Episode # 10640 ~ Dylan opens up to Avery. Someone is out to get Sharon. Jack & Ashley talk about the family secret that her biological father was Brent Davis.
Provided By Suzanne
Paul: Dylan, are you still there?
Dylan: Yeah.
Paul: I'll meet you at the station.
Dylan: Uh, when?
Paul: Well, as soon as you can get here.
Dylan: I'll be there, uh, just not right away.
Paul: So, what's the holdup?
Dylan: I need to finish up something first.
Paul: Let me make something crystal-clear here. I just got an earful from the rest of the co-conspirators that have been covering up Austin's murder. And I'm not asking you, I'm telling you, get down here now. Don't make things worse for yourself, or for Sharon.
Dylan: [Sighs]
Noah: Hey, thanks for letting me stay tonight. Going home is, um... [Clicks tongue]
Nick: We understand.
Sharon: You can stay here as long as you want, or you can stay at your dad's. Whatever you want, for as long as you want.
Nick: We love you so much.
Noah: Yeah. I know.
Nick: Listen, I got to go and check on faith and make sure the sitter can stay.
Noah: No, you don't have to do that, dad. I'm -- I'm fine.
Nick: Hey. I need to be with you.
Sharon: Noah, I am so sorry. Courtney was such a lovely girl.
Noah: Hey, mom.
Sharon: Yeah. What is it?
Noah: It is killing me to do this right now.
Sharon: I know. I know. This is so hard. But we are going to get through this.
Noah: No, mom, listen to me. Look, there's just -- there's been so much talk and conjecture and theories, and I-I'm begging you. I need to know.
Sharon: Okay. What is it? I'll do anything. What do you need?
Noah: Please tell me that you didn't have anything to do with Courtney's death.
Jack: I'm sure you are all wondering why I brought you here.
Phyllis: Oh, you did not just say that.
Ashley: Please spare us the theatrics.
Billy: This is about Victor, right?
Phyllis: [Sighs]
Jack: It is.
Billy: Good, 'cause I'm itching to prove that that jackass was behind the hack into Jabot.
Ashley: What do you think, Phyllis? You know about computers.
Phyllis: Well, from what I've seen and heard so far, if it was Victor, he didn't leave anything traceable behind.
Jack: I'm not sure the hack is what we should be focused on.
Billy: Well, what else is there?
Jack: I don't know. But I am certain Victor is up to something much, much bigger.
Victoria: [Laughs]
Abby: They're laughing. They don't know yet.
Stitch: Yeah, well, they will soon enough.
Abby: They're my family. They're -- they're Noah's family. I should tell them.
Stitch: Okay, chief Williams told us not to tell anyone about the murders.
Abby: He meant the details. The news about Courtney's death will be out soon enough. I mean, I don't want my dad and sister to find out that way.
Stitch: Okay, you can't tell them the whole story.
Abby: I won't.
Stitch: No slip-ups, okay? N-nothing that'll arouse suspicion.
Abby: All right.
Stitch: I'm serious, Abby. Your friends' lives, your life, they depend on this.
Abby: Lethal gag order. I got it.
Victoria: [Laughing] No.
Victor: [Laughs] Oh?
Victoria: Hey, hi!
Victor: Hi! What a surprise.
Victoria: I-I thought you would've left town by now.
Stitch: Yeah, we had to, um, put off, uh, picking up my sister's ashes.
Victoria: You did? Why?
Victor: What happened, sweetheart?
Avery: Dylan?
Dylan: Yeah, it's me! [Sighs]
Avery: Were you with Sharon this whole time? I mean, she must've been upset about Courtney.
Dylan: Yeah. Yeah, she was. After I broke the news, she, uh, went straight to the police station to be with Noah.
Avery: Oh, that's good.
Dylan: Yeah, actually, I'm headed there myself right now.
Avery: The police station? Why? I mean, does -- does Sharon need legal representation like you thought?
Dylan: Not exactly.
Avery: Then what? Dylan, if you don't tell me what's going on, I can't help her.
Dylan: I mean, you and Sharon aren't exactly pals. I mean, would you really help her?
Avery: [Sighs] If you strongly believe in her innocence, I would consider it. But I need to know all the facts.
Dylan: If I involve you in this... you could be forced to go to the police.
Avery: Well, then, you make it official. You hire me.
Dylan: [Sighs]
Avery: I hope you know I charge more than this. That bad?
Dylan: See for yourself.
Avery: What is that?
Dylan: [Sighs] It's possibly a murder weapon.
Phyllis: So, this huge thing you think Victor is after --
Jack: Our company.
Ashley: He seems to think we're just gonna hand it over to him.
Jack: Well, we're not going to hand it over to him. But he does have some kind of master plan.
Ashley: Of course he does. He always does.
Jack: Yeah, well, the question is, how do we offset that without knowing what it is?
Billy: Why don't we just hack back?
Phyllis: Well, that's not that easy.
Billy: Well, there's got to be some way to figure out what Victor was digging for. W-we need to prove that he hacked us, right?
Jack: And for what? Jabot has no secrets that are worth all the trouble he would go to to unearth them.
Phyllis: He already had your biggest prize of all.
Ashley: Exactly -- the hex formula. He stole it, he knocked it off, and then he ended up shelving the whole thing.
Phyllis: Maybe he wasn't looking for a business secret, but a personal one.
Ashley: The Abbotts don't have any family secrets. Or do we?
Jack: Certainly not from me.
Billy: Well, hell, everybody already knows my business.
Phyllis: I was on a yearlong coma sabbatical, so no chance to do anything scandal-worthy.
Ashley: Well, it's sad to say, but the Abbotts have had their dirty laundry publicly flying in the wind far too long now.
Billy: I don't know that that's entirely true. The Abbott family secret pool has never been entirely drained. Right, Jack?
Jack: Right.
Billy: Okay. I'm gonna let you guys keep racking your brains about Victor's grand scheme. Meanwhile, I'm gonna go see if I can nail him for this latest maneuver -- the, uh, "hack."
Ashley: Bye, Billy.
Billy: See you guys.
Phyllis: Jack, is something --
[Cell phone rings]
Phyllis: Hey, summer. Hi, honey. What? I can't understand what you're saying. What?
Ashley: What's going on?
Jack: You're not entirely right about there being no Abbott family secrets.
Ashley: What -- are you hiding something?
Jack: No, you are.
Ashley: What Abbott secret am I hiding?
Jack: The one about your not truly being an Abbott.
Victor: Where's Noah now?
Abby: With Nick and Sharon.
Victoria: How is he doing?
Abby: He's holding up the best he can.
Victor: Let me give her a call.
Abby: He wanted to be alone. You might want to wait.
Victor: No, sweetheart. He's my grandson. I just want to know how he's doing, okay?
Victoria: [Sighs]
Stitch: Abby, uh, you had a rough day. We should probably head up to the suite.
Victoria: Oh, hey. I'd like to have a word with you, if you don't mind.
Stitch: Abby shouldn't be alone.
Abby: No, I-I can get upstairs unguarded. Um, you'll be close enough to hear me scream.
Victoria: You know, Abby doesn't seem shaken up. She seems really frightened.
Stitch: Well, that's because whoever attacked her is still out there.
Victoria: I'm really grateful to you, Ben, for looking out for my sister, for being a bodyguard to her.
Kevin: Hey, uh, I got your message, chief. I was surprised to hear from you.
Paul: I'm mad as hell at you, Kevin.
Kevin: Are you firing me?
Paul: It's what you deserve, and you know it. But I can't afford to. I need you too much right now. Take a look at this. Whole system's down.
Kevin: Sheesh. They really did a number on it.
Paul: Yep.
[Keyboard clacking] And I can't risk calling outside computer help because I'm trying to keep a lid on a double murder investigation.
Kevin: Right. Well, then, let me help.
Paul: Just work your magic and -- and restore that bucket of microchips.
Kevin: Um, it's -- it's gonna take a while, and there's no guarantee I can recover what's been lost.
Paul: You know, Kevin, if you're as good as you're always claiming to be, you'll find out what Courtney uncovered that got her killed.
Sharon: How could you even think that I --
Noah: I don't want to think that, mom. But it just keeps on coming back at me. And you've been so nervous and scattered. You haven't been yourself.
Sharon: Well, I'm not homicidal.
Noah: Almost everyone --
everyone -- thinks that you're guilty.
Sharon: Everyone? Who? Summer? She has an ax to grind. And who else? Kyle? He has a crush on her, so whatever she thinks, he goes along with it. And who else? Dylan? Yeah, he has his doubts, but he says he's trying to help me, so that proves --
Noah: How about the chief of police?
Sharon: Paul thinks I did this?
Noah: Kevin was able to decrypt your interview video.
Sharon: I know. Dylan told me.
Noah: And we heard everything that you accused dad of doing. And now chief Williams knows it, too.
Sharon: [Sighs] I was really hoping that we could just forget about that, put it behind us, especially today.
Noah: Forget about that? Today is why we cannot keep on pretending that things haven't been said and done! Whoever killed Austin killed Courtney, too, probably because she found the truth.
Sharon: She was the woman you loved. Do you honestly believe --
Noah: I have been defending you, mom! I have been telling everybody that you are innocent, that you could never do anything like that.
Sharon: And that is right. You are absolutely right.
Noah: Well, you burned down the ranch house. I didn't think you could do that. And you lied about summer's real father.
Sharon: Well, you know why I did those things.
Noah: Don't go there.
Sharon: Noah?!
Noah: Don't! Do not say it's because you were sick! Being sick could never be an excuse for this. I mean, are you really that messed up that you can't see that?!
Nick: Noah! That's enough.
Nick: Noah, I know you're in a lot of pain right now, but you can't take it out on your mom.
Noah: Oh. Well, of course you're defending her. I really shouldn't be surprised, should I? I mean, you're just as bad as she is.
Nick: Look, I don't know where that came from, but I don't want to fight with you. You need us, and we need to be pulling together as a family.
Noah: Right, because that is the Newman family policy, isn't it? Commit a crime, shut up, and cover it up.
Nick: What are you talking about?
Sharon: Noah, please don't.
Noah: Come on, mom. Dad's gonna find out soon enough anyways. Too many people know. They've all seen the interview.
Nick: What interview?
Noah: Mom spilled her guts out to Austin.
Nick: I-I-I don't understand.
Noah: Well, she told all about how you wrecked that girl's life back in high school.
Dylan: There's just a lot of evidence pointing to Sharon.
Avery: For Austin's murder?
Dylan: And maybe Courtney's.
Avery: Okay, this doesn't make any sense. What would Sharon's motive be?
Dylan: I don't even want to get into that unless we have to.
Avery: We have to if she's charged.
Dylan: Yeah, but before that happens, maybe we can just prove that Sharon's being framed.
Avery: And is that the case?
Dylan: Okay. She saw someone throw an object from the car down the road from the cabin the night Austin was murdered. I mean, that -- that tire iron could be the real murder weapon thrown by the killer.
Avery: Or it could be a story Sharon made up because she has no alibi for either murder.
Dylan: No, the tire iron backs up her story.
Avery: It backs up nothing. Someone could've left that on the side of the road that had an actual flat tire, or Sharon could've tossed it herself.
Dylan: There's only one way to find out. Get it tested for blood and fingerprints.
Avery: You want me to do that?
Avery: Come on, Avery. You're -- you have the connections.
Avery: Dylan, that's crossing a line.
Dylan: Avery, somebody's got to be able to do that without contacting the authorities.
Avery: Okay, the authorities involve your father. What if Paul finds out?
Dylan: I understand what's at stake. And it doesn't change what I'm asking. Will you please help me?
Avery: Dylan, this is too important. I can't make this decision without having all the facts.
Dylan: Okay, okay. What else do you need to know?
Avery: I need to know why anyone would think Sharon could commit cold-blooded murder twice.
Ashley: Why are you bringing up my paternity?
Jack: I -- it was the last thing on my mind until you said that thing about all Abbott family secrets being public.
Ashley: Look, I am an Abbott.
Jack: I know that.
Ashley: And what happened between our mother, that affair she had -- nobody even knew about it for years, Jack.
Jack: No one cares. You are my sister. You are an Abbott in almost every way.
Ashley: In almost every way?
Jack: Except the one way Victor can exploit.
Ashley: How do you think he could use this to come after our company?
Jack: Stir up some kind of salacious scandal about our mother, say that we're all phonies, that we've been lying to our consumers all this time. It's a public relations nightmare.
Ashley: Or...?
Jack: Or... [Sighs] Who knows how the man's mind works.
Ashley: You know. You know. How could he come after us?
Jack: By trying to cause infighting.
Ashley: Abby.
Jack: Abby is a perfect example. Look. [Sighs] She would be rocked by this. She would be so shaken, she -- she might even change sides feeling that she'd been lied to her whole life.
Ashley: Shh! Just be quiet. Victor has known about my paternity for years. He's been nothing but supportive, Jack.
Jack: He had nothing to gain before.
Ashley: He has too much respect for me! He has too much respect for my daughter. It would crush her to find out that dad wasn't her biological grandfather.
Jack: And he would be all too happy to offer her solace.
Ashley: Oh, my god.
Jack: He has nothing to lose here.
Ashley: Oh, my god. [Voice breaking] But do you think he would actually hurt me like that just to get our company?
Jack: I did. Look, all I'm saying is don't put Victor past this. He's taking this to a whole new level. All bets are off.
Ashley: [Crying]
Victor: Did it work out with the fingerprints, as we discussed? Good. [Sighs]
Billy: Hey, Kev, I need your help.
Kevin: Kind of busy here, Billy. This whole system is fried.
Billy: I will pay you top dollar for technical services provided.
Kevin: Well, as much as I would like to take a large chunk of your money, every move I make is being monitored.
Billy: Question -- does paranoia automatically come with the "hacker" title?
Kevin: I'm not being paranoid. Paul is keeping close tabs. I already got suspended once this week.
Billy: Great! You can do it on your downtime.
Kevin: Billy, I don't have any of that.
Billy: Come on, Kevin. This is important.
Kevin: Look, I am trying to recover files for an organization whose primary focus is public safety. Everyone in here keeps everyone in town safe. Without these files, we're talking about a breakdown of social order, complete chaos. We don't want that. So what could be more important?
Billy: Taking down Victor Newman?
Victoria: [Sighs]
Stitch: How you doing, Vick?
Victoria: I'm good. I'm good. It's just... you know, it's a little strange being so out of touch with you.
Stitch: It's not by choice.
Victoria: No! No, I understand. I know with work and looking out for Abby 24/7, it's like... I know. [Sighs]
Stitch: Well, hey, keep that understanding handy, because... I may have to stay with Abby longer than we originally planned.
Victoria: Of course, yeah. I mean, you're really not gonna get any arguments from me. Her security is top priority. Of course.
Stitch: I'm sorry.
Victoria: No! Don't be sorry. You and I -- we're gonna find time for each other whenever we can, right?
Stitch: Whenever we can.
Nick: You did an interview?
Sharon: I can explain.
Nick: No, I'm gonna focus on my son right now...and then we can talk about that later.
Noah: Doesn't matter.
Nick: No, it does matter, because you need to know, I deeply regret what happened when I was in high school.
Noah: Okay. Let's just drop it.
Nick: And at the time, son, I had no idea anything was being covered up.
Noah: I don't have the patience or the energy to deal with your past mistakes right now, dad. The woman I was supposed to marry today is dead! And if the past is any lesson, her killer's just gonna get away with it.
Nick: So is that what I walked in on? You think your mother had something to do with Courtney's death?
Noah: No, mom. No, I-I don't think that. I don't.
Sharon: I know. It's okay. You're just upset right now.
Noah: I shouldn't be asking you that, right? I mean, it's just, people keep on bringing these questions to me, and they're just, like...
Sharon: [Crying] Believe me, I did not do that. I would never hurt Courtney or Austin.
Nick: Why would you ever think that, that your mother could ever hurt Courtney?
Sharon: People are just jumping to these ludicrous conclusions right now!
Noah: Austin was murdered, too.
Nick: I thought that was an accident.
Noah: No. Courtney found out the truth. And somebody killed her before she could tell anyone.
Nick: What does that have to do with your mother?
Noah: Well, mom told Austin your secret about the high-school pool party, and so now they're saying that could've given mom motive.
Dylan: In the interview she gave Austin, Sharon revealed a secret from nick's past.
Avery: What secret?
Dylan: That -- that doesn't even matter at this point, but she used it to get more visitation with faith.
Avery: She's blackmailing Nick?!
Dylan: I know, I know. It's not right.
Avery: It's abhorrent, Dylan.
Dylan: But that's not a reason for an innocent woman to be charged with murder, is it?
Avery: [Sighs]
Dylan: Avery, I don't think Sharon did this. Just help me, and get that -- get that tire iron tested.
[Knock on door]
Dylan: It's Paul. Hey, Paul. I didn't expect you here. I was gonna meet you at the station.
Paul: Well, you haven't left, and I'm here. Can I come in?
Ashley: [Voice breaking the father who I don't know, except that he was some golden boy at the country club, probably making it with half of the rich women there. And that is my natural father. And those are the people that I'm a part of. I mean, is it any wonder why I'm is it any wonder that I-I don't know who I am or what I'm going to become? Tell me. Don't I deserve to be terrified?
Jack: Hey. Talk to me. What are you thinking?
Ashley: Still trying to recover from that comment you made about me being an Abbott in
almost every way.
Jack: Can I make it up to you?
Ashley: Go ahead and try.
Jack: How about I make you a promise? I will not allow your life to be blown up in public. I protect my family. [Voice breaking] You are my family in every way that matters to me. No "almost" about it.
Ashley: [Sniffles]
Jack: Hey. Summer all right?
Phyllis: Nope. That's why I was on the phone so long -- trying to calm her down.
Jack: What do you mean? What happened?
Phyllis: She got some real bad news today. One of her friends, Courtney, is dead.
Jack: Dead?
Ashley: Courtney? You mean Noah's fiancée?
Jack: What happened?
Phyllis: I don't know. I don't have the whole story.
Ashley: Oh, my god. I got to go see Abby.
Jack: Yeah, yeah. Oh, my goodness. Summer must be inconsolable. She's lost her husband now, and her best friend?
Phyllis: I'm gonna go over there. I will probably spend the night.
Jack: Okay, yeah. I got it. I got it.
Phyllis: Okay? Jack... [Sighs]
Jack: Hey, I know. I know. It is a rough time. We will get summer through it, and then we will get back to our wedding.
Phyllis: Honey, we have to call it off.
Paul: Can I come in?
Dylan: Sure. Come on in.
Avery: Can I get you something to drink, Paul?
Paul: Uh, no, thanks. I just need to spend some time alone with Dylan.
Avery: I don't think that's such a good idea.
Paul: Oh, geez. You're already lawyered up?
Dylan: I didn't want to keep anything from Avery. I filled her in on what happened to Austin.
Paul: You know, Dylan... [Scoffs] ...I really hate where this is going.
Dylan: I-I'm sorry. It just, it can't -- it can't be helped.
Paul: Well, I thought we made some -- some great strides as father and son. And yet, here we are again -- another interrogation.
Dylan: Paul, I-I hate it as much as you do.
Paul: Well, then, why didn't you come to me with the truth, Dylan? I mean, I-I kind of understand why the kids lied to me. They were scared. And even stitch. He has his own reasons for being worried about the law. But you and I are family. I mean, admittedly, new family, but we're still flesh and blood. So, why? What -- y-you didn't feel as though you could trust me?
Dylan: No, I just -- I heard about all the threats. I just -- I heard that Abby was hospitalized with the threat not to go to the cops. The killer could've done much worse to her.
Paul: Right, so you thought you'd look into it yourself.
Dylan: Yes, and I noticed that you haven't enlisted the entire department to work these two murders.
Paul: No, I didn't. But I'm the chief of police. That's my prerogative.
Dylan: Right, and we both want to keep summer and Noah and the rest of those kids alive. You're gonna follow up with your investigation, and I'm gonna just --
Avery: Not do anything illegal. That was not an admission of guilt by my client.
Paul: Thanks for that, Avery. Well, Dylan, let me give you a piece of free advice. Back off.
Dylan: I can't do that.
Paul: I can keep this investigation under the radar. I have resources at my disposal that you don't. And you working this case all alone like some vigilante just could get someone else killed!
Dylan: Yeah, I want to get this guy just as much as you do.
Paul: So you've already determined that it's a guy? You've eliminated "she"?
Dylan: What -- s-somebody like Sharon? I know summer accused Sharon. That's for personal reasons. Sharon is innocent.
Paul: And how can you be sure?
Dylan: Because she has an alibi for both murders. Me.
Sharon: Noah... you have to believe me. I didn't kill Austin or Courtney. [Crying] You know I was all for the wedding. You heard me. I gave my blessing to Courtney.
Noah: I know. I-I know.
Nick: Noah, look inside your heart. You can't possibly believe your mother would ever hurt the woman you were planning to marry.
Noah: I know. I'm just -- I'm just so frustrated and wrecked and... and angry. I'm so...so angry. [Crying] Who could do this to Courtney, you know? I mean, it's... who could do this to her? [Sobbing]
[Knock on door]
Abby: Who's there?
Ashley: It's your mom.
Abby: Hi.
Ashley: Oh, my god. Honey, I heard about Courtney. Are you okay?
Abby: It's okay, it's okay. I have you and the Abbott family to count on, and -- and stitch has been great, too, with the police and everything.
Ashley: What do you mean, with the police? Why were you talking to the police? Is this connected to the mugging somehow, what happened to Courtney?
Abby: No. No. Um...
Ashley: Honey, what aren't you telling me? Why were you talking to the police? Please, tell me why were you talking to the police.
Stitch: They wanted to talk to Abby because she's the one who found the body.
Dylan: I was -- I was with Sharon the night Austin was killed, at her place with faith.
Paul: And when Courtney was killed?
Dylan: Yes.
Paul: You know, Dylan, as your father, I would like to take you at your word. But as chief of police, I'm going to have to look into this alibi a little further.
Dylan: That's, uh -- that's okay. I'm not happy about it, but I do understand that.
Paul: Well, I'm not happy about any of this, Dylan. I've got to go. I have to give a very difficult press conference.
Dylan: Yeah, Paul, look. I'm -- I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you.
Avery: Why did you lie about being with Sharon?
Dylan: Well, to buy some time.
Avery: Paul's right. What you're trying to do -- it's reckless and dangerous. You don't owe Sharon anything, certainly not your life.
Dylan: It's not gonna come to that, but I can't abandon Sharon right now.
Avery: But you're committing crimes, Dylan! You're lying to the police, obstructing justice. Is Sharon really worth all this?
Dylan: You know, that's a strange question coming from an attorney who's dedicated to the innocence foundation.
Avery: Oh, that's not fair.
Dylan: Why am I the only one in town presuming Sharon's innocent? Isn't that how it's supposed to work?
Avery: Yes, presumed innocent until proven guilty. [Sighs] I'll get this tested.
Sharon: Did he say anything else?
Nick: Just that Paul told him not to talk about this to anyone else. He's trying to keep the kids safe.
Sharon: Thank you, Nick.
Nick: Don't thank me.
Sharon: [Sighs] [Voice breaking] Look, I know you're really upset right now, it means a lot to me that you believe in me.
Nick: I'm gonna make this very clear for what I said in front of him was for his sake. To find out you are blackmailing me is probably the last thing he needs right
Sharon: You were trying to take my daughter away from me.
Nick: You told me what happened years ago would stay between you, me, and my father. You never said anything about an interview.
Sharon: I tried to take the interview back. I tried to get Austin to delete it, but he wouldn't. And then he died, and I figured w would -- I figured the video would die along with him, and no one would ever see it!
Nick: Well, it was seen. And now my son thinks the worst of me.
Sharon: No, he doesn't. He would never. He's just -- he right now over Courtney.
Nick: I'm tired of this. If you're gonna push your kids right out of your life, Sharon. And I'm not gonna help you get them back.
[Door shuts]
Ashley: Oh, my god. You found Courtney's body? Why didn't you call me? Did you try to help her? Were you protecting
Abby: Yes, yes, he did! Stitch has been my rock through this whole thing.
Stitch: Abby, it's all right.
Abby: No, it's not all right, and I am done answering these questions!
Ashley: Abby, Abby, you haven't answered my questions! [Sighs] I don't want to upset her, but, obviously, I'm worried.
Stitch: I'll go talk to her.
Victoria: No, it's okay. Le
Stitch: Okay.
Ashley: This is more than you just doing a favor for Victoria, isn't it?
Stitch: I don't want anything to happen to Abby.
Ashley: I'm talking about the rest of it. I'm talking about all the looks between you and Abby. You really care about her, don't you?
Stitch: Yeah, I do.
Kevin: I'm intrigued by the challenge and possibility of taking down Victor Newman.
Billy: Great, so you'll do it?
Kevin: Uh...this department, um, it's personal. It needs to be my priority right
Billy: What -- what exactly happened here?
Kevin: The system was hacked, sabotaged by a terminal virus.
Billy: Seems to be going around Genoa City. Jabot was just hacked, and Victor's claiming t was, too.
Kevin: You don't believe him?
Billy: No.
Kevin: All roads always lead to Victor.
Victor: Oh, what is being done to bring Noah's fiancée's killer to justice?
Paul: Well, Victor, you really don't have to worry about that. It's -- it's being handled.
Victor: Well, do that. Hope the investigation is conducted quietly and efficiently.
Paul: That's my intention.
Victor: All right. I hope the investigation doesn't become a circus... with the Newman family at the center of it.
Paul: [Sighs]
Victor: And I also hope that you won't turn this against the Newmans to get back at us for what happened to Christine.
Victoria: Okay. Well, Abby's sorry she got so emotional. She wants to see you. She'..
Ashley: Thank you.
Victoria: Sure.
Ashley: Excuse me.
Victoria: She'll be safe with Ashley for a little while.
Stitch: Yeah.
Victoria: I could stay and keep you company.
Stitch: Oh, I-I know you have things to do.
Victoria: Yeah, but this I should be here with you.
Stitch: You don't have to do that.
Victoria: I want to. Finding time for each other, right?
Stitch: Right.
Billy: So, the GCPD and Jabot are both dealing with hackers. And maybe the attacks are connected, but I can't think of any reason why Victor would want h hack the police computers.
Kevin: I might know one.
Billy: Yeah? Like what?
Kevin: You know, I will look into that Jabot hack for you.
Awesome, Kevin. Look, um, I'll -- I'll be in touch.
Kevin: Whoa, whoa. Hold up. Where are you -- where you headed?
Billy: Uh, to follow up on my own.
Kevin: Just be careful. This is turning into a dangerous game.
Jack: You want to call off the wedding?
Phyllis: Look, I don't want to cancel our wedding plans altogether. Now is not the time.
Jack: Because of what is happening with summer.
Phyllis: Yes. Honey, she needs me. And now we've got this stupid Victor?
Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'll stop you there. I will postpone things f summer's sake. But Victor is not deciding ourtete. No, we will help summer find will whisk you off to the wedding that we plan
Phyllis: Okay, I don't want my fiancé to be distracted with thoughts of this plotting.
Jack: I will be thinking only of my bride; besides, Billy and Ashley are perfectly capable of holding down the fort. Besides, if I take off, it might sabotage Victor's plan.
Phyllis: How do y that?
Jack: He won't want to fire the first volley without his favorite target in sight.
Paul: You know, I resent the implication that you think this case is being mishandled. Courtney is one of my own. And I will do everything in my power to see to it that her ays.
Victor: Good.
Paul: I'm on my way to give a presaw the killer in. So I don't need threats or demands from anybody, including those who might be possible suspects.
Victor: What the hell does that mean?
Paul: Justice will be served, no matter who's responsible.
Victor: I certainly hope so.
Nick: Hey, dad.
Victor: Hi, son. Um, how's Noah?
Nick: Not very good.
Victor: That poor boy. I just had the strangest conversation with Paul Williams. Saying something as if he was implicating me in -- in -- in this whole thing, as if I had a motive.
Sharon: I really can't deal with anyone right now.
Dylan: I found the object you saw thrown out of the car the night Austin was murdered.
Sharon: You did?
Dylan: Yes. It was a tire iron.
Sharon: [Gasps] Oh, my god. That's the murder weapon. That's evidence, Dylan. That could clear me. That -- oh, my gosh. Thank you.
Dylan: All right. All right.
Sharon: Thank you for believing in me enough to search the side of the road.
Dylan: Let's not get your hopes up yet. Avery's gonna have the tire iron tested.
Sharon: You told Avery about this?
Dylan: Yeah, she's bound by attorney/client privilege. And she can secretly have it tested for DNA, blood, and fingerprints.
Sharon: She's gonna find what I need to clear my name. I know it.
Dylan: There's something else to be concerned about. You remember the killer's headlights in your eyes.
Sharon: That's right.
Dylan: Well, that means the killer may have seen you. You're the only witness to him disposing of the weapon, and that puts you in a lot of danger.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Nick: What made you finally go for it?
Sage: You.

Adam: I didn't tell you everything.
