[Knock on door]

Jack: Special delivery.

Kelly: Well, well. Maybe I have a secret admirer?

Jack: Or a not-so-secret admirer.

Kelly: Just kidding. I know who those flowers are from.

Jack: Oh?

Kelly: Mr. Hinkle. My building manager.

Jack: Oh, will I ever live up to Mr. Hinkle in your eyes, ever?

Kelly: You're getting there. Let me see. What is the occasion? You feeling guilty or, uh, need a favor?

Jack: No, the flowers are a thank-you. Or, actually, more appropriately, a, "hey, you were right."

Kelly: Say that again.

Jack: You...were...right.

Kelly: [Chuckles]

Jack: You suggested I should show up at Summer's wedding. It was the right thing for me and for Summer, and... thank you. You shoved me in the right direction.

Kelly: You're a wonderful father, so I'm happy to shove you in the right direction every once in a while.

Jack: Well, would you be happy to help a sometimes-wonderful uncle and brother? Abby and Traci want to throw a little Abbott family dinner. And I thought it would be the perfect time to officially announce that you are the new woman in my life.

Billy: So, what is it? What do you have to be honest with me about?

Chelsea: Um, it's just complicated. Give me a second. Um...

Billy: Okay. You want me to go for a walk around the block? I mean, I can come back later.

Chelsea: No, you need to hear this. -- Or I need to say it, or -- or something.

Billy: Yet...still nothing.

Chelsea: Okay, just shut up for a second. [Chuckles] When I said to you that you needed to give me more or away, when I implied that maybe I wanted a relationship with you or else...

Billy: Yeah. You made that very clear, even if it was rough to hear.

Chelsea: It was stupid. The truth is, I don't know what I want, Billy. I don't know what this is. I do know that I don't care about a lot of people in the world, and I do care about you. So...I don't want to say goodbye.

Billy: You know I never did. So this is good. Right? But you don't look all relieved, like, "wow, that's a load off." So, what's rattling around in that head of yours?

Colin: It's still there, sweetheart. The theft, that was all make-believe.

Jill: Well, it was for a good cause. Your cause.

Colin: You're not having any second thoughts about our insurance misdirection, are you? I mean, yeah, it was for a good cause -- the preservation of this sorry hide.

Jill: Honey, your hide was the only reason I did it. And I got to tell you, insurance fraud is hardly a little misdirection.

Colin: Am I hearing the sound of your conscience, here?

Jill: No. We got you out from under all your debt. That was worth it. And we got a lot of money left over from the insurance.

Colin: We have. And we can put it to a good cause. I suggest Fenmore's boutique number two.

Jill: Yep. Actual, I'm on my way over to talk to Lauren right now. I'm gonna tell her that if she wants the money, this is a package deal. It's you and me and our money.

Colin: You know, just when I thought I couldn't love you any more...

Jill: Mm. Okay, here I go.

Colin: Ah, ah, ah.

Jill: What?

Colin: It's got to go back into its discreet little location.

Jill: Oh, that's right. Nobody can know that I have this. Okay. Put it in here.

[Combination lock clicking]

Jill: Ah. Okay. There. All safe and sound.

Colin: Now, off you go.

Jill: Mm.

Colin: And display some of that legendary business acumen and have Lauren bend to your will.

Jill: [Chuckles] I am gonna convince her that a three-way partnership would be a genius move her part.

Colin: That's the spirit.

Jill: Mm.

Lauren: Of course, Fenmore's is going strong. But we're thinking about expanding into a new boutique. You know, something intimate and exclusive. Something that would showcase Chelsea's designs by Jabot beautifully. Now, nothing's in stone yet, but I'm hopeful.

Neil: This sounds great. Really, it does. You know, Abbott is always happy and thrilled to be working with you and Jill. So do me a favor, just keep us posted, will you?

Lauren: Oh, I definitely will.

Neil: Good.

Lauren: And on a personal note, I'm sorry I have not reached out to you to congratulate you on your wedding. Best wishes to you.

Neil: Thank you. Thank you so much. I am a very lucky man. And let me tell you, I plan to keep my wife as happy as she's de me. Okay. You're my old friend and I see it in your face -- what is it? Wait, you think I'm crazy for rushing to the altar so fast. Or maybe it's my choice in bride.

Lauren: Neil, wasn't she the one that smeared you all over GC buzz?

Neil: Yeah, you're 100% accurate about that. But Hilary has made a 180-degree turn. She has. She's come from a very dark place. And what can I tell you? We fell in love, and I'm grateful.

Lauren: Okay.

Neil: I don't think everyone in town is goanna be on board with this. I mean, hell, even my own daughter is raising the loudest objections.

Lauren: Oh, you're kidding. What are they?

Neil: She doesn't think that Hilary has changed at all. As a matter of fact, she thinks Hilary will... will hurt me one day.

Cane: Hey.

Hilary: I'm just waiting for Neil, okay?

Cane: Okay. Okay.

Hilary: You know what, maybe I'll just go wait somewhere else.

Cane: You don't have to do that I just -- look, I'm wondering if you had a chance to think about our conversation.

Hilary: Of course I did. Listen, I didn't plan this. I didn't expect…

Cane: I know that. But things are the way they are. You're married to Neil, but you have a thing for his son.

Hilary: I know. And it is unfair to my husband. And he is the last person that would ever want to hurt. And that look in Devon's eyes it's wrong. All right? I know what I have to do.

Jack: Your going to an Abbott family dinner is...

Kelly: Terrifying.

Jack: I was gonna say a big deal.

Kelly: A big, terrifying deal.

Jack: Dinner won't be so bad. Probably.

Kelly: Maybe it's a little too soon for us to make it official. I mean, it sort of feels like getting pinned, or being asked to go to the prom.

Jack: Or it could just sound like dinner.

Kelly: With your family. Some of whom -- Abby -- hate me because of what happened with Billy.

Jack: You've already been to an Abbott family wedding. That went well. Made big points with Summer.

Kelly: Well, that's because the focus was on the bride. You know, if the focus becomes us, we could get carved up pretty good.

Jack: So we go together as a united front. It seems the logical next step. Unless you want to slow things down.

Kelly: I didn't say that. I think it's a little too late for that, don't you think?

Jack: I absolutely agree. Hell, even the mustache knows I'm crazy about you.

Kelly: Mustache? Victor?

Jack: Yeah, Victor saw the flowers. Noted that I have moved on quite well from Phyllis.

Kelly: Well, I'm sure, given your history with him, he meant that as a dig.

Jack: Trust me, he did. But you know what? He was right. I mean, Phyllis is in my heart, but that chapter is closed.

Kelly: You're staring a whole new chapter now?

Jack: I think a whole new book...filled with you.

Kelly: My goodness, sir. You have a way with words.

Jack: You know, sometimes words just don't do it.

Kelly: Jack, I loved going to that wedding with you. I loved watching you stand up there with Summer, and how proud you were of her. And watching you with that... well, put up with that other father. [Chuckles] You did so good. I was so proud of you. And I was honored. Okay? To be honest. And I'm sure I will feel that same way walking into your Abbott family dinner.

[Cell phone rings]

Jack: Uh-oh.

Kelly: Oh...

Jack: I'll turn it off, here.

Kelly: No, that's all right. That's all right. Might be important.

Jack: Ooh, this is London. This is a deal I am trying to finish.

Kelly: No, that's fine. I'll be here.

Jack: Thank you.

Kelly: Okay.

Jack: Hello? Yes, Nigel.

Kelly: [Exhales deeply]

Billy: So, help me out here. I can't tell if we're good or not. You have this look on your face like you have something more you want to say. Hey, Chels, it's me. Not a hell of a lot you can't say after everything that we've been through.

Chelsea: Stitch --

Billy: Is a jackass. Yes, I know. Go on.

Chelsea: I thought you were going to punch him.

Billy: Well, you know me. I like to use my brains to conquer my foes. That and my smart mouth.

Chelsea: You do have a smart mouth. And you drink too much. And it gets you into trouble. When I called you and you told me you were here --

Billy: And you hung up on me?

Chelsea: I thought I would find you in the bottom of the glass, itching for trouble, acting like a maniac.

Billy: I can't understand why you didn't want to tell me all of this. This is great to hear. So you really don't have anything else you want to say? Just wanted to keep me from getting into trouble? Huh?

Chelsea: Sorry.

Billy: That's okay. You only say those things because you know me.

Chelsea: I could really use a ride home.

Billy: Trying to get me away from the booze and Dr. Crew cut?

Chelsea: No, I just am trying to get a ride home. I walked Connor to my mom's, and now I'm just stranded. Poor me.

Billy: Yeah. Sure. Poor you. I'll go get the car.

Chelsea: [Sighs]

Stitch: You didn't tell him what you think you know about me.

Chelsea: I still can.

Stitch: Oh, I know. But you know you made the right choice. And not as some favor to me, but to spare everyone a lot of grief. Look, Victoria and I, we can have something special. And now maybe you and Billy can, too.

Chelsea: Oh, please. You are not protecting anyone but yourself.

Stitch: Oh, and your motives are so noble. Yeah, I don't think so.

Chelsea: Well, at least I know who I am. You -- you just think time will erase whatever it is that you did. You think it'll just go away. Can't hide from it forever. Bye, stitch. Or -- or Ben Rayburn, or whoever the hell you are.

Lauren: And here comes my fabulous partner, Jill, now.

Jill: Hmm.

Lauren: Honey, I was just talking to Neil about our expansion plans.

Neil: Yep. It's exciting news.

Jill: Yes. And I heard your news.

Neil: Yeah.

Jill: You married that manipulative witch who drugged cane into bed.

Lauren: Jill.

Jill: What were you thinking?

Lauren: Oh, my God, I am so sorry.

Neil: It's okay. I love a woman who speaks her mind, as a matter of fact. And you always do.

Jill: Please, don't apologize for me, okay? And don't you humor me. I mean it. Are you crazy?

Neil: Whoa, you know, I think I'm getting a call right now. So I'm gonna bid you fond farewell, but...

Jill: Mm-hmm.

Neil: Why don't you get to work, keep me posted, and bye.

Jill: Yeah, bye.

Lauren: Thank you. Thank you, Neil.

Jill: Men are such fools.

Lauren: Yeah, well, we're in business with that fool. Man! Man. Please, please don't offend him.

Jill: He was not offended. He appreciated my candor. Many people do, Lauren.

Lauren: [Chuckling] Many people do? I think you overestimate that.

Jill: Oh, like you did with our revenue flow this year?

Lauren: Wait a minute. Are you thinking about our proposition?

Jill: The answer is yes. Yes, we can and should open another boutique, and yes, I will fund it. Okay?

Lauren: Yay!

Jill: Yes.

Lauren: That's so great. Thank you.

Jill: Mm-hmm.

Lauren: And I also know what that necklace of Katherine's meant to you. And to have it stolen... you know, sis, I think you're still in shock. No matter what you say.

Jill: No, no, no. I know I'm a little numb, okay? But, really, the very idea that she would give me something like that, she cared enough about me, even though she made me jump through hoops to get it, it's priceless.

Lauren: Yeah. And I think she would really love the fact that you're investing in family.

Jill: Oh, I don't know if she'd be so thrilled about this.

Lauren: What do you mean? She and I were very close.

Jill: It's not that, sweetie. It's just, there's a fly in this particular ointment. See, my investment of capital comes with certain conditions --

Lauren: Which is...?

Colin: And I would be the fly.

Jill: [Chuckles]

Cane: We both know this is not fair to Neil. So what are we gonna do about it?

Neil: Hey. Sorry I'm late.

Hilary: Everything okay?

Neil: Yeah, it's wonderful. [Smooches] My beautiful lady lured me here with an intriguing voicemail. What'd you want to see me about?

Cane: Do you have something you want to say to Neil?

Devon: Hey, Hilary --

Neil: What gives? You two know something I don't? Oh, I get it. The husband is always the last to know.

Billy: You're home. I'm sober and didn't punch anyone. Success all around. Good for me.

Chelsea: Well, thanks for the ride.

Billy: What, that's it? We're done?

Chelsea: I told you, I'm not gonna get all needy or clingy. So you can, you know, go and go on with your life.

Billy: Right. Right. Exactly. Except that I really have no life, so...

Chelsea: Oh. Yeah, there's that.

Billy: Well, thanks for the sympathy.

Chelsea: You have Johnny.

Billy: Who is in D.C. with Vicki and Reed.

Chelsea: And Connor is with Anita.

Billy: And it still blows my mind, Anita playing grandma.

Chelsea: Do not let her hear you call her that.

Billy: Oh, I know. She's allergic to the "G" word.

Chelsea: Yeah. But she's a really good grandma. She is. I just hope she's not trying to teach Connor how to be a con artist while he's young and impressionable. On that note, I think I'm gonna have some wine.

Billy: Well, it would be boorish of me to let you drink alone. I'm trying to be a gentleman, here.

Chelsea: Oh. By all means.

Billy: So, how is the buzzing in Connor's room?

Chelsea: There's no trace of it. I think you fixed it.

Billy: Well, good. My broken back was for a good cause.

Chelsea: I thought your broken back was from the gym.

Billy: Yeah, but you fixed that.

Chelsea: I'm talented.

Billy: Yeah, you are.

Chelsea: I need you upstairs.

Cane: Devon and I have to go over some numbers, so --

Hilary: No, please. Stay.

Devon: If that's what you want.

Hilary: We are due for some change. Right here, right now. No more numbers, no more deals. No more business talk. It is time to play ball.

Neil: What?

Cane: That's why you asked Neil to come here?

Neil: You know something, fellas? This is a newlywed thing. Devon, unfortunately, you wouldn't understand. This is what happens when the woman you love is down to learn some baseball.

Hilary: Mm. Oh, please, it can't be that hard. I wiped the floor with you and your march madness grid.

Neil: Okay, that you did. And this is where, you know, it all started, guys. It was march madness. Cheesy nachos and, what was it? A bad hotel room, right?

Hilary: Yeah. You know, we don't want to be late. We got to make it to Chicago for kickoff.

Neil: For the now... you didn't just say that, did you?

Hilary: Okay, here. And I got you this so you can catch the foul balls.

Neil: Oh, you were playing me with the kickoff thing. I got it.

Hilary: I would never try and play you.

Neil: Gentlemen, your jealousy is unbecoming. But I'll get used to it. Come on.

Billy: And this is not what I thought you meant by going upstairs.

Chelsea: What did you think I meant?

Billy: Well, I don't know, but something other than Connor's nursery.

Chelsea: Well, you were sadly mistaken. Listen.

Billy: Oh, yeah. No buzz, just like you said.

Chelsea: Connor's getting so big, I need you to lower his mattress so he doesn't crawl out.

Billy: Oh, I remember those moves. Yeah, let's do this.

Chelsea: It's a weird mechanism.

Billy: Yeah, but I am a mechanical genius.

Chelsea: Oh. How'd you do that?

Billy: Did you not just hear what I said about being a genius?

Chelsea: I never listen to half the things you say. So, while you're here, I just need you to move this crib to the other side of the room, and I'm thinking of putting the dresser over there.

Billy: Heavy lifting?

Chelsea: You're already here.

Billy: You know, you just pulled a total bait and switch on me.

Chelsea: What was I using as bait? Come on, mechanical genius. Help me move this crib.

Would you like more photos? I could follow her with the camera again.

Chelsea: You're in my personal space.

Billy: How do you know you're not in my personal space?

Chelsea: It's my house.

Billy: All right, all right. Let's stop the bickering and start working like a team.

Chelsea: No one's ever called me a team player before.

Billy: Well, maybe they don't know you like I do.

Fans in the stands despite the cloud cover, hoping the weather report is wrong.

Neil: [Inhales deeply] [Exhales deeply] Hell of a day.

Hilary: Let's just see if they play after all.

Neil: Oh, I'm sorry, I was actually... uh, I was talking about Devon. You probably don't know this, but he was all set to leave town. At the last minute, he changed his mind, and so now he's gonna stay put.

Hilary: Oh, well, probably because he knows how much that means to you, to have your kids close.

Neil: Yeah, well, he said he had some unfinished business. For the life of me, I don't know what's eating away at him, man. Lily's behavior? The business? The fact that he's young, rich, and has no direction? I mean, I-I don't know where he's running to or where he's running from. All I know is that he's staying in Genoa City.

Hilary: To deal with unfinished business? How is he gonna do that? Did he say?

Neil: Oh, not a clue. Baby, I think that, uh... you might be the answer.

Hilary: Neil...

Neil: I'm telling you, he trusts you. You might be the person to help him.

Hilary: I don't see how.

Neil: Well, remember when lily threw you in the pool? How could you forget that? Who was there to -- to save you, huh? Devon was. That's because you two are good friends now. He does trust you.

Hilary: Why don't we see I we'll make first pitch?

Hear that thunder? Game delay, folks.

Hilary: [Sighs] I'm sorry.

Neil: No, no. You know, with the rain delay, it'll give us a little bit more time to get there.

Hilary: It could be canceled altogether.

Neil: Well, what you don't know about these parts is, you wait 10 minutes, the weather changes. Storm passes. [Chuckles]

Cane: You know, I heard you and Hilary in the laundry room.

Devon: Well, yeah, I was getting her clothes.

Cane: No, you weren't.

Devon: Well, then you heard it didn't get out of hand.

Cane: Yeah, this time. But what about the next?

Devon: There's not gonna be a next time. What were you doing listening to us, though?

Cane: I came looking for you so that Neil wouldn't.

Devon: Well, I appreciate you doing at, but you don't have to watch out for me. You got your own dad to look out for, right?

Cane: Yeah, this is true. But lucky for me, this time he isn't walking that fine line between good and bad. Listen. If you are gonna leave town, you need to handle this Hilary situation before it blows up.

Devon: I know I do.

Cane: Okay.

Devon: But I don't know how to do that. Because I feel like if I run, a part of me's gonna be stuck back here in Genoa City. And if I stay here, it's like living every day in hell. The last thing I want to do is hurt Neil.

Cane: All right, listen --

Devon: But what about -

Cane: Hilary's not gonna say anything to Neil. She won't do that. She wants the marriage to work she wants Neil to be happy.

Devon: And that's exactly what my dad deserves.

Cane: Right.

Devon: But, I mean, what about the rest of us? Do we not deserve that, too? Maybe I don't.

Lauren: Colin? Part of the new Fenmore's boutique?

JJ: It's a family business.

Lauren: Yes, our family.

Jill: Colin is part of our family now.

Colin: You guys, you will handle the style. Me? I'll handle the money.

Lauren: Oh, good God.

Jill: He's an excellent businessman.

Lauren: Yes, in funny business and illegal business, which, by the way, he ran most of from prison.

Jill: Not that many people could have done that, okay? That's the proof right there. At the heart of it, he's a killer businessman.

Colin: It'll be fantastic. Family business. This family business.

Lauren: No. You know what? Keep the cash.

Colin: [Sighs]

[Knock on door]

Kelly: Oh, my gosh, that's so weird. I was just about to call you.

Stitch: Yeah? The eternal psychic bond of siblings.

Kelly: Yeah, right. Show me the science to back that up.

Stitch: Well, I'm here, aren't I? Hey, so, uh, have you heard about Billy and Chelsea?

Kelly: As in, they slept together?

Stitch: Yeah.

Kelly: Ohh. Does Victoria know?

Stitch: She heard about it directly.

Kelly: He can be such a fool sometimes. He doesn't mean to be. He just can't help himself.

Stitch: Which only puts things in my favor, since the second Victoria gets back from D.C., She's pushing through the divorce.

Kelly: Things go swinging in your direction once again.

Stitch: [Sighs] Come on, Kel. We're making progress. Don't go back to hating me.

Kelly: I'm not. I'm not. I just... just old habits. Anyway, you didn't come here to talk about Billy's sex life, did you? What's going on?

Stitch: Billy is giving up digging into my past. But Chelsea is still looking. She mentioned Chesterfield High.

Kelly: Does she know?

Stitch: She knows something. I'm just not sure how much. I told her she should just leave it alone, you know, and keep it to herself.

Kelly: Ben, this is not going away. I mean, this is hanging over you -- over both of us. The ax is gonna fall someday.

Stitch: That doesn't mean you need to be the one to swing it.

Kelly: I'm not. I didn't say that I would. It's just, the truth is gonna come out.

Jack: The truth about what?

Lauren: You know what? Fenmore's is doing great. The boutique here is going strong. We don't need to expand. I don't even know what I was thinking.

Jill: Mm-hmm.

Lauren: So keep your cash. In fact, burn it for all I care.

Jill: No, here's the thing -- we're partners. You cannot unilaterally vote against Colin.

Lauren: Oh, believe me, if I could, the two of you never would have gotten married.

Jill: Hmm.

Colin: If I was the sensitive type, I might take offense to a comment like that.

Jill: All right, he's been a cheat, he's been a crook, he's been outside the law. But look at us. We are not exactly lambs drawn to the slaughter. I actually sent the man to jail, okay? So if anybody can keep this one in check, it's us. So we use the money, we build the brand, and I get to stand by my man.

Lauren: Oh, my God, you did not just say that.

Jill: Oh, I absolutely did say that. I admit it. He makes me crazy. I just love him all the more. But here's the thing -- he's very smart, and he's very savvy, okay? So please, sis, accept my husband.

Lauren: This is so, so unfair. [Gasps] Cane! Can I talk to you for a minute?

Cane: Sure. What's up?

Lauren: I have a question for you.

Cane: Okay.

Lauren: Would you allow this man to invest in this business?

Cane: [Chuckles] Well, luckily for us, the club's owned by a very wealthy man.

Lauren: Mm-hmm. All right, let me rephrase.

Cane: Okay.

Lauren: Would you allow this man to invest in your business that's very close to your heart?

Cane: Hmm. A year ago? Now?

Jill: Yes.

Cane: Maybe.

Colin: Maybe?

Cane: Maybe.

Colin: I get to look after the kids, but I can't look after your business?

Cane: I didn't say that. See, the thing is with the family business, though, it gets tricky. You can't dissolve it if it gets difficult, you know. You have to stick it out for the long haul. Now, you can do that, maybe. But the question is, can you?

Jill: Lauren, this is a heart over head thing, okay? My heart won out. Can yours?

Devon: Would you like to hear my two cents?

Lauren: Oh, please.

Devon: Being family is no excuse for being stupid.

Stitch: Jack, I hope you can understand, some stuff is just family, and I needed to talk to Kelly alone.

Jack: The problem is the subject has her upset, and that has me upset.

Kelly: No, I'm fine. Really. You know me. I get this way, it passes. Um... just let me talk to my brother for a bit.

Jack: I'll be right outside.

Kelly: Thank you.

Stitch: Thanks.

Kelly: This is not fair. I cannot do this. I cannot be put in this position, Ben. I have had my life shredded twice. Twice, okay? I cannot be asked -- you're putting me in a position to lie again, so that I would lose everything.

Stitch: I don't want you to. All right? It just... just shut down Chelsea if she asks you anything.

Kelly: I have! I mean, I will! But the rest...

Stitch: Look, look, look. It won't come to that. I think Chelsea understands that it's -- it's in her best interests to leave it alone, as well.

Kelly: I worry about you, Ben.

Stitch: Thanks. Was that too weird?

Kelly: Yeah, that was kind of weird.

Stitch: It was kind of weird. Okay.

Kelly: Yeah. Thanks.

Stitch: Sorry.

Kelly: Yeah. [Sighs]

Billy: Well?

Chelsea: I hate it.

Billy: What?

Chelsea: Can we move the dresser back?

Billy: Are you kidding?

Chelsea: Yeah. Yes, I am.

Billy: You're hilarious.

Chelsea: It's perfect. You did great.

Billy: Hey, so, my back is sore from moving that furniture. You want to fix it again? In your room?

Chelsea: No, not my room.

Billy: Okay. Where we go doesn't matter, as long as it's you and me.

If there was a way to break in and stop them, I would. It's impossible.

Game called on account of rain.

Neil: Damn! Oh, man, me and my mitt ready for a foul ball.

Hilary: And our hats and our shirts. We were gonna be stylin'.

Neil: There's not even a drop of rain, yet, in the sky here. How bad can it be down there, huh?

Hilary: I'm sorry. This day was a complete waste. I just wanted to give you a bit of happiness, you know? Like what you give to me.

Neil: Oh, hey. You know what? All that matters to me is that you are happy. You hear me?

Hilary: No. No, it can't all just be about me. You gave me a second chance after I ripped your life apart. The fact that you trust me, that you love me, it means a lot, Neil. I just want to give some of that back to you. I want to be the wife that you deserve.

Neil: Hilary, this isn't a contest here, okay? We do not have to out-happy each other. Lighten up. Smile. Okay? [Chuckles]

Hilary: All right. Well, now what?

Neil: Now, well, there's no use continuing this drive to Chicago, and we really don't need to race home, do we?

Hilary: Well, I have an idea.

Neil: Mm?

Hilary: But I don't want to be accused of trying to out-happy you.

Neil: Okay. I like ideas. Lay it on me. What is it?

Hilary: Mm...

Neil: Ooh. Yeah? Okay. Let me pull this car over then.

[Both chuckle]

Jill: Wait, family equals stupidity? This is why you hired your sister and your brother-in-law.

Devon: I'm just saying that you can't follow blind family loyalty. You have to use your brains and be rational. Make the decision that makes sense, even if someone ends up getting hurt. 'Cause you can't protect everyone's feelings, no matter how bad you want to. Sorry. It's none of my business, so you guys do what you got to do.

Cane: Excuse me.

Colin: Well, that was enlightening.

Lauren: Yeah. Maybe it was in a way.

Jill: This is my last word in this, okay? If you came to me and you said, "Could Michael come in on this?" No, no, no. In an instant, I would say yes. And why? 'Cause I love you, and I trust you, and I know that you would never do anything to hurt this business. I feel the same way. I would defend Fenmore's name and brand to the death. The thing is, that's exactly how I feel about my marriage.

Colin: You do?

Jill: [Chuckles] Don't let it go to your head, honey.

Colin: Lauren. Yes, I am a bastard. But I know numbers, and I know business. And I know enough not to piss off the wife. Now, as for that noise that Devon --

Lauren: It wasn't noise. It wasn't. It was very telling. It made a lot of sense. It was also very sad. And maybe it's time for hope and optimism in a true family business. In every way.

Jill: Are you saying that...?

Lauren: Welcome to Fenmore.

Jill: [Chuckles]

Lauren: Okay, don't push it, all right? Don't push it. Thanks.

Colin: Look at that. Legit businessman.

Lauren: Yeah, a very, very legitimate business. You get me?

Colin: I've gotten you.

Jill: Okay. If I weren't so cynical, I would get a little misty, but seriously, you're not gonna regret this.

Lauren: I better not, sis.

Devon: Look, I know I had no business going after your family like that, and I apologize --

Cane: It's okay. Don't worry about it. Listen, I know this is eating you away, but you can't start losing it.

Devon: My father's with the woman that I want.

Cane: I know that. And you can't control it. So what can I do to help?

Devon: There's nothing that you can do to help, or anyone can do to help. I know the deal. I just have to live with it. I don't have a choice.

Kelly: I've kept things locked up inside me for so long. And now, when I finally meet somebody that I want to open up to...

Jack: Ben won't let you. That's on him, not on you.

Kelly: Well, it's me, too. I'm going along with it.

Jack: You're doing this for your brother. I know what it is to try to be there for your family. But I see what this is doing to you.

Kelly: It's okay. I'm fine. I can handle it. I can...

Jack: I'm not sure you can. And frankly, I hate seeing you even try. This is too much. You have to let go. You have to tell someone. Tell me. What is Ben holding over you?

Stitch: Victoria, it's me. Um...maybe you and the boys are at dinner, or hanging out in a park, but... I miss you. And I-I wanted to say that, no matter what... just know I love you.

Kelly: Jack, please.

Jack: This is not a demand. I'm not making ultimatums. I am here, and I care about you, and I see the pressure you're under because of Ben. I see how tense you are when you're around him. The weight you carry. The burden of this lie. You have to let it go.

Kelly: I've lived with this for so long.

Jack: You don't have to any longer. Not for Ben, not for anyone. You told me that the two of you have been estranged for some time. What happened?

Kelly: Do you remember that concert in the park? There was music and food, and we laughed, and... I was so happy. That is the first time, Jack, that I have felt hope, real hope, for a real life.

Jack: Tell me what happened between the two of you.

Kelly: Jack, you... you think you can fix this. You think this is something that you can handle, but it is not like that.

Jack: Kelly, look at me. Please. You can trust me. Tell me what happened.

Kelly: My brother... is a murderer.

Neil: Doesn't matter where the seats are. I promise you I will get you that ball.

Hilary: Or maybe I'll get it for you.

Neil: Oh, yeah.

Devon: You guys back so soon?

Neil: Yeah, it was raining in Chicago. But the trip wasn't a total waste, was it? Hmm? Hey, Devon, next time, you can come with us, and you can, uh, have some peanuts and hot dogs on me.

Devon: Well, I'm more of a basketball fan, but thanks. You guys go ahead and enjoy your night.

Neil: Yeah, you too.

Devon: Thanks.

Neil: Hey, baby, I've worked up quite an appetite. I'm gonna get us a table. You hungry?

Hilary: Yeah. Whatever you want, I'm up for it.

Neil: Bye.

Chelsea: I'm starving. Let me see what's in the fridge.

Billy: Yeah, I worked up quite an appetite moving furniture.

Chelsea: Mm-hmm. How's your back?

Billy: It's good. You have the healing touch. You know, it's a profound gift, and you should use it over and over and over.

Chelsea: Shut up.

Next, on "The Young and the Restless"...

Dylan: Someone can shoot the chief of police and say, "Hey, my bad," and you're gonna try to get him a free pass. Is that what you're saying?

Traci: I would like to go on record right now predicting a happy and healing family dinner.

Austin: Nice to see you again, Sir.

Jack: I didn't realize you'd be joining us.
