Chelsea: It was Adam's idea.
Billy: For, what, you guys to leave the country now?
Adam: And why not now?
Billy: Well, I don't know. I mean, you hear about people loving Paris in the springtime. But now, in the dead of winter? That's crazy.
Chelsea: [Chuckles] Well, Billy, we're moving from Wisconsin. Where else could we go where the winter would be worse, right?
Billy: Damn good point. Okay.
Chelsea: It's always been a dream of mine to live in Paris.
Billy: What about your business? Your business, too?
Chelsea: Well, Adam can build his company from Europe. And Chloe's here to deal with Chelsea by Jabot.
Adam: New year, new start.
Chelsea: Yeah. We can give Connor a really great life there.
Billy: What about Delia?
Victoria: You wanted to talk to me?
Kelly: Yes, uh... something's bothering me.
Victoria: Uh, something I said earlier?
Kelly: No.
Victoria: Kelly, I hope you didn't think I was being rude when I left the room. I just -- I had to take that business call, and I figured that you and Billy had some things to discuss.
Kelly: I know. I know.
Victoria: And, you know, then I had to get ready --
Kelly: Victoria, that's not why I came back.
Victoria: Oh. Okay. Well, whatever brought you back here, it must be pretty serious, huh?
Kelly: Yeah, for me it is.
Victoria: Okay. What did you want to talk to me about?
Kelly: Me and Billy.
Chloe: What's that?
Kevin: Uh, it's your shampoo. You left it at my place when you had been staying there.
Chloe: Oh, well, um, I got a new bottle, so you can just toss it.
Kevin: You may as well keep it. Um, can wash your hair twice as much. [Chuckles]
Chloe: Thanks. Bye.
Kevin: And I was using this as an excuse to come over here and talk to you.
Chloe: Kevin --
Kevin: Because I have some really important news to share with you.
Lily: I just had the most amazing brainstorming session with the designer. I am so glad that I hired her to help revamp the place.
Devon: That's good to hear. What did she say to you?
Lily: Uh, first things first -- taking down that wall.
Cane: Wait, wait. We can't take down the wall.
[Cell phone rings]
Lily: Hi. This is Lily.
Devon: Why do I suddenly think this renovation's gonna take longer than we planned?
Cane: I thought we were gonna do scrape and paint. We start moving walls around, this place won't be ready till Labor Day.
Lily: Oh, my God. We just got our first event, and it's gonna be huge. [Chuckles]
Sharon: It can't wait. There's something you need to know.
Nick: [Sighs] When is this doctor gonna come out here and tell us something? This is driving me crazy.
Sharon: Nick, did you hear what I just said?
Nick: Yeah, that you had something that you have to tell me.
Sharon: Yes, and it's about --
Nick: Sharon, could we not do this right now, please? I just can't do it.
Sharon: You have to. Because I've got to get this out right now.
Nick: Okay. What is it?
Jack: Where is my daughter?
Nick: Summer's in there.
Jack: Oh, my God.
Stitch: Y-you all need to wait out here for now.
Jack: No, but I -- wait, you were at the veteran's day event. You're a doctor?
Stitch: Dr. Ben Rayburn. I'm a resident, one of the people attempting to keep that young woman alive.
Jack: Keep her alive? It's that -- it's that serious? I got to go in there.
Stitch: No one sees her yet. We need you all to wait out here while we try to help Summer.
Jack: What happened?
Sharon: Summer had a cardiac episode.
Jack: A cardiac ep-- are you saying my daughter had a heart attack?!
Nick: "Episode" is the word they're using. They don't know what happened. They just know that her heartbeat went into overdrive, and they don't know why.
Jack: Where was she when this happened? Who brought her to the emergency room?
Sharon: She was at the old riverfront lofts.
Jack: She was at a Jabot photo shoot?
Sharon: Yes. When I got there, one of the models had told me that she went out to get some air. When I went out to look for her, I found her at the bottom of the stairs. She was unconscious.
Jack: Just like Phyllis. Talk to me, Sharon! I need details!
Sharon: I-I wish I had more, Jack. I-I don't know. Whatever happened that made Summer black out, it happened before I got there. And I'm really sorry.
Nick: Sharon, don't do that. You found her. You made sure she got to the hospital.
Jack: Wait, you were there, too?
Nick: No, Sharon called me.
Jack: I'm her father! Why didn't you call me?
Lily: That was Nikki Newman on the phone.
Cane: And what was she proposing?
Lily: The fundraiser for the Delia project. [Chuckles]
Devon: Wow. When's that gonna be, next year?
Lily: No, in a few weeks.
Cane: Wait, wait, wait. We can't do this in a few weeks.
Lily: Because Devon owns the place and you and I are managing it, we were her first choice. Isn't that great?
Cane: Uh, Baby, we are remodeling.
Devon: Yeah, Lily, with all the construction work that you have planned, plus the plumbing repairs, the kitchen work, any other work that we discover needs to be done --
Lily: Okay, look, I know what you're gonna say.
Devon: That we're not gonna be able to host a group of high rollers that soon? 'Cause we're not.
Lily: Most of the renovations are in the guest rooms. It's fine.
Cane: Okay, but the place could be full of dust and fumes.
Lily: Look, all you need for a first-class event is a beautiful entryway into a gorgeously remodeled ballroom.
Cane: Okay, but that's a lot of work to get done in a short amount of time.
Lily: How can we turn Nikki down? We can't.
Devon: You call her back, and you say, "We’re sorry. We're can't do it."
Lily: But we can do it. Okay. [Sighs] Do you guys really want to say no to the Delia project, a cause that we are personally connected to?
Cane: I don't want to say no to the Delia project. You know that. The problem is --
Lily: Look, this is our opportunity to show these high rollers and everybody else in town what the club is all about. Am I right?
Cane: Okay. And what is the club all about?
Lily: Well, I don't know. It's Devon's place.
Devon: Oh, no, no, no. I want to hear your thoughts. What's your vision as manager?
Lily: Well, I think the place should be...elegant and classy. You know, but with some old-school charm. And it should be unique, unlike any other establishment in town. And this should be a place where you come to relax and be comfortable while still being pampered. How's that?
Devon: That's great. It sounds like the G.C.A.C.
Cane: I agree with him. I think you described the way the club is right now. So I don't see the point in changing it just to change it.
Lily: 'Cause I want to put my mark on it.
Cane: But don't let your mark wipe out what is unique about this place.
Devon: Listen, Lily, I think the place is beautiful. I really do. I love it. That's one of the reasons why I bought it. So let's not try and reinvent the wheel.
Lily: Fine. I guess we could just spruce it up here and there. Okay?
Devon: That's good.
Cane: Okay.
Lily: But that wall is still coming down.
Cane: No! No! No, can't take the wall down. Wall can't come down.
Devon: You can't take the wall down.
Victoria: Ask me if I'm surprised.
Kelly: You're not?
Victoria: I thought something might have happened between you and Billy.
Kelly: What do you mean?
Victoria: Well, you took off so quickly before. And, uh, you know, after you left, Billy just seemed -- I don't know. I mean... I don't know why he's upset. I mean, what's going on? Is there something wrong?
Kelly: No, it's just about the phone conversation that we had earlier.
Victoria: Oh. Well, what does that have to do with Billy?
Kelly: No, you just said that you wanted to organize a do-over dinner sometime soon.
Victoria: Yes, but you don't want to do that.
Kelly: I don't want to do that.
Victoria: Well, why not? Did something change from our last attempt at dinner?
Kelly: No. Well, uh... see, the thing is that Billy and I aren't the kind of friends that you think we are.
Victoria: But you seem --
Kelly: Yeah, we're two people that met at a grief-support group, and we bonded over our mutual losses.
Victoria: Yeah, I know. And you've shared some very intimate moments.
Kelly: Yeah. That's true.
Victoria: And you've had coffee together, and you --
Kelly: We did. We tried to be friends. It just -- it didn't work.
Victoria: Why not?
Kelly: Because... we just realized that the bond that we formed in the grief-support group shouldn't be carried over into our regular lives. It's -- it's not a good idea. But I wanted to tell you that I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. I don't have a lot of friends here, and thank you for the invitation.
Victoria: Oh, man. I really -- I really botched this.
Kelly: No, no. You didn't, Victoria. It's just I-I don't think that you should keep trying to get us together.
Victoria: I never really meant to put anybody in an uncomfortable situation.
Kelly: Let's just...just not push the issue.
Victoria: That's basically what Billy said.
Kelly: He did?
Victoria: Yeah, he talked about how going from the intensity of group to a social setting could get a little awkward, and I think I'm starting to get that now.
Kelly: [Chuckles] Thanks for understanding.
Victoria: Kelly, the reason that I was trying to arrange for us to all do something together is because I wanted to... I wanted to let you know how grateful I am to you.
Kelly: I didn't do anything.
Victoria: You listened to him in the way that he needed to be listened to. And lately it just seems like he's really opening up to me. And I think a large part of that is due to the comfort that you've given him.
Adam: What do you mean about Delia?
Billy: Well, you went to all this trouble to form a foundation in my daughter's name, and now you're just gonna bail.
Adam: I'm leaving the Delia project in very capable hands, with very capable attorneys, and I'm signing you on to be the chairman of the board, so everything is -- it's great. I'm confident everything's gonna be taken care of.
Billy: Okay. That's why I'm here. I need you to sign these.
Chelsea: I'm gonna let you guys handle that. I'm gonna run out for a minute.
Adam: Where are you headed off to?
Chelsea: Well, there are a few things I have to take care of before we fly off to Paris, you know.
Billy: Those are nice.
Chelsea: Thanks again. They are nice, right? Calla lilies are really hard to find this time of year, but my fiancé managed to track them down for me. All right, I'll see you later.
Adam: You know, if you wait just a second, I can sign these and go with you.
Chelsea: No, it's fine. You and Billy have business you need to take care of. So do I. I'll see you soon. Bye, Billy.
Billy: Bye. Well, congratulations on your engagement and your re-engagement.
Adam: Yeah. Let me get to this so I can get you on your way and I can get back to what I got to do, unless you want to stick around and help me pack.
Billy: I don't get it. You're marrying the woman that you love. You're getting to move an ocean away from your dad. Your kid's healthy.
Adam: Yes, yes, and yes. So?
Billy: So why you so stressed?
Nick: I called you.
Jack: Yeah, I did see a message.
Nick: Didn't you listen to it?
Jack: No, I didn't think it was urgent. If it had come from Sharon, I would have known it was urgent. She was at the shoot.
Nick: Then how'd you find out?
Jack: I happened to run into one of the other models on the shoot. That's how I found out my daughter is in the hospital. Why didn't you call me?
Sharon: I'm sorry, Jack. It was a knee-jerk reaction, and then everything got so hectic.
Stitch: Excuse me. I need to talk to Summer's father alone.
Jack: I'm Summer's father.
Stitch: You said you were Summer's father.
Nick: Yeah, I was, and I still consider --
Jack: I'm Jack Abbott. What can you tell me about my daughter? Anything you have to tell me, you can say in front of them.
Stitch: Your daughter is still unconscious. But her blood pressure seems to have stabilized.
Jack: That sounds like good news.
Stitch: Yes. But Summer's rapid heart rate caused her blood pressure to drop very quickly, so quickly that she collapsed and went into a high-output congestive heart failure.
Jack: Is that as serious as it sounds?
Stitch: It can be.
Sharon: But Summer will be all right.
Nick: Can this condition be reversed?
Jack: Is any of this damage permanent?
Stitch: We need more information before we can answer those questions. What we do know is that the EMTs got there in time. They probably saved Summer's life.
Nick: So what happens next?
Jack: When do we find out why her heart rate spiked like that to begin with?
Stitch: Cardiology has ordered more tests. Those will be administered soon. Then we'll know more.
Nick: I don't understand how a perfectly healthy young woman's heart can just fail.
Stitch: It's nearly impossible unless she'd taken drugs.
Victoria: After Billy's little girl died, I feel like there's a lot of vices that he could have gotten lost in. So I'm just really grateful that he found you and your companionship, and, you know, you've really been there for him.
Kelly: Thank you. Thank you. Uh, he's done a lot for me, too. It's just I think that I need to stop, you know, leaning so heavily on other people and find other ways to go.
Victoria: All right. Well, if you ever need us, we're here. Okay?
Kelly: Thank you. Thank you for your kindness.
Victoria: Oh, that's very nice for you to say about a person who practically tried to force you into a friendship that you didn't want.
Kelly: Mm.
Victoria: Oh, and I have to apologize for trying to fix you up with Stitch, too. I mean, I really jumped the gun on that one.
Kelly: Uh...
Victoria: Apparently he's pretty raw from the breakup of his marriage, and he's just really not ready for a relationship right now.
Kelly: No, that's okay. You don't need to apologize for that. I should really get going. Um, it was nice talking to you. I would say, uh, I'll see you later, but...
Victoria: Oh, no. I know. We probably won't.
Kelly: It's nice knowing you, Victoria.
Victoria: Nice knowing you.
Chloe: Kevin, I told you... we're over.
Kevin: Yeah, and I told you I'm not giving up. Chloe, we don't have to end things.
Chloe: You know what? I really don't want to be with someone who thinks that I'm some baby-obsessed crazy person.
Kevin: I told you I understand why you want to be close to Connor.
Chloe: You know what? You said it, but I don't think you really mean it.
Kevin: If you could just trust me a little bit longer --
Chloe: Right, right. I'm supposed to wait. You know, I'm not supposed to call things off. I'm supposed to wait until you bring me some peace of mind.
Kevin: Well, I'm sure as hell gonna try.
Chloe: Kevin, it's never gonna happen. You're never gonna bring me peace of mind because you're never gonna bring my daughter back.
Kevin: But I can try and find some justice.
Adam: I'm moving across an ocean. I have a million things to do before I go. And you're gonna talk to me about stress, huh?
[Knock on door]
Adam: Excuse me. Yes?
Officer: Are you Adam Newman?
Adam: Yes, I am, but I'm in a hurry.
Officer: Then we'll make this quick.
Adam: Come on in, please.
Officer: Going somewhere?
Adam: I have a lot going on, Officers. What do you need?
Officer: I thought you knew. The police athletic league.
Adam: That's right. Yes. Chelsea, my fiancée, she told me about that. I completely forgot. I already have the check made out. Hold on one second. I hope that this helps.
Officer: Thank you, Sir. It will.
Adam: Here. Let me show you to the door. Sorry to rush you out.
Officer: It's no problem.
Adam: [Sighs] They say if you take a picture, it'll last longer. What?
Billy: I didn't realize you were that generous.
Adam: Maybe I'm not. Chelsea's the one who promised them the donation, so what are you gonna do?
Billy: Created the foundation for Delia. Clearly you're supporting the police. Man, you got your bases covered, don't you?
Kevin: We got a hot lead on the hit-and-run driver.
Chelsea: You did? What did you find out?
Chloe: Uh, c-Chelsea, what are you doing here?
Chelsea: Well, I have some news, too, but what did I walk in on? Did the police find Delia's killer?
Kevin: I can't say anything about it just yet, but, um, it's looking like there's gonna be some developments soon.
Chloe: Well, I guess that's more news than we've had before. Uh, what's -- what's your news?
Chelsea: It's something pretty great.
Chloe: Oh, great. My Spidey senses got all tingly. It reeks of Adam.
Chelsea: Well, um, it's good, and, yes, it does have to do with Adam and me and the wonderful, happy life we're gonna have together.
Kevin: Now my Spidey senses are going crazy.
Chloe: Yeah. What is it?
Chelsea: We're moving to Paris.
Chloe: What? [Scoffs] When?
Chelsea: Right away. Well, in -- in a couple days.
Chloe: How?
Chelsea: That's actually why I'm here, as well. I need to kind of get started. I have to clean out my desk and take important work things with me, tie up any loose ends before we leave.
Chloe: Wait, Chelsea, you can't -- you can't do this. I mean, you can't let Adam make you do this.
Chelsea: No, no, no. This is my choice, Chloe. This is my dream. Adam and I -- we would have been in Paris for a year already if we had stuck to the original plan. This is now our second chance.
Chloe: You can't take Connor away from me.
Cane: Given the time constraints, I think that winter wonderland is the best way to go.
Lily: No, no, no. That is way too predictable. And, plus, we have already so much snow in Genoa City as it is.
Devon: At least my idea has some flavor to it.
Victoria: Hi. What'd I walk in on?
Devon: Well, we're trying to decide on an idea for the Delia fundraiser, and I came up with a great concept these guys won't even consider.
Cane: That is 'cause my idea is more brilliant!
Devon: Okay.
Lily: And their ideas are not half as brilliant as mine, so...
Cane: Oh, yeah. I love you, Baby. But if you say that, it means --
Lily: Okay, you know what? Enough. We have a perfectly capable judge right here in our midst, right? Victoria, you're a creative, intelligent woman with impeccable taste. How about you cast the deciding vote, yeah?
Nick: Look, I already told you Summer doesn't do drugs.
Stitch: The model I spoke with earlier gave me some pills, pills she said Summer had taken.
Nick: So from that you're assuming --
Stitch: I sent the pills to our lab for analysis as well as drew blood from Summer to test for drugs and other toxins.
Jack: And what were the results of those lab tests?
Stitch: They aren't in yet. But I'll keep you posted on what we find.
Jack: Wait. When can I see her?
Stitch: Cardiology is still evaluating, Mr. Abbott. So she won't be allowed any visitors for a while.
Jack: But you'll keep me informed.
Stitch: I'll do that.
Jack: God. Summer taking drugs. I cannot believe this.
Nick: You don't know if that's true.
Jack: So the pills that he took to the lab are, what, a figment of the doctor's imagination?
Nick: Just 'cause some model blurts that out, you think it's true? I was with Summer the other day. She seemed perfectly fine. In fact, we had the best time together that we've had in months. You tell him, Sharon.
Sharon: Uh, Nick, why don't we go and get a cup of coffee?
Nick: I'm not going anywhere until I figure out what exactly is happening here.
Jack: I'll tell you what's happening here. My daughter is dealing with an inordinate amount of stress.
Nick: And you're the reason of that stress.
Jack: Oh, is that right?
Nick: Yeah, that's right. You work her all day long at Jabot. I hear the conditions aren't great.
Jack: That was one shoot, Nick.
Nick: And now this.
Jack: And her mother has been in a hospital room for months on end, and she was lied to her entire life by you! That has added to her stress and pain, believe me.
Sharon: Stop it!
Victoria: I don't know what your ideas are all about, but I'm sure whatever you come up with will be perfect.
Lily: [Chuckles] Well, like Devon said, we're trying to come up with a theme for your mother's fundraiser for the Delia project.
Victoria: Right. Mom called to tell me that she started coordinating the event and that you all would be handling it.
Devon: Any input you may have, Victoria, is --
Victoria: Uh, no. No input. Um, I have a business meeting here later. Um, but I just thought I'd let you know that you have my support, and I will help with the fundraiser however I can.
Cane: Excellent!
Victoria: Except for choosing a theme. That's your challenge. Not mine.
Kelly: No, it's mine. Kelly Andrews, your liaison between the foundation and GC Cares. Nikki sent me.
Victoria: Hi.
Kelly: [Chuckles]
Cane: Do you two know each other?
Adam: Covering my bases. In what way?
Billy: Well, you know, clean up your act before you bolt. Makes sense to me. You wouldn't want to blow out of town and leave behind a horrible reputation.
Adam: You know me all too well, Billy. Let me sign this and officially make you... the chairman of the board.
Billy: Yeah. Well, I guess the karmic scales really are balanced now, aren't they?
Adam: Karmic scales?
Billy: Yeah. You used that phrase recently.
Adam: Yeah, I remember. We talked about it.
Billy: Yeah. We did. It stuck with me because someone I've been communicating with on the grief chat support room used the exact same words.
Chloe: Connor's still an infant. Everything that he knows and needs is here. Including me, his godmother.
Chelsea: Chloe --
Chloe: You gave me this incredible honor. You said that I was gonna be one of the most important people in his life. And w-what was that? I mean, were you just throwing me a bone?
Chelsea: No, that's not why I asked you.
Chloe: All the while, you knew that you were going to Paris?
Chelsea: No, no. That's not true. That's not true. I didn't -- I didn't know. Adam just sprung it on me.
Chloe: Oh, yeah. Of course. Of course this is Adam.
Chelsea: What is that supposed to mean?
Chloe: Chelsea, come on. He puts that huge ring on your finger to blind you, and he fills your head up with all these romantic things about moving to Europe together. I mean, come on. Wake up. He's the same monster that you were afraid was gonna keep your son away from you. And now do you realize that he is trying to make you do the same thing to me? It's the same damn thing.
Chelsea: I made you a promise.
Chloe: Yeah, and you're breaking it. Adam is making you break it.
Chelsea: I promised you that you will always be a part of my life and Connor's life. I meant that. Nothing's going to change that.
Chloe: How? What are you talking about? You're going to Paris.
Chelsea: Nothing will change. I promise. Not -- not between you and me and Connor. It won't change.
[Cell phone rings]
Kevin: Its work [Clears throat] Hello? Okay, I'll be right there.
Chloe: Wait, was that about Delia?
Kevin: Maybe.
Chloe: What kind of answer is that?
Kevin: I don't want to get your hopes up.
Chelsea: So it was good news.
Kevin: The information that we're waiting on with the hit-and-run driver --
Chloe: Think you found it?
Kevin: This could be something about it, but again --
Chloe: Okay! Well, then, listen, you need to go, and you need to hurry up and just find out what's what. Okay?
Kevin: Okay. I'll call you.
Chloe: No, don't just call me just to call me. Not like the shampoo. We're done with all of that.
Chelsea: Shampoo?
Chloe: Just call me if it's worth knowing, okay?
Kevin: I'll call you later.
Chloe: So when are -- when are we going?
Chelsea: "We"? What -- what do you --?
Chloe: You said nothing would change.
Chelsea: Yeah, but I-I --
Chloe: I mean, when you were first going to Paris, you invited me.
Chelsea: Chloe, that was different.
Chloe: And we're still partners in this, right?
Chelsea: Of course. But, Chloe, I --
Chloe: Okay, well, then that's still the plan. And if you're going to Paris, [Sighs] So am I.
Sharon: You're worried and you are upset and you have every right to be. But going at each other, especially here, isn't going to help Summer. So can't you put your differences aside just for now, Jack, and both of you focus on Summer getting better?
Jack: I'll tell you one thing I'm not gonna do. I'm not going to leave my daughter in the care of some resident. I'll bring in the best damn cardiologist I can find.
Nick: Let me know if you need help with that.
Jack: Thanks.
Nick: Thank you, Sharon.
Sharon: I did that for Summer. If she knew that you two were fighting over her again...
Nick: I meant for calling the EMTs.
Sharon: Oh, Summer needed help.
Nick: And for calling me, too. I know Jack's her father, but if hadn't found out till later -- I need to be there for her. Thank you. You're shaking, too. I guess I didn't think about how tough this would be for you.
Sharon: Nick, finding her there like that.
Nick: It must have been so scary, but, Sharon, you saved her. You were there for her. You saved her. And I will never forget that. I'll always be grateful.
Sharon: I just hope she'll be okay.
Nick: Jack's right. I can justify why I hid the truth from her because, you know, we had -- we had just lost Cassie.
Sharon: Nick.
Nick: I did this. I put Summer through so much stress. I literally broke her heart.
Sharon: Summer is a strong, resilient woman. And you know what? She's got a huge, adoring family surrounding her, and there's not one person -- not one person -- on this planet who cherishes her more than you do.
Nick: If there's something seriously wrong with her...
Sharon: You and Summer danced the other night, and you told you loved her, right? That's gonna make her heal, just knowing that.
Nick: Sharon, I know what you're saying, but...
Sharon: Nick... I'm gonna go and get you that cup of coffee. And while you're standing here looking at her, I want you to remember something. That Summer knows how much you love her, and she'll never stop loving you. You're her father.
Chelsea: I wish I had said this better so -- so you understood.
Chloe: No, I-I do understand.
Chelsea: I love you, Chloe, but it's really important that Adam and I do this on our own so we can rebuild our relationship and -- and truly start over.
Chloe: Yeah, I could use a fresh start, too. I don't know. I-I was thinking that Paris could maybe be the perfect place, you know. And -- and I could help with Connor. I mean, it would be so great for him to have a familiar face in a new environment.
Chelsea: What about our company, though? I mean, we're still part of Jabot.
Chloe: Yeah, exactly. I mean, how are we gonna run a business when we're living in different cities?
Chelsea: We could make it work. Chloe, we could.
Chloe: Chelsea, really? I mean, you're gonna be starting a whole new life on a different continent. I mean, explain to me exactly -- exactly how that's supposed to work.
Chelsea: I meant what I said when I said that you will always be Connor's godmother. We can -- we can video chat all the time. You can visit as much as you want. And then once we're settled in Paris, after maybe a year or two --
Chloe: A year?
Chelsea: After a while, maybe you could move. I don't know. Just give me a little bit of time. And by that point, Adam and I might even move back. Who knows?
Chloe: But what am I gonna do with a whole year? [Voice breaking] My God, I don't even -- I don't even have anybody left.
Chelsea: No, that's not true. You have your mom and our company and -- and Kevin.
Chelsea: Oh, my God. Kevin and I aren't even together anymore.
Chelsea: I know it's a lot. And I know it's so sudden, but I promise you it's gonna be okay.
Chloe: [Sighs]
Chelsea: Okay?
Chloe: Yeah. I guess I'm just gonna miss my best friend.
Chelsea: I know. I'm gonna miss you, too.
Chloe: Hey, at least we have a few days together, right?
Chelsea: Yeah. Yeah. And, um, I want to talk about this more about this. I do. I just have a few more things I have to do --
Chloe: Yeah, no. I know. I know. You need to get back... to Connor.
Chelsea: I won't leave without saying goodbye.
Kelly: Hey. This is a little awkward.
Victoria: No. No, not so much.
Kelly: Oh, come on! It's very awkward after the big speech I gave at your house.
Victoria: We'll just have to promise to never ever hang out socially. No calls, no chats, no coffee, nothing.
Kelly: Uh, I could probably get someone else to do this.
Victoria: No, Kelly. Listen, we both have to be doing this, obviously. You know, I mean, it's my mother's undertaking, and Delia was my stepdaughter. And you have to do this, obviously, because it's your job. You know, its one event. Can't we find a way to work on this without things getting weird for you and me and Billy?
Kelly: Deal. Okay. I think it'd probably look ridiculous if one of us bowed out.
Victoria: Yeah, I was kind of thinking the same thing.
Cane: Okay, all right. There's one more thing we need before we get started.
Victoria: What's that?
Cane: As the chair of the foundation, Billy has to sign off on the event.
Billy: Well, thanks for making me official.
Adam: Happy to.
Billy: And good luck on the move.
Adam: Thank you.
Billy: Even if it is sudden.
Adam: After this past year?
Billy: Well, yeah. You and Chelsea, you have been through it. I don't blame you for wanting to get out of dodge.
Adam: Yeah, it'll be better for everyone.
Billy: Yeah, well, I probably won't see you before you take off, so...I want to tell you one last time, again, I really appreciate what you did for my daughter. You kept her name alive. And even if you won't be here to see the foundation take off, well, a piece of my daughter lives in your son. So I guess in a way she'll always be with you.
Adam: Goodbye, Billy.
Billy: Travel safe.
Victoria: There will be no problem with Billy signing off on the fundraiser.
Devon: Okay, well, it will be good to have him involved. Is that okay with you? 'Cause I know you guys aren't the best of friends.
Cane: No, it's fine. We both want the event to be a huge success. We loved Delia very much. It's okay.
Lily: It'll be great. All of us working together as a team.
Cane: That's right.
Victoria: Well, despite our best efforts, it looks like you and Billy and I are destined to keep being thrown together.
Adam: Hey.
Chelsea: You're already packed?
Adam: The sooner we're ready, the better. What's wrong?
Chelsea: I just had a really sad conversation with Chloe.
Adam: The move?
Chelsea: Let's just say she didn't take the news well.
Adam: What happened?
Chelsea: She wants to come to Paris with us. I feel awful. Chloe's having a really hard time dealing with Delia's death.
Adam: Yeah, and this is exactly why we need to leave.
Chloe: My sweet baby. I am so lucky that you came into my life. You mean everything to me. And I'm not gonna let anyone take you away.
Billy: [Chuckles]
Sharon: Please, God... just please let Summer be okay. If anything happened to her, I... I don't know what I'd do. Her father can't lose her again.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Chelsea: Will you marry me, Adam, before we jump on that plane?
Nick: Sharon, I know there's something going on with you. I want you to tell me what it is, and I want you to tell me now.
Jack: You can't begin to imagine the love I have for my daughter.
Victor: You will never be Summer's father.
