Episode # 10619 ~ Jack & Ashley work to protect Jabot; Stitch questions Victoria & Billy's relationship.
Provided By Suzanne
Jack: I can't believe you're still at it!
Ashley: Oh, no! I can't believe it's this late!
Jack: What are you working on?
Ashley: [Sighs] Nothing much. I've been so distracted I forgot about the memorial. How did Summer hold up?
Jack: Not so well. Especially after she found out your daughter has been sleeping with her husband.
Kevin: What the hell?
Abby: Oh, my God. That's creepy.
Courtney: No, wait! I want to get a better look on that.
Kevin: Somebody's been busy.
Mariah: Having fun at our expense!
Courtney: Does anyone recognize this handwriting?
Mariah: The shade of lipstick?'
Kyle: No.
Mariah: Wait till Summer hears about this.
Kyle: No, she can't. She's been through enough.
Courtney: We can erase the message, but not what it means. The person that did this is probably the same person that moved Austin's body. That blows that "guardian angel" theory right out the window.
Kevin: This person isn't trying to protect Summer. He or she wants something. Or maybe she's just trying to throw us off the scent.
Summer: [Crying] You didn't just cheat on me, you died before I could ask you why! How could you do this to me! How could you just leave me wondering for forever?!
Nick: Listen to me. I know you said you want to be alone, but please let me take you home.
Summer: No, I can't!
Nick: You need some rest.
Summer: You don't understand! This is all my fault!
Phyllis: Your fault, honey? What? What are you talking about?
Nick: You have nothing to feel guilty about.
Summer: No, I do! I do.
Victor: What the hell is this?
Paul: Nikki has been booked for attempted murder. It's standard procedure
Victor: What happened to you? She submitted to an interrogation by your other officer. She submitted to a breathalyzer test without a lawyer present! That's how you pay her back?!
Nikki: I swear to God, Paul, it was an accident. What more do I have to tell you? Christine stepped right into the path of my car!
Paul: That's not what the eyewitnesses say. According to them, you deliberately swerved in Chris' direction.
Victor: Who the hell are your eyewitnesses?!
Paul: They're credible!
Victor: I doubt it!
Paul: One is a bystander and the other is my wife.
Christine: [Gasps] Please come back! Please. Please. [Gasps]
Dylan: It's -- it's okay. Christine, it's okay. It's okay. You're having a nightmare.
Christine: Oh, God.
Dylan: It's okay. I heard about the accident. I just wanted to be with you and Paul.
Christine: I tried so hard to catch up. I couldn't catch up. [Sighs]
Dylan: What are you talking about?
Christine: Oh, there was... a child -- sweet -- [Crying] Sweet little child.
Dylan: In your dream?
Christine: Not just in my dreams. Somebody took my baby. And it wasn't just an accident. They deliberately ran me down.
Dylan: Who? Who would do something like that?
Christine: Your mother. That's who! [Sighs]
Victoria: You taste like orange juice.
Stitch: Yeah, I had some after I gave blood.
Victoria: Oh. I didn't know you were gonna do that.
Stitch: Yeah, I wanted to help out the victims of the storm and the roof collapse at the underground.
Victoria: You are such a good guy.
Stitch: Listen, Vick, um... when I was in the hospital, I heard there was a pretty bad accident last night. Chief Williams and his wife -- they lost their baby.
Victoria: Oh, God. So many people's lives have changed in the last few days. When I think about how close I came to losing Katherine and Johnny in the fire...
Stitch: Hey. I don't want to upset you, babe. [Chuckles]
Victoria: Just reminds me of how lucky Billy and I are. And you too, of course.
Chelsea: Okay. I changed into the prettiest dress I currently have access to. Now do you want to tell me what's going on?
Billy: I just want to spend an evening alone with the most beautiful girl on the planet.
Chelsea: Well, that's gonna be a little bit difficult, considering we have roommates.
Billy: No, Jack's out, Gabe and Sage are at the French bistro on 5th, courtesy of one William Abbott.
Chelsea: Huh. Generous guy, that William Abbott.
Billy: Yeah, I know. It's easy to be generous... when you're in love. Open it. Chelsea Lawson... will you do me the great honor and privilege... of becoming my wife?
Chelsea: No.
[Ring case snaps shut]
Chelsea: Here. Take it back. I know why you're proposing.
Billy: Yeah, because I'm absolutely crazy about you! And I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
Chelsea: No, because you think Gabriel has feelings for me.
Billy: Oh, my God! I thought that we cleared the air about this.
Chelsea: So did I, but apparently you have to see a ring on my finger in order to believe that you're the only man I'm committed to.
Billy: Okay, you know what? Maybe I do need to believe you're not going anywhere, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Gabriel. You and I could have died in that fire, and, yeah, I was the one who got trapped, but it could have just as easily been you, and the entire time I was thinking, "why didn't you tell her how serious you are about her? This isn't just fun and games." Chelsea, this is what I want. This is what I've wanted my entire life. Someone who understands me completely. For me. And I will my devote my life to it. If you'll let me.
Chelsea: Well... when you put it that way.
Billy: Oh. Looks like I might have miscalculated a little bit. But who the hell cares? You said yes. That was a "yes," right?
Chelsea: Yes.
Adam: Well!
Chelsea: Hi.
Adam: So this is why you sprung for dinner, huh?
Billy: What are you guys doing back?
Sage: Well, the bistro was closed by the board of health.
Chelsea: Nice place you sent them to.
Billy: It had good reviews online.
Adam: Anyway, we were gonna come back here and order a pizza, but we're obviously interrupting.
Billy: No, it's okay, um, I'm actually done with what I needed to do. Chelsea and I are engaged.
Nick: What are you talking about? Austin was an accident. You were nowhere around.
Phyllis: You could have done nothing to prevent it.
Summer: I can't do this. I need to be alone.
Noah: Summer, hey. Dad, don't worry. I got her.
Phyllis: Nick, we have been through this before. If she needs the time, we have to give it to her.
Nick: Yeah, but she's not making sense. I mean, why would she blame herself for Austin?
Phyllis: Maybe she's blaming herself for the affair. Maybe she's thinking that it set off some awful series of events. I don't know.
Nick: Austin is to blame for the affair!
Phyllis: Okay, you and I know that, but Summer is naive about a lot of things still. She went into this marriage thinking that love could conquer all.
Nick: Well, it's just a shame she had to find out so soon it's all just a myth.
Phyllis: I'm still hoping there's some truth to that.
Nick: Why don't you go home, okay? To Jack. It's been a rough couple days.
Phyllis: You will call me if you hear from her.
Nick: Yeah. You do the same, okay?
Phyllis: Okay. Thank you.
Nick: You know, some day... my little girl is gonna forgive you for breaking her heart. I never will.
Ashley: Abby, it's your mother. I just heard what Summer accused you of at the memorial. I want to talk to you.
Jack: Something tells me Abby is not gonna be too quick to get back to you on that.
Ashley: Sleeping with her niece's husband -- what the hell was she thinking? Of course, she hasn't had the best parental role models. Speaking of Victor... how is your new-found friendship going, anyway? Have you planned any fun outings, like maybe going to the movies, because I'm sure Victor would share his popcorn with you.
Jack: Oh, so that's what that was about.
Abby: What?
Jack: You're concerned about my new allegiance with Victor, so you're hiding your work. You don't trust me in this state-of-the-art lab that I paid for.
Ashley: That's not exactly it, Jack.
Jack: I know what I saw. You were shuffling around your notes when I walked in here. Let me remind you, I run this place. If I want to know what's going on here, I deserve some answers.
Ashley: Well, you know what? You're really interested in my research projects -- why don't you submit a request? How about that?
Jack: That is not what I'm talking about and you know it. We have always been open with each other about business.
Ashley: Oh, have we always been open, Jack? We've just always been open.
Jack: When it's prudent, yes.
Ashley: Well, guess what? I'm being prudent right now. You have been acting erratically.
Jack: You don't trust me?
Ashley: I have been to hell and back because of this fragrance. And you have not been acting like yourself. And I do not trust Victor.
Jack: Well, you'll be glad to know Victor and I are only working together to help Phyllis.
Ashley: Maybe that's why you're working with him. When it comes to Victor, his agenda always has another agenda behind the agenda.
Jack: That's not news to me. Look, I was a little surprised when he called a truce so quickly in our hospital room. That was before I saw him in the hospital chapel, coming out of the confessional.
Ashley: Victor confessing his sins? I'm surprised that the building didn't explode into flames from a lightning bolt.
Jack: I don't think he was confessing. More like conferring. The question is about what and with whom?
Victor: You either drop these ridiculous charges or you take yourself off this case. You can't possibly be objective.
Nikki: If only I could just see Christine and let her know how sorry I am.
Paul: Take Mrs. Newman to her cell.
Victor: Are you serious? That's not going to happen. The judge agreed to bail. And I've already posted it.
Nikki: [Sighs]
Victor: Why, thank you for showing up, Anderson. Officer, take those cuffs off my wife.
Nikki: [Clears throat]
Victor: Nikki and I will go home now. I suggest you visit your wife in the hospital. Let's get out of here.
Paul: This isn't over, Victor.
Adam: Engaged? That is quite an announcement.
Sage: That is wonderful news.
Billy: And you know what? It's all thanks to you, Gabe.
Adam: Thanks to me?
Billy: Yeah. Yeah, you gave me that push that I needed when you dragged me out of the burning building. I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Chelsea, so thank you for, well, for the inspiration.
Adam: Well, you are -- it's just -- you're welcome.
Sage: Your ring is really gorgeous.
Chelsea: It is, isn't it? I couldn't have designed a better one myself.
Adam: Pretty. Looks like your fiancé got the size wrong, though.
Billy: We can fix that.
Chelsea: You mean like right now?
Billy: Yeah, we got time before the jeweler's closes. We wouldn't want that to fall off your finger, would we?
Adam: No, we wouldn't want that -- wouldn't want that to fall off.
Billy: So, have a good night, guys.
Chelsea: Bye, guys.
Adam: Big news! Congratulations!
Chelsea: Bye. So... Billy is so great. Thanks for nothing.
Sage: Excuse me?
Adam: You tell Chelsea I have feelings for her and this is the result? You did everything but push them together, Sage.
Sage: They are together. And if you don't come to terms with that, you're gonna ruin this for both of us.
Nikki: Oh, it is so good to be home. I was beginning to think it would be a long time before I ever saw it again.
Victor: Well, sweetheart, come here. I promise you you're not gonna spend one night in jail.
Nikki: I know that you believe that. I thank you for wanting to protect me, but sometimes things happen that we can't control, we can't predict.
Victor: Well, I know. But you'll be all right, okay?
Nikki: Yeah, well, Paul and Christine won't be.
Victor: I know, I know, I know, I know, I know. I feel absolutely terrible. To lose a child like that is just...unimaginable. But, you know, time heals all wounds. They'll get over it and you'll get over it, too, okay? Let me handle things.
Nikki: I don't know.
Victor: Come here.
Phyllis: Sorry to interrupt. I'm gonna grab some things upstairs and I'll be out of your way.
Nikki: Oh, no, Phyllis, I'm glad you're here. You can keep Victor company while I go upstairs to rest.
Victor: Sweetheart, you call me if you need anything.
Nikki: I will.
Victor: [Sighs]
Phyllis: Should I ask?
Victor: There was an accident. Christine ran in front of Nikki's car.
Phyllis: Oh, that's a -- you're joking.
Victor: I'm not joking about a thing like that. Christine is all right but unfortunately they lost the baby. And now Christine is determined to punish Nikki for it.
[Knock on door]
Paul: Dylan, I'm sorry. I'm really busy.
Dylan: No, it won't take much time. I just came from seeing Christine.
Paul: Really thoughtful of you.
Dylan: I'm just a little concerned about her accusation, though. She's adamant that Nikki targeted her directly.
Paul: Well, that's true.
Dylan: What? Wait a minute. You don't believe that, do you?
Paul: We have credible witnesses that, uh, corroborate that, yeah.
Dylan: Maybe they have, but they're wrong. There's no way that Nikki would intentionally hurt anybody.
Paul: Well, unfortunately... she did. But don't get me wrong. She's not the only one responsible. Before all this happened, um... Chris and I had a disagreement. She went running off into the street.
Dylan: That doesn't mean that you're to blame for --
Paul: She's my wife, Dylan. She's pregnant. She's carrying my baby. She's got hormones running all over the place, and I treat her -- I treat her like a co-worker. So...I might as well have just thrown her in front of the car myself.
Dylan: Paul, don't do this to yourself. I mean, couples -- couples have fights.
Paul: It wasn't our first one over this. We, uh... we've been over this and over this for months. And I guess what it comes down to is it's about you.
Dylan: It's about me?
Paul: Yeah. See, I was -- I was...desperate to get to know you. And I guess I wanted to prove to me and everybody else that I was gonna be a better father to you than I was to my other two kids. And it brought me closer to Nikki. And I let it. I let it come between Chris and me. And it ended up costing us our baby.
Mariah: Is it me or was Abby particularly nervous? Like, even more scattered than usual?
Kevin: She's been in the bathroom a long time.
Mariah: She's probably thinking of an alibi.
Courtney: Summer, Noah, what are you guys doing here?
Summer: Same thing you guys are -- looking for answers.
Courtney: I can give you one right now. You didn't kill Austin, no matter what you might think you remember.
Kevin: The evidence points to somebody else. So, you want to tell her or should I?
Summer: Tell me what?
Kevin: The towel in Kyle's car -- it wasn't his blood that was on it.
Noah: It was Austin's.
Kyle: I punched him out for sleeping with Abby. But I explained all of that.
Mariah: Yeah, but you lied about it first, just like you lied about when you came back to town.
Noah: There was a video showing that Kyle was in G.C. Way before he said he was.
Kyle: Yeah, and I stayed out of sight because I suspected Austin and Abby were having a thing. I wanted solid proof before I sprung it on you.
Summer: Okay, well, you shouldn't have waited.
Kyle: I told you I was coming to the cabin to let you in on it, but by the time I got --
Abby: Can we please have a rational conversation about this now?
Summer: She's here? Oh, my God! How can you even stand to show your face? Not only did you sleep with my husband, for all I know you murdered him!
Abby: It wasn't me, I swear!
[All shouting]
Summer: You lying bitch! Ugh!
Kevin: Easy, easy!
Summer: [Breathing heavily]
Noah: Calm down. Can I let you go?
Summer: Yes. [Sighs]
Kevin: Okay, okay.
Summer: I won't do anything even though I really wanted to. I could have killed her, okay? If I felt that way about her. Who knows I didn't feel that way about Austin?
Victoria: Oh, my gosh. I'm so sorry. I can't believe that just came out of my mouth. It makes you sound like you were an afterthought, and you're not. It's just that, you know, Paul and Christine losing their baby reminds me of how close Billy and I came to losing our kids, and --
Stitch: Okay, okay.
Victoria: [Sighs]
Stitch: You don't have to explain. If max's life had been in danger, I'd be going nuts thinking about what Jenna and I stood to lose.
Victoria: Thank you so much for understanding. It's just so fresh in my mind I can't stop thinking about it.
Stitch: Me either. But for a different reason. It's like what I loved again for awhile there. You know, saving lives, patching people up.
Victoria: Yeah.
Stitch: I miss it.
Victoria: Enough to stop working in the lab with Ashley? Maybe return to medicine? If the board will reinstate you?
Stitch: I've been considering it. I have. You know, but it's not a decision I can make on my own. You and I, we are a team now. You know, and not just 'cause we're sharing a house or caring for Katie and Johnny. Whatever the future holds, we're gonna face it together.
Victoria: Yeah, together.
Sage: Aw! Sorry. I missed it. I wanted to be here for you.
Nick: Thanks. But I think I've been leaning on you too much as it is already.
Sage: Would you mind if I leaned on you, then?
Nick: Yeah. What's wrong?
Sage: My marriage. Keeping up the facade. It's getting harder and harder.
Nick: Well, making a real marriage work is hard enough as it is. You would think making a sham marriage work would be easy. You know how I feel about this and what I think you should do.
Sage: I should stop worrying about making everyone else happy and do what I want. But you know what that means, then. Fake marriage. Real divorce.
Adam: Jack. Where the hell have you been, man?
Jack: I have been at a memorial service and dealing with the fallout, so whatever's bothering you can wait till tomorrow.
Adam: No, no, it can't wait till tomorrow. Check this out. Your brother, Billy, proposed to Chelsea and she said yes.
Jack: I warned you you were waging a losing battle.
Adam: Well, I haven't lost yet, but... [Sighs] I need your help.
Jack: To do what?
Adam: You got to convince your brother this is a horrible idea.
Jack: No.
Adam: Jack.
Jack: I have helped you keep your identity a secret. I have allowed you to live in this house. There is a limit to my generosity.
Adam: Well, I suggest that you crack your heart open just a little bit.
Jack: Billy and Chelsea are happy. I, of all people, know how fragile that can be. I am not taking it away from them.
Adam: Billy's not gonna be happy much longer, is he, when I go to the police and tell them that he shot me?
Jack: I would be very careful with that. You could wind up in a cell right next to Billy's.
Adam: I'd do whatever it takes to get my family back. I'll do that with or without your help.
Jack: Wow! A new face, a new name, and he is still every bit Victor Newman's son. Congratulations. Your dad would be very proud that you're determined to win at any cost.
Phyllis: I am so sorry for Christine's loss. I really am.
Victor: It's too terrible to imagine.
Phyllis: As a mother, I mean, it just breaks my heart. The idea of a child dying or suffering. I mean, today watching Summer nearly killed me at the memorial. Especially after her painful revelation.
Victor: What revelation?
Phyllis: She remembered something she found out at the cabin. Austin was being unfaithful with her...
Victor: Oh.
Phyllis: ...With aunt Abby.
Victor: Oh, my goodness.
Phyllis: Yeah.
Victor: Oh, for heaven's sake. Poor Summer.
Phyllis: No comment about your daughter's behavior?
Victor: [Sighs] I just feel so...bad for Summer. Abby does what she wants. She -- I don't think anybody can control her. The girl has a good heart, but for her to end up with that useless punk, Austin? It's not good enough for her.
Phyllis: Tell me.
Victor: Yeah?
Phyllis: How can you be such a cold and calculating man one minute and soft as a kitty cat the next?
Victor: [Chuckles] Well, I can tell you this -- if someone needs to be punished, I'll see to it that they are. But I hate it when people suffer needlessly, as Nikki and Summer are suffering right now. I hate that.
Nikki: [Sighs]
Christine: [Sighs] I knew you couldn't stay away. [Sighs] Are you here to gloat?
Stitch: There you go. Keep the change.
Billy: Did a good job.
Chelsea: Yeah, it fits perfectly now.
Victoria: Hi.
Chelsea: Hi.
Billy: Hey, Vick. Stitch.
Victoria: Oh, wow. It looks like a congratulations is in order. [Sighs] Um...so, when did this happen?
Billy: Tonight, actually. Did you want a cup of coffee?
Chelsea: Sure.
Billy: Excuse me.
Stitch: Hey, uh, you know, I think it's terrific news, you know? I'm wishing you guys the best.
Chelsea: Thanks. Looks like we both got our happy ending after all.
Victoria: You guys should -- you should join us.
Billy: Actually, we've got a private celebration planned, so...
Victoria: Oh.
Billy: Yeah. But, um, another time then.
Victoria: Yeah.
Stitch: Sure. Why not? Yeah. Congratulations again.
Billy: Thank you.
Stitch: [Chuckles]
Stitch: Hey, so... uh, you know, I promised Ashley I'd put in a few hours at work, but...if you need me to cancel, you know?
Victoria: I'm okay. I mean, it's not like the engagement came as a shock or anything. In fact, it's kind of a relief, because now I can move on -- completely.
[Both laugh]
Victoria: You should go so Ashley doesn't get on your case and then blame me. You know she will.
Stitch: Yeah, we don't want that. Hey.
Victoria: Bye.
Stitch: [Laughing] Oh, come here.
[Both laugh]
Kyle: Hey. I made you some tea. Are you hungry? [Sighs] Boy. This place sure gets quiet once you've kicked everybody out. Look...Summer, I never meant to hurt you. I just...got caught up in something by accident when I saw Austin and Abby. I mean, you know something? I'm glad I did. I'm glad I found out what a creep he was, and if that meant you being furious at me when it came to tell you about it, then it was worth it because you'd be free of a guy who didn't deserve you.
Summer: Enough, okay? I cannot hear about Austin
Kyle: Summer... look at me. You deserve better. You know it. I know it.
Paul: Look, Dylan, I don't want you to misunderstand me. I couldn't be more grateful that you're in my life. I don't want you to doubt that for a second.
Dylan: Thank you for saying that.
Paul: I just should have told Chris...that she and the baby meant as much to me, as well. And that whatever Nikki and I shared was no threat to our marriage.
Dylan: Tell her now.
Paul: It's too little too late. See, we -- I failed her.
Dylan: No. Paul. [Sighs] I failed Avery... in a similar way once. And for a long time, I ran from it. And it only hurt her more, so if you don't want the same thing with Christine... don't run.
Nikki: Oh, Christine. I'm just devastated by what happened.
Christine: Why? Because you didn't kill me in addition to my baby?
Nikki: No! I -- I didn't see you until it was too late. It was just a horrible, horrible --
Christine: Your life is a mess, Nikki! [Sighs] And you want my husband to fix it. You want you and Paul and Dylan to be this perfect little family. But my baby and I were in the way and you had to eliminate us.
Nikki: That's not true. You ran into the street without looking --
Christine: Are you saying it is my fault that my baby's dead?
Billy: Did you hear what I said? That Chelsea and I are engaged?
Jack: Yeah, I heard you.
Billy: Wow. Overwhelmed by your response. No handshake, no "congratulations, bro!"
Jack: Look, the ink is barely dry on your divorce papers. Are you really gonna rush into this?
Billy: I'm not rushing!
Jack: The hell you're not.
Billy: Okay, maybe I'm going a little fast, but so what? Chelsea makes me happy. She's good for me. She brought me back after Delia died. I mean, isn't this enough for you? Or... is there something you know that you're not telling me?
Jack: Do I know something about Chelsea? No.
Billy: Okay. Well, then I'm going ahead with this wedding. Unless you can give me a damn good reason why I shouldn't. Something to tell?
Jack: No. There's nothing to tell. If this is what you want, I will stand behind you 100%.
Billy: You sure about that, Jack?
Jack: I'll even throw you an engagement party.
Billy: [Chuckles] Thanks, Jack.
Victoria: Yes, um, a tattoo removal. No problem. Yeah. It's painful. I've sort of developed a tolerance for that. Okay, great. I'll see you then. Hey! Abby! Hi. So nice seeing you here. Come on. Sit down. Let's talk.
Abby: [Crying]
Victoria: What's the matter?
Chelsea: Thanks for the refill. Huh. Well. If it isn't my new roomie.
Adam: Yeah. Where's, uh -- where's, uh, Billy? Don't tell me abandoned you the moment he put the ring on your finger.
Chelsea: No. Actually, I abandoned him. I had to go back to the jeweler next door to pick up this fabulous pair of earrings because they totally match my ring. I just had to have them.
Adam: Mm. Yeah. Can't let a good thing get away, right?
Chelsea: Yeah, I'm excited to show Billy. Excuse me. I'm just gonna call a cab.
Adam: You're calling a cab? I'll drive you.
Nick: Figure out a way to stick to your guns once Gabe argues against the divorce.
Sage: He's gonna be furious, all right? With his inheritance at stake.
Nick: Look, I've said it before. I'll say it again. Life is more than just about money.
Sage: Why is that rich people always say that about money?
Nick: Because we're all just a bunch of hypocrites. We can't possibly figure out how people with no money live.
Sage: I guess you're right.
Nick: Your life has never been about making money, right? Why let it become that now? Sage, you're unhappy. You have to change things. Gabe is just going to have to deal with that. And then in the meantime, you know you can always get a free meal at my club. Once I get that up and running again.
Sage: [Sighs]
Nick: Look, I've known Gabe a long time. I know you're worried about him. I know that he would never --
Sage: Hurt me? Not in the way that you think. Gabe isn't the same person you went to school with and he's not going to be okay with me turning against him. He will never be okay with it.
Summer: I'm not sure what I know right now. I thought in knew Austin, but --
Kyle: You know me. But... if you're afraid to trust it... let me prove it to you. Let me help you through this, Summer. Whatever you're feeling, it's okay to show me. If you're feeling sad, then go ahead and cry. If you're angry, then scream, break some plates. Just not the good china or Dad'll have a fit.
Summer: [Chuckles] All I want right now is to get some sleep without having any bad dreams. Thanks. Um... can you lock up for me when you leave?
Kyle: Like I said, I'm not going anywhere. [Sighs]
Kevin: [Sighs] Well, I guess we ought to clock in if we want to keep our jobs.
Courtney: You two might as well just go home.
Kevin: Yeah, this amateur detective stuff, it's not getting us anywhere.
Noah: What should we do? What do you want to do? Should we hand it over to the professionals over here? Tell the police and risk someone going to jail?
Kevin: No, no. Of course not.
Courtney: As much as I hate the idea of hiding this, I'd hate Summer going to prison even more.
Mariah: Someone out there knew that. That person who wrote that note on the mirror must have known we'd keep it to ourselves.
Noah: Which means they probably know us pretty well.
Kevin: Well, the question is how well do we know them?
Abby: Why do I pick the wrong guy at the wrong time and make everything worse?
Victoria: Love isn't always logical. Or painless.
Abby: Love? No. Did I say love? No, it was -- it was a fling. It was a dirty affair. That's all. That's all. He felt misunderstood and I could relate.
Victoria: So you were commiserating.
Abby: Yeah. No. I don't know. In the beginning, but then things changed. For me, at least, and I fell hard. I loved him more than I thought I ever could. [Sniffles] And it killed me that he didn't feel the same way about me. I couldn't bear for him to go back to Summer. I couldn't take it. [Sniffles] [Crying]
Victoria: Oh, sweetie.
Adam: It makes sense, doesn't it? I mean, we're both living under the same roof now. Why waste money on a cab when I can take you?
Chelsea: Well, it's not about the money --
Adam: No, of course not, but who wants to wait a half an hour -- is it, nowadays? -- For a cab when I can just take you? Plus if you let me drive you home, it'll give me a chance to explain to you how your engagement inspires me.
Chelsea: It inspires you?
Adam: Absolutely.
Chelsea: How?
Adam: You know, if you can get over you painful past and learn to love again, maybe there's hope for me. And Sage. Give me some pointers on the way home? What do you say?
Chelsea: Okay.
Adam: Yeah? I'll pull the car around. All right.
Stitch: Hey, you know, you've been here for hours. Why don't you go home?
Ashley: Well, you've been here for hours, too. Why don't you go home?
Stitch: I would. It's just, you know...
Ashley: What?
Stitch: Victoria and I ran into Billy and Chelsea earlier. They got engaged.
Ashley: Are you kidding me?
Stitch: No.
Ashley: He didn't tell me. Well, my baby brother works fast.
Stitch: [Chuckles]
Ashley: Well, that's good news for you, right?
Stitch: Yeah, you know? I think so. But... you know, I'm not really sure Victoria will ever really be able to get past Billy. [Chuckles]
Ashley: Seriously?
Stitch: Yeah. Everyone has that one great love in their life. I'm not so sure I'm it for Victoria.
Nikki: You misunderstood! I never meant to imply that it was your fault.
Christine: Why would you say what you did? Why?
Nikki: I just meant that you weren't watching where you were going.
Christine: You are making it my fault! Get out of here! Get out of here.
Nikki: [Gasps]
Christine: Get out of here, Nikki!
Nikki: If you would just let me explain.
Christine: Leave me alone. I don't want to look at you. Go away! Get away! Get her out of here, Paul.
Paul: What's going on?
Christine: She killed our baby! Get her out of here! Get her out of here! Are you happy, Nikki?!
Paul: Stop it. Stop it.
Christine: Did you get what you wanted? She killed our baby! She killed our baby! It's all her fault! I hate her! I hate her! I hate her!
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Summer: [Breathing heavily]
Victoria: Your real beef is with my father. Well, I'm not my father.
Ashley: Close enough, Victoria.
Sage: You and I are getting a divorce.
