Episode # 10677 ~ Adam makes a risky maneuver.

Provided By Suzanne

Jack: [Groans]

Kelly: Don't worry. You'll get your sea legs soon enough welcome aboard the S.S. Misery. [Chuckles] What's the matter? No greeting? No friendly smoocherino?

Jack: How -- how --

Kelly: How -- how -- how am I doing? Oh, I'm doing pretty darn good, no thanks to you.

Jack: I saw for myself you're -- you're gone. You're dead.

Kelly: Jack... do you really think it'll be that easy to get rid of me?

Marco: If you would just give me a moment, I will explain.

Ashley: How? How can you possibly explain this to me? You want me to take a meeting with Chelsea after you gave her all of that money for her two fashion lines and you gave me nothing for hex?!

Marco: I realize it sounds unfair at first --

Ashley: Why are you rewarding her? I want to know. Why did you give this project to Gabe? These are two newcomers. They've barely gotten their feet wet at Jabot, and I want to know why.

Marco: Don't disagree --

Ashley: You promised me that you were not gonna blindside me anymore. I'm doing my damnedest. I really am. I'm trying so hard to support you with this dubious merger. But you know what? You're not making it easy, Jack, and I'm done.

Marco: No. Wait, wait, wait. Ash, ash, I need you. That's why I asked you to sit in on this meeting with Chelsea. I need you to take a more active role on that side of things.

Ashley: What the hell does that even mean?

Marco: Where miss Lawson and Mr. Bingham are concerned, there is a method to my madness.

Victor: Is that so?

Stitch: Rah!

Abby: Aaah!

Stitch: Whoa! Whoa, whoa! Hey. It's --

Abby: Oh, my God.

Stitch: It's me. It's Ben -- "stitch."

Abby: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

Stitch: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to freak you out.

Abby: No, no, no. It's okay. You were just trying to be cute. I'm just a little jumpy with all the recent murdering.

Stitch: Okay. There's no reason to be, all right? Not anymore. The killer's dead.

Abby: Well, that's not what Kevin says.

Stitch: Kevin? What are you talking about?

Abby: He thinks that the whole Tobias thing is a little too convenient.

Stitch: How?

Abby: Finding all the incriminating evidence in his apartment. Kevin's afraid that Tobias was set up and that the real killer is still out there.

Stitch: Okay. Why am I just hearing about this now?

Adam: Hey. You still live here.

Chelsea: It hasn't been that long since I've seen you.

Adam: It's been long enough. I started to get a little worried about you. You look great.

Chelsea: Are you just hanging out here in the hall on the off chance that I'll show up?

Adam: No. Maybe. I don't know. Everyone needs a hobby. Why -- why have you been avoiding me?

Chelsea: I'm not avoiding you. I've been busy.

Adam: Busy? Too busy to return my calls?

Chelsea: You try working full-time and being a single parent.

Adam: It sounds tough. Um, you know, if you need help with him from time to time, I can watch him. He's adorable. I don't -- I don't mind.

Chelsea: Don't you have work you have to do? I just dropped him off at daycare, and I have a very busy day planned, so if you'll excuse me --

Adam: I tell you what -- why don't you just hear me out? Okay? I promise I won't slow you down. I'll talk really, really fast.

Chelsea: You threw me with all the things you had to say the other day.

Adam: You mean when I told you I could prove that Adam wasn't the only great love of your life?

Chelsea: I don't see how you could ever prove that.

Adam: Why don't you give me a shot?

Abby: I didn't say anything about it before because it's a whole bunch of nothing.

Stitch: It doesn't sound like nothing to me.

Abby: Oh, please. We are talking about information that came from Kevin.

Stitch: Yeah?

Abby: Yeah. Mr. Plato sphere, Mr. "Kingdom beyond"? Please. The guy has a crazy imagination, and he finds conspiracies in everything.

Stitch: Okay, but what if there's something to this one?

Abby: There's not. Look, he wants to have a mystery to solve, and since there's not one, he's gonna find one. And besides, it gives him another excuse to hack in to another computer. You know, I swear, if he paid half as much attention to a woman as he did his hard drive, he might actually have a social life other than her. My point is that I never should have listened to him in the first place.

Stitch: I'm glad you did, because if there's a possibility that the killer's still out there roaming the streets, you could be a target, which means I'm gonna be watching your back.

Abby: Mm.

Stitch: Yeah.

Abby: Just my back?

Stitch: [Chuckles] You know what I mean. I'm afraid I'm gonna be on you 24/7.

Abby: Oh. I like the sound of that.

Stitch: Good, 'cause I'm serious.

Abby: So am I. I missed all of your attention.

Stitch: Yeah. Well, you've got it now. Mm. Mm. Hey, what are you doing? What are you doing?

Abby: Do I have to spell it out for you?

Stitch: I-I mean, shouldn't we find a place a little less public?

Abby: Oh, what's the fun in that?

Stitch: [Chuckling] Ohh.

Chelsea: You have two minutes to state your case.

Adam: Two minutes to state my ca-- I was actually talking more along the lines of showing you how wonderful we could be together, not like a sales-pitch-type situation.

Chelsea: I thought you told me you were a good salesman.

Adam: I'm good, yeah.

Chelsea: So, start pitching. You got 1:50 now.

Adam: 1:50? Are you serious? Okay. This is a lot of pressure. Um, okay. So, the thing is, um, I looked across the room, and I saw you, and I remember thinking to myself, "my God, man, that is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my entire life," and I don't know what happened, but we just had an immediate connection and we were drawn to one another. It was the same thing that's happening right now with you, right? Chelsea, look -- I can't explain it, okay? But something happens when we're together, and I feel like instead of fighting it, we should embrace it. Contrary to public opinion, I do smile, okay? I smile quite often. I'm a pretty fun guy. I'm a barrel of laughs. I'm a regular jokester. I don't eat with my hands. I don't snore. I won't hog the remote. I'm gonna hold an umbrella over your head when it rains, so I'm a gentleman. That's good. I got that going for me. I'm not gonna make you watch football with me. That's ridiculous. Although sometimes it's fun. If you want to do that, we can circle back around to that. And, uh, fashion shows -- I'm great at those. I can go through a whole fashion show without falling asleep -- mostly. I feel like we're really good friends already, you know, and fantastic lovers. We're...fantastic. I mean, fantastic -- like off-the-charts fantastic. And if you give me an opportunity, I would love to walk through this life with you. And I would love to be there for you and Connor if you let me. Did I go over? How much time do I have left?

Chelsea: What? Oh. Um [Clears throat] You have half a minute.

Adam: Oh, half a minute? Okay. I'm actually gonna need more than 30 seconds for this.

Chelsea: Let's hope so.

Ashley: How's Nikki? Jack told me about the intervention.

Victor: Oh, did he?

Ashley: He said it worked. She's going to rehab.

Victor: Yeah, well, she needs some help, and she's gonna get it, you know?

Ashley: That's terrific. I know how difficult that must have been for you.

Marco: And difficult for all of us.

Victor: I do appreciate your support, Ashley, but if you don't mind, I'd like a few words alone with Jack.

Marco: If this is about Gabe, Ashley doesn't have to leave. Fact is I got a bad feeling about this guy. Something tells me he's not being totally honest with us about his intentions, and I'd like to get to the bottom of it.

Ashley: Well, that's interesting. You had such high hopes for him in the beginning.

Marco: Well, since then, there's been some questionable behavior.

Ashley: Oh, you mean the fact that he slept with your brother's fiancée?

Marco: He is not a team player. I think Victor would agree. Am I right?

Victor: I have my concerns, yes.

Marco: That's why I got behind Chelsea's new lines. Yes, I think it's in the best interest of the company, but I'm also appeasing Gabe.

Ashley: Okay. So, you're hoping that they'll both let their guards down so you can get closer and find out what Gabe's really up to?

Marco: Yes. That's the plan.

Ashley: Are you on board with this, Victor?

Marco: Of course, he's on board with this. He made Gabe co-COO with Victoria, for god's sake, and if that isn't buying his trust --

Victor: Let's put it this way. If I hadn't thought he was qualified, I wouldn't have hired him for the position, you know? Now, I think we have talked enough. It's about time to go back to work, hmm?

Marco: Well, we'd love to, except Chelsea is late for the meeting.

Victor: Oh.

Ashley: I'll track her down. Now that I know what you really want, I'll handle it.

Marco: Thank you, Ashley.

Ashley: You're welcome, Jack. I know you need me. I'll be the dutiful sister. But you can't keep playing the family card and then keep making lousy decisions for your family. When you were in that coma, I was by your side. I held your hand. I prayed for your recovery. I also vowed that I would do whatever I had to do. I will fight if you take our father's company in the wrong direction, and if I have to, I will.

Victor: What the hell do you think you're doing?

Jack: I don't understand. How are you here? I thought --

Kelly: You thought I was dead? [Chuckles] Come on. Do I look like a corpse to you?

Jack: I held you. You -- you were gone. Your -- your blood was on my hands. You were cold.

Kelly: Aww. I'm sorry. Did I ruin your manicure? Well, isn't that just too bad? Why don't you think for a second about what it was like for me being gutted and left for dead by my husband? I loved you, Jack, and I thought you loved me!

Jack: I did. I do. I never meant to hurt you.

Kelly: [Laughs] Yeah. Right. The knife just slipped. You're such a liar, Jack. You and that beautiful mouth of yours kissing me one minute and then spewing lies the next, telling me you wanted to spend the rest of your life with me and then sneaking off to this rat-infested cargo ship just to get away from me?! Well, oops -- fail! Here we are, together again, never to be parted, because, you see, Jack, no matter where you are on this earth, I will find you, because you are mine. And you always will be.

Jack: I was wrong, Kelly, from the beginning. I used you to get over Phyllis. I should never have done that. I deserve everything you've done to me, but we can't keep doing this! We keep doing this, one of us -- both of us -- could end up dead! Nothing is worth that!

Kelly: Ha! Well, it is to me.

Jack: No. You don't mean that. That is not the kind of person you are.

Kelly: Well, I am now. And it's all...your...fault.

Jack: No, Kelly. We're not gonna keep doing this to each other.

Kelly: Huh.

Jack: Kelly?

Kelly: You will never be free of me, Jack -- never! [Chuckles] [Laughs]

Jack: Kelly's dead. Kelly's gone. How did this happen?

Kelly: You and I fell deeply, madly in love, and then we said our vows, and it was beautiful. It was a beautiful ceremony, and then after it, we made love all night long, and it was like a dream come true. And I have the proof. See? Our wedding rings. See? Matching rings. You have one, too.

Jack: Our vows.

Kelly: You're remembering the wedding. Our special day... our vows. [Laughs] I was so happy to say, "I take you, Jack." And you said...

Jack: What did I say?

Kelly: I said, "I take you, Jack," and you said...

Both: "I take you..."

Jack: ...Kelly, to be my wife. I love you.

Jack: [Grunts]

[Ring clattering]

[Footsteps approach]

Victor: Are you out of your damn mind, telling Ashley about your suspicions regarding Bingham?

Marco: You would rather Ashley continue to take a hard line with Chelsea, pushing her and Bingham further away? If she can get to the truth about Gabriel, why don't we let her?

Victor: How often have I told you to follow the damn script?

Marco: Altogether too often.

Victor: Then why did you show up at Nikki's intervention?

Marco: Oh, we're not gonna do that again, are we?

Victor: Are you crazy?!

Marco: It was a brilliant performance. Come on. "If you love an addict, a little part of you dies every time they go further out on that ledge." That was brilliant. You know it was.

Victor: It almost sounded poetic. At least you did your homework. You sounded as if you knew what you were talking about.

Marco: I do.

Victor: Oh, really?

Marco: I lived through that myself.

Victor: Well... I'll be damned.

Adam: What do you think? Did I prove my point? Hmm?

Chelsea: You've proven, yes, that we have a connection, sure. But it's gonna take a long time for you to mean anything close to what Adam meant to me, Gabe.

Adam: But you're leaving the door open, right?

Chelsea: I just can't make any promises, you know?

Adam: Look... [Sighs] I know what I'm up against, okay? I know how you felt about him. I can see it every time you talk about him. And as much as I would like to just... take his place... I can't... do that. But I tell you what -- there is one thing I can do for you that Adam was never able to do. I can be the man that never leaves you -- no lies, no omissions. I'm not gonna get myself into a situation that I can't get out of. I will always be there for you, and I will always be there for Connor. And something kind of cool about me -- I don't have any family, right? So, we don't have to worry about a tyrant father acting like a complete maniac or pain-in-the-ass siblings always meddling, trying to get involved. No one's gonna come between us. I'll never let that happen. You've got to believe that, okay?

Chelsea: Oh, no.

Adam: What? You don't believe me?

Chelsea: No, I-I believe you. I-I'm late for a meeting. I completely forgot. I'm sorry.

Adam: Okay.

Chelsea: I got to go. Oh, my God.

[Knock on door]

Adam: Uh...

Adam: Hello.

Ashley: Well, hello to you, too.

Stitch: Oh, wow. That's amazing. Thank you. Ohh.

Abby: Anything for my trusty bodyguard.

Stitch: Yeah?

Abby: Emphasis on "body."

Stitch: [Chuckles] Ohh.

[Both chuckle]

Stitch: Hey, why don't we -- why don't we do something tonight, you know -- something special? Maybe try that gastro pub you've been talking about.

Abby: Are you asking me on a date?

Stitch: Why are you so surprised?

Abby: I don't know. You've just been sort of remote the past couple days.

Stitch: Why -- 'cause I'm not shadowing you anymore now that they found Tobias is the killer?

Abby: No. It actually started before that, at Uncle Jack's merger party. We were talking about how weird my mom had been acting, and then you took off like you were trying to avoid telling me something. But you know what? It's probably all in my head. I'm sorry.

Stitch: Look, don't be sorry. Don't apologize.

Abby: Why shouldn't I?

Stitch: 'Cause you were right. There's something that I didn't want to tell you about your mother.

Abby: Please tell me it doesn't involve you two and another shower.

Stitch: No. Ashley may have admitted that she had feelings for me.

Abby: Okay. Um, let me get this straight. My mom said that she had feelings for you or that she has feelings for you?

Stitch: Had. Had.

Abby: Had?

Stitch: Yeah.

Abby: Okay, as in past tense, as in she was reminiscing?

Stitch: More like she was reminiscing over the fact that it isn't over.

Abby: Oh...my...God! Why the hell did you just tell me that?! I mean, now I'm not gonna be able to look at my mom without knowing that she's lusting after you! Eww!

Stitch: Hey, if you makes you feel any better, what I told you at the party was true, okay? She isn't fighting our relationship. She wants you to be happy.

Abby: Yeah, but her seeing us together -- it hurts her. Seriously, you shouldn't have kept this from me.

Stitch: I was just trying to avoid any more friction between you two, plus I didn't want it to affect what you and I have.

Abby: Yeah, but it does. It changes everything.

Ashley: So, when Chelsea didn't show up for the meeting, I thought I would check on her.

Adam: Check on her or reprimand her?

Ashley: I was concerned.

Adam: Oh. Well, you can blame me. I sidetracked her.

Ashley: Yeah. I can see that.

Adam: She's, uh -- she's upstairs getting changed.

Ashley: Mm. You know what they say about mixing business with pleasure.

Adam: It's the best of both worlds?

Ashley: [Laughs] Only if you can stay objective on the job.

Adam: I don't think that'll be a problem.

Ashley: Well, I have to say, office romances are dicey at best. But, then again, this thing for Chelsea started before you were at Jabot, didn't it?

Adam: Um... she was -- she was with Billy back then.

Ashley: Yeah, I know. That didn't stop you, right? Wow. You must have decided, "she's the girl for me," huh? What was it -- love at first sight?

Adam: Something like that.

Ashley: And then you had Jack hire you so you could be close to her?

Adam: What is this? What -- what is all this to you?

Ashley: It's an amazing story.

Adam: Okay.

Ashley: It is. Okay. Maybe I'm a little jealous.

Adam: Jealous?

Ashley: Yeah! Nobody has ever thrown away their inheritance for me the way you did for Chelsea. Of course, it did end up breaking my brother's heart in the end.

Adam: Look, Billy and Chelsea were never gonna be happy together, okay? I did them a favor. Now Billy can go back to Victoria like he always wanted to. It frees stitch up to be with Abby. Everyone's happy.

Ashley: Well, everybody except me. I mean, because of your cheerleading, Chelsea's career is on the fast track, and I'm just kind of treading water.

Adam: Well, I don't think Jack would have listened to any of my cheerleading if he didn't think it was in the best interests of the business, and as far as Victor's concerned, he just cares about the bottom line.

Ashley: You sound like you've known them forever.

Adam: Well, it doesn't take long to figure them out.

Ashley: Not everybody would agree with that one.

Adam: I'm not everybody.

Chelsea: Am I interrupting?

Ashley: No, not at all. Just shooting the breeze here with Gabe.

Adam: Yeah.

Chelsea: I assume you're here about the meeting. I am so sorry.

Ashley: Yeah. We should probably be alone for a minute and talk.

Adam: Yeah. Uh, tell you what I'm gonna do -- I'm gonna leave you two to it, okay? Enjoy yourselves. Talk to you later.

Chelsea: Okay.

Adam: Okay.

Ashley: We need to sort out some things.

Victor: So, you're an addict? I'll be damned. You kept that so well hidden. So, you're not only a smuggler but you're a user. Wow. Good for you. You'd better be clean now.

Marco: I never said I was the user. It was a woman I was in love with.

Victor: [Chuckling] Oh-ho. Really? You're capable of love?

Marco: I met her in a small village.

Victor: Aww.

Marco: She was hooked by the time I'd met her -- hooked bad, thanks to these local scum who fed her the stuff.

Victor: Oh, my God, the scum. That from the mouth of a man who probably is responsible for the addiction of many an innocent person.

Marco: I never used them. I never mistreated them -- not like these bastards. This woman was beautiful, she was pure, and I fell hard.

Victor: So, where's this love of your life now?

Marco: I helped her escape from the nightmare of this addiction, and we had it good for a while, and then people -- enemies of mine -- found my trail.

Victor: Really? And then, uh, let me guess -- you abandoned her.

Marco: I left -- alone.

Victor: Hmm. Where is she now?

Marco: I don't know. I did what I had to do to protect her. I walked, and I never looked back.

Victor: [Sighs]

Stitch: What your mom said only changes things if we let it. I still feel the same. I'm crazy about you. Constantly think about you. I want a future with you. What happened with Ashley and I -- it was a one-time thing, never to be repeated. It was a mistake.

Abby: Apparently not for my mom.

Stitch: She's a big girl. She'll get over it. She has to.

Abby: You think it's simple, but it's not. [Sighs]

Stitch: Okay. So, what -- we just throw something incredible away because it's difficult?

Abby: No, it's not difficult. It's impossible. I already hurt my niece by being with her husband, and then my sister wasn't thrilled about the two of us getting together the way that we did. I'm not gonna hurt my mom.

Stitch: Hey... you're happy, right? You're glad we're together?

Abby: Of course.

Stitch: How could we be guilty of hurting anyone?

Abby: Gosh, that is such a man thing to say. "If it feels good, then how can it be wrong?"

Stitch: Then enlighten me, okay? How should I think about it? Tell me. I am crazy about you, Abby. Okay? Why would we end that just because someone else's feelings are hurt, you know?

Abby: You may have a point, but I don't think you'd be so persuasive if you weren't so cute. Mm. Work!

Stitch: Oh, right.

Abby: Yeah. We have to be there soon. How am I gonna walk in and look at my mom and pretend that I don't know?

Stitch: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Abby, you have to. Otherwise, it's just gonna make things worse.

Chelsea: I don't need a lecture. I know you resent my fashion lines getting priority over hex.

Ashley: I did resent it. But my brother has his reasons for throwing his support behind you, so I've accepted it.

Chelsea: Since when?

Ashley: Since right now. But I am gonna keep my eye on whatever it is you spend all that money on.

Chelsea: You seriously think I would try to skim some from the top?

Ashley: No. I just don't want to see you waste this opportunity you've been given.

Chelsea: Oh, please. You want to ensure that I fail.

Ashley: That's not true.

Chelsea: The end of Abbott-Newman could potentially mean the resurrection of Jabot. You would kill for that.

Ashley: Look, Chelsea, this issue -- it's not worth going to war over.

Chelsea: I cheated on your brother. Tanking me would be the perfect revenge.

Ashley: Actually, I already see you as the loser, since you chose Gabe over Billy.

Chelsea: That's not exactly how it happened.

Ashley: Oh, you're so right. He actually chose you, didn't he? Wow. He did everything he could to win you over. No wonder you had your head turned -- this handsome man pursuing you so diligently.

Chelsea: It's really none of your business.

Ashley: But it is. You missed the meeting. Now, Gabe claims he can keep personal and professional separate. Can you do the same?

Chelsea: Absolutely. I want to prove to Jack that he was right to have faith in me.

Ashley: Okay. It's good to know who we can rely on.

Marco: I have gone to great lengths to bring everyone together to make you all more comfortable with this merger.

Adam: Good. I'm glad. Is that what, uh -- is that what Ashley's doing with Chelsea right now -- making her more comfortable?

Marco: I certainly hope so. I told her how important Chelsea is to this company.

Adam: Well, I'm glad you finally realize it, Jack.

Marco: So, is Chelsea comfortable with this new arrangement?

Adam: I think so, you know? All anyone ever wants from their employer is to feel appreciated -- that, and a hefty paycheck doesn't hurt, either.

Marco: Yeah. You would know.

Adam: I'm comfortable, for now.

Marco: Good. I'm glad, because I have something I need from you.

Adam: Shoot.

Marco: I need you to make peace with Billy.

Adam: Sure! Yeah, no problem, except the thing is... I'm not doing it!

Marco: I am serious. You're professionals, both of you. There's got to be some way you can work together without wanting to rip each other's throats out.

Adam: Jack, the thing is I stole his fiancée away from him, okay? He's heard me defend the man that he holds responsible for taking his daughter's life. Can you imagine if he found out who I really was?

Marco: Yeah, imagine.

Adam: Now, I tell you what -- I can try not to go off on the guy, but I don't see the point of putting on this fake show of reconciliation that, quite frankly, I don't think anyone's gonna believe anyway.

Marco: You know what? Wasn't too long ago nobody would have believed that Victor and I had become allies.

Adam: That's very true, and, you know, I want to...tip my hat to you. You're doing a hell of a job with that whole olive-branch-to-Victor thing. It's remarkable, especially since I know how much you want to bring him down, and, believe me, I'm right there with you. No one wants to see my father go down in flames more than I do.

Marco: You're gonna have to be smart here, my friend. As much as you want to see your father take a fall, you also care about Chelsea. That is the battle you've thrown yourself into. Am I right?

Adam: Yes. It's actually been more of a battle than I bargained for. Not really easy competing with yourself for someone's heart. You know what I mean?

Marco: Adam Newman casts a long shadow.

Adam: Yeah, I know. You warned me how difficult it would be starting over as Gabriel Bingham, but it's worth it. You know, I would give anything to be Chelsea's husband again, anything to be a father to my son again.

Marco: What I don't like -- "I would give anything." Chelsea is your weakness. Weakness leads to bad decisions. The last thing you want to do is tell Chelsea who you really are.

Adam: You're right. I can't tell her. I've come this close so many times, but Chelsea still blames Adam for Delia's accident. And she holds me -- she holds me responsible for keeping my part in it a secret.

Marco: Well, yeah. And you've been keeping a secret from her for how many months?

Adam: I can't tell her, Jack. Remaining Gabriel Bingham -- that is the only way I'm gonna get what I want. That's the only way I'm gonna get her back.

Marco: Let's hope we both get what we want.

Adam: We will, and when you're ready, you just pull the trigger. You say the word, and I will be right here with you, okay? We will rip this company away from Victor, and you can keep the whole thing for yourself.

Victor: I don't like to be kept waiting. You were supposed to have called me this morning.

I would have if there was any news.

Victor: You mean you have not tracked down Jack Abbott yet?

[Sighs] There is no trace of him on the island. I must be right about him stowing away on one of those unregistered ships that left the other night.

Victor: Ohh. Let me wrap my thought around that. You mean the head of the Abbott family, Jack Abbott, is hidden amongst crates of heroin and cocaine? I love that image. I'm gonna think about that for a long time. Now find him.

These boats travel smugglers' routes, stopping at the most quiet ports of call. They don't want to attract attention. But we can find them.

Victor: How will you do that?

We know the paths they'll take. We can chase them down the coast, then back to Peru.

Victor: Peru?

Yes. Most of the ships are based out of Peru. Is that a problem?

Victor: No, no, no. None at all.

[Chuckles]

[Speaking Spanish]

[Speaking Spanish]

Jack: I-I don't speak Spanish. Um, habla inglés? Do you speak English? My name is Jack Abbott.

Jack Abbott?

Jack: Yes. Yes. I own a cosmetics company in the states. I'm a businessman. It's called Jabot cosmetics.

Cosmetics? Lipstick?

Jack: Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Lipstick.

[Both laugh]

Ah, such a big boss stowing away on my ship.

Jack: I came to the island to get married.

Where is your wife?

Jack: It didn't go exactly as we had planned.

Ah. So why not just fly home, Jack Abbott of the cosmetics?

Jack: Things happened. It didn't -- listen, if you can help get me home, I can make it worth your while. I will pay you.

Pay me? With lipstick money?

Jack: Yes. There's lots of money to be made in lipstick.

Mucho dinero.

Mucho dinero. I know you have a lot of money -- my money, Marco -- and I want it back.

Stitch: Hard at work, I see.

Ashley: Well, yeah. You know me. When I want something, I'm driven. Right now I want hex back on the market bigger and better than ever.

Stitch: Let's get to it, then.

Ashley: Well, first, how was your morning off? Did you guys do anything fun?

Stitch: Yeah.

Abby: No. No, no. We just hung out -- nothing special.

Stitch: Yeah. It was just, you know, we were at the rooftop at the club. We made out by the pool. Even got a massage.

Ashley: That sounds wonderful to me.

Abby: You know what? I can't do this. I can't pretend. I know that you have feelings for Ben.

Oye! Answer me, Marco. Where's my money?

Jack: I'm not Marco. I don't know who Marco is. My name is Jack Abbott. You can call my family. They will wire money --

Panama, 2007. You did me a favor -- moved cash off the boat, so I could sail through the canal. But you disappeared.

Jack: No, no, no. That wasn't me.

People said you were dead. No one could find you. But now fate has put you back onto my ship.

Jack: Okay. Clearly, you lost some money. I will cover whatever losses you took.

You stole a lot more money from a lot more people, Marco. I guess we'll find out if you are worth more dead than live. Lipstick money.

Vamonos.

Jack: [Breathing heavily] No. Wait, wait, wait. Come back. Come back, please. I'm Jack Abbott!

Ashley: I can't believe you. I asked you specifically not to say anything to her.

Stitch: Abby was asking questions. I wasn't gonna lie to her.

Ashley: You got her upset for nothing.

Abby: No, it's not nothing. If you're jealous of me and Ben --

Ashley: Jealous? Come on. Don't flatter yourselves.

Abby: It's obviously bothering you, and we need to talk about it.

Ashley: Can I please talk to him alone for a second, please?

Abby: Fine. Speak privately with Ben, but we are not finished.

Ashley: All right. This is my fault. I never should have said anything. I created more drama than there has to be, and, believe me --

Stitch: Whoa. Hey. Ashley, why are you taking these?

Ashley: I've been having some headaches.

Stitch: This is some serious medication. You want to tell me what's really going on with you?

Ashley: I just told you. Stop looking for trouble.

Adam: How did your little meeting with Ashley go? She didn't seem like she was out for blood for once.

Chelsea: Well, certainly not with you.

Adam: What do you mean?

Chelsea: Oh, just, I mean, the way she was looking at you. She has no respect for personal space.

Adam: Sound a little jealous.

Chelsea: No, I'm not jealous.

Adam: Okay.

Chelsea: It's just, you know, Ashley can sometimes get a little territorial. That's all.

Adam: Okay. Well, this is one territory that she's not gonna get her hands on, okay? You don't have to worry about Ashley or anyone else, for that matter, including Victor.

Chelsea: What do you mean?

Adam: I just had a little meeting with Jack, and he's gonna protect you -- from Billy and from Ashley.

Chelsea: Thank you for always standing up for me, for always having my back.

Adam: Yeah.

Chelsea: I'm grateful that Jack values your opinion.

Adam: Well, he understands me... much more than Victor ever has. What?

Chelsea: Just now... you sounded like Adam.

Marco: Ah. Just the man I've been looking for.

Victor: I have an appointment.

Marco: I think you want to stick around for this. I have the news you've been waiting for.

Victor: And what's that?

Marco: I know who Gabriel Bingham really is.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Dylan: Do you think Avery's the reason I haven't moved in?

Sharon: Is she?

Victor: What do you know about Gabriel's relationship to his father? Were they close?

Marisa: Marco. It's you.
