Jill: [Chuckles] Damn you, Katherine. Here I thought I had my new year's resolution all set. Stop obsessing on your pathetic little mind game. But how can I do that when every day there's some reminder of what an ogre you were? Well, here's a headline that should make you proud. Billionaire grandson trashing a hotel room like the worst kind of hoodlum. See, this is what happens when you leave billions of dollars to some irresponsible kid who isn't equipped to handle it. [Sighs] Should've bequeathed it to me. I would've invested it and watched your fortune grow, but no. Devon's got to be squandering it on frivolous nonsense.

Hilary: Like that million-dollar reward for information on your granddaughter's killer? Is that the sort of thing you consider frivolous, Jill?

Jill: Well, Hilary, please come in.

Billy: Oh, guess what time it is, folks. It's America's favorite game, "Guess what mommy's forgetting."

Victoria: And...go.

Billy: Boarding passes.

Victoria: In my purse.

Billy: Presents for Reed.

Victoria: Yep.

Billy: Snacks for the plane.

Victoria: Affirmative. I've got everything I need. Except...for you. I know -- I know we're only gonna be gone a few days, but I'm really gonna miss you.

Billy: No, you're not.

Victoria: Yes, I am.

Billy: No, you're not. You know why? 'Cause I'm not gonna give you a chance. G.C. to D.C., round-trip ticket.

Victoria: What?! You're coming with us?

Billy: Well, not exactly with. The plane was full. But I got a seat on the next one, so yeah.

Victoria: [Gasps] Reed is gonna be so thrilled!

Billy: Oh, yes. Until we have to play because I'm going to beat him. He's going to lose his title of reigning champ of "Attack of Killer Alien Zombies." I will not rest until I beat this kid in an epic rematch. My title.

Victoria: It feels so good to have things back to normal.

Kyle: The research you asked for. I think you'll find it very enlightening.

Victor: Bonaventure Industries. That wasn't due till next week. Have a seat, Kyle.

Kyle: You said it was a top priority, Sir.

Victor: You know, Kyle, in my experience... the devil lies in the details. And to study details usually takes a long time.

Kyle: I went over the financials with a microscope, Victor. And I think you'll be pleased to know that Bonaventure is on track to post a profit this quarter, so it sounds like a keeper to me.

Victor: Maybe. Maybe not.

Kyle: Why would you jettison a company in a hot industry that's just beginning to gain traction?

Victor: Why, indeed?

Adam: So I guess Kyle turned out to be a better mole than even you thought he'd be.

Jack: Well, I had my doubts at first. But hear this. He managed to smuggle out a copy of Bonaventure's preliminary quarterly report.

Adam: Anything interesting?

Jack: A sea of red ink parting. They're announcing their first profit ever, way ahead of schedule.

Adam: What do you think it means?

Jack: Not sure, but given all that, Victor's gonna hold on to this subsidiary, which gives us time to see if anything hinky is going on.

Adam: Speaking of the "Us" thing, Jack... while I applaud your efforts to undermine my father, I'm afraid that I'm gonna have to bow out.

Jack: Wait. I thought you wanted payback.

Adam: There's something I want even more.

Chloe: So, I brought by your favorite chocolate croissants. I brought a bunch of new samples for you since you weren't crazy about the last ones that we looked at on Christmas. Oh, and I also brought by Connor's onesie. I accidentally took it the other day. I hope you weren't looking for it.

Chelsea: What?

Chloe: Nothing. It's actually really not that important -- not as important as the papers you're looking at.

Chelsea: My divorce is final.

Chloe: Oh. Those papers.

Chelsea: I mean, we signed them a while ago, but now it's official. [Sighs] So now I have no connection to Dylan at all, legally or otherwise.

Chloe: None? No connection?

Chelsea: Not at all.

Chloe: Okay, well, you can keep telling yourself that, but I don't buy it for a second.

Victor: You know, Kyle, Newman-Chancellor's only as strong as its weakest link, and I don't like any weak links, neither amongst my subsidiaries nor amongst the people who work for me.

Kyle: If there is a weak link amongst your staff, Victor, it isn't me. Everything you've asked for I have always delivered.

Victor: This time, my grandson beat you to it. He dropped off his assessment of Bonaventure Industries earlier on. It will be interesting to find out who of you has more useful information.

Kyle: Victor, you asked me to look into financials and Noah to look into production. I wasn't aware that this was a competition.

Victor: Then why did you rush to get your report to me?

Kyle: With all due respect, Victor, that's your interpretation. I put in the hours like I always do.

Victor: You know, Kyle, it seems to me that you and Noah spend a lot of time competing with each other. I may not have made myself perfectly clear. I thought I'd done so by implication. I want the two of you to join forces.

Jill: How my family and I are dealing with Delia's death is really none of your concern.

Hilary: I'm just trying to give you a little perspective. Devon's done some good things with his inheritance.

Jill: What do you want? How did you even get in here?

Hilary: I came through the kitchen so I can say hello to Esther.

Jill: [Chuckles] If you think it's gonna do you any good to suck up to that ninny, you're wrong. She may not have the brains to see through your little ploy, but I do.

Hilary: If you're worried that I'm gonna tell people that you were alone, talking to a picture on the wall, don't be. It'll be our little secret.

Jill: What do you want, Hilary?

Hilary: A copy of Bonaventure's financial records, courtesy of Kyle. Jack wants you to go through them, see if you can spot anything useful.

Jill: Fantastic.

Hilary: I see you still have Katherine's music box. Guess you decided to keep it after all.

Jill: No, I did not. But every time I try to get rid of it, it boomerangs back to me.

Hilary: Well, maybe you should take it as a sign.

Jill: [Sighs] What kind of a sign? That I didn't rate an appropriate parting gift while she leaves her billions to Devon to squander in Vegas?

Hilary: You shouldn't believe everything you read.

Jill: Why? Did you have a hand in that? Are you missing tearing people's lives apart?

Hilary: Yeah, I've done some terrible things, okay? But Devon hasn't. He doesn't deserve to be vilified.

Devon: Don't bother, Hilary.

Jill: That is good advice. There is no defense for disrespecting Katherine's memory.

Hilary: And how is trying to unload her music box any different?

Jill: You can go now. And you, Devon...

Devon: Yes?

Jill: Who said there's no such thing as bad publicity?

Devon: I've seen that. I know. I was stupid, Jill.

Jill: You sure were!

Devon: I was stupid because I trusted the wrong person. There's been a mistake.

Jill: Starting with the day that Katherine left all her money to you.

Chelsea: If you're implying I'm still hung up on my ex-husband --

Chloe: Implying? Moi? You know I'm not so subtle. I'm just gonna come out and say it that you're hung up on your ex.

Chelsea: I've moved on, Chloe.

Chloe: No, what you've done is you have moved in with Adam because he threatened to cut Connor out of your life. If the truth had never come out, you would still be with Dylan.

Chelsea: It never would have worked. Not in the long run. I mean, how could it? I was living a lie.

Chloe: Were you happy? Did you love him? Was that a lie?

Chelsea: It doesn't matter anymore. I signed the papers. And no, before you ask, I'm not regretting my decision. I just think, you know, it was a little startling to get those letters in my mailbox this morning. That's all.

Chloe: Yeah, I can understand how you feel that way.

Chelsea: And it was a reminder, you know, of all the ways I hurt Dylan. But it's okay now. He's happy. He's moved on with Avery. And I'm happy. I've moved on with --

Chloe: No, no. No, no. Do not say Adam. I -- I know that you guys slept with each other, but I was just chalking that up to you having a serious lapse of judgment.

Chelsea: Do you really have to bash him every single time his name comes up?

Chloe: I know what you're gonna say next. You're gonna say, "Chloe, he's changed. Adam is a different man." It's not possible. Adam is not capable of transforming himself into being a decent man, and I don't understand how many times he has to crush your heart in order for you to get that.

Chelsea: [Sighs]

Jack: What could you possibly want more than sticking it to your vindictive old man?

Adam: I have a lot of regrets, Jack.

Jack: Don't we all?

Adam: Chelsea wanted nothing more than to have a life with me. I could have given that to her. But I didn't because of Newman, or, rather, my unhealthy obsession with it.

Jack: Some of your motives were noble.

Adam: Name one.

Jack: I needed someone to cover for me at Newman when I was getting clean, and you stepped up.

Adam: I used it as a perfect opportunity to prove something to my father, and in the end, I end up finding out that approval from the old man didn't mean that much to me.

Jack: Be that as it may --

Adam: Look, I told the guy that I don't want him in my life anymore. I meant what I said. I am building my own business, my own company, my own empire. I'm using my hedge fund. I'm just gonna make a fresh start.

Jack: With Chelsea.

Adam: Remember that conversation that we had about redemption?

Jack: I remember you were adamant that the two of you could never go back to the way things were.

Adam: I was scared to hope that they could.

Jack: And now you're not. What's changed?

Adam: Something you said. Stop looking back and start focusing on the future. Jack, every time I do that, I can't help but see Chelsea and our son in my future. So I will not let anyone or anything from my past get in the way of that.

Victoria: I'm sorry. That really came out wrong. You know, there's really nothing normal about the last two months we've had. I-I guess what I should have said is that things are starting to feel more familiar. That's all.

Billy: You don't have to explain yourself to me.

[Toy clatters]

[Horn honks]

Billy: Whoa.

Victoria: That's the car to the airport.

Billy: Okay, I'll get the bags. You get....

[Toy clatters]

Billy: Um, happy holidays.

Victoria: Hey.

Billy: Thanks.

Victoria: Listen, you know, if the trip is too much for you right now, you know --

Billy: No, no, no, no. I have to take care of a few things at the restaurant, but I'll be on the next plane to D.C. I can't wait to see Reed. And, Baby, no, don't cry. Take care of your mama. Be good for her, okay?

Victoria: You know I never want to do or say anything to upset you. You know --

Billy: You didn't. You're fine. We're fine. You didn't. We're okay.

Victoria: All right.

Billy: Okay.

Victoria: I'll see you later.

Billy: Love you. Bye.

Victoria: Okay.

Jill: Identity theft?

Devon: Yes. I was never in Vegas.

Jill: [Sighs]

Devon: Someone is posing as me. The guy has my name, he has my credit card, and now I'm the one who's in trouble with the police.

Jill: So what are you doing to get yourself out of it?

Devon: Leslie's working on cleaning up the mess. The first step, though, is to prove that I'm the victim.

Jill: Better yet, keep your distance from people who are only out for themselves, okay? Like Hilary.

Devon: I learned a really important lesson from my grandmother, and that's that everyone deserves a second chance.

Jill: Just heed my words, okay? Be careful who you lean on. Money can change people. I've seen it happen.

Devon: I know that, and I'm working hard to not let it change me, too.

Jill: Good. But it can sneak up on you.

Devon: I appreciate the warning. And my eyes are open. Okay? I'm doing the best I can to honor Katherine and the gift that she gave me, and I think you should do the same.

Chelsea: I know you're just trying to be a good friend. But you're wrong about Adam. He has changed.

Chloe: Okay.

Chelsea: He has. Look, Chloe, for one thing, he couldn't care less about Newman.

Chloe: That's because Newman doesn't exist anymore. Victor crushed it and left Adam and Jack with crumbs.

Chelsea: That's not what I'm talking about, Chloe. He is determined to be a better father to Connor than Victor ever was to him, which isn't gonna be very hard, considering Adam is actually present in Connor's life.

Chloe: I'm just not so sure if that's a good thing.

Chelsea: How can you even say something like that?!

Chloe: Because I don't understand how you would want your son to emulate Adam... I mean, teach him to be... cold and ruthless.

Chelsea: He puts on an act for most people. He hides his emotions. So in turn he ends up looking callous to some people. But I know him, Chloe. He hurts. And he bleeds. Just like everybody else. And he cares. He cares so deeply about the people that are important to him. Victor -- he's not on that list anymore. Victor was the problem. He's what got between us last time, but now -- now we really finally have a chance to get it right.

Kyle: Noah's name is on the front of this building. Mine is not. So, yes, I do feel like I have to work harder, but make no mistake about it, I'm up for the challenge.

Victor: You know, Kyle, I have no doubt about your abilities. It's your sincerity I question.

Kyle: Because I'm an Abbott.

Victor: Well, you might have an easier time working at Jabot.

Kyle: Very true. But I want to succeed at something meaningful.

Victor: Uh-huh.

Kyle: And how can I expect to do that at a place where I will have a job no matter how I perform? That's not how you grow. That's how you become complacent.

Victor: Well...

Kyle: And I would think, as a self-made man, that you'd respect that. Here I have an opportunity to shine because I have to prove myself every single day.

Victor: How would you like another opportunity to prove yourself? You up for the challenge?

Billy: Hey. Kelly. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What's wrong? Hey, hey, hey, hey. No, no, no. You don't have to hide from me. Hey, what's wrong? Oh, Honey, what's wrong?

Kelly: [Sobs]

Billy: I was about to go to a meeting if you'd like to go talk.

Kelly: No. Sorry, Billy. I can't go and sit in a circle and listen to everyone else discuss how hard their Christmas was without their kids. [Voice breaking] I don't want to hear about it because I'm living it. I spent the day in my apartment. No stocking, no tree... no Christmas cookies to decorate. That was Sam's favorite. I shouldn't be falling apart like this. It's been almost a year.

Bly: You told me that there's no time frame on this sort of thing.

Kelly: I'm supposed to be getting better. I thought I was. But then I'll see a little boy that looks like Sam, or I'll hear his favorite song on the radio. And that'll bring me right back to that hospital room, just begging for my little boy to hang on. So just... [Sniffles] I just want this agony to stop.

Billy: Hey, hey, hey. Honey, your hands are freezing. How long have you been out here? Come on. Let's go. No, no. Come on.

Kelly: No.

Billy: I'm driving you home. Come on.

Kelly: No. Your meeting.

Billy: There'll be another meeting. You can't be alone. Come on. Let's get out of here. Come on. Let's not cry in public. Let's go. All right? Alright.

Chloe: So, you know, I got this book the other day, "It's called a breakup because it's broken." You know, it kind of says it all. So I was thinking that maybe I could strap you up to a chair and read it out loud until you come to your senses.

Chelsea: Look, I know that you'll never be a fan of Adam's. I get it. But if I have to defend him every single time you come to our home --

Chloe: "Our home"! Oh, my God! No!

Chelsea: Please stop it. It is my life, and this is my decision, and you have to respect that.

Chloe: Okay. I understand that. But you are a mother now. And it's not just about you.

Chelsea: You're right. And I am doing what is best for my son. Connor deserves to have a real family. He deserves to be surrounded by all the people who love him -- his mom and his dad and his godmother, who I'm looking at right now if she says yes.

Chloe: Wait, you're -- are you asking me --

Chelsea: Yeah, I mean, I know it's a lot to ask, but if anything were to ever happen to Adam and me, I would feel so much better knowing Connor was with you. You've already done so much for him, Chloe.

Chloe: The fact that you even thought of me...

Chelsea: Of course. So, is that a yes?

Chloe: Of cou-- yes. Of course I would love to be the godmother of your son. And I promise to love him like my very own.

Chelsea: Oh.

Chloe: Oh, thank you.

Victor: Well, hello, Son.

Adam: Victor.

Victor: How's my grandson doing? I haven't seen Connor for a while.

Adam: I'll be in touch.

Victor: No threats, no warnings to stay away from my own flesh and blood?

Adam: I meant what I said when I told you I didn't want you in my life anymore. As far as I'm concerned, Chelsea and Connor are my only living family now.

Victor: Chelsea's your family. Are you that naive?

Jack: Don't you have somewhere you have to be?

Victor: Stay out of it, Jack. So you're gonna play house with Chelsea. That won't last, Son.

Adam: What part of "I don't give a damn what you think" is failing to register? Your opinion is meaningless. It means less than nothing. I don't want you darkening my doorstep. I don't want your shadow falling over my son. I don't want you showing up at the penthouse. And I don't want you arranging to run into us anywhere or anytime. I don't want your presence near my family. And if you're smart, you'll keep your distance. All right? I was once where you are. Standing by the side of the old man, expecting to be groomed for bigger and better. Don't buy into it. There is so much more to life than being smothered under the thumb of Victor Newman.

Jack: Couldn't have said that any better myself.

Victor: Our business appointment will be here soon.

Kyle: I will... [Clears throat] I will get us a table.

Victor: Thank you, son.

Kyle: I just want to be clear on the production date so we can all be on the same page.

Victor: All right.

Hilary: I dropped off the Bonaventure file to Jill. That's all I have to report, since she kicked me out before I could...

Jack: I'm sure Jill will weigh in once she's had a chance to look at the material.

[Both chuckle]

Victor: It's the truth.

Kyle: Yeah.

Hilary: Kyle seems comfortable with Victor.

Jack: Yeah, a little too comfortable.

Hilary: You thinking about pulling him out of there?

Jack: He's an adult. He can decide whether or not he's gonna help. And he has helped. I mean, he got us that file.

Hilary: Yeah, by selling his soul to Victor Newman.

Jack: Pretending to.

Hilary: I know firsthand how easy it can be to get caught up in a lie.

[Indistinct conversation]

Adam: Hey.

Chelsea: "Hey" yourself.

Adam: Is Connor taking his nap?

Chelsea: Yeah. I put him down two hours ago.

Adam: Little guy's still asleep, huh?

Chelsea: [Chuckles] I think its sensory overload from yesterday.

Adam: [Groans] Well, it was a great Christmas.

Chelsea: It really was.

Adam: I think it was one of my top-10 best days of my life.

Chelsea: Mine too. I always imagined that's what having a family felt like. I'm just so glad Connor will never have to wonder either. You know, no matter what happens, he will always know that he's loved. And if we're not here to show him... Chloe will be.

Adam: What's that?

Chelsea: Okay, so I asked Chloe to be Connor's godmother, and she accepted right away. You're still cool with that, right?

Adam: I know how important this is to you. And I want you to be happy.

Chelsea: Yes. Thank you.

Chloe: I knew you'd want that back.

Jill: You did?

Chloe: Well, I heard you cussed out mom pretty good for putting it back under the tree. But I'm the one who took it out from the trash.

Jill: Why on earth would you do that?

Chloe: Do you know there are so many things I wish I'd held on to? Things that I didn't think would be important at the time, like Delia's first pair of ballet slippers. I would give anything to have those now.

Jill: Sweetie... this is different, okay. You're talking about something that your little girl loved, which gave her joy. I mean, this is just some old, worthless knickknack.

Chloe: I'm sure it meant something to Katherine if she passed it on to you.

Jill: [Sighs] You know, I knew that woman for decades upon decades, and never once did she mention a music box.

Chloe: I'm sure that it might not seem important to you now, but I just didn't want you to chuck it and regret it later.

Jill: I won't regret it.

Chloe: Jill, seriously, hold on to it. Once you lose something precious, you can't ever get it back.

Mason: Hey, Devon. Yo, I heard what happened in Vegas, man. That's crazy. Someone's actually going around pretending to be you?

Devon: Yeah. It's really crazy. It's really crazy. How'd you -- how'd you know it wasn't me?

Mason: What do you mean?

Devon: I mean how did you know it was a case of stolen identity?

Mason: Dude, it's all over the news.

Devon: Right, but the media's only been reporting my arrest. It hasn't been mentioned anywhere that there's another party posing as me.

Mason: I know you. I mean, you're not the type to party all night, much less skip out on a bill. I mean, why would you do that when you got all that money sitting around in the bank?

Devon: Yeah, well, I'm glad that someone believes me.

Mason: Of course I do, man. Come on. I got your back. Anyway, I'm just heading down to the gym. Want to put on the gloves, go a few rounds?

Devon: Yeah. Sure.

Mason: All right. [Grunts] What the hell is your problem, Devon?!

Devon: Yeah, what the hell, Mason? I know it was you. I know it was you living off my dime in Vegas and then cutting out so that I'd get arrested.

Mason: I don't know where you got such a ridiculous idea from -- Hilary. Hilary's been spreading her damn lies again. You know, when are you gonna stop trusting that gold digger?

Devon: Who should I trust, Mason? Should I trust you?

Mason: Yes.

Devon: Hilary didn't smear my family on her own. She had plenty of help from you.

Mason: I told you I only went along with her plan until I found out she was using me.

Devon: And you stopped 'cause, what, you have so much integrity and self-esteem?

Mason: This whole Vegas scam, it reeks of her, man. Listen, you need to trust me.

Devon: Mason, shut up. You can't even admit to what you've done. You're standing here, lying to my face, pointing the blame at Hilary. You disgust me. I don't have proof that you did it, but I'm going to get it, and when I do, I'm gonna make sure that you go down for this. You can count on that.

Victor: Excellent work. You handled that man like an old pro.

Kyle: Well, it's easy when you learn from the best. I have picked up so much observing you at the office, Victor.

Victor: You pick up things very quickly, Kyle. And more importantly, you know how to deal with people. Now, that's instinctive. That can't be taught. I mean, that guy was ready to do business right now.

Kyle: Well, I am delighted that you're pleased. And I hope this puts to rest any doubts you might have about my commitment to Newman-Chancellor.

Victor: You have a place in my company, okay?

Kyle: Glad I passed the test.

Victor: See you at the office, okay?

Kyle: Yes, Sir. All right, how's it going?

Jack: Well, not as well as you. You had that client eating out of your hand.

Kyle: You noticed that, huh?

Jack: Hard not to.

Hilary: Your meeting -- anything about Bonaventure?

Kyle: No, no, no, no.

Hilary: Oh. Sorry. I just assumed. Um, you walked over here so excited, I thought you had some new leads for us.

Kyle: Uh, not yet, but I'm sure I will soon. I am perfectly positioned.

Kelly: Thanks for bringing me home. I would have managed just fine.

Billy: I didn't want to leave you alone when you're that upset.

Kelly: Well, I'm used to being alone. The quiet in this place...

Billy: Oh, yes. That. Probably won't ever get used to that. I don't think I ever will.

Kelly: I'll put some coffee on.

Billy: Yes. Thank you. That would be great.

Kelly: Yeah, that's Sam on his first soccer game. He actually scored a goal. He was so proud of himself. Couldn't wipe the smile off his face for weeks. But then again, Sam was always smiling.

Billy: Yeah, that was Dee Dee, too. [Chuckles] Her laugh, man, she'd have us all going. It was hard not to be happy when you were around that kid.

Kelly: Well, I forgot to ask you, 'cause I was crying like a baby, but how was your Christmas?

Billy: I tried, you know. I was doing all the things that Delia loved. But, uh, she wasn't there.

Kelly: To share them with you.

Billy: Actually, I know this sounds crazy, but, uh...I feel like I saw her on Christmas morning.

Kelly: [Scoffs] It doesn't sound crazy.

Billy: Huh.

Kelly: Listen, I see Sam all the time. When I'm walking through the park, I see him on the swings. I know he's not really there. But it helps me to imagine that he's still having fun. What was Delia doing?

Billy: [Sighs] Her favorite thing -- opening presents. She was so beautiful. And she was so at peace, you know. But I know better than that, because I know my daughter can't be at peace when her killer's still out there.

Chelsea: Can you believe that little guy is still sleeping? He must be having one heck of a dream.

Adam: How long have you had this?

Chelsea: It arrived this morning. As of today, I am officially divorced.

Adam: [Sighs] How do you feel?

Chelsea: Dylan and I have been over for months now. That's just a formality. Dylan is forging ahead with his life, and I want to focus on our future.

Adam: So, what do you envision? A house? More kids?

Chelsea: More kids? Ah! Maybe when Connor's a little bit older. For now, I think we should focus on taking advantage of the fact that our son is still asleep.

Adam: I like that idea.

Chelsea: Yeah.

Jill: [Groans] What are you looking at? [Sighs]

Hilary: You get into it with another reporter? Hmm?

Devon: No. I, uh, I was paying back a friend. I should have listened to you when you warned me about Mason.

Kyle: Listen, I had better get back to the office.

Jack: Whoa. Just a minute. I want to hear more about this meeting.

Kyle: Just a new business pitch.

Jack: Who's the client?

Kyle: Commercial construction outfit -- mainly warehouses, super stores, fast-food joints. He's actually the third-largest consumer of corrugated metal in North America. And that's where Newman-Chancellor comes in, and he is gonna sign on the dotted line. You know, Victor actually said that, uh...

Jack: Victor said what?

Kyle: He said he liked the way that I handled myself.

Jack: He's buttering you up for the kill.

Kyle: Maybe. Or maybe I'm good at what I do.

Jack: No, you are good at what you do. And he's very good at recognizing talent. I'm not surprised that he complimented you or that he wanted you to partner with him on the pitch. Despite his dubious charm, he is a good salesman.

Kyle: Actually, Victor let me take over the entire pitch.

Jack: I hate to rain on your parade --

Kyle: Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad. Don't worry. I am being careful. I will not let myself get sucked in. My loyalty is to you... and to the Abbotts.

Jack: A little reminder now and then is not a bad thing.

Kyle: [Chuckles]

Adam: You have an amazing sense of timing, little man.

Chelsea: [Chuckles] Hi. You're finally awake, huh.

Adam: Yes, he is. Let's see if you're hungry.

Chelsea: So, daddy, what do you see in our future?

Adam: [Sighs] Aside from what this little guy interrupted... I don't know. I see, uh... I see a big house that you and I live in and a big yard for our kids to run around.

Chelsea: "Kids"? More than just Connor?

Adam: This is my visit of the future, is it not? Yeah, I see... I see us married with kids.

[Connor fussing]

Chelsea: You want to get married?

Adam: Your divorce is finalized. Nothing standing in our way.

Victor: "This folder got mixed in with my stuff somehow. Hope it wasn't too important. Noah."

Victoria: Hey, Honey. It's me. So, guess what I forgot to check. The weather. There's a huge storm on the east coast, and the Reagan airport is smack-dab in the middle of it. So flights are delayed. Anyway, I might end up seeing you at the airport, after all, or later at home, um, if the weather doesn't let up. Either way, I just really want to spend this weekend together as a family. I love you so much.

Kelly: Here you go.

Billy: Thank you.

Kelly: You know, I find that when I get caught up in the rage, it only makes me feel worse. So I would rather think about Sam and the happier times.

Billy: I know I need to let go of the anger. I do pay attention in group.

Kelly: [Chuckles]

Billy: I'm trying here, man, but I'm telling you, every time I think I got a handle on it, it just comes --

Kelly: Keeps coming back.

Billy: Like today, my wife... she made a comment... and, actually, things were going really well. I mean, we were laughing for the first time in, God, I don't know when. But then she said how happy she was that things were getting back to normal. Normal. Really? What the hell is normal? Tried not to get mad at her. I know what she means. Just focusing on trying to get our lives back to normal for our family, you know, for -- for her and for Johnny and for me. And I'm telling you, I love my wife, I love my kid, but nothing's gonna be normal for me anymore. It's not gonna be normal without my daughter. It's not gonna be normal because she's not there, and I can't talk to her about her day or have her charm me into letting her stay up late. I miss my kid. I just miss my kid.

Kelly: Hey.

Billy: I'm sorry, okay.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Jill: Victoria, where's Billy?

Victoria: Um, actually, I'm not sure.

Dylan: I've got more questions about Ian Ward.

Nikki: You're not planning on going to look for him, are you?

Victor: I want definitive proof.

P.I.: And if it turns out the driver was Adam Newman?

Victor: So be it.
