[Knock on door]

Sharon: What are you doing with my daughter?

Nick: So then Paul hauled him in?

Dylan: Yep. Cuffs, sirens, the whole thing. Ian Ward was arrested officially for extortion.

Nick: I wish I would have been there.

Dylan: You know what? It's probably best that you weren’t. I guess we just have to let the authorities handle it from here.

Nick: So you didn't take the law into your own hands?

Dylan: Uh, I mean, I was pretty angry. I was getting close to it. That's when Paul came in. And I was -- I was glad. It definitely was for the best. And you were with Nikki and Summer. Are they okay?

Nick: Yeah, no, they're good. They're good. Mom and Summer are tough.

Dylan: Yeah, they are. But it always helps to have, uh, have backup.

Lily: It's like after all that insanity at the Delia event, something like that either brings a couple closer together or it tears them apart, and obviously it just tore Dad and Leslie apart.

Devon: Dad must be devastated. He hasn't been able to catch a romantic break since... and when that happened...

Lily: I know what you're thinking, and no. This is not gonna be the thing to make Dad start drinking again.

[Door opens]

Hilary: Oh, sorry. I thought maybe I walked into the wrong office.

Neil: You're in the right place. Just not the one who's lost.

Kelly: You said that you wanted to see me, too?

Billy: Yeah.

Kelly: But I had to talk you into this. Beg you, really.

Billy: Knowing what I should do and what I want to do are two different things.

Kelly: And you want to see me? What else do you want, Billy?

Victoria: I am so sorry. That was, uh, that was so -- oh, my God.

Stitch: It's okay.

Victoria: No, it's -- it's not okay. Uh, people don't just go around kissing other people. People don't freak out and go off on people and then just kiss them. That's not what people do, unless people [Sighs deeply] Are complete disaster areas, which obviously I am. I-I don't know what's wrong with me.

Stitch: Hey, there's nothing wrong with you.

Victoria: But to do that, though. It was stupid and foolish and -- and -- and --

Stitch: And human.

Victoria: I'm an idiot.

Stitch: And human, okay? You wanted to hurt Billy the way he hurt you.

Victoria: That's your interpretation? That I-I wanted to hurt Billy? That had nothing to do with you?

Billy: What else do I want? I want Victoria to forgive me. I want to not screw up the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Kelly: Is that why you met me? Because if I can make Victoria forgive you, I would have done that.

Billy: No, I came here because of you. Not her.

Kelly: Really?

Billy: I came to say I'm sorry. For everything. And we agreed that what happened would never see the light of day, and... apparently I told an entire room of hostages.

Kelly: Yeah, you forgot the two gunmen and the policeman listening in downstairs and the paramedics that carted you away and the -- the people that were --

Billy: I got it. I made a bad judgment call.

Kelly: But you were passing out from pain, so...

Billy: Yeah, still, I should have kept my mouth shut, no matter how many chandeliers hit me.

Kelly: That's right. [Chuckles] I-I know that Victoria is the only one that matters to you, but, you know, I didn't lie or cover it up, so I kind of broke our agreement, too.

Billy: She is the only thing that matters to me. But all the other people matter to you. And you have gone through enough trying to get your life back together. And with people hearing about this, it...

Kelly: People like your brother, Jack. [Chuckles] I can't really explain to him or anyone else. You know, Billy, I didn't set out to ruin your marriage. Do you remember that day? It was a horrible day. Sad and lonely. Kids around town were opening up gifts, but... not Sam. Not Delia. And there was no grief support group that was gonna change that for either of us.

Billy: What we did instead did not change the situation, either.

Kelly: It did for me. For a couple hours, I didn't feel pain. I didn't feel grief or ache or want to go into a corner and cry. You keep saying that it was a mistake, and it was. It was a mistake. But it was also a miracle. And honestly... I can't regret that.

[Knock on door]

Noah: Hey. You ready for our date?

Courtney: Not quite.

Noah: Wow. You on some kind of stakeout here or...

Courtney: That's need-to-know only. Sorry.

Noah: Should I even be here?

Courtney: Also need-to-know.

Noah: So, if you can't tell me, then...

Courtney: No, I'm in charge of this investigation. And my first procedure goes like this.

Sharon: Nick and Dylan working together. Wow. Impressive. And amazing.

Avery: Well, it started out for Nikki’s sake. You know, Nick had no idea that his own daughter was being targeted. By the way, she had no idea what was going on, so you don't have to worry.

Sharon: Well, we try to protect them as long as we can. Uh, still, I'm sorry about earlier when I opened the door and I saw you with her.

Avery: It's fine. It was probably more amazing than the sight of Dylan and Nick working together.

Sharon: Oh, don't say that. She likes you.

Avery: Well, we had a thaw, but I wouldn't go that far.

Sharon: Well, I know that you and she spent a lot of time together when you were with Nick, and it's not like you don't know how to look after her, so I appreciate that.

Avery: Well, she's a good kid. And things are different for all of us now. I'm not engaged to her father. So there's no reason for things to be awkward, even though they still are.

Sharon: But you are now with her uncle, which means that our worlds are still going to overlap.

Avery: Yes. So I guess we better get used to it. Again.

Nick: Well, I'm proud of Summer for bringing in Paul so fast.

Dylan: Yeah, I mean, the fact that she could even think straight at that point is pretty impressive. She's a tough kid.

Nick: Well, you kept Ian busy, otherwise he may have bolted.

Dylan: Bolted? I don't know. He -- he was weighted down with that big bag of cash.

Nick: Well, he's not gonna have the chance to get to Summer or any other girls like her, so...I'm grateful.

Dylan: Yeah, me, too. But, you know, the one who really pulled this out was Nikki. She took a big chance trying to get a confession out of him.

Nick: You know, Mom's got this voice. It's -- it's sweet and genteel. But deep down, she's a warrior. You know she took four bullets? We thought we were gonna lose her, but she fought like hell to come back, and with that and all her addictions and dealing with Dad for all these years, she's a lot tougher than she looks.

Dylan: Yeah, I'm starting to see that.

Nick: Its good genes to have.

Dylan: Well, half my genes are pretty good. But Ian Ward -- he's, uh, despicable. You know, he was playing mind games till the end. He had this secret. He said there was something that I needed to know, and now it's locked up in jail with him. So, it was right after you left. It was just me and Ian and his squirrelly smile. Then he tries to pull this -- this victim garbage, acting like I was gonna use my military experience to take him out.

Nick: Look, he didn't think you were gonna kill him. If he knows anything about you, he had to know you weren't gonna do that.

Dylan: He was just trying to mess with the dynamic, you know, trying to put me on the defenses so I'd have to back off. And then he says, "If you kill me, you'll never know."

Nick: Never know what?

Dylan: That was it. Nothing else.

Nick: Look, I just think its all part of it. It's the same head game. That's how good he is. It's like pretending like you're some killing machine, making us think Mom slept with him willingly, making Summer come to him. It's a defense mechanism to save his own skin. You don't buy that? Look, you get a guy cornered and he doesn't think he's gonna survive, he'll say just about anything. Why don't you ask Billy about the night he took Adam out to the woods? All right, well, I got to go. I got to check on Faith.

Dylan: Yeah, um, let me know if Ian tries to pull anything from -- from jail. And thanks for the help.

Nick: You, too.

Dylan: [Sighs]

Neil: Yeah, I-I wanted to see if Jack was in, but I got kind of caught up, distracted by this view, you know?

Hilary: It's fantastic, isn't it? High up, away from the world.

Neil: Once upon a time, this was my office, if you didn't know, and I used to stand here and look out this window at this beautiful view down below and up there. I miss it a lot.

Hilary: It's one of the reasons I love working here. You know what? I can, um, I can do it tomorrow. I'm gonna get out of here. Do you want me to shut the door on the way out?

Neil: Oh, hey, Hilary. You fit here.

Hilary: Excuse me?

Neil: After your mom died and you were lost, you made a new life here. And it looks like you fit in quite well in your new world.

Hilary: Well, I owe you for recommending me to Jack. Whether I deserved it or not.

Neil: Well, when you need a fresh start, let's just hope that being deserving isn't the criterion for getting it, right?

Hilary: What's going on, Neil?

Neil: Hmm? N-no, no, nothing, nothing at all.

Hilary: You know, from where I sit, your life is a lot like that view. Fantastic, sparkling, inspiring, even. I guess things aren't always what they seem, huh?

Neil: You know, news travels very fast here in Genoa City, so I should be the first one to tell you that Leslie and I, we -- we parted company. We broke things off. Um, seems that marriage is overrated, so some say.

Hilary: It's intimidating, you know, unnerving. Or wonderful. I guess it just depends on the type of people you both are.

Neil: This is key. Listen, it's enough about my depressing life, you know? Why don't we talk about yours? Let's turn the attention on you. How are things going in your world?

Hilary: Oh. [Laughs] Well, big happenings in my life, obviously. That's why I'm filing papers after hours.

Neil: Of course. Sounds like your social calendar is jam-packed.

Hilary: Yeah, and I was part of this, um, diamond heist recently. I was a hostage there. That was very exciting.

Neil: Yeah, yeah. I seem to have read something about that. Maybe it was on the news. But in all seriousness, um, if you want to improve your social life at all, I think I know an eligible young man for you.

Hilary: Neil, are you trying to hook me up with Devon?

Devon: So we know Dad is hating life right now. How's Leslie?

Lily: I really don't care how Leslie's doing.

Esmerelda: Hey! I was hoping you'd still be here.

Devon: Did you have a nice workout?

Esmerelda: There are workouts that kill you and there are those that get you all energized, ready for more. See you at my place later?

Devon: Absolutely.

Lily: Bye. Well, that was fast. Right into a relationship, I see.

Devon: No, no, no. It's not a relationship at all. It's just casual, and she and I both know that.

Lily: Well, look, you're a grown man. You can do whatever you want. She seems like a perfectly nice, non-hateable person.

Devon: Are we still on that? About Hilary?

Lily: No, we're not. If you tell me you're not into the vicious tramp that tried to destroy our family, then I believe you. But I still don't get why you would defend somebody who tried to ruin my marriage.

Stitch: I don't think that kiss had anything to do with me. It was about hurting Billy.

Victoria: Yes, I know. Billy did hurt me, but that doesn't mean that I can go around doing things like...

Stitch: Have you slept lately?

Victoria: Does staring at the ceiling count?

Stitch: What about eating?

Victoria: Yogurt. Yeah. I had yogurt. Yesterday.

Stitch: Oh, so no food, no sleep, and a boat load of emotion you think you can't share with your husband. Something had to give.

Victoria: So, my lips on your face was it.

Stitch: [Scoffs]

Victoria: No, listen, I'm sorry. I just can't even imagine what you think of me right now.

Stitch: I've -- I've already forgotten.

Victoria: [Sighs] Will you stop, please? Stop being so nice.

Stitch: Okay. How about I say mean things about your boxing technique when I take a look to see if your hand's okay? You got a little crazy there, slugger. [Chuckles]

Victoria: You're making it worse.

Stitch: The hand?

Victoria: The guilt.

Stitch: [Scoffs] Just ice it when you get home. The hand. And the guilt if you need to.

Victoria: Yeah, okay, I will.

Stitch: Will you do me a favor? Will you stop beating yourself up? It was one second of a very long day. Go find Billy.

Victoria: Yeah, I know. You said that before.

Stitch: Look, if you think you can save your marriage, save it. And that's, uh, "Do as I say," not "Do as I do," obviously. [Sighs] [Chuckles]

Victoria: You are a really good man, Ben. I'm -- I'm so sorry.

Stitch: Stop.

Victoria: Okay. I am gonna go find Billy and work this out one way or another.

Billy: The holidays were awful. But when we went back to your place, we crossed a line, Kelly. We gave up our shot at being friends. I can't do that to Victoria.

Kelly: But it was one time. It was just one time.

Billy: One time means that I might be able to hold on to my marriage. Any more and I'm sitting on the street with divorce papers in my hand. But because of one time, maybe I can keep Victoria in my life. And I have to, Kelly. Victoria and Johnny are all I have left.

Kelly: I understand. You have to hold on to them. You have to keep something that keeps you grounded. You know, meeting you in -- in group, maybe it was because our kids were the same age or that we were feeling the same guilt, you know, me getting the bike and you going for ice cream. Or maybe it wasn't any of that. Maybe it's just who you are. Finally someone understood me completely. Do you know what a relief that is, to not have to pretend, not have to put up a brave face?

Billy: Yeah, I felt that, too. And when I was talking to you, I-I felt like I wasn't going... crazy.

Kelly: Crazy.

Billy: Yeah. Yeah.

Kelly: It would just be too much for Victoria for us to be friends. I get it.

Billy: Your husband was an idiot for walking away from you. And I know that you will find someone next time who isn’t.

Kelly: [Sniffles] You know, I just thought that if [Sniffles] Some time passes, we could be friends, we could... go to the mall... [Sobs]

Sharon: Well, thank you again for looking after Faith. I do appreciate it.

Avery: Of course.

Faith: Avery was kind of nice. She told me not to be afraid.

Avery: She was worried about Summer.

Sharon: Oh. Oh, well, that's very good advice not to be afraid. Why don't you go get your pajamas on, brush your teeth? So, you're kind of nice. That's progress.

Avery: Oh, yeah, and she's not tearing up my things, so, uh, I guess that's a good thing.

[Knock on door]

Sharon: Nick.

Nick: Hey.

Avery: Hey. Mission accomplished?

Nick: Uh, yeah, Ian Ward was arrested for extortion. Everyone is safe and sound.

Avery: Thank God.

Nick: Yeah. How's Faith?

Sharon: She's safe and sound, too, thanks to Avery.

Avery: Oh, my pleasure, truly.

Nick: Thank you.

Avery: Yeah, uh, I should go see Dylan. Um, but good job.

Nick: Well, thanks for everything.

Avery: Yeah. Anytime. Excuse me.

Nick: Well, I'm -- I'm sorry. I should have given you a heads up about Faith and Avery.

Sharon: Oh, yeah, that would have been nice, because I almost bit the woman's head off when she showed up here with my daughter.

Nick: Should have seen that coming. I'm sorry. It was, uh, an emergency situation.

Sharon: You were protecting your family, and everyone is now okay because of it. Faith's upstairs brushing her teeth. Noah is out celebrating his birthday. And the man who tried to hurt your mother is locked up. So, you can relax now, Nick.

Nick: [Chuckles] You think?

Sharon: Yeah, I know. There is no better father than you, and your kids are proof of that.

Noah: Well, that was...

Courtney: Not enough.

Noah: Maybe enough to get you fired.

Courtney: Risk can be a rush. You should try it sometime.

Noah: You didn't even want to talk at the police station.

Courtney: Well, do you see any other cops around?

Noah: No. But it is your job.

Courtney: Yeah, but I got my eye on the target.

Noah: Oh, you, uh, want to call it in, hmm? Update dispatch on your target's twenty? Does that sound like cop talk?

Courtney: Close.

[Both laugh]

Courtney: But very good. You've been a very helpful citizen.

Noah: Thank you.

Courtney: But, you know, the fact is that you're all part of the setup.

Noah: Are we hiding for a stakeout?

Courtney: I just think it's about time to come clean with everything.

Noah: Ah! [Laughs] Courtney. Ah.

Courtney: Happy birthday.

Noah: Thank you.

Courtney: [Chuckles] I mean, I am off duty, but I still might have to frisk you.

Noah: [Blows candle] That goes both ways.

Courtney: [Chuckles]

Noah: [Chuckles]

Devon: Lily, let it go. I'm not interested in Hilary. I'm just looking to have a good time these days.

Lily: Okay, so then what you're telling me is that you would be into Hilary if you were wanting to get serious with someone. That makes me feel so much better.

Devon: You're a crazy person. Uh, she's not interested in me.

Lily: Hilary doesn't want you? Meaning that you made a move on the tramp and she turned you down?

Devon: Can you not call her that in front of me? In fact, can you not call her that at all?

Neil: Even though Devon is an eligible bachelor, he isn't exactly who I had in mind for you.

Hilary: Yeah, granted that I, um, I tortured his family, so... yeah, that's a good call.

Neil: Mm-hmm. Right. Not a -- not a bad idea, though.

Hilary: Did you not hear what I just said? You must have some short-term memory loss if you think that he would ever be interested in me. And besides, he's seeing someone.

Neil: Hold on now. First of all, I have a mind like a steel trap, thank you very much. Second of all, that's, uh -- thank you. That's good to know.

Hilary: And you don't have to worry, okay, or match-make here. Family's all hooked up romantically. Damn it. I... I forgot. I'm -- I didn't mean to. I... [Sighs]

Neil: At least one of us can forget my solo status. With that in mind, um... have a good night.

Hilary: Uh, Neil.

Neil: Yep?

Hilary: You know, when -- when something awful happens, something you didn't see coming, maybe it just hits you twice as hard, you know? You think you know your future, and then you find out that [Scoffs] You were all wrong. It can be a shock to the system, make you do things that you never thought that you'd do, you know, like become a witch on wheels or... pick up a bottle after being sober for years.

Neil: It's very interesting that most recently you were the one who tried to force me to drink alcohol, and now you're worried about my sobriety.

Hilary: It's definitely not my place, but... you told me what happened when your wife passed. Losing someone you love... I want you to know that I'm a good listener, okay? And God knows I've learned not to judge. But, you know, like I said, it's not my place. I'm probably overstepping, so...

Neil: No, you're not. I'd say you're -- you're stepping just fine.

Billy: Hey. I, uh, heard your car. Look, I'm glad you're home. I've been doing a lot of thinking, and we definitely need to talk.

Victoria: I just kissed another man.

Billy: Are you kidding me? Who? I mean, who's the guy?

Victoria: Does it really matter? Other than the fact that it wasn't you?

Billy: What the hell, Vicki? If you're mad at me --

Victoria: Yeah, I am mad! I'm furious. Furious! I know. I know. It was a stupid thing to do. But I think it's pretty mild in comParison to what you did with Kelly.

Billy: So, what? I'm supposed to thank you for not having sex with some guy at the gym? Is that it? Great. Awesome. Thank -- thank you.

Victoria: Come on, Billy. Give me a break. I feel bad enough without you piling it on, okay?

Billy: Then why tell me about it, all right? Like twisting the knife a little bit more? I'm surprised you didn't take a selfie.

Victoria: You hurt me. You hurt me, Billy!

Billy: Yes, I know that, and I feel terrible.

Victoria: I don't care if you feel terrible! Your feelings are eating this family alive! I'm gonna tell you how I feel right now, and you're gonna listen. I had to see her today. I had to see Kelly. I had to see the woman who has seen my husband in bed, who has held him, who's touched him, who's had him hold her.

Billy: Vicki --

Victoria: No, don't worry, don't worry! I walked away, okay? I didn't scratch her eyes out! I didn't yell at her in a room full of people, so don't worry.

Billy: I am not worried about her. Just you!

Victoria: I'm worried about me, too, okay? Because I have to see Kelly everywhere -- everywhere. And every time I see her, I get these images in my brain, and they just last every second! I can't do anything about it, and that's because of you. You did that. You.

Billy: I swear to God, if I could fix it, I would, undo things.

Victoria: You cared enough about her --

Billy: No, no, it wasn't like that, I swear to you!

Victoria: You -- you touched her. You held her.

Billy: I am sorry! It was like I was drunk and -- and not remembering, only it was just as pointless! And yeah, I dropped the pain for a while, and I just pushed it on to you! And it was selfish, and it was stupid!

Victoria: Do you love her?

Billy: God, no. Of course not! I love you! You are my soul! You're the reason I am standing here! I love you so much!

Victoria: No. I love you. You don't know how much I love you.

Stitch: Kelly.

Kelly: Oh, God. Go away.

Stitch: You can't cry in the cold.

Kelly: Well, evidently I can.

Stitch: What happened?

Kelly: I did what you wanted. I tried to put Billy behind me. But I can’t. I don't know how.

Avery: My hero.

Dylan: No, no, no. I don't know about that. I just stopped Ian from bolting town with a suitcase full of cash.

Avery: Well, that was enough. And you did it working alongside Nick, and that right there put you at superhero status, both of you.

Dylan: Okay, Avery --

Avery: Will you just let me be impressed and grateful and relieved that neither one of you needed a lawyer or bail money?

Dylan: That's true.

Avery: Ian Ward is locked up, and it's over.

Dylan: The thing is... it's not over at all.

Nick: What's this?

Sharon: Nothing. I was just, uh, cleaning out a closet.

Nick: Really?

Sharon: No.

Nick: A board game that's supposed to talk to ghosts?

Sharon: Well, you know, it says on the box that it is for entertainment purposes only, so I don't think it really talks to ghosts.

Nick: Well, after "Phantasm" was spelled with those letter tiles, you don't remember spelling it, Sharon, are you trying to contact Cassie?

Lily: Hi, Dad. Can I get you anything?

Devon: Yeah. Have a seat. I can get you a club soda, whatever you want.

Neil: How did I just become the most pitiful person on the planet all of a sudden?

Lily: No, we weren’t. We -- no.

Devon: We're just checking up on you. That's it.

Neil: Okay. Thank you very much, you two. And I'm doing okay.

Lily: Really?

Neil: Yeah, really. I just had a nice pep talk.

Devon: Nice. And it worked? Who was it with?

Neil: Hilary.

Lily: Hilary Curtis?

Neil: You know, that young lady has been through a lot of changes in her life, and, you know, she's managed to come out of it pretty well. I had a good talk, and I learned something from her.

Devon: That's really good. I think that's really nice of her. We're just glad you're doing better.

Neil: You know, as you get older, you learn not to judge people so harshly. It doesn't do you or them any good.

Hilary: Esmerelda, what are you doing here so late?

Esmerelda: Just picking up my modeling schedule. Got to see how good I need to look for the camera. For now, at least.

Hilary: What does that mean?

Esmerelda: When I heard Devon got billions from his granny, I thought someone was talking nonsense, but I checked into it. Billions.

Hilary: You've read that, um, he's been in a lot of trouble, right? People taking advantage of him for all that money?

Esmerelda: Oh, it is a burden. Good thing I can help him lighten his load.

Hilary: Yeah, maybe a car or a trip if you're smart.

Esmerelda: [Scoffs] A car? Please. I'll get a ring and a Summer wedding and a house in the Caymans. Maybe you can catch the bouquet. See you.

Courtney: Safety on, in its holster.

Noah: [Sighs] You allowed to take it off?

Courtney: When I'm not on duty, and if I was, we wouldn't have been doing what we were doing.

Noah: Is it always on you? Is that a regular thing? Like, ever since we knew each other?

Courtney: Sometimes it was in my purse. But it's not like it's just gonna go off. I scored really high in weapons training.

Noah: [Chuckles] Yeah, I'm sure. It's just you carry a gun for a living, you know. Like, in case people try to shoot you first.

Courtney: Yeah. I mean, hopefully I do my job right and they don't get the chance.

Noah: You ever had to shoot anybody?

Courtney: Nope. Like I said, I'm that good. Also like I said, I'm not on duty.

Noah: Look, maybe we should just slow down a little.

Sharon: I did try to contact Cassie. But, Nick, I'm -- I'm not over the edge.

Nick: I-I didn't say you were, but if something's going on...

Sharon: No, no kid gloves. I'm fine. I'm really, really okay.

Nick: You're okay. Cool. Were you able to contact her?

Sharon: No, because I'm not delusional. Okay, I know this probably won't make sense. I just wanted to see how far I could push my brain, so I-I took the board, and my mind would not cross that line anymore, thank God. See, this isn't about ghosts or insanity. It's about the fact that I have a chemical imbalance that needs to be managed, and my doctor gave me a new med.

Nick: Great.

Sharon: But it can take a little while for everything to level out, and for a portion of that time, I held a brief séance with no results.

Nick: You know that still sounds a little off, right?

Sharon: I know that. See, but the fact that I know that is a good thing. Trust me. That's a good sign.

Nick: Okay, well, just make sure we're clear on this. If you need to talk, you don't need that game. You can come to me.

Sharon: I know that.

Singer: A little invite late at night the game to play in a wild masquerade I keep guessing and undressing in our exchange though I insist this rendezvous you resist my every move I twist my heart into a puzzle just for you oh, oh, oh, oh, oh while the girls play their charades

Dylan: And he just left it at that, making sure I knew he had information I wasn't about to get.

Avery: Are you sure he wasn't just doing whatever it took to stay in one piece?

Dylan: Dangling the secret was not a defensive move.

Avery: Okay, maybe it was offense -- one last head game.

Dylan: That's -- that's exactly what Nick thinks. But this wasn't an off-the-cuff statement made out of thin air. He knew exactly what he was doing, and he enjoyed it, as usual.

Avery: So, what do you think he meant?

Dylan: I don't know. Has to be something Ian knows would matter to me. I just really can't imagine what that would be. What? Maybe more kids, more brothers, sisters, I don't know.

Avery: Well, he obviously wanted to get to you.

Dylan: And it worked. Because whatever he knows, I'm gonna find out.

Nick: My mom feels like she's responsible for Summer being at risk.

Sharon: Well, that's terrible. It's not Nikki’s fault that some disgusting predator went after her and her granddaughter.

Nick: Wow. If Mom could hear you defending her? [Chuckles]

Sharon: Don't tell her, please. I think we've all had enough shock for one day.

Nick: And you called Summer her granddaughter?

Sharon: Well, Summer is Nikki's granddaughter. Just as she is your daughter.

Nick: When I found Summer's sister bracelet in Ian Ward's room... I honestly wanted to rip those walls down. I mean, the thought of anything happening to my girl, it’s...I mean, not that, you know... she's -- she's not my girl. I mean, she's not even really Faith's sister, but... I don't know. It doesn't matter what any bracelet says.

Sharon: They've been sisters since the time Faith was born in every way that matters, just as Summer is your daughter. You know, the tests didn't matter when she was little, Nick. I mean, why does it have to matter now? Gosh, if we could all just forget about that test.

Nick: The test does matter, Sharon. It matters to Summer and to Jack and to a lot of people. So it has to matter to me.

Sharon: You protected Summer and your entire family the way you always do. That's what matters.

Kelly: I never should have called Billy. I can say all I want that it was for closure, but I think it was just an excuse to see him again.

Stitch: You didn't go in with a plan. I know you.

Kelly: Maybe not consciously, but it's really nice to see him again, to talk to him about Sam and Delia, about us being friends. You know, I almost cost him his marriage, but it didn't stop me from... [Voice breaking] Begging him to be my friend. I'm so pathetic.

Stitch: No. No.

Kelly: I just... I just feel so lonely.

Stitch: Hey. You don't have to be alone. Other people want to be there for you.

Kelly: Get your hand off me. You? Never.

Stitch: Kel --

Kelly: After what you did? You think that you can just forget that?

Stitch: There's such a thing as forgiveness.

Kelly: Yeah, there is. Maybe for adultery, but not for what you did. There will never be forgiveness.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Cane: What are you really doing here in Genoa City, Dad?

Jack: What can you tell me about the Ian Ward case?

Paul: This guy is going down for his crimes.

Ian: Victor Newman, the great man himself.

Victor: Ian Ward, worthless maggot on the bottom of my shoe.
