Episode # 10436 ~ Summer asks Avery to defend Austin; Stitch wants to tell Victoria about his past before Billy figures it out.
Provided By Suzanne
Victor: Doc. Stitch.
Stitch: Mr. Newman.
Victor: Um... has Dylan McAvoy been approved as a potential donor for the transplant that Paul needs?
Stitch: It's rough, Mr. Newman, but no. His combat injuries kept him out. It's too big a risk. We can't sign off on major surgery for Dylan.
Victor: So how long do you think Paul can survive without a transplant?
Stitch: Days, maybe.
Victor: Is there any way that I can help to increase the possibility of finding a donor?
Stitch: Like donate another wing here at the hospital and Paul gets a liver? Not this time. Even for you.
Kelly: [Sighs] I'm just getting my coffee and leaving, okay? I'm not gonna add to your nausea.
Victoria: Wait. I want to talk to you about Ben.
Kelly: Me?
Victoria: Well, yeah. I mean, obviously it's got to be you.
Kelly: He told you.
Chelsea: Mom, of course I trust you with Connor. The babysitter's there. No, sorry. That's not what I meant. Of course I trust you. Just -- she's a professional, you know? He did? Another tooth? Oh, my gosh, I love his sweet teeth. Will you take a picture for me? Okay. I will. Love you. Bye.
[Knock on door]
Billy: All right, let's get a move on. Time to talk to Jenna. Get the story on saint stitch.
Chelsea: Okay, can you just slow down a second? Just give me two seconds?
Billy: No, not today. 'Cause whatever stitch did to drive away his wife, I'm not gonna give him the chance to do that with Victoria.
Chelsea: [Sighs]
Jack: They got to be done interviewing Summer soon.
Nick: We told that cop when he came by the underground that Summer was an innocent bystander. What do they even need to talk to her for?
Jack: Building a case against Austin, maybe.
Nick: Or against Summer.
Jack: They wouldn't dare.
Nick: You sure about that?
Avery: Where's Summer?
Jack: They're interviewing her right now.
Nick: Or interrogating her. And since she's a legal adult, we can't insist on being in there -- either one of us.
Jack: Nick is concerned they're gonna charge Summer as an accessory. I have a Jabot lawyer in there with her right now. As soon as they're through talking to her, he'll tell us what's going on.
Avery: It should have never gotten this far.
Nick: What's the matter with you? Huh? Huh?! You pull a gun on this woman, you shoot the chief!
Jack: Nick, Nick! Don't do anything to make them toss this arrest.
Nick: What did he say to her? Huh? Did he try and implicate my daughter?
Harding: Full confession of how he put the chief in ICU.
Avery: Your attorney allowed that?
Harding: Waived his right to counsel. So now he's gonna go sit and stew until we bring him in the cell. Come on.
Avery: Can I speak to the suspect?
[Door closes]
Jack: Summer!
Nick: Thank God.
Summer: Have you seen Austin? Is he okay?
Dylan: I was really hoping that I would be able to help Paul. If I could, I absolutely would. I just wanted to let you know. Nikki? Are you okay?
Nikki: Yes, I -- I'm just worried.
Dylan: Is something else going on? More than what's happening with Paul?
Nikki: I know how badly you wanted to help him. I don't like to see you hurting.
Dylan: Look, obviously I don't know you as well as Nick and Victoria do, but... I can tell when you're not saying something.
Nikki: All right. You deserve to know. Victor tracked down Willa Ward.
Dylan: He found her. How?
Nikki: I don't ask those questions. All I know is she is here in town right now.
Dylan: Did she talk? Or is she playing games? What exactly does she have on my father?
Jack: Where's the lawyer I sent in there? He's supposed to protect you.
Summer: Yeah, the police aren't charging me, so I told him he could go.
Nick: Good. No charges? That is great.
Jack: They're not letting Paul's condition color their vision.
Nick: All right, we're gonna get you out of here.
Summer: I can't go. Where's Austin?
Jack: He's in the interrogation room, after which he will go to his cell.
Summer: Oh, my God.
Nick: A cell is where this kid belongs. He's a dangerous criminal, and he's lucky he's in one piece after what he's done to Avery, Paul, and you.
Summer: Okay, no matter what Austin's done, he isn't what you think he is.
Jack: Summer, Paul Williams is fighting for his life right now because of Austin's bullet. You really want to defend a guy like that?
Avery: We spend a lot of time together, you and me. This time no camera, no cooking. And no gun.
Austin: How's the chief?
Avery: The internal damage is extensive. He might not make it. Which means the charges could be increased.
Austin: I know, and I confessed, and I just -- he's not alone, is he? He has family?
Avery: Yes. They're very worried.
Austin: But he could make it. Not for me. I'm not saying that. I'm just -- he can make it.
Avery: We hope so.
Austin: I hate guns. That's how my mother was killed. Gun, a killer, a bullet. I never wanted --
Avery: Austin, I believe you.
Austin: I confessed. I know what I am, okay? And -- [Scoffs] What do you want from me? Why are you still here?
Nikki: Of course, Willa wanted money.
Dylan: Figures. That's why she ditched me and went straight to Victor -- deeper pockets.
Nikki: Which I'm sure you would have conveyed to her if you had caught up with her since. That's probably what Victor authorized you to do in the first place.
Dylan: Willa thinks like Ian, taking advantage of people to get what she wants.
Nikki: There are a lot of evil people in the world. But an awful lot of good ones, too.
Dylan: Like Paul. And I can't help him. Even though my blood type matches, even though it was my fault that he walked into that situation with Austin, I can't fix it.
Nikki: For a very noble reason. I mean, everything that you did in the war -- you saved countless people. [Sighs] It's not your fault your body --
Dylan: But how do the doctors really know, anyway? I could be fine.
Nikki: Or you could die. Now, you can't trade your life for Paul's. I'm not planning on losing either one of you.
Victor: Stitch, in my opinion, I've lived longer than you. There's always a solution to any problem. You just got to look hard enough, you know?
Stitch: I agree, and that means I'm gonna do my damnedest to find a donor for Paul.
Victor: I know you will, and I want you to know that I respect Paul Williams a lot, all right? He and Nikki have known each other probably since they were teenagers. They're fond of each other. So I want you to do everything you can to find a donor.
Stitch: That's how you raised Victoria, isn't it? Complete support.
Victor: You bet. You may have not have heard that I love my children and grandchildren more than almost anything else in my life, okay? So, if Victoria brings another Newman into the world, I'll be very proud. Especially if you happen to be the father.
Stitch: She told you?
Victor: You bet. I'm her dad.
Stitch: It's complicated.
Victor: [Laughs] Love always is, stitch.
Stitch: And that doesn't bother you?
Victor: It bothers me, as far as Victoria's concerned. You know, she is worried... about who the father may be. But as a grandparent, I've got to tell you that I prefer you to be the father. I've great respect for what you've accomplished. You have a medical degree, you went to medical school, and you're an army vet. I respect that a great deal. I certainly prefer you as a father to that degenerate, hopeless alcoholic Billy Abbott.
Victoria: Ben told me the whole story. You know, it's shocking. It's really -- it's kind of horrifying. You think you know exactly what somebody is capable of, and then they just take it to the next level.
Kelly: Look, I -- I hate that you had to find out. But I'm glad that he told you, and I'm glad that it's out in the open now.
Victoria: I really hate that this happened, too. And I hate the lying, and I hate the covering up.
Kelly: I hope you told him that.
Victoria: Believe me. I certainly intend to when he gets back from Australia.
Kelly: Wait, uh --
Victoria: Traipsing off with Chelsea to Melbourne to dig around in Ben's past when it's clearly none of their business.
Kelly: Oh. Yeah. Billy.
Victoria: Yeah, Billy. So... thank you, as bizarre as that may sound. Thanks for warning Ben about what Billy was up to.
Kelly: Well, you know, Billy might...still find something out or Ben could tell you himself.
Victoria: Yeah, well, that's between Ben and me. But what I still don't understand is after your history with Billy and, clearly, your dislike of Ben... why would you warn him? Why would you say anything at all?
Chelsea: Jenna, it's great to see you again. We just need a little more background information before we bring in our camera crew.
Billy: Between your cheekbones and your story, you're really doing us a big favor. You know, expats down under is good TV.
Jenna: Right. Your documentary. The one that doesn't exist. Yeah, thank you for your business card. The contact number goes to a deli in New York. So before I tell you to get out, why don't you tell me what you're really doing here.
Chelsea: That's crazy about the number -- a deli? No. You must have mis-dialed.
Jenna: Get out.
Chelsea: Okay, you're right. The TV thing was a front. We're human rights workers looking into the exploitation of expats.
Jenna: Seriously? Is that the best that you can do? Do I look exploited to you?
Billy: You're right. She's usually a better liar than that, but, uh, you put her on the spot.
Jenna: This isn't amusing. Having you lie your way into my home.
Billy: Well, I think your ex-husband has lied his way into my home. With my wife and my son.
Jenna: Your wife?
Chelsea: That's the reason we're here. It's because of Ben. And Billy's wife, Victoria.
Jenna: You know what? Ben is single. We are divorced, so I don't care what he does.
Billy: Yeah, how about the fact that your son may now have a little brother or sister? Stitch moved in on my wife when we were going through some difficult times and now she's pregnant.
Jenna: It's still not my problem.
Billy: You divorced the guy. And you took your kid and moved halfway around the world. That's not because stitch is an upstanding citizen. Okay? And now he is alone with my wife and my son, and I know it. I can feel it. They are not safe with him. So tell me what stitch has done so I can protect my family. My wife and my son. And the unborn baby, no matter who the father is. Tell me what stitch did.
Victoria: I know what Ben told you, but the question is why? Things seemed pretty odd between the two of you when you were in my house. But I just chalked that up to the fact that you slept with my husband and then had the decency to feel awkward in my home.
Victoria: Ben tells me that you know each other, but you're not that close. But then this happens. I mean, did you tell him for my sake?
Kelly: Ben needed to know.
Victoria: Ben? Not me? So you did it for him. Answer my question. Why?
Stitch: Hey. More toast? You feeling okay?
Victoria: Yeah. I'm okay. How's Paul?
Stitch: No change.
Kelly: You two need to talk. And I need my coffee. Excuse me.
Stitch: I, uh, saw your dad at the ICU. He is all about finding a liver for Paul.
Victoria: I'm sure some vague bribe went along with that.
Stitch: [Chuckles]
Victoria: It's for my mother, you know. She and Paul have decades of history together, and when she's hurting, he'd do anything to help her.
Stitch: Or anything to help you. He and I -- that was a good talk. About you and the baby. Very good.
Victoria: So then he gave you his blessing. He must like you.
Stitch: Or he just hates Billy that much.
Victoria: I think my father sees in you what I see.
Stitch: You know, we didn't get to talk the other day about things. Your mom came in and I had to take that call from the hospital.
Victoria: Do you want to talk now?
Dylan: Sorry to interrupt. Stitch, I really need to talk to you.
Stitch: Mac, can it wait?
Dylan: No, it can't. We're running out of time.
[Door opens]
Victor: There you are!
Nikki: Hi.
Victor: The guards told me you were here.
Nikki: Yep.
Victor: Hi, sweetheart. Mm. [Sighs] So, did you tell Dylan about Ian Ward's ex-wife?
Nikki: He was so upset when I spoke to him. You know, the hospital won't let him be a donor for Paul.
Victor: I know.
Nikki: 'Cause of his war injuries.
Victor: Dr. Rayburn told me, but he also promised me that he'd do everything in his power to find a donor.
Nikki: That's good news, I suppose.
Victor: Yeah. So, did you give Dylan the information?
Nikki: Victor, I just couldn't. To tell him that -- let him know that the man who might be his father, that he can't help him. I just couldn't make him suffer like that.
Victor: Although it's about Dylan's life.
Nikki: Well, yes, but we think we know who is father is, but we know for a fact who his mother is, and I just can't put him through that heartache.
Victor: Now you understand that sometimes it is kinder to keep certain truths away from our children.
Nikki: I know you're making a point.
Victor: Yep.
Nikki: And I have to say... I do understand why you have kept some secrets from the kids.
Victor: So you agree with me?
Nikki: Well, I don't know that we're in agreement, but I can see your point of view.
Victor: You can? Well, that's a step in the right direction. Now, if we find out that whatever Ian Ward's ex-wife claims is true --
Nikki: If -- exactly. And Dylan was conceived years ago. I mean, maybe Willa couldn't get pregnant when she knew him, but years ago when I knew him, it was possible. I'm just not going to upend Dylan's life on a maybe.
Victor: You know what I admire about Dylan? Is his willingness to want to help Paul Williams.
Nikki: So you admire him.
Victor: Yeah, he seems a nice guy. And had a few talks with him. We reached a certain level of understanding, I think.
Nikki: Well, he's the same man that he was when he came to town. Very loyal, honest, earnest. I'm really happy to hear that you see it now.
Victor: Well, I didn't know him before. But let me say this -- whatever admirable traits he does have... he inherited them from you.
Nikki: Does that mean... you accept him as my son?
Victor: Sweetheart, you're his mother. Whether I accept him or not, that doesn't change the fact that you're his mother.
Dylan: Paul only has a few days, so how much closer are you to finding a donor?
Stitch: Not closer at all.
Dylan: I'm right here.
Stitch: Okay, rule number one of the Hippocratic oath, "do no harm." Cutting you open with your medical history would harm you plenty.
Dylan: Well, shouldn't it be my choice?
Stitch: Shouldn't it also be the choice of the doctor who's operating on you? I've seen your medical records, Mac. You're banged up. You don't even have a spleen.
Dylan: Yeah, but I have a liver, and I want to give part of it to Paul. What's the problem?
Stitch: Okay, you need to stop this. One thing doctors and soldiers have in common is sometimes no matter how hard you try, you can't save someone.
Dylan: Like I don't know that.
Stitch: Paul isn't sully. At least you were there with him in the field. I mean, I was back in the states.
Dylan: With your wife and kid where you belonged.
Stitch: And now they're the ones thousands of miles away. If I get this chance, if -- [Sighs] If the baby is mine, then I can do it all over again.
Dylan: Whoa, whoa. Who?
Stitch: Victoria.
Dylan: Victoria? You and Victoria?
Stitch: Yes.
Dylan: She's pregnant and it's not Billy's?
Stitch: Well, she's not exactly sure yet.
Dylan: Because you and my sister --
Stitch: Hey, it was one time.
Dylan: That's all it takes.
Stitch: To kill a night, you know?
Dylan: You were supposed to back off and give her some room.
Stitch: Mac, I care about Victoria. And regardless of who the father is... I'm not backing off.
Dylan: [Sighs]
Nick: All right, we're gonna talk more about this later, but we're gonna get you home, and you're not going to the penthouse. You're either gonna go to Jack's or to my place.
Summer: I'm not gonna go anywhere until I see Austin.
[Cell phone rings]
Jack: Hi, Kelly.
Kelly: Hi. Um, is this a bad time? I just want to see whether you managed to talk to Summer.
Jack: Oh, we're trying. She's still standing behind this guy, even after what he did to Paul Williams. [Sighs] I just -- I can't believe she doesn't see that this guy is dangerous and he's gonna bring her down.
Kelly: Well, you know, sometimes the hardest part of being a parent is when you realize you can't protect them. I wish I could be there for you, Jack. I just -- I think it would be hard on Summer, you know?
Jack: No, I'm glad you called. I needed to hear your voice. God, to see her so torn up over this delinquent.
Kelly: Look, you're there. And you'll be there for her when she needs you to pick up the pieces.
Nick: Summer.
Summer: I just want to check on him and make sure he stays in one piece.
Nick: You got to give the people on the force more credit than that. I mean, Courtney's one of them.
Summer: I just want to see him. And since that drives you crazy, then maybe you should go in there with Jack. He knows how to back off.
Nick: All right, sweetheart, you told me that things were very complicated with Austin and this was before you knew why he was in town. I mean, why was he in Avery's apartment? To gain her trust, to gain your trust.
Summer: I wasn't part of some plan.
Nick: But he did have a plan. He bought a gun and Paul nearly died from it.
Summer: Yeah, it was an accident.
Nick: So you say he did not hold Avery at gunpoint?
Summer: Look, I know Austin and what he did was terrible, but that's not what he is.
Nick: Then what is he?
Summer: Really? Really? You don't even want to know.
Nick: He confessed and he's gonna go to prison. And the sooner you accept the fact that he's not gonna be a part of your life, the better off you'll be. I'm just so grateful that things didn't get out of hand between you two.
Austin: Why are you staring at me? What do you expect me to say?
Avery: You waived your right to an attorney and you made a full confession. Austin, you can take responsibility for your actions without throwing away all your rights. Allow them to assign you a public defender if you can't afford an attorney.
Austin: No, they'll give me someone like you. Someone who put murderers back on the streets to kill people.
Avery: That's not what I do.
Austin: Okay, I have one question. Just one and then you need to go. The man who went on to kill my mother -- did you really believe he was innocent when you helped him go free?
Avery: [Sighs]
Nick: Summer, this past year, I know I hurt you in the worst possible way. That and you being an adult now, maybe I don't have the right to give you advice.
Summer: Maybe?
Nick: Sweetheart, I love you. You know that. And seeing you in danger or at risk, I can't just say nothing. Your mother would kill me. You are so much like Phyllis. You feel things deep down. Which means you also get hurt deep down. And adults make mistakes all the time that hurt like hell, and I don't want that to happen to you.
Victor: Dylan was asking again, wasn't he? To see if he can still be Paul's donor.
Dylan: Among other things. Yeah, I asked about Paul.
Stitch: And the answer is still no. But I got to get back to memorial. When my shift's over, maybe we could have that talk.
Victor: Yeah, of course. Whenever you're ready.
Stitch: All right.
Kelly: Ben.
Stitch: I got to get to work.
Kelly: You haven't told Victoria yet. Have you?
Stitch: Look, I keep trying but stuff gets in the way. And the longer this gets dragged out, hell, maybe I'm not supposed to tell her.
Kelly: If you don't, somebody will, and you know it will be awful.
Stitch: Yeah, I know. I lived through it once and lost my family.
Dylan: So, decaf for you from now on?
Victor: Ben told you I'm pregnant.
Dylan: Congratulations. He also said there was some question regarding --
Victoria: Billy is the father or if Ben is the father -- that's an uncomfortable topic.
Dylan: Okay, well, we know one thing for sure. That I'm gonna be an uncle.
Victoria: You are.
Dylan: Right. Faith, Johnny, Summer -- man, I'm really gonna have to step it up this Christmas.
Victoria: Unless you want to run screaming from this insane family.
Dylan: You know, after faith, you were the first Newman to be nice to me, and that's before we found out we were family. And I'll never forget that.
Victoria: I'm glad you're my brother, Dylan.
Dylan: Yeah, I'm glad, too. There's something to be said for having family.
Billy: Whatever happened between you and Rayburn, whatever he is capable of --
Jenna: Good luck to your wife, Victoria. She'll need it. Now I'd really like for you to leave.
Billy: You tell me that my wife needs luck and then you expect me to walk out the door? What did that slimeball do?
Chelsea: Listen. Listen. It wasn't all lies before, the things that I said to you. I do have a son, and I am raising him without his father. And just like you and max, all I want to do is protect him. That's all Billy's trying to do, is protect his wife.
Jenna: My God! You do not give up, do you?
Chelsea: Jenna, is there anything you can tell us about Ben?
Billy: Just tell us about Kelly. Tell us about Kelly at least. I mean, what is all of that? What is she to him?
Jenna: Kelly? She's there? What did she tell you?
Billy: Just that she and Ben used to know each other. But they always dodge the issue.
Chelsea: Jenna. Is Kelly the reason you and stitch broke up?
Chelsea: Whatever connection
Chelsea: Whatever connection Ben and Kelly have, it's obvious there is one.
Billy: If he stepped out, that's his fault. It's not yours.
Jenna: [Scoffs] I don't need your reassurance. Look, you're here because your wife doesn't want you anymore. It has nothing to do with me, so let her go. Leave her alone.
Chelsea: That's you talking to stitch. I think you want him out of your life.
Billy: Because of Kelly, right?
Jenna: Kelly is not innocent, but what Ben did -- [Scoffs] His lies.
Billy: What lies? Why are you protecting him?
Jenna: I don't give a damn what happens to Ben.
Billy: Well, if not him, then who?
Jenna: Get out!
Chelsea: Okay, he's sorry. Honestly, we both are.
Jenna: I mean it! Get out! Before I call the police!
Chelsea: Okay. Okay.
[Door opens]
Billy: Victoria is my whole life. [Scoffs]
[Door closes]
Kelly: The last time that I saw you, you were on your way to tell her, so I don't get it. What happened? Billy is gonna be back soon, and even if Jenna doesn't tell him, he's not gonna give up. And if Jack finds out any of this --
Stitch: It won't come to that.
Kelly: You understand it has to be now.
Stitch: Once my shift is over. When I have time to make her understand.
Kelly: You really think she'll understand?
[Cell phone rings]
Stitch: Jenna.
Nikki: Well, you have made me so happy and proud that you've changed your opinion of Dylan.
Victor: Well, let me just say that I think he's a rather decent fellow, you know? But that doesn't mean I'm gonna spend time with him.
Nikki: No, no, no. For now. I understand.
Victor: Truth be told, I admire the fact that he is willing to donate one of his organs to a man that he doesn't really know that well. That he knows that you care for Paul Williams. That's why he's doing it. I admire that.
Nikki: Well, really, all that we have in this life are the people that we love and care about. And all we want is time with them.
Victor: That is true.
Nikki: I've had a lot of time to think about things lately.
Victor: What have you thought?
Nikki: Oh, lots of things. Um, I've thought about what you did to Sharon. And I'm afraid I cannot forgive you for that.
Victor: Oh, I don't care if you forgive me for that or not. I'm not asking for forgiveness.
Nikki: Well, forgiveness or not... I do love you. And I want to spend more time with you.
Austin: Yes or no?
Avery: [Sighs]
Austin: Did you honestly believe that scum was innocent when you defended him?
Avery: Yes. Yes, Austin, I did.
Austin: Maybe you were wrong. Maybe he was guilty all along. What? You've never been wrong before?
Avery: No, Austin, I've been wrong... many times about people. In fact, I became a defense attorney because somebody that I loved very much I felt was wrongly convicted, and it turned out he was guilty.
Austin: See?
Avery: But, Austin... deep down, I knew the truth. I just didn't want to see it because... it was my own father. Now, with Boz foreman, I believe he was innocent of the charges that I defended him against. I still believe that. What happened after that, I don't know. And I am truly sorry about what happened to your mother. I know my apology doesn't bring her back, but neither does your rage. It just keeps you in that chair.
Summer: I should be in there with him.
Jack: You're not his lawyer. You're not his family.
Summer: No, but I'm the only person who cares about him.
Nick: And does he care about you? 'Cause him taking you on the run with him was selfish as hell. It's about what he wanted, not what's good for you.
Avery: You know, when you came into my home and you ordered me around, you joked that I took too long. I didn't think you were a bad guy. And even when I found out you were 4mj and you insisted that I take responsibility for your mother's death, I thought you and I could both walk away from this. But then the gun, Austin. And then things got out of control, and now Paul's wife is terrified she's gonna lose him.
Austin: She can blame me. Okay? I confessed. I admitted what I did. So should you.
[Door opens]
Summer: Are you okay?
Avery: Summer, you can't be in here.
Austin: She's right. You shouldn't be here.
Summer: No. This is exactly where I should be.
Dylan: [Chuckles] What?
Victoria: You know, milk and cookies. People might try to accuse us of recreating the childhood that we never had.
Dylan: Well, maybe I love cookies. Or maybe I just wanted an excuse to talk to you and make sure you're doing okay.
Victoria: Why? Just because I'm finally pregnant after years of infertility? Because I'm separated from my husband and I don't know who the father is?
Dylan: Yeah, all that.
Victoria: You're not gonna judge me, are you?
Dylan: Not a chance.
Victoria: I really appreciate that. And you're not gonna say, "wow. Stitch sure would make a great father."
Stitch: Ah, you know, the guy's on the ugly side. He's got real beady eyes.
Victoria: [Chuckles]
Dylan: Look, stitch and I go way back. But Billy's a good guy, too, so I'm not gonna judge. I'm not gonna offer an opinion. I want things to work out for you in the best way possible.
Victoria: I know. But you know what? What is the best way possible? No matter what, somebody's gonna get hurt. I just know the one person that can't be effected in all this is the baby.
Billy: What is with that woman? She gave us nothing on stitch. Whatever happened to throwing people under the bus?
Chelsea: Well, at least we know that Kelly is a major player in this. I mean, I assume it's an affair.
Billy: She was weird about that, right? That there was more to it?
Chelsea: Yeah, I mean, she definitely seemed surprised that Kelly and stitch still have contact.
Billy: Not even knowing about Kelly and I.
Chelsea: Yeah.
Billy: Now she's seeing my brother. What's with her? She seems honest enough. There's something underneath, right?
Chelsea: Right. So, if we can't dig into stitch's past... it's time we dig into Kelly's.
Stitch: Billy and Chelsea were there?
Jenna: Yes. They gave fake names and lied their way in, but, yeah. Desperate to know all about me and all about you.
Stitch: What did you tell them?
Jenna: Nothing. But on the message, you said you were gonna tell the woman yourself. Victoria? Who might be pregnant with your child?
Stitch: They told you. Fine. But I meant what I said. Victoria will hear it from me. Not Billy.
Jenna: She shouldn't hear it from anyone.
Stitch: What does that mean?
Jenna: It means you lied to me and max. You can lie to the new love of your life. I moved so that max would not be tainted by what you did. And this -- this can never ever get back to him. If you tell Victoria and she tells other people -- look, I moved once to get away from what you did and I can move again. And this time... I won't tell you where we are.
Stitch: Jenna, are you saying --
Jenna: I'm saying if you want contact with your son, keep your disgusting past to yourself!
Jack: Great. We're both standing out here. She's in there with 4mj. Perfect. Just perfect.
Nick: Just talked her way right into that interrogation room.
Jack: Avery needs to send her back out here.
Nick: But Avery hasn't. What is Summer even saying to him?
Jack: People make the strangest choices. Even as adults, we do things that hurt us.
Nick: I'm not ready for Summer to be an adult. I'm definitely not ready for her to be anywhere near that guy.
Jack: You're right about one other thing. He's going to prison. Maybe she's saying goodbye to him.
Summer: What are they gonna do to him?
Austin: What do you think? I confessed.
Avery: A good attorney can mitigate.
Summer: That's what you need -- a good lawyer.
Avery: That's what I've been trying to tell him.
Summer: He could still fix this.
Avery: Well, it's not a guarantee, but, yes, he could try.
Summer: No, not him. You. You can fix this. Avery, you can defend Austin.
Avery: [Sighs]
Nikki: Oh, you're just gonna make me say it, aren't you?
Victor: [Chuckles] Maybe.
Nikki: You were very good at staying away, respecting my wishes.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Nikki: Kissing me inside my hotel room, and then closing the door, going out in the hall. You didn't plead with me to come home too much.
Victor: I respect your decision.
Nikki: Right now... Paul is in the hospital fighting for his life...
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Nikki: ...So he can be with the person he loves. And the person I love is right here. Right in front of me. So what am I doing not being here? I want to come home and be with you. If that's okay. [Chuckles]
Victor: I love you.
Nikki: I love you.
Victor: I've missed you. Come here, my baby.
Nikki: [Chuckles]
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Christine: I'm so glad you're here.
Jack: As far as taking sides goes, I'll always take Billy's.
Abby: But a piece of trash is always gonna look like nothing but garbage.
Mariah: That's it!
Abby: Aah!
Nick: Oh, no, no, no, no!
