Episode # 10600 ~ Neil sees Devon & Hilary in bed; Phyllis pushes Jack away; Nikki has a new confidante.

Provided By Suzanne

Hilary: You know, this is not why I came here.

Devon: Doesn't matter.

Hilary: It does. Devon, when I say that I'm tired of sneaking around, I meant it.

Devon: Don't get upset, though.

Hilary: How can I not? I mean, look at what I did.

Devon: Honey, honey, we're in love with each other. Okay? And we know exactly what we have to do. We're gonna tell Neil the truth.

Hilary: Now?

Devon: We're gonna wait a few days to give him some time to adjust to finding out he won't be able to see again.

Hilary: I keep imagining how it's gonna play out when Neil finally learns the truth.

Devon: So do I. How it'd be if I told him.

Hilary: Or if Cane gets fed up and tells him first.

Devon: Yeah. No matter how or when he finds out, it's not gonna be good.

Hilary: You know, as much as I want to confess, I am terrified of how Neil's gonna react.

Devon: It's okay.

Hilary: [Sighs]

Cane: Hey. Hey. Did you, uh, see Devon upstairs?

Lily: Yeah, did he help you track down Hilary? Dad, what's wrong?

Jack: Excuse me.

Yes, Mr. Abbott?

Jack: I'm looking for ms. Newman.

She has been released.

Jack: Released? When?

This afternoon, right after her initial psychiatric evaluation was completed.

Jack: Where did she go?

Phyllis: I couldn't go back to Jack's, not after he abandoned me in that mental hospital.

Victor: Of course you can't.

Phyllis: You know, I remembered what you said. That I could count on you after I got out of that place, and I'm taking you up on that.

Victor: All right.

Nikki: Victor.

Victor: Hi, sweetheart.

Nikki: What are you doing here?

Victor: Well, we have a guest.

Nikki: What do you mean, we have a guest?

Victor: Phyllis is gonna stay with us for a while.

Neil: I just got turned around, that's all.

Lily: Let's -- let's go sit over here.

Neil: No. Let's not. I'm -- I'm fine. Really, I am. Cane, why would you think that Devon would know where Hilary was?

Cane: Well, you said she was upset right now, so I thought she may have wanted to contact Devon.

Neil: But why Devon?

Lily: Maybe to talk things out? I mean, he is a good listener.

Cane: Yeah, so, uh, so did -- did you, uh, did you speak with him?

Neil: Hmm? Mm, uh, no, I didn't. I knocked on his door. He -- he wasn't there. I-I got his keycard right here. I didn't need it.

Cane: Anytime.

[Cell phone rings]

Oh, this is Jill. I need to, uh...

Lily: Go ahead. Take it. We'll -- we'll be over here.

Cane: Okay.

Lily: Here. Let's sit down.

Neil: Yeah. Let's... let's sit down.

Lily: Dad, you seem really sad now. Let me help you, okay?

Neil: How could you help me?

Lily: Convince you you don't have to worry about Hilary. I mean, she's a really strong woman.

Neil: Oh, yeah. That she is. She somehow manages to adapt, doesn't she?

Lily: You know, I'm gonna go look for her.

Neil: No, no. Don't do that.

Lily: I really don't mind. I swear.

Neil: No, that might be a bad, bad idea.

Lily: Dad, I really think you two should be together tonight when you're both trying to deal with this.

Neil: Did you hear what the doctor told me today?

Lily: Devon told us. And I'm really sorry. I know you're disappointed, you know, and -- and Hilary.

Neil: Hilary and I will deal with it, each of us in our own way.

Lily: I don't understand. You -- you wanted to find her, and now you don't. What changed your mind?

Neil: I realized that my wife might not want to be found quite yet. And I should give her whatever space that she needs, um, before I talk to her again.

Lily: I think sometimes that's best.

Neil: I am so foolish. I've been going about this thing all wrong.

Lily: What do you mean?

Neil: I wish I knew. No. No. Lily, nothing. I -- come on, baby. I'm fine, really.

Lily: Dad, stop it. Nobody would be fine after learning what you did today.

Neil: [Chuckles]

Lily: That you're not gonna be able to see again. We are all here for you, okay? Whatever you need.

Neil: I don't need anything right now. Thank you, lily. Thanks.

[Cell phone rings]

Neil: Uh, that's probably something very important, so you should just go ahead and deal with it, whatever it is.

Lily: I'll be right back, okay?

Neil: Okay. All right.

Lily: I just... I just called a waiter over, so get something to eat, okay?

Neil: Hey.

Lily: Yeah?

Neil: Hey. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

Lily: I love you.

Neil: Yeah. Mm-hmm. I love you, too.

Can I get you started with something, sir? A coffee? Cocktail?

Neil: Yeah. Some coffee, please.

And will anyone be joining you?

Neil: I'm expecting two more any minute now.

Devon: Telling Neil is gonna be painful.

Hilary: He'll be so hurt.

Devon: He thought that you two would have forever together.

Hilary: Yeah, but, you know, Neil -- he's not mean. He's not vindictive.

Devon: I would be if someone took you away from me.

Hilary: But you're his son.

Devon: Is that supposed to make it easier for him to forgive me or harder?

Hilary: What have I done to Neil, to you?

Devon: Sweetie, please, whatever you do, don't regret loving me. 'Cause as hard as all this is gonna be, I still thank God every single day that I have you.

Hilary: But with everything that Neil's going through, he needs someone, too.

Devon: He has his people. He has his family. He has Cane and lily.

Hilary: And you.

Devon: I'll always be there for Neil is he'll let me be. And he'll have the truth, which he'll hear from us.

Hilary: And I'll finally be able to breathe again.

Devon: And I'll finally be able to look at you like this in public.

Hilary: You are risking everyone turning their backs on you.

Devon: Hilary, I can't live without you. And I don't want to. And I know that I can face anything as long as you're with me.

Hilary: I feel the same way. Devon.

Devon: Hmm?

Hilary: You have to promise me something. We'll tell Neil before Valentine's Day, okay? Because I can't bear the thought of him planning some big surprise and then...

Devon: Okay. Okay. I swear to you. Before Valentine's Day, we will tell him. We'll be able to be together. All right?

Paul: Dr. Barrett, I'm Paul Williams, chief of police of Genoa city. And this is our district attorney, Christine Williams.

Dr. Barrett: Is there a legal problem with one of our patients?

Paul: We were recently informed that Phyllis Newman has been released.

Christine: And since a judge ordered her admission into this facility, we'd like an explanation.

Dr. Barrett: After I examined her, I found no reason to continue to hold ms. Newman here.

Christine: We were under the impression she was unstable.

Dr. Barrett: That had yet to be determined. That's why the court ordered an evaluation.

Christine: So does that mean you've rejected the premise that Phyllis was temporarily insane when she attempted to poison Kelly Andrews? Have you found her fit to stand trial?

Jack: Phyllis was released from Fairview.

Kelly: She's out?

Jack: As of this afternoon. I was afraid she might have come straight here to confront you.

Kelly: No, she didn't, but it's nice of you to be concerned about me, Jack.

Jack: Have you checked your messages lately? She might have tried to contact you.

Kelly: Oh, no, I-I haven't, but -- but I will.

Jack: Thanks.

Kelly: Wow. I'm surprised.

Jack: What? That she was released?

Kelly: No, that she didn't go running home to see you. I mean, she didn't even call?

Jack: No.

Kelly: Gee, that's kind of hurtful.

Jack: I choose not to look at it that way.

Kelly: Of course you do. Because you're devoted to Phyllis. But her not reaching out to you, I mean, that should tell you everything you need to know, Jack.

Jack: Phyllis has been through hell.

Kelly: I understand that.

Jack: I've said this before. I want to make sure you hear it. I'm not giving up on Phyllis. You and I have no future together.

Kelly: Maybe not. But are you so sure that you have a future with Phyllis? Where else would your fiancée rather be if not with you? Jack?

Jack: I got to go. If she contacts you...

Kelly: I'll -- I'll let you know.

Jack: Thanks.

Nikki: I need to speak with you privately, please.

Victor: All right. Phyllis, there's a bathroom upstairs to the left if you need to freshen up.

Phyllis: Thank you.

Victor: All right.

Phyllis: Thank you both.

Nikki: What the hell is going on here?

Victor: Jack sold her place. She needs somewhere to stay.

Nikki: She's staying with Jack. She can just stay a little bit longer.

Victor: He is the wrong person to stay with. He is responsible for her being locked up.

Nikki: Oh, please. Don't make it sound like he threw her to the wolves. She was in a very bad way.

Victor: And she's still in a bad way, all right? She's in trouble. She needs someone to rely on.

Nikki: Why does she have to rely on us? You promised me that you would finally prioritize our marriage, our relationship, and then you turn around and you do this?

Victor: What is wrong with trying to help the mother of our granddaughter?

Nikki: Oh, Victor, please.

Victor: What do you mean?

Nikki: Underneath that sappy sentiment lies a much more selfish plan. You just want to stick it to Jack. God knows that's the only thing that matters to you.

Victor: [Sighs]

Cane: How is he doing? What did your dad say?

Lily: Not much. He's trying to act like everything's fine, but I can tell that his heart is broken.

Cane: Yeah. Yeah, life can be unfair.

Lily: Why is everything suddenly going wrong? It's like first the emergency with the guests in the room, and then this happening to my dad, and there's you.

Cane: What about me?

Lily: You still haven't told me what you're keeping from me. Am I losing you?

Cane: No. Baby, you're not gonna lose me. You'll never lose me.

Lily: You've been so distracted, you know, and then you go from running chancellor to being Jill's second in command.

Cane: I explained to you, I-I didn't want to run chancellor.

Lily: Cane, there is something else going on with you. I can tell, and it's scaring me. What are you keeping from me? What is it?

Neil: Thanks.

Devon: Hey, dad.

Neil: Hey.

Devon: What are you doing here?

Neil: Well...hmm. I was looking for my wife.

Devon: Looking for your wife? Did Hilary have a meeting scheduled here or something?

Neil: I figured she'd be searching for you. After all, she shares so much with you.

Devon: What's going on with her?

Neil: After you left my place, you know, she seemed extremely upset.

Devon: Well, we were all upset that you're not gonna be getting your sight back.

Neil: Yeah. I know. But it goes way beyond that.

Devon: Why? What -- what did she say?

Neil: I don't know. She said something about, um, our situation being really wrong, being impossible.

Devon: That it?

Neil: No. Then she ran out the door, and she was desperate to -- to tell me something, but, gosh, she just couldn't do it. Maybe, um... maybe you have an idea what it is.

Dr. Barrett: I'm still examining ms. Newman's case. I've yet to determine if she's capable of standing trial.

Christine: Well, Phyllis Newman has an extraordinary talent for deception and manipulation.

Dr. Barrett: That may well be, but I can assure you, ms. Williams, I'm an experienced professional quite capable of discerning the difference between reality and pretense.

Paul: Then we will be anxiously awaiting your final report, doctor. Thank you.

Dr. Barrett: You'll each be contacted as soon as I submit my findings to the court. In the meantime, ms. Newman will continue counseling with her personal psychiatrist, getting the support and help that she needs.

Victor: Who was that on the phone?

Nikki: Guard gate. We have another guest.

Victor: Who?

Nikki: You deceived me, Victor. You led me to believe that things would be different.

Victor: They are going to be different.

Nikki: No, they are not different. I'm still a fool.

Victor: What are you talking about?

Nikki: How I could think that your love for me could be outweighed for anything, including your hatred for Jack!

Victor: Us taking in Phyllis for a while has nothing to do with Jack Abbott.

Nikki: Oh, my God. How can you possibly say that?!

Victor: Listen to me. I'm the one who brought her out of her coma. I'm the one. I was responsible for that. And I told her then she could rely on me.

Nikki: That is more important than your commitment to me!

Victor: Nothing is more important than my commitment to you. That's nonsense. But if I make a promise, I keep it.

Phyllis: Nikki, thank you for your hospitality. I know that this is an imposition.

[Knock on door]

Nikki: Well, aren't you gonna answer it? We all know who it is.

Jack: Phyllis is here, isn't she?

Victor: Better here than with you.

Cane: The reason I-I-I stepped away from the CEO position in Chancellor...

Lily: Are you sick? Is that what you're keeping from me?

Cane: Look... I love you. I love spending time with you and the kids, and I don't want a job that's going to take me away from you guys.

Lily: That's not bad. That's sweet. Why wouldn't you tell me that?

Cane: I thought that if I told you this, then you would feel responsible, you know, for me taking a lesser role. I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to make you feel guilty.

Lily: No, look, I never want you to sacrifice what you want for me. Never.

Cane: You know I love you, right? I love you, I love our kids, I love our home, I love everything. There is nothing in this world that is more important than that. You know that, right? And I won't let anything come between us.

Lily: Honey, there is nothing that could ever come between us.

Cane: Okay. Okay.

Devon: Emotions have been running high with everyone lately, you know, all of us. I think that's probably what's going on with Hilary.

Neil: Nothing more? Are you sure?

Devon: Not as far as I know.

Neil: Hmm. Poor Hilary. She's been so strong. She's been caught in an unexpected situation. Being married to a blind man who couldn't be there for her as a husband.

Devon: Come on, now. What are you talking about? You're an amazing man.

Neil: Am I?

Devon: You know that. Look at how you've handled being blind. Look how you've handled your alcoholism. I mean, you can take on anything life throws at you. Don't ever forget that.

Neil: I will always remember those words that you just said to me as I keep moving forward.

Devon: Good.

Neil: I just know how much you care about me. I do. I used to be afraid that you worrying about me was taking its toll on you. And now I'm not -- I'm not worried about you, because you -- you got a really good woman in your life, and that woman is...Gwen. Sweet, sweet Gwen.

Devon: Yeah.

Neil: Hey. We both have wonderful women in our lives, don't we?

Devon: Yes, we do.

Neil: Yes, we do.

Devon: Yes, we do.

Neil: Hey. [Clears throat] I'm gonna take off, you know?

Devon: All right. And I will, uh, I'll see you later, man.

Neil: My man. Goodbye, son.

Devon: See you.

Christine: Phyllis is gonna get off on a temporary insanity defense.

Paul: Chris, don't get ahead of yourself.

Christine: I am behind on this. My suspect isn't even in custody.

Paul: And Phyllis is continuing therapy.

Christine: She has a way of manipulating psychiatrists. Does Dr. Tim Reid ring a bell?

Paul: Tim Reid had his own issues, and this is a completely different situation.

Christine: Is it?

Paul: Wow. You know, I wish you would watch out for your stress level.

Christine: Sweetheart, stop being so over-protective.

Paul: I'm not over-protective. We haven't forgotten about the scare we had with the baby.

Christine: It wasn't a scare. It was a cramp.

Paul: That's what you keep saying.

Christine: And the doctor did, too. I went in for a check-up. You know that.

Paul: Yes.

Christine: Okay, so stop worrying. I got a clean bill of health, and I am not going to let Phyllis get the best of me or our baby.

Paul: All right, well, I'm gonna hold you to that. And if you can't figure out a way to take a couple of steps back, I will look into some other options.

Christine: [Sighs]

Jack: I need to speak with Phyllis.

Victor: Phyllis, would you like to speak with Jack?

Phyllis: That's fine, Victor. No point in avoiding the inevitable.

Jack: Come home.

Phyllis: Your home?

Jack: To our home.

Phyllis: No thanks. This is where I'll be living for now.

Jack: You're going to stay here with him?

Phyllis: Why not? He's the man who saved my life.

Jack: He endangered your life.

Victor: Let me ask you something, Jack. Where were you when she wasted away in a coma?

Nikki: Please. This is enough. We need to let Jack and Phyllis be alone to hash this out. I'm out of here.

Victor: Phyllis, will you be all right?

Jack: Oh, for god's sake.

Phyllis: I'll be fine, Victor.

Victor: You call me if you need anything.

[Door slams]

Phyllis: Well, I don't know how much more clear I can make it. Uh, you may say that I am wrong or delusional or that I am making the biggest mistake of my life.

Jack: What if I was saying that I'm the one who made the mistake? That I was wrong? And I will do anything I have to to make it up to you.

Christine: Okay, so were you hoping this hot chocolate would soothe me, or were you banking on this brisk air to jolt Phyllis out of my mind?

Paul: Oh, come on. You don't think I'm that manipulative, do you?

Christine: Hmm.

Paul: Don't answer that. I want you to get a glimpse of what we have to look forward to.

Christine: More walks in the park?

Paul: Well, not just that. I-I want you to -- I want you to picture us like a few months from now when the weather's warmer and you and I are walking hand in hand, pushing a little baby stroller with our little son or daughter in it right down this very same path.

Christine: I can see it. I see it. I see it.

[Both laugh]

Paul: I want you to continue to see it. I want you to remember. I want you to think about everything we have to look forward to. And when things get crazy with Phyllis and you want to pulverize her, I want you to think about the future that we have, the three of us.

Christine: Okay.

Kelly: Excuse me. Um, I'm here to see Dr. Barrett.

Uh, regarding a patient?

Kelly: Phyllis Newman.

Phyllis: Nothing will make me forget what you did to me.

Jack: I'm not asking you to forget.

Phyllis: Then why are you here?

Jack: I am here to plead my case.

Phyllis: I'm not interested.

Jack: Why? Because you're worried you'll come back to me? Is that why you wouldn't talk to me yesterday, why you're running from me today?

Phyllis: I'm not running. I'm choosing.

Jack: Without knowing the choices at your disposal?

Phyllis: Fine. Say what you came here to say.

Jack: Okay, good. I'm here to say I let you down. You came back to me, and I was less than you deserved. I doubted you. I should never have done that. I should have known you would fight your way back here. And I should have scoured the earth to find some cure, someway to make you well again no matter what the doctors said to me, and I should never have allowed myself to get involved with another woman. I know you lost a year of your life. When you woke up, you came running to me.

Phyllis: My mistake.

Jack: I should have been a safe haven for you. Instead, I made you feel unsafe and unsure, and I will never forgive myself for that.

Phyllis: Yeah, well, you know what? I made a mistake, too.

Jack: No, no.

Phyllis: To think that we could pick up where we left off when so much time has passed for you, you know. I hit the ground running 100 miles an hour because that's who I am, but it didn't work. We can never go back to what we had, Jack.

Jack: Perhaps we can't, but we can start over.

Phyllis: Really? Why don't you tell me how?

Jack: Come home with me. Let me prove to you I can be the man that you need. I love you. I still want to marry you. That engagement ring was a promise -- where's the ring?

Phyllis: I took it off. Because you broke that promise to me.

The usual?

Nikki: Yes, I think I shall, but this time, I --

Neil: Go ahead, Nikki. Have a drink. I am.

Paul: So, here's my idea.

Paul: So, here's my idea. I will put the crib together, and maybe I'll get Dylan to help me if I have trouble with the instructions.

Christine: [Laughs]

Paul: But I can put up the curtains, I can paint the walls, I can do everything you could possibly think of to get the nursery ready.

Christine: Nice. What about me?

Paul: Well, you, uh, are in the enviable position of being able to, uh, boss me around and criticize my work.

Christine: Okay, and as appealing as that sounds, I think I'll roll up my sleeves and help you out a bit.

Paul: Well, that's exactly my point, Chris.

Christine: You know what? No heavy lifting. I promise. Look, the reality is, there will be plenty for me to do.

Paul: Yeah, I guess that, you know, I just want you to be careful.

Christine: Whoa! Oh, my gosh.

Paul: Sorry.

Christine: [Laughing] You were saying?

Paul: Well, I think that illustrates my point perfectly. You can't be too careful.

Christine: Okay, you know what? You just take care of yourself. The baby and I will be just fine.

Paul: Yeah.

Christine: Let me grab your hand here.

Paul: [Laughs]

Christine: Okay. We're walking.

Paul: One step at a time.

Cane: So, the reason that Jill called earlier is we're thinking of moving chancellor's offices.

Lily: Out of Genoa city?

Cane: Yeah, to Chicago. There's a, uh, a major conglomerate there that wants us to maybe lease some space from them, so Jill and I will go and check it out.

Lily: When will this happen?

Cane: We don't know yet. So, we'll go and have a look and... why don't you come with us? Why don't you come with me?

Lily: [Chuckles] I don't know.

Cane: Why? Are you worried about dad or...?

Lily: Of course I'm worried about him -- and work and the kids.

Cane: We can get away, you and me, alone, no kids. We could celebrate Valentine's Day.

Lily: I'm worried about dad, you know, but... I guess he would have Hilary with him.

Cane: Yes, he would.

Lily: And it has been awhile since we've had a romantic getaway.

Cane: Say yes. Say yes.

Lily: Okay, yes. [Laughs]

Devon: Sorry, guys.

Lily: [Chuckles] Brotherly timing. I love it. What do you want?

Devon: The, uh, chef is looking for you.

Lily: Oh, okay. I'll be right back.

Cane: Bye.

Devon: So, I just talked to Neil downstairs, and I almost had a heart attack when I saw he was here.

Cane: Let me guess. 'Cause you were upstairs having sex with his wife, right?

Devon: I appreciate you not saying anything to Neil.

Cane: I have to lie to lily, and I hate it. I can barely look her in the eye. Do you understand that?

Devon: Thank you for not saying anything to lily.

Cane: I don't want your thanks. The only reason I've not told her is I know it would crush her if she knew what you were doing.

Devon: Cane, I have told you --

Cane: Do you have any idea how much damage you are about to cause this family? Do you?

Neil: Shocked?

Nikki: That you can see? I'm astonished.

Neil: No one's more surprised than I am. For months, you know, I've been blind. And tonight, all of a sudden, the lights come back on.

Nikki: Neil, that's wonderful. But -- but you seem upset. I don't -- I don't understand. Why are you drinking?

Neil: Well, I'm drinking because I just saw the devil in disguise.

Nikki: You want to talk about it?

Neil: No, I don't. I'm probably here in this bar for the same reason that you are. To forget. You know, it's terrible when people that you love and trust have let you down.

Nikki: Yeah. Sometimes it's not people. It's a person.

Neil: Victor. Yeah, don't worry. Secret's safe with me. I'm not gonna tell anybody I saw you in a bar instead of an A.A. Meeting.

Nikki: Which is where we really should be.

Neil: Oh, no, it shouldn't be, because you can't drink at an A.A. Meeting, can you? So, uh...

Nikki: You know what? I'm gonna have that drink after all.

Neil: Yeah, I-I will, too. Hit me again. Victor?

Nikki: You've him known long enough to know what he's all about, what he's up to.

Neil: Let me guess. Making promises that he's not keeping.

Nikki: Thanks. As upset as I am with him, I'm even more upset with me. I mean, I keep setting myself up to be devastated. I'm such an idiot.

Neil: Yeah, I know that feeling. Nikki... I walked in on my wife having sex with my son.

Nikki: What -- Devon? Hilary and Devon?

Neil: Yeah, they were playing music, soft candles, between the sheets. It was the first thing I saw when I got my vision back.

Nikki: Oh, my God. What did they say?

Neil: I left. I left before they even knew I was there, see? I haven't told anybody, right? I ran into Cane and lily, Devon. I just pretended. See, what I'm doing here is I'm trying to flush out who I can trust.

Nikki: Neil, I'm so sorry.

Neil: Yeah, me too. And Devon, you know, I tested him. I-I asked him some questions and I gave him the perfect chance to come clean with me.

Nikki: They'll tell you that they love you, and then they lie right to your face.

Neil: Yeah. I know that feeling.

Nikki: [Sighs]

Neil: I just keep replaying, you know, these old conversations. Old memories put all this in a new light. I'm trying to figure out how -- how long has this affair been going on, right? And -- and then there's Cane, my son-in-law. I think he's known about this damn thing all along.

Nikki: What about lily?

Neil: Oh, God bless lily. I really don't think she's aware. But I'm wondering who else might be making fun of me behind my back, or worse still, making fun of me right in front of my face when I couldn't see anything. Nikki, I feel so betrayed here! I-I feel like a fool!

Nikki: I hear you. So, what are you gonna do?

Phyllis: I couldn't keep wearing that ring. Not after what happened at Fairview.

Jack: Don't you know it killed me to leave you there?

Phyllis: Then why did you? I know that I was all over the place after I was arrested, and I know that Avery and Michael felt that my psychiatric evaluation was necessary to build my defense. But when I was screaming for you, Jack, begging for you to not desert me and you walked away anyway, that was a knife in my heart. And you did it again. You walked away from me when you should have stayed and helped me fight for my life!

Jack: I thought I was keeping you safe. I thought I was keeping you out of prison.

Phyllis: And even after all of that, I have not stopped loving you.

Jack: You haven't?

Phyllis: No, but I don't trust you anymore, Jack. And I want to trust you again.

Jack: What do I do? Tell me. Tell me.

Phyllis: I need space! And I need time to think. And I-I-I need you to take this and just go.

Phyllis: If you want to regain my trust, you're gonna have to start respecting my wishes.

Jack: I'll go.

Phyllis: Thank you.

Jack: If I'm regaining your trust, though, you should know what my plan is.

Phyllis: What's that?

Jack: I have every intention of winning you back again. I'm putting this ring back on your finger.

[Door closes]

Victor: Everything all right?

Phyllis: Yeah, I-I-I don't know what the future holds for us. Hell, I don't even know what the future holds for me.

Victor: Well, you know this may have to be adjudicated in court. That means a trial, so I think you should prepare yourself.

Phyllis: I will use my time here to build myself back up, because I am done falling apart. I refuse to be anyone's victim again.

Dr. Barrett: Ms. Andrews?

Kelly: Yes.

Dr. Barrett: Dr. Barrett.

Kelly: Oh, yes. You said you wanted to speak with me.

Dr. Barrett: I think you can provide some valuable insight into Phyllis Newman's recent state of mind.

Kelly: Me? Well, I'd be happy to help you in any way I can.

Devon: Don't imply that I don't care about the repercussions of my actions, all right? I hate what this is gonna do to Neil and lily.

Cane: Well, if you hate it, you would stop doing what you're doing.

Devon: I've told you more than once --

Cane: Oh, that's right. You can't stop doing it 'cause you're in love.

[Cell phone rings]

Devon: Hey. Are you at home?

Hilary: No, not yet. Um, but I saw you talking to Neil. What was that all about?

Devon: Well, his main concern was you and how you're handling his news.

Hilary: That's my husband. He finds out that he's never gonna see again, and who's he worried about? He makes this so hard, Devon.

Devon: But there's no turning back now.

Neil: What am I gonna do? I don't know, but I'm contemplating all my options here.

Nikki: Well, there were aren't very many ways to go here. I mean, you could confront Hilary and Devon and try to live with it as long as you can. Maybe it'll end. Or maybe they'll tell you the truth.

Neil: Or maybe I can make them pay.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Joe: I'm not done talking to you!

Nick: You screwed up, kid, but because I love my daughter so much, I'm not firing you.

Austin: That's fine. I quit.

Adam: If your husband walked through that door right now, would you take him back?
