Episode # 10444 ~ Tensions between Nikki & Christine increase; Kelly tells Jack about her relationship with Stitch.

Provided By Suzanne

Victoria: Mom?!

Victor: The exchange rate is not to our advantage, okay? Let me deal with that later. Yep. Thank you. Hi, sweetheart.

Victoria: Hi, dad.

Victor: So... your mom is not here.

Victoria: Did she go back to the hospital?

Victor: Uh, Avery called. Apparently, Dylan is in recovery.

Victoria: Dad, can you please explain something to me? How did Dylan wind up being Paul's organ donor?

Victor: Hmm. Well, he volunteered.

Victoria: Yes, but I thought the doctor said it was too dangerous because of some previous injury.

Victor: But, apparently, he thought it was worth taking that risk.

Victoria: Well, I know that Dylan felt guilty and he felt somehow responsible for Paul getting shot, but why would he risk his life for Paul?

Victor: There's more involved than just guilt, sweetheart, okay?

Victoria: You know, Dylan is my brother, so if there's something going on with him, I should know.

Victor: Let's just say that Dylan learned that he had a very compelling reason to save Paul, okay?

Victoria: Which was?

Victor: Turns out that Ian Ward... can't have nor could ever have had children.

Paul: [Crying] My son. I killed my son. He's gone.

Nikki: No. No. He's not.

Paul: Ricky...is gone.

Nikki: Paul, Ricky is gone, but u still have a son.

Paul: No.

Nikki: You have Dylan. Listen to me. Dylan is your son.

Paul: Dylan?

Nikki: Yes, Dylan. I was wrong. All this time, I thought it was Ian, but I was wrong.

Christine: Dr. Shelby's on his way.

Paul: Ohh.

Christine: What are you doing?!

Nikki: Christine, he was thrashing around, and I thought he was gonna hurt himself.

Christine: Paul. Paul. Hey.

Paul: I need to see him.

Christine: Listen, everything's gonna be okay. Dr. Shelby's on his way.

Paul: No. I need to see my son.

Christine: Ricky isn't here.

Paul: No. Dylan -- I need to see Dylan.

[Alarms blaring]

Avery: [Crying] Somebody help me, please! Dylan! Dylan. Stitch! Stitch, I don't know what happened! He was -- he was fine a minute ago, and then the machines --

Stitch: Okay. Wait outside, Avery.

Avery: Is he gonna be okay?

Stitch: Dylan, can you hear me? All right. His blood pressure's dropped, damn it. He's going into shock. Okay. CBC, blood culture times 3. Raise his I.V. To 175 cc per hour, d5 normal saline, continuous vitals. Dylan!

Chelsea: Kevin, Billy and I are very committed to this.

Billy: That's right. We even went to Australia.

Kevin: Ah. Vacation?

Chelsea: Stitch's ex-wife.

Billy: We tried getting dirt on stitch from her, and she actually talked to us, but --

Kevin: How'd you get her to do that?

Billy: We posed as a documentary crew.

Kevin: Posed? What does that mean? What, did you guys wear disguises?

Chelsea: I wore glasses.

Billy: I had a hat.

Kevin: Oh. Well, that's brilliant. But it's still fraud, right -- presenting as something that you're not? It is not my thing. Forget it.

Billy: Come on, Kevin.

Kevin: Billy, don't act like we're best buds.

Billy: Okay. So I don't think that much of you and you probably despise me, but could you put that aside?

Kevin: Because you need some under-the-table tech savvy?

Chelsea: Kevin, please -- will you just hear him out? [Sighs]

Billy: Okay. So, the ex-wife...

Chelsea: Jenna.

Billy: Right -- Jenna... clams up the minute we mention Kelly's name.

Kevin: Other woman?

Billy: Don't know, so we reached out to Kelly's ex...

Chelsea: Who had never even heard of stitch, A.K.A. Ben Rayburn.

Kevin: So?

Billy: So, no one has.

Kevin: It's not possible. Web searches --

Chelsea: It's as if stitch didn't exist prior to joining the army.

Billy: And I know that you turned me down the first time I asked you to look into stitch's past.

Kevin: I'm turning you down again.

Billy: Kevin, I'm desperate. My marriage is at stake. Please, help me find what stitch is hiding and why -- why Kelly is helping him cover it up.

Kelly: I'm not sure what you think is going on, Jack.

Jack: Oh, it was pretty obvious. There's something between you and stitch -- something more than you've been saying.

Kelly: I told you -- we have history.

Jack: History, as in the past, only what you have with stitch is not in the past, is it? That hug was very much in the present.

Avery: Stitch, is he gonna be all right?!

Stitch: Get her out of here.

Avery: I --

It's okay.

Avery: He can't die! Stitch, he can't die!

Stitch: Then let me help him! Go! Get out!

Avery: Okay. I got it. I got it!

Avery: [Crying]

Ian: Avery? What's wrong? Is it Dylan?

Avery: You've got some nerve showing up here.

Ian: Well, I am Dylan's father. I'm concerned about my son's welfare.

Avery: You know damn well Dylan isn't your son.

Ian: Nikki led me to believe that he was my son, so if you want to get angry with --

Avery: I'm angry at you for scamming us all these months, for lying to Dylan, for trying to extort money from Nikki when you knew it wasn't possible that you were Dylan's father!

Ian: I was deceived.

Avery: Stop playing the victim!

Ian: I was deceived.

Avery: Your secret is out. Everyone knows the truth!

Ian: [Sighs]

Barton: There's no cause for alarm. Many patients wake up disoriented after surgery.

Christine: He was really thrashing around.

Barton: I've given your husband something to help him rest. We should all let him do that.

Christine: [Smooches]

Barton: If you need anything else at all, just let me know.

Nikki: We'll let you know, doctor.

Barton: Okay.

Christine: "We'll let you know"?

Nikki: Oh, god. I was just saying --

Christine: You know, you heard the doctor. Let's let Paul rest. Could you please leave before you upset him any further?

Nikki: I'm not the one who upset him. He was in there thrashing around --

Christine: What were you even doing in the room in the first place?

Nikki: I thought if he learned about Dylan, it would calm him down.

Christine: I've made it very clear that no one tell Paul about Dylan until he's stronger.

Nikki: Well, he was asking.

Christine: Oh, yeah, and you couldn't wait to rush in there by his side, drop this bombshell on him, the second I walk out of the room.

Nikki: That's not true! It wasn't like that!

Christine: You had no right. Paul is my husband.

Nikki: Well, he's my friend. In fact, I've known him a lot longer than you have.

Christine: That means you know him better than I do, that you have some sort of entitlement to my husband? Who the hell do you think you are?!

Nikki: Oh, give it a rest, Christine. Paul's a big boy. I think he can handle this news about Dylan. Maybe you are the one with the issues.

Christine: You know what? I'm about to start having a big issue with you. I'm not kidding.

Paul: What's going on?

Nikki: Don't you touch me!

Paul: What's going on? What? What's -- why?

Victoria: Paul is Dylan's father?

Victor: As it turns out.

Victoria: How are you handling this, dad?

Victor: I'm angry -- very angry.

Victoria: At mom?

Victor: No, not at your mother. I'm angry at Ian Ward for making Nikki relive the worst time of her life.

Victoria: Are you sure you're okay with Paul being Dylan's father.

Victor: It doesn't affect me.

Victoria: Yeah, dad. Of course it does. Why wouldn't it? I mean, there's a humongous difference between mom having a child with someone that she once loved and someone that she loves so much.

Victor: Sweetheart, don't you worry, okay? Your mother and I love each other. That's all that matters.

Victoria: I know that, but this new development -- it's, uh...

Victor: Will you stop worrying about it? I'm not concerned with it, okay? So, uh... how's your pregnancy coming along?

Victoria: Dad, that's a really nice way to change the subject.

Victor: Well, in a way, the situation is similar, you know? But you don't have to wait for years to find out whether Billy Abbott or dr. Rayburn fathered your baby.

Victoria: Yes, that's true. It's quite a relief.

Victor: But you're still stressed out?

Victoria: Dad, it's just not an ideal situation, you know? The circumstances are a little off, but...I'm lucky because either man, Billy or Ben, will be a great father for this baby.

Victor: May I ask who you'd prefer to be the father?

Victoria: I would prefer it if Delia were still alive, and then Billy wouldn't have cheated on me. But he did, and now we're getting a divorce.

Victor: May I also ask where stitch fits in to all this?

Victoria: I like him, dad. I do. He's a good man.

Victor: I think he's a very good guy.

Victoria: And he's good to me.

Victor: Yeah. I mean, he was a veteran and went to medical school, actually finished, got his degree. I have great respect for all that.

Victoria: Oh, boy. Let's not turn all of this praise of Ben into badmouthing Billy.

Victor: I'm simply stating the obvious, that's all.

Victoria: I may be divorcing him, but I'm really tired of hearing you trash Billy.

Victor: Baby, that was not my intention. Be glad that you don't have to go through what your mother went through -- being pregnant and alone and scared. Don't you ever worry, okay? As long as I'm here, I will always support you. I don't care who fathered your baby.

Victoria: Okay.

Victor: Come here. [Smooches]

Victoria: Love you.

Victor: I adore you.

Kevin: I-I don't get it. You want me to get the dirt on stitch by looking into Kelly's background?

Chelsea: It's the only lead we've got.

Kevin: But Billy slept with Kelly. Isn't it usually the wronged spouse who wants to find the dirt on the woman her husband had the affair with?

Billy: Okay, get this straight. What I had with Kelly -- that wasn't an affair.

Kevin: You cheated on your wife.

Billy: It was one night, Kevin.

Kevin: Yeah, and that's all it takes to ruin marriage.

Billy: Victoria may have filed for a divorce, but I'm still gonna do everything in my power to make sure that she and the baby that she's carrying don't get hurt.

[Cell phone beeps]

Billy: I-I've got to get back to work. Will you get the information? Please?

Kevin: Well, I like that you said, "please."

Chelsea: Will you do it, Kevin?

Kevin: [Sighs] You know, losing Chloe -- I-I don't want Victoria or you to have to go through that same kind of pain, so if there's a chance you can save things...

Billy: Thank you for your help, Kevin.

Chelsea: How will you do it?

Kevin: Well, it's nearly impossible to not leave a digital trail. All information is stored on a server somewhere. You just have to know where to look. And I know where to look.

Kelly: Jack... I care about you. I think our relationship could go somewhere.

Jack: Yeah. I thought so, too.

Kelly: You have to know that I am not seeing anyone else.

Jack: And I'm supposed to know that how -- by your saying so? You also said that you and stitch weren't close. That's not exactly what I witnessed at the club.

Kelly: That was a hug.

Jack: I heard you tell him you still loved him.

Kelly: [Sighs]

Jack: What is going on? Tell me the truth. Are you the reason that stitch's marriage broke up?

Kelly: Yes. I was.

Kelly: Jack --

Billy: The product research for the fall line of moisturizers came in, and -- sorry.

Kelly: You know what, Billy? You should be sorry. I told you not to dig into Ben's past. I warned you that it wouldn't help you win back Victoria.

Billy: And you were right.

Kelly: But did you listen to me? No. Instead, you flew halfway around the world to badger a woman who just wants to be left alone.

Billy: I had to go to Australia.

Kelly: Oh, really? Why?

Billy: Because you wouldn't tell me anything about stitch's past. I figured Jenna might.

Kelly: And when Jenna wouldn't give you any information, you go digging into my past?

Billy: Dean told you I called?

Kelly: You called my ex-husband?! How could you do that to me?!

Jack: Maybe you should sit down.

Billy: I needed information.

Kelly: And I need a friend, Billy. That is why I told you about dean and our broken marriage. That is why I trusted you! I cannot believe that you would betray me like that.

Billy: Kelly, listen --

Kelly: No. No. It's okay. Why should I be surprised? After all, this is the same man who betrayed his own wife.

Victoria: Dad [Sighs] I just really want you to know I appreciate the way you keep showing up for me, even with everything that's happening with me and this baby.

Victor: [Smooches] You're my daughter.

Victoria: I know, but I appreciate it. And I know that mom appreciates you being there for her, too.

Victor: And I appreciate your saying that. I just wish that I could have en there for your mother all those years ago, you know?

Victoria: No, dad. Now is what counts. You haven't let her down. You stood by her when she had to relive being used by Ian.

Victor: Yeah, but I hate the fact that that son of a bitch put her through such turmoil again.

Victoria: Unnecessarily.

Victor: But, you know, one good thing happened. She made it perfectly clear to Ian Ward that he no longer has a hold over her.

Victoria: He has no more ties to mom 'cause Dylan is Paul's son.

Victor: Yeah.

Victoria: Are you sure you're okay with all that?

Victor: Paul Williams is a nice guy. I'm not worried about him.

Victoria: Okay, dad. Then what's bothering you?

Victor: Ian Ward.

Christine: It's okay. There was a woman that was unhappy about her diagnosis, but everything's fine. It's okay.

Paul: Is it true? Nikki, is -- is it true?

Nikki: What, Paul?

Paul: Dylan... is my son?

Nikki: Yes, he is.

Paul: But Ian -- Ian Ward is not the father?

Christine: Sweetheart, let's wait and have this discussion later, okay? You have to rest now.

Paul: No, no, no. I missed too much already.

Nikki: Remember a cryptic message that Ian gave you after you arrested him?

Paul: Ohh. He did me a favor.

Nikki: Yes. This is what he was alluding to. He's known all along that he couldn't have been the father.

Paul: Nikki, move closer.

Nikki: Yeah. Yeah. Sure. Yeah.

Paul: How can you be sure?

Nikki: Well, when Ian was a teenager, he had an accident that left him sterile.

Paul: And this has all been confirmed?

Nikki: Yes, yes, with medical records.

Paul: Why? I don't understand.

Nikki: He saw an opportunity to make a quick buck on my assumption. I just could kick myself. I should have realized sooner that you could possibly be the father. I mean, we were together then, remember?

Paul: And then -- then you were with Ian.

Nikki: It's a shame that... it took you almost dying for the truth to come out.

Paul: I don't understand.

Nikki: Dylan... was your donor.

Paul: Dylan?

Nikki: Yeah.

Paul: [Crying] My son saved my life?

Nikki: [Crying] Yes. Yes, he did.

Christine: Well, let's -- let's make sure Dylan's gift doesn't go to waste, okay? You have to rest and let your body heal. Nikki, please. Thank you for coming, Nikki. Thank you. I'm so glad you're better. You had us so scared.

Paul: Wait. Nikki.

Nikki: Yeah?

Paul: Do me a favor, please.

Nikki: Anything.

Paul: Tell him thank you for me.

Nikki: I will.

Paul: [Moans]

Ian: I'm just as surprised as you and Dylan that I may not be his father.

Avery: Stop lying. I can't deal with your mind games when Dylan is fighting for his life.

Ian: Why did he go against his doctor's wishes?

Nikki: Because he wanted to save his father. That's right. Dylan knows the truth, so you can take your concern and your lies and go. The only thing that matters is that Paul and Dylan are well.

Ian: I don't know why you're so angry with me, Nicole, since you're the one who's been deceiving us all these years.

Nikki: Excuse me?

[Door closes]

Ave: Stitch, what's happening?

Stitch: We're waiting for test results.

Avery: But Dylan's gonna be okay, right?

Stitch: We'll know more soon.

Avery: Can I see him?

Stitch: When the nurse is done, yeah.

Avery: Okay.

Nikki: What are you still doing here? Didn't I tell you to leave? I don't want you anywhere near my son!

Ian: You misled us -- Dylan, Paul, and me.

Nikki: You knew you were sterile.

Ian: I was told that it was very unlikely that I would ever father children. But then Dylan showed up, and I thought maybe the doctors were wrong.

Nikki: That's unbelievable bull.

Ian: Plenty of couples have struggled with infertility for years, and then they get pregnant after they've adopted, so I thought maybe --

Nikki: Oh, and you thought that you rated a miracle?

Ian: No, a gift, Nicole -- a gift. And you seemed so certain.

Nikki: I seemed bamboozled.

Ian: So I embraced Dylan as my son. I even changed my will. I made him my one sole beneficiary.

Nikki: No, that was your insurance policy in case he came after you after what you did to him.

Ian: You cheated me, Nicole.

Avery: Ian, stop it! I want you to go.

Ian: You want to blame somebody? Blame Nicole. Her choices led us here.

Leslie: Oh. Hi.

[Both smooch]

Barton: Sorry to keep you waiting.

Leslie: Oh, no. It's okay. I'm just glad you could slip away for a quick dinner. So, what's the deal? How's Paul?

Barton: Well, you know. It's a process. But he's recovering well.

Leslie: Wow. That...is truly amazing.

Barton: What -- that I brought him back from the brink of death?

Leslie: Uh, yes. I mean, that has to be a good feeling. Your work really makes a difference in people's lives.

Barton: Well, so does yours.

Leslie: I mean, it did. I don't know. I mean, I may be done practicing law if Ian complains to the ethics committee.

Barton: Don't buy in to the worst-case scenario just yet.

Leslie: I'm just saying if Ian reports me, I will admit I did break attorney-client privilege.

Barton: Okay.

Leslie: [Sighs]

Barton: Well, do you regret it?

Leslie: I regret that it may get me disbarred.

Barton: But if you had your choice to do it again, would you?

Leslie: Um...I would still tell Nikki the truth. I mean, like you said, Paul was on the brink of death. Dylan deserved to spend those moments with his father, especially if they were his last.

Billy: I didn't go to your place intending to betray Victoria. I was grieving for my daughter.

Kelly: And I was grieving my son.

Billy: We got caught up, Kelly. I thought you understood that.

Kelly: And I thought you understood that the things I told you about my family weren't easily shared. Losing Sam destroyed me and my marriage.

Billy: I know.

Kelly: That's it, Billy! You knew! Dean and I could barely look at each other after Sam died, it hurt so much! Why would you reopen those wounds by contacting him?!

Jack: I'm sure Billy didn't mean --

Kelly: Do my own feelings mean so little to you? I thought we were friends. Guess I was wrong.

Billy: Go ahead. Tell me how paranoid and wrong I've been.

Jack: No, you weren't wrong -- at least not about stitch and Kelly.

Kevin: Why are you so invested in this?

Chelsea: I want to help Billy and Victoria.

Kevin: Why? 'S not like you're that close with him or her.

Chelsea: I think there's still hope for them.

Kevin: Hope that they'll get the happy ending you missed?

Chelsea: Adam's dead. There's no turning that around.

Kevin: I feel you.

Chelsea: Have you talked to Chloe?

Kevin: She sent me a text basically saying, "stay away."

Chelsea: Can you stay away?

Kevin: I got on the very next plane and went to California.

Chelsea: You did not.

Kevin: I broke into the psych Ward where she was -- got busted by some rent-a-cops who promptly called the actual cops.

Chelsea: You got arrested?!

Kevin: No, just held for questioning. I had to call Michael. He had to convince them I was harmless.

Chelsea: Oh, god.

Kevin: They let me go a few hours later.

Chelsea: Kevin, what did you think was gonna happen?

Kevin: I don't know. I thought if I saw her in person, I could convince her not to cut me out of her life.

Chelsea: She cares about you. I know she does.

Kevin: I doubt that. She won't reply to my calls. She won't reply to my texts, my e-mails.

Chelsea: Maybe she's trying to focus on getting healthy.

Kevin: What am I supposed to focus on? How am I supposed to live without her?

Chelsea: The same way I live without Adam. It's hard, but, eventually, you have to stop going through the motions. You have to start living again.

Victoria: Living with who? Or do I even have to ask?

Victoria: So, um, are you gonna claim that you went to Australia with my husband to save my marriage?

Chelsea: Um...I was looking out for Billy.

Victoria: He's a big boy, Chelsea.

Chelsea: He's also desperate to get you back. I was afraid if he went by himself, he might get himself into trouble.

Victoria: Right -- the same kind of trouble that you two got yourselves in before. You going for round 2?

Kevin: Victoria, maybe if you just --

Chelsea: Wow. It's crazy to me. This guy -- he does this huge, big, romantic gesture because he loves you. He was trying to keep you safe.

Kevin: Anybody want coffee?

Chelsea: And then you crush the poor guy by filing for divorce?

Victoria: What exactly was I supposed to do? Was I supposed to reward his impulsive bad behavior by taking him back again?

Chelsea: You know what? Just jump for joy, Victoria, because you no longer have to please Billy's life.

Kevin: So, we agree -- it's time for coffee.

Victoria: You know, the hell I don't. We have a child together. His name's Johnny. And this baby might be his, too. So, I have every right to do whatever the hell I want to do --

Chelsea: You can't have it both ways. You either want Billy or you don't.

Kevin: Is anybody hungry? I mean, I could eat.

Victoria: Let him go? Why -- so you can have him?

Chelsea: He needed a friend.

Kevin: Oh, to hell with it.

Chelsea: You know what? Billy's in pain, and I understand pain.

Victoria: Oh, right. Of course. And I'm sure you just wanted to bond over your grief in the outback. You know what? You're crazy if you think Billy's ever gonna make that mistake again.

Billy: Things can look what like they aren't.

Jack: Stitch and Kelly were hugging.

Billy: Well, Victoria jumped to conclusions when she saw me hugging Kelly.

Jack: I heard her tell him she still loved him.

Billy: Oh. I'm sorry, Jack.

Jack: Are you really? Hell, I thought you'd be thrilled. It's absolute proof the two of them have been hiding something.

Billy: Well, despite what Kelly said, I regret that I ruined that friendship along with my marriage, and I regret that my brother's in pain due to something that I set in motion.

Jack: You had the right intention.

Billy: There's got to be another way to protect Victoria without hurting everybody that I care about. [Sighs]

Paul: Hey. Hey, what's wrong? Hey, look -- I'm okay. I'm alive and everything.

Christine: I know. I just... I didn't know if I would ever have another moment like this again -- just a quiet moment, you looking at me.

Paul: [Chuckles] You're so beautiful.

Christine: When I heard you were shot --

Paul: Oh, come on. Cut that out. Look at me. I made it.

Christine: I know, but...

Paul: On the road to recovery.

Christine: ...You almost didn't. Todd gave you last rites. That's how close I was to losing you and the future and the family we talked about.

Paul: I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Christine: Well, everything is gonna be fine now.

Paul: Yeah?

Christine: Yeah.

Paul: All that time I was helping Nikki search for those birth records... I had no idea I was searching for my own child.

Christine: [Sighs]

Paul: What are...the odds of that?

Christine: You know, I don't -- I don't want to talk about odds anymore. That's all I've been hearing about from the doctors these last few days, you know -- the odds of finding a match to your rare blood type and the odds of finding a liver available, the odds of you surviving. I just want to think about our life together. That's all.

Paul: I love you.

Christine: I love you. [Crying] You came back to me.

Ian: I was perfectly content to live my life helping people find their purpose, and then Avery and Dylan showed up at my door, and, suddenly, I was meeting with a grown son that I didn't know anything about -- a grown son who hated me because of the stories you concocted.

Nikki: Oh. Oh. I concocted them?

Ian: Yes, concocted, to ease your guilt about abandoning Dylan when he was a baby.

Avery: I can't listen to this anymore. Nikki, you shouldn't, either.

Ian: Well...

Nikki: I did not abandon my child. I gave him a chance -- a chance to become a better man than you'll ever be.

Ian: There's no telling what kind of man I would have been if I had known my son from birth.

Nikki: He's not your son, so stop saying that he is!

Victor: Will you please stop getting yourself worked up over this man, okay? Please consider your health.

Nikki: I'm fine.

Ian: Yes, your M.S., Nikki.

Victor: How -- please, how is Dylan?

Ian: The poor young man has been through so much, all due to your wife, Victor.

Nikki: Oh, god.

Ian: She should be held accountable.

Victor: You get your ass out of here now.

Ian: Heh. Heh.

Victor: This is not your fault, sweetheart, okay?

Nikki: I don't want to believe that it is, but... I don't know. I can't help but think that Ian has a point.

Chelsea: Stop underestimating Billy. He is fully capable of knowing when --

Victoria: When he's being seduced.

Chelsea: My god. You are so off base...

Kevin: Dude, I tried.

Chelsea: ...Thinking I would ever use our losses --

Victoria: "Our losses"? Hold on a second. You know, you might be sad bee anymore, but that's not the same as losing a baby -- a baby that your beloved husband left to die by the side of the road. So, don't try to compare your pain to Billy's, okay? Don't do that.

Billy: Chelsea, you don't have to defend me... or explain your grief.

Victoria: [Sighs]

Billy: Vicki...

Victoria: I-I get it. So, only my friends should be subjected to intense scrutiny. Is that what it is?

Billy: I crossed the line with the whole Australia thing. I admit that. But [Sighs] That doesn't give you the right to take it out on Chelsea.

Jack: You got a minute?

Kelly: Not really. Uh, cane and lily headed to Paris. I'm on double duty.

Jack: I just came by to apologize for what happened.

Kelly: [Sighs] You know, it's not up to you to clean up Billy's mess.

Jack: No, I want to say I'm sorry for the mess I made. I told you you had a right to a past, that I wouldn't judge, and that's exactly what I did -- I judged -- and I'm sorry.

Kelly: All right.

Jack: I'm also sorry that you didn't think you could trust me enough to tell me what was going on with you and stitch. I'm sure you didn't mean to hurt me.

Kelly: I didn't. I didn't mean to hurt you.

Jack: Well, if we go on, us -- we -- I'm only gonna get hurt more. It took a lot for me to step out after Phyllis... and I guess I can thank you for helping me start to heal.

Kelly: Jack, just let me explain, okay?

Jack: You don't owe me an explanation.

Kelly: No, I know, but I want to tell you the truth.

Leslie: Um, I mean, I could study architecture, maybe, or psychology. I mean, defending accused criminals -- it definitely --

Barton: Do I need to remind you why I fell so madly in love with you and married you so quickly?

Leslie: Please. Yes, remind me.

Barton: Leslie, you are a determined, self-made woman who fights for what she wants and is damn good at what she does. You don't need another career because, baby, you already got one.

Leslie: Okay, but I'm saying if Ian --

Barton: No. No "buts." Baby, you will come out on top of this. Okay? That's what we do.

Leslie: Oh. "That's what we do."

Barton: Yes, that's right.

Leslie: [Laughing] Okay.

Barton: All right? I've got to get back to the hospital. Thank you for this beautiful dinner.

Leslie: Thank you.

Barton: I love you.

Leslie: I love you.

Barton: See you tonight.

Leslie: Okay.

Ian: Well, now, just the woman I was looking for.

Leslie: So that you can remind me that my days as an attorney are numbered if you complain to the ethics committee?

Ian: Actually, Leslie, I'm here to offer you a way out of this mess.

Victor: What do you mean when you say Ian Ward has a point? That slimeball has been lying to you for decades.

Nikki: I know that he would say anything to serve his own purposes, but in this situation, he's not all wrong.

Victor: What do you mean, he's not all wrong? Why are you saying that?

Nikki: The choices that I made put Dylan on his path, and that led him here to this hospital.

Victor: I don't understand any of what you say. Dylan knew full well what the risks were when he offered to donate part of his liver.

Nikki: Only because he overheard me with Paul talking about it.

Victor: You are not to be blamed!

Stitch: Okay. That's fine. Avery's with Dylan?

Nikki: Do you have news?

Stitch: Why don't we go to Dylan's room?

Avery: Stitch... what did you find out?

Stitch: Dylan's bloodwork came back.

Victor: And?

Stitch: It's worse than I thought.

Christine: All right, sweetie. Just close your eyes and get some sleep.

Paul: I need to thank Dylan first.

Christine: Nikki will give him the message.

Paul: Will you go and see if he can come back here?

Christine: Listen, honey, you both had major surgery. Neither of you should be getting out of bed.

Paul: But he was here before, wasn't he? I remember.

Christine: He was, against doctors' orders. But you need to rest. You'll have plenty of time to bond with him later.

Avery: What do you mean, worse? What does that mean for him?

Stitch: Dylan is suffering from an infection. It's very aggressive, and it's caused his body to go into gram-negative sepsis and shock.

Nikki: Oh, my god.

Avery: Sepsis? That's...

Stitch: Very serious. But we're gonna start him on some high-powered antibiotics, and, hopefully, he'll respond.

Victor: And if he doesn't?

Stitch: We'll do everything we can.

Ian: I'd be willing to keep your little breech of ethics to myself if you do something for me in return.

Leslie: Hmm. A deal with the devil?

Ian: [Chuckles] Well, I won't ask for your firstborn -- just some legal help, which would save your career.

Leslie: What kind of legal help, Ian?

Ian: I want to sue Nikki Newman.

Leslie: What? On what grounds?

Ian: She's caused me severe emotional distress. Surely, that's actionable.

Victoria: I'll make you a deal, Billy -- you leave my friends alone, and I'll stay away from yours.

Billy: [Sighs]

Chelsea: Thanks for sticking up for me, but I don't think it helped your cause with Victoria.

Billy: Yeah, well, it may be a lost one since I've been acting like a complete jackass. I should have taken your advice and Kelly's and Jack's that digging up dirt on stitch was not the way to win my wife back.

Chelsea: Probably.

Billy: I'm sorry for dragging you into this, Chels. Maybe we should just forget the whole thing.

Kevin: Are you sure about that? 'Cause I just found something interesting.

Kelly: My past with Ben is complicated, which is why I don't talk about it. But what you overheard earlier -- that's true. I will always love him.

Jack: Then you did have an affair with him?

Kelly: No, Jack. I told you it wasn't like that. Ben is...my brother.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Jill: I think you should save yourself the embarrassment. Just give up on Victoria.

Colin: I said I needed a little more time.

I'm afraid you're all out.

Chelsea: Has Ben Rayburn been up to no good?

Kevin: Not since he graduated high school and died in a car crash.
