Episode # 10664 ~ Nick gets unexpected news; Phyllis & Kyle worry about the imposter; Kelly plays games with Jack.

Provided By Suzanne

Sharon: Dylan, please tell me you haven't been waiting here all day.

Dylan: I just -- I wanted to be here when you were officially released.

Sharon: You're really thoughtful. Sorry it took so long. It turns out, there's a lot of paperwork involved in getting out of jail.

Dylan: It's definitely easier going in than getting out.

Sharon: Yeah.

Dylan: Why don't we get you out of here before they change their mind?

Sharon: [Chuckles]

Dylan: Unless, uh, you have a better offer for an escort.

Sharon: No, you are absolutely my best offer. I just can't leave just yet. I'm waiting for them to bring me my personal effects. So, you have plenty of time to make phone calls.

Dylan: Uh, no, I'm good. I just, uh, left a message for Avery, telling her that the charges against you were dropped. I wanted her to know the good news.

Sharon: She might not see it as good news. And a lot of people might agree with her.

Sage: Hey, can I get your signature on this form? I had no idea how much pineapple juice a bar could go through. [Chuckles] Who knew?

Nick: Sure. Here you go.

Sage: Thanks. I'll...send this to the distributor.

Nick: Sage --

Sage: I need to send this now. He -- he nee--

Nick: Whoa.

Sage: Whoa.

Nick: Hey, what was that? You all right?

Sage: Ooh, yeah, uh... just, uh, haven't eaten today. That's all.

Nick: Let me get you something to eat. How about some soup or a sandwich, lots of avocado?

Sage: That's okay. I'll do that later.

Nick: No, you're gonna do it now.

Sage: Is the boss pulling rank?

Nick: Pretty much. I know we're not together right now, but that's not gonna stop me from caring. So let me.

Kelly: Now, this is better, isn't it? Me taking care of you in a gentle, playful manner? So much better than us fighting. Don't you think? And so much better than you stabbing me in the neck with a pen. That hurt. But you know what? I forgive you.

Jack: How did you do it? How did you convince them that I was the crazy one?

Kelly: It sounds like you're implying here that one of us is unstable, and I know you don't mean me. [Chuckles] Let's stop all this silly talk. We got to get you cleaned up.

Jack: For what?

Kelly: For your treatment, silly. Just ask the police. I am your doctor giving you the best care possible. Today we're going to work on your memory.

Jack: My memory is just fine.

Kelly: I know that's what you think, but you're wrong. You've got it all muddled up in your head.

Adam: You rang?

Victor: Yeah. Have a seat.

Adam: No, I'm fine where I'm at.

Victor: Good. Get that chip off your shoulder, will you?

Adam: Chip's fine where it's at, too.

Victor: I've been thinking about you. You're very loyal, you're very dedicated, you've very success-driven.

Adam: Wow. Got to tell you, I sound fabulous. Is that why you brought me over here? Some -- some flattery?

Victor: I think you and I have more in common than you realize.

Chelsea: Hi.

Ashley: Hi. Where you going?

Chelsea: Oh, I have new sketches. I thought I'd drop them off.

Ashley: Well, do you want me to take them in for you?

Chelsea: You know, no matter what Billy thinks of me, I'm not contaminated, Ashley. I'm not tainted. I'm a part of this company, a successful part of this company, and I answer to Victoria.

Ashley: All righty then. Just suit yourself.

Chelsea: [Sighs]

Billy: Yeah, it must have been all that laughing I was doing.

Victoria: Oh, my gosh. You're such a baby. You whine like Johnny.

Billy: Really, I'm --

Victoria: [Laughs]

Billy: I'm okay.

Victoria: You're okay?

Billy: You make everything better.

Phyllis: Check it out, baby. We're married. And you're spending more time in a hospital bed than we're spending in our bed. And I'm starting to feel like you're trying to ditch me, but I know that's not true 'cause I know you love me and I know you can't stand the thought of being without me. I know you want me. So how about you just waking up, okay? Quickly. Right now. Please. Oh, my God. Jack, Jack, Jack. You did it. Oh, my God. Hi, baby.

Jack: Do I know you?

Nick: Eat.

Sage: No.

Nick: Are you really gonna be this stubborn?

Sage: You can't look after me.

Nick: Well, if you'd look after yourself, maybe I wouldn't have to.

Sage: We're not together. That's over. And I'm trying not to think about it and wish for it, but if you keep hovering over me, then I'm gonna think about it and I don't want to do that.

Nick: [Sighs] Look, I don't want to make things rough for you. I really don't. But I care about you, Sage. Right now I got to take care of my family and my relationship with faith, but I'm just not gonna let you fall on the floor and pass out.

Sage: If I pass out, I pass out. Then you won't, you know, have anything to do with that. It's my thing.

Nick: Am I supposed to just step over you?

Sage: [Chuckles] Yeah. Step over me. And then, you know, use your foot to kind of nudge me into the back room.

Nick: Just kind of move you along, yeah.

Sage: [Chuckles]

Nick: [Chuckles] Look, we started out as friends. Aren't we still?

Sage: What I feel for you isn't friendship at all. And I don't want to think about that, so I'm just gonna get this order expedited.

Nick: [Sighs]

Adam: You and I have things in common? I don't see the similarities at all.

Victor: Oh, yeah?

Adam: Unh-unh.

Victor: Huh.

Adam: One thing you did say, though, that's true, I am loyal. I am loyal -- to Jack Abbott. Victor, if you're interested in me playing mediator between the Newmans and the Abbotts because I'm impartial, I'm not impartial. My loyalty is to Jack. Always will be.

Victor: I don't know where the hell this loyalty comes from, but I respect it. As long as the Abbotts respect Jack's wishes for the two families to get along better.

Adam: I don't know if you heard me or not. I said no, and you're still lobbying me to be go-between for you and Jack's family. Don't you have an ex-wife that's an Abbott? You have a daughter that's an Abbott. Use them. I mean, with all that, you still feel like you need me, a guy you barely know?

Victor: Yeah, but somehow, I feel I do.

Adam: Okay, I'll bite. I'll bite. What's in it for me?

Victor: Compensation, you know.

Adam: You talking money? Excellent. Now you got my attention. [Sighs] And a position over Victoria.

Victor: Well, now, you know how much I value family, don't you?

Adam: Afraid we don't have a deal. Uh, good talk. That was fun.

Victor: Do you always act against your own self-interests?

Adam: You know what? I made a deal with the devil once. Didn't turn out well for me, so I won't be doing that again.

Victor: Well, Gabriel, you have a good day, and thank you for coming by.

[Door closes]

Chelsea: Hi. So, I-I know the line is on hold, but I wanted to keep you posted on my progress -- new ideas, growth potential.

Victoria: Thank you.

Chelsea: Are you okay?

Billy: Never better.

Ashley: Everything's great, Chelsea. It's fantastic. I mean, Billy's lip is cut, Jack's unconscious, and Victor's in charge of Newman-Abbott, even though Jack's signature on the contract isn't entirely convincing, but who cares about that, right?

Victoria: Accusations are counterproductive, Ashley. We all know how much Jack wanted this merger.

Ashley: It's interesting that we can't talk to Jack about it, can we? I mean, your father must be so thrilled about that.

Chelsea: Hey, um, maybe you should see a doctor. You might need stitches.

Billy: Thanks, but I'm really fine.

Chelsea: But if you're hurt --

Victoria: Exactly what are you accusing my father of, anyway?

Ashley: I think we know exactly what your father's capable of. Let's not play...games.

Kyle: [Clears throat] All right, everybody open your calendar apps. We need to schedule a meeting with a music company, get a tie-in for the summer tent show.

Ashley: What?

Kyle: Music. A free download. A tie-in to grab the teens.

Victoria: You're doing this all on your own?

Ashley: Well, I guess it's better than playing golf with your father, but, I mean, there are certain channels.

Kyle: Look, I want to report real progress to my dad when he wakes up.

Chelsea: Is there any news?

Kyle: Not yet, but there will be. And we have to be ready.

Phyllis: It's me, your wife. It's Phyllis.

Jack: No, no, no. That -- that can't be right.

Phyllis: Okay, all right, okay.

[Door opens]

Phyllis: All right, baby, just calm down. Dr. Shelby, uh, he's awake, but he's not -- he doesn't know who I am.

Barton: All right, step outside, please.

Phyllis: Okay, no, I'm not going anywhere.

Barton: Mrs. Abbott, please.

Phyllis: [Sighs]

Ashley: Hello?

Phyllis: Uh, he's awake.

Ashley: Oh, thank God. He's awake. How's he feeling?

Phyllis: Dr. Shelby's in with him right now. I think he's experiencing some lingering effects from the medications.

Ashley: We're on our way. Please let him know, okay?

Phyllis: Yeah, I will. If I get a chance, I will.

Barton: Can you tell me your name?

Jack: My name... my name is...

Phyllis: Your name is Jack Abbott. Your name is Jack Abbott.

Barton: Please let him answer for himself.

Jack: Does she need to be here? I don't know her.

Barton: It's important. Don't get agitated. I'm gonna have the nurse bring you something, okay? Outside with me please, Mrs. Abbott. Please.

Phyllis: All right, so this is normal, right? He's gonna be fine in just a few minutes?

Barton: Jack is obviously suffering some level of memory loss.

Phyllis: Yeah, but it's temporary, right? This is what happens when the brain gets bounced around in the skull. He just needs a little bit more time.

Barton: We can only hope so.

Phyllis: So now you're hoping?

Barton: Mrs. Abbott, we don't know anything just yet. But agitation isn't going to help any of us.

Phyllis: What agitation? I'm fine. I'm calm.

Barton: Okay.

Phyllis: I'm calm.

Sharon: Okay. It's done. It's official. The charges have been dropped, papers have been signed. I now have everything I walked in with. And I can't wait to tell the kids.

Dylan: The look on your face.

Sharon: It's just gratitude and relief knowing that this shadow is gone and that Paul and Christine know I didn't hurt anyone.

Dylan: Took them a little time to -- to catch up.

Sharon: Thank you for believing in me when no one else did and for staying with me when I was under house arrest. I mean, for a million things.

Dylan: A million? That's a slight exaggeration.

Sharon: No. It's not. You're really wonderful. But, um, I'm free now, and... you're free, so no more babysitting, I guess.

Dylan: Well, I wasn't really babysitting. I was just being a friend.

Sharon: Yeah. A great friend. So, listen, if I overstepped when I... I mean, you know, when we... it's just that Christine announced the news and...

Dylan: And the kiss.

Sharon: Yeah.

Dylan: Yeah, it was just an expression of relief. I mean, I was there. I felt the same thing.

Sharon: Yeah, so it won't happen again. I just don't want anything to hurt our friendship.

Dylan: Well, that's not gonna happen. Come on. Let's get you out of here.

Sharon: I can't wait.

Dylan: [Laughs]

Nick: Nope, you're done. Go home.

Sage: I'm not done.

Nick: Yeah.

Sage: Oh, I wouldn't eat, so you're kicking me out?

Nick: I'm kicking you right out.

Sage: Why? Are you uncomfortable with me being here? You think about the same things I do, or should I just stick to ordering mixers?

Adam: Wow. Place is jumping.

Sage: Yeah, well, now that you're here, I'm sure the people will flock.

Adam: [Chuckles]

[Cell phone vibrates]

Nick: Oh, I got to take this. Hello?

Adam: [Sighs]

Sage: What are you doing here?

Adam: Came to see you.

Sage: [Chuckles]

Adam: To the pleasure of your company, maybe get a drink. Um, listen, I had an interesting conversation with Victor. He's still trying to make me his ally.

Sage: And you love that, don't you?

Adam: Well, what can I say? Being one up on dear, old dad keeps me warm at night.

Sage: You know he has his jaws locked on this bone. He asked about Gabriel the other day. He's digging for information. You should have stayed under the radar, because messing with your father is gonna come back to bite you.

Nick: Wow, that was Noah. I guess all the charges against Sharon were dropped. They're on their way home.

Adam: Oh, that's great. You know, your kids must be thrilled.

Sage: Yeah, go! Go on! Go!

Nick: Are you seri-- I told you you could take off.

Sage: I know you did, and I stayed, so you're lucky. So go on. Go be with your kids when their mom gets there.

Nick: Okay, uh, yeah, I should be there. Thank you. Uh, I owe you one. And eat something.

Adam: Eat something? He's taking care of you? That's good. That's good. Very sweet. And look at your eyes. They're shaped like hearts when you -- when you talk to him. Why do you do this to yourself?

Sage: Says the man who's chasing his widow. Why don't you remind me. How much does Chelsea hate you for ruining her relationship with Billy?

Adam: Hate is a strong word. I don't know if I would call hate what we were doing.

Sage: That was before you ruined her life. A-again?

Adam: What can I say?

Sage: You and Chelsea had sex again?

Adam: We did, indeed. It was fantastic. She called out my name.

Sage: Okay, I could have done without that image. "Oh, Gabe. Oh, Gabe. Oh! Oh!"

Adam: No, no, no, no. "Oh, Gabe" is what you said. She actually called me Adam.

Sage: I'm sorry. She called out her dead husband's name while you two were...?

Adam: Yeah.

Sage: That's -- that's -- that's progress, my friend.

Adam: No, listen, even though she thinks she's with Gabe, her heart is with me. That's all that matters. That's progress.

Kelly: Nicely done. All right.

Jack: [Coughs]

Kelly: Got to keep you strong and alert.

Jack: For what?

Kelly: Our memory treatment. Duh.

Jack: Okay, what does this test entail? What do I have to do?

Kelly: Hang on now, buddy. Don't get all ahead of yourself. First things first -- you got to remember who you're married to. We got to sort that out.

Jack: Phyllis. My wife is Phyllis.

Kelly: No. Wrong. Try again.

Jack: I can't change reality, Kelly, even to appease you.

Kelly: That just means that you're not trying hard enough. Fortunately... these will help.

Jack: No, I'm not taking any drugs! Not for you or anyone else! I'm not taking them!

Kelly: But you already did. That water you just had? Had a little extra something-something in it.

Jack: Oh, God, no.

Kelly: So, now all you got to do, Jack, is just relax. Relax and let the magic happen.

Jack: Aaaaah! Can't... [Grunts] [Slurring] What's happening to me?

Kelly: It's just the medication, okay? It's -- it's helping you out. It's healing your brain. Look, let's just get back to talking about your wife again, the woman you love.

Jack: Phyllis...and I were gonna...get married on the beach. The storm c-came, and we were in our room, and I-I said I-I-I do.

Kelly: That's good. That's good. That's enough. You got some of it right. Just not the Phyllis part. See, we did go back to our room, and we did say our vows, and a lovely, little man pronounced us husband and wife.

Jack: Phyllis.

Kelly: Okay, look, yeah, once upon a time, a long time ago, there was some chick named Phyllis that you dated for a little while, but then it wasn't meant to be, and then she slipped and fell down a bunch of stairs and hit her head and went into a coma. The end. Amen.

Jack: No. No. She came back to me. She came back.

Kelly: No, she didn't, Jack. She didn't come back because then she was in a coma. She was in a coma. Do you understand? And then she was dead! You and I fell deeply, madly in love. And then we said our vows, and it was beautiful. It was a beautiful ceremony, and then after it, we made love all night long, and it was like a dream come true. And I have the proof, see? Our wedding rings. See? Matching rings. You have one, too. It's proof of our eternal love for one another. See? All coming back to you now, isn't it, Jack?

Phyllis: When I was asking the doctor if the memory loss was temporary --

Ashley: Well, it has to be temporary, right?

Billy: Well, what did Dr. Shelby say? I mean, they must have test results by now.

Victor: Thank you for calling, sweetheart.

Victoria: Yeah, um, Jack can't see anyone yet. And obviously family will go in first, but I knew you'd want to be here.

Victor: Okay. You're right. Kyle, how are you holding up?

Kyle: Considering this is all my fault...

Victor: It's not your fault. I understand there was a phone call and Jack picked it up?

Kyle: It was my phone, so...

Victor: But who was the phone call from?

Kyle: I called back, but it was disconnected. The point is, it was a call to my phone, and I was driving.

Victor: Well, there's no need for you to beat yourself up. He is strong. He'll survive.

Kyle: Yeah.

Billy: Victor, what are you doing here?

Victor: I'm here to see my business partner and my friend, all right?

Barton: Jack is awake. The family can visit, but please, let's keep things calm and quiet. We don't want to agitate the patient.

Ashley: Thank you, doctor.

Billy: Family.

Victor: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Phyllis: Did he remember anything about the car accident?

Barton: No, not yet. But we're still waiting on the test results. But usually these things resolve themselves.

Phyllis: "Usually."

Barton: Well, given the impact of the head injury, sometimes he might not regain memories of the past. And considering the trauma associated with it, forgetting is not a bad thing.

Sage: You're a guy named Gabriel. She's in love with a ghost. That is not progress.

Adam: Okay, you don't understand. You're so hung up on physical connections. This is deeper than that. She sees me for who I am.

Sage: No, she doesn't, 'cause she doesn't know the truth. And since you won't tell her the truth --

Adam: I'm not gonna stand here and take a lecture from somebody who plays puppy dog to Nick.

Sage: You are absolutely right. I have no room to talk.

Adam: You do kind of look like hell, by the way. Maybe you should get something to eat.

Sage: Sounds so much sweeter coming from Nick versus you. And as a matter of fact --

Adam: Chelsea. What are you doing here?

Chelsea: I was hoping to find you, actually.

Dylan: All right, let me get the lights.

Faith: Surprise!

Noah: Surprise!

Mariah: Surprise!

[Laughter]

Sharon: Oh, my gosh! My babies! [Gasps] Ooh! [Laughs]

Faith: I knew you didn't do anything bad, mommy.

Sharon: Oh, thank you, baby. And thank you for knowing mommy so well.

Noah: Hey, we all know you and believe in you.

Sharon: That means the world to me. And look what you've done with the place!

Nick: It was, uh, you know, kind of last minute.

Sharon: No, I love it.

Dylan: It looks really good.

Faith: And we have super-surprise cookies!

Noah: And that is the most important part, so go. Go, go! Go get them! Get them!

Sharon: Um, I know I wasn't gone that long, but it really feels like forever.

Mariah: Well, no more court dates, no more house arrest.

Sharon: But now Paul is going to be looking for the real killer, so anything could happen.

Mariah: Well, no, not tonight. Tonight there's only super-surprise cookies and good news.

Noah: That's right.

Mariah: [Gasps]

Dylan: Wow.

Mariah: There they are.

Sharon: Oh, cookies. Those look so special.

Noah: Which am I going to eat?

Faith: This one's for you.

Sharon: Oh.

Noah: All of these are for me.

Faith: No.

Nick: I'm a jackass.

Dylan: No argument here. What are you -- what are you talking about?

Nick: I doubted Sharon's innocence. I didn't trust your instincts.

Dylan: I just think you were too close to see things, you know. Your first priority was to protect faith, as it should be.

Nick: Can't tell if you're letting me off or calling me out.

Dylan: Neither. Hey, it happens, you know. You had this thing in your head about Sharon, and it got in the way of the truth.

Nick: Yeah, sometimes it's the person you know the best that you actually know the least.

Sharon: Mmm! Best cookie ever!

Mariah: [Laughs]

Noah: They're okay.

Sharon: [Laughs]

Nick: You got one for me there?

Faith: Mm-hmm. You want a half of one or whole?

Adam: Uh, do you want to go somewhere else? We could talk privately.

Chelsea: Uh, no, it's okay. This isn't private. Jack's awake. I thought you would want to know.

Adam: That's fantastic. Thank you. Did you want to go to the hospital?

Chelsea: No, no, you should go by yourself.

Adam: Yeah?

Chelsea: Yeah.

Adam: Okay. All right, thank you. Um, talk soon? Okay.

Sage: Hey, you want a drink? I'll buy.

Chelsea: Oh, uh, that's okay. I'm not really in the mood to drown my sorrows.

Sage: Oh, come on. Everyone's entitled to a little wallowing now and then, especially after --

Chelsea: After being called a tramp at my own wedding. It's okay. What Billy said, he wasn't wrong. So now I just have to focus on moving forward.

Sage: You know, Chelsea... it wasn't all you. Gabriel -- Gabriel made himself more than available. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Chelsea: I can't blame Gabe.

Sage: Yes, you can.

Chelsea: No, I-I saw Billy and Victoria. I assumed the worst, and I... did the wrong thing.

Sage: Well, that was just a reaction. You were hurt.

Chelsea: To be honest with you, I don't think... I don't think deep down I was ready to be a wife again. Billy said a lot of things at the wedding, but a lot of them were true. He brought up Adam and how much I loved him, and that is -- is true. I love that man so much.

Sage: How -- how is this becoming about Adam?

Chelsea: I don't know. He's just been on my mind a lot lately. When you love somebody like that...

Sage: I've just heard so many horrible things about Adam, including what happened to Billy's daughter.

Chelsea: Well, you didn't see the tape, his confession. The pain and the guilt and the sorrow. Adam was a lot of things, but heartless and cold-blooded? No. That wasn't him.

Sage: Okay, that's fine. But he's still gone.

Chelsea: I guess that's why it's almost easier to hold on. It really hurt seeing Billy and Victoria like that, you know, but with Adam... he can never hurt me again.

Kyle: Dad, I'm so sorry about this.

Ashley: Kyle, calm down. Let's not panic. Jack just needs to recover. That's all he needs. It's gonna be okay, Jack.

Billy: Yeah, yeah, it's temporary, you know? We're here for you.

Phyllis: We all love you. Your son.

Kyle: If there's anything that we can do --

Jack: Stop! Stop! All of you get out of here!

Barton: Okay, everyone, he needs his rest.

Jack: They're swarming me.

Phyllis: Jack.

Jack: Enough! No more!

Barton: Okay, that's it. Everyone out of the room, please. It's much too soon. Let's try this again tomorrow. Maybe not all at once. Please.

Phyllis: Okay, I'm his wife. I should be in here with him.

Barton: He'll be asleep soon. What he needs most right now is his rest.

[Door opens]

[Door closes]

[Footsteps approach]

Victor: Good evening.

Jack: And who are you? Some kind of specialist? What do you want me to do?

Victor: You don't know me?

Jack: Okay, I can't play any more guessing games. I need some sleep.

Victor: It's not important that you know who I am. What is very important is that you know who you are -- Jack Abbott.

Jack: Yeah, so everyone keeps telling me. I guess it must be true, right? Or maybe... I'm just somebody you paid to play Jack Abbott. Ha! Gotcha. Pretty good, huh? I'm a better Jack than Jack.

Victor: We're not playing games, okay?

Jack: Oh, relax. I'm making the best of a bad situation. I just had a near-death experience. You could be a little more understanding. I'm merely exploring my options.

Victor: For instance?

Jack: Well, for instance, door number one -- Jack regains his memory and everyone goes rolling merrily back to where we were.

Victor: What about door number two?

Jack: Door number two -- I tell them who I am, that I'm merely a convict you found in a foreign prison and I'm here doing your bidding.

Victor: Not much of a choice, now, is it?

Jack: Oh, but I think it is. And for me to pick door number one, I'm gonna need some incentive. And by incentive, I mean freedom. Freedom to decide which tie Jack is going to wear or how much golf he is going to play. Let Jack be Jack, my friend, and everything's gonna work out just fine. Otherwise...

Victor: You're forgetting something.

Hay siempre puerta número tres. Door number three.

Jack: Our vows...

Kelly: Yes! Good job, Jack! You're remembering the wedding. Our wedding.

Jack: Yeah.

Kelly: Our special day. Our vows. [Laughs] I was so happy to say, "I take you, Jack." And you said...

Jack: What did I say?

Kelly: [Chuckles] I said, "I take you, Jack," and you said...

Both: "I take you..."

Jack: "...Kelly, to be my wife." So pretty.

Kelly: [Chuckles]

Sharon: Dylan? Are you okay? What's wrong?

Dylan: Nothing. Everything's fine. Hell, everything's great. You're a free woman.

Nick: Hey, uh, Sharon, sorry, but the littlest Newman really needs to go to bed, and I need to get back to the underground.

Dylan: You gonna take her back to the tack house?

Nick: Yeah, I wanted to.

Faith: I want to stay with mommy.

Sharon: Sweetheart, mommy gets to see you tomorrow, and not just here at the house. We get to go out. We can go places. Tomorrow's gonna be a really nice day. I can't wait.

Noah: Got a great idea. How about I stay with you tonight? No babysitters. Just, you know, your awesome, amazing big brother.

Mariah: I have an even better idea. I will stay, as well, tonight, your even more awesome and amazing big sister. It'll be all three of us.

Faith: [Giggles]

Mariah: Yeah? Only if your dad is cool with it.

Faith: Can we, daddy? Is it cool?

Nick: [Chuckles] It is so cool. All right.

Mariah: Yes.

Nick: Let's, uh, let's go. I'll take you home.

Mariah: Come on.

Faith: See you tomorrow, mommy.

Sharon: All right. Bye, babe. Thank you for bringing her. I hope that things are gonna be better now for all of us.

Nick: Get some rest.

[Door opens]

[Door closes]

Dylan: [Sighs]

Sharon: Well, that might have been the best party I've ever been to in my life.

[Both laugh]

Sharon: But they always come to an end, don't they?

Dylan: Yeah, I know it's hard to let faith go, but you were telling her the truth. Now you guys can be together.

Sharon: Yeah, based on custody and visitation issues. [Chuckles] Why is it so easy to go from grateful for everything to afraid of what the future's gonna bring?

Dylan: Well, I'd say that's true even if you just didn't have murder charges dropped.

Sharon: Are you talking about that text? Avery?

Dylan: No, she can't make it back.

Sharon: I'm sorry. Um... maybe you should go to her in Chicago.

Dylan: No, I don't think so.

Sharon: Being apart isn't really helping.

Dylan: Yeah, well, she made her point. "Got your message. Need to stay another week."

Sharon: Wow. And that's all? You're a good and wonderful and amazing man, Dylan. You deserve more than just a text. A lot more.
