Episode # 10461 ~ As Nikki's trial begins, tensions increase between Paul & Christine; Kevin discovers something about Stitch.

[Door closes]
Anita: Hi, honey.
Chelsea: Mom. What is wrong with you?
Anita: With me? You're the one that nearly jumped out of your skin.
Anita: Did I or did I not tell you? You have to ring the doorbell next time you come.
Anita: Okay. Next time, I will.
Chelsea: I meant this time.
Anita: Well, why didn't you say so?
Chelsea: [Sighs] Geez.
Anita: Well, aren't you the sneaky one? I thought you said you stopped investigating Dr. Rayburn.
Chelsea: Give me that.
Anita: Don't you realize the more dirt you dig up on stitch the more reason you give to Victoria to go back to Billy? I mean, why not just drop it?
Chelsea: I can't. Not after what I found out.
Anita: What could be so terrible? It's not like the guy's a killer. No. Not Dr. Delicious.
Chelsea: I have proof, and I'm not sure I can keep it from Billy.
Stitch: Hey, did I catch you at a bad time?
Victoria: No, um, I'm just straightening up the house. Getting a bunch of things squared away before I head over to the hospital later.
Stitch: Well, that's why I was calling. Um, figured I'd check in, see if you want anyone to go with you.
Victoria: What? It's just a paternity test.
Stitch: Oh, just a little thing like that?
Victoria: I meant it's non-invasive. The baby and I will be fine.
Stitch: Sure you don't want someone to go with you? I don't know. I can tell you bad jokes while they draw your blood.
Victoria: Well, if I wanted that, I would have asked Billy to come along. I'm sorry. Um... look, I don't mean to cut you out. Uh, I just -- you know, I feel more comfortable doing this on my own.
Stitch: Then that's how it'll be. I want to do whatever's best for you.
Victoria: I knew you'd understand. And I'll call you as soon as I get the results.
Stitch: Well, I will make sure I have my ringer on full blast. That is one phone call I do not want to miss.
[Doorbell rings]
Victoria: Uh, somebody's at the door. I better -- better go.
Stitch: No problem. Take care.
Victoria: Okay. Bye.
Billy: Hey, welcome home. How was your trip?
Victoria: I really can't get into that right now. I'm busy.
Billy: I know. Today's the day. In another few hours, we find out who the baby's father is.
Dylan: All right. Grande chai latte with a double shot of curcumin. No, no, no, no. That's the wrong...drink.
Kevin: Ugh. Now you tell me? I feel like I just swallowed India.
Dylan: This one is yours.
Kevin: I ordered an espresso?
Dylan: And I thought my mind was somewhere else. You want to talk about it?
Kevin: Uh... you know, it's not really a good time.
Stitch: [Chuckles] What is with the new dress code? What, are you trying to attract better clientele?
Dylan: Uh, actually, it's for court. I'm testifying in Ian ward's civil suit against Nikki.
Stitch: Are you kidding? He's putting you through that?
Dylan: Ian's idea of entertainment.
Kevin: It's a shame you got dragged into all that. How about you, stitch? Have you ever had to testify in court?
Paul: Well, as you know, as a public official, it is not always advisable to give a personal opinion. But I am confident that the judge in this case will see the lawsuit against Nikki Newman for exactly what it is -- a blatant attempt to extort money from her by Mr. Ward. Well, no, I don't have any comment about Dylan McAvoy testifying. Right. I can't believe you just asked me that. It's totally irrelevant. Well, finding out that Dylan is my son has no bearing on how I feel about Ricky. You know what, Mr. Carson? This interview is over. Thank you very much. [Slams telephone]
Christine: Another tabloid?
Paul: Oh, hi. They just won't leave me alone.
Christine: I don't know why you even take those calls.
Paul: Well, you know what? That is a very good question. I was mistaken in thinking that bringing out the truth about Ian might help Nikki's cause. But there's nothing wrong with helping a friend, right?
Christine: Well, when it puts your recovery at risk, yeah, there's a lot wrong with it. You need to stop putting Nikki first and start thinking about yourself for a change.
Nikki: Okay, and then you'll call my character witnesses.
Michael: Yes, yes. You've got a lot of friends out there. You've got a lot of support. Unfortunately, that's not enough.
Nikki: I know. So, you're gonna have to bring out the journal, and, uh...let the jury hear, in my own words, why I believed Ian was the baby's father.
Michael: Yes. The journal. Obviously, I have read it thoroughly now.
Nikki: Michael, please remember I was a totally different person when I wrote this.
Michael: I would never judge you.
Nikki: Well, others will.
Michael: Ian and his attorney will have total access to every word you wrote in this. And not just the ones that support our case.
Nikki: I haven't forgotten that.
Michael: I have to ask you this one more time. Are you prepared to have every detail of your private life out there for the whole world to hear?
Nikki: I tell you, I would love nothing more than to keep this journal out of it. And to have my thoughts aired in public -- [Sighs] It's embarrassing. It's humiliating. Ian has managed to violate me again. And this time, it's gonna hurt other people, too, especially Dylan.
Michael: You can prevent that.
Nikki: Is this my only shot at defeating Ian?
Michael: Frankly, yes.
Nikki: Do it. I will just prepare myself to be dragged through the mud.
Victoria: If you're here to see Johnny, you're out of luck, 'cause he's at a play date.
Billy: That's a good call, keeping him somewhere else today, so that you can focus on you and little B.J.
Victoria: And by B.J., I assume you mean Billy, junior.
Billy: Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
Victoria: So does Ben, junior.
Billy: Uh, the cadence is all wrong. It doesn't really flow off the tongue like "Billy, junior."
Victoria: [Sighs] Okay, well, this is getting us nowhere, and I have a lot to do before my appointment.
Billy: Mind if I tag along?
Victoria: Why, so you can bother me there as much as you're bothering me here?
Billy: I like to think of it as being more along the lines of looking after you.
Victoria: Please, Billy. You only know how to look out for yourself.
Billy: That is not true. I can name any number of times that I've been there for you.
Victoria: And I can name any number of times when you haven't.
Billy: I just don't want to see you face this test alone.
Victoria: I won't be alone. Ben's going with me.
Kevin: Did I say something wrong?
Stitch: No. No, no, it's just, uh, I wasn't expecting your question. [Chuckles] It's not every day somebody asks you if you've testified in court.
Kevin: Oh, I-I was just making conversation. Seeing as how we were talking about trials and all -- a subject I find fascinating, by the way. Probably since I've had a few of my own, you know? [Chuckles]
Stitch: I didn't realize that.
Kevin: Oh, yeah. Even committed a crime so serious I ended up doing time. Good thing for you I'm reformed now. [Chuckles]
Dylan: Kevin, is there a point to this, or is this just a distraction from your distraction? Kevin's a little distracted.
Kevin: Got something on my mind. It's bringing me down. You know how that goes.
Stitch: Who doesn't?
Kevin: Anyway, it's my wife. Well, soon to be my ex-wife. I did something that really hurt her, and she just can't seem to forgive me.
Stitch: I'm sorry to hear that.
Kevin: Thanks. That's what happens when you mess with the law, right? Try as you might, you just cannot escape the consequences. Anyway, I better drink this before it gets too cold. Thanks.
Dylan: You okay?
Stitch: Yeah, yeah. Fine. [Chuckles]
Anita: Are you sure?'
Chelsea: It's all true -- every detail I just told you.
Anita: But stitch is such a gentleman... and gorgeous as all get out. He just doesn't seem like the murdering type.
Chelsea: Well, now you see why I have to tell Billy. I mean, it was one thing when Stitch was guilty of was an affair, but this?
Anita: But this is a matter of life and death, Chelsea. Which is exactly why you cannot breathe a word, I mean, unless you want to give stitch a reason to kill again -- to hurt me.
Anita: I do not believe you just said that.
Chelsea: Well, that murder was years ago, and all indications show that he really turned his life around.
Anita: Didn't all the jobs we had teach you anything about human nature? You never know what happens behind closed doors. And I'm not gonna let you find out.
Chelsea: You can't stop me from sharing this information with Billy.
Anita: Fine. But don't come crying to me from beyond the grave when co is forced to grow up without a daddy.
Chelsea: God forbid. That's not gonna happen.
Anita: [Sighs] If you're so sure that this Dr. Whoever is an upstanding citizen now, then why open your mouth?
Chelsea: Because it's the right thing to do, Mom.
Anita: No. The right thing to do is for you to be with a man that puts a sparkle in your eyes, and from all I can see, that man is Billy.
Chelsea: Billy is in love with Victoria.
Anita: Why would he be with that wet fish when he could be with my baby girl?
Chelsea: Mom! [Chuckles]
Anita: You know, after all you've been through, you deserve something good. I'm rooting for a happy ending. I mean, what is so wrong with that? Hmm?
Billy: Why even bother to take the test if you've already made up your mind that stitch is the father?
Victoria: Look, just because he's coming with me doesn't mean anything --
Billy: Wait, wait, wait. You're gonna cut me out of your life no matter what the results say, aren't you?
Victoria: Why would you even care? You're so busy fact finding with Chelsea.
Billy: Oh -- she has nothing to do with this.
Victoria: Oh, really? I-I imagine she is praying that this baby is Ben's so that she can have you all to herself.
Billy: Chelsea wants me to be happy, unlike you who seems to want to put me through hell.
Victoria: You are blowing this way out of proportion.
Billy: No, I'm not. Not when you're asking me to take a back seat to a paternity test that I have a huge stake in. And I'll tell you this -- if this baby turns out to be mine, I'm gonna be front and center in my child's life, just like I always have been.
Victoria: I would never keep you away from your child, if it is, in fact, your child. But like it or not, the divorce is going through, and Ben is gonna be a significant part of my life and my f
Billy: [Scoffs] You've already begun to erase me. I'm surprised you held on to this one.
Victoria: I think you should go.
Billy: Yeah. Yeah, you're damn right I should.
[Cell phone rings]
Stitch: Hey. Is everything all right?
Victoria: Yeah, everything good. Um... I changed my mind, and I'd love for you to come with me to the appointment. I was just wondering if you could meet me at the club first?
Stitch: [Chuckles] I will be the guy at the table with the big smile on his face.
Victoria: Okay. Bye.
Stitch: Yeah. [Chuckles]
Dylan: Wow. Looks like somebody just g some good news.
Barton: That he did. My protégé is a shoo-in chief resident.
Dylan: Chief resident?
Barton: Yep.
Dylan: Whoa! Hell o
Stitch: [Chuckles]
Dylan: You still gonna talk to me?
Stitch: Well, I haven't gotten the job yet.
Barton: Oh, it's a given. Only one person can screw this up now --
Stitch: [Chuckles]
Paul: Let's not get into this
Christine: I wouldn't have if you hadn't pressed the issue.
[Knock on door]
Harding: You know, it must be nice keeping bankers' hours, but I think somebody has to remind Kevin that he works for the police department, not Genoa City savings and loan.
Paul: What, Kevin's not here yet?
Harding: Mnh-mnh. You think we should put an A.P.B. out on him? Caucasian male, brown hair, beady little eyes that are usually puffy from crying about his wife being shipped off?
Paul: Oh, God. Would it kill you to occasionally be nice?
Harding: To whom?
Paul: Anyone.
Harding: I am to you, chief.
Paul: I know, and when you are, I find that vaguely unsettling.
Harding: Yeah, well, that's why I don't do it very often.
Paul: You're welcome. All right. I'll look into Kevin's whereabouts.
Christine: No, no, no. Detective Harding can do it, right? You can find Kevin? Paul's got enough to deal with without you dumping this in his lap.
Harding: Yeah, no. You're.. she's right. Sorry. I messed -- it won't happen again.
Paul: You know, I'm not an invalid, Chris.
Christine: I just -- I want to make sure it stays that way.
Paul: I appreciate that. But when I feel there is a need for me to involve myself in a certain subject, I will do it. And that includes making sure that Nikki does Ian ward alone.
Christine: [Scoffs] Alone? She'll have half the town holding her hand.
Paul: Well, I'm not gonna do that, but I am going to volunteer as a character witness.
Christine: [Scoffs] Doesn't she have enough of those, as well
Paul: None of them were in new world when she was. I was the only o was going on back then, and because I do, I can testify with the utmost certainty that Nikki did not deliberate about Dylan.
Christine: And I disagree. Nikki is a proven liar.
Paul: [Sighs]
Dylan: On the house in honor of my buddy's promotion.
Stitch: Oh, cool. Does that mean mine's free, too?
Dylan: Heck no. You're making the big bucks now.
Stitch: What?
[Cell phone rings]
Barton: Mm. Excuse me, fellas. I got to take this. Hey, babe.
Leslie: You busy?
Barton: I'm just on a coffee break. What's up?
Leslie: Any chance you could extend it, meet me for lunch? I could really use the support.
Barton: It's a little noisy in here. Let me move somewhere it's quieter. Hold on a second.
Dylan: Seriously, though, congratulations. If anyone deserves the recognition, it's you.
Stitch: Ah.
Dylan: Have you told Victoria yet?
Stitch: Yeah, I told her, but, uh, it's a little lower priority for her right now. Today's the paternity test, so...
Dylan: Oh. You nervous?
Stitch: What do you think?
Dylan: I think it's good that you're getting it done. You're better off knowing from the start who the father is.
Stitch: I still can't believe Chelsea put you through that, and if you ask me, that piece of work got off too easy.
Dylan: Hey, it's okay. Let it go, okay? If I can, so can you.
Chelsea: Don't bundle him too much. It's warm outside.
Anita: As if I need to be reminded on how to take care of a child. I have more experience than you do.
Chelsea: Right, because you spent so much time with me when I was a kid.
Anita: Well, it's the thought that counts.
Chelsea: What's with all these trips to the park with Connor recently anyway?
Anita: Oh, I'm just enjoying being a grandma, that's all. There you go.
Chelsea: Sure. Why don't you tell me what's really going on?
Anita: Okay. Okay, I just -- I found that this little cutie pie is stud bait. I just push the stroller, and all the eligible men in Genoa City come running because they think I'm his young, hot mama. Isn't that right?
Chelsea: You're using my son as a man magnet?
Anita: Well, you're getting some action. Don't you think I should?
Chelsea: Cover your ears! You did not just hear that.
[Knock on doors]
Chelsea: Stop using my son to troll for men. No more. [Chuckles]
Billy: I need to speak to you. You're never gonna believe Victoria's latest. She has topped everything this time. I'm sorry. I didn't know you were busy.
Anita: Uh, no. She's not busy. I am just leaving, and I'm gonna be gone for hours and hours, so you have the whole place to yourself. All right? You enjoy.
Billy: So, are you ready for this? Victoria has taken down n every single picture of me -- well, except one that I'm sure she's using for dart practice. She even had the nerve to cut me out of the paternity test. But guess who's going with her? The oh-so-accommodating stitch Rayburn. I swear -- I think that she's hoping he turns out to be the father. [Sighs] What the hell am I doing?
Paul: Is it really necessary to attack Nikki like this?
Christine: I'm not attacking her. I am simply pointing out facts.
Paul: Oh, that Nikki is a proven liar?
Christine: What else would you call her hiding her pregnancy from you? I mean, you say that you knew all she was going through in new world, but the reality is you were just as much in the dark as the rest of the commune, so how can you possibly vouch for her?
Paul: I can speak to her character. I can explain why she kept the pregnancy a secret.
Christine: Don't you see? That would do more harm than good.
Paul: All I can see is your resentment of Nikki because she and I share a child.
Christine: Paul, any good lawyer is going to use you to play up her questionable decisions, and there were quite a few of them.
Paul: Oh, you just keeping hitting this over the head.
Christine: I am trying to make you realize the mistake you're making. If you insist on taking the stand, you will bury Nikki's chances completely.
Michael: I'm gonna do my best for you in there. I'm gonna counter every offensive move Ian's counsel makes. It's gonna be wonderful.
Nikki: Well, whatever happens, I'll be ready for it.
Michael: You're a remarkable woman.
Nikki: Oh... [Chuckles]
Michael: No. You have the kind of courage that most people can only dream about. Yeah. And when this whole thing is over, I think you're gonna be just fine.
Nikki: I hope you're right.
Michael: Okay. I've got to get down to the courthouse and submit this into evidence. Can I give you a ride?
Nikki: Oh, no. Thank you. Um, I just need a few minutes to decompress.
Michael: Are Victor and the kids gonna meet you down there?
Nikki: Victor is, but, um, I told the kids not to. Like we were saying, Ian's going to say everything he can to disparage me, and I-I would rather spare them that. I wish I could spare Dylan, too, but at least I'm gonna try to prepare him. And, uh...first I have to prepare myself, right? [Sniffles]
Michael: Right.
Nikki: All right. Thank you.
Michael: I'll leave you to it.
Nikki: I'll see you there.
Michael: All right.
What can I get you to drink?
Dylan: Can I help you?
Leslie: Actually, I was hoping to help you.
Dylan: Oh, you've done enough. Thanks.
Leslie: I know you are not thrilled with me, but I may be of some use to you at Nikki's trial today.
Dylan: Oh, is this your way of, uh, trying to clear your conscience after defending Ian?
Leslie: Ian should get what he deserves. So, while you may be testifying for the plaintiff, there are still ways that you can make it clear to the judge whose side you're really on.
Dylan: You know what? I would appreciate any pointers that you could give me. I got a feeling that I'm Nikki's best chance right now.
I make a mean vodka martini. I promise you'll like it.
Nikki: [Chuckles] Thank you, but no.
Christine: You know I'm right about the damage you'll do to Nikki. If you weren't so close to this whole situation, you wouldn't even think of testifying. Look, Paul, you're not her husband, okay? You're not responsible for Nikki's well-being, so do us all a favor and just stay out of it.
Paul: All right. But I'm still going to the courthouse to support her.
Christine: Well, if you're going, I'll go, too. Oh. Well, hey, there, Kevin. Nice of you to join us. You know, I-I would like to apologize if our early hours are upsetting your lifestyle.
Kevin: It won't happen again, chief.
Paul: It won't? Excellent news.
Kevin: [Clears throat]
[Keyboard clacking]
Harding: [Chuckles] It is about time.
Kevin: I just got it from the chief, okay?
Harding: No, it's not okay. You can't just show up whenever you want. People's lives depend on you doing your job.
Kevin: I'm the I.T. guy. It's not like I'm chasing down criminals or rescuing people. I show up late, who cares?
Harding: You know, if you care so little, what are you doing here at all?
Michael: That's a good question. What are you doing, little brother?
Kevin: Not you, too. I-I've got the whole world coming down on me right now, Michael.
Michael: Well, maybe there's a reason for that. Where you been lately? Or, more to the point, what have you been up to?
Victoria: Thank you for, you know, meeting me.
Stitch: [Chuckles] Are you kidding? I think you know all you have to do is ask. Get in there.
Victoria: Thanks. Well, that means a lot, especially today. [Sighs] Not only do I have this test, but my mom's civil suit is this afternoon. I really wish she would have let me come with her.
Stitch: Uh, you understand why she didn't, though, right?
Victoria: She's trying to protect me from all of the awful things that Ian ward is gonna say about her. Like I would ever let that jerk get to me.
Stitch: Still, I'm sure she doesn't want to take a chance at you getting stressed out before your test... uh, not that there's any risk to the baby.
Victoria: Thanks. Well, the only thing I'm nervous about is the result.
Stitch: You know, um... why did you change your mind? About me coming with you?
Victoria: I just decided that I wanted someone there that wasn't gonna put any pressure on me -- you know, someone that I can always count on.
Billy: You've been so supportive, really amazing in every way, and I -- it's not right for me to barge in here and go off on Victoria, keep laying this at your doorstep like this, especially after we --
Chelsea: It's -- it's okay. If you want to talk about Victoria, go right ahead. I'm not gonna be hurt by it. I told you I wasn't gonna put myself in that position.
Billy: You're smart to protect yourself, because, honestly, I can't give you what you need right now.
Chelsea: Right now?
Billy: If this baby turns out to be mine, then I know I've got a shot with Victoria, and I'm gonna take it and run with it.
Chelsea: That's actually really very touching -- how much you love her. It's like the way I love Adam. But just to be clear, I'm under no illusions that this thing with you is anything more than it is. But I do...like what it is.
Billy: So do I. I'm glad we can be honest with each other, and I think as long as we do that, we're gonna be okay.
Nikki: Thank you so much for meeting me here early.
Dylan: I couldn't concentrate.
Nikki: Why don't we go inside while it's still empty so we can sit.
Dylan: Okay, sure.
[Door closes]
Nikki: [Sighs] You'd think after all the times I've been in a courtroom, I-I'd be more used to it by now.
Dylan: I am so sorry that you're being dragged through this.
Nikki: The same goes for you. If there had been anything I could do to avoid you --
Dylan: Don't worry. I plan to make it very clear whose side I'm on. Ian's gonna wish he never subpoenaed me.
Nikki: Well, it's still going to be very unpleasant for you. You're gonna hear a lot of hurt
Dylan: I stopped paying attention to the trash that comes out of that guy's mouth.
Nikki: Well, I'm not talking about Ian. I'm talking about myself.
Dylan: Um, I don't understand.
Nikki: When Paul and I we-- well, when your father and I were at the new world commune, I kept a journal, and Michael's going to use it today in my defense. I wrote a lot in there about how he just had me under his control, and then, how he violated me. A part in there that I don't believe today. But I said that I thought my life would have been easier had never gotten pregnant.
Michael: You haven't been back to California, have you? You haven't been trying to sneak into Chloe's psych hospital again, have you?
Kevin: No. Chloe made it perfectly clear she oo with me. And since I don't feel like having my heart put through a sieve, I stayed away.
Michael: Okay. What's with you being M.I.A. Around here lately? What, are you trying to get fired? You don't like it here anymore or something?
Kevin: Considering that I encece as a way to stay out of prison, it's not exactly my dream job, no. And then I stayed to prove to Chloe I was worthy of her and that I could be a good influence. There's not much point in either of those two things anymore, is there?
Michael: Why don't you try proving you're worthy to yourself?
Kevin: What's the fun in that?
Michael: Life can't always be about fun. There are obligations, rules.
Kevin: Yeah. Look where they've gotten me. So, you know what I say? to hell with all that.
Stitch: Okay, what are you thinking and don't you dare say rocky road ice cream topped with pickled okra.
Victoria: Oh, you're never gonna let that go.
Stitch: [Chuckles] Let's just say you and Vicki, Junior have cravings.
Victoria: Vicki, junior, huh? Well, what if it's a boy? What would you call him?
Stitch: Uh, I don't want to be presumptuous.
Victoria: Unlike Billy. He's already has a name picked out.
Stitch: I'm sure I don't have to guess what that is.
Victoria: Well, personally, I'm partial to Benjamin. Or, I don't know, benjy.
Stitch: Benjy. Okay, you do realize that was a famous dog's name, right?
Victoria: Yeah. Benoit.
Stitch: Mnh-mnh.
Victoria: Benny-boodle.
Stitch: Mnh-mnh.
Victoria: Obi-wan.
Stitch: Now we're talking. Yeah.
Victoria: [Laughing] No.
Stitch: That sounds good.
Victoria: That's not happening.
Stitch: No? Why not? Actually, there, uh -- there is a name I've been thinking of that I think we can both agree on. It speaks of power and passion, confidence, strength.
Victoria: Wow. I'm really loving it already. What is it?
Stitch: Eggbert. Hmm?
Victoria: [Laughs] Eggbert?
Stitch: Eggbert. That's pretty good, right? No?
Victoria: You stinker! [Laughs] You really had me going. You were kidding, weren't you? I mean, that wasn't your father's name, was it?
Stitch: Nah.
Victoria: Did I -- did I say something wrong?
Stitch: No, forget about it.
Victoria: Are you sure?
Stitch: Yeah, it was a joke. All I care about is that the baby's healthy. As far as everything else, I'm good.
Chelsea: As long as we're telling it like it is, I want you to know that whatever happens with that test today, I'm okay with it.
Billy: If only everyone could be like you.
[Cell phone rings]
Chelsea: Oh, I think I left my cell upstairs. Uh, excuse me.
Nikki: Please try to understand. I was so lost when I wrote that journal. I was lost and confused and I just wanted to lash out at everybody and everything. If I had known then what I know now -- what an incredible gift you are in my life -- I would never have written those dreadful words.
Dylan: Well, thank you for telling me.
Nikki: Maybe we should go over the specifics of it before it gets started.
Dylan: No, no, no. It's okay. Whatever comes up, I'll just -- I'll deal with it then.
Nikki: Okay.
Paul: Hi.
Nikki: Paul.
Paul: Am I interrupting?
Nikki: What are you doing here?
Dylan: You're supposed to be at home recouping from surgery.
Paul: Yeah, look who's talking.
Dylan: I didn't have a choice.
Paul: Well, I didn't either.
Nikki: What do you mean?
Paul: Nikki, you should know by now -- I want to be here. You will always have my support. So you do, for that matter. You know, this is all gonna be over soon. Then we can start getting to know each other.
Michael: You hanging in?
Christine: I'm trying.
Michael: Good afternoon, everyone. Are we ready to do this thing?
Leslie: I mean, I am usually not this rattled, but, honestly, what Dylan said yesterday -- it just kind of got to me.
Barton: What, about you trying to get Ian ward off on a mistrial?
Leslie: If I hadn't been so determined to fight for Ian, he would be behind bars right now and Nikki wouldn't be facing a trial.
Barton: Leslie, you shouldn't apologize for doing your job. You're hired to keep people out of prison, not decide whether or not they belong there. Just like I don't decide who's worthy of surgery. I try and save all their lives. Speaking of which, I'm due back in surgery. I got to go, okay? [Smooches] I'll see you later.
Leslie: All right.
Barton: What the...? My I.D. badge is gone.
Kevin: Holy...
Victoria: Ben. Where did you go? All of a sudden, you got so quiet.
Stitch: Uh, it's nothing. Yeah.
Victoria: It's the paternity test, isn't it? You're worried about the results. No matter what they turn out to be, I want to be with you. Nothing's gonna change that.
Billy: What the hell is this?
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Dylan: The only one making us all suffer is that man sitting right there, Ian ward.
David: Objection!
Nikki: He called it new world. I called it hell on earth.
Kelly: Would you please help me out here and make him understand?
Billy: You knew about this?
