Episode # 10628 ~ Victor goes after Jabot; Sharon winds up in hot water.
Provided By Suzanne
Victor: Everything has been put in motion. There have been a few minor setbacks, but be ready to proceed, all right? Now, I hope you're ready to do your part. And I hope Jack Abbott is ready.
Jack: Yes, I'm ready. What's your big announcement.
Ashley: Victor pulled brash & sassy's love potion rip-off from the market.
Jack: After everything he went through to steal our formula?
Ashley: Yes. It makes absolutely no sense at all.
Jack: No, it doesn't. What is he up to?
[Cell phone rings]
Jack: Excuse me. Sorry. Hey, Paul. What's up? What? When? You're sure it was her?
Phyllis: Just a shampoo, cut, and blow-dry. Yes. With Diego. That's right. Great. I'll see you then. Bye. How the hell did you get in here?
Kelly: It's so nice that you have a stylist that you can trust, because really, when it comes down to it, it's all in the cut.
Noah: Mom, can you answer the question? What are you doing with that laptop?
Sharon: I was just gonna get on the internet. Um, faith's been asking about these leggings she wants, and apparently everyone's wearing them. I was just gonna see if there was a store nearby that carried them.
Summer: You could do that on your phone.
Sharon: Oh, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. But I didn't think you'd mind that I use your computer.
Summer: That's not Noah's computer.
Sharon: Oh. It isn't? It looked like it.
Kyle: It's Austin's, actually.
Sharon: Oh, I-I didn't know. I'm sorry.
Summer: She's lying.
Noah: Summer.
Summer: No, she knew it was Austin's computer. Why were you trying to look at it? What are you up to, Sharon?
Kevin: Are you sure it's here?
Mariah: No, I lost it. I don't know where it is.
Kevin: Well, why don't you just buy a new one?
Mariah: You've been hanging around rich people too much. I can't afford to just buy something every time I lose something.
Kevin: Uh, it's a phone charger, not a laptop.
Mariah: I don't own a laptop.
Kevin: Yeah, well, fortunately Austin did.
Mariah: Oh, does that mean Genoa city's resident hacker has found something else on it?
Kevin: Uh, excuse me. I'm an I.T. Analyst. And yes, I got a lot more stuff off Austin's computer.
Mariah: Tales from the crypt. I love it. What's Austin's story?
Kevin: Well, it turns out our Spielberg wannabe was deleting interview footage from the exposé he's doing on the Newmans and the Abbotts.
Mariah: Why would he be... Austin had information on those files that somebody didn't want revealed.
Kevin: Yeah. Somebody like stitch.
Mariah: Oh, my God. I can't believe that Abby told him that Austin was murdered! What am I saying? Actually, of course I can believe it! Abby can't keep her mouth shut any more than she can keep her hands off of other women's men.
Stitch: It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.
Victoria: What am I interrupting?
Sharon: I'm not up to anything, Summer.
Summer: Then what were you doing with Austin's computer?
Sharon: I told you. I thought it was Noah's.
Noah: Mom, you bought me my computer.
Sharon: Noah.
Kyle: Just tell us what's going on, Sharon.
Sharon: Can -- can we just talk about this at home, please?
Kyle: Summer deserves an explanation. What are you up to?
Sharon: Nothing!
Summer: You know what, Kyle? Just forget it. Okay, Sharon's obviously hiding something, and we all know how good she is at keeping secrets.
Noah: Knock it off, Summer. It was in the past.
Summer: Are you really gonna let him stand up for you again? God! You are unbelievable, Sharon.
Sharon: Okay, fine, you know what? I will tell you the truth! I know what's on Austin's computer.
Noah: You do?
Sharon: Interviews for the documentary he was making.
Summer: How do you know that?
Sharon: Because I'm one of the people he interviewed.
Stitch: No, of course you're not interrupting. Uh, Abby was just upset. You know, she's scared to death.
Victoria: Why were you upset? The mugger didn't come after you again, did he?
Abby: No, no, I haven't seen or heard anything from him.
Victoria: I don't understand. Why would you have heard from him?
Abby: I don't know. I'm just pretty rattled by the whole thing.
Victoria: Yeah, but if you haven't had any run-ins, why are you so upset? What's upsetting you?
Abby: Everything. Having been attacked, moving into this hotel to feel safe, I mean, running away from a stalker, all of it.
Victoria: I know. I'm so sorry, Abby.
Abby: No, I'm sorry. I've disrupted your life, and Ben's. And this whole thing has been driving me nuts. I kind of lost it.
Stitch: Yeah, I was just trying to calm her down.
Abby: Which he did. Having him in the room next door helps me feel a lot safer.
Victoria: Yeah, I'm sure it does.
Abby: Vicki, if this is too much for you...
Victoria: What are you talking about? This is not too much for me. I just -- you know, when I saw you in Ben's arms, I just was worried that something had happened. That's all.
Abby: Well, I'm a mess. That's what's wrong.
Victoria: Look, I'm glad that Ben is here to look out for you. It means a lot to me that you're taking care of my sister. But you know what? Maybe it's not enough.
Stitch: What do you mean?
Victoria: Well, I don't know. I mean, if Abby's this scared, then maybe she should have a private security detail looking out for her. I'm gonna see dad later on. I'll talk to him about it.
Stitch: No. No, no, no. Do not talk to Victor about this.
Victor: Your role in this is not without risk. But a wise man once said, "nothing great was ever achieved without an element of danger." Kelly Andrews has done her part. Now it's your turn. Jack Abbott's life will never be the same.
Phyllis: What do you want?
Kelly: I just want to finish this.
Phyllis: No, Kelly, you don't want to do this.
Kelly: Oh, yes, I do. I am so sick of this dance we've been doing, going around and around, fighting over Jack. So I'm gonna end it.
Phyllis: Then what? You're gonna be on the run. And eventually the police are gonna find you, and you are gonna be in prison for the rest of your life.
Kelly: Oh, but it'll be so worth it, because all I'll do in my cell is think of you lying on the ground bleeding to death, begging for Jack!
Phyllis: Okay, stop it. You're not gonna do that because you saw your son die, and you won't end another life.
Kelly: My son was an innocent, little boy, and you are a vicious, evil monster who deserves to die!
Phyllis: Jack!
Kelly: Jack can't help you now, sweetheart. No one can.
Phyllis: [Gasps] [Exhales sharply]
[Door unlocks]
[Door closes]
Phyllis: Aah!
Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! H-hold on! What happened?
Phyllis: Oh, my God, Jack. It's you.
Jack: Yeah, yeah. Who did you think it was? Give me that.
Phyllis: Nobody.
Jack: Nobody? You were about to impale nobody with a fireplace poker? Did you see your doctor today?
Phyllis: I did. I did. I'm fine. I'm fine.
Jack: You're fine?
Phyllis: Yeah, I-I just had a nightmare. Just a bad dream.
Jack: About Kelly?
Phyllis: [Sighs] I-I don't understand how they could let her out on bail, you know. She's free now. She's free now to hit me over the head with, like, a champagne bottle or even worse.
Jack: That's why I came home. I have some news to share with you.
Phyllis: Oh, my God. What?
Jack: A woman matching Kelly's description was seen boarding a plane to Abu Dhabi.
Phyllis: She jumped bail?
Jack: Yes, and I'm sure she was helped by a certain mustached billionaire we know.
Phyllis: [Sighs] See, she had no intention of going to prison. This was all just a plan to lure us into a false sense of security, Jack.
Jack: Don't let your mind start spinning now.
Phyllis: No, no, no. She said that she still loves you. And I believe in that twisted brain of hers, she feels if she does away with me, she can still have you!
Jack: Stop, stop. Don't get carried away.
Phyllis: You are underestimating her, Jack.
Jack: I know she's done some terrible things in the past. I honestly do not think she's capable of murder.
Phyllis: What if you're wrong?
Jack: Paul said this is a legitimate sighting. The Abu Dhabi police are going to arrest her the moment she steps off the plane. You're safe. She can't hurt you. I won't let her.
Victoria: Why don't you want me to talk to dad about getting a security guard for Abby? I don't understand.
Stitch: I contacted a security firm, you know. I'll -- I'll handle it. You know how your dad gets.
Victoria: Protective. I don't see why that should be a problem.
Abby: No, if dad thinks I'm freaking out over this mugger still, he'll call out the national guard.
Victoria: I'm sure that dad will just assign one of his guys to you.
Abby: No, he won't just settle for one guy. He'll -- he'll surround me with guards, and I won't be able to go to coffee or lunch or even work without a watch dog.
Victoria: Well, if it keeps you safe...
Abby: No, just -- I can't handle being hovered over 24/7.
[Cell phone rings]
Abby: Hello?
Ashley: Hey, honey. Where are you? Ben's not at work, either.
Abby: Mom, hey, sorry. We're on our way.
Ashley: Ben's with you?
Abby: Yeah, um... you know what? Uh, we'll -- we'll be right there.
Ashley: Okay, well, hurry up. There's something I want to show you.
Abby: Um, that was mom. She needs us at Jabot ASAP. You know what? I'm gonna go fix my face real quick.
Stitch: You sure you're okay with this?
Victoria: Yeah, it's your job.
Stitch: No, no, I mean watching over Abby. You know, what you saw when you walked in, I wasn't --
Victoria: No, there's no need to explain. I told you. I'm really grateful that you're looking out for my sister right now.
Stitch: It's just for a little while.
Victoria: Yeah. Until we know she's not in any danger.
Abby: All set. I'll go get the elevator. Bye.
Victoria: Bye. You should go. She shouldn't be alone.
Kevin: So, is this deep hatred you have for Abby because you blame her for stealing Tyler from you?
Mariah: No. A little. [Scoffs] I don't even know if it's hate at this point. Abby just bugs the crap out of me because not only is she obscenely rich, but she is gorgeous, smart, funny, fearless. Did I mention she's gorgeous?
Kevin: You're all of those things, except rich.
Mariah: You think I'm gorgeous?
Kevin: Yeah.
Mariah: You're lying.
Kevin: [Chuckles] Way to take a compliment.
Mariah: If you want to score points with me, help me find my phone charger.
Kevin: Fine. You know what? If you want to spend all your time hating Abby, come up with some better reasons, 'cause she's got nothing on you.
Mariah: Oh, except a billion bucks, the face of a model, killer body.
Kevin: Eh, if you're into that kind of thing.
Mariah: Who isn't?
Kevin: You have something that she does not have.
Mariah: An awesome job at the underground?
Kevin: Substance.
Mariah: Because guys go for that over hot every time.
Kevin: I guess it just depends on the guy. But you are real, you feel stuff, and you care about people. I've seen it with faith. I've seen it with Sharon. And even though you'd never admit it, I know you're just trying to protect Summer.
Mariah: Don't go making me out to be a good person.
Kevin: Well, can I just say that you don't suck as a roommate?
Mariah: Why? 'Cause I take out the trash and do the dishes?
Kevin: No, because if it wasn't for you, I'd be out of my mind by now.
Mariah: Wait. This is you sane? Oh, my God. I would hate to see you crazy.
Kevin: Oh, it gets way messier. It usually involves a squad car.
Mariah: Well, unfortunately, hanging out with me has not prevented you from breaking the law.
Kevin: [Chuckles] That's true. But if I am facing jail time, there is nobody else I would rather do it with.
Mariah: You gonna help me find my phone charger or not?
Noah: You never told me about this interview with Austin.
Sharon: Because he interviewed me awhile back. I just wanted to see my part, and I knew that it was on his computer.
Summer: So that's why you were trying to steal it.
Sharon: I wanted to borrow it.
Kyle: So you could delete the footage of you. Why? What did you say to Austin?
Sharon: Um...
Noah: Mom, what is it?
Sharon: I said some things about your dad that I probably shouldn't have.
Noah: And you didn't want it getting back to him.
Sharon: Look, I-I shouldn't have tried to look in Austin's computer, okay? It was wrong of me. But, Summer, if you could just delete those files...
Summer: The ones of you?
Sharon: None of them mean anything anymore. The movie's not going to be made. Why hurt people needlessly?
Summer: Please do not pretend like you care about my dad or anybody else who would have been hurt by what you said.
Sharon: I was in a bad place when I said what I did to Austin.
Summer: A bad place? That's always your excuse for wrecking people's lives, isn't it?
Sharon: Okay, if you won't do it for me, then why don't you do it for Noah and faith? I know you care about them.
Summer: Yeah, I do. But you said those things on tape, not me.
Sharon: Summer, I know I hurt you, but I love my kids.
Noah: Let me talk to Summer, okay?
Sharon: All right. Thanks.
Noah: Don't worry. I'll -- I'll take care of it.
Sharon: Okay.
Summer: Look, I get that she's your mom, Noah, but she cannot get away with this!
Noah: What? What exactly is her crime here? What did she do? She wanted to look at the footage.
Summer: No, Noah, there is more to it than that. I can tell.
Noah: You think that she killed Austin? You're out of your mind.
Kyle: Noah, she's obviously hiding something. We need to decrypt those interviews to find out what that is.
Abby: Sorry we're late. Oh, what's all this about?
Ashley: [Sighs] The reason I called you.
Stitch: What's going on?
Ashley: Our first shipment of hex is being delivered to distributors.
Abby: It's gorgeous.
Ashley: Isn't it?
Abby: It's even better than I imagined.
Ashley: Yeah. Thanks to Ben, it's beautiful on the inside, too.
Stitch: Are you kidding me? This is your creation. I just fine-tuned it.
Abby: [Chuckles]
Ashley: Open it!
Abby: Oh, okay. Oh, wow. It's lovely. [Chuckles] Well, now it's time for me to work my magic and market the hell out of it.
Ashley: Well, guess what? You're not gonna have any competition because your father pulled brash & sassy's love potion from the market.
Abby: What?
Stitch: His legal team must have advised him to do that.
Ashley: I don't know. I've never known Victor to walk away from a fight, especially when it involved Jabot or Jack.
Stitch: You think he's up to something?
Ashley: Yeah, I do. But you know what? I don't care, because now the marketplace is wide open. This is a huge opportunity for Jabot. I'm not gonna waste my time worrying about what Victor might be up to.
Victor: So, what did you find?
Victoria: Not what you were hoping for.
Victor: You sure you were thorough?
Victoria: Dad, at this point, I think I know more about Jabot than the entire Abbott family. The company is healthy. There are no vulnerabilities.
Victor: Sweetheart, there are always vulnerabilities. You just have to know where to look.
Victoria: I have looked behind every firewall, every proxy server at Jabot. The business is healthy, dad, okay? And I know you don't want to hear this, but Jack's net worth and the company's value is at an all-time high.
Victor: I'll be damned. Good for Jack.
Victoria: Good for Jack?
Victor: I wish him no ill.
Victoria: Dad, what is going on with you? First you undermine my efforts to relaunch brash & sassy by pulling our groundbreaking new fragrance. And now you want me to find the Achilles heel so that you can take over the company. I'm telling you it doesn't exist, and you know that. So what is this about? Why would you put yourself in this weakened position?
Victor: The pendulum always swings, my baby.
Victoria: What does that mean?
Victor: Well, it means that things have a way of changing, you know.
Jack: Sit back, relax, and think about something else. Here, we can talk about our wedding.
Phyllis: We have plenty of time to think about that.
Jack: No, no, no. A month gets away from you pretty fast. You haven't told me what kind of wedding you want. Do a big deal or rent out the ballroom at the club, get a big band, ice statues, invite hundreds of people.
Phyllis: Honey, seriously, I really doubt that even a dozen people would want to attend my wedding right now.
Jack: Okay, we could do something here. Traci can do the flowers. Mrs. Martinez will do the catering. Maybe get Chelsea to make you a new dress.
Phyllis: [Sighs] Billy -- what's he gonna do? Give me away?
Jack: A real family affair.
Phyllis: Really? It sounds a little incestuous to me.
Jack: All right, forget that. Forget everyone. We take the Jabot jet, and we go to a nice, private island with just you and me and anybody who can marry us and a witness.
Phyllis: You want to elope?
Jack: I want to know if that's what you want.
Phyllis: I say...yes.
Jack: Yeah?
Phyllis: Yes, yes, yes, yes. Yes.
Kevin: I bet I could find a spare charger down at the station. One that we've confiscated.
Mariah: [Laughs] I can see it now. Getting away with covering up a murder, but going down for receiving stolen property.
Kevin: Well, Plato sphere outsmarts the bad guys and the good.
Mariah: You make breaking the law almost sound noble.
Kevin: Thank you. It's the whole robin hood thing.
Mariah: What? Taking from the bad guys and giving to the slightly less bad guys?
Kevin: Giving to the more deserving.
Mariah: Works for me. You're kind of a fun person to get in trouble with.
[Door opens]
Sharon: Oh. Mariah, I-I didn't expect you to be here.
Mariah: Uh, Kevin and I were looking for my phone charger.
Sharon: Oh. Well, go right ahead. I, uh, just haven't seen much of you since the trial.
Mariah: Maybe that's 'cause you kicked me out.
Sharon: No, I didn't. I... I can't. I'm sorry.
Mariah: Are you okay?
Sharon: No, I'm not.
Kevin: Uh, you know, actually, I have to get going. I'm late for something that's, uh, not here.
Mariah: Yeah.
Kevin: Bye, Sharon.
Sharon: Bye.
Mariah: You don't have to be upset about our living arrangement. It's actually worked out really well with Kevin. I do miss talking to you, though.
Sharon: Oh, Mariah.
Mariah: Don't miss the hugs so much.
Sharon: Mariah, I'm so sorry. I miss you so much.
Mariah: That's okay. Sharon, it's okay. What's going on?
Sharon: I've done something terrible...and something I can't undo.
Sharon: I did the interview because of Summer. I thought maybe it would make her less angry with me if I did something that helped her husband.
Mariah: What part of your brain made you think that slamming nick would score points with his daughter?
Sharon: I didn't plan to do that. Austin just kept pushing me for dirt on the Newmans, and because I was so angry at the time, nick and I were in the middle of a custody battle... some things slipped out.
Mariah: What things?
Sharon: I think I made some harsh comments about... pretty much everyone in the Newman family.
Mariah: Comments that could be used against them. And you.
Sharon: Yes.
Mariah: Austin could have used your interview to ruin any chance you had of getting custody of faith.
Summer: Try that file.
Kyle: It won't let me open it.
Summer: We really need Kevin.
Noah: Or we could just forget about my mom's interview and we work on retrieving information that might actually help us find Austin's killer.
Summer: You know what? Even if Sharon didn't have anything to do with Austin's murder --
Noah: She didn't. Stop saying it.
Summer: I am not gonna let her get away with trying to spread lies about dad and the rest of the Newmans.
Noah: So you are gonna tell dad about this.
Summer: No, I don't know what I'm gonna do, not until I can hear what Sharon said in the interview.
Kevin: What's going on here, guys?
Noah: Nothing.
Kyle: Sharon is one of the people Austin interviewed for his film.
Summer: Yeah, and she was worried enough about what she told him that she tried to delete her file.
Kevin: That's why she was so freaked out earlier.
Summer: We need you to find the file with Sharon's interview.
Kyle: If she's so desperate to get rid of it, hey, maybe there's something on it that could help us find Austin's killer.
Noah: You guys, this is insane, okay? My mom doesn't know anything about Austin's killer. She was just -- she gave him an interview.
Kyle: An interview that could cost her the most important thing in the world to her -- faith.
Noah: Kyle, why don't you just --
Summer: No, no, wait. I have an idea. Sharon's been having second thoughts about what she told Austin, right? What if she came up to the cabin on Valentine's Day?
Kevin: To steal Austin's computer?
Summer: No, to confront him. What if that's what happened and something went wrong?
Noah: [Scoffs]
Phyllis: You know, maybe this isn't a good idea.
Jack: Yeah, we got a houseful. Let's take this upstairs.
Phyllis: No, I'm talking about the eloping thing.
Jack: Oh. That. Um... okay.
Phyllis: Okay?
Jack: You don't want to get married, we won't get married.
Phyllis: I didn't say I didn't want to get married.
Jack: You have been resistant to getting married since the day I met you.
Phyllis: I have not!
Jack: Who are you kidding? You're afraid, afraid if you'll let happiness in, it will be taken from you. It won't. You deserve some happiness, and damn it, I'm gonna get it for you. With or without a marriage license.
Phyllis: [Sighs] I love you.
Jack: I know you do.
Phyllis: You're not supposed to say it like that.
Jack: What?
Phyllis: You're supposed to say, "Phyllis, I love you, too," then you're supposed to sweep me up in your arms.
Jack: Oh. How about I just show you?
Phyllis: Okay.
[Cell phone rings]
Jack: Hold on. Yeah. Hey, Paul. What's up? Yeah, okay. I understand. Kelly got away from the Abu Dhabi police.
Phyllis: She's free?
Victoria: So, dad, we finally reached a level of peace within our family, and you want to start things up by going after Jabot?
Victor: Sweetheart, you've known your father long enough. When I see a business opportunity, I pounce.
Victoria: You do know that I just figured out how to work together with Billy as parents.
Victor: And I have no intention of interfering with that.
Victoria: What about Abby? Every time you and Jack start this fight up, you put her right in the middle. And Summer, too. She'll be in the middle because Phyllis is marrying Jack.
Victor: I will not cause any trouble.
Victoria: So you won't fight Jack for Jabot?
Victor: I won't have to. He will come around to my way of thinking.
Abby: Mom sure is fired up about the release of her love potion.
Stitch: You can't blame her. Victor all but guaranteed its success when he pulled the perfume.
Abby: Yeah.
Stitch: I thought you'd be happier about this. We put a lot of work into it.
Abby: I am. I just... I can't stop thinking about what I did to -- to Summer. And now complicating things for you and Victoria?
Stitch: Hey, Vicki and I are fine.
Abby: But you worked so hard to regain her trust, and now because of me, you have to lie to her all over again.
Stitch: It's -- it's better for Victoria if she doesn't know Austin was murdered, especially if Victor might be involved.
Abby: I told you. That is ridiculous. My dad would never hire someone to hurt me.
Stitch: Maybe he wanted to keep you away from the police and things got carried away.
Abby: No, the person who attacked me is the same person that murdered Austin. My dad would never hire someone to kill Summer's husband.
Stitch: It's possible that could have got botched, too.
Abby: Do you realize what you're saying? If my dad is involved, I mean, do you realize what --
Stitch: Okay, look, for now, I just think the fewer people who know about Austin's murder, the better.
Abby: It's bad enough that I hurt Summer, and now I've dragged you into this.
Stitch: Hey. Hey. You didn't drag me into anything. Hey. It's gonna be okay, all right?
Ashley: Oh, come on. You can do better than that.
Sharon: I wish I'd never agreed to meet with Austin.
Mariah: You were trying to help Summer.
Sharon: I didn't think that he would trick me into saying things I'd regret.
Mariah: He fooled a lot of us.
Sharon: I tried to explain to him what it would do to faith if she heard the things I said about her dad.
Sharon: I stood up for you when you needed someone! Now I'm asking you to do the same in return for me!
Austin: Sharon, I'd like to help, but this project's too important.
Sharon: Please, Austin. Faith is gonna hear enough bad things about me when she grows up. Don't give her reason to hate me more.
Austin: I'm sorry, but I can't cut the material you gave me.
Sharon: How could you do this to me?
Austin: I didn't force you to say those things. You were more than happy to blast nick when the camera was rolling. You're gonna have to live with that.
Sharon: I was furious.
Mariah: How furious?
Sharon: I would have done anything to get him to just erase that footage.
Ashley: Yeah, I'll send her right over.
Abby: I hate making you lie to Victoria.
Stitch: Eventually Victoria will know the truth about your mugging, but in the meantime, your sister and I just want to keep you safe. Both of us do.
Ashley: I just got off the phone with sierra in advertising. She wants to go over your marketing mix to make sure everybody's on the same page.
Abby: Yeah, sure.
Stitch: All right, I'll -- I'll walk you up.
Ashley: Actually, do you mind sticking around? I want to talk to you about maybe developing a men's fragrance with hex.
Stitch: I don't think Abby should be alone.
Ashley: She won't be. We have that guard that's watching you, right?
Abby: Yeah, no, I'll -- I'll be fine.
Ashley: Okay.
Stitch: If you're sure.
Abby: No, I'm sure. Bye.
Abby: Give him your answer.
Ashley: You're hired.
Abby: Can you just not be here for a second so I can talk to my mom?
Alone?
Ashley: Do you mind?
Stitch: Not at all.
Abby: If stitch could lie about his name, then what else could he lie about? And I don't want to be around him, much less trust him wit corporate secrets.
Ashley: Honey, as a doctor, Ben deals with confidential information every day. Besides, if I can keep him busy working, maybe he won't have time to pursue Victoria. And then maybe, who knows, Victoria and Billy can find their way back to each other.
Abby: Are you really doing this because you're thinking of Billy, or are you still attracted to the guy yourself?
Ashley: [Sighs] [Gasps] So we're agreed, right? It was just a one-time thing, and it's best forgotten.
Stitch: I would obviously never mention this to anyone.
Ashley: Oh, I'm not gonna say a thing, I promise you.
Ashley: Are you sleeping with my daughter?
Victoria: [Sighs] Dad. Please don't screw things up for my family.
Jack: Paul said he would let us know if he found out anything at all. In the meantime, Kelly is far away.
Phyllis: Wish that would make me feel better.
Jack: She would have to be crazy to come back to Genoa city.
Phyllis: If she was a rational person, she would stay away from here. If she was a sane woman, she would stay away from me.
[Doorbell rings]
Jack: That's probably Paul with some good news, okay? [Sighs] It's not Paul, and it's not good news.
Victor: [Laughs] So nice to see you, too, Jack.
Jack: What do you want, Victor?
Victor: [Laughing] What do I want? I remember saving your ass a few days ago. I think the least you can do is invite me in.
Jack: Please make it quick.
Victor: Well, all right, then.
Jack: Maybe you could tell us where Kelly is, that way I could have the police go and pick her up.
Victor: Hello, Phyllis. I told you that I have no idea why Kelly Andrews left town, and that is not why I'm here.
Jack: Okay, why are you here?
Victor: I have a proposal for you.
Jack: I doubt I'd be interested in any proposal you have to offer.
Victor: Well... I want to buy Jabot.
Stitch: Did you really just ask me if I'm sleeping with Abby?
Ashley: I did. Look, I'm very concerned about her. She's very vulnerable right now.
Stitch: Give me some credit, Ashley.
Ashley: Well, I mean, it wouldn't be the first time you've done something impulsive.
Stitch: I'm not sleeping with Abby!
Ashley: Okay. Why are you guys all huddled together like this all of a sudden? You're all secretive and whispering. What's happening?
Stitch: I'm looking out for her because her sister, the woman I love, asked me to.
Ashley: Before today, you couldn't stand to be in the same room as Abby. Now all of a sudden, you're her protector?
Stitch: Abby and I didn't hit it off at first, but I misjudged her. She's a good person. I don't want to see anything happen to her.
Noah: Do you guys realize how crazy this is? Hmm? You're accusing my mother of murdering your husband.
Summer: Your mom is sick, Noah. She's been known to do some very destructive things when she's off her medication.
Noah: She's not capable of murder.
Summer: How do you know?
Noah: Because I know my mom. Besides, she was with faith the night that Austin was murdered. They were in a car accident.
Summer: And what was she doing out in the middle of a blizzard?
Noah: She said that they were trying to get someplace safe and warm.
Summer: And maybe she was on her way back from the cabin when she crashed her car.
Noah: [Scoffs]
Sharon: What's this?
Mariah: Something to help calm you.
Sharon: Tea?
Mariah: There's a little tea in there.
Sharon: And a lot of scotch.
Mariah: It's okay, isn't it?
Sharon: Today it is.
Mariah: Sharon, tell me what you meant when you said that you'd do anything to get Austin to delete that footage.
Sharon: I knew there was only one way to get through to him.
Sharon: How much?
Austin: You people are all the same. You think everything's for sale. It's not. I'm not deleting anything, no matter how much you offer me.
Sharon: Austin, please!
Austin: Okay, look. You signed a release. That's legal and binding, and I'm not letting you out of it. Your interview is gonna be the centerpiece of my documentary.
Sharon: If you won't do it for me, then you do it for Summer.
Austin: My wife has two very powerful families looking out for her. I'm doing what's best for me.
Sharon: You selfish bastard!
Sharon: I could not believe he was willing to throw my life away for his stupid film. I was so furious, I could...
Mariah: You could have what?
Jack: All right, Victor. Suppose you tell me why you're really here.
Victor: Well, I want to make you a very generous offer for Jabot.
Jack: You're serious.
Victor: Yes. I would like to bring Jabot under the Newman enterprises umbrella.
Jack: Why in god's name would I do that?
Victor: Well, now, think about it. You and I have built two very powerful, independent companies. If we joined them, we would be the powerhouse in the corporate world.
Jack: Jabot is worth more today than it has ever been in the history of the company. I have no need to throw in with you. And if I were looking for a partner, you would perhaps be the last person I would trust.
Victor: I imagine. Anyway, uh, should you change your mind, you know where to reach me, okay?
Jack: I won't.
Victor: And by the way, Phyllis, you're looking damn good. I guess getting rid of all those legal problems has done very well for you. You both have a very nice evening.
Phyllis: Well, that was incredibly weird.
Jack: Yeah. He's setting me up for something. But what?
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Devon: Why do you even bother with us? Is it to gloat about screwing us over, or is there another reason that you're so invested?
Paul: Don't tell me the judge threw out the case.
Christine: No, but he will if Nikki and Victor get their way.
Nikki: What's the real reason you wanted to buy Jabot? What do you have up your sleeve?
