don't know why I did what I did.
Marco: You just got lured in by that creep.
Chelsea: Oh, no. Gabe -- he's not a creep.
Marco: Then it was romantic. It wasn't just sexual.
Chelsea: [Chuckles] You tricked me.
Marco: It wasn't that hard. Listen, Billy's my brother. Gabriel...is my friend. If you care for him, who am I to judge? And you do, obviously, don't you?
Chelsea: I do. I mean, I-I tried to fight it, but...
Marco: But you couldn't.
Chelsea: [Sighs] No. I still can't. But, I mean, it's not -- it's not like what I had with Adam. I mean, nothing will compare to that, but...
Marco: No, of course not.
Chelsea: But Gabriel -- he's -- he's confusing and... infuriating. He's demanding, but then he, like, pulls back. And then he'll be open and giving, but then he'll shut down. He's making me crazy.
Marco: So, he's nothing like Adam, then? Chelsea, once you've loved that deeply and lose it too soon... it always has a claim on your heart.
[Music stops]
[Indistinct shouting]
[Gunshot]
[Woman screams]
[Water splashes]
Jack: No! No!
Victor: Protective of your ex-wife? Does Chelsea know?
Adam: [Chuckles] What do you want, Victor?
Victor: You've been handed a rather high position at my company. I like to find out as much as I can about my executives.
Adam: Does that include badgering a pregnant woman? It's a classy move, I got to tell you. I think your son Nick would probably agree with that, right? Is he around, Sage? Maybe you should leave before he gets back, Victor.
Victor: You cut the crap. Next time I see you, you tell me about your father, all right?
Adam: You okay? Come here. Come here. Let's get you a seat.
Sage: I'm okay. Thank you.
Adam: Yeah?
Sage: I'm good. Nick warned me about Victor. He said, "duck and cover." I thought I could handle him because I'm an idiot.
Adam: You're not an idiot. You're all right, okay?
Sage: Victor was asking about you and your relationship with your father, how close you are. Present tense. What if he knows something? If Nick finds out that I lied to him, that I lied to everyone...
Dylan: Sharon and faith -- they have a very special bond, and Sharon is completely present with her daughter, focused on faith's well-being. And the way faith loves -- loves her mom -- it's just --
Avery: It isn't an issue of faith's love. It's an issue of Sharon's stability.
Dylan: Yeah, okay, but here's the thing. The Sharon I see is stable. I know you don't always see it that way, Nick, and I totally understand, but I can promise you this -- that when Sharon and faith are together, she is invested, she's protective, and she's nurturing -- everything that faith needs from her mom. So to me, you know, one night a week is the least they deserve together.
Lahey: When you said you'd be here, you mean the nights faith is here, you'd be present?
Sharon: Faith isn't his responsibility.
Dylan: No, she's not. She's not. Not legally. But I want to be here. I think the three of us are good together. Actually, Sharon and faith were my first friends when I came to Genoa city. I was doing some work here at the house, and, uh, faith was my assistant. And I could see their bond then. They mean a lot to me, and I'm committed to being a part of Sharon's life and whatever comes with it.
Lahey: And are you comfortable with this arrangement?
Nick: You know, uh, Dylan is faith's uncle. And I've seen the way faith dotes on him and the effect Dylan has on Sharon, so... yeah, this works for me. In fact, this might be the only way that I'm completely comfortable with the overnight.
Lahey: Then I will tell the judge you agree with the stipulation the child's uncle be present to supervise.
Dylan: And not because Sharon needs backup but because I want to be here.
Marco: Well, get yourself set up here. Do your design magic. I will get out of your hair.
Chelsea: Are you sure?
Marco: Yeah, I have someplace I have to be.
Chelsea: Thank you.
Marco: For getting you to work?
Chelsea: For understanding about Adam. It's exhausting sometimes, you know, how much people still hate him. He's gone, but they just can't let him rest in peace. But you and I -- we -- we know a different side to him.
Marco: Adam is and always will be very important to me.
Chelsea: Jack. I'm sorry. About the woman you lost. I-I didn't realize. You understand about the whole unforgettable love thing.
Marco: Yeah.
Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. You had a visitor. I won't be betrayed. They paid the price. So will you, Marco.
Jack: Oh, God. You didn't kill the --
Time to move on.
[Door closes]
Jack: [Groans]
[Horn sounds]
Marisa: Remember what you used to say, Marco? The situation is hopeless but not serious.
Sage: That's a smile. You did it, didn't you?
Nick: If you mean I agreed to one night a week for faith with Sharon, yes.
Sage: They're gonna be so happy.
Nick: Yeah. Are you hitting the cure-all sauce again?
Sage: [Chuckles]
Nick: Did the morning sickness come back?
Sage: Yeah. That or your father came by to pay me a visit.
Nick: Of course he did.
Sage: Yep.
Nick: Of course he did. Let me guess -- to hire his unborn grandchild to Newman-Abbott? The company's newest VP?
Sage: Maybe next week that'll happen.
Nick: I'm so sorry.
Sage: Hey, I told you not to apologize for him, ever.
Nick: It's a force of habit. Did he bother you?
Sage: No, he was just true to form of how you explain him. But anyway, tell me about the mediation. Was it calm?
Nick: You know, I agreed to one night a week at Sharon's place for faith, uh, with the stipulation that Dylan is there.
Sage: Dylan?
Nick: Yeah. It's like a backup plan, really a failsafe. I think it's a good idea.
Sage: Whose idea was it, yours or Sharon's?
Nick: Actually, Dylan volunteered, and I like it. Because you know how I feel. It makes me nervous when faith is alone with Sharon. But with Dylan there... I trust my brother will keep things under control.
Sharon: I mean, I know it's only for one night, but still, faith is coming home. And you know what? It could turn into two or three down the line. We could be one of those other families with shared custody. You know this is all because of you.
Dylan: No. No, I'm just along for the ride.
Sharon: But Nick would have never agreed to this if you hadn't said you'd be here.
Dylan: Yeah, I could see that he was reluctant, so I thought I'd make the offer to see if he'd change his mind. Whatever it takes to get faith back in the house.
Sharon: It isn't really fair to you, you know? You're kind of forced into this.
Dylan: [Chuckles] Forced? It's not like I don't get anything out of it. Come on. I get an unlimited supply of cookies, and I get glitter all over my clothes when you do crafts. What else could a guy ask for?
Sharon: You said you wanted to take things slow.
Dylan: Did you hear me? I want to be with you. I'm in this. I'm not going anywhere.
Marco: There's no more time. I have to go.
Marisa: Then I will go with you.
Marco: No, no, no, no. If they find me, I am dead. I can't let them hurt you, too.
Marisa: And if they don't find us, we live...together.
Marco: No. You stay here. You'll be safe. Forget me.
Marisa: Like you'll forget me? [Sighs] There will never be anyone else, only you.
Jack: I thought you were gone. I thought you were de-- oh.
Marisa: Not me.
Jack: The deckhand?
Marisa: The captain suspected he'd been betrayed. But he was wrong about the betrayer.
Jack: So -- so free me. Here. Here. Here. Give me the key.
Marisa: Not yet.
Jack: What do you mean? Why?
Marisa: Many years have gone by. I have many questions. I want answers, Marco. We are not going anywhere until you tell me what I need to know.
Adam: Hello, Victor.
Victor: Hello, Gabriel.
Adam: I'm gonna ask you a favor. Leave Sage alone, okay? If you've got a problem with me, you can come right to me. You know where to find me. All right? You talk to me. You don't mess with her. Sound good?
Victor: You feeling you're owed, son? I wasn't messing with her, all right? I wanted some information from her. She gave me some answers.
Adam: What information? What did she say?
Victor: Feeling nervous?
Adam: Mm, nope. I don't really get nervous. I'm, uh, curious.
Victor: Really?
Adam: Curious to know what she would say that, uh -- that would mean anything to you.
Victor: Mm-hmm. It's what she didn't say that convinced me that she's holding on to some secret.
Adam: What secret?
Victor: About your father.
Adam: My father. I see. Okay, so -- so it's not enough that you're responsible for his death. Now you've got to desecrate his memory. Is that what's going on here?
Victor: Harrison Bingham is not your dad. I know who you are. I know who your father is. Next time, do a better job covering your tracks.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Neil: I do know something that would help me to heal.
Nikki: What?
Neil: Revenge.
Kevin: Am I the only one here interested in finding justice?
Paul: No. You are the only one under arrest.
Sage: Oh! The baby, the baby! Aah!
