Lily: Okay, you coordinated with security? All right, great. That larger arrangement belongs in the foyer, please. Yeah. No, no, we need somebody there at all times to ensure the doll is protected. Oh, Carl, can you make sure the valet has more spaces? Thank you. Well, then get Childress on the phone. No, I understand that he is busy, but he... well, wait. What do you mean "it's been handled"? Do you have any idea how valuable that snow queen doll is? And if you didn't confirm the security detail and I know I didn't, then who did?

Cane: It was me.

Lily: [Sighs] Cane did. No, I'm just receiving this information right now. Yeah, bye.

Cane: You look beautiful.

Lily: Thank you. Um, how are we on champagne?

Cane: We could swim in it. Are you done with that list?

Lily: No, and it's getting longer, and the guests are starting to arrive. Oh, the twins' presentation?

Cane: It's done.

Lily: Okay. And the auction?

Cane: It's done, as well. Can someone else take this over, please?

Lily: Cane, I'm sorry, honey. What do you need?

Cane: I need you upstairs. There's a situation --

Kelly: I can manage things down here for a little bit.

Cane: Oh, thank you very much, Kelly.

Lily: No. No, there's still a lot of details.

Cane: Yeah, I know, but my situation's an emergency. Thank you very much, Kelly.

Kelly: You're welcome.

Lily: This is an emergency, too. Our event's about to start.

Kelly: Everything is organized. It's running smoothly.

Lily: No, except --

Kelly: No, go, go, go. Come on. It looks fantastic.

Lily: Oh, your date is at the bar in the suit. He's that guy.

Cane: Emergency. No, emergency, upstairs. Let's go. I've got to show you. Come on. Come on, babe. Thank you. Let's go.

Dylan: We can do this one of two ways. You can just tell me what you're stewing about.

Stitch: And the other way?

Dylan: You're cut off. No more coffee.

Stitch: Mm. I don't think you realize how many lives you'd be endangering if I went to work uncaffeinated.

Dylan: No, I do, and you don't want that on your conscience.

Stitch: Okay. I'll tell you. My wife has started divorce proceedings.

Dylan: Oh, man.

Stitch: Yeah.

Dylan: Oh, I'm sorry. What happened?

Stitch: I guess there are just some things that a married couple just can't get past.

Dylan: I hear that. Loud and clear.

[Knock on door]

Neil: You do look beautiful.

Leslie: Thank you.

Lauren: Wow! Look at how fantastic you guys look.

Leslie: Well, so do you.

Neil: So, where is Michael?

Lauren: Oh, he's doing his lawyer thing. He had to fly out to D.C.

Neil: Something that couldn't wait until tomorrow?

Lauren: I know. It's not very romantic, is it? But we'll make up for it, big-time, when he gets back. And don't let that sour you on marriage.

Leslie: Oh, no, I didn't.

[Both laugh]

Neil: Yeah, we know that you and Michael are very happy.

Lauren: Yeah.

Leslie: It's actually amazing, after being married for so long, how much you two still like each other.

Lauren: We do still like each other. And we love each other, and we stand behind each other, no matter what, which is exactly what the two of you are gonna be doing very soon. So, did you set the date?

Neil: When is Michael gonna be home?

Lauren: As soon as he can.

Leslie: I know you are so relieved that your legal hassles are over.

Lauren: Oh. We are. We are. Okay, enough about me. Let's go back to you guys. So, what's happening? Is David Tutera just creating the most magical day ever for you?

Neil: Well, we, um -- we've decided against using a wedding planner. Right?

Leslie: Yeah. Yeah, it's just...

[Door unlocks]

Lily: Oh, wow.

Cane: You like it?

Lily: I didn't know that we booked this room.

Cane: Yeah, it's, uh -- it was kind of a last-minute reservation.

Lily: Nice. Is it a VIP guest?

Cane: Uh, yes, it is -- a super-important person.

Lily: Oh. Okay. So that's why you needed me.

Cane: Happy anniversary. Happy Valentine's Day.

Lily: [Chuckles]

Chelsea: Uh, what are you doing here?

Avery: I just came to offer my condolences. And then I could go.

Chelsea: That's really nice. I appreciate that. I know Adam really values your -- uh, valued... damn it. I keep doing that. I don't know how to talk anymore. Somewhat ought to write a "presumed-dead" manual for presumed widows.

Avery: Well, maybe I can help. I have some experience in this.

Chelsea: When were you ever... oh, my god. Of course -- Dylan.

Avery: I mean, thankfully, I didn't really lose him. Oh, my god. I'm so sorry. That is not what I meant to say. I... maybe I shouldn't have come.

Chelsea: Do you think Adam's dead?

Avery: I think what matters is what you believe, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Is that an answer?

Avery: You know, people tell me that my sister, Phyllis, that she's never gonna wake up, she's never gonna talk, she's never gonna be who she was, and I refuse to believe that, in spite of overwhelming evidence, so --

Chelsea: I believe Adam's still alive. I do. But it doesn't really matter what I think because I'll still never see him again.

Avery: What do you mean?

Chelsea: Even if Adam survived Billy, survived that crash, and survived that explosion, he's still not coming back here. He knows he can't come back. He's gone. So I guess that really does make me a widow.

Avery: Uh, Chelsea, I don't know if this will mean anything to you, but I've been thinking a lot about the videotape that Adam made. You know he gave it to me for safekeeping.

Chelsea: For his protection, because you were his lawyer.

Avery: Well, that's what it looked like, but I really think that Adam was intending to go to the police.

Chelsea: Did he say that?

Avery: No, but there was a formality in the video. It was almost like an official document. I mean, why would he even make the video if he didn't plan on confessing?

Chelsea: Avery, there's so many things I don't know and so many things I'll probably never know.

Avery: That's true. But one thing I know, and you must absolutely be sure of -- nothing made Adam happier than being a father and being with you.

Chelsea: I thought that. But now I truly don't know what I feel.

Avery: No, you can't doubt how he felt about you.

Chelsea: When I think about it, how Adam was with me, how he was with his son... I loved him so much.

Avery: Of course.

Chelsea: But now I have Chloe telling me that I should hate him like she hates him, or I have my mother telling me that I should just be happy with his money and move on with my life.

Avery: And what do you think?

Chelsea: I think that I should finish getting ready or else I'll never make it to this gala, so...

Avery: Oh, of course. I didn't mean to --

Chelsea: No, no, you didn't. You didn't interrupt or intrude. You came over and said really nice things about my husband, Avery, and I appreciate that. Nobody's, like, doing that lately, so...

Avery: I'm glad if it helped.

Chelsea: It did. And it was sweet of Dylan to stop by, too.

>Dylan: You haven't said much about what happened between you and Jenna.

Stitch: You're wrong. I haven't said a damn thing about it.

Dylan: So, what went wrong?

Stitch: Do I look like I want to talk about this?

Dylan: No.

Stitch: Then drop it.

Dylan: Would you drop it?

Stitch: You know, I'll get more coffee at work.

Dylan: Okay, no, no. Sit. Look, since it seems to be such a big secret, I'm guessing that maybe somebody cheated?

Stitch: It wasn't anything like that. I would never cheat on my wife.

Dylan: Okay. Did she?

Stitch: Jenna? No. She didn't. She wouldn't.

Dylan: Well, something big had to happen.

Stitch: Something did. I can't do this yet.

Dylan: Okay, okay. Until then, we'll just talk about me.

Stitch: About how in love you are?

Dylan: I, uh, went to see Chelsea.

Stitch: Why?

Dylan: Because her husband died and she's alone, raising Connor.

Stitch: But she used you, lied to you about the baby.

Dylan: Yeah, I understand. Despite that, I was... you know, I was worried about her. Chelsea's all that little boy's got. I just thought they might need some support.

Stitch: From you?

Dylan: If they need it. The way people feel about Adam, I'm not sure everybody's gonna be lining up to help Chelsea out.

Stitch: Yeah. I mean, I don't want it to be like that for my kid. You know, for him to live his life like he's got no dad when I'm right here, you know? Like I'm hiding out or -- you know, I'm not ducking my responsibilities. I just want to be there for my son.

Dylan: What's stopping you?

Stitch: My soon-to-be ex.

Dylan: Jenna won't let you see Max?

Stitch: [Scoffs] Right now, I'm just down to phone calls. Pretty soon, I might lose my kid altogether.

Dylan: Stitch, you can't let that happen. You can't. It'll hurt him and you.

Stitch: Hey, I don't care about me.

Dylan: Nothing is worse than losing your son. I mean, I was in Connor's life just for a little while, and it was hell letting him go.

Stitch: What can I do?

Dylan: You have to do what you have to do. You have to fight for your son.

Chloe: Oh. Oh, thanks.

Esther: They're bringing out the snow queen doll soon.

Kevin: We're all supposed to just stand around and gape at a doll?

Chloe: Victoria arranged to have her auctioned off to raise money for the foundation.

Kevin: If they were March Madness tickets, I would get it, but a doll? I mean...

Chloe: I saw her yesterday, and actually, she's gorgeous.

Esther: I can't wait to see her.

Chloe: I was planning to get a special doll for Delia today.

Kevin: Special how?

Chloe: Um, I was gonna have one of those, you know, make-it-your-own, uh... so it would look like Dee-Dee -- big brown eyes... little button nose.

Esther: Oh, sweetie.

Kevin: She'll be okay.

Leslie: Hi. I don't mean to interrupt.

Kevin: Hi, Leslie. That's okay. It's good to see you. You look great.

Leslie: Thank you. Chloe, I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful event this is. I mean, I didn't know Delia, but she must have been an incredible child to inspire an event like this.

Chloe: Thank you.

Leslie: Yeah.

Chloe: She was incredible. [Chuckles] She really was. Uh, excuse me. Just...

Leslie: All right.

Kevin: Sorry.

Neil: Well, Jack, looking rather dapper, my man.

Jack: Thank you.

Neil: So, uh, how's your brother doing?

Jack: Billy just got home from the hospital.

Neil: Is he gonna make it here tonight?

Jack: He probably shouldn't according to doctors, but knowing Billy, he'll try to make it, for Delia's sake.

Neil: And what about you? How are you holding up? I know this can't be easy for you.

Jack: No, it's not easy, but I promised myself I'd be strong for my brother.

Neil: Jack, I want you to know something. If you're feeling awkward, anything at all, I want you to pick up that phone, come and see me whenever.

Jack: Thank you, Neil. I appreciate that. And now that you know I'm okay, have a happy Valentine's Day with that gorgeous fiancée over there.

Abby: Happy Valentine's day.

Devon: Happy Valentine's day. You look beautiful.

Abby: Thank you. You look handsome.

Devon: Thank you. Got to tell you, I'm not a big fan of this holiday, though.

Tyler: Oh, come on. The right woman could change that for you, though.

Abby: He's speaking from experience.

Tyler: [Chuckles]

Devon: Who is that?

Tyler: That is Esmerelda. She's a model. She did a few shoots for us.

Devon: Really?

Tyler: Yeah. Why don't you go talk to her? You might have a better V-day than you thought.

Devon: Okay.

[Both chuckle]

Devon: See you guys. Hello, friend.

Hilary: Hey.

Devon: How you doing?

Hilary: Place looks great, all decked out for the benefit and Valentine's Day.

Devon: Mm. It's kind of a dumb holiday.

Hilary: What's wrong with it? Romantic gestures, pretty presents...

Devon: Yeah, that's my point. It was invented for the sole purpose of buying flowers and chocolates and these things here. There's too much pressure. Every time you turn around, it's love, love, love, love.

Kelly: Hi. Uh, sorry it took me so long to get over here. I know you've been waiting a while.

Jack: No, actually, I just --

Kelly: I don't know what Lily has told you, but, um... I'm in no mood for romance.

Jack: Well, then perhaps we should start a little more slowly.

Kelly: Slowly. Uh...like, coffee or something?

Jack: I was thinking introductions.

Kelly: Oh.

Jack: I'm Jack.

Kelly: Hi, Jack. I'm Kelly.

Jack: Nice to meet you, Kelly. You make one great first impression.

Lily: You said this was an emergency.

Cane: Oh, but this is an emergency, because I couldn't wait any longer without wishing my beautiful wife happy anniversary and a happy Valentine's Day. And, you see, I was thinking, what a better way to do it than, you know, in the place where --

Lily: Than a suite here, where we first made love?

Cane: On a Valentine's Day.

Lily: [Gasps] You remembered.

Cane: How could I forget?

Lily: Wait. Is this the surprise that you teased me about yesterday?

Cane: It is. But there's, uh...another part... of the surprise.

Lily: All right. Well, I guess we can take a couple of minutes.

Cane: Oh, I don't know about that. You know, you see, I'm thinking that the other part of the surprise... is gonna take a lot longer than a couple of minutes.

Kelly: Oh.

Jack: Oh. Hilary, did you need me for something?

Hilary: Oh, no, no, no. I just wanted to say hello to my boss.

Jack: Well, hello. Uh, Hilary, Kelly. Kelly, Hilary.

Kelly: Uh, we met. You two work together?

Hilary: Yeah, I'm Jack's assistant.

James: Excuse me. You're Kelly?

Kelly: Yes, I am.

James: I'm James.

Kelly: James?

James: Your date for the evening?

Kelly: You're the guy that Lily set me up with?

James: It's nice to meet you.

Kelly: Then, I am so sorry. I thought... just forget anything that I said to you.

Jack: No problem. And I couldn't forget it if I tried.

Kelly: [Chuckles] Uh, I'm gonna...get going now.

Jack: Good night.

Tyler: Oh, I'm sorry. I got to take this. Are you serious? Really, Mariah? No, I know I said that I was gonna come meet you. Right now is not a good time. Okay, okay. Fine. All right, I'll be there.

Devon: Hey, Chloe, I hope that you're pleased with everything so far.

Chloe: Oh, I'm more than pleased, Devon.

Devon: Okay.

Esther: It all looks so beautiful. Delia would just love it.

Kevin: Yeah. We are so grateful to you, Devon, for making this all possible.

Devon: Don't even mention it. It's an honor to be a part of this. And I didn't come over here looking for gratitude.

Chloe: Well, you've got mine. And the fact that you doubled your initial donation -- that was incredible of you.

Devon: Delia was a very special little girl.

Chloe: She was.

Devon: Well, I just came over to say hi to you guys, so I better go and mingle and try and dig in to some of these deep pockets, get some more donations.

Kevin: Thanks again. I'll see you later.

Esther: Honey, are you all right? Would you like to go home?

Chloe: Mom, you know what? I'm fine. And if you can't handle me being a little antsy tonight, then maybe you should go home. Yeah?

Esther: I am not missing Delia's special night for anything.

Lily: Wait. Do you see Colin?

Cane: No, I don't see him. Maybe he's not here yet or maybe he's not coming.

Lily: Good, 'cause the twins will be here soon for their performance.

Cane: If that's the case, we'll get them in and we'll get them out.

Lily: Yeah, because I am not letting him anywhere near them.

Cane: Hey, remember --

Lily: Yeah. What was that? Because that was amazing.

Cane: Thank you. I was gonna say, remember --

Lily: That we love each other.

Cane: We love each other, and we are healthy, we're happy, and nothing will come between us, okay?

Lily: Okay.

Cane: Okay.

Jack: That is a beautiful dress.

Hilary: Thank you. Well, you look sharp yourself.

Jack: Well, thanks. My tie -- is it straight? You're an expert at that these days.

Hilary: Now that you say that, it's a little... let's see. Oh. Um...

Stitch: Fight for my son. That's your advice?

Dylan: You have to. You don't have a choice. No matter how expensive it gets or embarrassing or how difficult it is, you have to be a part of your son's life.

Stitch: Okay. But what about my marriage? Do I just let that tank?

Dylan: I don't do marital problems.

Stitch: Dylan, you were married.

Dylan: Uh, my marriage to Chelsea lasted less time than it took you to drink that cup of coffee.

Stitch: Oh, so we found something you're not an expert in -- relationships. Does Avery know this?

Dylan: [Chuckles] Yeah, better than anyone.

Stitch: How's that going?

Dylan: It's going good.

Stitch: Yeah?

Dylan: Yeah.

Stitch: Then what are you doing here with me on Valentine's Day?

Dylan: I'm working.

Stitch: Yeah?

Dylan: Yeah, I got plans later. What about you? What are you doing?

Stitch: I'm on duty. The cardiac unit is about as close as I'm getting to anyone's heart.

[Both laugh]

Stitch: Except for this one. I'm taking this one.

Dylan: All right. [Breathes deeply]

Jack: Where did that come from?

Hilary: I -- I -- Jack, um, I did--

Jack: If I gave you the impression that I in any way --

Hilary: No. No, no, no. It was obviously the champagne. You know, or the atmosphere in here -- too many candy hearts. Seriously, look around. There's just hearts plastered everywhere, and the barrage of happy couples --

Jack: Hey, take a breath.

Hilary: How? I am mortified. And I guess you want my resignation now?

Jack: Now, why would I want that?

Hilary: Well, after what I just did.

Jack: You really think I would let an impulsive kiss ruin our business relationship?

Hilary: [Sighs] Thank you for being so great about me getting caught up in a moment.

Jack: And the champagne.

Hilary: Yes. I am... cutting myself off.

Jack: Well, there you have it.

Hilary: Jack, I... just so you know what I'm clear, I know the boundaries. Okay? And I would never do anything to jeopardize the opportunity that you gave me at Jabot.

Neil: Let me put it like this -- I know that we talked about tabling the wedding plans and that we agreed to do it another way... but I really think that we owe people an explanation.

Leslie: I mean, I -- I don't really think it's anybody's business.

Neil: That's true. But I think that people are gonna start to wonder.

Leslie: Okay. Okay. We'll handle it. We'll handle it.

Neil: Leslie, I'm starting to wonder.

Leslie: About us? Okay, come on, now, Neil. You have to know --

Neil: We're gonna have to define in what way we're gonna proceed from right here right now.

Leslie: Okay. We will. But first, I have something for you.

Neil: Hmm?

Leslie: Yeah.

Tyler: Babe, I've got to go take care of something really quick.

Abby: Right now?

Tyler: It won't take long.

Abby: How long?

Tyler: I will be back in plenty of time to celebrate with you, all right?

Abby: Okay. Mwah. Ooh. Changed your mind?

Tyler: I, um...just want to make sure that you knew I didn't want to go.

Abby: It worked.

Tyler: That'll keep me warm. All right.

Devon: How are you doing? Are you enjoying the party?

Esmerelda: It's not really my scene.

Devon: Oh, no? Well, we are in the middle of a major overhaul. Looking to give the place a whole new vibe. I would love to get your input.

Esmerelda: Do you know the owner or something?

Devon: Actually, I do. I'm the owner.

Esmerelda: I'd love to see the place.

Devon: Yeah. How about I give you a private tour?

Esmerelda: [Chuckles]

Kevin: Hey, Abby. We were just saying, it's such a great turnout. You're gonna raise a lot of money for Delia's foundation.

Abby: People want to help. Chloe, um...I was never close to Adam. I reviled him, mostly, but he was still my brother. And I wish there was some huge gesture that my family could make to just show you how much we regret his actions, especially since I'm an Abbott, too, and Delia was my cousin.

Kevin: Well, you know that Billy is working on the foundation, so maybe you should just talk to him.

Abby: It's just the shock of finding out that Adam drove that car and how long he hid it from everyone. It was just so sneaky and devious. Maybe Tyler and I could come up with some sort of marketing project for the Delia project.

Chloe: She's not a project. Okay? She's a child. She's -- she was my child.

Abby: Chloe, I'm sorry. I didn't --

Chloe: I am... I'm sorry. I -- I am so sorry. I -- I'll -- I'll be...

Kevin: Thank you. We're -- we're glad you're here.

Chloe: I know. Okay? I -- I just had a moment, okay? Can we just -- let's just move on.

Kevin: Are you sure you're okay to stay?

Chloe: I'm sure that I want you to stop asking me if I'm okay, okay? 'Cause I'm okay.

Jack: Nurse, could you put the phone by her ear? Thanks. Hey, beautiful. You'll never guess where I am. Not at home, dreaming about you. I'm at the Athletic Club. Big fundraiser for Delia's Foundation, the one I told you about. Pretty neat. Delia would have loved it. You would've loved it, too. I wish you were here. If you were, you'd be wearing a sexy, slinky gown, and... wouldn't matter how cold it was outside, you'd still be the most gorgeous woman in the place. I guess I'm not looking too bad tonight, considering I've been hit on by two women already. You don't have to worry about that, though. I only have eyes for you. One of these days, you're gonna open those beautiful eyes and you're gonna give me hell and... make me laugh and let me know you love me like I love you. I miss you. Happy Valentine's Day. Bye.

Hilary: Hey, um... have you seen Devon?

Abby: Uh, he was giving a tour. I think he headed towards the gym, I think.

Hilary: Okay. Thanks.

Kevin: Hey, you doing all right?

Chloe: Yeah. I'm good. I, uh... I think I need a drink.

Kevin: Okay. Come on and come with me.

Chloe: Um, actually, can I just sit here for like two minutes by myself?

Kevin: So you're saying you need some alone time. Coming right up.

Chloe: [Sighs]

Lily: Hi.

Chloe: Hi. You guys, I mean, what you did to this place, you completely transformed it. It looks beautiful.

Cane: Thank you. It was all Lily.

Lily: Yeah, it's been an honor. I was thrilled when Nikki called me.

Cane: We're just really glad you decided to come.

Chloe: I'm glad, too. I wouldn't miss it.

Lily: You know, I really do admire your strength.

Cane: We loved Delia. We really did.

Chloe: You named her -- Cordelia Katherine Valentine.

Lily: "Cordelia" -- so grand and old-fashioned.

Cane: It means "heart."

Chloe: That's what she was. She was my heart.

Cane: I know. I'm sorry.

Leslie: Happy Valentine's Day.

Neil: You know, I do have a gift for you, but I left it back at my place. Wait. I thought that you --

Leslie: And I thought that now would be the perfect time to give you what I hope will be the perfect gift.

Neil: You are putting a lot of pressure on yourself, you know, lady?

Leslie: Well, you know...

Neil: Mm-hmm. Okay. What is it? It... hey, is it cash? Wait. Or, a gift card. It's a gift card.

Leslie: Tickets to the jazz concert at the Green Mill in Chicago.

Neil: What? Leslie, this is Kurt Elling. How did you know?

Leslie: Well, I know somebody who knows somebody, and, you know, since we missed his new year's show...

Neil: It's amazing.

Leslie: Yeah, I was -- I was thinking we can make a whole weekend of it. You know, five-star hotel, swanky restaurants... do you like it?

Neil: Do I like it? It's perfect.

Leslie: Oh. Goodness. You had me scared there for a minute.

Neil: It's just, I -- I didn't expect this after all the wedding conversations that we've had.

Leslie: What, you thought I wasn't gonna get you anything today? Baby, we are engaged.

Neil: I just thought that, uh... Valentine's Day was a little too traditional for you. You know what I mean?

Leslie: It's an opportunity to show you that I love you. And being married or not doesn't change that.

Avery: Hey. Hi.

Dylan: Hey.

Avery: Why didn't you tell me you went to see Chelsea?

Dylan: That's a weird Valentine greeting. Why don't we try that again?

Avery: Okay. But why didn't you tell me?

Dylan: You're smiling so you can't be that upset.

Avery: I'm not upset. I think it was a lovely gesture.

Dylan: Did you run into Chelsea somewhere?

Avery: Actually, I went to visit her, too.

Dylan: Today?

Avery: Yeah. You know, despite everything that's happened, I feel for her.

Dylan: Yeah, me too.

Avery: There's no reason for me to be upset, because I am finally on solid ground with my guy, and I want to celebrate that.

Dylan: Okay. Where do you want to go? I'm buying.

Avery: No. I am making you a romantic Valentine's dinner.

Dylan: Great minds think alike. Oh. I made this for you.

Avery: You made this. Dylan, it's beautiful.

Dylan: You really think so?

Avery: Yes. I love it. Thank you.

Dylan: There's something inside.

Avery: A necklace.

Dylan: Uh, did you want something else?

Chelsea: No. I'm just surprised.

Dylan: Why? It's Valentine's Day.

Avery: I know. But you're not...a jewelry-giving type of guy.

Dylan: I'm evolving. Thanks to you.

Avery: Oh. Well, I'm evolving, too. Enough to know that you gave this a great deal of consideration. So, tell me -- why a necklace? Put it on?

Dylan: Uh, yeah, I can try.

Avery: Okay.

Dylan: Because of where it would touch you.

Avery: Ooh.

Dylan: It's exactly where I like to kiss.

Avery: Oh, I like that, too. And... a ruby because it's red?

Dylan: Um, because it's you. Where I got it, they said that rubies are a strong healer of the heart. And that's what you are. You healed my heart.

Lauren: How's Chloe doing?

Kevin: Um, well... she didn't want to come here tonight, but I talked her into it. I thought it'd be good for her.

Lauren: Yeah, I'm really glad that you did. It's good for her to see all this outpouring of love for Delia and see the foundation in action and not just an abstract idea. I mean, this is -- it's all positive.

Kevin: I just think it's hard for her to be around this many people.

Lauren: I mean, she must be still reeling from the news about Adam.

Kevin: I mean, that is not something you can just put away in the back of your mind.

Lauren: I know. Thank god she has you as her rock.

Kevin: She's been pushing me away quite a bit.

Lauren: She has? Why?

Kevin: I've been really worried about her obsession with Chelsea and Adam's kid.

Lauren: Are you still worried?

Kevin: I'm trying not to be.

Lauren: Yeah. But she came here with you, right?

Kevin: Yeah. I guess, slowly, we're inching back together.

Lauren: As hard as it is. Maybe in some way, knowing who hit Delia, there's some closure.

Kevin: Yeah, I hope so. And I hope that, gradually, it'll become easier for her to face a future without Delia.

Esther: I'm going home.

Chloe: No, Mom, you don't. I'm sorry that I said that, okay? I just -- I just feel like I'm under the microscope here, and I just -- there's a lot of stress, and I love you for it, but you know how you can be sometimes.

Esther: Yes, I know how I can be sometimes.

Chloe: And I don't want you to leave, okay? I want you to stay because this is where you should be. You should be here. You should be here for me, and you should be here for Delia.

Esther: Oh, honey, that's so sweet of you, but I have to go home because I forgot the collage I made from Delia's artwork, and it would look absolutely perfect onstage with all the other decorations.

Chloe: Mom, you really don't need to leave right now. It's okay. I'll be back before all the action starts. Delia would want people to see this. I love you, honey.

Neil: Hey. Esther. Bye, Esther.

Esther: Bye.

Neil: What's that? Esther leaving?

Chloe: No, she's coming right back.

Neil: Oh. Right. Sure. Um, Chloe, I know you've heard this a lot this evening, but this really is for a wonderful cause. And as difficult as it may be for you, it's great to see you here, you know, supporting the work of the foundation. Okay. Earth to Chloe. I'm here. Me -- remember me?

Chloe: Sure. I... thank you. Thank you for being here. Thank you.

Neil: I'm...sorry.

Kelly: Uh, James, you're a really nice guy, but I'm just not looking to date anyone right now. Lily should've never set us up. I hope you find the right person.

James: Well, I hope you do, too.

Kelly: [Sighs]

Chelsea: Jack. Hi. Um, where's the party?

Jack: Uh, it's in the ballroom.

Chelsea: My head's so messed up, I don't even know where I'm going.

Jack: Yeah, I think that's understandable.

Chelsea: Um... I'm really sorry for lashing out at you about Victor and the baby and --

Jack: No, no. You don't even apologize about anything.

Chelsea: [Breathes deeply] I decided I should come tonight. I left Connor with my mom, and she convinced me that I haven't done anything wrong and I shouldn't be hiding. I should get back out there in the world. And then convinced myself that I should be here...for Delia's sake, to show gratitude to her and her whole family for what they gave Connor. I mean, he would be blind if... [Breathes deeply] But now I'm here and I'm afraid to go upstairs. I feel like if I walk into that room, everyone will hate me.

Jack: 'Cause you were married to Adam. You know what? They'll probably hate me, as well. I loved Adam, too.

Chelsea: But you're Delia's uncle.

Jack: You know what? I think my niece would heartily approve of my escorting you to this event. What do you say? Want to go on my arm?

Leslie: Hey, where's Tyler? I haven't seen him for a while.

Abby: Tyler left.

Leslie: Did you two have an argument or...?

Abby: Oh, no, no. He just had to take care of something at the office, but he promised he'd be back soon.

Leslie: Oh, okay. Excuse me.

Abby: Okay.

Tyler: [Sighs]

Avery: How do you like it?

Dylan: Uh, any way you want it?

Avery: [Laughs] I'm talking about the necklace.

Dylan: Ha! The necklace is... I like it. And I like this.

Avery: I was hoping you would.

Dylan: This is nice. You look so beautiful. I love you.

Avery: I love you.

[Thuds]

Dylan: Oh, watch out.

[Both laugh]

Lauren: Hi, honey. Um, Kevin wanted me to tell you that he's just caught up with some co-workers over there.

Chloe: Oh. Okay. That's fine. [Chuckles]

Lauren: So, how's work going?

Chloe: Uh... it's...not. It's -- it's not going.

Lauren: Yeah, I was afraid of that. I mean, you and Chelsea really got slammed with all this. How's she handling this?

Chloe: How is she handling this? You want to know how Chelsea's doing. You want to know how she's doing? Well, um, I'm guessing that Chelsea's doing just fine, considering that she still has her child because her sick, selfish bastard of a husband killed my little girl! That's how I think –

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Colin: This night will be one that you'll never forget.

Womack: You can repay your debt to me tonight.

Fen: How?

Nikki: If you think you're going, you're out of your mind.

Victor: Of course, I want to go. Why wouldn't I go?
