Episode # 10513 ~ Billy's relationship with Victoria troubles Chelsea, while Jack's world is rocked!
Provided By Suzanne
Summer: [Voice breaking] Did they have to give her the sedative? There was so much that I want to ask her. I mean, did she hear us all those times when we visited her? And does she know how much we missed her? Part of me was so scared that I would never see mom awake again. But I did. And now her eyes are closed, and I'm just scared that they won't open.
Jack: Hey, hey, hey. Take it easy. Take a big breath.
Summer: [Inhales deeply]
Jack: The worst is over. Your mom's out of the coma, and the doctors have her sedated because it's the easiest way to deal with her agitation and to run the tests they need to run.
Avery: This is incredible. My sister has come back. And knowing Phyllis, she came back the only way she knew how -- making a grand entrance.
Jack: That no one could possibly forget.
Avery: [Chuckling] Yes.
Summer: Mom is home.
Nick: Sharon, please talk to me. Tell me what's going on.
Sharon: I just -- I-I couldn't be in there in the church. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't think. [Sighs]
Nick: Look, it was hard for all of us, but you panicked. What scared you so much? Is it the secret that you told Phyllis? You're afraid of what she knows?
Sharon: I don't know what she knows! And I can't even remember because of the damn ECT treatment.
Nick: Look, that doesn't matter.
Sharon: Yes, it does. If Phyllis hadn't collapsed, she would have let you all in on it, and then --
Nick: And then nothing. Nothing is gonna change the way I feel about you. Do you know that?
Sharon: It was just... seeing Phyllis again. That was my panic. I felt like I was hallucinating all over again. And being at the altar with you, saying our vows, and then seeing her? I felt like I was losing myself and you all over again.
Nick: As insane as it was, it happened. We all saw the same thing. Sharon, you're okay. All your hallucinations are in the past.
Sharon: Nick, I don't know if that's true.
Chelsea: The watermelon water pearls were cute.
Billy: And the, uh -- what was it? Smoked-oyster ice cubes? [Chuckles]
Chelsea: Yeah, that was...
Billy: Beyond words.
Chelsea: You hated it.
Billy: No, no, it was, uh...
Chelsea: Ridiculous.
Billy: [Chuckles]
Chelsea: And the worst part is, I'm starving now. No, no, the worst part is it was my idea to go to that restaurant, and I'm starving now.
Billy: Never too late for pizza.
Chelsea: Yeah! Seriously?
Billy: Yeah. All it takes is a call.
[Knock on door]
Billy: It's true -- I'm psychic. I have a connection to the delivery guy.
Chelsea: Abby.
Abby: Oh, hi. Yes, did I have to track you down at your mistress's house because you can't answer your phone? And you need to know Victoria is in labor.
Nikki: Honey, are you all right?
Victoria: Oh, hi. Yeah. I'm okay, honestly. It was just Braxton-hicks contractions, and Dr. Chiverton is signing my release papers right now. There's nothing to worry about at all. I promise.
Nikki: Well, thank goodness. That baby needs to stay where he or she is for a little while longer.
Victoria: I just feel awful. I'm making this big fuss out of nothing. I should have known that it was false labor.
Nikki: Well, honey, how could you have known? Now, listen, your first obligation is to that baby and yourself.
Victoria: I know. Running out on nick? [Groans]
Nikki: Uh, you weren't the only one. The wedding didn't quite go as planned.
Victoria: What? Did he back out?
Nikki: There was an interruption.
Victoria: [Gasps] Oh. Dad.
Nikki: Actually, it was Phyllis.
Victoria: What? Do you mean literally? She actually physically showed up at the church? I mean, how is that even possible?
Nikki: Well, it may not be possible, but that's what happened. She came right into the church, walked down the aisle, and collapsed in front of everybody. Everybody's in shock. Of course, now she's here. She's in memorial. I just hope to God she pulls through this for Summer's sake.
Austin: Summer.
Summer: Hey.
Kelly: Hey. How is she?
Jack: She's -- she's here. She's, uh --
Avery: Barton, please, explain this to me -- all of it.
Jack: Last we heard, there was little chance she was coming out of the coma.
Summer: Okay, but she's okay, right? She's back for good?
Barton: We ran preliminary scans on Phyllis when she first arrived. Her brain activity is normal. Her vitals aren't alarming, so there's no indication of any immediate issues.
Summer: Then why did she collapse at the church?
Barton: Well, just traveling all those miles to get here would have been strenuous enough for her.
Jack: When can we talk to her about that?
Avery: We have so many questions.
Barton: I'm sure you do, and she will have plenty herself, but right now, we need to keep things simple. Now, the period after regaining consciousness can be extremely confusing, so don't push for answers. Don't overwhelm her with a lot of information. She may not be able to handle everything that has happened in her absence.
Nick: What are you saying? Are you seeing Cassie again?
Sharon: You know I have. I told you.
Nick: That was a dream.
Sharon: But that's still my mind giving me messages, just like in a hallucination.
Nick: Everyone has dreams, and as far as Cassie goes, of course you're thinking about her right now and dreaming about her. Think about it. Mariah is here, and we're getting married. And you want Cassie to be a part of it, and so do I, but that is the only message your brain is trying to send to you.
Sharon: We were getting married...and I ruined it. I ruined everything.
Nick: No, you didn't. Phyllis walked into that chapel and collapsed. There wasn't anything anyone could do about that. But we said what we needed to say. I got to kiss my bride. Even if we didn't get to make it legal, nothing is ruined. Finalizing this marriage is just a formality. Sharon, this is permanent.
We are forever.
Sharon: I'm so sorry.
Nick: Don't be sorry. Come on. Let's just go home.
Sharon: Faith and the kids -- I ran out. Uh, who knows what they're thinking?
Mariah: I mean, holy crap. That was nuts. This Phyllis chick just wakes up from the dead and shows up at a wedding?
Noah: Well, she was in a coma, so...not dead, obviously.
Mariah: Yeah, but everybody was acting like she was, right? I mean, they didn't expect her to wake up and throw rice.
Faith: The minister didn't say "husband and wife" like in the movies. Daddy has to bring mommy home and say "husband and wife."
Noah: Oh. Sweetie, I don't think that they're gonna be able to do that tonight, okay? But mom and dad will be home soon.
Faith: The penny was supposed to be lucky.
Mariah: What penny? The one you gave Sharon for her shoe?
Noah: Sweetie, this wasn't about luck, okay? I mean, if anything, tonight -- it was good luck 'cause Summer's mom -- she was sick, and she got better.
Mariah: Hey, and didn't you have that talk about superstitions? You don't need a magic wand or a lucky penny to fix this. It's all gonna be fine.
Faith: But I wanted them to get married.
Mariah: Yeah, and I want a pink pony with braids.
Faith: Me, too.
Noah: [Chuckles]
Mariah: [Chuckles]
Noah: Okay, faith, mom and dad love each other so much that sometimes they can't even tell that somebody else is in the room. So, "husband and wife" or not, they're gonna be together forever.
Chelsea: The baby's coming? It's too early, isn't it?
Billy: Vick's not due for another month. What happened? Oh, is it -- it's that damn bachelorette party, wasn't it? Everybody getting arrested and --
Abby: Or maybe the baby just decided it was time, and since my money is on you being the baby daddy, I thought you should know, but I guess you were just too busy to answer your phone.
Billy: Don't do that. It is not Chelsea's fault that I didn't pick up.
Abby: Whatever. Are you driving, or am I?
Billy: Well, considering the fact that I'm not leaving, it's gonna be kind of hard for me to drive.
Abby: I'm sorry. What? Just because Chelsea's standing there, you think you need to act like a zombie? Your baby might be being born.
Billy: And Victoria picked you to be the birthing coach, not me. We're divorced. She doesn't want me there.
Abby: Why? Because she said that? Why would you believe her?
Billy: Did she send you to come get me?
Abby: No, but I know my sister.
Billy: And I know my ex-wife. [Sighs] I'm not gonna go down there and stress her out, Abby. So go back down there and help her through this. You're the one she wants.
Abby: [Scoffs] Congratulations. You just kept a man from bringing his child into the world. Well-done.
Billy: Abby, come on.
Chelsea: Okay, you have to go.
Billy: No.
Chelsea: She needs you. Your baby --
Billy: Or Stitch's.
Chelsea: Or yours. You have to be there for your sake -- for the baby's.
Billy: [Sighs]
Chelsea: Don't miss this chance, Billy. You might not get it again.
Victoria: So they didn't get married? Sharon left nick at the altar?
Nikki: Well, it wasn't quite like that.
Victoria: You said she ran away from her groom.
Nikki: It was very unusual circumstances.
Victoria: Well, you see, that's just it. That's just Sharon. She doesn't react like a rational person. "Gee, the mother of your daughter, your ex-wife who's just recovered from a terrible accident just -- she just recovered, and, oh, let me just run off and make it all about me."
Nikki: No, I-I really don't think it was a plea for attention. I think it was an instinctual reaction. She just had to get out of there.
Victoria: By leaving the man that she supposedly loves to deal with it all on his own? After Avery already left him at the altar? Could Sharon not just for once put nick first? I don't know. Sorry. Okay, I'm sorry. I just -- you know what? I need to see him.
Nikki: No, no, no. No. Stay here. Stay here. Sit down. You're going to stay here and wait until you are released, okay? You let Nicholas handle this on his own. I know you're the older sister, but you cannot be his protector -- not tonight. There's somebody else who needs your attention.
Victoria: [Sighs] Could they not hurry up with those release forms?
Nikki: All right, I'm gonna go see what the holdup is. Don't you try to make a break for it, okay? There's been enough excitement for one day.
Summer: I've prayed for this day for so long. And not just when I went to sleep or when I woke up. I could be stopped at a stoplight and just think to myself, "just, please, God -- please, just let me have my mom back." And I know that some people gave up, and I think that that was because it just hurt so much to have hope, and they just needed to stop hurting. But for me, it would have hurt so much more to not have any hope. And then you walked in like an angel...except you were real. [Voice breaking] You came back to me, mom. I cannot lose you again. Please. I can't lose you again. I can't lose you. [Sniffles]
Phyllis: I'm here, baby... to stay.
Summer: [Crying]
Abby: All right, I got magazines and soothing music, and are you stressed? Don't be stressed.
Victoria: Good. I am not stressed.
Abby: Okay, you went with the epidural already. Not part of our birth plan, but you know what? Who can blame you? That baby is barging his or her way out.
Victoria: Abby, it was Braxton-hicks contractions, okay? The baby is fine. The baby is staying put.
Abby: [Exhales deeply] Oh, thank God. I needed more time to prepare. Oh, I just threw a bunch of things in a bag, and they were not real labor-ready. And these shoes -- not fluid-friendly.
Victoria: Oh, good. Aren't we lucky? The baby knew that it was bad timing for you.
Abby: Well, I still feel terrible that I left you here even though it's a false alarm. Are you okay?
Victoria: No, I am not okay. I can't stop thinking about all the things that could go wrong, all right, and all of the days after that. And this tiny little life that it's just -- I'm gonna be completely responsible for.
Abby: Stop, 'cause look how amazing Johnny and reed are. You are a great mom.
Victoria: Thank you very much, but I wasn't alone for that. I'm gonna be alone for this baby.
Abby: Billy will be there for you -- whatever you need, whatever you let him do.
Victoria: Yeah, according to the visitation schedule and every alternate Wednesday if Billy is the father. And then there's Ben, who's moving on with his life, which is a great thing -- an honest life. Good. But a new life with work and personal relationships.
Abby: Okay, well, if you're throwing my mom into that mix...
Victoria: Oh, please. I don't even care, okay?
Abby: All I'm saying is, yes, I will admit there is some sort of --
Victoria: A chemical attraction between Ben and your mother that's very obvious to everybody.
Abby: Okay, but if the baby is his, stitch will do everything he can for that kid. He'll be in your face day and night -- as if you need that kind of stress. But you know I hope the baby's Billy's, and don't be mad, but I went and told him about your labor.
Victoria: And let me guess -- he was with Chelsea.
Billy: Great. Thank you. Pizza's on the way. I got it with frozen chia globules and sausage broth. Work for you?
Chelsea: No.
Billy: It was -- it was a joke. I got it with half pepperoni and veggie.
Chelsea: You are so stubborn. How did I never see this before?
Billy: You know, there's a 30-minute-or-less delivery time, so if you want to go upstairs and race the clock, we --
Chelsea: Billy.
Billy: Down here?
Chelsea: Please go.
Billy: [Sighs] Why?
Chelsea: Because you want to be at the hospital, so go.
Billy: So that what, Chels? So that I can -- I can pace the halls and hand out candy cigars and -- oh, here's an idea. I could thumb wrestle stitch to see who handles the baby first.
Chelsea: This is the baby that Victoria never expected to have. If she's scared, you can make it better.
Billy: Or I could make her crazy exactly when she doesn't need it.
Chelsea: Okay, then you lay low in the waiting area. You let Abby know you're there, but -- but if Victoria calls for you, you can get to her.
Billy: And if she doesn't?
Chelsea: Then you wait. And then, eventually, you get to meet a beautiful baby boy or baby girl, but you got to go.
Billy: [Sighs]
Chelsea: [Sighs] I mean, it's not like you're gonna be able to think about anything else tonight, anyway.
Jack: Thank you, doctor.
Barton: Of course. Okay.
Nikki: Hey. How's Phyllis doing?
Avery: She's sedated and resting. Summer's in there with her now. I think she just needs to see her and touch her. I was in with her before, and it's just so unreal.
Jack: For all of us. I feel almost numb. I saw her in the church, and my -- my brain still can't make sense of it.
Nikki: Yeah. Well, so much has changed this last year. Phyllis has no idea.
Jack: The world kept turning for everyone but Phyllis. Now she's back. What's next?
Summer: [Voice breaking] Mom.
Phyllis: [Weakly] It's okay, Summer. Mommy's okay.
Summer: I was supposed to go to the clinic. I could have been there with you. I could have brought you home. I should have gone. I'm sorry.
Phyllis: I made it, didn't I? I'm here with you.
Summer: Yeah. I love you.
Phyllis: I love you... Supergirl. Now I need to see your father. Okay?
Summer: Okay.
Billy: Excuse me. Uh, Victoria Newman's room, please?
Jack: Billy. Hey, I'm glad you're here, man.
Billy: Hey. You, too. I-I guess Abby called you over, huh? She probably wants to make sure that the first faces the baby sees are all Abbotts.
Jack: Wait -- Victoria's in labor?
Billy: Which you didn't know, so what are you doing here?
Jack: Phyllis woke up.
Billy: Are you -- are you kidding? Why aren't you on a jet to the clinic?
Jack: Because she's in this hospital right now.
Billy: Wait -- they transferred her?
Jack: No. Hardly. Frankly, I don't know how she got here, but I don't focus on that right now, or I'm tempted to sue somebody. No, she showed up at nick and Sharon's wedding.
Billy: Holy -- whoa. Well, I guess she picked up right where she left off -- stirring up trouble. I-I say that with love.
Jack: I know you do.
[Door opens]
Summer: Billy, hi.
Billy: Hey.
Summer: Hi.
Billy: Jack just told me the fantastic news.
Summer: Yeah, it's about to get even more fantastic. Mom is awake, and she wants to see you.
Billy: Don't leave her hanging. [Chuckles] Heads will roll.
Jack: Yeah, that's who she is.
Billy: Hey, the woman that you love made her way back to where she belongs.
Jack: Indeed, she did. Hey, red.
Phyllis: Jack.
Jack: Yeah, were you expecting someone else?
Faith: Mommy!
Noah: See, I told you dad would find her. Mom's home. Everything's fine.
Faith: Why did you run away?
Mariah: I don't know how many weddings you've been to, faith, but that one was a little bit different. The way that Summer's mom showed up was kind of crazy, and she was sick, and it looks like she's better now, and I think people were just super surprised. That goes double for your mom.
Sharon: Yeah. Um, Mariah's right. I was just really shocked when I saw Phyllis, but I didn't mean to scare you, and I know that you had your big brother and your big sister to look after you.
Faith: If Summer's mom is better, why'd she fall down and not get up?
Nick: Well, she's with the doctors now, sweetheart, and they're gonna make sure she's okay. Any word?
Noah: I traded a few texts with Austin. Last I heard, she's sedated, but the initial tests -- they look good.
Nick: I'm just glad Phyllis has her family around her. It's gonna make all the difference. I hope someone gets ahold of Daniel. He's not gonna want to miss out on this. Losing all that time with someone you love and never getting it back...
Sharon: Um, sweet pea, why don't we go upstairs and get changed out of our fancy clothes? I'll make you something to eat.
Mariah: I'll get you a yogurt.
Sharon: Thank you.
Noah: What happened? Why did mom rush out of the church?
Nick: Well, Mariah may not know your mother very well, but she was pretty right about that. Sharon just panicked. She saw Phyllis. She thought it was another hallucination.
Noah: Oh. No wonder she freaked out. Hell, I thought I was seeing things.
Nick: She's worried that Phyllis is gonna spill her secret.
Noah: This secret again -- I hope she does spill it. What could it be that's so bad? At least it'll be out in the open. We can all just move past it.
Nick: Yeah, I'm with you on that.
Noah: Speaking of moving on, faith was asking me when you're gonna finish the "I now pronounce you husband and wife" part of the wedding.
Nick: That will happen as soon as Sharon's ready. We are gonna spend the rest of our lives together, and nothing that happened today is gonna change that, okay?
Abby: Yes, I did find Billy with Chelsea. How does that make you feel?
Victoria: They're seeing each other, Abby, okay? It's not news.
Abby: You know what? Okay, now that we know the baby is okay, and you're about to go home, there is no reason for me to couch this.
Victoria: Couch what?
Abby: You pushed the man you love into another woman's arms. Yeah, you threw him out, and you made me your labor coach. You basically shoved him at Chelsea.
Victoria: I did not shove him at anybody. We're divorced. Billy is free to see whoever he wants to see, and he chose Chelsea.
Abby: Yeah, but dad and Nikki -- they get divorced like it's their hobby, but they still want to be together. And F.Y.I., Billy does not care about Chelsea.
Victoria: You are wrong about that. They happen to have a connection. They have done some really terrible things, and having that in common is like a relief for them. They don't have to hide who they are from each other. Do you know how many times I've asked Billy to be honest with me and to step up and to let me in? And he thinks that I'm just gonna crumble or that I'm gonna be hurt, and you know what? He doesn't have to worry about that with Chelsea. She's lived with Adam. Being with Billy will be a cakewalk for her.
Abby: So you're just gonna give up?
Victoria: Did you tell Billy that I was in labor?
Abby: Yes.
Victoria: Okay, so, then where is he?
Abby: Because you didn't want him here.
Victoria: Because, Abby, having him here just makes things too complicated, all right?
[Door opens]
Billy: Is she okay? Are -- are you okay?
Abby: [Sighs]
Billy: Look, you can -- you can throw me out if you want to, but I just -- I need to know that you and the baby are okay.
Billy: So, it was just false labor?
Victoria: Yeah. The baby is still safe and healthy. Don't worry.
Billy: What about you?
Victoria: Yeah, me, too. I'm just waiting for Dr. Chiverton to sign off on my release forms.
Billy: [Sighs] You, small fry -- we need to have a chat. You got to stop freaking people out. See, you may not know this about your mom, but she's that take-on-the-world type -- Johnny, reed, and Newman-chancellor, cleaning up after the mustache -- I mean -- I mean grandpa.
Victoria: Do you think the baby really needs to hear this right now?
Billy: I kept it rated "G." All I'm saying is that she doesn't need this right now, so cut her a break. And if you do, I'll give you a cookie...when you have teeth.
Victoria: Okay, Billy, the baby's fine, okay? I am, too.
Billy: You need to take care of you. Let the world take care of itself for a while.
Victoria: This baby is my priority.
Billy: Well, can I get you anything, then? Water? Ice cream? Trashy magazine? I could wait around till Chiverton signs off and chauffeur you home.
Victoria: Look, I know that Abby interrupted your evening, so why don't you get back to it?
Billy: It's not a problem. And I mean that.
Victoria: Well, I don't think Abby went very far. My mom's here, so... they'll take care of me. I'm fine.
Billy: Right. Okay. Just as long as you're okay.
Victoria: Billy. Well, thank you for coming.
Chelsea: [Exhales deeply]
Sharon: Faith's so exhausted, I think one story should do it for tonight.
Mariah: She's a tough girl. When she gets something in her head, it's hard to shake it. She thought that she might have jinxed you and nick with the penny that she gave you. I tried to tell her that it doesn't work that way.
Sharon: Thank you for trying. I know you didn't want an instant family, Mariah, but you're a good big sister... for explaining the shock of seeing Phyllis.
Mariah: I couldn't tell her why you really took off, could I? Phyllis knows your secret about nick. That's why you freaked -- because you know that it's all gonna come out sooner or later. And, yes, I will do what I can for faith, because she's gonna need it when all of this hits the fan.
Jack: Those eyes -- Summer was right. I didn't realize how much I missed those. How you feeling?
Phyllis: Exhausted. Evidently, I had a really long nap.
Jack: You don't have to think about that right now.
Phyllis: A year? A whole year, Jack?
Jack: You know what? You're tired because they've given you a sedative. Eventually, that'll wear off. Right now, you just need to rest. We can talk later...about everything.
Phyllis: About Summer?
Jack: Summer missed you so much. I tried to be the father to her that I thought she needed, but having her with me was a gift. Plain and simple, it was a gift.
Phyllis: You love her.
Jack: Yeah. Always have. But knowing that she was mine, knowing that you and I made this beautiful young woman -- well, having her with me was -- it meant the world to me. I think she likes having me in her life, too. We got each other through this. Losing you was... [Inhales deeply] I could have gone back to the pills, but I would look at Summer, and I would think I could never do that to my daughter.
Mariah: Hey.
Noah: You didn't have to come in.
Mariah: Well, I couldn't exactly stay at the house, and since nick doesn't want me drinking too much and crashing on people's couches, here I am.
Noah: Hey, how did my mom look when you left?
Mariah: I can't get inside Sharon's head, and I don't want to.
Abby: Champagne to celebrate.
Noah: Oh, I get it. Phyllis is okay. It's great. But the other stuff...
Abby: Oh, no, it's the other stuff that I'm celebrating. Yeah, uncle Jack has Phyllis back, and Kelly can move on to another set of brothers. Billy and Victoria are bonding over Braxton-hicks. And nick and Sharon aren't legally wed. Silver linings all around.
Noah: Come on. Abby, don't -- don't pull this stuff right now. If anybody deserves to be happy, it's my parents.
Abby: Oh, come on, Noah. You are doing what you have been doing for years -- trying to look after your mom since she can't do it herself. Well, she can, she will, and nick will find someone else to be happy with.
Noah: I'm not doing this with you.
Abby: [Scoffs] You know I'm right, right?
Mariah: [Scoffs]
Abby: You've seen Sharon. She makes herself out to be this victim, while she ruins lives around her. You were right to keep your distance.
Mariah: I don't need a pat on the back from you for having common sense. I know Sharon. I know what she's done. She's not a victim.
Nick: So, today was not what anyone expected, huh?
Sharon: But we're happy for Summer that her mommy's feeling better.
Nick: Noah said you were upset that we didn't get to the "husband and wife" part.
Faith: It's okay. You guys are meant to be together, no matter what.
Nick: That's right. So, today was all good news. Nothing to worry about. In fact, the only thing this means is that you get to have another really, really big party after we make it official. Let me see those teeth. Nice. Nice. Very clean. Very clean. Now give me a kiss. All right. Now go give one to your mommy.
Sharon: Mwah! Hug. Love you, baby.
Faith: Night.
Nick: Good night. Don't do it.
Sharon: What?
Nick: Don't go down that hole again. I can see the look in your eyes. Today was not a sign. It wasn't an omen. There is nothing that Phyllis knows that can hurt us. You have to trust me. And what faith said was right. We're meant to be together.
Avery: I hate that Dylan is in a cell. He would want to check in on Victoria, see how she's doing.
Nikki: I hate having people believe that he's a murderer. But thank God it's all an act. If he really were a suspect... plus, everything that happened today...
Avery: It's too much for anyone to handle. But you're okay?
Nikki: I have to be. Now I have to get Victoria out of here.
Summer: Oh, my God. Daniel doesn't know about my mom. I totally forgot to call him.
Avery: I've been trying to reach Daniel. This grant has him in some remote region.
Summer: Okay, did you try calling heather?
Avery: Yes, I did. She sends her love, and she says she'll keep trying to reach him.
Summer: Okay, but he should know. It's because of him that mom's awake. He's the one that picked the clinic.
Avery: I know. I wanted to keep my sister here, but Daniel was right. Although this clinic's release protocol is highly unconventional.
Austin: It's just -- it's not normal, right, for a clinic just to release someone like that? I mean, Summer's mom must have been awake for a long time. Shouldn't they have called somebody?
Avery: I agree, and I fully intend to look into that. In fact, no time like the present. Excuse me.
Summer: Thank you.
Austin: Come on. You should sit.
Summer: I just -- I don't --
Austin: I-I know.
Summer: And my mom is back. I got to talk to her. She -- she talked to me.
Austin: Yeah.
Summer: I haven't heard her voice in so long. I was scared I would never hear it again. I have you. I have both of my dads. I have my mom. It's just -- it's all too good. I don't want this moment to end.
Austin: Come here.
Jack: I'm gonna take that kiss on to the plane with me and every step of the way after that. In return, I want you to keep one thought in mind. When I come back from Georgia, I'm coming back to the woman I love, and together, we are going to let the past go -- yours and mine -- and with it, all of the pain and upset and heartache and disappointment. All that will matter is our future together.
Kelly: God, I want to believe that. I really do.
Jack: Then believe it. Believe it.
Kelly: [Crying]
Jack: Summer is amazing. She didn't have an easy time of it with you gone, but she proved to be brave and strong and every bit your daughter... and Nick's. What he did -- not retaking the DNA test, not telling us about it -- he and I have had words about it as recently as, well, the other night. He knows how I feel, but I know he loves Summer, and that means something.
Phyllis: Jack... there's something you have to know.
Nikki: Finally. The doctor has signed everything, and you, my love, are going home.
Victoria: Good. There is too much to do that I can't do from here.
Nikki: Oh, no, you're not going home to work. You're going home to rest. Hey, come to the ranch. Your father's out of town. I can look after Johnny.
Victoria: Mom, that's the point. Dad's out of town. I need to be at the office.
Nikki: No, the office can wait. You and the baby are your priority.
Victoria: I can look after both of us. I have to.
Billy: Hey.
Chelsea: What -- what happened? How's Victoria?
Billy: False alarm.
Chelsea: Oh. But she's okay? And the baby?
Billy: Both healthy. Both well. Jack, on the other hand -- his life just got really complicated.
Chelsea: What happened?
Billy: You got any pizza left? 'Cause the Jack thing's a long story, and I'm still starving.
Chelsea: Come in. Eat. Stay. Talk.
Billy: My kind of invitation. [Sighs] Back where I need to be.
Jack: There's plenty of time to tell me whatever you have to tell me. Right now, you need rest and medical attention. You've been in a coma for a long time. Your body, your muscles -- they all need to recover.
Phyllis: Not here.
Jack: Well, honey, you don't want to go back to the clinic.
Phyllis: No. I want to go home.
Nick: The fact is, you are my wife in every way that matters. And a few missing words at the end of a ceremony isn't gonna undo what we feel.
Sharon: I know you're right.
Nick: Okay, so if you're scared that Phyllis knows something, then let's talk it out until you're convinced that it doesn't matter. Unless...
Sharon: Unless what?
Nick: Did seeing Phyllis trigger something for you? Do you remember, Sharon?
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Joe: I'm not looking to start a fight.
Avery: What are you doing here? I thought this was a quick business trip.
Summer: Jack is at the hospital with her. He's barely left her side since she collapsed at the church.
Phyllis: What's going on, Jack? Why won't you take me home?
