Episode # 10627 ~ Sharon hides her tracks; Joe turns to Avery for help; Kyle asks Victoria about Stitch's connection to Austin.

Nick: Yes, the building is fully insured, including the downstairs club. Yes. Look, do you -- do you have my agent's number? Because he can answer any of these questions you may have. I can get him on the phone for you immediately. Great. Call him anytime you want. Yes. I just want to get rolling on this by next week. Thank you.

Dylan: You usually don't look that frustrated till at least noon.

Nick: This damn building collapse is like a mushroom cloud. The fallout is never-ending. And on top of that, Sharon was supposed to meet me here with faith, and she is, of course, late.

Dylan: Well, maybe she's caught in traffic or she had a tough time getting faith out of the house.

Nick: What, are you making excuses for her?

Dylan: No. There's no excuses. What's uh -- what's wrong? What's with the, uh -- the attitude?

Nick: You don't think I'm justified?

Dylan: Look, Sharon's tying herself in knots to prove to you that she's a responsible parent. I thought you realized that the night of the storm.

Nick: Yet here we are again.

Dylan: She's a little late. Cut her some slack.

Nick: It's not like it's the first time, Dylan.

Dylan: Have you ever been late, especially toting around a 7-year-old? Come on, nick. People screw up. They do things wrong. It doesn't define who they are.

Nick: Sometimes it does.

Avery: Joe. Did you come to make sure I got the dress?

Joe: Well, did you?

Avery: I did, and you shouldn't have bothered to return it.

Joe: I just thought that --

Avery: Do me a favor, will you? The next time you find something like that, just throw it away or donate it or burn it or whatever. I don't need to hold on to mementos from the past. And you shouldn't, either. It's not gonna happen, Joe. That's why you're here, isn't it?

Joe: Actually, no. I'm here because I need a lawyer.

Nick: Look, if you want to get a fourth bid, do it, but I want to start these repairs by next week. Yeah. Hey, uh, listen -- I got to go. Just call and let me know what you decide. Okay. Bye. Hey, summer.

Summer: Hey.

Nick: I haven't seen you in a couple days. How you doing?

Summer: Yeah, I'm hanging in there.

Nick: Do you need anything?

Summer: No, no. I'm -- I'm good. Everyone's been really supportive, so it's been helping.

Nick: Well, I'm glad to hear it.

Summer: Yeah.

Nick: No. What else is going on with your sister? And don't tell me she's fine. I know there's something else.

Noah: Austin was in to more than any of us realized.

Nick: More women, other than Abby?

Noah: No. Well, not that any of us know, but, um, he was betraying her just the same. He was digging up dirt on our family.

Nick: What kind of dirt?

Noah: The kind that somebody didn't want seeing the light of day. Be

Kyle: I was surprised when I got your text saying that you'd left Victoria's and moved in here.

Abby: I felt that I'd be safer here with more security -- people around 24/7.

Kyle: I think that's wise. Get as far away from stitch as you possibly can.

Abby: Why would you say that?

Kyle: Because of the hatchet piece Austin was working on, trying to malign both sides of your family.

Abby: And using me to feed him information because I am so gullible and naive. [Scoffs] The thought of it makes me ill. Well, at least stitch caught on to what he was doing and told him exactly where to stick it.

Kyle: According to stitch.

Abby: Meaning what?

Kyle: When Austin had him on camera, stitch completely lost it -- threatened Austin.

Abby: What, stitch?

Kyle: Yeah. Abby, he looked mad enough to kill Austin. As far as we know, he's the one who did.

Abby: I feel so colossally stupid. I was terrified over a blown circuit.

Stitch: Well, I'm just glad I was here to save the day.

Ba-ba-ba

Abby: [Gasps]

Stitch: Someone was in the house.

Victoria: Ben?! Hey, Ben. Hi.

Stitch: Hey. Oh. Hey.

Victoria: Hey. You okay?

Stitch: Actually, no. There's something I need to tell you.

Victoria: Okay. What is it?

Stitch: Someone was watching the house last night.

Victoria: Oh, my god.

Stitch: Right.

Victoria: Abby.

Stitch: Yeah. That's what I'm worried about. I'm afraid her attacker has come back.

Victoria: Well, did you see who it was?

Stitch: No. No. But I'm sure someone was there.

Victoria: Did you call the police?

Stitch: No. See, there was no evidence. It was just a feeling. It was a strong feeling, though. I believe your sister is in real danger.

Victoria: Ohh.

Stitch: I spoke with the security company. They're gonna be increasing their patrols, effective immediately.

Victoria: Good, but no one was in the house or tried to get in, right?

Stitch: Victoria, I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. I will do whatever it takes to keep you and the kids safe. You know that, right?

Victoria: Yes.

Stitch: Then why do you seem so upset?

Victoria: Just -- I don't know. I can't stop thinking about everything that Abby's going through -- you know, first Austin's death and then the affair comes out and then she's mugged in the park and now she's being stalked.

Stitch: Abby decided that it'd be wise for all concerned if she didn't stay here anymore, okay? She packed up her things this morning, and she took a suite at the club.

Victoria: What? Do you think that it's a good idea for her to be alone?

Stitch: Look, it's not ideal, okay? But with Traci out of town, you know, she doesn't want to stay at her place, you know? And, plus, you know, the club has its own security.

Victoria: Yeah, but do they know how serious this is? I mean, would they even know what to do? Ben... we should keep an eye on her.

Stitch: At the hotel?

Victoria: Yeah. I would really appreciate it.

Stitch: Look, my priority is you and the kids. I don't want to not be here.

Victoria: No, I know that, but that's why we pay people to look out for us, and we've alerted them to the situation, okay? Abby's the one who's in trouble here.

Stitch: Yeah, but, again, there's no proof. I mean, you know, it's only a theory.

Victoria: It's a very plausible theory, and I trust your instincts.

Stitch: Okay, fine, you know, if it'll make you feel better. Okay. I'll do my best to look out for her.

Victoria: Thank you. I don't know why this is happening to my sister.

Stitch: Sometimes people do things... for reasons the world will never know.

Abby: Why would stitch murder Austin? He barely knew him.

Kyle: The good doctor claims that he wanted nothing to do with Austin's documentary, that there was no interview. But it's all there on Austin's laptop.

Abby: What is?

Kyle: Kevin recovered some of the deleted footage, and what do you know? There's stitch, as big as life, about to smash the camera over Austin's head.

Abby: Oh, please, no. I'm sure Austin probably asked him a question that he didn't like and pissed him off, so Ben shut him down, which is exactly what I should have don that doesn't make him a murderer.

Kyle: Why are you so willing to accept whatever he said at face value? Oh, right -- gullible and naive. That'll do it.

Abby: [Sighs]

Kyle: I'm sorry, okay? I know that you've been through a lot. It's just...you're vulnerable. Abby, things that might seem obvious to you under other circumstances aren't registering the same way.

Abby: Or maybe I'm just clueless all the time and never realized it.

Kyle: Don't do that. Look, I'm worried, okay? Stitch got you to confide in him, and then he told Kevin that he could help but that we need to keep quiet, just like the person leaving us messages is trying to keep us quiet.

Abby: No, Kyle. You need to get your facts straight, because I-I am the one who begged stitch to keep it a secret after I told him the whole story. I was doped up after being hit over the head, and stitch asked me why I was at the cabin, so I told him the truth. I went there to feel close to Austin. It was the last place that I saw him. Stitch didn't know about any of this until after I was attacked. He is trying to help us, so we shouldn't be treating him like a suspect.

Kyle: People who made it into Austin's documentary either had a secret, revealed a secret, or discovered a secret. Anyone involved is a suspect, Abby.

Nick: Austin was making a film?

Noah: Right -- a documentary. But, see, the worst part is he was interviewing people on camera, asking about the Abbotts and the Newmans, trying to get them to divulge family secrets.

Nick: Do you think that's why Austin was with Abby?

Noah: It looks that way.

Nick: Summer, too?

Noah: I don't know. I mean, there's no way of knowing.

Nick: She defended this guy when he should have gone to jail. She made us accept him. She married him and gave him everything, and he's been using her the whole time?

Noah: Dad, dad, dad, dad, slow down, okay? Look... summer is in no place to be talking about this right now, so let's just keep it between us, okay?

Sharon: Hurry up, sweetie. Come on. Your dad's waiting for you. He wants to spend the whole morning with you since you only have a half day of school.

Noah: Hi, mom.

Sharon: Hi, sweetie. Faith has been as slow as molasses this morning.

Faith: I'm having a bad hair day.

Noah: [Chuckles] I'll see you guys.

Nick: You look like a beautiful little princess.

Faith: You have to say that. You're my dad.

Nick: [Chuckles]

Sharon: I'm really sorry for being so late.

Nick: You don't need to apologize. Things happen.

Sharon: Thank you. Okay. Well, here's your backpack. Your dad's gonna take you to school when it's time. Give me a kiss. Mwah!

Faith: Mommy, do you have to leave? Stay and have breakfast.

Sharon: Sweetie, this is your dad's time with you.

Nick: You know what? That's actually a good idea. Why don't you join us?

Noah: Dad didn't know about Austin's documentary.

Kevin: If he had known, I'm sure he would have brought the hammer down a lot sooner.

Summer: Yeah, unlike Austin's mistress and his blindly accepting wife, who had no idea what he was really up to.

Noah: Stop. Stop. Don't be so hard on yourself, okay? No one knew what Austin was up to.

Kevin: Maybe someone knew.

Noah: What do you mean?

Kevin: Well, when Austin first started working on his film, maybe he didn't realize what he was getting into, right? He was just asking questions, trying to piece together a story. Maybe he came across something he wasn't expecting -- something he realized could get him killed.

Summer: You slept with my husband!

Abby: Victoria? Stitch? Hello!

[Tap]

Abby: [Gasps] Hello? [Gasps]

Stitch: Someone was in the house.

[Knock on door]

Avery: So, a nonprofit to help abused women and children?

Joe: Yeah, better days foundation. It's going under, and I want to save it.

Avery: And you want me to do the paperwork?

Joe: You sound surprised. You know what I went through as a kid.

Avery: Of course I remember the stories about your dad.

Joe: Yeah. So, these organizations have always had my interest. I mean, anything I can do to protect these kids from monsters like my old man.

Avery: Okay. But I got to tell you, I've never known you to have an interest in becoming a philanthropist.

Joe: Well, it's not something I've been very vocal about. I like to keep my private life private. Besides, you're the only person I trust enough to tell.

Avery: You never talked to anybody about it? You never sought counseling?

J: No. I mean, after our breakup, it just -- well, it never happened. Yeah, but getting involved with these organizations -- it seemed therapeutic... showing these people that they don't have to stay in a bad situation.

Avery: Well, I'm really glad that you found a positive outlet, Joe, but I can't help wondering, "why here and why now?"

[Laughter]

Nick: Hey, Sage. How's it going?

Sage: Fine, thanks. Sharon. Faith. It's nice to see you again.

Sharon: You, too. I got to go somewhere. So, you have a wonderful day and do good on your spelling test.

Faith: Mommy, don't go.

Sharon: Remember what we talked about, faith? I'm glad we all had this special time together, but now it's your dad's turn.

Kevin: Austin was deleting his files, so he must have been abandoning his project.

Noah: Because he was getting threats?

Kevin: Makes sense to me.

Summer: What if it was more than just threats? Maybe that's why --

Noah: Wait, wait, wait, wait. What about the interview with stitch? Were you able to salvage any more of that?

Kevin: Unfortunately, no, but, like I told you, what we did see was really incriminating.

Noah: And you said he was violent?

Summer: It was really intense.

Kevin: Like, the way stitch went after Austin, it's like we saw this whole other side of him.

Noah: I mean, the dude's been in combat, you know? He did a few tours. That changes a person.

Kevin: Yeah, and he had possible motive -- protecting Victoria from whatever it was that Austin dug up.

Noah: Possible motive for murder?

Kevin: I don't know. However he's involved, it would give him reason to be leaving notes, wanting us to stop looking into it.

Noah: So no one else will get hurt?

Summer: Stitch already spent time in prison for a murder that he didn't commit. What if he realizes that we're on to him? How far would he go to shut us up?

Abby: Wait. You did what?

Stitch: I booked the room next door. As long as there's a threat of any kind, I'll be close by. I also hired a security detail that's ex-military -- people who are ready and willing to help out a vet. If anybody is stalking you, they will find out who it is.

Abby: What about Victoria?

Stitch: I beefed up security at our house, too.

Abby: No. I-I mean what did you tell her?

Stitch: Nothing much -- just that someone followed you last night and we both agreed it would better for you to be here at the club, around more people.

Abby: Stitch, there was someone in her house last night. They wrote on the mirror in lipstick, "I'm always watching."

Stitch: Yeah. I didn't tell Victoria about the mirror or Austin's murder or anything else.

Abby: Why not?

[Doorbell rings]

Victoria: Oh. Kyle.

Kyle: Hey, there. Abby around?

Victoria: Um, she's at the club now. The security's tighter there.

Kyle: Good idea. I've been so worried about her.

Victoria: Yeah. I-I actually feel better knowing that she can call for help, you know, around the clock if she needs to, at least until the police catch whoever attacked her. Oh, and Ben's -- you know, he's in the room next door, so that's good.

Kyle: Stitch is at the hotel with Abby?

Victoria: Yeah.

Kyle: Living there?

Victoria: Well, yeah, I mean, for now.

Kyle: And you're okay with that?

Victoria: Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?

Kyle: Uh, no, uh -- I'm glad to hear that you two are solid. A lot of women, you know, given Abby's history of sleeping with summer's husband -- obviously, you trust the guy if you're okay with that arrangement.

Victoria: Yeah. It was my idea.

Kyle: Even better.

Victoria: Look, Abby made a mistake, and it was a big one, but that doesn't mean that she's gonna jump in bed with every man that crosses her path.

Kyle: Gotcha.

Victoria: This isn't really a matter of trust. I do trust Ben. It's just a matter of keeping Abby safe, and Ben was in the army, you know, so he's trained to protect people.

Kyle: Well, he's damn good at protecting his secret.

Abby: Would it really be so bad clueing in Victoria? I was willing to go to the police.

Stitch: And look what happened. You wound up in the hospital. I don't want that to happen to someone else.

Abby: What makes you so sure that you can figure out who's behind this?

Stitch: The most important thing was getting you to a safe place, and now that I have, is there anything you haven't told me -- you know, stuff that might help my security detail? [Chuckles]

Abby: No. No. You know everything I do. I swear.

Stitch: You sure about that?

Abby: You know, I wish I hadn't dragged you in to this.

Stitch: Abby, what is -- what is your problem?

Abby: Problem?

Stitch: Yeah. You're -- you're -- you're acting like you can't get away from me fast enough, like you're afraid of me.

Abby: I have my phone. I will call 911.

Stitch: Your phone is on the nightstand.

Abby: Then I will scream.

Stitch: Hey, what is wrong with you? You think I'm the one who attacked you? You think I'm the one who sent those threats, that -- that -- that I did that?

Abby: Did you?

Sharon: Faith, I'm fine with you going on this field trip, sweetie, but your dad's already signed this.

Faith: I want you to sign it, too.

Nick: Uh, yeah. You should definitely sign it, as well. Do you need a pen?

Faith: I've got one.

Nick: Well, there we go.

Sharon: Okay. My autograph. I'm gonna go powder my nose, and then I really have to scoot.

Nick: Well, what are you gonna have to drink, Sage? They make a mean cappuccino here.

Sage: They do. Maybe in a little bit. But I want to know about your field trip. Where are you going?

Faith: A play.

Nick: Uh, faith's class is gonna go to Milwaukee and watch a children's opera.

Sage: Wow! That's exciting. I love the opera. That'll be really fun.

Nick: Yeah. Faith loves all things with lyrics and words.

Sage: Mm-hmm.

Nick: Why don't you tell her what your teacher said about your language-arts paper?

Faith: She liked it. It was good.

Nick: Just good? [Chuckling] Oh, no, no, no. It was an "A"-plus-plus with -- count 'em -- two gold stars.

Sage: I love words, too. I used to write poetry. What's your favorite kind of thing to write?

Nick: Uh, faith, uh, does all kinds of writing with stories and stuff. She's a real natural. You know, I bet Sage would like to read one of your stories sometime.

Sage: I would like that.

Faith: Daddy, I have to go to school.

Nick: You still have time.

Faith: I have a spelling test. I don't want to be late.

Nick: You're not gonna be late.

Faith: If we're not gonna have our own special time together like mommy said, then we should just go.

Nick: Um, okay. I'll call you later?

Sage: That'd be lovely. It was nice to see you again. You have a wonderful daddy.

Faith: And mommy.

Nick: Okay.

Kevin: As long as the secret Austin uncovered stays buried and no one else finds out what's on this computer, there's a good chance we'll all stay safe.

Noah: Mom?

Sharon: Oh, hi, Noah. Kevin. Summer.

Kevin: Nice to see you, Sharon.

Sharon: You, too.

Noah: What are you still doing here?

Sharon: I was dropping faith off with your dad. Actually, I was running late this morning, and I thought your dad was gonna be mad, but he wasn't. He was really understanding. And then when faith asked if I could stay with them for a while, your dad said yes. I don't know. I would call that progress. Wouldn't you?

Noah: Definitely.

Sharon: I'm not reading too much into it or anything. It's just I think we really are getting through this, and it gives me hope.

Noah: Good.

Sharon: And, summer, I-I hope that one day you'll be able to forgive what I did, also. I miss having you in my life.

Summer: My dad is being nice to you because of faith. I don't have to pretend the way that he does. I can tell you exactly how I feel about you.

Victoria: Is there supposed to be a message there about Ben being able to keep a secret?

Kyle: Look, I don't know how much of this you already know, um... but Austin was making a documentary. Well, that's putting it politely. It was a cautionary tale of the battle between the haves and the have-nots, the haves, in this case, being the Abbotts and the Newmans. And -- spoiler alert -- the haves don't come off too well.

Victoria: Yeah. Ben told me that Austin was making a smear piece and using people around us to gather information, but Ben was not involved.

Kyle: I'm sorry. Not involved? Why, Victoria, he had a starring role.

Victoria: Excuse me? What?

Kyle: He must have been waiting till the final cut to fill you in on the rest.

Victoria: Okay, listen -- I don't know where you're getting your information.

Kyle: From my eyes, Victoria. Look, I'm sorry to be the one to have to break this to you, but Kevin managed to resurrect some of Austin's files -- interviews that he deleted for some reason right before the night he died. Stitch is on camera, big as life. Ask Kevin if you don't believe me. The pixels don't lie. There's plenty of skeletons in our families' closets, and stitch has a foot in both worlds, living with you, working so closely with ash. He's perfectly positioned to give an insider's view.

Nick: What's going on?

Sage: What are you doing here?

Nick: Well, after I dropped off faith, I took a chance that you'd be here. I really wanted to talk to you about what happened earlier.

Sage: You don't have to explain. I know faith just wanted your attention. I was intruding.

Nick: How were you intruding? I asked you to join us.

Sage: 'Cause children always want their parents to be together. I know you love your kids. You'd do anything for them.

Nick: Uh, yeah, of course.

Sage: I know that things aren't perfect between you and Sharon, but she's faith's mother, and you're working very hard to keep your little girl's family together. She's very lucky.

Nick: Uh, what?

Sage: I'm gonna make this really easy for you, nick, okay? You came by to tell me that it's not working out, I'm just a distraction, and faith's the number-one person in your life and I just need to stop wasting my time.

Nick: Uh, n-no. I don't know where you're getting this, Sage. I came here to apologize for what happened.

Joe: Well, the foundation better days actually came to me. Constance Bingham was their primary benefactor, and she recently passed, so the organization got tied up in probate, and the group wanted to continue to do what she started, so, with funds being tied indefinitely, it, uh -- the executive director knew of my involvement with a similar organization, so he reached out and I drafted up a restructuring program to keep them afloat. Look, I know I promised to leave town, but --

Avery: But you couldn't say no?

Joe: I didn't want to say no.

Avery: It means a lot to you... much like my work with the innocence foundation.

Joe: Yeah. I appreciate your understanding. To some, this may seem like something totally different, but I don't care what they think -- only you.

Avery: You know, you have spent so much of your life trying to accumulate money and material things, and I always thought it was a yardstick to measure your success. But maybe it was... maybe it was to measure the distance that you've put between who you are now and what happened to you... and to prove that you've overcome those terrible things and you haven't let it hold you back.

[Paper rustling]

Dylan: Am I interrupting something?

Avery: No. Joe needs an attorney.

Dylan: [Chuckles] Of course he does.

Avery: Joe is managing the fiduciary reorg for a nonprofit that's close to his heart. I'll be handling the paperwork for him.

[Cell phone chimes] Oh. I have a conference call in two minutes. If you gentlemen will excuse me?

Dylan: Nonprofit?! I can't even imagine you saying that word out loud. What kind of group is it?

Joe: It's called better days.

Dylan: What do they do?

Joe: Look it up.

Dylan: What, you don't want to tell me? Why not? Or do I already know?

Joe: It's an organization that provides programs and funding for abused women and children.

Dylan: Sounds like another excuse in a long line of excuses to stay in Avery's orbit and keep working her.

Joe: Well, I'm sure it does, but it's a good cause.

Dylan: It's not the cause I'm questioning, Joe. It's you. There's nothing noble about what you're doing, and we both know it.

Noah: Okay, easy, summer. You don't need to be rude when you talk to my mom, okay?

Summer: You call it "rude." I call it "being honest." I have no interest in being your friend or having you around me ever again. My life is so full of lies already that I really don't need you adding to it.

Kevin: You're upset about Austin cheating. Don't take it out on Sharon.

Sharon: It's okay, Kevin. I betrayed her, too.

Summer: Yeah. You sure as hell did. And my mom is back now, so I don't need a surrogate.

Sharon: I know you don't, summer. But if you ever really do need anything --

Summer: No, I won't.

Sharon: Okay. Well, I'll see you later.

Noah: Bye, mom.

Summer: [Sighs]

Noah: Come on. Why do you have to be so hard on her? She's just trying to be nice -- make up for what she did.

Kevin: All right. I need to head to the station. Will you keep an eye on Austin's laptop for me? I want to see if I can receive some more footage later.

Noah: Yeah, you got it.

Kevin: Thanks. Bye.

Summer: What? Don't look at me like that. I am so tired of all the excuses of everyone saying that Sharon wasn't responsible because she wasn't in her right mind.

Noah: Oh, you mean kind of like us at the cabin that night, when we were all messed up on spiked punch and when we found Austin's body?

Summer: I actually thought I might have killed him.

Noah: Yeah, but you didn't.

Summer: Yeah, I-I didn't.

Noah: And I knew that all along.

Summer: I know. You were the only one that was 100% sure.

Noah: Right, because I know you, and I know my mom. She didn't do anything to Austin.

Summer: But what if there is some piece of evidence or something that proves that she was involved somehow?

Noah: There's not.

Summer: What if we find out that she really was at the cabin that night or her fingerprints in the car where he as found?

Noah: I'm not gonna play pretend with something like this, okay?

Summer: Look, you know what your mom is capable of. Just think about it. That's it, okay? I'll be right back.

Noah: Mom, did you say that you burned down grandpa's house?

Sharon: I didn't know what I was doing. Please don't hate me.

Noah: I could never hate you.

Sharon: I could go to prison. You have to help me. You have to convince them that I didn't know what I was doing. I was scared, and I was confused. I can't be locked up again. It was a terrible crime.

Stitch: Where is all this coming from, Abby -- all the suspicion? Did you come up with this yourself?

Abby: No.

Stitch: No? So, someone's been badmouthing me?

Abby: I wouldn't say that.

Stitch: Then what would you say?

Abby: Kyle thinks you might be guilty.

Stitch: Jack's son? Guilty of what -- Austin's murder?

Abby: I told him I didn't believe it.

Stitch: Kyle has a reason to lie. I don't. In fact, I may be the only one telling the truth around here.

Abby: I don't know what to believe, okay? I don't know who's telling the truth. Someone's bashing in people's heads, scaring the life out of people, which is working, and we don't know who's behind it.

Stitch: I have a theory, okay? Maybe Austin stumbled upon some whopper of a secret, and maybe it has to do with Victor.

Abby: Dad? Why?

Stitch: Because of the scope of this whole thing, okay? Whatever this secret was, someone was willing to kill over it, and we all know too well Victor Newman will go to any lengths to protect his family.

Abby: No. Not any lengths. Not murder.

Stitch: I used to think like him once upon a time -- protect the family. But sometimes people can go too far, like I did to protect my mother. It almost cost me everything.

Abby: So, why protect me?

Dylan: Man, you will use anything you can to stick around Avery -- the warehouse deal, these trips down memory lane, and now a charity?

Joe: That dress was very important to Avery. It belonged to her grandmother. But this isn't about her. It's about me. I had it rough growing up as a kid, and Avery helped me through a lot of those issues when we were married.

Dylan: So, now you're using it? Now, along with the very real pain these abuse survivors are going through to push your own personal agenda with my fiancée?

Joe: You know, I could stand here and try to get you to understand and believe me, but I just don't have the patience for that. Have a good day.

Dylan: [Sighs]

Summer: [Sighs]

Noah: You know you're the only person I let talk about my mom that way, right?

Summer: Oh, I've heard you say some pretty unpleasant things about my mom, too.

Noah: I never accused her of murder.

Summer: I'm not accusing her, Noah. I'm just saying that whoever did this knows us and we know them, so we can't go ignoring evidence because we're friends with them or because we're related to them.

Noah: I'm not related to her. That's my mom. Okay? And I-I can't imagine that she would ever do anything to hurt Austin.

Summer: Well, you don't sound 100% sure anymore.

Noah: I am. Look, summer, I'm not dismissing what my mom did to you, okay? And I don't blame you for resenting her. But no matter how badly she screws up, she's still my mom, and I love her. And I love you. And, I swear, if I have to lock you both in a cell until you get along, I'm gonna do it, all right? I've got the cell picked out and everything.

Summer: No. I get it. I do -- better than you think. I will try to be nicer next time.

Noah: Thank you. You know what this calls for.

Summer: Hmm?

Noah: Chocolate cake.

Summer: Only if I get my own piece.

Noah: Okay. I can make that happen.

Summer: Okay.

Avery: Where's Joe?

Dylan: He's gone.

Avery: You two had words, didn't you?

Dylan: I know two words I'd like to give him.

Avery: Dylan.

Dylan: Come on. The guy's a parasite. He's only out for himself, Avery.

Avery: Domestic violence is a very real issue for Joe -- one that I've known about for years.

Dylan: Right. And this nonprofit he wants to rescue -- it's such a good and noble cause, who could argue with that?

Avery: You, apparently.

Dylan: Why can't you see that this is another ploy to drive a wedge between us?

Avery: Dylan, you have to trust that that's not gonna happen. And while you're at it, you might want to give Joe the benefit of the doubt. Would that really be so difficult?

Nick: Faith has done this before.

Sage: With Avery?

Nick: Yeah. She's just not gonna be able to accept any woman that's in my life that's not her mother.

Sage: So, I should not take it personally?

Nick: Oh, definitely not.

Sage: All right. I guess I'll try to grin and bear it.

Nick: Uh, you're gonna have to do better than that.

Sage: Is that an order?

Nick: Yeah. It is. Faith is just gonna have to accept the fact that I'm not reconciling with her mother. I'm moving on, and I'm excited about it.

Sage: You're excited? Really?

Nick: Yeah, really.

Sage: How excited?

Kyle: Sharon.

Noah: Mom?

Summer: What the hell are you doing with Austin's computer?

Stitch: You are innocent in all this. You deserve to be protected.

Abby: I'm not sure I do.

Stitch: At the very least, you don't deserve to be assaulted or stalked by some psycho. I am capable of protecting you. Victoria asked me to, so I'm gonna do whatever it takes to keep you safe. Got it?

Abby: I'm sorry. I'm just really scared.

Stitch: It's okay. Come here. It's okay.

Abby: [Sniffles]

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Victoria: You won't fight Jack for Jabot.

Victor: I won't have to.

Ashley: Are you sleeping with my daughter?

Kelly: You deserve to die!
