Episode # 10561 ~ Victoria & Billy reach a new understanding; Dylan & Avery make a shocking discovery; Ashley clears the air with Stitch.

Provided By Suzanne

Adam: I can't talk right now, Sage. I don't have time.

Sage: Well, you need to make time. Constance is sick.

Adam: She's an old lady. They get sick. That's what they do.

Sage: She could be dying, Adam. She's asking for her grandson. Do you hear me?!

Adam: Okay. All right. I'm on the way.

Adam: Cute baby.

Victoria: Thanks.

Billy: Vick.

Victoria: I need your help.

Nick: Faith?! Faith!

Sharon: Faith? Faith, are you in here?

Nick: She's not up there.

Sharon: I saw the light on. I thought maybe...

Nick: Yeah, me, too.

Sharon: I must have left it on. God, Nick. Where is she?

Nick: We're gonna find her, all right? We just got to stay positive.

Sharon: You're right. You're right. She's okay. She's gonna come home...safe.

Avery: Are you sure this is Faith's bike?

Dylan: Yeah. I saw her riding it at the ranch. Nikki and Victor gave it to her for her birthday.

Avery: Okay, the bike's here. Faith's not.

Dylan: Something's not right.

Avery: Yeah. I'm gonna call Nick. I'll call the staff -- see if anybody's seen her.

Dylan: Avery. You okay? What are you doing here?

Faith: I had to get away from him.

Dylan: From who?

Faith: My dad.

Nick: I'm at Sharon's. No, dad. Faith is not here, so please call me if you hear anything. Okay. All right. I'm going back out.

[Cell phone rings]

Sharon: Hello?

Dylan: Sharon, it's Dylan. Faith's here at the coffeehouse.

Sharon: Oh, thank God! She's with Dylan.

Nick: Okay. I'll call Paul and let him know.

Sharon: Dylan, we're on our way.

Stitch: I was hoping adjusting these middle notes would give us the scent we're looking for.

Ashley: It takes time to perfect a fragrance.

Stitch: It's frustrating -- all the hours we put in and nothing to show for it.

Ashley: That's not true. I'll work a little bit longer on it after you leave and see if I can make some headway.

Stitch: You know, you practically live here lately.

Ashley: Well, when you feel passionately about something, you don't mind putting in late nights.

Ashley: Well, then, you leave me no choice.

Stitch: Ohh! Ohh! Okay. That is -- that is freezing.

Ashley: It's okay. It's gonna warm up. I promise.

Stitch: Yeah?

Ashley: Yeah.

Stitch: Yeah, you're right.

Ashley: Aah! Oh, no! No!

Stitch: It's getting warmer already.

Ashley: This isn't exactly what I had in mind.

Stitch: I'll send you my latest calculations.

Ashley: We can't keep doing this. This is just ridiculous. We're acting like everything is normal between us.

Victor: Of course! I'm very relieved Faith has been found! Are you kidding? And Nicholas will be happy that you're telling everyone about it. It's an enormous relief. Uh, sweetheart, I'm about to go into a meeting, so I will see you soon, okay? I'm very happy to hear this. Okay. You'd better have a good reason to ask me to come out here.

Tobias: I do.

Victor: So, what is Ashley developing in the lab?

Cane: Well, you didn't exactly expect them to lay down, roll over, and die, did you?

Joe: Well, I thought my charm would at least win them all over.

Cane: Well, you've already won over some of Genoa City's biggest movers and shakers, so you should be expecting a lot more people to come to your little cocktail party. Hello.

Colin: I-I-I-I hope that I'm on the list.

Jill: Without a plus-one.

Joe: You know, I'm surprised an intelligent, forward-thinking woman such as yourself is not on the right side of progress, Jill.

Jill: Oh, I don't like what we're progressing to.

Cane: Well, maybe you should come to the cocktail party and see what he's proposing.

Jill: I already know everything I need to know, honey. I'm not gonna change my mind. Besides, I like a good fight.

Joe: Even one you know that you can't win?

Jill: You're as confident as you are suave, aren't you? Almost like you know something the rest of us don't.

Dylan: You want to tell me what happened?

Faith: Everything was perfect. We were finally gonna be a family again. Then daddy ruined it.

Dylan: Because he called the wedding off?

Faith: Mommy's so sad. She pretends she isn't, but I can tell.

Dylan: I know this is hard, but sometimes adult relationships can be really complicated.

Faith: But if daddy would just talk to mommy --

Dylan: Is that why you ran away -- so your mom and dad would talk?

Sharon: Faith, oh, my God. You're okay. Baby, let me look at you.

Nick: Sweetheart, you should not have taken off like that. We've been worried sick.

Sharon: You know what? Let's -- let's get you home, and we'll talk about it there.

Avery: Here's her coat.

Sharon: Thank you so much, Avery.

Dylan: Her bike's right here.

Nick: Thanks for calling.

Dylan: Yeah. I'm just -- you know, I'm worried about Faith and how she's handling all this.

Nick: The breakup's been hard on her. I'm glad she feels like she can trust you. She's gonna need all the support she can get.

Dylan: How 'bout you? How you doing?

Nick: Well, you don't have kids, but if you do, you'll understand. When they're in pain, it kills you.

Victor: What's on the damn thing?

Tobias: Photographs. They're Dr. Russell's files.

Victor: You still haven't told me what Ashley is working on.

Tobias: If you analyze the formulas on the files, you might find what you're looking for.

Victor: What do you mean, "might"?

Tobias: I know you wanted definitive answers by the end of the year, but I am doing the best that I can.

Victor: That may not be good enough. You have her confide in you.

Tobias: That's... not gonna be easy.

Victor: I don't give a damn if it's easy. Nothing in life is easy, okay? Just do it.

Ashley: I know we decided to just forget about the whole shower experience and, uh, not let it affect our professional relationship.

Stitch: It's not working, is it?

Ashley: It's not working, no.

Stitch: Look, you know, it's just -- it does feel weird, you know, sleeping with you and then telling you that Victoria and I are back together.

Ashley: Look, it was a one-night thing, okay? You don't owe me anything. Do you understand? I don't expect anything from you.

Stitch: But you deserve more than that, Ashley. It's just -- yeah.

Ashley: I appreciate that. We're adults. I understand that relationships can be messy. Life is a little complicated at times.

Stitch: Okay. Well, what can I do to uncomplicate things?

Ashley: How 'bout if we both just hit the "reset" button and go back to being friends and colleagues? Can we do that?

Stitch: That sounds good.

Abby: Hi.

Ashley: Hey!

Abby: Good news -- I just got a text from Noah. They found Faith.

Ashley: What happened?

Abby: She ran away. But, hey, who wouldn't? With Sharon as her mother -- yeah, she probably couldn't stand being around her another minute.

Ashley: I'm sure there's more to it than that. Please.

Ashley: Whatever. She is back, and hopefully with Nick.

Stitch: Well, I'm glad she's all right.

Abby: Yeah. I was planning on spending the whole night looking for her, which I totally would have, but now I can put this to good use.

Both: Whoa!

Stitch: Yeah, I'm not sure there's any good use for that. Mnh.

Abby: Come on! Somebody has got to be the life of the office Christmas party! Come on! Let's go! We're missing all the fun. You know what happens when the suits and the lab coats mix it up. Okay, what's going on with you two?

Stitch: Uh...

Victoria: Bye, mom. So, Dylan found Faith at the coffeehouse. She's home safe and sound.

Billy: A happy ending. That's good.

Victoria: Yeah.

Billy: And the little angel slept through the whole thing.

Victoria: Good. Well, thanks for offering to watch her for me while I looked for Faith. I appreciate that.

Billy: Yeah, of course. I'm glad you came to me.

Victoria: Listen, while I'm here, I wanted to run some dates past you for the christening.

Billy: Sure.

Victoria: Okay. Do you want to ask Chelsea to join us? I mean, this sort of affects her, too.

Billy: Oh, I appreciate it, but she's -- she's taking a shower, so...

Victoria: [Chuckles softly] It's kind of amazing, isn't it? Not that long ago, the thought of you and Chelsea and me and Ben at our daughter's christening seemed kind of impossible, I guess.

Billy: Katie has managed to heal a lot of wounds.

Victoria: Yeah. Anyway, about the christening --

Billy: Hey, any date you pick will be just fine with me.

Victoria: Okay.

Billy: Something else?

Victoria: Yes. I'd like to make something official -- her name.

Billy: Katherine rose?

Victoria: Katherine Rose Newman.

Joe: Well, you're right, Jill. I do know something that you don't, and that "something" will ensure this project's success.

Jill: A list of greedy investors with very deep pockets?

Joe: Me. I've never backed a losing venture, and this warehouse-development deal won't be the first.

Jill: Usually this kind of confidence I find very attractive in a man.

Colin: Hey, I'm proof of that.

[Laughter]

Colin: But in this case, it only intensifies my desire to ruin that perfect record you love to brag about.

Joe: You know, I admire women with fire.

Colin: I'd be careful if I were you. One sideways glance, you could be reduced to a pile of ash.

Jill: Yeah? I'll reduce you to a pile of ash if you continue to side with your cronies on this.

Cane: Well, isn't this gonna be a fun family Christmas, huh?

Jill: The three of you guys just don't get it, do you? A city is a living, breathing thing. You cannot continue to chip away at the heart of it, or eventually, you'll have nothing left. Now, the people who were born here, like, me -- we're gonna do everything we can to keep that from happening. We are gonna fight like hell to protect the city that we love.

Joe: Well, I'm surprised a shrewd businesswoman like you is so sentimental.

Cane: Trust me, don't let Jill's soft heart fool you. Excuse me.

Jill: [Chuckles]

Colin: Cane's right. I mean, my wife and I might disagree on this matter, but I wouldn't underestimate her -- well, if I were you.

Joe: Well, I won't do that. But I am curious about one thing -- how is it an astute, cunning businesswoman such as yourself lost control of Chancellor Industries?

Jill: Ah. There's the reason sitting right over there.

Cane: Excuse me, Mr. Newman. Is Nikki joining you?

Victor: No, she's not, but I'm waiting for someone, so...

Cane: Thank you. Let me get you a drink while you wait. Can you get Mr. Newman a tequila, please? Thank you. [Sighs] So... have you decided yet if you're gonna come and join us at our cocktail party to promote the warehouse-development project?

Victor: I'll be there.

Cane: That is great. My buddy Joe is gonna be happy to hear that, 'cause he was wondering if he could maybe use your name to help --

Victor: Absolutely not. Whatever your buddy's name is, he'll have to use someone else to do that.

Sage: She tried to get out of her wheelchair on her own. She took a bad spill. She's already weak. I think the trauma from the fall is putting a lot of strain on her heart.

Adam: Sage, you got to take her to the hospital.

Sage: She doesn't want to go to the hospital. She wants to die here.

Adam: [Sighs] You love her. I get it.

Sage: You have no idea.

Adam: I may not have the history with her that you do, but I have come to care about her.

Sage: All right. Then give her what she wants. Give her her grandson's love.

Adam: Okay. Uh, grandmother, it's -- it's me -- Gabriel.

Constance: Gabriel?

Adam: Yeah. Yeah. I'm here.

Constance: I have to tell you something.

Adam: No, you don't -- you don't have to say anything right now.

Constance: I've kept it from you too long.

Adam: Just rest right now, okay?

Constance: You need to know, Gabriel. It's about your father.

Sharon: All right, young lady. Sit. We need to get a few things straight. Your dad and I are grateful and relieved that you're okay, but you are never, ever to run off like that again. Is that understood?

Faith: Yes.

Sharon: If you are angry or confused, you come and talk to one of us.

Faith: I did talk to daddy. If he'd just tried to make up with you like I asked, I wouldn't have run away.

Sharon: Well, that's still no excuse for what you did. And that's not fair to your dad. This breakup is hard on all of us, including him.

Faith: Then why can't you change his mind?

Nick: Okay. [Sighs] Look, sweetheart, I know... I know you're hurting. And I'm sorry that this is the way things are. The important thing is that this doesn't change at all how your mother and I feel about you. We both love you so much. And we're gonna do everything we can to make this new arrangement work out for you.

Faith: You promised we were gonna be a real family again, and that was a lie.

Sharon: Faith...

Faith: This is gonna be the worst Christmas ever, and it's all his fault!

Sharon: We can't go on like this.

Nick: [Sighs]

Ashley: Abby, there's nothing going on.

Abby: Well, then, why did you have such a weird reaction when I mentioned going to the office Christmas party?

Ashley: I don't know -- maybe because neither one of us intends on going.

Stitch: Yeah. I was on my way to Victoria's.

Abby: Of course you were. And what's your excuse?

Ashley: I think my time is better spent here, sweetie.

Abby: Mom, you seriously need to get a life. You're spending way too much time with these test tubes and boring chemistry geeks.

Stitch: She hasn't even started drinking yet.

Abby: [Chuckle sarcastically] Weren't you leaving?

Stitch: Heh. Have a nice Christmas.

Ashley: Thank you. You, too. And thanks for all your hard work.

Stitch: You're welcome. Hey, Abby, lay off the egg nog.

Abby: Oh, says the guy who got so drunk last week, he had to spend the night on the couch here.

Ashley: Stop.

Abby: Merry Christmas!

Abby: Something's off with you two.

Ashley: Tobias. What are you doing here?

Abby: Yeah. I thought everyone was supposed to be at the office Christmas party.

Tobias: I came by to see if there was anything you needed me to work on -- maybe some analysis of Dr. Russell's latest samples.

Ashley: That is so sweet. No. You've been working so hard. Please go to the party. Enjoy yourself.

Tobias: If you're sure. I --

Ashley: I really appreciate your dedication. In fact, I've been meaning to tell you that after Christmas, I'm gonna give you even more responsibility here in the lab.

Tobias: Thanks! That means a lot.

Ashley: Yeah. You just keep on doing what you're doing. You're gonna get exactly what you deserve.

Billy: So, you just decided on your own to name our daughter Katie Newman? You don't want her to have my name?

Victoria: Billy, just try to understand.

Billy: I don't. I don't understand. How could you do this?

Victoria: Because for once, I've thought of hers as mine.

Billy: And now you know that she is ours.

Victoria: She's gonna be living with me -- okay? -- Going to work with me. I'm reopening the nursery so that I can be near her. And, honestly, Billy, you and I are not together anymore.

Billy: Vick, I'm her father, just like Johnny is mine, and he has my last name, and Katie's gonna be spending just as much time with me as he does.

Victoria: I am not gonna try to cut you off from your daughter.

Billy: Wait. Wait. You're just doing this to get back at me, aren't you? I hurt you, and now you want to hurt me, and what better way, right?

Victoria: No.

Billy: Come on, Vick. Admit it. You're still angry at me for blowing up our marriage, our family. You want to make a point, and what better way than to refuse to give my daughter my name?

Victoria: You're right. It's not fair to you.

Billy: So, what -- you'll give her my name?

Victoria: What do you think about the name... Katherine rose Abbott-Newman?

Billy: I guess I can live with it.

Victoria: Good. So, Katie Abbott-Newman it is. [Chuckles] I have to get going, but I'll let you know about the dates for the christening, okay?

Billy: Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I'll, uh -- I'll bring by Christmas presents later.

Victoria: Oh, thanks. Are you sure you're okay with the name?

Billy: I guess I have to be.

Victoria: Thank you.

Billy: Yeah.

Victoria: Bye.

Billy: Bye. [Sighs]

Sharon: I hate that this is happening during the holidays.

Nick: I'm doing everything I can to make this a happy Christmas for Faith.

Sharon: The only thing that's going to make her happy is if her parents get back together.

Nick: We both know that is not gonna happen.

Sharon: Yes, we do. But Faith is a little girl. She still believes that Santa can make miracles happen.

Nick: Well, I hope you're not giving her false hope.

Sharon: What are you talking about? How could you even suggest I'd do that?

Nick: What are you trying to say?

Sharon: Nick, you made her a promise that we would be a family, and maybe it's my fault that you couldn't keep that promise, or maybe you shouldn't have even made it in the first place. But the point is she's trying to tell us something. If we can't be a family... can we at least not fight?

Nick: If you're trying to get me to drop the custody suit, forget it.

Sharon: Even after what happened today, you wouldn't consider it?

Nick: I am not gonna let Faith's behavior stop me from doing what is best for her.

Sharon: Maybe what's best for her is that we not get into a tug-of-war over her.

Nick: Well, maybe we just need to work harder to get her to accept the reality of the situation.

Avery: Well, I'm sure Nick and Sharon are just relieved. It must be terrifying to think you've lost your child.

Dylan: Sharon's still facing that possibility.

Avery: You mean if Nick gets sole custody of Faith?

Dylan: I know he said that's best, but I'm not sure. I mean, look how it's affected Faith already. Man. You know, being a parent seems terrifying and awesome, all at the same time.

Avery: Yeah, kind of like jumping out of a plane.

Dylan: Yeah, like without a parachute.

Avery: Do you ever think about what we would have been like as parents if our baby had lived?

Dylan: For a long time, I tried not to. You know, it was too hard wondering what might have been.

Avery: What about now?

Dylan: We would have been great parents, and our kid -- our kid would have been amazing.

[Cell phone chimes]

Avery: Oh, no. It's bad news.

Dylan: What is it?

Avery: The application I filed to have the warehouse district designated as a historical landmark has been denied.

Dylan: Come on! Are you serious?! Landmark status was our one surefire way of saving these buildings from demolition.

Avery: It's definitely a setback. But, look, it's not -- it's not a guarantee that the redevelopment project will move forward.

Dylan: How are we gonna stop them now?

Avery: The buyer still has to get city permits to do whatever construction he's planning. That gives us time to come up with another strategy.

Dylan: You said it yourself -- this is our best shot.

Avery: It's not our only shot.

Dylan: Well, first the mayor cancels -- now this happens?

Avery: It's a couple of roadblocks.

Dylan: Avery, you don't believe that. You're thinking the same thing I am -- that somebody with a lot of power is getting to all the people who can help us.

Joe: Well, you're still upset that Victor Newman was given control of Chancellor --

Jill: Given control? Please. He stole it.

Joe: Interesting, because I read that Katherine Chancellor bequeathed her company to Mr. Newman in her will.

Jill: He conned a little old lady out of her company.

Joe: Or maybe it was that she felt that he was better suited to continue her legacy.

Colin: Look, let's agree to disagree on this one and get back to a much more interesting subject -- your redevelopment project.

Joe: What about it?

Colin: Well, I've recently come in to a spot of cash that I'm looking to invest in a potentially profitable enterprise, like yours.

Joe: Well, you know, we're always looking for additional funding to possibly close a deal, but if we need that, I'll be in touch. If you would, excuse me, please.

Jill: Mm-hmm.

Colin: What?

Jill: Don't "what" me. You wouldn't have two dimes to rub together if I hadn't prevented you from paying off that slimeball Kurtz.

Colin: Something which I am eternally grateful for.

Jill: Really? And this is how you show your gratitude -- by backing something you know I'm opposed to?

Joe: I'm sorry to interrupt. I just wanted to say hello.

Victor: And you are?

Cane: Uh, Victor, this is my friend Joe Clark. Joe is representing the investors in the warehouse-redevelopment project. Victor said he will be attending the cocktail party.

Joe: Well, that's great to hear.

Victor: But I will not be used to draw in other investors, all right?

Joe: Well, I appreciate your candor. You could understand why I had to try -- a man of your reputation.

Victor: I'll be at the gathering. You have a nice day.

Joe: It was good to see you. Cane.

Cane: Joe.

Victor: Just a friend?

Cane: Former business acquaintance.

Victor: He's your conduit back to the corporate world?

Cane: That would be if I wanted to come back to the corporate world, but I've already told you I'm very happy where I am.

Victor: Well, you must be aware of what's going on in the business world.

Cane: I read the financial page. Always tracked what's happened to, uh, Chancellor over at Newman-Chancellor. Why wouldn't I? It was Katherine's company. I care about that.

Victor: So, you must have an opinion of how things are going.

Cane: Are you referring to, uh, how you have not rebounded after the Bonaventure debacle? Is that it?

Victor: One day I'll find out who was behind that. It was quite a setback.

Cane: Yes, it was. Between the SEC. Fines, the lawsuit, and the recall costs, it was probably very expensive for you.

Victor: Well... just so you know, I have things in the pipeline that will more than make up for the losses that we incurred.

Constance: Gabriel...

Adam: I'm here.

Constance: ...You have to know.

Adam: About my father? What is it?

Constance: He built all this by himself.

Adam: With his software empire, right?

Constance: He did it for you, Gabriel. He loved you.

Adam: And I loved him, too.

Constance: Everything he worked so hard for was stolen from him.

Adam: Uh, yeah. The hostile takeover of his company -- yeah, I remember.

Constance: Losing it was too much for him.

Adam: Grandmother, I know you think his heart attack was a result --

Constance: It wasn't a heart attack.

Adam: Okay. I was told that it was a heart attack.

Constance: Your father... committed suicide.

Adam: Why didn't you, uh -- why didn't you ever tell me that?

Constance: 'Cause I wanted to protect you. And now my time is -- now my time is running out, and I...

Adam: Don't talk like that.

Constance: ...Want you to know who was responsible for the death of your father.

Adam: Let's not talk about that right now, okay?

Constance: His company was taken over by Newman enterprises. Victor Newman... killed your father.

Sharon: Your father and I understand that you're disappointed that things didn't turn out the way we all thought they would.

Faith: Now we have to be the kind of family who lives apart again.

Sharon: I know that's not what you want. But you still have two parents who love you more than anything in the world. And you get to have two amazing Christmases.

Nick: With lots of presents and lots of love.

Sharon: Okay?

Nick: Kiddo, I know you have friends whose parents don't live together.

Faith: But they don't love each other like you and mommy do. If you guys could just get back together, I promise I will never ask for anything ever again.

Nick: I'm sorry. We can't give that to you.

Sharon: It'll be okay.

Faith: No, it won't!

Nick: [Sighs]

Stitch: Delivery from the north pole.

Victoria: Wow! I had no idea there was a Fenmore's at the north pole.

Stitch: Well, maybe. I just wanted to get a few gifts for some of my favorite kids.

Victoria: A few gifts?

Stitch: Yeah.

Victoria: [Chuckles]

Stitch: Okay. I confess. Maybe I was trying to impress their mom.

Victoria: Yeah.

[Both laugh]

Victoria: There's no need for that, and I thought you were coming over on Christmas.

Stitch: Oh. I-I mean, I didn't want to presume.

Victoria: No. I mean, don't be silly. I want you to come by, if you want to come over.

Stitch: I'd love to. I haven't had a real Christmas since the last one I had with Jenna and max.

Victoria: You said you were gonna call her and let her know what really happened.

Stitch: Yeah. I-I tried. She's -- she's not taking my calls.

Victoria: I don't understand. I thought that you were video-chatting with max.

Stitch: I think all the questions from Billy and Chelsea made her afraid that the truth was gonna come out, so I can't -- I can't blame her for trying to protect max, you know? She'll get in touch with me eventually. I just hope that Jenna at least is giving max all the gifts I sent him.

Victoria: I'm sorry. You don't deserve to be cut off from your son, especially this time of year.

Stitch: Hey... I got you, and I am so grateful for that.

Victoria: Come here. You know what? I'm gonna make sure you have a really happy Christmas.

Ashley: You can't be completely shocked that Victoria wants Katie to have the Newman last name.

Billy: I can and I am, and I'm pretty ticked about it.

Abby: I'm sure you could hire a high-powered attorney to fight it if you wanted.

Billy: I don't want to fight with Victoria over this. Katie's my daughter. She should have my name.

Abby: You said Victoria agreed to add "Abbott" to her name, right?

Billy: And "Newman" still comes after it. It just feels so Victor-like, like he's gotten inside her head and turned her against me.

Ashley: I kind of think that you're jumping to conclusions here.

Billy: The guy has opened up a nursery at Newman-Chancellor. The next thing you know, he's gonna move her into the ranch and start filling her full of ideas about her worthless father.

Ashley: Billy...

Billy: What?

Ashley: ...Victoria is not gonna let Victor poison Katie's mind against you.

Billy: So, you think he's gonna be okay with her being half Newman?

Abby: Yeah. I mean, he was with me.

Billy: Well, that's because Ashley raised you away from Victor. My daughter is going to be under his constant influence.

Ashley: I think you're gonna have to trust Victoria on this.

Abby: Yeah, and stop imagining a war when my dad hasn't even launched an attack.

Billy: Give it time.

Abby: You know what? I am so glad that you came here to come to the office party with me. Blow off some steam, all right? Forget all about it.

Billy: I appreciate it, Abby, but I'm just not feeling it.

Abby: Oh, my gosh. Does anybody around here believe in having fun, or is it all up to me?

Ashley: Go have fun for all of us.

Abby: Remember, you said that.

Ashley: Uh-oh. Don't make me sorry.

Abby: Pbbt!

Billy: I think that's a safe bet.

Ashley: Do you want to tell me the truth now?

Billy: About what?

Ashley: About why this name thing really bothers you so much? Please don't try to tell me that it has anything to do with Victor.

Nick: I'm doing what I think is best for Faith.

Sharon: I know. I don't agree with you, but I believe you.

Nick: I wish things could be different.

Sharon: I thought we were finally gonna be able to put all the pieces back together. Just because things didn't work out doesn't mean that we can't make this a wonderful Christmas for Faith.

Nick: We will.

Ashley: Do you want me to tell you what I think?

Billy: Like I could stop you.

Ashley: You're upset that Victoria wants Katie to have the last name Newman 'cause you think that what she's actually saying to you is that it's over once and for all for the two of you.

Billy: It's scary how well you know me.

Ashley: Sorry.

Billy: You know, sometimes I think back to right before Dee Dee... [Sighs] My life was on this trajectory of happiness -- you know, good times -- and then, boom, it all got blown off track, and, uh... no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get it back.

Ashley: Until now.

Billy: Yeah, Katie's brought all this joy back into our lives.

Ashley: Isn't there any way that she can help put you and Victoria back on the path you were on before?

Billy: Vick and I are just friends now. I mean, we're -- we're...co-parents. [Sighs] I can't get it back.

Ashley: Are you sure?

Billy: I'm with Chelsea now. And we're happy.

Stitch: Are you sure you don't want me to go grab us something from the burger beat?

Victoria: Uh, no. As tempting as that sounds, I have a few last-minute Christmas details to take care of.

Stitch: Yeah? I guess I can handle that since we're gonna be together on Christmas.

Victoria: And I'm really looking forward to that.

Stitch: When I think about how close I came to losing you...

Victoria: What?! Oh, come on. That's behind us now, okay? Okay?

Stitch: Okay. You sure you want me to leave?

Victoria: Yes. I need you to go. I won't be able to get your gift.

Stitch: Ooh! Ooh! Can I get a hint?

Victoria: Uh, no.

Stitch: Has it got a big engine, four wheels, huh?

Victoria: Some diamonds.

Stitch: Really?

Victoria: You better get me something great. Get out!

Stitch: Let me give you something. Come here. Come here.

Victoria: Bye. Go!

Victoria: Hi. This is Victoria Newman. I know you probably were not expecting to hear from me. But I need to speak to you. It's about Christmas.

Colin: You stand for the fine people of Genoa City who want to preserve history and the beautification of this lovely town. Me? Well, I'm one of the carpet-bagging bastards who wants to make millions of dollars through progress and redevelopment. You make us -- you make us look good. Me? I-I make us money.

Cane: Oh. Sorry about that. So, can I get you guys a table?

Jill: What was that little powwow with Victor?

Cane: Little powwow?

Jill: Hmm.

Cane: Oh. Uh, Victor said he would come to Joe's cocktail party.

Jill: It's not bad enough that he's destroying Katherine's legacy. Now he's determined to tear away the fabric of our city.

Colin: Look, you can't do anything about Victor's involvement with Joe Clark. What I don't understand is how you two could let him take Chancellor Industries.

Cane: We didn't let him take Chancellor Industries. Katherine gave it to him in her will. And there's nothing we can do about it.

Jill: Maybe. Maybe not.

Avery: You're right -- someone is pulling out all the stops to make sure this development deal goes through.

Dylan: Yeah, somebody who stands to again a lot of money from all this property.

Avery: Well, whoever it is, they must be pretty powerful to have the mayor and the landmark commission on their side.

Dylan: We've got a bigger battle on our hands than we thought.

Victor: So, what's the word?

Joe: Everything's going according to plan.

Adam: Grandmother, are you saying my father killed himself over a business deal with Victor Newman?

Constance: [Chuckles] He didn't care what destroying my son would do.

Adam: Well, I don't doubt that. From what I've heard, Newman would destroy his own son if it meant he got what he wanted.

Constance: Promise me you'll make him pay for what he did to your father.

Adam: I promise you... Victor Newman will suffer for everything he's done.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Mariah: What's going on?

Kevin: Just get over to the police station right away. I need your help.

Dylan: I brought you something. It's a Christmas present.

Sharon: Victor.
