Episode # 10650 ~ Ashley is concerned about Jabot; Victoria & Stitch reach a relationship crossroads.
Provided By Suzanne
Abby: Does that mean we need to find someplace to live?
Kyle: I don't think that's what dad meant when he told us all to leave.
Abby: Well, what did he mean?
Kyle: I'm not sure, Abby, but I think I can still stay at the house.
Billy: Well, I can tell you he was clear about me not having a job.
Abby: Well, "you're fired" doesn't leave a lot of room for interpretation. I can't figure out why uncle Jack is doing this.
Billy: Well, that makes two of us.
Ashley: I spoke to Traci, and my assistant is contacting all the board members. I'm calling an emergency meeting tomorrow.
Kyle: Wait. So, you're still going ahead with this -- voting him out as C.E.O.?
Ashley: Kyle, we don't have any choice.
Abby: What if we tried to talk to him?
Billy: I think we already tried that, and he's not interested.
Kyle: No, hang on. There has to be some reason why he's joining forces with Victor.
Billy: Yeah, temporary insanity.
Kyle: No, look -- when he's ready, I'm sure he's gonna tell us what's going on. We just need to calm down.
Ashley: There's no time to calm down, Kyle.
Stitch: What's this -- a Jabot meeting I didn't know about?
Billy: No. It's a family meeting. Family members only.
Victoria: You can't sleep, either. I guess we both miss Ben. But you know what? He's looking out for Abby right now, and we have each other. Dad has been spending more time with us. That's a good thing, right?
Victor: Well, not really.
Victoria: [Sighs]
Kelly: I think a toast is in order.
Jack: You know I don't drink.
Kelly: Oh, that's right. Phyllis got you all clean and sober.
Jack: That's right. She saved my life.
Kelly: I suppose I owe her for that, but, really, Jack, enough is enough. You have denied yourself so many of life's pleasures since that woman got her hooks into you. That's all changed now, right? I mean, that's what you were telling me with that kiss. Isn't it?
Jack: You kissed me.
Kelly: But you kissed me back. [Chuckles] Unless you were pretending.
Jack: What do you think?
Kelly: I think getting hit on the head with a baseball bat kind of brought you to your senses. I think...that that kiss... was just the start of things to come.
[Cork pops]
Kelly: Whoo! [Laughs]
Jack: Well, here is to you, Jackie boy. I've made a new man out of you.
Phyllis: Jack?!
Jack: Yeah?
Phyllis: Good! You're back! I was starting to get worried. Where have you been?
Jack: I had a meeting I had to attend.
Phyllis: At this late hour?
Jack: Well, it was an urgent matter I had to deal with.
Phyllis: Was it about Jabot and this idea of yours to partner with Victor?
Jack: Enough with shop talk. I want to get back to a conversation we started in St. Barts. You know, just because we're back in Genoa city doesn't mean this honeymoon has to end. There are still beds in this house that have not been christened -- and a pool table.
Phyllis: How long do you think you can keep this up?
Jack: Oh, I don't know. Maybe forever. What?
Phyllis: Have you been drinking? I smell alcohol on your breath.
Jack: Yeah. Yeah. I had one little drink, celebrating the meeting I just had. It's about Jabot.
Phyllis: You can't have one little drink. You're in recovery. You always will be.
Jack: Don't be a killjoy. There are great things on the horizon for me and my company. This is not a time to be worried.
Phyllis: I am worried you think this path you're on isn't dangerous. Have you forgotten the hell you went through to kick your addiction?
Jack: No, I absolutely have not. Neither have I forgotten that you were right there with me.
Phyllis: Yeah, and I don't want to go back to that place.
Jack: Do you really think I would do that to us?
Phyllis: I hope not. But it's a very small leap from drinking to getting hooked on pills again, especially with your family causing you this stress.
Jack: I am not stressed! I am excited... about the future -- mine and Jabot's.
Phyllis: So am I, but I don't want anything to jeopardize that.
Jack: Nothing will. I promise you. Red, I love my life right now. I'm not gonna do anything to screw it up. [Sighs] Okay, Kelly. I really shouldn't take one.
Kelly: Oh, come on. You deserve it. We have so much to celebrate. Drink, drink, drink. Good job! [Laughs] See? You didn't even burst into flames.
Jack: You're right. You're right. I've been -- I-I've been denying myself pleasure for too long. That's gonna stop now. I'm putting my past behind me -- all of it.
Kelly: Mm. I want to believe you.
Jack: You can. Do.
Kelly: When you first got here, you said you still loved Phyllis and you always would.
Jack: Kelly, I was confused. I didn't know where I was. I didn't know how I got here. And then seeing you again -- I thought you were dead! I did! I was afraid to allow myself to believe you were alive, but -- but this is real. And that kiss was real. And what we have is real. And I want more. Isn't that what you want?
Kelly: All I've ever wanted is -- is for us to be together.
Jack: Good. So, all we have to do is do that. Now, what's the plan? Is Victor gonna put us up somewhere? Is he -- is he bankrolling it? What -- what's the plan?
Kelly: You want to talk about the future?
Jack: Yes, I do.
Kelly: [Giggling] Okay. Wait here -- not that you have much of a choice.
Jack: Wait. Wait. Where are you -- where are you going?
Kelly: I have a surprise for you.
Jack: What kind of surprise?
Kelly: Oh! Patience, love.
Jack: Ohh. Victor, you are laughing somewhere. Enjoy it while you can, 'cause I'm gonna get out of here, and when I do, we'll see who gets the last laugh.
Victor: I didn't mean to startle you, my sweetheart, but your nanny let me in.
Victoria: Oh, that's okay. What brings you by?
Victor: I came by to leave some presents for Johnny and Katherine. Knowing who the father is, I just want to make sure that they are taken care of.
Victoria: Oh, that's very sweet of you! I appreciate that, dad.
Victor: Good.
Victoria: But I don't appreciate you knocking Billy. You know that he's their father.
Victor: Uh-huh, as long as you are a Newman. That's all that counts.
Victoria: Daddy, listen -- I really appreciate you stopping by, but Katherine and Johnny -- we're all good without Ben here. So, is there some other reason that you suddenly appeared in my living room?
Victor: I get the feeling that you've been kind of distracted lately. You know, there are some big changes coming in the company, and I just wanted to make sure that you are on board.
Victoria: Daddy, if you're implying that I cannot be a mother and work, then I'm insulted, and you're wrong.
Victor: No. No. I'm not implying that. All I'm saying is that, you know, I need your total commitment.
Victoria: Well, how do you expect me to be fully committed when you won't tell me what exactly it is that you have planned?
Victor: All right. Katherine, you tell your mommy I will tell her everything about what I plan to do once she pays full attention to me, okay?
Victoria: And you tell your grandpa that he doesn't have a child as committed to Newman enterprises as I am.
Victor: You have been committed to Newman enterprises many times before, only to abandon me -- only to go to Europe to pursue your artistic dreams or just because you're angry with me.
Victoria: I know.
Victor: Okay.
Victoria: I know I've let you down in the past.
Victor: You have, okay? Don't you understand that I want everything that I've accomplished in my life -- I want this company, Newman enterprises, to be the legacy I leave for my children? And you are most like me. I adore you, okay? And I trust in your abilities as someone to lead a huge corporation. But I need your commitment.
Victoria: No one could ever take your place, dad.
Victor: Come here. Just promise me that, one day, you will leave this company, this legacy that I'm mostly bestowing upon you -- that you leave it to Katherine.
Victoria: In other words, make sure she's a Newman, not an Abbott. That's what it always comes down to, doesn't it -- the Newmans versus the Abbotts?
Victor: You're getting my drift.
Abby: Ben works for Jabot. He has as much right to be here as any of us.
Billy: This is a family matter, and since stitch isn't an Abbott, he's got no reason to be here.
Stitch: Abby's my reason. I'm looking out for her.
Billy: I think we got it covered, ace, so, you know, you can roll on home to Victoria, unless you've forgotten how to get there.
Stitch: I don't have to be reminded of where I live or who I live with.
Billy: Well, I think living with someone means staying at the same home with them, and since I've been spending more time over at Victoria's lately than you have, how is that fair to your girlfriend?
Stitch: I don't know, Billy. How's that fair for your fiancée?
Billy: You know, you can leave Chelsea out of this.
Stitch: Well, you seem to have gotten really good at leaving Chelsea out of things.
Kyle: Guys.
Ashley: Okay. Knock it off. We've got bigger problems.
Abby: Can I talk to you for a second? Now?
Ashley: Let's just sit down, Billy, okay?
Billy: Yeah, yeah.
Stitch: I don't know what the hell Billy's problem is.
Abby: Uncle Jack fired him.
Stitch: What?
Abby: Yeah. We all pretty much had the same reaction, and now my mom is trying to get Jabot's board to remove Jack as C.E.O.
Stitch: How do you feel about that?
Abby: We have a lot to talk about.
Stitch: In other words, "beat it, Ben." Got it.
Abby: Billy's right. You should be with Victoria.
Stitch: You sure that's what you want?
Abby: It's where you belong.
Stitch: You're right. Yeah. Um... Victoria and I have some things to discuss. I'll see you later.
Billy: So, what do you think? Do we have the votes to force Jack out?
Ashley: We're very, very close.
Billy: Well, you can count all of us in.
Kyle: Not me.
Billy: You're kidding, right? You're not actually gonna support Jack and this crazy idea of his to partner with Victor?
Kyle: I support my dad, period.
Billy: You're an idiot -- exclamation point.
Ashley: Is that really necessary?
Billy: No, probably not, but it felt right saying it. Okay. So, Kyle's only one vote.
Kyle: Actually, uh, it's two. Right, Abby? Come on, cuz. You're not gonna let them get away with this?
Billy: What's it gonna be, Abbs?
Abby: This is all happening so fast.
Billy: Well, Jack is setting the pace. He fires me in two seconds flat. Now he's moving at the speed of light to make this partnership with your dad happen.
Ashley: We have to move quickly to keep ahead of Jack.
Abby: It just feels like we're ganging up on him.
Billy: I love my brother. I do. But the guy's going rogue. He's got his own agenda.
Kyle: What, and you and aunt Ashley don't?
Billy: Yeah, Kyle. I do have an agenda. It's to keep Jack from deep-sixing Jabot.
Ashley: What we're trying to do is protect the company that our father created. This is the best thing for our entire family, Kyle, including your father.
Kyle: Oh, and how is throwing him out helping him, exactly?
Ashley: Because teaming up with Newman is gonna destroy the Abbott legacy, and Jack's gonna realize that, and it's gonna destroy him, and I'm afraid it's gonna push him into some very destructive behavior.
Billy: Kyle, just listen -- your dad is not thinking clearly, so we have to.
Ashley: We Abbotts have always stood together as a family. That's what we're asking you to do. Please, just stand with us.
Kyle: And against dad?
Ashley: I don't want to do anything against your father. I love him. But he's become somebody that I don't recognize anymore. Please. I don't know if it's the pressures of the job. I don't know if it's the near-death experience he had when the building collapsed. I don't know. But I do know this is the best thing for Jabot and for Jack.
Abby: If you think it's the best thing --
Kyle: No, it's -- it's not, Abby!
Ashley: Look, I'm not gonna pressure you anymore. We're going ahead with this.
Billy: With or without you guys.
Kyle: Like hell they are.
Abby: What?
Kyle: I'm not gonna let them get away with this.
Abby: Kyle!
Victor: Well, I just mainly came by to make sure that your loyalties are in the right place. You know they haven't always been that way, I think mostly due to that useless ex-husband of yours.
Victoria: I guess you don't have to worry about that anymore, because Billy and Chelsea are moving forward with the wedding plans.
Victor: Well, that's good for you.
Victoria: And for you. And, by the way, Billy will always be in my life because he's Katherine and Johnny's father.
Victor: But you're no longer sharing pillow talk with him, are you? I mean, Ben is in your life now, isn't he? Although he's working for Jabot. How does that sit with you?
Victoria: Dad...
Victor: What?
Victoria: ...Dad has been spending nights at the club. He's watching out for Abby right now.
Victor: Why? Sharon is under house arrest. She no longer poses danger to Abby.
Victoria: Ben is not convinced that Sharon is the killer.
Victor: Of course she is! Wish I could convince your brother of it before he gets involved with that woman again.
Victoria: Nick has a blind spot when it comes to Sharon.
Victor: Oh, does he ever! I hope you don't have a blind spot when it comes to your ex.
Victoria: Don't worry. I have had enough of all the men in my life, Abbott or otherwise.
Stitch: Guess I'm otherwise.
Kelly: Look! I found it! Well, I never really lost it. It's not like I was sleeping with it under my pillow or anything. Well, maybe a couple of nights. Anyway, you remember it?
Jack: O-of course. It's -- it's, uh, one of the fabrics that you were considering when you were gonna redecorate my bedroom.
Kelly: Our bedroom. At least that's what I was planning on, until that woman came back. I kept it to remind me of all the magical hours we spent in that room. Do you remember?
Jack: I remember every bit of it, every bit of it -- the scent of you... the soft touch of your lips, how you loved me to kiss that special spot behind your knee that only I knew about, how it made your back arch and how you let out a little cry.
Kelly: You always knew what I liked.
Jack: I never knew you were in to these.
Kelly: Well, I'm not.
Jack: So let me out. Don't you want my arms around you? Don't you want my hands caressing you? Don't you?
Kelly: Yeah.
Jack: Our bodies rubbing together as your back arches and arches and arches.
Kelly: That's really tempting.
Jack: Go ahead. Untie me. Go ahead. There. There.
Kelly: No.
Jack: No, yes.
Kelly: No.
Jack: Yes.
Kelly: Not until I'm absolutely positive of your feelings for me, Jack. You hurt me. See, you hurt me really bad. So, you're gonna have to prove your love to me.
Jack: You're not the only one who was hurt. My head is still throbbing from that whack you gave me with the baseball bat.
Kelly: Oh, come on. I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry. But you were trying to escape. You didn't give me any choice. And I can't let you go, Jack. I can't just let you go -- not until at least you understand that the things that happened in Genoa city were not my fault! Okay? It was that -- that woman, that witch! She convinced you that I was stalking her! I wasn't stalking her! She made you think that I was the reason that she ran out of gas on her way to the new year's eve party. I mean, come on! And then she made you think that I switched the hotel room so I would end up in bed with you, and then she took that wig and she stuffed it in her purse and she made you think that I was the one who did it when I did not! And then she put the poison in my tea when none of that worked, and she framed me for it. I'm telling you, Jack, that woman is evil!
Jack: I thought you didn't want to talk about Phyllis.
Kelly: I don't want to talk about Phyllis. I just -- I just -- I just -- I just want you to remember. Remember what we had.
Jack: I do. And I can prove it to you.
Phyllis: You know, you can unfire Billy if you want to.
Jack: If I want?
Phyllis: Jack... he's family. He's your brother. Doesn't he deserve a second chance?
Jack: Billy has already blown his second chance -- and his third and his fourth.
Phyllis: So, that's it? You're just gonna cut him out of your life? Because if you don't give him back his job, that's exactly what's gonna happen.
Jack: Billy brought this on himself. What did he think was gonna happen when he tried to toss me out and take my place?
Phyllis: He doesn't want to be C.E.O.!
Jack: Everybody's out for number one -- everybody. When I think of all the times Billy boy screwed up and waited for his big brother to clean things up... this is the thanks I get? I value one thing above everything else, and that is loyalty.
Billy: Well, you have a funny way of showing it.
Jack: Well, if it isn't my traitorous family returned to talk to me. Are you here to apologize?
Ashley: We came to tell you that we spoke to a majority of the board members, Jack.
Jack: What did my old pals have to say?
Billy: That you can either exit gracefully or you can fight this, but, either way, you're out.
Jack: You appear to be confused, Billy. You can't oust me. I already fired you.
Billy: Actually, I still have a seat on the board, and according to the articles of the corporation, I don't have to be an employee to cast my vote.
Jack: A vote to get rid of me.
Ashley: You forced our hands, Jack.
Kyle: Not mine, dad.
Jack: Thank you, son. I appreciate your support. How 'bout you, Abby?
Abby: Uncle Jack --
Jack: You know what? Never mind. I would never put you in a position where you have to take sides, except there's probably plenty of people on the board that took my side.
Ashley: Actually not. I spoke to Traci and the rest of the board. We have the majority, Jack.
Jack: Traci?
Ashley: Yeah. She's very concerned about you, as we all are.
Billy: Jack, it doesn't have to be like this. All you have to do is step down.
Jack: Well, that's all? I step down, you step up. Yeah, sure. I'm gonna do that, bill.
Billy: What the hell is the matter with you? Ash and I are fighting to save the company that our dad spent a lifeuilding. My God. I'm glad he's not around to see the way you're trashing the legacy that he left us.
Phyllis: How dare you! Jack has worked like hell to get this company where it's at while you were womanizing and gambling and drinking. He took on Victor and Katherine and tucker McCall and all the other major stockholders to get Jabot back in the Abbotts' hands, and you come in here wanting to take it over?
Billy: I don't know how many times I have to tell you this, Phyllis. I don't want to be C.E.O.!
Ashley: What we're trying to do is stop him from doing something that he's gonna regret.
Phyllis: No, this is mutiny. You want Jack out so you can have the company to yourselves. That's what's going on here.
Ashley: You know what? This is none of your business.
Phyllis: Well, it most certainly is!
Kyle: I said I was on dad's side.
Jack: Look, everybody, stop! I think I understand everyone's perspective. I think I'd like a little time with my wife to discuss this, and we'll meet in Ashley's office in one hour. I'll tell you what I've decided.
Billy: There is nothing left to decide, Jack.
Ashley: We'll see you in an hour.
Phyllis: Honey, I really hope you have a plan.
Jack: Oh, red, I always have a plan.
Kelly: So, what's your plan? How are you gonna prove your love to me?
Jack: By telling you a story -- a love story.
Kelly: Go ahead.
Jack: It's about a beautiful woman named Kelly and a dashing and infatuated man named Mr. Hinkle.
Kelly: Oh. [Laughs]
Kelly: Mr. Hinkle? [Gasps] [Gasps] [Laughs] Oh, Mr. Hinkle. You shouldn't have.
Jack: That's only how the love story starts. It goes on from there.
Jack: Have you been web-stalking me?
Kelly: You forget I had to write your board-member bio for the foundation, so while I was researching pertinent information, such as education, military service, various charitable endeavors, I stumbled across, um, net worth, ex-wives, various scandals, and an arrest or two!
Jack: Ooh. Scandals, exes, and arrests -- oh, my!
Kelly: [Chuckles]
Jack: Did it say anything about my undeniable charm, my joie de vivre, any pictures of me as prince charming at the town costume ball? God, I hope there are none of those.
Kelly: No. I guess I'll have to do a little more digging. [Chuckles]
Jack: So, what about you? Any exes? Any scandals, stories I should know?
Kelly: Oh, I'm afraid I fall in to the category of "very boring."
Jack: Oh, I don't believe that for a second. Come on. Out with it -- the whole truth.
Jack: I had no idea then... that you were much, much more than I ever imagined.
Kelly: Oh. Well...
Victoria: Are you sure Abby's okay?
Stitch: She's with the Abbotts. They're having a big family powwow.
Victoria: I'm surprised you left her. I mean, you've been so concerned about her security.
Stitch: Well, Billy and Kyle are keeping an eye on her. Besides, it was made very clear to me that the meeting was Abbotts only and that I didn't have a place there.
Victor: Made clear by whom, stitch -- by that useless Billy boy Abbott? He has been nothing but an embarrassment to the Abbott family ever since his father died.
Stitch: Well, apparently, Jack agrees with you, since he fired Billy.
Victoria: What?!
Stitch: Yeah. I think that's what the big confab is about.
Victor: They're looking for new leadership.
Stitch: Wouldn't surprise me if there's a change at the top real soon.
Victor: Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me, either. Anyway, my sweetheart, I'd better be going.
Victoria: Okay. Goodbye, dad. Mwah!
Victor: I'll be in touch, okay?
Victoria: Okay.
Victor: Stitch, nice to see you.
Stitch: Mr. Newman. The same.
Victor: Yep.
[Door closes]
Stitch: We need to talk.
Victoria: About Abby?
Stitch: About us and where we stand.
Victoria: Oh. Well, because you've made it pretty clear that Abby is your priority.
Stitch: After you asked me to keep her safe.
Victoria: Yeah. But it turned in to more than that, didn't it?
Stitch: You know, it doesn't seem that long ago I thought this little angel might have been mine. [Chuckles] You think -- you think that would have changed things for us, if Katie, uh... I guess we'll never know.
Victoria: You know, I always thought that Billy finding out that Katherine was his daughter would be the thing that would come between us, but we got past that. You know, we're finally free to focus on us and -- and building a relationship for us.
Stitch: I wanted that.
Victoria: The truth of the matter is... whenever the two of us were together... it always felt like there were three people in the room.
Stitch: I'm sorry, Vick.
Victoria: We gave it our best shot, right? I mean, it's not like we set out to be a family or to be a couple, even. We just sort of started off as friends -- friends, you know? Friends who drank entirely too much tequila together.
Stitch: It may have started out that way, but it turned in to something much more. At least it did for me.
Victoria: Oh, for me, too.
Stitch: I love you.
Victoria: I love you, too. It's just not the kind of love that keeps two people together, you know?
Stitch: Well, maybe we could try, you know?
Victoria: No, listen. Hold on a second. I really do think that we have been through enough. We should just be honest with each other. I really want to see you happy, and it's really clear that I can't give that to you. But you deserve to find somebody who can.
Stitch: And you need to find out if your happiness is with Billy.
Victoria: [Sighs] Billy's not...
Stitch: [Voice breaking] You take care of yourself, all right?
[Keys jingle]
Stitch: You take care of Katherine, too.
[Door slams]
Ashley: I wish I knew what was going on in Jack's head.
Billy: Jack doesn't know what's going on in Jack's head.
Ashley: Why did he call this meeting at this hour?
Billy: I mean, we have the votes to remove him as C.E.O., Yet he calls this pointless meeting. It just proves that we're doing the right thing.
Ashley: This doesn't feel right to me. It should never have come to this.
Kyle: Hey, look -- if you're worried about not having your personal bodyguard anymore, I've got you covered.
Abby: It's not that.
Kyle: Well, something's freaking you out.
Abby: Yeah. Yeah -- our schizo family. And uncle Jack's having some sort of weird flashback to his playboy days, and Billy -- Billy is the one with his head screwed on right?
Kyle: Yeah, I'm not so sure about that.
Abby: What do you think your dad's gonna do?
Kyle: Does it matter? I mean, either way, he's out and your side wins.
Abby: I'm not on anybody's side.
Kyle: Come on, Abby. There's no neutral ground here. You're either on my side and dad's side or you're against us. So, what's it gonna be?
Abby: Neither. I'm out.
Kyle: Oh. Abby! Come on.
Phyllis: They drove you to it.
Jack: I'm sorry. Who drove me to what?
Phyllis: Your family. They are the reason you took the drink. I'm surprised you didn't finish the whole bottle.
Jack: Oh, sweetheart, I'm not going to let Billy or anyone else have the satisfaction of driving me back to destructive behavior.
Phyllis: That is right.
Jack: I don't need booze or pills to beat my little brother or sister. I am john Abbott Jr. My father gave me that name and everything that goes with it because he wanted me to lead his company and his family, and that's exactly what I'm going to do, and nothing's going to stop me.
Phyllis: And you are incredibly hot when you wield your power like this.
Jack: Yeah, that's right.
Phyllis: But I want you to listen to me. Ashley and Billy are determined to force you out. If that happens, the press is gonna have a field day, and Jabot is gonna be very vulnerable -- just ripe enough for Victor to swoop in for a hostile takeover.
Jack: You are absolutely right. I know exactly what I have to do to stop that from happening.
Kelly: Tell me more of our love story.
Jack: Oh, there are so many wonderful memories, it's hard to pick just one.
Kelly: How about the time... you chose me over her?
Jack: How could I ever forget that?
Jack: I am gonna take that kiss onto the plane with me and every step of the way after that. In return, I want you to keep one thought in mind. When I come back from Georgia, I'm coming back to the woman I love, and together, we are going to let the past go -- yours and mine -- and with it, all of the pain and upset and heartache and disappointment. All that will matter is our future together.
Kelly: God, I want to believe that.
Jack: Then believe it. Believe it.
Kelly: I believed you, Jack.
Jack: And I kept my promise to you. I came back to you.
Kelly: You loved me -- me.
Jack: I still do, Kelly. I still do. Come on. Untie me.
Kelly: [Laughs]
Jack: [Grunts]
Jack: Why did you do that?! I was telling you our love story.
Kelly: Yeah? Well, I remember how it ended. That bizarro sleeping beauty woke up and ruined everything!
Jack: And do you know who made that happen? Victor Newman -- the man you trust, the man you put all your faith in, the man behind the curtain. If this whole thing goes south, that's where he will stay. You will be alone. I've seen him do this before. He did it with my poor, sick wife Patty. He masterminded a scheme that culminated in Traci's daughter, colleen, dying. Colleen is dead. Was Victor punished? No! He has colleen's heart! And Patty is stuck behind bars in an institution for the criminally insane. That's where you will end up... unless you turn the tables on Victor. Let me help you do that. Get your sweet revenge. It's so much tastier than that champagne. Let me help you. You can beat Victor. Let's beat him together -- you and me... together.
Stitch: Hey, what are you -- what are you doing here by yourself? I agreed to leave you alone 'cause I thought Billy and his posse were keeping an eye on you.
Abby: Abbott family meeting turned in to a battle royale.
Stitch: Who ended up on the losing end?
Abby: I didn't stick around to find out.
Stitch: Had enough family drama, huh? Oh, I know how that is. Yeah. Got a few scars of my own to show for it.
Abby: I just wish we could all get along.
Stitch: Yeah. Fighting with people you love sucks. Only one thing worse -- pretending everything's okay.
Abby: Have you been doing that?
Stitch: With Victoria. But not anymore.
Billy: Oh, finally. Can we get this over with, please?
Kyle: Back off, Billy. We don't even know if dad's made a decision yet.
Jack: Thank you, son, for the support, but I see no point in putting this off any longer.
Ashley: I agree.
Jack: I'm not sure you will after you hear what I have to say.
Ashley: Jack, I was really hoping you'd see reason.
Billy: I think reason went out the window when he fired me, ash.
Victor: It's a very prudent move, if you ask me.
Billy: Well, no one did, and how the hell did he get in here?
Jack: I unlocked the doors in this part of the building.
Ashley: You can't do that, Jack! You can't let anybody just wander in here! What are you thinking?!
Billy: There are restrictions on who's allowed in here.
Victor: And those restrictions no longer apply to either Victoria or me.
Billy: [Scoffs] And why the hell not?
Jack: I'll answer that. Because Victor and I are now partners.
Billy: What?
Jack: Here. Go ahead. Go ahead.
Kelly: No.
Jack: Yes.
Kelly: No. I feel like I'm losing control.
Jack: Is that such a bad thing?
Kelly: Yes. I-I need to stay clear.
Jack: Kelly...
Kelly: Clear. I need to -- good night, Jack.
Jack: Kelly. Kelly! Kelly! Don't leave me like this! Stay with me!
[Door closes, locks]
Abby: Oh, my God, Ben. You and Victoria broke up? That's awful. Was it awful? Did she cry ugly? Did you cry ugly? Did you break things? I mean, that's how my relationships always end -- lots of broken things. [Sighs] How is she?
Stitch: Heartbroken.
Abby: Ben, I am so sorry. I feel terrible for both of you.
Stitch: No, it's been -- it's been coming for a while, you know? I just didn't want to admit it, you know, but I couldn't -- couldn't pretend anymore.
Abby: Poor Victoria.
Stitch: We both knew it was time to say goodbye.
Abby: Still, it's got to hurt. Wh-what about you? Are you okay?
Stitch: Yeah. It feels right. 'Cause if it didn't... I wouldn't do this.
Billy: Please tell me that you weren't in on this. You have to know that this is bad for everyone.
Victoria: I'm as surprised by this partnership as you are. But if Jack's okay with it --
Billy: Right now Jack would give away the company for a ham sandwich.
Victoria: I don't know what Jack's thinking.
Billy: Jack isn't thinking, but I figured that you'd see things more clearly. Or has something happened to cloud your judgment? What? What is that? Is there something you're not telling me?
Victoria: I'm just seeing things more clearly than I have in a long time.
Billy: Vick...
Ashley: Tell me this is a joke.
Victor: It's no joke. It's a legitimate merger.
Billy: Ha! What do you know about "legitimate"?
Victor: Watch your mouth, Billy boy.
Billy: Or what? You gonna -- you gonna fire me?
Ashley: Please, just tell me that this is not serious. You cannot be serious. Please.
Victor: This is very serious, Ashley. I have decided to drop charges against Jack for cybertheft.
Billy: So, you did this to save yourself. How classy, Jack.
Phyllis: Would you rather he went to prison, Billy?
Jack: Everybody just take a deep breath. Yes, staying out of prison had a certain appeal to it, but that is not the reason that I formed an alliance with Victor.
Billy: So, I was right. You suffered a serious head injury in the collapse.
Jack: No, but something else happened when Victor and I were trapped in that rubble.
Billy: Yes, I know -- he saved your life.
Jack: Yes, he saved my life, and he proved that he is a changed man. He proved it yet again when he got Kelly to come forward and admit to her crimes. In fact, Phyllis and I wouldn't be together now if it weren't for Victor. I know you may not like this, but I've come to think of Victor as an ally more than an enemy.
Victor: Just in time. My goodness. Jack, come over here.
Billy: What is this?
Victor: It's about time that the world sees that you and I have become partners.
Jack: Excellent.
[Camera shutter clicking]
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Billy: I will do my brotherly duty by making sure that Jack sees partnering with Victor as a colossal mistake, and you are gonna help me.
Victor: It is not that you will be working with Victoria. You'll be working for Victoria.
