Episode # 10649 ~ Victor's secret partner is revealed; Hilary's plan shakes Devon; Jack's actions shock the Abbotts.

Kelly: You've been a bad, bad boy.

Phyllis: Mm, do I have a handsome husband -- mysterious and handsome. Why won't you tell me what's going on?

Jack: "Going on"?

Phyllis: Why did you hack in to Newman? What do you have on Victor? I mean, why aren't you discussing any of this with the family?

Jack: Let me ask you a question. Why are you asking so many questions when we could be doing this?

Billy: Removing Jack as C.E.O. Should be a last resort, ash.

Ashley: And we've reached it.

Billy: We're not even close.

Ashley: What are you talking about? Less than an hour ago, you said you thought Jack had lost his mind.

Billy: Well, in that hour, I've reconsidered.

Ashley: Reconsidered what, exactly? Jack hacked in to Jabot and Newman. He brazenly broke in to both server rooms. He was caught on tape, Billy. He almost winked at the camera. And now he wants to capitulate to Victor? How do we justify that kind of behavior? You tell me.

Billy: Well, you said yourself that he may still be suffering the aftereffects of the concussion.

Ashley: Oh, please. This is way more than just a hit on the head. Did you see the way he acted when we confronted him? It was like he was getting a parking ticket.

Billy: Yeah, okay, but maybe it's like a midlife crisis or something.

Ashley: If that were the case, he'd be driving around in a sports car and taking Pilates classes with 20-year-old girls, not endangering the future of our family's company.

Billy: You know, the last time he put the company in jeopardy... you don't think that's it, do you? Could he be back on the pills again?

Ashley: I don't know. I don't know. But if that's the case, the sooner he gets out of Jabot and into rehab, the better.

Billy: The better for you, you mean.

Ashley: The better for all of us.

Billy: You're next in line for his job.

Ashley: What if I am?

Billy: So, I can't help but wondering if this is a power play for you to gain control of the company.

Leslie: Please state your name for the record.

Hilary: Hilary Curtis winters.

Leslie: And what is your connection to the defendant, Neil winters?

Hilary: I'm his wife.

Winston: The state requests a, uh -- a recess, your honor.

Leslie: Recess? For what cause? Your honor, Mrs. Winters has just been under testimony.

Winston: It's an urgent matter. I'm afraid it can't wait.

Judge: Very well. We'll reconvene in 15 minutes. [Bangs gavel]

Neil: Well, that's a little strange, isn't it? What was all that about?

Leslie: Yeah. I have no idea. I've never seen Winston Mobley rattled before, and he was definitely rattled.

Neil: Hmm.

Devon: Well, that was weird, wasn't it? Why do you think Mobley called for a recess?

Hilary: I don't know. I guess you'd have to ask him.

Devon: Maybe he's worried about what you're gonna say.

Hilary: Why would he be worried about that?

Devon: Because when the court hears about how you went out to ruin Neil's life, they're bound to sympathize with him. I mean, who wouldn't? He probably figured he has no chance to get a conviction with a piece of work like you up there.

Hilary: Yeah. That's probably it. He's probably rethinking his whole case.

[Cell phone rings]

Hilary: Hello?

Winston: You want to tell me what the hell you've been up to, Ann? Sorry -- Hilary. Or should I call you "Mrs. Winters"?

Hilary: [Chuckles] Oh. You like that?

Winston: There was nothing chance about our meeting, was there? You knew that I was prosecuting this case, so you put on your tightest dress and you tracked me down, you threw your hips against me, and you got me into bed. For what? To get this trial thrown out? Is that what this is about?

Hilary: No. This is about me doing everything I can to help my husband.

Winston: What a lucky man.

Hilary: Who?

Winston: Your husband. You're such a devoted wife that you're willing to sleep with the A.D.A. For him? But then what's another notch on your bedpost when you've already had an affair with your stepson?

Hilary: Congratulations. You did enough homework to know the whole story, just not enough to know who the hell I was.

Winston: I thought I'd seen my share of vicious predators in this job, but you, Mrs. Winters, are in a class by yourself.

Hilary: I don't care what you think about me, okay? My concern right now is my husband. He doesn't belong in prison, and you are gonna make damn sure he doesn't end up there.

Winston: How? By recusing myself, forcing the judge to declare a mistrial? Do you really think that that is gonna put an end to this? Christine lost a baby. There's no chance in hell that she is gonna let your husband walk, and if that means getting a new ADA or moving for a new trial, then you can sure as hell bet that she will make that happen.

Hilary: Yeah. You're probably right. You know, that's why you're not gonna recuse yourself.

Winston: You can't be serious.

Hilary: Make no mistake. I am very serious.

Victor: What the hell got in to that ADA, questioning you on the stand like that?

Nikki: I got through it. That's what matters.

Victor: You gonna be all right, baby?

Nikki: Positive.

Victor: You okay?

Nikki: You don't need to stay here with me. I know you have a lot of work to do.

Victor: Sweetheart, you are more important to me than anything, all right?

Nikki: That's so sweet, and I appreciate it.

Victor: Okay.

Nikki: But I know you have a lot on your plate.

Victor: I do.

Nikki: By the way, what is that cyber break-in about?

Victor: We're getting to the bottom of it. Don't you worry, okay?

Phyllis: Okay, not that I'm complaining...

Jack: But...?

Phyllis: You -- what is with this wild-man routine? You are insatiable. I mean, is this what happens when you get married?

Jack: It is when I have a honeymoon in St. Barts with such a hot, sexy woman.

Phyllis: Honey, really, I love feeling like a teenager -- I do -- whose parents have left home and her boyfriend has come over with his hormones and a box of condoms.

Jack: I hear another "but" coming.

Phyllis: I can't help but get the feeling this is about... not answering some questions.

Jack: What questions?

Phyllis: You know very well.

Jack: Oh, about Jabot and Newman? Aren't we tired of all that?

Phyllis: See, that's what I'm talking about. You sound so cavalier. Billy and Ashley could hardly believe what was coming out of your mouth earlier. Trust me, their heads were spinning by the time they left.

Jack: I tried to set them straight. I tried to tell them where I stood.

Phyllis: Which is where, exactly?

Jack: I am as invested in Jabot and the future as anyone else, but I refuse to keep playing the same games with Victor ad nauseam.

Phyllis: I know that you are confident that you have the upper hand.

Jack: There is no way I am going to prison for cybertheft. Trust me.

Phyllis: I do. But I'm not so sure your brother and sister feel the same way.

Ashley: You know me better than that. I would never throw my brother under the bus for a title. Besides, I'm hoping against hope that this is just temporary, until he comes to his senses.

Billy: But that could be tomorrow for all we know. We have to hold off on any big moves until we get a better handle on this.

Ashley: Billy, we don't have any time. He's about to be charged with corporate espionage.

Billy: Unless he cuts a deal with Victor.

Ashley: Oh, my God. I don't know what would be worse -- Jack being beholden to Victor and acting as his puppet or Jack standing trial and leaving Jabot completely vulnerable for Victor to snatch it up. This is making me crazy.

Billy: Ashley, look -- there's got to be a method to his madness. This is Jack we're talking about. He would never put Jabot in a compromising position. He wouldn't do it to us. He wouldn't do it to dad's memory.

Ashley: He did already.

Billy: Okay. Well, what if this really is all part of this new strategy to try and beat Victor at his own game?

Ashley: Then why the hell didn't he fill us in on it?

Billy: I don't know. Maybe he's trying to protect us in case it backfires, or maybe he's just trying to get something in place first before...

Ashley: What?

Billy: It just hit me that we're talking about Jack the way we usually talk about Victor.

Ashley: And that is so not good.

Billy: I simply couldn't handle two Victors in my life.

Ashley: Tell me about it.

Billy: I wonder if some kind of mind meld took place between he and lurch when they were buried in the underground. You didn't notice a mustache sprouting up on Jack, did you?

Ashley: Fortunately not.

[Cell phone rings]

Billy: Oh. This should be interesting. Hey, Phyllis. No, I'm surprised to hear from you. I figured you and Casanova would be too busy with your hands all over each other to make this call.

Phyllis: Sorry our visit got cut short before. That's why I've been trying to get ahold of you. Jack and I would like you and Ashley to come back over for some cocktails.

Billy: For cocktails?

Phyllis: Yeah, sort of a belated wedding reception. Abby and Kyle are coming, too. So, can I count on you?

Billy: Uh, yeah. Wouldn't miss it.

Phyllis: Great. See you soon.

Ashley: Wouldn't miss what?

Billy: Well, it would appear that the bride and groom are having a party and we're invited.

Ashley: Right now? This could be our opportunity.

Billy: Opportunity for what?

Ashley: Look, I know you and I both love Jack so much, but we're gonna have to make some hard decisions right now.

Jack: Shall I have Mrs. Martinez get things ready?

Phyllis: This is the right thing to do. You're okay with it, aren't you?

Jack: You are my queen. I am your slave.

Kelly: No, I'm sorry, Jack, but we can't let this fester. You know what happens when wounds are ignored. They get angry, rotten. Could be deadly. Oh, come on, now. Don't look at me that way. I would never let you suffer like that, although I am a little disappointed that you would try to escape. I mean, everything I am doing here is for your happiness. That's why I had to hit you with the bat. It's for your own good. You know, I really hate that you have forced me to resort to violence, but you gave me no choice. I promise, Jack, though, I will do absolutely everything in my power to forgive you, 'cause that's just the kind of person that I am. You know, when my brother, Ben -- when I thought that he had killed our dad, I forgave him. And I'm working really, really hard to forgive my mom, too, but that's a little trickier. [Chuckles] But I will. I will because that's what love is, right? Love is forgiveness and understanding.

Jack: [Thinking] Understanding? You hit me with a bat. Somehow, some way, I am getting out of here, and I'm going home to my wife while you're locked up on the other side of the world in some pit for the criminally insane, and you'll rot there for the rest of your miserable life.

Kelly: Oh, I see that in your eyes. Temper, temper, temper, Jack. Look, this will all be worth it. It might take me a little while to convince you that we should be together, but... I'm in no hurry. We have the rest of our lives.

Victor: This is a consummate waste of time. I want to know what's going on. Paul... would you mind explaining to me the reason for this recess?

Paul: I couldn't tell you, but I wouldn't go getting your hopes up. Winston Mobley is used to getting what he wants. The guy is relentless. But I don't have to remind you of that, do I?

Nikki: Christine had it rough on the stand, too. My heart went out to her, having to talk about the baby.

Paul: Well, you and Neil are the ones responsible for that.

Victor: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I think that's about half right, okay?

Nikki: I know that she's not ready to hear this yet, but whatever happens today, I hope that she will come to realize that what happened was an accident. Maybe she'll find some peace.

Paul: The only thing that's gonna bring her peace is if Neil is found guilty. Nothing less will do.

Lily: Why would you make a not-guilty plea and then go on the stand and make the state's case for them? And how could you let him do that?

Cane: Leslie can coach Neil as much as she wants, but at the end of the day, he's going to say what he wants.

Leslie: Cane's right. I can't help Neil if he's determined to convict himself.

Neil: You put me on the stand. I swore I'd tell the truth, didn't I? I did it for Paul and Christine.

Lily: What about for us? What about for Moses and Charlie and Mattie? We need you to fight.

Neil: It's about time to get back in there. I'm now very anxious to hear what Hilary has to say.

Lily: I hate the fact that she's testifying for the defense.

Neil: I think it's because she wants to clear her conscience.

Lily: She doesn't have a conscience.

Cane: Let's get back in. Come on.

Lily: I'll tell Devon.

Cane: All right.

Lily: Hey. Recess is over.

Devon: Huh?

Lily: We have to go back inside.

Devon: Okay.

Hilary: See, I don't think you see the situation for what it is.

Winston: This isn't up for debate. I have to do the right thing and recuse myself. I had sex with a defense witness.

Hilary: Exactly. And when you explain why you're stepping down, it will take one nanosecond for that news to go viral and two nanoseconds for your career to be over -- no chance of becoming D.A., Attorney general, mayor, governor, president. All of your ambitions trashed just because you did the right thing. Are you sure that's what you want?

Leslie: Defense recalls Hilary Winters.

Winston: Your honor, may counsel approach the bench?

Judge: If you must.

Neil: Hey, what's his problem?

Leslie: I'll find out.

Lily: This is getting ridiculous.

Winston: The state would like to propose a plea deal.

Leslie: What? Since when? What changed?

Winston: Are you interested or not?

Leslie: What is your offer?

Victor: What do we have here?

Kelly: You know, I've had a long, long time to think about how things were like between us before you dumped me for that red-headed menace. [Sighs] Now, believe me, it pains me to have to say things like that, Jack, but you have to know the truth. That woman is trash, filth! Frankly, there are pigs that are cleaner than Phyllis. For a brief moment when we were together, you knew what it was like to be free of her.

Jack: [Thinking] My life without Phyllis was hell.

Kelly: You finally had a woman who was worthy of you -- a real woman... a lady.

Jack: A crazy lady. If I had any idea who you were, I would have run for the hills.

Kelly: Those were such good days, Jack, living together in your house, thinking about getting married. Everybody was so excited for us -- even summer.

Jack: Summer barely tolerated you. I should have listened to her while I had the chance.

Kelly: Back then, you thought that summer was your daughter. Do you remember? Meant so much to you. Me, too. After all the loss that I had suffered, I finally felt like I had a family again. It healed me... like I healed you.

Jack: You call this "healing"?

Kelly: I realize that all the pain and suffering that we've been through in our lives -- see, it happened for a reason... because it led us to each other. We were meant to fall in love, Jack.

Jack: It wasn't fate that brought us together. It was loneliness, desperation. I used you to try and forget Phyllis, but she was always there, always between us, and she still is.

Kelly: Everything was so perfect until she came back and got into your head, hypnotized you into giving up the best thing that ever happened to you, Jack -- lured you into following her. But that's all over now. I've rescued you.

Phyllis: Welcome. Make yourself at home.

Kyle: This is my home.

Phyllis: That's right. That's why it should be very easy for you. Thank you both for joining us like this, last-minute.

Kyle: Congratulations, stepmom.

Phyllis: Oh, thank you.

Abby: I hope that you and uncle Jack will be very happy.

Phyllis: Well, so far, so amazing. I spoke to summer. She sounded stable, but how is she really?

Abby: Well, if she sounds stable, that's all because of Kyle. He's done a great job looking after her.

Kyle: Ohh. She's just had her whole world turned upside down, but, uh, she's getting through it.

Phyllis: Well, I have to go see her.

Kyle: She's spending the day with faith, actually, trying to distract her from...

Phyllis: Sharon's arrest? Well, I would want to distract myself, too, if I knew my mother was Sharon. I certainly hope that this proves to everybody that my fall was no accident. But enough of that. Today is supposed to be a celebration.

Kyle: Yeah. Where is the groom?

Phyllis: Well, he is talking to Mrs. Martinez about spicing things up, whatever the heck that means.

Abby: [Chuckles]

Billy: So, is this where we get the free drinks?

Abby: Hey! You made it!

Kyle: Are you guys ready to, uh, celebrate or what?

Billy: Yes! It should be one for the record books, right, ash?

Ashley: Yep.

Abby: Mom, something wrong?

Ashley: Not according to your uncle Jack. The world may be crashing down around us, but he thinks we should just brush it off.

Kyle: Uh, okay. And what does that mean?

Phyllis: There was some tension before when Billy and Ashley were over but nothing that a good get-together can't cure. That's why I suggested it.

Abby: Tension about what?

Ashley: This is highly confidential. The person that's responsible for hacking in to both Jabot and Newman's server room was Jack.

Kyle: [Chuckles] No way. I-I don't believe that.

Abby: No. Uncle Jack wouldn't do something like that.

Kyle: Yeah.

Billy: Well, we thought so, too, until we saw it for ourselves.

Ashley: There's surveillance footage of Jack at Jabot. Victor has similar footage from Newman.

Abby: Wait. My dad knows about this?

Billy: And he's threatening to press charges.

Kyle: This can't be happening.

Phyllis: We have to trust your father. There's a good reason behind all this.

Ashley: Until we figure out exactly what that is, temporarily, we want Jack to step down as C.E.O. Of Jabot.

Jack: Wow! Good luck with that.

Lily: Why did they call dad up there?

Cane: That's a good question. All right. We're about to find out.

Judge: The bench recognizes the attorney for the defense.

Leslie: For the record, my client has accepted the terms of a plea bargain.

Lily: [Gasps] Oh, my God.

Paul: You can't do that!

Leslie: Mr. Winters will voluntarily enter a plea of guilty to the lesser charges of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and of battery to an unborn child, for which he will serve two years' probation and community service. My client has further agreed to volunteer with an organization that educates the public on the dangers of drinking and driving. He'll undergo random sobriety checks and attend AA meetings regularly. If at any point it is determined that he has violated this agreement, he will be sentenced to time in prison.

Judge: This case is now resolved. Court is adjourned. [Bangs gavel]

Lily: What?

Neil: Thank you. Thank you so much.

Lily: Dad, that's amazing! [Chuckling] Oh, my God.

Neil: Right?

Lily: [Chuckles]

Cane: I'm happy for you, Neil.

Lily: Oh, my -- Leslie, thank you so much.

Leslie: I mean, I'd like to take credit, but this is the ADA's doing. I mean, after weeks of saying no to a plea, he just suddenly did a 180. Excuse me.

Neil: Thank you.

Lily: Oh, my gosh.

Neil: [Clears throat]

Nikki: Can we join in on the celebration?

Neil: I'm -- I'm in disbelief. I don't know what just happened. I don't.

Victor: Justice was served, my old friend. You refused to let Nikki take the blame for the accident, and I respect you for that. You're an honest man. Now, since Jack Abbott did not make a beeline for your services after you regained your eyesight, I'm offering you... an executive position at Newman.

Neil: Thanks, Victor. That's very nice of you. But I think thanks is all that's necessary at this point.

Victor: You know where to reach me.

Neil: I sure do.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Nikki: Take it easy. Mmm.

Neil: You, too.

Nikki: I'll see you at a meeting.

Neil: Yeah. For sure.

Nikki: Okay.

Devon: This is the best news I could hope for.

Paul: So, Victor... are you the reason Neil just got away with murder?

Kelly: You know, before my son, Sam, died, whenever anything bad or... a sad thing happened, I would tell him to think of it like a story. You just...put it away now. You never have to think of it again. That's what Phyllis is. She's a horror story... that has finally come to an end. From now on... the only story that we're gonna be telling... is our own.

Abby: I wish someone would start at the beginning, because none of this is making sense.

Jack: Let me see if I can help you out, Abby. This was supposed to be a cocktail party, a "we just got married, come celebrate with us" shindig. But, apparently, it's my going-away party. My brother and sister want me out of the picture.

Billy: Jack, that is not true.

Jack: What they seem to have forgotten is that I am still head of this family, head of the company, and I make these decisions.

Ashley: Actually, Jack, you're supposed to consult with us before you make those decisions, and, frankly, your decision-making has been questionable of late.

Phyllis: Things are not always as they look.

Jack: Ooh, there's my girl.

Ashley: Would you please just consider taking a leave of absence so that Victor can't use this to his advantage?

Abby: Yeah. Why hasn't he? This is his golden opportunity to put uncle Jack behind bars.

Billy: Maybe he has more to gain by keeping his mouth shut.

Kyle: You mean Victor has something on him so he can manipulate dad. But dad would never do Victor's bidding. Would you?

Jack: I have considered making a deal, if only as a kind of "why can't we all get along?" Kind of concession, but my brother and sister don't seem to like the idea.

Billy: Can you blame us? You'd be making a deal with the devil. No offense, Abbs.

Abby: No, I'm used to it. When it comes to business, my dad is ruthless.

Billy: Which is why I've come around to Ashley's way of thinking. Jack, you should step down.

Jack: Is that what you think?

Billy: Yeah.

Jack: You know what I think? You're fired.

Jack: Oh, there's my sparkling water.

Ashley: Jack, you are overreacting.

Abby: Billy's just worried about you.

Billy: You can't do this.

Jack: Sure, I can, as long as I'm running things. And I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon, so if you don't like the way Jabot's being run, go find another job.

Kyle: Aren't you being just a little bit tough on him, dad?

Jack: No. Billy has to get with the times. You all do. This is a new era for Jabot. The war with Victor Newman is over. I called a truce.

Ashley: You can damn well guarantee that Victor hasn't.

Jack: Well, all that will change once we've made a deal. Come on! Think of this as a new beginning, a new start! Look, my getting away with my gorgeous and sexy bride changed me. She can tell you that. Sexiest woman on earth, who keeps proving that to me again and again.

Abby: Oh, uncle Jack, please stop.

Billy: I'm sorry. Are you okay with this? Does this seem normal to you?

Phyllis: Jack feels good about things. I am happy that he's happy.

Billy: Phyllis, this is not like you. Has the whole world gone mad? Look, I am not going to let Jabot crumble because you want to play nice with Victor, and I'm certainly not going to let you put our dad's legacy at risk.

Jack: Hmm. Obviously, you feel the same way. How 'bout you two?

Kyle: You know what, dad? Ever since I could understand, you always told us that Jabot was in our blood. Now you're telling us that, uh, we should chill and let whatever happens happen? Yeah, I don't know what to think.

Abby: Me, either. Look, I would love nothing more than for Newman and Jabot to join forces and live happily ever after, but I don't believe in fairy tales, and neither does my dad.

Jack: Well, there's my answer. They're all traitors. Get the hell out of my house.

Ashley: Jack!

Abby: What?!

Kyle: What? Dad, calm down.

Billy: Jack, listen to reason.

Jack: All of you, get out -- now! Out!

Ashley: You cannot be serious with this.

Billy: That's classy, Jack -- real classy.

Ashley: You haven't heard the last of this.

Jack: Hey! What do you say we go to the club and play some tennis?

Phyllis: Jack, you just threw out your family out of our house.

Jack: Yeah. They asked for it.

Phyllis: Because they're scared to death that you're gonna make a deal with Victor. I mean, it's a legitimate concern, especially considering what he's capable of.

Jack: He's also capable of helping you out of a coma, of helping you out of your legal problems, of keeping Kelly away from us.

Phyllis: Is this what this is about? Is this about repayment?

Jack: Maybe in part. In the plane, on the way home, you said you would support me, that you were on my side, that you were with me. Did you mean that?

Phyllis: Always.

Jack: Good.

Jack: [Grunting]

[Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" plays]

Kelly: They're playing our song! Do you remember this? Our first date -- the concert in the park, when we discovered how much we both loved Vivaldi? Just listen, Jack. Listen and let the music take you back...to where our story began. [Chuckles]

Victor: To answer your rather impertinent question, I had nothing to do with the ADA.

Paul: So, you didn't speak with the ADA?

Victor: No, I did not.

Paul: You didn't make any arrangement with him?

Victor: And if it makes you feel any better, you talk to him yourself.

Paul: Nothing's gonna make me feel better.

Nikki: Paul, I am so sorry.

Paul: Save it, Nikki. For your own sake, you'd better be telling the truth.

Victor: Don't you threaten me!

Paul: That's a promise.

Nikki: Victor?

Victor: What?

Nikki: Are you telling the truth?

Victor: I had nothing to do with the plea bargain, all right?

[Cell phone chimes]

Victor: He is -- he is becoming outrageous.

Nikki: He's upset.

Victor: I know he's upset. No excuse. I need to take this, all right?

Nikki: All right.

Victor: I'll see you at home.

Nikki: All right.

Paul: What the hell were you thinking?! We agreed not to put a deal on the table! Chris made that more than clear!

Winston: The case was going against us.

Paul: Oh, bull! You had barely started!

Winston: There was no foul play. What winters did was an accident.

Paul: Who got to you?

Winston: No one.

Paul: Nobody talked to you about this or promised you something in return?

Winston: This is entirely my decision. The guy didn't deserve to do time.

Paul: I'll tell that to the DA. But I promise you, from now on, she's not gonna make your job any easier, if you even have a job after this.

Devon: Hilary. You made that happen in there, didn't you? You got to Mobley and convinced him to offer a plea deal, and don't bother telling me you didn't, because I saw the way you two were looking at each other.

Hilary: I told you I would do anything to help Neil.

Devon: So, you did the assistant DA? You used him just like you used me. Wow. Well, congratulations. You got what you wanted, and so did I. And now I never have to look in your face again.

Hilary: It's not the same! It was -- it was never the same.

Devon: What are you talking about? What's not the same?

Hilary: What you said about me using the ADA how I used you.

Devon: Right. You slept with him to get what you wanted. How is that any different?

Hilary: It's different because...I loved you. I still love you.

Lily: To truth and justice. Long may it prevail.

Leslie: Yes, and to double chocolate cupcakes. May God prevent them from going directly to my hips.

Lily: Oh, please. I'll second that. Thank you.

[Both laugh]

Cane: So, Neil, you can finally go back to living your life.

Lily: Yeah. You can do whatever you want. Nothing is holding you back.

Neil: No. Not a thing.

Cane: Well, on that note, I'm out of coffee, and I'm gonna get a little bit more.

Lily: Mm. I'll help you.

Leslie: Okay. Something's bothering you. I can tell. What is it? Is it the length of community service, probation?

Neil: No. I'm happy to do my part. What I don't understand is what happened in that courtroom. What caused the ADA to flip? Was it money? Did Devon pay him off?

Leslie: No, Winston's not the type of guy to take a bribe.

Neil: Everybody has their breaking point, right? And Devon has a boatload of money. It makes sense.

Leslie: Mnh-mnh. No. Maybe so, but the ADA has big aspirations. He's not gonna put that in jeopardy. His career trumps his bank account.

Neil: Hmm. Blackmail, then, right? Victor -- Victor must have done something.

Leslie: You know what? We can throw out guesses all day, Neil, but, really, what difference does it make? You got a gift. Take it and don't look back. I'm telling you, Neil, move on. The fewer questions you ask, the better.

Abby: So, are we all fired, or just Billy?

Kyle: Ugh. Beats me.

Abby: Because I really don't want to be fired.

Ashley: Nobody's leaving.

Billy: Yeah? How do you plan on making that happen?

Ashley: I'm calling an official board meeting. If Jack won't leave willingly, we're gonna vote him out.

Abby: But why is uncle Jack doing this? It's just not like him to play into dad's hands.

Jack: [Thinking] What the hell is this?

Kelly: Now, I know you're hurting, but don't worry. I'm gonna make it all better.

Jack: No. N-n-- oh, God.

Kelly: See? That feels good, doesn't it? Mmm. I just want you to tell me how much. [Breathes heavily] Okay. If I take this gag off, you have to promise me not to say anything hurtful, 'cause I've been hurt too much already, Jack. You promise? Okay. Okay. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm, Jack.

Victor: I am not happy with you at all. You came back two days early, contrary to my instructions. I will not be disobeyed again. You got that?

Jack: Relax. Everything's gonna work out fine. They seem to think I'm making a deal with the devil. Believe me, I'll show them who's the boss.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Stitch: We need to talk.

Victoria: About Abby?

Stitch: About us and where we stand.

Jack: What?

Phyllis: Have you been drinking?

Jack: You can beat Victor. Let's beat him together -- you and me, together.
