Episode # 10589 ~ Colin forces Devon into a corner; Dylan plans his revenge; Lily & Cane heat things up.
Provided By Suzanne
Jack: Phyllis poisoned you?
Kelly: That's right.
Phyllis: Oh, nice try, honey. PS. You're insane.
Kelly: Don't deny it, Phyllis. You know it's true.
Jack: Okay, first of all, you have no right just walking into my home --
Phyllis: Our home.
Jack: Our home without being invited. Second of all, you have -- where do you get off throwing accusations like that at Phyllis?
Kelly: It's what happened, Jake.
Jack: I don't believe you.
Kelly: Jack.
Jack: You need to leave now.
Phyllis: You heard him, Kelly.
Kelly: I was just released from memorial hospital. The doctor in the ER who treated me said I was lucky to be alive. I almost died because of her.
Phyllis: Oh, you are such a liar!
Kelly: You want proof? Here. Here are my release papers from the hospital dated today. I'm telling you the truth, Jake.
[Knock on door]
Cane: Hey.
Joe: Cane, come in.
Cane: Thanks.
Joe: Uh, look, I've got to be somewhere, so if you don't mind, we can make this short.
Cane: Yeah, sure, sure. Um, I found a, uh, a property for you to redevelop as an alternative to the warehouse district.
Joe: Yeah, I bet you did. And let me guess -- you're presenting me with this wonderful opportunity because, uh, the land isn't owned by Victor Newman.
Cane: If Victor's end of the deal falls through, I'd -- I'd be quite happy with that.
Joe: Right, because if the deal doesn't go through, Victor doesn't get the cash to shore up his company, ultimately forcing him to sell off his division of chancellor, where you and Jill will be anxiously awaiting.
Cane: This is true. But setting aside what I personally stand to gain from this, I think it would be a good idea for your consortium to consider these options, because this community does not want crimson lights and the other mom-and-pop stores in that area to vanish. They just don't want it.
Joe: Deal's in the 11th hour, Cane. I'm not restructuring it. Besides, that warehouse district represents a piece of property that will give me what I want.
Avery: So maybe you think you can ignore that threatening phone call.
Dylan: Who says I'm ignoring it?
Avery: So, you're gonna do something on your own? Because that would be much worse.
Dylan: There's no reason to get the police involved in this.
Avery: I'm just trying -- I don't want you to end up in the hospital again or worse. Dylan, when I came in here and I saw you on the ground unconscious, my heart almost stopped.
Dylan: I promise not to put you through anything like that again.
Avery: This isn't a brick coming through the window now. People are threatening your life.
Dylan: Yeah, and I'm ready for them. If somebody tries something, I've got backup now.
Jill: Okay, there is still some insurance money left from the necklace. Katherine left two Bentleys in the garage I can sell. I can get an appraiser in for the antique furniture.
Colin: Look, I wasn't joking what I said before. Now, there's no need for you to go out and break the piggy bank or sell off parts of the old broad's estate. I can come up with the money for you to buy chancellor from Victor.
Jill: Darling, it is a huge amount.
Colin: What if it is?
Jill: I'm just assuming you're bluffing here.
Colin: I'm good for every penny of it.
Jill: Then it's something dodgy.
Colin: [Chuckles] Please.
Jill: Come on. You haven't told me where the money's coming from. It's millions of dollars, sweetie.
Colin: I saw an opportunity, and like any decent businessman, I took advantage of it. Nobody got robbed. Nobody got hurt.
Jill: Yet. Well, Kurtz wasn't acting alone. There are people behind him, you know.
Colin: Kurtz is where he's destined to be -- behind bars. But none of those people are involved. This is a legitimate businessman with no record, no ties to organized crime. Trust me.
Jill: [Smacks table] All right, Colin. I trust you.
Colin: Good. Sit back and let me give you your heart's desire.
Jill: [Chuckles] I love you. How long will it take to get the money?
Lily: What do you mean, you're taking off?
Neil: Well, baby, I have something very important that I have to attend to.
Lily: What? Tonight?
Neil: Yeah, right this very minute. You know, I'm headed to the spa to surprise my lovely wife.
Devon: Oh, man. [Sighs]
Hilary: I don't want this night to end.
Devon: It doesn't have to end. I, uh, I'm not needed back at home, so I can stay with you for this whole getaway.
Hilary: That sounds like heaven.
Devon: I don't know about you, but I've worked up an appetite. How does, um, Italian food sound?
Hilary: Hmm, perfect.
Devon: Yeah?
Hilary: And I'm starving. You want me to call room service?
Devon: No, no, I don't, actually. Why don't, um, why don't we go out somewhere together? We're far enough away from home. We don't have to worry about anybody seeing us.
Hilary: Seriously?
Devon: I know the perfect spot, too. It's close by. It's this private, little place over on superior. We can have wine and hold hands across a candlelit table.
Hilary: That sounds perfect.
Devon: Let's have a night out on the town, you and me. How long you gonna take to get ready?
Hilary: Five minutes.
Devon: Five minutes?
Hilary: Mm-hmm.
Devon: Okay, go. [Clears throat]
Avery: You bought a gun? This just proves my point, Dylan, that things are escalating too quickly.
Dylan: There's nothing to be concerned about, okay? First of all, it's legal. I know about firearms. I know how to protect myself. If those thugs come back again, they might have guns. This time, I'm gonna be ready.
Avery: And that's supposed to reassure me? Why would I not be concerned about the scenario, Dylan? No, I don't like this. I don't like this at all.
Dylan: [Sighs] What the hell.
Joe: Look, I'm not looking for trouble, all right? Just a coffee.
Avery: Joe, you're not welcome here. Dylan has told you that. He doesn't have to serve you.
Joe: Well, then maybe we can call it a truce.
Dylan: Not gonna happen.
[Cell phone rings]
Dylan: Hello?
Give it up already. Keep pushing your luck, your business won't be the only thing that'll get demolished.
Cane: I hear you're planning on taking a trip all of a sudden.
Neil: Yeah, it's Hilary's last night at the spa, so my daughter said that she'd give me a ride down there so I can join her.
Cane: Is she expecting you?
Lily: Well, it wouldn't be a romantic surprise if she were.
Neil: [Chuckles]
Lily: Remember the romantic surprises we used to have?
Cane: You know, Neil, I don't think it's probably such a great idea.
Neil: Really? Why -- why not?
Hilary: Where are you going?
Devon: I have to go back home.
Hilary: Why? What happened?
Devon: Business emergency came up that I have to take care of.
Hilary: I don't believe you.
Devon: I need you to believe me. And I promise I'm gonna make this up to you.
Hilary: Don't we have enough secrets to keep already? I don't want any between the two of us. Come on. I know something is going on. Just tell me.
Devon: When you were in the shower, I got this text from Colin.
Hilary: "Hide and go seek. My favorite game. Let's play, by all means"?
Devon: I'm guessing he's not big on being ignored.
Hilary: That snake. I knew this would happen. No matter what they agree to, blackmailers always come back for more.
Devon: Well, I'm gonna go and find out what he wants.
Hilary: You already know what he wants -- money. God, I can't keep doing this. Cane almost found out about us. Colin is trying to squeeze us. And lily is everywhere.
Devon: What are you saying? Do you want to end this?
Hilary: Want to? God, no. I hate being apart from you.
Devon: And you know I feel the same about you.
Hilary: But if we go and break Neil's heart and he starts drinking again...
Devon: That's why the only option is I go and take care of Colin.
Hilary: No. We both do. Call him.
Devon: [Sighs]
[Cell phone rings]
Colin: Oh, excuse me. Huh. There's my money man.
Jill: Ah.
Colin: I, uh, heard you were out of town on business. So nice of you to call me and get away from conducting your business.
Devon: What the hell do you want, Colin?
Colin: I assume Neil's lovely bride is with you. How are you two enjoying the spa? Hear it's top-notch.
Hilary: How did you know that we --
Devon: Who told you that?
Colin: Not hard to figure it out. Now, look, you get done with your mud baths and get back here with my money.
Hilary: Okay, listen, that was a one-time payoff. It's not happening again.
Devon: I told you that.
Colin: And I am telling you. I'm at the club. And I'm staring across the bar at Hilary's husband. You know, I think this news might just crush him.
Devon: Colin, you and I had a deal!
Colin: Yeah, we had a deal. It expired. Now it's time for a new one.
Kelly: Call the hospital if you don't believe me, Jake. I'll give them permission to talk to you about my case.
Phyllis: She's a case, all right.
Jack: How did this poisoning allegedly take place?
Kelly: Okay. I made the mistake of sitting down with Phyllis today at the club, thinking that we could talk like civil adults. I ordered us tea. Then I had to excuse myself from the table for a few minutes -- mistake number two. And that is when Phyllis slipped the poison into my cup.
Phyllis: Okay! You're crazy.
Kelly: Am I? Because a few minutes after you left, I collapsed in front of witnesses! Thank God my brother Ben was there or else I might not be here right now!
Phyllis: Oh. She's making this up, Jake. Did your brother, the ex-doctor, help you fake these test results? I think he's pretty familiar with this kind of deception.
Kelly: There is nothing fake about what I am saying. She tried to kill me, Jake!
Phyllis: Okay, you are a loony bitch!
Jack: Okay, okay, let's all --
Phyllis: No, she has just accused me of trying to kill her! You think I should just stand here and shut my mouth?!
Kelly: Well, since we all know that's not going to happen and clearly you're not gonna own up to what you did, here.
Jack: Wait, what -- what is that?
Kelly: This is what's left of the tea that I drank in the club. If you think that I am making this up, if you think that this is not poisoned, you go ahead, honey! You take a sip! I dare you!
Jack: No!
Kelly: Thank God, Jake. You believe me.
Jack: I am not taking sides. I am not accusing anyone.
Phyllis: Because it's very obvious what is happening. You poisoned yourself to set me up. Jack didn't want me to drink that stuff because you tainted it with your own two hands. Is that not right, Jake?
Kelly: No, no, no. The poisoning was absolutely real. But what was in this cup was just plain tea. I challenged you to drink it to prove a point.
Phyllis: That you belong in a straitjacket.
Jack: If you think this tactic is winning points with me, you are sadly mistaken.
Kelly: Tactics, Jake? I am taking the high road here!
Phyllis: That is a laugh.
Kelly: You should be thanking me, Phyllis. I had doctors, nurses, my own brother urging me to press charges. I could have gone to the police, but instead, I came here to make a personal appeal to you to stop the madness for Jack's sake! Trust me -- if I wanted revenge, they would be leading you out in handcuffs right now.
Cane: You know, Neil, you're talking about a long drive followed by a late night, and you have a big day tomorrow, you know?
Lily: You do?
Neil: I -- yeah, I actually do. Um, it's a meeting with a local business group about the warehouse project, so I can't miss that.
Lily: Okay, so we're not surprising Hilary, then?
Neil: No. Thanks for offering to drive me, though, baby. I really appreciate that. But Cane's right. I should stay here.
Lily: All right.
Cane: Yeah.
Lily: Uh, well, in that case, I am gonna go check on one of the rooms. I'll be right back.
Neil: Okay.
Cane: That was a good cover story, man. Well done.
Neil: No, it was not. It's actually the truth. Um, listen, you know as well as I do the biggest day of my life is tomorrow with that eye exam. I thought I could do both -- the warehouse project and that.
Cane: But you don't want to be tired for the exam. You know what I'm saying to you?
Neil: I've been thinking about telling Hilary about the flashes of light that I've been seeing, you know, and the fact that I might -- might have a chance of my eyesight coming back.
Cane: Okay, all right, but listen, you know, if you want to stick to your original plan, don't get Hilary's hopes up, you know, I would be more than happy to take you to your exam tomorrow.
Neil: I don't want to disappoint my wife, that's for sure. Yeah. Again, you're right. I'm gonna wait until my doctor gives me some definitive news before I say anything at all. Cane, you're a good man. I'm gonna go home. I'm gonna try to get a good night's sleep.
Cane: Okay, that's a good idea, you know? I'll walk you out.
Colin: As it turns out, Neil's not alone. Cane's with him. Lily's flitting around here somewhere, too. I wonder how she's gonna feel when she discovers that her brother's been sleeping with daddy's wife.
Hilary: How dare you pretend to care about other people's feelings when all you care about is money?
Colin: Let's make this easy for all concerned. Be at chancellor park in an hour with the money.
Devon: As you pointed out, Colin, I'm out of town.
Colin: Yeah, but you're the man that can snap his fingers and find a helicopter. Unless, of course, you want me to tell Neil that you are cavorting around that swanky spa with his wife -- on his dime. Save you the trouble of coming back here. Ever.
Devon: How much do you want?
Jill: If we liquidate all our investments and I sell what I can of Katherine's estate --
Cane: We don't even know if Victor's gonna sell chancellor. That is the problem here.
Lily: He could just be toying with you, Jill.
Jill: Yeah, well, we'll see about that.
Cane: I still think our best option is to stop this land deal from going through. If Victor loses this sale, he's gonna be strapped for cash, and he'll probably even lower the asking price.
Jill: Well, hallelujah. Finally see the light about this fiasco in the making, although I don't know if there's a way to thwart it that hasn't been tried yet.
Dylan: Your threats don't scare me.
Avery: Was that...?
Dylan: Yes.
Joe: Who was that?
Dylan: Somebody's been calling me, threatening me.
Joe: Well, I'm sorry to hear that. At least you know it's not me, being that I'm standing right in front of both of you.
Avery: Oh, please. You could have easily paid somebody to do it for you.
Joe: Where might I find goons like that for hire?
Dylan: I'm sure Victor knows plenty. This has his name all over it.
Joe: Well, I hope he's not resorting to this type of behavior. It's not the type of business my investors and I partake in.
Avery: Joe is behind that phone call. I can't believe you don't see it. He's playing us.
Dylan: No. I just played him.
Kelly: I sincerely hope that you won't ignore this, Jake. Something has to be done. I am worried about you.
Jack: Don't be.
Kelly: I know you had deep feelings for this woman at one point, but she is not the same person that she used to be.
Jack: How could you know that?
Kelly: This is not t the woman you fell in love with, is it?! An attempted murderess?
Phyllis: Okay, show's over. Thank you for coming in and auditioning for the role of "wacky woman makes baseless accusations." You nailed it.
Kelly: There's nothing baseless about what happened. Somebody put poison in my tea, and there were only two of us sitting at the table.
Phyllis: Well, there could be a third possibility -- that someone else wanted to rid the world of you. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who wants you gone.
Kelly: So you admit it. You want me dead.
Phyllis: Don't put words in my mouth.
Jack: Kelly, I've already asked you to leave once. The second time, I won't be so polite.
Kelly: Just be careful, Jake.
Phyllis: That was fun. Can I get you a drink? Perhaps some tea?
Cane: We don't even have the funds to buy chancellor, which drives me crazy 'cause I know we could do it a lot more justice than Victor is.
Lily: [Sighs] Hey, would you mind checking on that room with me? I could really use your input.
Cane: Sure. Let's go.
Jill: I'll see you later.
Cane: Bye.
Jill: Bye. Ah.
Colin: Hmm.
Jill: Okay, so what did your money man say? I assume that it's "no" since you had quite the lengthy conversation there.
Colin: I wish you had a little more faith in me. Now, look, this time around, I'm gonna be that good hubby you always wanted me to be.
Jill: Precious, as much as I love you, good has never been your major selling point.
Colin: Well, I can see that there was that one time...or two.
Jill: [Laughs]
Colin: Maybe a few more. But look, this time around, I'm gonna come through. Take it to the bank.
Jill: Mm-hmm.
Cane: Okay. There is no emergency, right?
Lily: [Chuckles] Well, you, my love, needed a break, so I took matters into my own hands. You call that a kiss? Really?
Cane: I'm sorry.
Lily: What's wrong? Is it chancellor? Something else? What?
Cane: You know I like to be in control, and this whole chancellor thing -- it just makes me feel powerless. I-I don't know what to say.
Lily: Well, then don't. Take charge with me. Right now. Tell me what to do.
Cane: Unbutton your blouse. Slow down. Slow down. Slow down. Take it off. Come here. Kiss me. Go to the bed. Sit on the bed.
Joe: [Blows air] You couldn't have timed that phone call any better.
McAvoy fall for it?
Joe: Yeah, big time. What we agreed on. You know what's next.
Dylan: I mean, it's obvious that Joe was behind everything. The brick through the window, the robbery, the continued threats.
Avery: What gave him away?
Dylan: His timing right now was way too convenient. He shows up right when I get the call so he looks innocent.
Avery: Well, I'm glad that you saw through that, and I think he's planning something else. What are you gonna do now?
Dylan: I'm gonna handle this once and for all, and your ex is not gonna see me coming.
Avery: Let Paul help you, please.
Dylan: Paul has to go through proper legal channels.
Avery: You don't?
Dylan: Look, I understand why you're concerned, but this dirtbag is after both of this, and this has gone way beyond business! It doesn't get much more personal, and I'm gonna put an end to it tonight!
Avery: No, you're not. It's too dangerous.
Dylan: Avery, I love you, but this has to be done! And I don't want you to be any part of it.
Lily: Ah, that was amazing.
Cane: Amazing.
Lily: [Chuckles] But next time, I get to be the boss.
Cane: You like being the boss?
Lily: Mm-hmm.
Cane: Okay, you can be the boss.
Lily: Okay.
Cane: Okay.
Lily: So, you feeling better now? Did I distract you?
Cane: Yes. I stopped thinking about chancellor. And now I see it from another angle.
Lily: Really?
Cane: Yeah. It made me realize no matter what happens with this redevelopment project, Victor can't be cornered.
Lily: No, he can't. He is Victor Newman. So he always has a plan.
Cane: So we have to come up with a better plan. And I think I have one.
Colin: Excellent. Right on time. You got the money?
Devon: Colin. I thought you were a man who protected your family.
Colin: Oh, I am. But what's that got to do with this?
Devon: It has to do with you and me because we are family. I'm the godfather to your grandkids. They call my dad grandpa. All right? So why do you want to be doing what you're doing and hurting Neil like this?
Colin: [Chuckles] Look who's talking.
Devon: Don't laugh at me. I'm serious. Because if you think they're not gonna blame the messenger, drop this bomb and see where that gets you. You'll never be allowed to set foot in Neil's or Cane and lily's house ever again. Think of all the holidays you're gonna miss with your grandkids because of your greed.
Colin: If you think that this is going to deter me --
Devon: All right, fine. Colin, you have pulled some pretty unforgivable crap in your day, and yet you've been welcomed back into the fold. Okay? You have your grandkids, you have your family, and you have your wife. You have all the things a man needs to be happy, and that's all I want. I want to be able to be with the person that makes me happiest, the woman that I love. Hilary and I have enough obstacles to get through without you pulling this, so I'm asking you if you can find it within yourself to drop this and leave us in peace.
[Jazz music playing]
Neil: "With... joy...
[Door opens]
Neil: ...And wonder. The...most..."
Hilary: Neil, I'm home!
Neil: Hey! Hey, honey.
Hilary: Hey.
Neil: I-I didn't expect you to be back so soon. I expected you tomorrow. Why -- why you home so early?
[Music stops]
Neil: Did you miss me?
Hilary: Yeah, of course I did.
Neil: Why don't you come over here? Sit by me. Talk to me. [Sighs]
Hilary: Okay.
Neil: Oh, it's good to have you back. So good. Yeah. You're not gonna -- you're not gonna believe this, but I actually was gonna come to the spa and surprise you.
Hilary: [Chuckles] Surprise me again? You really need to stop surprising me, Neil. I know how much you love me, okay?
Neil: Why don't I just show you how much I love you? Hilary.
Hilary: Hmm.
Neil: Let's take this in the bedroom. Can we?
Jack: Is that supposed to be funny? Offering me tea? If so, I'm not amused.
Phyllis: Well, neither am I. But, Jake, as much as I detest that woman, do you think I'm actually capable or murder?
Jack: Whatever happened, I don't think it's intentional. I don't think it's your fault.
Phyllis: Do you actually think I accidentally poisoned her?
Jack: I spoke to Dr. Cutler today.
Phyllis: [Sighs]
Jack: I pressed him for answers. He admitted that the treatment that you endured sometimes has negative consequences down the road. He has had other patients who have had distinct personality changes, questionable decision-making.
Phyllis: This isn't about other patients. This is about me.
Jack: Yes. You. Who just stood in front of Kelly and said you wanted her gone.
Phyllis: Do you really think I went to the club in some drug-induced, altered state and tried to poison -- I mean, are you serious right now, Jake? What the hell! You think that's my new motive? The devil made me do it?
Jack: Listen, red, I --
Phyllis: She is a desperate woman! She is deranged! And you are standing here pointing fingers at me! You don't think I'm the same woman you proposed to! Now I am some freaky psycho killer! And you are taking the word of some lunatic who wants to break us up over mine! Aah! [Breathing heavily]
Lily: Kelly?
Kelly: Hi.
Lily: Hey. Look at you. What happened?
Kelly: Not what. Who. Phyllis.
Lily: Oh, God. What'd she do this time?
Kelly: She put poison in my tea and tried to kill me.
Lily: What?
Kelly: I spent most of the day in the emergency room.
Lily: Oh, my God. Are you okay?
Kelly: I'm a little shaken up, but I'll survive.
Lily: You know what? She has gone way too far this time. I hope she's arrested and finally held accountable for once in her life.
Kelly: That's not gonna happen, not if I can help it. Lily, I'm not gonna go to the police.
Lily: Why not?
Kelly: I just think it'll be better this way. You know, cleaner. If Jake handles it privately.
Lily: Wait, are you thinking that you're gonna get him back after this?
Kelly: [Sighs]
Hilary: Hmm. Um... Neil.
Neil: Mm-hmm.
Hilary: Honey, um, I'm sorry.
Neil: What? What's wrong?
Hilary: You know, I'm just a little exhausted.
Neil: Oh, yeah, you're exhausted from all those pedicures and facials. I know. I know how that can wear you out.
Hilary: You know how I am with a strange bed. I-I didn't sleep at all last night, and...
Neil: Honey, stop. Stop explaining. I'm just teasing you, all right? Baby, I just want to be here with you. I just want to hold you, you know? I just want to be close to you. It means something that you missed me so much. And honestly, baby, I missed you even more.
Colin: What you fail to understand here, Devon, is that I'm on your side -- yours and Hilary's.
Devon: How do you figure that?
Colin: I kept your secret. I mean, there are others out there who might have said, you know, "well, tell Neil regardless of how painful that truth might be."
Devon: You've got to be a piece of work to think that blackmail is the right thing to do.
Colin: Let's take a poll. I mean, we've got that, all right? And then, well, we've got you cavorting around various luxury hotels with blind daddy's wife.
Devon: Colin, don't you think I hate being in the position I'm in? I would gladly give away all my money if I thought Neil would be protected.
Colin: Give it all away? Well, I like the sound of that.
Devon: You're ridiculous.
Colin: And you're a hypocrite. Look, it's not like I'm asking for all of it. It's just like a small portion in order to protect this secret about, well, the father you purport to love.
Devon: I do love my father.
Colin: Well, you got a funny way of showing it, kid. You're buying a license in order to be with Hilary.
Devon: What the hell does that mean?
Colin: Well, it means that you give me the money, and then you look at yourself in the mirror, and you say, "hey, I'm not such a bad guy compared to what that son of a bitch Colin has done." And then all the guilt, well, it just -- it just falls away, and you can do whatever you like. I mean, how does that sound?
Devon: It sounds like blackmail.
Colin: Whatever. I still want the money.
[Knock on door]
Avery: This has gone far enough.
Joe: What do you mean?
Avery: Threatening Dylan, trying to intimidate him -- it's enough!
Joe: As I told you, I had nothing to do with that.
Avery: Joe, you're lying.
Joe: Avery --
Avery: We're gonna settle this right now or someone's gonna get killed.
Phyllis: It's true. I have issues. Self-control has always been at the top of the list. But this, Jake, I mean, really? Do you think this time might be different?
Jack: I would give anything in the world to be wrong about this.
Phyllis: The drugs they gave me in the coma... is that why I'm so angry and not trusting? Look -- look what I did just now. [Voice breaking] I broke the vase. It's -- it's just like it wasn't even me just now. You know, am I losing my grip? I don't know. Is -- is -- could I have snapped and poisoned Kelly and not remember? Is that actually possible?
Jack: Whatever we find out, I am going to be at your side now and always. I promise you that. But, honey, you need help.
Lily: Look, even if Jake sees how disturbed Phyllis is, it doesn't mean that he's gonna get back together with you.
Kelly: The only thing that matters right now, lily, is getting him away from her, okay? Phyllis is mentally unbalanced. She proved that again today. As for what happens after that... we'll see.
Hilary: [Sniffles]
Neil: Sad part of your book?
Hilary: No, I put it down.
Neil: What's wrong? Are you crying?
Hilary: No. No, I'm fine. I'm okay. I'm just gonna [Sniffles] Get some tea. Would you like some? Hmm?
Neil: Yeah, sure. I'll -- I'll take some.
Hilary: Okay. [Sniffles]
Cane: Just the man I wanted to see.
Devon: Why? What's going on?
Cane: I hope your abrupt departure out of town had nothing to do with Hilary, 'cause Neil almost paid you a visit tonight.
Devon: So what?
Cane: "So what?" What? You don't remember the last time you and Hilary went to New York and Neil almost walked in on you guys? You don't remember that? You see, that's not gonna happen anymore, is it? Because you're no longer having an affair with his wife. And you're with Gwen now, right?
Devon: Right.
Cane: Right.
Lily: Hey.
Cane: Hey, baby.
Lily: Judging by the look on Devon's face, I'm guessing you sprang the big question on him.
Cane: Uh...
Lily: So, you in? You gonna give us money to buy chancellor?
Cane: Actually, I haven't pitched him that idea yet.
Lily: Oh. Uh, well, now that you know, you're gonna do it, right?
Devon: No. I can't right now 'cause my money's tied up.
Cane: Wait, wait, wait. Hang on a second. All your money is tied up?
Lily: How is that even possible?
Devon: It's just, um, just the way it is right now. I'm sorry, guys.
Jill: What is the big surprise you had to drag us away from our table?
Colin: Trust me. This is gonna be something you'll want to celebrate.
Jill: What did you do?
Colin: Behold. Chancellor industries on a silver platter, special delivery.
Jill: [Sighs]
Avery: This ends right now, Joe.
Joe: Look, why don't you listen to your fiancé? He believes I'm innocent.
Avery: The hell he does.
Joe: Look, if you're worried about Dylan getting hurt --
Avery: I'm worried about you, Joe! Dylan is ready to kill you!
Joe: Well, I'll consider myself warned. Would you care for some wine? I just opened a bottle.
Avery: Okay, what's it gonna take? Seriously, there's got to be a way to work out something where no one gets hurt. What do you want?
Joe: You know exactly what I want.
Avery: Me? Even though I despise you?
Joe: Well, that won't last for long.
Avery: I don't understand you at all. You can't have me, Joe. Do you understand that? My heart is completely and utterly with Dylan!
Joe: And that doesn't mean you can't spend one night with me.
Avery: [Gasps]
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Chelsea: Gabriel stopped by my studio.
Billy: What is it with that guy constantly dropping in on you?
Sharon: I betrayed you horribly. Do you think maybe you can find a way to get over it?
Nick: We're going to trial.
Joe: You can't control what she does!
Avery: Joe, don't antagonize him! He has a gun!
