Avery: Okay. Oh, this is too....

[Bowl rattles]

[Bowl clatters]

Avery: Oh, gosh. [Groans]

[Bowl rattles]

Dylan: Avery?

Avery: Yes? What?

Dylan: Are you okay?

Avery: [Exhales deeply] Of course I'm okay. This is what happens when a total klutz tries to do a cooking show.

Dylan: You're not a klutz.

Avery: [Sighs]

Dylan: Okay, maybe you are a little, but that's not why you dropped the bowl. I know how important shooting this pilot is. It's natural that you'd be nervous.

Avery: Okay, it's not just about the show. I am worried about you.

Dylan: Me? Why?

Avery: Yes, because you tossed and turned all night.

Dylan: [Sighs] Did I?

Avery: And I know why. Because your father is back in town.

Paul: Yeah, come in.

[Door opens]

Paul: C.J., If that's the Riley autopsy report, you can just go ahead and put it on Kevin's --

Ian: No hello for an old friend?

Paul: What do you want?

Ian: Well, as chief of police, I thought you might like to know that the wheels of justice continue to turn.

Paul: I heard you slipped through a tiny loophole. You're pressing your luck, coming here to the police department, don't you think?

Ian: Well, where else would I go to report a crime?

Victor: Hi, my sweetheart.

Nikki: Oh. I didn't hear you.

Victor: [Smooching] So, why so deep in thought? Something troubling you? Baby, are you worried about the party tonight? Is it too much for you?

Nikki: No. No. Bonnie has everything under control.

Victor: Well, obviously, something is bothering you. I mean, are you worried that I may start some ruckus with the Abbotts or give our future son-in-law a hard time?

Nikki: No. I know you wouldn't ruin this night for Abby.

Victor: Well, then, sweetheart, what is it?

Nikki: Ian is back in town.

Tyler: [Exhales deeply]

[Both chuckle]

Tyler: That was amazing.

Abby: Ahh. You sound surprised.

Tyler: [Sighs] Well, I was just a little worried that, you know, being engaged might take some of the, you know, out of things, but, man, was I wrong. [Exhales deeply] Who would have thought it'd make things even better? I thought it was better. [Sighs] Okay, what's wrong?

Abby: Are we making a mistake?

Sharon: Hi.

Nick: Hope you don't mind my stopping by.

Sharon: Um, not at all. Come on in. You just missed Faith. Amy took her to school.

Nick: Uh, that's okay. I came to see you anyway.

Sharon: Hmm. You, um, came to see if I survived the night without you?

Nick: Maybe I just came for a cup of coffee, or I probably came to see how you were doing.

Sharon: Well, no nightmares, no phantasms, not even a raccoon in the garbage.

Nick: I'm glad to hear it.

Sharon: What about you? It must have been nice, finally getting to sleep in your own bed. Probably the best night's sleep you've had in a while.

Nick: Actually, I, uh, barely slept at all.

Sharon: Oh. Why?

Nick: 'Cause I couldn't stop thinking about you.

Sharon: I missed you last night, too. And Faith kept asking about you. She wanted to know why you weren't here.

Nick: What'd you tell her?

Sharon: That Daddy was only staying here until Mommy was feeling better, and now that I'm stronger, you had to go back to your own place.

Nick: And she bought that?

Sharon: She's pretty smart.

Nick: Well, maybe we should stop hiding it from her -- how we feel about each other.

Sharon: Well, I didn't know we were hiding it. I mean, we've been spending so much time together.

Nick: Yeah. I know we agreed to take things slow, but I kind of feel like we turned back the clock, and we're starting all over.

Sharon: Maybe that's a good thing. It'll give you time to court me.

Nick: "Court you"? Well, prepare to be courted.

Sharon: [Chuckles]

Nick: Let's go on a date.

Sharon: A date? When?

Nick: Tonight.

Nikki: Dylan called and said that a mistrial had been declared in Ian's case.

Victor: A mistrial? On what grounds?

Nikki: I don't know. He didn't go into details, but he did say there was a possibility there could be a retrial, and until then, Ian is here in Genoa City.

Victor: That son of a --

Nikki: Now, see, this is why I didn't want to tell you, because I knew you would get all worked up.

Victor: Did he contact you? I mean, is that why you were staring at the phone?

Nikki: No.

Victor: Please tell me the truth.

Nikki: Victor, I am telling you the truth. I'm just debating whether or not to call Paul.

Victor: Why would you question that?

Nikki: Because maybe he would be able to force Ian to leave town.

Victor: I do not need Paul Williams to make that happen, okay?

Ian: I left my room, and when I returned, someone had broken in. But why am I wasting your time telling you something you already know?

Paul: Are you suggesting the police broke into your room?

Ian: Whoever did didn't steal anything. They just trashed the place, like they were trying to send me a message.

Paul: Oh, well, if the GCPD were trying to send you a message, we would do so in person.

Ian: Ah.

Paul: And, believe me, it's only a matter of time before we do.

Ian: Was I loitering? Huh? Was I jaywalking? Or perhaps it was some other, uh, trumped-up charge you had in mind, huh?

Paul: You know, whatever it is, I promise you, this time, it will stick.

Ian: No. You're just as self-righteous as ever, Paul. That's a real character flaw, you know? Stunts spiritual growth. I can see that it's damaged yours.

Paul: Oh, well, you don't know a damn thing about me.

Ian: Oh, I know more than you think, Paul. [Chuckles]

Paul: If you want to file a police report, you do so at the desk.

Ian: Thank you. Oh, Paul. Since you're so concerned about upholding the law, you might want to ask yourself something. If the Genoa City Police wasn't trying to send me a message, who was?

Dylan: I'm not gonna let Ian get to me.

Avery: He already has.

Dylan: Well, you know, when he walked into the coffeehouse, he just caught me off-guard. Now that I know he's here, I'm gonna be ready for him.

Avery: A mistrial -- I can count the number of those I've had in my career on one hand.

Dylan: Well, you can thank your partner for that one.

Avery: Yeah, I keep telling myself that Leslie was just doing her job, but --

Dylan: Mm, that's nice and all, but now Ian's free.

Avery: I hate what this has done to you.

Dylan: Okay, stop. I don't want you worrying about me. This is your day, and I don't want anything to spoil it, okay? Deep breath.

Avery: [Exhales deeply]

Dylan: How you doing? You go a few rounds in the kitchen.

Avery: Okay. Sound the bell.

Dylan: Ding! Ding! Go.

Avery: [Growls]

Dylan: Okay, champ, keep it clean, or at least try to keep everything on the counter.

Avery: Hey! [Chuckles]

Dylan: Save that for the soufflé.

Avery: Okay. [Sighs]

Dylan: Is there anything that I can do?

Avery: Yes! You can tell me, apron or no apron? Leslie says no, and I'm inclined to agree with her. I think that a lady that wears glasses and is klutzy like I am -- that might be goofy enough, hmm?

Dylan: Goofy?

Avery: Mm-hmm.

Dylan: You?

Avery: Uh-huh.

Dylan: No way. You're amazing. Mm. Mm. Mm. What is --

Avery: [Gasps] Oh, no! Oh, no! Okay, the crew is gonna be here any minute. I have to change.

Dylan: Well, let me just, you know, help you get out of this thing a little bit right here.

Avery: Dylan.

Dylan: What? I'm just helping you change your wardrobe.

Avery: I have to go find a blouse.

[Cell phone rings]

Dylan: Whoever this is, is killing me right now.

Avery: Ugh. Get it. It's probably work.

Dylan: [Sighs]

Avery: Go. I'll change my blouse.

Dylan: Hello?

Paul: Dylan, it's Paul Williams. Listen, um, I need you to come down to the station.

Dylan: Why?

Paul: I think you know why.

Dylan: [Sighs]

Avery: Hey. Who was on the phone?

[Knock on door]

Dylan: There they are.

Avery: Ohh!

Dylan: There's your crew. I'll get it. You go finish getting ready.

Avery: Thank you.

Dylan: Hey.

Marcus: Ah, the guy that got the whole thing started.

Dylan: Yeah.

Marcus: I'm Marcus. How you doing?

Dylan: Good. Um, she wasn't too happy when I submitted the recipe, but she's amped for today.

Marcus: Well, we are, too, and I'll be producing the pilot today.

Dylan: Great. Well, here's, uh -- here's your star right now.

Avery: Hardly. Hi. You must be Marcus. Uh, we spoke on the phone. I'm Avery.

Marcus: Great to finally meet you. Uh, this is our cameraman, Austin.

Avery: Hi, Austin. Well, I've heard so much about both of you. I'm really excited.

Marcus: Great. Let us, uh, finish getting set up, and we'll get started.

Avery: Okay.

Dylan: Hey. I'm gonna take off -- get out of here.

Avery: You don't have to go.

Dylan: No, no, no. You don't need an audience when you do this. Plus, I got, uh, something to handle.

Avery: Okay.

Dylan: Remember what they say.

Avery: Uh-huh.

Dylan: Break a... never mind. [Chuckles] Don't break anything.

Avery: [Sighs]

Austin: Okay, we just need to mike you, and you're good to go.

Avery: Oh. All right. [Chuckles nervously]

Austin: So, how you doing?

Avery: I'm good. I feel relaxed.

Austin: Oh. Well, most newbies would be nervous.

Avery: Well, I've done a lot of public speaking -- mostly in court, though, so the stakes are a lot higher than this.

Austin: Well, don't tell Marcus that.

Avery: Ah, okay.

Austin: Okay, we're good.

Marcus: All right. Avery Clark cooking pilot.

Austin: Take one.

Tyler: Okay, you know what? You're experiencing pre-wedding jitters. It's normal. It happens all the time.

Abby: Oh, and you know this because you experienced them when you were engaged to -- what's her name?

Tyler: Okay, no, I experienced "pre-wedding, get me the hell out of this nightmare" when I was engaged to Mariah, which is why we ended things.

Abby: Or you were just bored.

Tyler: No. You know what? Mariah and I -- we were doomed right from the get-go.

Abby: Maybe it's the chase you love -- trying to get the girl, the excitement, the thrill of it all -- and then once you get the girl and put a ring on her finger, and her parents are planning this huge engagement party, then -- bam! -- Magic's gone.

Tyler: Whoa. Whoa. Stop. This is not about you having the jitters or me getting bored. You're freaking out about tonight.

Abby: That's ridiculous.

Tyler: Yeah. You're worried about all the Abbotts and all the Newmans being together in one room to celebrate us being engaged.

Abby: We can still change our mind.

Tyler: Oh, no, you're wrong about that. Look at this. It's in print. That makes it official. Hey, we are engaged. Baby, there's no going back now.

Sharon: You want to take me on a date to your dad's house?

Nick: Well, it's more like a family gathering -- two families, really -- the Newmans and the Abbotts.

Sharon: Oh. Another go-round of the Hatfields and the McCoys. Sounds fun.

Nick: Well, rumor has it you have to check your firearm at the door, so...

Sharon: Do you really think that's gonna stop Jack and Victor from going at it?

Nick: Abby's gonna do that, 'cause this is her engagement party, and there's no way Dad or Jack is gonna do anything to ruin this evening for her.

Sharon: Oh, well, I could do that by just showing up.

Nick: Come on. You know that's not true.

Sharon: Abby hates me.

Nick: Well, she's gonna be very busy this evening helping her fiancé through the most grueling night of his life.

Sharon: And what's Victor gonna say when you walk in the door with me?

Nick: He is gonna say exactly what he said when I told him I was bringing you -- nothing. So, there's no problem.

Sharon: But there is one. You should have talked to me before you told him you were bringing me, because I'm not going.

Nikki: Victor, promise me you won't do anything foolish.

Victor: Don't worry about it.

Nikki: I know the kind of man you are. You would do anything to protect your family.

Victor: You got that right.

Nikki: And I understand that. I do. I mean, look at tonight -- you're willing to set aside your hatred for Jack for Abby's sake.

Victor: I don't want you to worry about a damn thing, all right? I'm gonna welcome the Abbotts with open arms. I even told Nicholas that it's okay for him to bring Sharon. I want my children and my grandchildren to know that I love them, no matter what.

Nikki: And they know that. You don't have to keep --

Victor: And I just told you I'm not gonna cause any trouble tonight.

Nikki: What about tomorrow? What about the next day? And the next day -- any day that Ian is in town?

Victor: Are you honestly asking me to forget what that man has done to you and almost to our granddaughter?

Nikki: I'm just asking you to [Inhales deeply] let it go.

Victor: Sometimes, I doubt you know me all that well.

Nikki: Yes, I do, Victor. That's why I am begging you -- please, just forget about Ian, for me.

Austin: Avery.

Avery: Huh? Oh. Hi. Welcome to my kitchen. I'm Avery Bailey Clark, and today I am sharing with you my easy and delicious chocolate-soufflé cake. [Sighs] We have our ingredients. We have butter, bittersweet chocolate, sugar, salt, eggs, and eggs. So, let's get started. Now, many people have their own way of cracking an egg, and I'm gonna show you a little trick that I -- ooh. [Sighs, chuckles nervously] Well, I guess I need a little practice on that trick. Um, I just need to take the, um -- the -- the shells out of the -- ohh!

[Utensils clatter]

Avery: Ohh!

Marcus: Cut! [Clears throat]

Dylan: Did you call me here to tell me you found a reason to throw my dirtbag of a father back in jail?

Paul: No, I didn't, but I did see him. He came here earlier.

Dylan: Uh, for what -- to gloat about being free, or was he here to collect on that "favor" he claims he did for you?

Paul: Neither. He came to file a police report. He claims that someone broke into his hotel room -- trashed the place.

Dylan: Maybe there is justice in this world.

Paul: Was it you?

Dylan: [Sighs] What? Why would I do something like that?

Paul: Because you hate the guy.

Dylan: Well, that part's true.

Paul: And because you want to give him a very clear message to get out of town or else.

Dylan: He'd be smart to listen, but I'm not the messenger.

Paul: Okay, Dylan, I don't think you would resort to threats, but I do think if you honestly believed that he was keeping something from you, you would do whatever you could to find out what it was.

Victor: I don't get you. You want me to forget about a man who took egregious advantage of you when you were young and innocent?

Nikki: I'm just asking you to let it go, Victor -- for me.

Victor: Sweetheart, he's a predator. He's now going after our granddaughter.

Nikki: All right, no, he tried to go after Summer. I was able to stop him. I stood up to him the way I couldn't when he had me under his spell. He can't hurt me anymore, Victor.

Victor: Because I won't let him.

Nikki: Please? Please just let Paul take care of this.

Victor: What do you mean, let Paul take care of this? Are you kidding me? Have you forgotten what the authorities did not do to him? He played them for a fool. He's out of jail now. He's free to come after anyone that is part of my family. Ain't gonna happen.

Nikki: This is exactly what I was worried about. This is why I didn't even tell you I was looking for my son in the beginning because I knew if you found out what Ian had done to me, it would bring up all kinds of rage in you.

Victor: I don't want you to worry about Ian Ward anymore.

Nikki: Don't you understand, Victor? I'm not worried about what Ian will do. I'm scared to death about what you'll do.

Victor: [Inhales deeply] [Exhales deeply]

Abby: You're right. We are freaking out over nothing. Why would the best thing that's ever happened to either one of us suddenly come to a halt 'cause we're getting married? And the party tonight -- no big deal. It's just a family get-together. Everything's good. I mean, you will be bombarded with questions, but nothing you can't handle.

Tyler: Wait. What kind of questions? What are you talking about -- like, if I'm good enough for you?

Abby: Hmm. You are marrying into two pretty intense families. But you've already gone head-to-head with my dad -- literally -- and you guys are good -- good as he is with anyone else. And as far as everyone else goes, they'll be too busy arguing with each other to even worry about grilling you, except for my mom. She'll have some questions for you, but just wear that black jacket you look so sexy in, and, hey, what's wrong?

Tyler: You were right. This is a big mistake.

Nick: I thought you'd want to be a part of the Newman family gathering.

Sharon: I appreciate it. I appreciate you standing up to Victor for me, but I don't want to be used.

Nick: You think that's what I'm doing?

Sharon: I think you might be throwing me in Victor's face to prove to him that he can't manipulate you the way that he did with Adam.

Nick: [Whistles] Wow. That is a heck of an accusation.

Sharon: Do you deny it?

Nick: I won't deny that I can't stand the fact that Dad used Adam's involvement in Delia's death to get closer to his grandson, but that is not why I asked you. I asked you 'cause I want to be with you, and I'm tired of hiding it.

Sharon: I really want that to be true.

Nick: Believe it. It's the truth. But if you don't want to go, then we're not going.

Sharon: Well, you have to go. It's your family.

Nick: You're my family, too. You've been in my life almost as long as they have. We've been through a lot together.

Sharon: Not all of it good.

Nick: Yet here we are, where we always end up -- back together.

Sharon: Yeah.

Nick: It's like we're two halves of a whole, Sharon. We're no good without the other. Or maybe I'm the only one who feels like that.

Sharon: No, you're not, Nick. I have never been good without you.

Avery: I'm so sorry. I was trying to reach for a fork and look at the lens at the same time, and --

Austin: Don't worry about the camera. Just cook.

Avery: But don't I have to connect with the audience?

Austin: No, it's my job to find you -- not the other way around. And just be yourself. That's what people responded to in your demo.

Avery: [Sighs] How do you know that?

Austin: 'Cause I was one of them.

Avery: You?

Austin: Yeah. You made that key lime pie look so good, I wanted to reach in the computer and try it.

Avery: Oh, well, if we get through this shoot, I will make one especially for you.

Austin: Oh, it's okay. Actually, my girlfriend already did.

Avery: Really?

Austin: Yeah.

Marcus: So, are we setting up for another shot, or are we done for the day?

Avery: [Sighs] Over a few cracked eggshells? Marcus. No way. Let's do this.

Marcus: Okay. Avery Clark. Take two.

Avery: Hi. Welcome to my kitchen. I'm Avery Bailey Clark, and today, I am sharing with you my chocolate-soufflé cake that is so simple --

[Cell phone rings]

Avery: It's so simple that you can field calls from the office while you do it. Alicia, hi. What's up? Okay, well, you tell mister -- you tell our client not to panic. I have full confidence the motion will be granted. Well, if he's still worried, have him call me at the office. All right. Thank you. Okay, we've got all of our ingredients set. Oven's hot. Let's make a chocolate-soufflé cake.

Dylan: Ian claims to have a secret. I never said I believed him.

Paul: Are you saying you don't?

Dylan: The guy's a con artist. This is the oldest trick in the book. You find some poor sucker, convince him you have information he wants, and string him along until he's willing to do anything to figure out what it is.

Paul: Right. So, did it work? Did you go on a little scavenger hunt in Ian Ward's hotel room to see what he was keeping from you?

Dylan: When I found out that scum was back in town, I wanted to rip apart a whole lot more than his hotel room.

Paul: Well, Dylan, if you do that, you're gonna be the one I have to arrest.

Dylan: Thanks for the warning. Ian Ward's the one you should keep your eye on.

[Door opens]

Paul: Dylan. I understand you've had a very tough year, but you know what? Things are beginning to turn around for you. You're getting to know your new family. You got a good thing going with Avery. Don't mess it up by doing something stupid.

Abby: Now you want to call off our engagement? You've just spent the last half an hour trying to convince me that we should go ahead with the wedding.

Tyler: Okay, look, I'm not saying that we shouldn't get married.

Abby: At the risk of my head exploding, what are you saying?

Tyler: I'm saying that we should get married.

Abby: That's it! Kaboom!

Tyler: Okay, no, listen. Abby, I want to marry you. All right? It's just we haven't even made plans yet, and it's already turning into one nasty game of Abbott-Newman dodge ball, with us stuck in the middle of it.

Abby: Well, I don't see how we can avoid that, considering I'm a Newman and an Abbott.

Tyler: We don't invite them to the wedding.

Abby: Wait. You want to have a wedding and not invite my family?

Tyler: Yeah, I don't want to invite anyone. Just you there, me, and the justice of the peace.

Abby: What? Elope?

Tyler: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Right now. Today. No Abbotts. No Newmans. No drama. What do you say?

Nikki: If you love me, you'll do this for me.

Victor: You know I love you.

Nikki: Yes, I do, but I'm asking you to show it in a different way this time -- in a way that's completely foreign to you. I want you to walk away from the fight. Please? Please promise me you won't go after Ian.

Victor: All right. I'll walk away from the fight, okay?

Nikki: Well, okay. Thank you. Thank you.

Victor: But if that S.O.B. does anything to you or to our granddaughter or to any member of my family, I will find him.

Victor: Come on.

Nick: Wait, wait, wait. I don't want to rush you.

Sharon: You're not.

Nick: Last time --

Sharon: I know. I wasn't ready last time. I am now.

Nick: Are you sure?

Sharon: Nick, all the time we've spent apart, all the years that we weren't together, that we were either alone, or we were with other people, it was not right.

Nick: This is right. Us being together is right.

Abby: So much for not being nervous.

Tyler: I'm not.

Abby: Oh, right, so suggesting we run away and get married without telling anyone in our family has nothing to do with wanting to avoid all the questions tonight.

Tyler: Look, Abby, I love you, all right? And I cannot wait to marry you. That's the only reason I suggested we just go and elope.

Abby: Look, it's okay to admit the pressure of being in a dual-family fishbowl is getting to you.

Tyler: It's not. Not even a little.

Abby: Good. Then no more talk about eloping. We're gonna go to the party tonight, and we're gonna face the Newmans and the Abbotts together.

Tyler: Great.

Abby: Mwah!

Tyler: [Sighs]

Avery: And here it is, looking so delicious, you won't be able to resist trying it. So, don't. Mmm. Perfect. Thanks for watching, and see you next time.

Marcus: Cut. That's a wrap. [Chuckles] You are great.

Avery: Really?

Marcus: Really. [Sighs]

Avery: [Chuckles]

Austin: You were perfect... [Chuckles] ...Just like your cake.

Nikki: Oh, my gosh. Dylan.

Dylan: Hey. Uh, sorry. I should have called. You're on your way out.

Nikki: Oh, uh, yeah, just some last-minute preparations for tonight. We're hosting an engagement party for Abby.

Dylan: Well, I won't keep you, then.

Nikki: No. Um, is there some reason why you needed to see me?

Dylan: I was just, uh, making sure you were okay. You are, aren't you? Ian hasn't tried to contact you?

Nikki: I'm fine. But I like that you checked up on me.

Dylan: I'm not gonna let that guy hurt you.

Nikki: [Chuckles] Get in line.

Dylan: Victor? Yeah, I'm not surprised.

Nikki: And I will tell you the same thing I told him. Please don't feel you have to "handle" things with Ian for me. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself.

Dylan: Is it okay if I, uh, walk you to your car?

Nikki: Yeah, I think I can handle that.

Ian: [Sighs] [Sighs]

[Footsteps approaching]

Ian: I was beginning to think you were gonna stand me up

Victor: Waiting for my wife? She's not coming.

Tyler: You know, it's not too late to change your mind and come back to bed.

Abby: Oh, Javi is waiting to make me beautiful.

Tyler: Oh, baby, you're already beautiful.

Abby: [Chuckling] Oh. Nice try.

Tyler: [Sighs]

Abby: See you later.

[Door closes]

[Cell phone rings]

Tyler: Mariah, I need to see you. Yeah, no, it's important. Where are you?

Nick: What are you thinking about?

Sharon: Um, Victor.

Nick: Well, that, uh, is not weird much.

Sharon: I was thinking about the party. I was thinking about going to the party.

Nick: [Smooches] You don't have to. You know, I don't want to make you.

Sharon: Yeah, but, I mean, if we're gonna have a future together, I have to get used to dealing with Victor. And we are going to have a future together, right?

Nick: Personally, I think the future is overrated.

Sharon: [Gasps] Really?

Nick: Yeah. I'm way more into the present.

Avery: So, I guess my cake is okay?

[All chuckling]

Austin: Even better than your key lime pie.

Avery: Oh, thank you. Well, maybe your girlfriend will make it, now that you have the recipe. [Chuckles]

Dylan: Hey. Uh, it looks like things went well.

Avery: Well, I think I'm gonna need more than three fans for anyone to give me a cooking show.

Dylan: Well, you have at least four.

Avery: Oh, well, then it's a green light all the way.

Marcus: We will let you know as soon as we hear anything.

Avery: Okay. Thank you. This was so much fun, you guys. Thank you.

Marcus: Thank you so much. You guys enjoy the rest of your evening.

Avery: Thank you.

Dylan: Bye.

Austin: Bye.

Avery: Bye.

Dylan: [Sighs deeply] Well, I guess this one's for me.

Avery: Actually --

Dylan: Wait. What?

Avery: Not until you tell me where you went.

Dylan: I told you I had something to take care of.

Avery: Well, you're gonna have to tell me a lot more than that if you want some of this chocolaty goodness.

Dylan: Uh, Paul asked me to come down to the police station.

Avery: [Sighs] Why?

Dylan: Someone sent Ian a message that it was time to go.

Avery: "Someone"?

Dylan: I just hope he gets it loud and clear. Nobody wants him here.

Ian: Okay. All right. Come on. Work with me here. Ohh! Victor? Ooh! Victor?

Victor: Didn't I warn you what would happen if you were released from jail?

Ian: Oh, did you come here to make good on your threat?

Victor: Threats are for the weak. Isn't that what you said?

Ian: Oh, you were listening, like so many of the others... including Nikki. That's why you intercepted my message, huh? You're worried that she'll succumb to the pull that she still feels towards me.

Victor: You stop your BS psychobabble right now, okay? My wife has nothing but disgust for you.

Ian: I guess we'll just have to find out, since I'm staying in Genoa City.

Victor: Are you? I'll be damned. Let me tell you something, Ian Ward, "guru." You buy one cup of coffee, one newspaper, take one walk in this park, I will know about it. You contact my wife or my granddaughter, and you will regret it.

Ian: And what if they contact me?

Victor: You breathe the same air as any member of my family, it'll be your last breath, and you'll never see it coming. Not a threat. It's a promise.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Jack: You're here!

Ashley: Of course, I'm here. I'm not gonna miss my daughter's engagement party.

Victor: All the happiness in the world. To Tyler and Abby.

Cheers.
