Episode # 10540 ~ Victoria makes a life-changing decision; Jill takes matters into her own hands; Nick fights temptation.
Provided By Suzanne
[Door opens]
Nick: The bar's closed. What are you doing here?
Grace: I could lie and say I was in the neighborhood. But the truth is... I'm here for you.
Hilary: Hey. I got here as soon as I could. Traffic was insane.
Lily: No. I mean, I just thought that you stood me up, and then I was thinking, "well, I know exactly why she did."
Hilary: I'm sorry. I don't follow.
Lily: Well, I mean, I basically chased you out the last time we had lunch, suggesting that you were pregnant.
Hilary: Oh, that.
Lily: I'm really sorry if I made you uncomfortable.
Hilary: No, it wasn't you. It was the really bumpy plane ride. Don't worry.
Lily: Well, anyway, now I'm clear on everything. I know you're not pregnant, although if my dad had it his way...
Hilary: Um...how 'bout we just order?
Lily: [Chuckles] I'm sorry. I just -- I really want everyone in my family to be happy. And, speaking of which, there's something I want to talk to you about. It has to do with Devon.
Devon: [Clears throat]
Colin: Hmm. That's a lovely briefcase. What is it -- dyed cowskin?
Devon: I don't know what the hell it's made out of, but whatever it is, it's yours -- and everything in it.
Colin: Do I need to count it?
Devon: Do you really think I'd short you with what's at stake?
Colin: Pleasure doing business with you.
Devon: Listen to me. We're done. And you're gonna leave us alone.
Colin: I will. But you and Hilary are playing a dangerous game here -- very dangerous.
Billy: Hey. Sorry I missed you, Chels. I just came home to change, but I'm headed back to the hospital.
[Knock on door]
Billy: And somebody's at the door. Got to go.
Jill: Hello, darling. Mwah!
Billy: Mom. Hi.
Jill: My, but you've been a very busy boy the past 24 hours, huh?
Billy: Oh, you heard about the baby being born.
Jill: Yes, but not from my own son. It's okay. I'm gonna give you a pass on that because I doubt you had time to pick up the phone.
Billy: You know what? You're right. I didn't. In fact, I don't have time to talk now, either, so I got to --
Jill: Hold on, son, 'cause your mama has something to say to you, and you need to hear it.
Billy: Just not another warning about everything I'm doing wrong in my life.
Jill: Well, it's actually about what you're not doing that I'm worried.
Billy: [Sighs]
Maureen: How long have I been out?
Stitch: Quite a while -- a day and a half.
Maureen: I-I-I had surgery?
Stitch: And it went well.
Maureen: Does Kelly know?
Stitch: About the heart attack? Yeah, she's -- she spent the night here. I finally sent her home to get some rest.
Maureen: I'm so tired. Oh, yeah -- Victoria. Oh, I forgot! She -- you got to get her out of the --
Stitch: Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom, Billy and I found her. If we hadn't, we could have lost her and her beautiful baby.
Victoria: We made it. Yes, we did. We made it, thanks to your -- thanks to Billy and Ben.
Victor: May we come in?
Nikki: [Gasps]
Victoria: Hi!
Nikki: Hi! Look at your granddaughter! She's so anxious to meet you.
Nikki: How are you?
Victoria: I'm good.
Nikki: And who is this princess? What's your name?
Victoria: She doesn't have a name yet.
Nikki: Ohh.
Victoria: Or a last name.
Victor: Well, she's a Newman. That's all that counts. Look at that. Aren't you pretty?
Nikki: As convenient as it may be to simply name the child "Newman" and be done with it, there are a couple of potential fathers who might have a say in the matter.
Victor: Wait a minute. Why are we even talking about that? I haven't even said hello to this bundle of joy.
Victoria: Oh, well, yes. This is your grandpa Victor. You are very lucky to know him. He is, after all, the master of the universe.
Victor: Yes. And don't you forget it. Look how beautiful you are. You're just so beautiful. Look at those little fingers, hmm? You're just as beautiful as your mother was when she was born, and you'll have just as good a life. I'll teach you how to horseback-ride. I'm gonna build a dollhouse of the ranch. You'll become a debutante. Well, then maybe you'll go to the Wharton school of economics or Harvard business school. Then you'll become chairman of the federal reserve. How's that?
Nikki: Now, Victor, there will be no preplanning of this poor child's life. Will there, my angel?
Victor: There we go.
Nikki: The most important thing is you're gonna be surrounded by people who care about you -- yes -- and love you very, very much.
Victoria: Oh, yes, of course. You're gonna have lots of those.
Nikki: Here, mama.
Victoria: You're gonna have Johnny and reed and uncle Nick and aunt Abby and all of your cousins.
Victor: [Chuckles]
Victoria: Ohh.
Victor: Look at you. Yes. Look at you.
Nikki: So precious. Yes. You're gonna be grandma's girl.
Victor: Look at that sweet baby.
Nikki: And I don't mean to harp on this, but I've learned through my experience with Dylan that it's very important that the father be involved in the baby's life from the very beginning.
Victor: You know, sweetheart, I think that vase needs some water, okay? Would you mind?
Nikki: I got it. Yep. I'll be right back.
Victor: Look at you. Look at you. You're a pretty baby, aren't you? Yes. You know your mother thinks with her heart. You know that. I want you to think with your head, for your sake and for the baby's sake, okay?
Billy: Well, I thought we already hashed this out. Yes, I was concerned that Chelsea was still holding on to Adam, but we are working on that, just like I am moving on from Victoria. Are you satisfied? 'Cause I really need to get back to --
Jill: Victoria?
Billy: Mom, come on.
Jill: Honey, look -- no matter who your future lies with, and I seriously doubt it's Chelsea, you can't just sit back and see how things shake out with the baby. You need to find out if she's yours...and mine. It would be nice to know if I have a new grandchild to spoil.
Billy: Believe me, Mom -- I am dying to get an answer to that question, but with everything that Victoria has been through, I didn't want to press her.
Jill: From what I hear, mother and daughter are doing just fine, so you don't need to hold back any longer. Darlin', you helped bring that little baby into the world, okay? So, Victoria owes you the truth. Go over there and get it.
Billy: [Sighs]
Maureen: The baby. She had the b--
Stitch: Yeah, she gave birth -- right outside the dirty closet you left her in. There was no time to get her to the hospital, so Billy and I had to deliver the baby right there in the parking garage.
Maureen: Are they okay?
Stitch: Yeah. Victoria's blood pressure's been a little up and down. The baby's doing okay. She's had no complications.
Maureen: It's a girl?
Stitch: Okay, don't. Don't do that. Don't look so happy. You have no right, after what you did. How -- how could you lock up a pregnant woman?
Maureen: I don't know! It's just Victoria was gonna call the police.
Stitch: So you threw her in a janitor's closet?
Maureen: Oh, I was out of my mind, I was so scared, and then I was in so much pain. I -- ohh.
Stitch: All right. Okay. Just calm down.
Maureen: I didn't mean to hurt her. I-I just needed some time to figure out what I was gonna do next.
Stitch: Take some deep breaths and try to relax, all right?
Maureen: Yeah.
Stitch: I'm gonna go check on Victoria and the baby.
Maureen: [Breathing deeply] Man.
Nikki: I just found out what happened. I'm so glad you're all right.
Maureen: Yeah, I'll bet you are.
Grace: Your glass looks so lonely. I'm sure it would feel a lot better with a companion next to it. That's more like it.
Nick: What are you doing here? I thought you said you were only gonna be in town for, like, a day or so.
Grace: I was, but then I decided to go to Sharon's to meet Cassie's twin.
Nick: Did she tell you what happened?
Grace: What a shock. I mean, last time I came, you were so happy with her, ready to make her your wife again.
Nick: Yeah, well, that's not gonna happen now.
Grace: I'm sure you must be devastated. That's why I came by.
Nick: So you could check on me?
Grace: You can question my motives all you want, but the truth is I'm here because I care about you. But, of course, if you prefer, I could just leave right now. Is that what you want?
Hilary: What about Devon?
Lily: Well, I could make a big deal out of it, but I decided to do it in the least painful way possible. Hey, Devon, come here. You should hear this, too.
Devon: I should hear what?
Lily: Well, you know that, uh, family dinner I was gonna have to meet your new little girlfriend?
Devon: Yeah. Thank you.
Lily: I'm canceling it.
Devon: That's great, because I was really starting to feel pressured by everyone.
Lily: Yeah. I just think it's too much, too soon. So, instead, we'll have a casual lunch.
Devon: Okay. So, you're not canceling anything. You're just changing it to lunch.
Lily: Well, we can't just not have it altogether. Dad's really looking forward to it. And given everything that he's been through, I mean, come on.
Devon: I know you don't want to disappoint him.
Lily: No. He cares about us. Can you blame him for wanting to know the people that he loves have found love, too?
Devon: No. No, I can't blame him at all.
Lily: Okay, good. So, then, it's settled.
Hilary: You know, lily, I-I really don't think that I'll be able to squeeze it in.
Lily: Oh, don't worry. I'll find a date that works for everybody. So, what do you say? Are you gonna invite your new best friend Colin?
Devon: What are you talking about?
Lily: Well, I saw you two talking over there. So, what was that about?
Kurtz: I don't like meeting here -- too many people.
Colin: Consider this our last meeting. Here. Every penny of it. Now we're done.
Kurtz: We've got a new laundry business, remember -- funneling cash through your wife's boutiques?
Colin: Yeah, well, this cancels that out.
Kurtz: 'Fraid not, my friend, unless you've forgotten the penalty for reneging on our arrangement. Your wife's life depends on it.
Nikki: I don't understand your attitude.
Maureen: It all started when you spied on my private conversation with Ben.
Nikki: Spied? I was in the other room. I can't help it if your son spoke loud enough for me to hear him say that he didn't kill his father.
Maureen: I begged you to let it go! But you -- you just had to tell Victoria.
Nikki: Because she was ready to walk away from him. And I told her not to, that there had to be a better explanation. That's all I said.
Maureen: You certainly told her enough to interrogate me. I couldn't take it anymore.
Nikki: And I am so sorry that it got to that point, but it didn't have to. You could have prevented it by vindicating your son years ago, but you fought against it. What kind of mother does that?
Maureen: That's my business -- mine alone! You just had to make it yours. I thought we were friends. You just threw me under the bus. You knew I was carrying a dirty little secret. Well, not anymore. That's my little story to tell. And maybe I'll just -- maybe I'll start with Victor.
Victor: You know as well as I do that you're more than capable of raising that child without those two men.
Victoria: Yes. I know that I am capable. But do I want to?
Victor: Sweetheart... before you make a decision... think of what those two guys have done. Think of their record.
Betsy: I'm sorry to interrupt.
Victoria: Oh. Does she have to go back to the nursery?
Betsy: You both need your rest.
Victoria: All right. It's time to go to dreamland. Yes, it is. But you'll be back with Mommy soon. There you go.
Victor: There we go.
Victoria: Thank you, Betsy.
[Baby cooing]
Victor: Yes, sweet little baby. If you decide to raise this beautiful child on your own, you'll get all the help you need, okay?
Billy: You'd like that, wouldn't you -- the gospel according to Victor Newman, complete with miraculous conception, no father required?
Victor: Not from the likes of you, Billy boy.
Victoria: Dad, I need to speak with Billy alone for a minute.
Victor: All right.
Victoria: All right? Would you shut the door on your way out? Thank you.
Stitch: Visiting your grandchild?
Victor: What is it to you?
Stitch: You mean besides the fact that I delivered her?
Victor: Let me ask you something -- what were you doing in that parking lot when my daughter went into labor?
Stitch: She didn't tell you.
Victor: No, she didn't tell me, so why don't you?
Grace: So, what's it gonna be? Would you like a very friendly shoulder to lean on, or would you like to rely on yourself for what would ultimately be unsatisfying comfort?
Nick: What did Sharon tell you about the split?
Grace: Not much -- just that she hurt you really bad. Who was he? Do I know him?
Nick: If only it were another guy. That I could probably forgive.
Grace: What could be worse than infidelity?
Nick: She changed DNA records to make me think Summer was Jack's daughter, not mine.
Grace: What? What? Why would she -- no baggage, so she could have a clear path to you without Phyllis' daughter in the way.
Nick: That was pretty good.
Grace: Oh, God. Please tell me that that's the worst of it.
Nick: Well, you could throw in Sharon pushing Phyllis down a flight of stairs, purposely or not -- take your pick -- putting Phyllis in a coma, making her unable to reveal the truth about the paternity test.
Grace: That is crazy, I mean, even for my crazy friend Sharon! I heard she's bipolar.
Nick: That's no excuse. I get the mood swings and the high-wire act when you're in that manic phase, but this was a calculated, deliberate decision that Sharon made, and she kept it from me. She kept it from me.
Grace: I'm so sorry.
Nick: Ah, it doesn't matter, you know? I'm just glad I found out before we made it official.
Grace: And you're sure... it's over?
Nick: I'm positive.
Grace: Well, in that case... come here.
Colin: I am done with this. Now you take the money. You leave my wife alone.
Kurtz: Or what? You may have had a network behind you down under, but you have no resources here. Your threats are idle. Ours aren't. So shut up and do what you're told if you want to keep the missus from having an unfortunate accident.
Jill: Did you really think you could get away with this?
Colin: Jill, this isn't what it seems.
Jill: Oh, darlin', this is exactly what it seems, and I am not the only one who thinks so.
Harding: Detective mark Harding, GCPD.
Jill: Thank you for coming, detective. I demand that you make an arrest.
Billy: Thanks for standing up to your dad just now.
Victoria: It's the least I could do. If it hadn't been for you and Ben -- [Exhales sharply] I owe you a lot.
Billy: You know, I'm getting pretty good at this whole delivering-babies thing. I'm thinking about quitting my job at Jabot and becoming a midwife.
Victoria: Well, you can deliver my baby anytime.
Billy: [Chuckles] So, where -- where is the little one, anyway?
Victoria: Oh. They took her back to the nursery.
Billy: I hate I missed her. I'll pop my head in before I leave.
Victoria: I hate being away from her, even for a minute.
Billy: I know the feeling.
Victor: What you're telling me is outrageous. Your mother could have killed my daughter and granddaughter.
Stitch: She couldn't deal with the truth coming out, but it had to.
Victor: Your mother's gonna pay for her crimes. You know that, don't you?
Stitch: She's down the hall recovering, Mr. Newman. If you're thinking about confronting her, she can't -- she can't take too much. I don't give a damn. She's a killer, not me. You know something? I always had great admiration for you, stitch. I admire a man who sacrifices everything for someone he loves, even though that person he does the sacrifice for doesn't deserve it.
Nikki: Go ahead. Tell the whole world I've been drinking. Doesn't make any difference to me.
Maureen: It sure made a difference a couple days ago.
Nikki: Well, I have that problem under control.
Maureen: I've known a lot of alcoholics, and that's what they all say.
Nikki: Well, it's the truth. Besides, even if you did accuse me, who would believe you, a woman who's lived her life with lies, forced her son to suffer for a crime that she committed? That's not really giving you much credibility, now, is it? So, go ahead. Talk to Victor. Talk to the press. It's all gonna come down to my word against yours, and I guarantee you I will come out on top. I always do.
Maureen: What timing.
Nikki: Hello, Victor.
Victor: Sweetheart, I don't know if you should stay. There are a few things I have to say to this woman that are not fit for ladies' ears.
Maureen: And I might have a little story for you, too.
Lily: So, that's why he pulled you aside -- to talk about an investment?
Devon: Uh-huh. He thought it was something that would benefit both of us.
Lily: I mean, I know he loves his family, but when it comes to money, I don't trust him, so, please, if you guys shake hands, just count all your fingers.
Devon: Yeah, I know. I'm being careful.
Lily: Well, in that case, I'm gonna make some calls. I'll be right back.
Hilary: So...what really happened with Colin?
Devon: I paid him the money, so our secret's safe.
Hilary: For now. It's only a matter of time before somebody else just --
Devon: Just let's take one step at a time.
Hilary: So, what about lily's lunch? How are you gonna deal with that?
Devon: I don't know. I guess I don't have a choice. I have to invite my girlfriend.
Harding: You'll need to come with me, sir.
Kurtz: What the hell?
Harding: Mr. Kurtz, you're under arrest.
Kurtz: Me?
Colin: Good work, detective!
Harding: Well, you can thank your wife. She took a picture of this guy, sent it in. We found he's got a few warrants in Madison, where he's wanted for racketeering and assault with a deadly weapon.
Colin: You never cease to amaze me.
Jill: I'm just so thankful he didn't hurt you, darling.
Kurtz: Get these off of me. You've got the wrong guy.
Harding: Yeah. Sure, I do.
Kurtz: He's the criminal, and I can prove it.
Nick: Oh, God.
Grace: What's wrong?
Nick: This -- this is wrong. This is wrong.
Grace: I know, but it feels so great.
Nick: Okay. I'm sorry. No, no, no. Listen. I'm sorry. This has got to stop.
Grace: You know, I just don't throw myself at any guy. I'm very selective about who I'm willing to make a fool out of myself with.
Nick: Hey. Hey. You're not a fool. You're not a fool. You're incredibly sexy. I'm probably gonna be kicking myself for this later... but you should probably go.
Maureen: I was doing Nikki a favor by keeping this quiet, but I think you should know that she --
Victor: Listen to me. I don't need to know a damn thing from you. Has she told you what she has done to Victoria and the baby?
Nikki: What?
Maureen: Okay.
Victor: I'm sure she hasn't, has she?
Maureen: I'm not fit. You have to go.
Victor: Listen to me. I'm not going to go anywhere. I'm gonna be dogging you like a shadow -- your worst nightmare. Got it?
Nikki: What are you talking about? What's happened?
Victor: She locked Victoria in a closet.
Nikki: What? You did what?!
Victor: She locked her in a closet because she didn't want her to go to the police and tell the cops what she knows about her husband's death. It wasn't stitch who killed her husband.
Nikki: It makes total sense to me now.
Victor: She killed him.
Nikki: Now I get it -- why stitch came to you and why you wanted him to leave it alone. Oh, my God!
Maureen: He should have -- he should have --
Victor: Listen to me. This is on you. I'm gonna use every legal resource at my disposal, and it ends with you. Even if you're getting away with killing your husband, you will not get away with what you did to my daughter. You got it?!
Nikki: Just leave her. Let's go see Victoria and the baby. I'll be your worst nightmare!
Nikki: Come on, Victor.
Colin: Don't listen to this guy, detective. I mean, how could I possibly know him when, frankly, I-I've never even met this guy.
Jill: That is very true. My husband was here on business, and, obviously, this man came up and tried to draw him in to some of his illegal scams.
Kurtz: You'd better watch what you say, woman.
Colin: Are you threatening my wife?
Harding: Yeah. Hey, I'd love to add intimidation to your list of charges. Anybody else you want to threaten while you're in cuffs?
Jill: Would you just get him out of our sight, please?
Harding: You heard the lady. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
Colin: Oh, you are such an amazing woman. Thank you for saving my tush.
Jill: You just never learn, do you? Now, I am gonna have you thrown into jail unless you tell me exactly what is going on.
Nick: I'm so sorry. I never should have let it get that far.
Grace: Come on. You were hurting. You just wanted it to stop for a little while.
Nick: Yeah, well, I picked the worst possible way to do that. No offense.
Grace: Yeah. I'll try not to take any.
Nick: It's just I'm doing exactly what my dad said I always do -- jump right into relationships without really thinking them through, seeing if we're compatible or if we want the same things or listening when everyone around me is saying, "that woman is wrong for you."
Grace: That's for you to decide.
Nick: Yeah, but at that point, I'm too far gone. You know, Phyllis, then Avery, Sharon again -- now you.
Grace: I'm flattered to be included, but come on, Nick -- that was just a little fooling around. That's it.
Nick: But it all starts somewhere. I got to break this pattern.
Grace: Don't you think you could have just waited to have this revelation till after we had great sex, maybe?
Nick: It's really great to see you again, grace.
Grace: Yeah. Yeah, I'll look you up in another 10 years.
Nick: I'm breaking the pattern, remember.
Grace: Yeah. It's gonna be hard to do when all the women in your life aren't going anywhere.
Nick: Yeah. Maybe I'm the one who needs to go.
Victor: I did not trust that woman the moment I laid eyes on her. Should have told you and everyone else to stay away from her.
Nikki: Well, it's a good thing that stitch and Billy realized what was going on with Victoria or we wouldn't have either one of them.
Victor: But now we have something to celebrate.
Nikki: Ah.
Victor: Ah. I had bonnie bring out some champagne and some apple cider. There we go. Care to join me, my love?
Nikki: Sure.
Victor: Of course you do. Let's see here. That's the -- well, you may as well have this. That's the apple cider. There we go.
Nikki: Thank you.
Victor: And I'm gonna have champagne. To our daughter and our beautiful new grandbaby. May they live a long and happy life. Ahh.
Nikki: So, you never did tell me how you found out about Maureen.
Victor: Oh. Well, I talked to stitch... and he told me what he had to endure because of his mother. But, fortunately, in that conversation I found out that stitch is not a murderer. In fact, he's quite the hero.
Nikki: Well, Billy was a hero, too, the way he rescued Victoria and the baby. Has that made you change your opinion of him?
Billy: I am so grateful that you and the baby are all right.
Victoria: But?
Billy: Bringing her into this world the way that I did, I can't begin to describe how amazing that was -- holding her in my hands and watching her take her first breath, knowing that I might have had a part in making her. I need to know, Vick.
Victoria: If she's yours?
Stitch: We both need to know. She's not an idea anymore. She's here. She's real. And every second that goes by is another second that we lose with her. We've already lost enough, don't you think?
Betsy: I gave you orders to rest, and I expect them to be carried out.
Stitch: The boss has spoken.
Billy: I'll, uh -- I'll see you later.
Stitch: Same here.
Betsy: Two such handsome guys. Which one's the daddy?
Lily: Okay. So, I got the ball rolling.
Devon: What ball?
Lily: Well, I talked to Dad and cane about our family lunch, and we're gonna confirm some dates after thanksgiving.
Devon: Fantastic.
Lily: Devon, come on. I'm serious about this. This is just as important to me as it is to Dad. I don't know. When Katherine left you that money, you just changed, you know? You seemed...lost until this woman came into your life. I guess it just shows that money can't buy happiness, right?
Devon: Well, I can buy some things.
Lily: Well, not the important ones. I just want to welcome this girl into our family the way I've tried to welcome Hilary.
Hilary: You have, lily, and I appreciate it.
Lily: See? Do you hear that? Your girlfriend will appreciate it, too.
Jill: No, no. You are not going to scuttle out of this one.
Colin: I've got nothing to scuttle out of.
Jill: Would you like me to call detective Harding and tell him that you and his prisoner are really acquainted?
Colin: You're not gonna do that to your loving, devoted hubby.
Jill: Really? Mm.
Colin: Okay. Okay. I'll tell you.
Jill: Starting with what's in there.
Colin: [Exhales sharply] In here?
Jill: Mm-hmm.
Colin: Would you believe a first-edition, signed copy of "the moron's guide to a happy marriage"? I've been through -- $2 million.
Jill: What?! What the hell are you doing walking around with $2 million?
Colin: Kurtz discovered the necklace we gave him was a dud.
Jill: Oh, my God.
Colin: So, the only way I could resolve the debt was to, uh, make him a silent partner in the boutique business so he could launder dirty money.
Jill: Well, I hope you didn't do that.
Colin: [Chuckles] Of course not. But it wasn't well received.
Jill: So, you decided to pay him off and just be done with it?
Colin: That's about the size of it, yeah.
Jill: Speaking of size, my angel... where in blazes did you get $2 million?
Colin: Before your little mind runs amok, no, I did not dip into boutique money. As luck would have it... this was one of my less inspired investments that just happened to turn a profit.
Victor: You're asking me if I've changed my mind about Billy boy Abbott? He's the same screw-up he's always been.
Nikki: What if he turns out to be the baby's father?
Victor: [Sighs] Well, in that case, I hope Victoria has enough sense, after all the stuff that man has put her through, not to let him back into her life in any shape or form.
Nikki: Would you like some more champagne?
Victor: I'd love it. Thank you, sweetheart.
Nikki: Mm-hmm.
Victor: Okay. This is a happy day, isn't it? To our new grandbaby. May they have a long and happy life. Cheers.
Nikki: I hope you're right about that.
Billy: [Thinking] You are so lucky to have Victoria for a mom. I only hope I have the chance for you to call me "Daddy."
Stitch: Hey, ma, I just wanted to check your vitals real qui--
Nick: Hey.
Victoria: Hi. [Gasps] Hey, look who's here. It's your Uncle Nick.
Nick: Tell the nurse, though. She made me -- she said I had to leave so you can get some rest.
Victoria: She's being really strict. I had to get the other nurse to bring me the baby.
Nick: She's beautiful. I mean, you hit the jackpot.
Victoria: I know. Tell me about it.
Nick: You did it. You got your miracle baby.
Victoria: I know, after everything I've been through. It just goes to show you should never give up.
Nick: I needed to hear this today.
Victoria: Do you want to talk to me about something?
Nick: No, not especially.
Victoria: I understand how you feel. Everybody's been asking me about the father and when I'm gonna find out who it is.
Nick: What's your answer?
Victoria: I don't have one.
Nick: Well, far be it from me to give you advice...
Victoria: But you're going to anyway?
Nick: Well, I know a little bit about this, and the best thing you can do for you and your baby is to lock this paternity down. You'll still be free to live your own life and make your own choices, but if you keep everyone in the dark about this, you're just gonna put them through hell. I'm sorry. Is that out of line?
Victoria: No. Just the opposite. You know, I've been going back and forth about what to do, and I think you just helped me make up my mind. Would you go get Dr. Sternin? I want to have the DNA test done as soon as possible.
Nick: Yeah.
Victoria: Thank you.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Nick: I'm not here for the party. I just came to say goodbye.
Billy: Think maybe you can come back later?
Ashley: I'm not leaving until you hear what I have to say.
Jack: Everybody calm down. This whole announcement is premature.
