Episode # 10500 ~ Victoria is consumed by her jealousy; Kelly talks to Sharon about Phyllis; Neil has unexpected news for Hilary.

Provided By Suzanne

Kelly: Pretty.

Jack: I couldn't agree more. I'm kind of surprised to find you alone. I thought you might be with your mom.

Kelly: Why?

Jack: She is staying upstairs here.

Kelly: I haven't seen her. I've been busy.

Jack: You haven't called her?

Kelly: Extremely busy. Okay. I haven't been that busy. But she is the one who showed up unannounced. I mean, maybe I'll run in to her, but I'm not gonna seek her out.

Jack: I realize things have been difficult with you and Maureen, but you're gonna have to deal with her sometime.

Kelly: I am dealing... from a distance.

Jack: I told you I would be glad to go with you to have a face-to-face, intimate, honest conversation with her.

Kelly: Jack, maybe I don't want you facing her face, either.

Jack: Why not?

Kelly: Because, my love, whither my mother goes, trouble follows.

Maureen: Hey!

Stitch: Hey, ma.

Maureen: It's nice that you live so close, you can visit.

Stitch: Well, I-I have a work thing. I can't stay long.

Maureen: Oh. So, why'd you come?

Stitch: [Sighs] Yesterday when I told you you didn't have to stick around, you said you were planning on staying for a while.

Maureen: I'd like to stay for the birth of the baby.

Stitch: I think there's another reason.

Maureen: Of course there is, honey.

Billy: Hey, Victoria.

Victoria: Hi, Billy. [Sighing] Oh. Well, look who's back in town.

Nick: So, how soon?

Sharon: Well, just as soon as we can organize a wedding.

Nick: What do we need to organize? You could throw on a dress, I'll put on a suit, we'll head on down to city hall, and lock this thing down. I'll even drive.

Sharon: Oh, gee. That's a nice offer. But, nick, I think we should put a little more effort into it than that.

Nick: We can stop for flowers on the way.

Sharon: Nick, stop. Just because I want to throw this together quickly doesn't mean that I want a quickie wedding. You know what I mean?

Nick: I'm gonna pretend to.

Sharon: I think that we should do this in front of people who matter to us. I mean, there's no reason why we should hide our relationship in some dark corner of city hall, right?

Nick: You're right.

Sharon: Okay. So, then, there are a few things to organize, but it will be painless, I promise. We need a venue, we need invitations, and a cake.

Nick: Okay, just as long as you can tear yourself away from wedding planning so we can have dinner with our children this evening.

Sharon: I will be back in plenty of time to tell the kids.

Nick: Okay, and then after dinner, what's for dessert?

[Knock on door]

Sharon: I'll get that on the way out.

Nick: Okay.

Nikki: Hi, Sharon. How are you?

Sharon: I'm fabulous, thank you. Come on in. Nick's right here.

Nikki: Thank you.

Sharon: I have to go. I'll see you guys later.

Nikki: Okay.

Nick: Bye.

Nikki: Hi, darling.

Nick: Hey, Mom. What's going on?

Nikki: Oh, nothing. Just haven't had a chance to speak to you privately since I heard about your engagement.

Nick: Well, what is there left to say, except "congratulations"?

Hilary: A divorce? Neil, why? This -- is this about lily? Like, did she say something?

Neil: Why would you say that?

Hilary: She was just here, and you weren't talking about this before she left.

Neil: Hilary, this has nothing to do with my daughter. There are facts here that I can't ignore.

Hilary: Facts?

Neil: You and I both know that this isn't gonna work out. And we both know why.

Hilary: You think I don't love you? Because I do.

Neil: I know. I know you do. I know that.

Hilary: Okay. So, then, you don't love me anymore?

Neil: How can you say that?

Hilary: You want to divorce me.

Hilary: It's because I love you that I'm willing to let you go, Hilary.

Hilary: This is about your eyes, isn't it?

Neil: Listen, you didn't sign up for a life like this.

Hilary: I signed up for a life with you.

Neil: Yes, but not with me like this. You deserve so much better.

Hilary: What about what you deserve, Neil? What about being certain that we would get through this together?

Neil: All right. That was before, when I thought that I was actually gonna get my vision back. [Sighs] This could be permanent. Hilary, I -- now, right now, this isn't the kind of life that you should be living.

Hilary: This is the life that I wanted!

Neil: That you wanted?

Hilary: This is the life that I want -- being married to you, Neil, loving you, living with you.

Neil: Yeah, right -- looking after me.

Hilary: Do you think I mind that?

Neil: Hilary, you should be having an exciting and vibrant life.

Hilary: We still can!

Neil: With someone who is young and vital.

Hilary: Like you.

Neil: No! Someone who can see! Someone who can see you -- someone who can see you for the beautiful lady that you are.

Hilary: You think that's all I want -- to be seen? Who do you think I am?

Neil: I think that you're a very beautiful, generous, loving wife. I'm not gonna think less of you if you walk out of this door and leave this marriage.

Hilary: I would think less of me!

Neil: All right. All right.

Hilary: So, we're okay?

Neil: What do you want most?

Hilary: I want to make you happy.

Neil: And what would make me happy is seeing you happy, seeing you free...

Hilary: No.

Neil: ...To find happiness with someone else.

Hilary: I can't!

Neil: Make me happy! I want you to leave me.

Jack: You are staring at that rose like it's gonna bite you.

Kelly: That's because I suspect it's operating under an assumed name.

Jack: Like "tulip"?

Kelly: Like ploy to get me to open up about my mother.

Jack: See, I thought you were so crazy about me, you might do that on your own.

Kelly: Tsk, tsk, tsk. Sneaky.

Jack: Let me help.

Kelly: You can't. My mother and I will never get along.

Jack: You said that about your brother.

Kelly: That's different. My mother and I were never close to begin with.

Jack: Come on. She's trying. She's reaching out.

Kelly: That was an act. She's...

Jack: Go ahead. Finish that.

Kelly: I will never trust her. What are you thinking?

Jack: I am just thinking how amazing it is that you bounce so well.

Kelly: I beg your pardon?

Jack: Well, life's taken more than a few swipes at you. You lost your father, lost your son, lost your marriage, and still you fought back.

Kelly: Bounced.

Jack: And then there's that other thing about you that's both admirable and maybe a little scary.

Kelly: Which is?

Jack: You walk away.

Kelly: I do not.

Jack: You walked away from your ex-husband...

Kelly: Well, Jack, that was mutual.

Jack: ...And your brother...

Kelly: That was justifiable, given what he did.

Jack: ...And Billy...

Kelly: That was a moment in time. That was nothing lasting.

Jack: ...And now your mother. I can't help but wonder if we run in to a bump if you'll find it easy to walk away from me.

Kelly: What can I do?

Jack: Let me in.

Kelly: [Sighs] Okay. Look, even before I went away to boarding school, my mother was distant from me.

Jack: And not with Ben?

Kelly: No. Just me. And the way that she acted after my father died, it was -- it was disappointing.

Jack: You mean the way she sided with Ben after your father was killed?

Kelly: My father was her husband. He gave her a wonderful life. He had two children with her.

Jack: Everyone grieves differently.

Kelly: This is different. This is -- it was like she didn't miss him, like... I pored over pictures of him after he died. I wanted to be surrounded by his things.

Jack: Just to feel close to him?

Kelly: Yes, and she couldn't care less about his shirts or his voicemails or his side of the bed. She didn't miss him. He didn't matter. Do you understand? I cannot be disappointed by that woman one more time in my life, okay? It just upsets me far too much.

Sharon: Kelly! Just the person I was looking for. Hi, Jack.

Jack: Wow! You look happy!

Sharon: I am. I wanted to look into booking an event for the club.

Kelly: Oh.

Jack: What's the occasion?

Sharon: My wedding reception.

Kelly: Ohh!

Jack: You and nick?

Sharon: We're tying the knot again.

Kelly: Wow! Well, best wishes to the bride!

Sharon: Thank you.

Jack: Fantastic. Good for you. After everything you and nick have been through, the love you two have -- it lasts.

Sharon: Mm-hmm.

Stitch: I told you I have everything under control.

Maureen: I believe you.

Stitch: Then why are you staying?

Maureen: I told you -- I want to spend time with you and Kelly.

Stitch: Really? You're gonna stick to that story?

Maureen: Look, I'd like to stay long enough to at least catch a glimpse of the business lives my kids have created. And you're gonna have a baby!

Stitch: [Scoffs] Maybe.

Maureen: And -- and Kelly is making this life with a wonderful man. I'd really like to mend fences with Kelly.

Stitch: That could take some work.

Maureen: We'll see how it goes. I feel so bad that the past has come back to hurt you now.

Stitch: Don't worry. That's on me.

Maureen: [Sighs] Honey, I -- all our lives changed that day.

Stitch: All we can do is try to move forward the best we can. Look, I-I got to go.

Maureen: Okay. Have a good day.

Stitch: All right.

Jack: Hello, stitch.

Maureen: Oh. Uh, are -- are you here to see me?

Jack: Yes, I am.

Stitch: You later, ma.

Maureen: Okay. Please, yes. Is Kelly gonna join us?

Jack: No. Actually, I've got a few things I need to say to you myself.

Chelsea: We were just --

Billy: It's okay, Chels. We don't have to explain anything to Victoria. I signed papers to that effect.

Victoria: Billy's right. We're free to do whatever we want with our personal lives now.

Billy: Oh, by the way, Johnny was really excited about gym class today. He kept yelling, "free play!" All the way over in the car.

Victoria: Oh, yeah. I completely forgot. That -- that's after gym class. I guess I'll have to figure out something to do with myself until then.

Stitch: [Sighs]

Nick: Well, you accepted the news so easily, I thought maybe you were just trying to keep the peace, as usual.

Nikki: Well, darling, you know I will always have reservations about Sharon.

Nick: Mom.

Nikki: But she has been a lot better lately. She's making you happy, and she's been a good mother.

Nick: Thank you for noticing.

Nikki: Well, I have noticed that, and I know from personal experience how difficult it can be when you feel that things are slipping away in your life.

Nick: Mom?

Nikki: I...really hope that the two of you stay as happy as you are right now.

Nick: We will. What about your happiness?

Nikki: I'm fine.

Nick: Well, you seem a little preoccupied, jittery. Is -- I mean, what's going on?

Nikki: There is nothing going on with me! I wish you and everybody would just back off!

Stitch: Well, hi, everyone.

Abby: You're early.

Stitch: You're late.

Abby: Well, and I'm here, so that's all that matters, right? And look -- everyone else is here, too.

Billy: What could you and stitch possibly have to be meeting about?

Abby: Business.

Billy: Jabot?

Stitch: Ashley hired me as her new chemist.

Billy: You're the new chemist?

Stitch: Oh, Jack didn't tell you yet?

Billy: I haven't seen my brother lately. I guess I need to check my e-mails.

Chelsea: Congratulations.

Abby: I'm still getting used to the idea of our new employee, but, uncle Billy, you're just gonna have to get used to it. You and stitch will be roaming the same halls.

Victoria: Abby, have you heard that nick and Sharon are getting remarried?

Abby: Nick called, but I got busy. Did you talk to him?

Victoria: Um, yeah. Actually, we had a very long conversation.

Abby: And what did he say?

Victoria: That, despite all of his ups and downs with Sharon, that he's never stopped loving her or stopped wanting to have a real family together.

Nick: Sorry. I didn't mean to upset you.

Nikki: No, no. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you. I've just been on edge lately with that madman loose and dealing with the press, and your father is constantly checking on me.

Nick: Well, I hate seeing the toll this is taking on you, mom.

Nikki: What is it they say? It'll only make me stronger.

Nick: I have no doubt.

Nikki: Well... uh-oh. Who's here?

Nick: There they are.

Faith: Grandma!

Nikki: No way! Hey! How are you, sweetheart? It's so good to see you. Ohh.

Noah: How are you?

Nikki: Well, I'm fine now that I've seen you. But, unfortunately, I have to go. I'm so sorry. I'll see you soon, though, okay?

Noah: Okay. Love you.

Nikki: Love you, too. You be good.

Faith: Bye, grandma!

Nikki: Okay.

Nick: Thanks for coming by. Love you.

Nikki: Bye-bye.

Nick: All right! How was school?

Faith: Peyton invited me to dinner. Can I go?

Nick: Sorry. No. We're having a family dinner tonight.

Noah: Too bad, kid. Sorry.

Nick: You included.

Noah: I have plans.

Nick: Not anymore.

Faith: But Peyton's having movie night with hot dogs and popcorn.

Nick: Yeah, I understand, kiddo, but this dinner's kind of important.

Noah: Is something wrong?

Nick: No. Everything's fine.

Faith: So, it's a good dinner?

Nick: It's the best kind of dinner.

Noah: What's really going on, dad?

Nick: You know, let's -- let's wait for your mom.

Faith: Mommy's bringing us something?

Nick: I just don't want to ruin the surprise, okay?

Faith: Is it a puppy?

Nick: It's not a puppy.

Faith: Is it something better?

Nick: Just --

Noah: Are you and mom getting married?

Sharon: So, just a small reception -- our family and our closest friends.

Kelly: Sure. How much lead time?

Sharon: Do you think you can get us in? Is there any space available?

Kelly: Maybe in one of our smaller private dining rooms.

Sharon: Oh, yeah! That's perfect!

Kelly: Okay, great! Um, have you given any thought to the menu that you might like?

Sharon: I really haven't even gotten to that yet.

Kelly: You know what? Let me e-mail you some of our menus, along with information on our other vendors.

Sharon: Like florists?

Kelly: Yes. Yes. We have someone make these just gorgeous arrangements.

Sharon: Oh, that's great!

Kelly: Yes.

Sharon: But is there anything better than a single rose from someone who loves you?

Kelly: No. There really isn't.

Sharon: Kelly, I know that we don't know each other that well, but I just have to say something. I've seen what you've brought to Jack's life, and I'm thrilled that you helped him find happiness again.

Kelly: Well, I hope I have... because Jack has brought more to my life than... I ever thought possible.

Jack: I'm just hoping to have a chance to get to know the mother of the woman I love.

Maureen: Oh. Well, then, you will. Let's sit and talk.

Jack: Maureen, it seems that your visit was going to be a great opportunity to heal some old wounds. Unfortunately...

Maureen: Oh. My -- my visit has upset Kelly.

Jack: I'm afraid so.

Maureen: Sorry about that. I really, really didn't want that to happen.

Jack: Well, I don't want Kelly to be hurt, and I thought if you could help me understand a few things...

Maureen: What things?

Jack: Well, like why you chose now to come and visit.

Maureen: My part-time job ended, and I took advantage of that off time to come make up for lost time with my kids.

Jack: And that lost time was triggered by what -- by the death of your husband?

Maureen: Some. Y-- what -- what -- do -- do you have kids, Jack?

Jack: I do.

Maureen: Okay. So -- so, maybe you'll understand this. You know, you do the best you can for your kids, and, at the same time, you try to create your own life for yourself. And sometimes those two roads do not actually come close to each other. I can tell by the look on your face that you understand, so -- oh, I am so sorry. I haven't offered you a drink.

Jack: No, thank you. Maureen, I know this is a difficult subject, but... Kelly still has a lot of questions, and I was hoping that perhaps you could give her the answers she needs.

Maureen: I wish I could help Kelly make sense of what happened to her dad, to our whole family.

Jack: Why can't you?

Maureen: I mean, h-h-how was I supposed to deal with my husband being killed by one of my children? It was horrible! It was a terrible, terrible tragedy. I worked very hard to put that behind me, and so has Ben.

Jack: And so has Kelly.

Maureen: I know that. Do you think I don't know that?

Jack: When you mentioned that, though, Kelly is almost an afterthought.

Maureen: Kelly is my firstborn. She's my baby girl. And the minute she was born, every thought about her was how to protect her and -- Kelly's a strong girl. She pulled herself through the loss of her son. And look at the life that she has made for herself here, hmm?

Jack: But what happened to her --

Maureen: Is past. You know, what Kelly can do best now is concentrate on all the good things she has in front of her, and you can help her do that, Jack.

Jack: I can promise you I'll do everything I can to help Kelly.

Maureen: Thank you, Jack.

Jack: And I hope we will have a chance to talk again before you leave town.

Maureen: I look forward to it. Thank you.

Jack: Thank you.

Maureen: Oh. Oh. This is a nice surprise. Uh, please.

Nikki: Thank you.

Maureen: What a nice visit.

Nikki: Um... I just wanted to make sure that you understood why I used an assumed name when we met. I-I just wanted to explain that.

Maureen: Oh, there's no -- I totally understood when we talked earlier, really, and from now on, anytime our paths crossed, I will call you by your God-given name, Nikki.

Nikki: Oh, I wasn't under the -- how long are you planning on staying in Genoa City?

Maureen: I-I don't know. I-I know we don't know each other all that well, but... a-are you -- are you -- are you all right?

Nikki: Well, I'm not sure I know what you mean.

Maureen: Why -- why -- why are you so nervous?

Stitch: Maybe it would have been better to meet at Jabot, you know?

Abby: And miss this sunshine? Who knows if we're in for another polar vortex this winter? Okay. So, what are the updates -- updates on the renovation?

Stitch: Well, it's taken longer than expected to outfit the lab to Ashley's specifications, you know, but it should be ready anytime.

Abby: Wait. Were those the contractors' words -- "anytime"?

Stitch: Exact quote. It's frustrating. Ashley wants me to start testing the fragrance right away, and I'm anxious to get to work.

Abby: All right. Well, maybe I can call the contractor and give them a managerial push.

Stitch: Suddenly, I feel for the guy.

Abby: As you should. [Chuckles] My mom's concerned?

Stitch: About the scent. She thinks it's not quite right. That's why she wants me to keep playing with it.

Abby: That's why she wants me in on all the testing.

Stitch: Whoa, whoa, whoa. You, in my lab?

Abby: Yes. I will be wherever I need to be to offer my opinion while this product is being developed. Consider us partners.

Stitch: If that's what Ashley wants, fine.

Abby: You know what? Do you think I am thrilled to be hanging out with you and all of your chemicals? No, I'm not.

Stitch: Okay. Just keep your nose in the fragrance and out of my business and it shouldn't be a problem.

Abby: Fantastic.

Stitch: Fantastic.

Chelsea: Well, it's been real bumping into everybody like this.

Billy: Yeah. I can't believe the timing.

Chelsea: It wasn't your fault Victoria walked in when she did. [Sighs] Are you okay?

Billy: Yeah, I am.

Chelsea: But did it change --

Billy: No. It didn't change my desire to want to figure out what this is.

Chelsea: It's weird, though -- I mean, the fact that we're actually doing this.

Billy: Getting to know each other better, or...?

Chelsea: I mean, hello. Billy, after I had your child, we started off with zero trust.

Billy: And then jumped in to being friends...

Chelsea: With benefits.

Billy: Great benefits.

Chelsea: So, now what?

Billy: Dating.

Chelsea: In public?

Billy: Chels, no more pretending to be something that we're not -- the boundaries, the pressure. Let's just see where this goes.

Neil: This is the best decision for you, Hilary.

Hilary: Whether I like it or not?

Neil: Okay. I'm gonna call lily, and I'm gonna ask her to come back and pick me up, and that's gonna give you some time alone to get your things together, okay?

Hilary: Neil, it's gorgeous.

Neil: I know it's unexpected.

Hilary: You're pretty confident, aren't you?

Neil: Well, I believe in preparing for success. Hilary, I wanted to find a ring as unique as you are. It had to have fire, strength, definitely elegance. And -- oh, yeah -- it had to be gorgeous.

Hilary: [Chuckles] I love it, Neil. I love you.

Hilary: Neil, I won't go. I can't. I will never, never leave you. I'll never leave you.

Neil: Hilary... no. Don't fight me on this.

Hilary: I am fighting you, Neil. We exchanged vows that we would stand by each other for better or worse. I made a promise to you that we would get through this, and that is exactly what we are doing.

Neil: Hilary, we're not getting through this.

Hilary: You are not -- you are not -- gonna push me away. We'll get through this. Now I don't want to hear another word about us ending our marriage.

[Knock on door]

Jack: Hey! Hope you don't mind my dropping by. I wanted to see how Neil's doing.

Hilary: Perfect timing, Jack. I am about to head to the office. Neil...

Neil: Yeah?

Hilary: ...I'll be back in a few hours. Where will you be?

Neil: I'm gonna be right here.

Hilary: Okay. Bye, Jack.

Jack: Bye. Despite what your wife just said, I sense that I've come at a bad time.

Neil: I was trying to let Hilary go.

Sharon: You know I was once married to Jack.

Kelly: Yes. You told me.

Sharon: And we've managed to remain friends, despite that.

Kelly: Well, that's one of the things I love about Jack -- his loyalty to the women who have obviously been important to him.

Sharon: Are you talking about Phyllis now? Not to speak ill of the ill, but I am so delighted that Jack is dating a woman like you.

Kelly: [Chuckles] Thank you. I heard there was quite a history between you and Phyllis.

Sharon: Yeah. My dealings with Phyllis have been pretty historical.

Kelly: [Chuckles] You know, I was wondering, um... you know what? Never mind. I'm sorry.

Sharon: No, it's fine. Ask me.

Kelly: After Phyllis moved on from nick and was committed to Jack, did the two of you ever get to a decent place? What were things like between you before the accident?

Sharon: Things were never good between us. But...I don't really remember where we left things.

Kelly: I'm so sorry. I've made you uncomfortable.

Sharon: No, you didn't.

Kelly: Well, back to wedding plans, then?

Sharon: Mm-hmm.

Kelly: Okay.

Nick: All right. What do you guys want for dinner?

Faith: Is it true?! Is it true, daddy?! Noah, do you think it's true?

Noah: Why aren't you denying it?

Nick: No comment.

Noah: Look, the way I see it, you got two options. You either spill the beans or you spend the next several hours being badgered by...

Faith: Daddy, please tell me! Please, please, please, please, please, please, please!

Nick: Okay! Okay! Okay! Your mom is gonna be so mad at me. We were supposed to tell you together. I'm in trouble, and we're not even married yet.

Noah: Not married...yet?

Nick: It's true. Your mother and I are engaged.

Faith: Yes! This is the best news ever!

Noah: Congratulations, dad.

Nick: Oh, thanks, guys. Thank you.

Faith: And you know what else?

Nick: What?

Faith: Since you and mommy are getting married, I won't be a love child anymore.

Billy: I'm gonna go check on Johnny and give him a kiss goodbye.

Chelsea: All right. Meet you downstairs?

Billy: Sounds good.

Victoria: I bet you could barely wait for the ink to dry on my divorce papers.

Chelsea: Okay, I really don't feel like fighting with you, Victoria.

Victoria: Well, neither do I, but I'm just calling it like I see it, and what I see is a woman who moves really fast.

Chelsea: You can't have it both ways, you know. You don't want Billy for yourself, but you don't want someone else to have him, either.

Victoria: No, not someone like you.

Chelsea: You made your single bed. Now sleep in it.

Stitch: All right. You'll get a firm date on when we can get in the lab?

Abby: Yeah, you do that.

Victoria: You know, I find it fascinating that for months you've just been pretending to help Billy save our marriage.

Chelsea: I was trying to help.

Abby: Um, excuse me.

Victoria: Yeah. Help yourself to my husband.

Chelsea: After you dumped him!

Victoria: While we were still married.

Chelsea: While you were sleeping with stitch.

Abby: Okay, unless you guys want to land on the cover of the

GC buzz, you need to cool it. Don't you have a dress to go sew or something?

Chelsea: Or something.

Abby: No need to thank me, sis. I am always here for you.

Victoria: Really, sis? Because from where I was sitting right here, it looks like you were flirting with Ben.

Nick: So, how are you with this, really?

Noah: I'm happy for you guys.

Nick: Well, I know you had some doubts.

Nick: I just -- I wanted to make sure that mom was stable enough for you guys to be in a relationship again.

Nick: Well, what a difference a year makes, huh?

Noah: Yeah. She was a mess back then, you know? She was always worried about you and Avery getting married and doing reckless things like running red lights.

Nick: Oh, yeah. I forgot about that traffic violation. We came across that a few months ago.

Noah: Did it spook her?

Nick: Well, she thought it was what she was trying to remember and she was afraid to tell me.

Noah: Was it?

Nick: I don't know, and I don't care. I mean, Sharon and I are not worried about that secret anymore. We are together now, and nothing is gonna break us apart.

Sharon: Oh, Hilary, hey. I have good news.

Hilary: Hey.

Sharon: Are you okay? What's wrong? Is it Neil? Is he all right?

Hilary: Just a rough day.

Sharon: Well, if you need a friend to talk to, I'm here. I'm ready to listen.

Neil: I mean, you do agree with me, don't you, Jack, that it would be best for Hilary to leave me?

Jack: I'll be honest with you -- I am blown away that you would even consider the possibility.

Neil: Well, let me tell you why. I'm thinking about my wife.

Jack: I realize you think this is a noble effort on your part, but I also know how good you and Hilary are together, unless --

Neil: Unless what?

Jack: Unless your wife has given you some reason to think she doesn't want to be here.

Neil: Well, let me count the ways. I mean, she's devoted. She's determined. She's encouraging. She's loving. Come on.

Jack: And you told her to go away?

Neil: She -- she refuses to leave.

Jack: Okay. So, this is not about Hilary.

Neil: No, of course it is, Jack. I'm trying to --

Jack: You're trying to tell me this is about your wife. This is about you and your fears and your frustrations.

Neil: Why would a beautiful woman want to be with a man like me? I can't even see, Jack.

Jack: Because she's crazy about you, Neil.

Neil: [Sighs] I can't let her stay.

Jack: So, which is worse -- believing that Hilary is staying out of pity or forcing a woman away who loves you, who may love you every bit as deeply as you love her?

Nikki: I know you -- you said that you would keep this between just us, but --

Maureen: Oh. I'm just some woman you met in a bar. Yeah, I understand.

Nikki: Can I really trust you, Maureen?

Maureen: I swear on my soul, you got nothing to worry about. Anything that's said between us stays between you and me.

Nikki: Well, thank you. Thank you. I mean... the tabloids -- you know, they just jump at any little thing.

Maureen: Oh, like drinking?

Nikki: That is a prime example of something being overblown. Just because I need a break from the pressures of being Mrs. Victor Newman from time to time...

Maureen: That must be so hard. I mean, to be watched like that all the time? And I bet it's awfully lonely, too.

Nikki: Yeah, it -- it can be.

Maureen: Yeah. I know what it feels like to be alone, especially when my kids lived further away. But not there's gonna be a baby, and there's nothing better than a baby.

Nikki: That's so true.

Maureen: You just got to keep focused on the positive things in life. So, sure, you must have something else terrific going on in your life right now.

Nikki: Well, uh, my son Nicholas is engaged.

Maureen: Perfect! Perfect! That's a wonderful thing to celebrate. Let us toast our kids' good fortune.

Nikki: No.

Maureen: Oh, my God. I'm so sorry. Oh, I-I-I totally forgot that you don't really drink.

Faith: Noah, come see the card I'm making for the wedding!

Noah: Okay, kiddo! I'll be right there! Well, if nothing else, your impending marriage has made that little girl very, very happy.

Nick: I know how she feels.

Noah: All right! Let's see what you got!

Hilary: Thanks for offering a shoulder to lean on, Sharon, but I'll be fine.

Sharon: Are you sure?

Hilary: Yeah. Neil and I will get through this. But, hey, you said that you had good news.

Sharon: Yeah. Nick and I are getting remarried.

Hilary: Oh, my God! Congratulations!

Sharon: Thank you. Yeah, I, um...get to spend the rest of my life with the man I love.

Jack: Neil, I remember the pain and anger and frustration of someone telling me I would never walk again.

Neil: How did you get through it?

Jack: By fighting to get through it, with the help and care and courage of my loved ones.

Neil: [Sighs] Jack, this is -- this is so difficult!

Jack: It is. It's very difficult. But I hope this is the last time you will even contemplate divorce. Neil, you should be embracing your wife's support, not pushing it away.

Neil: You're right. I went about this all wrong, didn't I?

Billy: About our first date -- I was thinking I might go more traditional -- bring you a corsage or something.

Chelsea: [Laughing] Oh. Or not.

Billy: And then I could ask your mother for permission beforehand.

Chelsea: Oh, God, no. Definitely don't do that.

Billy: You're putting the kibosh on all my ideas here.

Chelsea: I'm only putting the kibosh on the lame ones, so no more of those, please.

Billy: No more lame ideas? I don't think I can guarantee that.

Chelsea: I'm really looking forward to this, Billy.

Billy: Yeah. Me too. Look at what we've made out of a rotten beginning. Imagine what we could do with a great one.

Abby: There is zero, zip, zilch happening between me and stitch. Do you really think I would hit on him?

Victoria: I am sorry, Abby. I don't know what's wrong with me. I guess it's just the hormones.

Abby: I think you're freaking out a little bit because of this whole Billy-Chelsea thing, but, trust me, you have nothing to worry about. Chelsea cannot compete with you.

Victoria: I don't know about that, but seeing them together has definitely stiffened my resolve to get over Billy.

Abby: Keep an open mind. I don't buy that you're completely over him.

Victoria: Abby, we're divorced.

Abby: Despite the divorce. And I really hope that you don't go back to stitch just because he's available.

Victoria: I can tell you right now that's definitely never going to happen.

Kelly: I got your text. What's up?

Stitch: I was leaving mom's earlier, and Jack showed up to see her.

Kelly: Ohh. I wish he hadn't done that. But I'm sure he meant well.

Stitch: I'm sure he's trying to look out for you, but I wish he wouldn't get involved in this by stirring things up with mom.

Maureen: Nikki, I'm so sorry for suggesting you have a cocktail. Would you like a soda? Some iced tea? A lemonade, maybe?

Nikki: Well, one drink can't hurt.

Maureen: Thatagirl. Cheers.

Nikki: Cheers.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Victor: You have nothing to report to me?

Dr. Cutler: Actually, I do.

Austin: I can't live like this, Summer.

Summer: I had no idea that you were so unhappy.

Sharon: I can't hide it anymore. I have to tell you my secret.
