Episode # 10618 ~ Sharon & Dylan bond; Nick & Phyllis try to be there for Summer; trouble at the Abbott cabin.

Provided By Suzanne

Summer: You slept with my husband! When?! Where?! For how long?! Answer me! Was it in my apartment?! Did you sleep with my husband in my bed?! [Breathing heavily]

Phyllis: He loved you. Austin loved you, sweetheart. No, no, no. You're not thinking straight.

Summer: No. I know exactly what I'm saying, and I know exactly what I saw! You had the nerve to sleep with

my husband! At least have the guts to admit it!

Sharon: I'm so glad you could make it.

Dylan: Yeah, I got your text. Is everything okay?

Sharon: Uh, yes. Oh, I didn't mean to worry you. This was supposed to be a good thing. You were just so wonderful to faith the night of the storm and, well, to me, really. But I wanted to do something for you in return.

Dylan: It was a rough night for everybody.

Sharon: Yeah, but I was spinning out, and you didn't make me feel crazy or irresponsible. You talked me down. And not a lot of people could do that or would even bother.

Dylan: Well, you know my story. I've been there, so I'm the last one to judge.

Sharon: Just because people have been there before doesn't make them kind or generous necessarily.

Dylan: Yeah, I guess you're right about that, but you would have done the same thing for me, right?

Sharon: Oh, yes. I mean, I would hope that I could help you. But that's not what happened.

You helped me and all of those other people at crimson lights. It's just in your nature to help people.

Dylan: [Laughing] So, what? You brought me over here for an ego boost? Not that I'm arguing.

Sharon: No, I brought you over for this.

Christine: [Sobs] [Sniffles] You called her a miracle. I can't believe it was a girl. And now she's gone.

Paul: I'm so sorry.

Christine: No, I want her back. I want her back inside me. I was supposed to protect her.

Paul: No. No, no, no, no. It's not you. It was -- it was me. I never -- I never should have said the things I said to you. I made -- made you think that I doubted you. I-I didn't respect you. It's not your fault. I mean, you had every right to want to get the hell away from me. If I had stopped you sooner, if I had... if I had never said those things...

Christine: Stop. We just wanted her so badly. She was so loved.

Paul: I love you so much.

Christine: I don't understand. How did this happen?

You willing to sign your name to the witness report?

Victor: Sweetheart, stop looking at the door. I asked you a question. What happened in the car tonight?

Nikki: Victor, I already told you. I was driving and I accidentally hit Christine, and I have already told you I was not drinking.

Victor: You tell that to the police. I want the truth.

Nikki: That is what I am giving you. I'm your wife. I thought you -- you came down here to support me, but all you've done since you've got here is call me a liar. Victor, it was a terrible accident. It breaks my heart. And that's all there is to tell.

Victor: [Sighs] I want to help you, but you need to tell me what the hell happened.

Nikki: I have already told you. I was not drinking.

Victor: Listen to me. I know you have been drinking and you have been drunk!

Nikki: Yes.

Victor: I wish you had come to me when you took that first damn drink. You should have trusted me.

Nikki: You mean the way that you're trusting me right now? Look at me. I am standing right in front of you, a foot away from you. Do I seem drunk?

Victor: No. But you seem awfully nervous right now.

Nikki: I'm in a police station!

Victor: You keep on looking at that damn door. Are you worried about what Neil is saying now?

Nikki: I think you should go get the results of the breathalyzer test. That will prove to you that I'm telling the truth.

Victor: Let me ask you something. Was this a symptom of your M.S.? Is that why you lost control of the car?

Nikki: Oh, my God. Why are you insisting on the worst-case scenarios? I told you. Christine ran out into the street. She went too fast, and I couldn't stop. Accidents happen, Victor.

Victor: Yes. Do I need to remind you that an accident happened when Adam ran over Delia? He would be in prison right now if he were alive not because of the accident, but because of the cover-up!

Nikki: Well, I am not Adam.

Victor: No! You're my wife. I want you to tell me the truth. This is serious business. I need to know what happened if I'm to help you.

Paul: No more talking, okay? You need to sleep so your body can heal.

Christine: I don't want to sleep. You forget what happened when you sleep.

Paul: That might not be so terrible for a while.

Christine: [Sighs] There was a-a car... [Sighs] In the street. Is that what happened?

Paul: Sweetheart, the doctors don't want you doing this. You had surgery, okay? You're in recovery.

Christine: I remember the headlights.

Paul: Don't need to bother --

Christine: No, it made me think about what happened with Phyllis all those years ago. It was just coming so fast.

Paul: Please don't do this.

Christine: Who did this? Did he stop? Did he -- did he even stop to care what he took from us?

Paul: The driver stopped. She's at the station.

Christine: She? Is it Phyllis?

Paul: No, no, no, no. I swear to you it's not Phyllis.

Christine: Okay, you got to talk to this person. Maybe it was on purpose. Maybe -- maybe it was someone I prosecuted or someone -- someone that they cared about. I need you -- maybe we were targeted. Maybe the baby and I were targeted.

Paul: Stop it. I want to be here with you right now, okay? My guys can handle this.

Christine: As your wife, I'm asking you, please, I need to know. I need to know why this would happen to me.

Paul: I don't want to leave you right now. Don't make me go.

Christine: Okay. I will calm down, but I... I need you to take care of that. Please.

Paul: [Sighs] Okay. But I'm not gonna go unless you promise me you will sleep and rest.

Christine: Okay.

Paul: And relax.

Christine: Promise. Just talk to the person who was driving that car and come back and tell me everything. Go, please.

Paul: [Sniffles]

Christine: [Sobbing] [Exhales deeply]

Sharon: I never get to cook for anyone anymore, and I thought this would be fun. And like I said, it's a thank you.

Dylan: Um, a thank you for my heroics?

Sharon: I mean it. For being such a good friend. I don't have a lot of those lately. You even stood up to your brother for me, and that's a big deal.

Dylan: Yeah, Nick's my brother, but all I had to do was tell him the truth. You're a good mom. You looked out for faith on a night where just about everything that could go wrong did go wrong, and all I had to do was point that out to him.

Sharon: Well, Nick backed down. That's pretty unusual. Impressive work.

Dylan: Ah, Nick did the right thing. Where is faith?

Sharon: She's at a sleepover tonight, so it's just adults and an adult version of a tea party to fight off the loneliness.

[Glasses clink]

Avery: Summer doesn't mean it.

Summer: Oh, like hell I don't mean it.

Jack: Just stay calm. We'll get her through this, okay?

Summer: Are you trying to comfort her? You don't hear her denying it! That's because she knows I'm right! Admit it, Abby!

Avery: Abby, tell her there's nothing to this.

Summer: Aunt Avery knows a lie when she hears one, so do it, Abby! Try to lie to my face and tell me I'm wrong!

Abby: [Sobbing] I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

Summer: That's right! Leave! Leave!

Nick: Let me. No! Abby! Stop! Stop!

Abby: Let go of me!

Nick: How could you do this? How could you do this to your own flesh and blood?

Abby: [Sniffles]

Nick: Help me understand how you could sleep with Summer's husband.

Abby: It wasn't like that.

Nick: Was Summer wrong?

Abby: No, it's not something that I did on purpose!

Nick: Well, I would hope not.

Abby: I was lonely after Tyler, and Austin, he was --

Nick: He's married.

Abby: Just like you were every single time you cheated.

Nick: This isn't about me right now. This is about Summer and you hurting her on purpose.

Abby: It wasn't about Summer.

Nick: Did you ever think about her once?

Abby: I just -- I just wanted --

Nick: You just wanted what wasn't yours.

Abby: I know, okay?! I know!

Nick: Earlier you said you felt lonely. How you feeling right now?

Abby: I'm in hell, Nick.

Mariah: You knew, didn't you?

Kyle: What? How is this about me?

Courtney: He's right. Don't do this here. We can't draw attention.

Summer: No, I want to hear this. Did you know about Abby and Austin?

Nick: Come on, Summer. I'm getting you out of here.

Jack: Nick's right. This is over, folks. No, we need to get you home or to Nick's place.

Phyllis: Just not here.

Summer: No. I want to know, Kyle. Did you know that they were sneaking around behind my back? Did you know that my husband and my aunt were laughing at me? Were you laughing with them? Did you think I got what I deserved because I married Austin?

Kyle: Look, I came to the cabin that night to tell you so that they couldn't lie or -- or deny it. They'd have to admit it to your face.

Summer: So you waited until Valentine's Day as a favor to me? That's great. That's so poetic. You know, who else?

Mariah: Who else, what?

Summer: I want to know who else knew. You and Abby were all hush-hush at the cabin. Was she bragging about her latest conquest?

Mariah: Summer, she knew better than to brag.

Summer: So you did know. Which means that you must have known, too, since you two share a brain. So I was the only one who didn't know! Only me! And nobody told me so they could just keep doing what they were doing, and I would just be poor, naive Summer! Right? Poor me! So stupid, so naive, so trusting and in love!

Phyllis: Okay, everyone out of here right now, please.

Kevin: Come on, come on, come on, guys.

Kyle: Summer, just --

Jack: No, no. Kyle, not now.

Avery: What do I do? Should I go? Do you want me to get a doctor?

Summer: No. Stay. Please stay.

Avery: Okay, whatever you need, honey.

Summer: I need to know why people say they love each other and then cheat.

Dylan: Sharon, uh, this is nice, and I really appreciate the gesture, but... I don't know, the night of the storm, maybe I gave you the wrong impression of where things stand with me and Avery. I just --

Sharon: Oh, God. No, I-I'm just so out of practice with having friends right now. This isn't -- I mean, I'm not... [Sighs] I'm just so embarrassed.

Dylan: No, no, don't be. We are friends, and, uh, yeah, maybe we didn't communicate too well.

Sharon: I swear this is just a thank you, just pasta and Chianti. But, I mean, if it's too awkward now --

Dylan: It's not that it's -- no, it's not that it's awkward, you know. I just got some things to handle with Avery and, uh, Austin's memorial service.

Sharon: Oh, right. The -- the service is tonight. You didn't go?

Dylan: No, I -- no, I didn't.

Sharon: Yeah, I didn't go, either, obviously. Summer kind of hates me right now. But Nick and I are in a better place about faith. Still, we're not exactly a family unit. As much as I would like to be there for Summer, she doesn't want that from me right now. So here I am. And I didn't even get the pasta water to boil, and I already scared you off.

Dylan: [Chuckles] I don't really, uh, scare that easy. But you know what? How about -- how about a rain check? And I'll even bring dessert.

Sharon: Rain check it is. And brownies. For the record, bring brownies next time.

Dylan: Will do. Uh, Sharon, actually, Chianti goes with all kinds of things, right?

Sharon: Yeah, it does.

Dylan: Well, uh, since you didn't get the water boiling... how about Chinese food?

Sharon: I'll get the menus.

Nikki: Victor, you can't torture yourself about Adam. He fled the scene of a crime. He destroyed evidence. That has nothing to do with what happened tonight.

Victor: Sweetheart, it started with a car accident.

Nikki: Which I have been completely forthright about. I told you -- I was driving, Christine rushed out into the street. I had no time to stop!

Victor: Listen to me. I know there's more.

Nikki: No, there is not more.

Victor: Why the hell won't you trust me to help you?

Nikki: Why don't you trust that I'm telling you the truth? I hope we're not too far gone that I can't count on you right now.

[Door opens]

Officer: You're free to go, Mr. Winters.

Neil: Thanks.

Victor: You all right? You don't look yourself.

Nikki: Take care of yourself, Neil.

Neil: It's been a long night. Good night, Victor.

Victor: Good night, Neil. Officer, as you heard Mr. Winters say and Mrs. Newman say, it was a tragic accident, okay? I'd like to take her home now.

Paul: She stays.

Nikki: What?

Paul: She stays.

Victor: She passed the breathalyzer test. And Neil corroborated everything she said as a witness and as a passenger. There was no wrongdoing.

Paul: Oh, really? I just came from the hospital... [Voice breaking] Where my wife was crying over the loss of our daughter. So don't you dare tell me there is no wrongdoing!

Victor: I'm very sorry.

Nikki: I know how much you wanted this baby, both of you. I know how wanted this child was.

Victor: You have my deepest sympathies.

Paul: I'll need to speak with you in private.

Victor: Your officer here took Nikki's statement and the results of the breathalyzer test. There's nothing else she needs to talk about.

Paul: That's my job to decide, Victor, not yours.

Nikki: Paul, I-I can tell you what happened over and over, but that's still not gonna give you what you need.

Paul: You know what I need?

Nikki: You need what anybody would want at a time like this -- to know why this horrible thing happened. But we're not ever gonna know that. I would do anything to fix it. I truly would.

Victor: Paul, as your friend, you're the chief of police. But I've got to tell you that you are not in an emotional state to do any further interrogation in this case. I think you should recuse yourself and appoint someone else to do the job.

Paul: You know, I'm not asking you in there to browbeat you. I just need to hear it myself, okay? I need to know.

Nikki: It's all right. You can talk to me, Paul. You can talk to me as long as you like.

Are you family?

Neil: Um, well, I'm -- I'm a worried friend. I just want to know how -- how she is.

She's very lucky.

Neil: It was that bad? And the baby? Come on. You can tell me. I'm -- I'm just about like family. Did...did she lose the baby?

Christine: Neil.

Neil: Christine. I am so sorry.

Christine: Come in.

Neil: I figured you'd be sleeping, and the doctor probably wants you to sleep, you know.

Christine: They were sort of Paul's orders, but the -- the dream, it... I knew it was a bad idea. It was so nice of you to come. Thank you.

Neil: I-I heard about the accident.

Christine: No accident.

Neil: What? I don't understand. Did they tell you what happened?

Christine: I know exactly what happened. I saw the car swerve right at me. It came right --

Neil: No, Chris, no --

Christine: Yes, Neil, I saw it. I-I felt it. I-I had nowhere to go.

Neil: Chris, it -- it was an accident. There was nothing deliberate about it. I mean, Nikki would never willingly hurt you.

Christine: Nikki?

Nick: Look, sweetheart, I know you're upset, and I feel terribly for you, but Avery does not deserve to be talked to like that.

Summer: I just want to know why people cheat. All of you have done it. Haven't you? You have all decided that you wanted to have sex with someone more than you wanted to protect the person that you loved. Austin was my first. He was my only, and I knew deep down in me that I would never want to be with somebody else. Even if I had a crush or an infatuation, I would never want to hurt him. But all of you made a different choice, didn't you?

Jack: Yes, we -- we all made choices.

Summer: Why? Why wasn't I enough for Austin? Was it because I wasn't experienced enough? Was it because he didn't really love me?

Jack: Summer, it wasn't anything you did, I promise.

Summer: You don't know that. You were married, and you decided that you wanted to be with Dylan. Every time you were together, you made a choice. Why did you want Dylan more than the person that you were married to?

Avery: Summer, I wasn't a good wife to Joe. Our -- our marriage, he and I had just -- it didn't work out the way it should have.

Summer: Because he wasn't enough for you.

Avery: I'm not saying that. He was constantly working and --

Summer: So you punished him?

Avery: I fell in love with someone else.

Summer: Well, maybe that's it. Maybe Austin fell in love with Abby.

Phyllis: I seriously doubt love had anything to do with it, sweetie.

Summer: Do you blame Joe?

Avery: I used to.

Summer: Used to? So, now who do you blame? Do you blame yourself? Do you blame Dylan? Do you -- do you wish you would have actually tried with Joe? Do you wish you would have never hurt him? Or do you just wish that no one would have ever found out the truth?!

Nick: Summer.

Avery: I don't have the answers for you, Summer. I'm sorry. And I... I'm sorry you're hurting so much. Okay.

Summer: I really didn't mean to go her. I swear I didn't. [Sighs]

Phyllis: What Austin did was selfish, and he hurt you. This was not your fault. You got it?

Courtney: Summer was right. You knew. What happened to all being in this together? Why the hell didn't you say something?

Mariah: I didn't find out until that night. And considering we had a dead body on our hands, my mind was elsewhere. What about you? You were gonna spring it on Summer on Valentine's Day? And then when Austin ended up dead, you didn't bother telling any of us.

Kyle: You think I was gonna tell you guys about Austin

before I told Summer? No. Not happening.

Courtney: Yeah, because you do know I'm a cop, right?

Kyle: A cop covering up a crime. I'd say you've lost the high ground in this one.

Kevin: We were covering for Summer.

Courtney: Yeah, well, what if we were wrong about that? What if it wasn't her we were covering for?

Kyle: I can't believe this. You guys really want to come at me about this again?

Kevin: You making it look like Summer killed her husband entitles us to come at you.

Kyle: You don't even know who you're covering for. You could be covering for yourselves! You have no idea! All we know is that Austin was cheating on Summer, and now he's in a casket.

Kevin: And he didn't get there by himself. Somebody wanted him dead.

Mariah: So, there we go. Who would be that mad and angry and jealous? Who would do something like that?

Dylan: [Sighs] Pasta is great. Not cooking sometimes...

Sharon: Yeah, sometimes even better. [Chuckles] I think we finished everything. Yeah. Except you're still wearing some of it.

Dylan: Did I get it?

Sharon: Here. Hold still. I'll get it. [Chuckles] There.

Dylan: [Sighs] Well, um, the food is gone. My work here is done. Let me help you clean up before I take off.

Sharon: No, no, I can get it, really. How about, uh, here -- fortune cookie for the road.

Dylan: No, just, you know, give that to faith.

Sharon: [Chuckles] You're so sweet to always be thinking about her.

Dylan: Oh, well, she's my little buddy.

Sharon: Well, good luck. I mean, with Avery. You said that you had all these things that you needed to deal with.

Dylan: Yeah, thank you.

Sharon: Thanks for keeping me company.

Dylan: Anytime.

Sharon: Careful. I might hold you to that.

[Door closes]

Paul: So, you were driving Neil home from the club?

Nikki: Yes.

Paul: Where was his car?

Nikki: Um, at the club, I guess.

Paul: So why didn't he drive himself?

Nikki: I wouldn't let him.

Paul: Why not? He's got his vision back.

Nikki: Yeah, he did regain his vision. But he lost a few other things along the way.

Paul: He'd been drinking?

Nikki: Yeah.

Paul: Since when?

Nikki: I just knew that as his friend, I couldn't let him drive.

Paul: I see. So, was it the plane crash or trouble with his marriage? I mean, was that the excuse he used to start drinking again?

Nikki: Addicts don't need an excuse. The need, the urge is not something that he asked for. And I know if he could make it go away, he would do that in a heartbeat.

Paul: But, um... you claim you were sober.

Nikki: You know, there's got to be something in there about my test results. Just look and you can see that I've been telling the truth.

Paul: What I see is my wife in the hospital... crying over our baby. You know, there is a reason, Nikki. I mean, there is -- there is cause and effect. I drove Chris away. I, uh, I made her feel like I doubted her.

Nikki: No, Paul, that's not your fault. You didn't cause this.

Paul: Then whose fault is it? You were sober. You were clear-headed. And -- and yet you ran down my wife. Did you aim for her? Did you just happen to turn the wheel just enough?

Nikki: No! My God, Paul! I-I already told you. I didn't see her in time to stop. You've got to believe that.

Victor: Listen carefully. I want you to come down to the police station. I want you to be Nikki's counsel before she says something that she'll regret. No, it's not that I doubt her. It's just that she's too trusting, especially with chief Williams, all right? You need to come down here so we can protect Nikki from herself.

Christine: Nikki was driving the car? Nikki is the reason my baby's gone?

Neil: Hold on a minute. No.

Christine: No, she's gone, Neil! She is gone! And from what you're saying, Nikki is the reason.

Neil: I-I am so sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. I thought Paul would have told you.

Christine: No, Paul didn't -- he didn't tell me.

Neil: He's right. There's time to hear everything. Right now, you should just rest and recover and relax.

Christine: Paul didn't omit that information for my sake. He did it because of Nikki, because he protects her always. He always puts her first.

Neil: Now, Chris --

Christine: He knew what she did to me and to us, and he didn't say anything to me.

Neil: I should get the doctor.

Christine: I told him to talk to whoever did this to me. He's probably with her right now trying to figure out a way to protect her.

Neil: What are you doing?

Christine: How to protect poor, fragile, murderous Nikki. He's probably with her right now! I've got to go!

Neil: No, no!

Christine: I've got to get to the station!

Neil: Stop!

Christine: Oh, my God. He's with her.

Neil: Shh.

Dylan: Hey.

Avery: Hi.

Dylan: How was the memorial?

Avery: Oh, God. It was...

Dylan: Summer not doing okay?

Avery: No, she's not, not when she found out that Austin had been cheating on her with Abby.

Dylan: Oh, man.

Avery: This man that she loved and trusted, she's there to say goodbye to him, and then she realizes what she lost she never really had. I mean, not the way she thought she did.

Dylan: Was Abby there?

Avery: Yes, she was, and she didn't deny anything. She just ran out.

Dylan: Oh, poor Summer. That's awful.

Avery: She was surrounded by all the adults whom she loves and trusts, and she looked at all of us and then she says, "why do people cheat?" And, Dylan, the look that she gave me, like I had all the answers on this subject, like I was the poster child for cheaters everywhere... [Sighs]

Dylan: What'd you say?

Avery: I didn't know what to say. I mean, I opened my mouth and words came out. I don't know if they made any sense.

Dylan: You used to know why we got together.

Avery: Of course I know why.

Dylan: No, what -- what -- what I'm saying is, you used to be really clear about it, you know, that there was nothing left between you and Joe, that you and I fell in love.

Avery: Yes. Because that's the truth.

Dylan: Yeah, maybe -- maybe that was. Maybe now you wish it hadn't happened.

Sharon: "He who has friends is never alone."

Jack: Come on, kiddo. We got to get you out of here.

Phyllis: Yeah, we can go home and talk or not talk. Just not here.

Summer: They're gonna take him away and put him in the ground. I need to be here just a little bit longer.

Phyllis: She needs time.

Jack: We can't just leave her here.

Phyllis: Nick and I will wait for her, honey. Just go home.

Jack: Be serious.

Phyllis: Just up until a few days ago, things could have ended very differently. We could have been here mourning you.

Jack: I am fine.

Phyllis: And you were exactly the support she needed tonight. But please, go home and rest now -- for me.

Jack: If you need backup...

Phyllis: I will call.

Jack: Okay.

Phyllis: Thank you.

Jack: I love you. If there's anything I can do to help...

Phyllis: If she needs some time, we should give it to her.

Nick: Yeah. We'll be outside, sweetheart.

Summer: [Sniffles] [Sighs] You son of a bitch.

Austin: Ah.

Abby: [Chuckles]

Austin: So, who is the one who got away?

Abby: Oh.

Austin: Daniel? Tyler? Or -- whoa, whoa, whoa. Read about some of them online. There was a prince of Norway.

Abby: [Laughs] No, no, no, no. That was just a fling. I loved his fjord.

Austin: [Laughs] It's kind of weird being with someone who's gone viral before.

Abby: Oh, my gosh. That is so embarrassing. Okay, let's just say that if you read it online, then it doesn't count. Do you really want to sit here and talk about all of my failed relationships since that's all I've ever had? [Laughs]

Austin: I mean, that's what couples do, right? I mean, we tell crazy stories about how we got some scar on our knee or...

Abby: Couple? No. Austin, we're -- we're not a couple.

Austin: We are in our own way.

Abby: In a pretend way. In a sneaking-around way. But...not a real way.

Austin: Isn't that real?

Abby: Don't say things like that. This will all go away sooner or later, probably sooner. And you'll realize that you belong with Summer and that I was a mistake.

Austin: You're wrong.

Abby: You don't know.

Austin: Yeah, I do.

Abby: [Chuckles] Just kiss me again.

[Door opens]

Kyle: You did it, didn't you? You killed Austin.

Avery: You honestly think I regret falling in love with you?

Dylan: I hit you.

Avery: This?

Dylan: Yeah, among other things.

Avery: This was an accident.

Dylan: Doesn't mean it's not my fault.

Avery: I don't care about this!

Dylan: What about when I woke up from my night terrors and practically crushed your arm?

Avery: Dylan, listen to me. The things that you have been through and what you've seen, that's all part of why I love you more now than when we first got together. You are an adult with a past, with shadows and scars. You have yours. I have mine.

Dylan: Yeah, well, maybe you've had enough of mine. Nobody would blame you.

Avery: Stop it. We're not letting go. The second we do that, we are lost forever, and you know that. Look, all we can do is forgive and hold on to each other no matter how scary things get.

Neil: Hey, listen, I'm sorry. If there's anything I can do, I'm happy --

You can go.

Christine: It's not his fault. One person did this. [Sighs] No one else.

Victor: I called Nikki's attorney. He'll be right down. If you have any further questions for her, then you ask them with him present.

Nikki: No, Victor, I don't think that's necessary.

Paul: Nikki's right. I have heard enough.

Victor: All right.

Nikki: So, will you go back to the hospital now?

Victor: Please convey our deepest condolences to Christine. This is a terrible loss. We'll go home now, and then if you need us for anything, just call, all right?

Paul: Walsh, read Mrs. Newman her rights. [Sniffles]

Walsh: Mrs. Newman...

Nikki: What?! Paul! What?!

Victor: Don't you touch her.

Paul: Fine. I'll do it.

Victor: Don't you touch her.

Nikki: Victor.

Paul: She's under arrest for attempted murder.

Nikki: But I --

Paul: You have the right to remain silent.

Victor: What the hell is the matter with you?

Paul: Anything you say can and will be used against you.

Victor: Are you serious?

Paul: You have a right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights as I have read them to you?

Summer: I trusted you. I had faith in you. [Voice breaking] Even my father said it. I saved you because of love. Because I knew that you were a decent, kind, loving person no matter what you had done. I defended you and I protected you and I promised to always, always love you. And you promised to love me back! You promised me that! How could you do this to me?! How could you just die?!

Abby: Yeah. Yeah, you guys are right. You know everything. You have all the answers.

Courtney: Abby, did you kill Austin or not?

Abby: I tried to end it with him!

Mariah: That doesn't mean that you didn't kill him!

Abby: I didn't!

Kevin: Oh, so that's it? We should just take your word for it?

Abby: I don't care what you take, but I didn't kill Austin!

Mariah: Yeah, because honesty has always been your thing, Abby.

Abby: If jealousy was the motive, then I pick you. Maybe you were pissed because he decided to cheat with me instead of you. Or -- or maybe it was you so you could have Summer all to yourself. Or maybe it was you because you saw the way that Mariah mooned over Austin.

Mariah: Hey, I never --

Abby: We all agreed that Summer couldn't stuff Austin's body into the armoire herself, but somehow I could? Hmm?

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Adam: I'm gonna do whatever it takes to get my family back. I'll do that with or without your help.

Dylan: Who -- who would do something like that?

Christine: Your mother. That's who.

Summer: Not only did you sleep with my husband. For all I know, you murdered him!
