[Keyboard clacking]

Chelsea: What are you working on?

Adam: Just a project I've been considering. But, uh, something about it just doesn't -- doesn't feel right.

Kevin: What, you didn't give me the old-owner discount?

Waitress: Sorry, Kevin.

Kevin: See you. Oh.

Chloe: Hi.

Kevin: Hi.

Chloe: Oh. Wow. What, did you lose a bet with Chavez? Buying the whole precinct lunch?

Kevin: This isn't for the guys at the station.

Chloe: Oh, then you must be very hungry if you're gonna eat all that.

Kevin: This is for you and me. And Chelsea if she'd like to join us. I was just headed to your office.

Chloe: Well, then, I'm glad I bumped into you. I'm not going to the office anymore.

Kevin: I thought you said you and Chelsea were working today.

Chloe: Yeah, we are. I'm going over to her place. I know what you're thinking.

Kevin: Good. Then you're saving me time.

Chloe: I can handle being around Connor. I can. I'm fine.

Kevin: Are you? Well, you weren't fine at 2:00 in the morning when I found you in Delia's room...again. Or how about the other night when I saw you out in the cold on the tree swing?

Chloe: Okay, I'm not fine. I don't think I ever will be. But what are you doing? What, are you spying on me? What, you don't trust me?

Victoria: Hi. Morning.

Billy: Morning.

Victoria: There's coffee.

Billy: Perfect. Thank you.

Victoria: I'm glad you slept in, because you were tossing and turning all night.

Billy: Well, I hope I didn't keep you up.

Victoria: No, it was... it was nice having you next to me. You know, it felt good having your arms around me.

Billy: I thought I might have made a lumpy pillow.

Victoria: No, you were perfect.

Billy: You know, I think I might go to the restaurant today. This is Delia's.

Victoria: Yeah, it is.

Billy: What are you doing here? Huh? What's going on?

Devon: Honey, I get why you're upset. And I am sorry. Okay? When you told me you were using my account to buy a condo, it threw me.

Roxy: A condo for both of us. Because I stupidly thought that after being together for six years you would actually want to live with me.

Devon: I do want to live with you.

Roxy: Well, I already told you, it's too late.

Devon: Okay. You don't want to live with me, take the condo.

Roxy: What?

Devon: I want you to have the condo. It's my gift to you.

Roxy: Are you kidding me? Are you trying to buy your way out of this?

Cane: Keep them closed. Almost there. You're all right. Come.

Lily: Where?

Cane: Come on. Keep coming. Watch your step. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Step again. All right. Wait, wait.

Lily: Can I open my eyes, please?

Cane: No, you can't open your eyes yet. Just wait a second. We're almost there. All right, you ready?

Lily: Yes.

Cane: Open your eyes. Ta-da.

Lily: I'm ready.

Cane: What do you mean you're ready?

Lily: You said that you have a surprise for me.

Cane: I do have a surprise for you. This is it.

Lily: Well, t-this what?

Cane: This. This place.

Lily: Is what?

Cane: It's our future. Come here.

Billy: What are you doing here, Babe?

Victoria: I packed up a few of Dee Dee's things.

Billy: Yeah, I can see that.

Victoria: I can explain.

Billy: What are you gonna explain, huh? You trying to erase my daughter from my life? You gonna explain that?

Kevin: Chloe, this has nothing to do with whether or not I trust you.

Chloe: Yeah, you just don't think that I'm handling Delia's death the way that I should be.

Kevin: There is no right or wrong way to grieve. But I know that you're in a lot of pain, and stuffing down those feelings isn't gonna make them go away.

Chloe: Nothing is gonna make it go away, Kevin. And everyone just thinks that I should just move on with my life and stop grieving.

Kevin: That is not true.

Chloe: Yes, it is. I mean, ever since the funeral was over, it's just like everyone just expects me to move on with my life, you know, stop grieving. And I get it. I get it. Because who wants to be around someone who's sad all the time? It's depressing.

Kevin: Nobody is thinking that.

Chloe: Everybody is thinking that, and I know it, okay. And guess what? I don't care. I don't care. Because it's my grief and it's my timeline. And I would just appreciate it if you would just leave me alone, okay?

Kevin: You can't do this alone.

Chloe: And how could I with you and my mom and Chelsea just hovering all over me all the time?

Kevin: That's because we care about you. But that's not what I meant. I think -- I think that maybe you should look for some professional help.

Chloe: Like a shrink?

Kevin: Like a grief counselor or a support group, just being around people who have dealt with this.

Chloe: So they can tell me how I'm feeling?

Kevin: No.

Chloe: You're right. Because no one knows what I'm feeling. Okay? And I don't want to sit there and listen to some stranger talk about their loss and the steps of grieving, okay? Because none of it is gonna make it go away.

Kevin: Chloe --

Chloe: No, Kevin. I really don't need you or anyone else telling me that I'm not okay. Thanks for lunch.

Chelsea: This is the first project you considered working on since you sold Newman to Victor. Now you don't think its right?

Adam: Just being cautious. I don't want to lose more than I already have.

Chelsea: Are we talking about money?

Adam: What else would we be talking about?

Chelsea: I know that Victor hurt a lot more than just your bank account.

Adam: [Sighs]

Chelsea: So, what's this business you're checking out on your computer?

Adam: Well, I'm not gonna be pursuing it now, so guess it doesn't really matter.

Chelsea: Well, unfortunately for me, work is not optional. I have a contract with Jabot, and Jack wants to know what we're planning for the summer line within weeks.

Adam: You gonna start heading into the office now?

Chelsea: Chloe's gonna come here. It's just easier with the baby. You don't have a problem with that, do you?

Adam: No. But apparently Chloe does.

Chelsea: N-no. It was Chloe's idea.

Adam: Fisher insists that, uh, her being around our son is torture.

Chelsea: I thought spending time with Connor was helping.

Adam: You're not responsible for Chloe's pain.

Chelsea: Oh, my God. I should have been more thoughtful. Maybe I can switch the meeting. Maybe I'll catch her in time and I'll just have Vanessa watch Connor. I can't believe I didn't think of that. Um... I think my phone's upstairs.

Adam: [Sighs]

Billy: I need you to answer me, Vick. Why are you doing this?

Victoria: I would never try to erase Dee Dee from your life. You know that.

Billy: Why you packing up her stuff? You're obviously giving it away.

Victoria: I am. To Chloe.

Billy: To Chloe?

Victoria: She called and she asked for a few things that Dee Dee left here.

Billy: You should have told me about that. I gave my daughter everything in this box. You had no right to tell Chloe that she could have it.

Victoria: But she's Dee Dee's mom, okay. Well, she was Dee Dee's mom. And I figured that some of these things have some special meaning to her.

Billy: Yeah, they did for me, too.

Victoria: Okay, I'm sorry --

Billy: Can you just stay out of it and let me and Chloe handle this, please?

Victoria: I know that Dee Dee was your daughter. And I loved her, too, okay?

Billy: I know. I know. I'm sorry. I just... I'm trying to get through every day without losing my mind, and I come down here and I see my daughter's stuff boxed up, and I do my best not to absolutely lose it, and it's --

Victoria: Okay. I understand.

Billy: I'm sorry, and I loved it, but you don't -- I know you're trying to help. Do love you for it, but you have no idea what this is like. You have no idea what it's like to lose someone that you love as much as I love Delia.

Victoria: Right. The closest I've come is how I feel right now about losing you.

Lily: So this is our future?

Cane: Can you picture it?

Lily: No. All I can really see are four blank walls and -- oh, look -- some trash somebody left behind.

Cane: All right, don't worry about the trash, all right? I need you to use your imagination.

Lily: I think I used it all up on Halloween costumes and art projects.

Cane: I want you to consider this to be your project.

Lily: Okay, so... what do you have in mind?

Cane: Whatever you want to do.

Lily: Oh, well, that really narrows it down.

Cane: All right, I don't want to think about narrow, okay. I want to think about unlimited possibilities.

Lily: Okay, Cane, I really don't know why you brought me here.

Cane: Okay. If we said to Charlie, "Charlie, this is your place. You can do whatever you want to do here," what do you think he would do?

Lily: Well, he would probably turn it into an indoor soccer field.

Cane: Right. Because why? He loves soccer.

Lily: Yes.

Cane: And he wants to be David Beckham, and he wants to bring home the world cup, right?

Lily: And endorse underwear?

Cane: Okay. All right. Let's not use Charlie, all right. Let's use Mattie. Okay, if you said to Mattie, "Mattie, you can do whatever you want," what would she do?

Lily: Well, that's easy. She'd make it a dance studio. There'd be hardwood floors and ballet bars and Ravel playing.

Cane: You know why?

Lily: Why?

Cane: 'Cause she wants to be a prima ballerina.

Lily: Yes, our kids do have lofty goals.

Cane: They do, 'cause we taught them they can reach any goals they want. If I say to you, "Sweetheart, this is your place. You can transform this place into anything you want"... come here. What would you do?

Devon: Do you really think I'm trying to buy your forgiveness right now?

Roxy: What am I supposed to think?

Devon: That I'm trying to make up for being an idiot.

Roxy: By giving me a condo?

Devon: Baby, I think back of all the times I wanted to buy you nice things and I didn't have the money to do that.

Roxy: I never cared about any of that. The best gift you ever gave me was when you mixed that love song for me. Do you remember that?

Devon: Of course I do.

Roxy: That was worth more than all of the bracelets and condos in the world.

Devon: You know when you hear people win the lotto and they say it ruins their lives? I'd always think, "What idiots. How can more money be a bad thing?" But I'm really starting to think that that's happening to us right now.

Roxy: Our problems started way before you inherited Mrs. Chancellor's fortune.

Devon: Hang on, Baby. If you're talking about when I almost went to London, I apologized to you for not talking to you about it. And I didn't even go.

Roxy: No.

Devon: So please don't throw that in my face.

Roxy: No, you're -- you're still not getting it, Devon. We're not moving forward as a couple. We've been stuck in the same place for years.

Devon: You've never said you're not happy.

Roxy: Maybe I didn't realize it until now.

Devon: Are you breaking up with me?

Billy: I'm doing the best that I can here.

Victoria: I know you are. I just feel like you're keeping so much from me.

Billy: Look, I went to the support group like you asked me to. I've done everything you've asked me to do.

Victoria: That was great, but what if it doesn't help? I don't know what else to do.

Billy: I don't know either! Just stop trying so hard.

Victoria: I'm sorry!

Billy: Don't -- don't do that either. Don't apologize to me.

Victoria: Sorry. I just feel so helpless, okay. I-I feel so helpless. I can't bring Dee Dee back. I can't make the person who killed her pay. I -- I don't have shady contacts to track them down like Adam does.

Billy: What do you mean shady contacts? Vick, you better answer me. What does "Shady contacts" mean?

Victoria: Adam has launched his own investigation outside of the law. He just wants to help. Everybody wants to help, Billy! Where are you going?!

[Door slams]

[Keyboard clacking]

Paul: Hey, Kevin, you got a minute?

Kevin: Not really.

Paul: I wanted to talk to you about your idea using social media to track down the driver that hit Delia.

Kevin: Let me guess. You want me to train some hot-shot detective to do something I already know how to do, which will take about 10 days, because I'm guessing that the only tech skill this Sherlock is gonna have is gonna be knowing how to send an e-mail. And why do you want me to train a cop to do my job when that cop could be out in the field doing actual police work? Because if I'm involved in the investigation, we might step on the rights of a child killer, and we wouldn't want to do that. That's what you were gonna say, right?

Paul: I was just gonna ask if you found anything yet.

Kevin: Oh.

Chelsea: You didn't get my message?

Chloe: Oh, no. I did. But I was already on my way, so I figured I would just come by here. That's okay, right?

Chelsea: I just thought you'd, you know, maybe rather work at the office. It's just quieter, no interruptions.

Chloe: No, then you'd be away from Connor.

Adam: I told Vanessa you were leaving.

Chelsea: Change in plans.

Adam: Not for me. I'm going out.

Chloe: Okay, not like I'm complaining, but he can't avoid me forever.

Chelsea: I think he's just afraid of saying the wrong thing.

Chloe: "Hi, Chloe." That would be fine.

Chelsea: Forget about him. Why don't we go out together and we can work and go get lunch.

Chloe: Oh, I've already got that covered. Look. Kevin got us lunch. Think he's channeling my mother lately.

Chelsea: Let's take it to the park and have a picnic.

Chloe: Um, it's 40 degrees outside.

Chelsea: We'll bundle up. I really could use the fresh air.

Chloe: What's up with you? Why are you pressuring to get me out of here?

[Connor cries]

Roxy: We haven't really been together for a while, Devon.

Devon: Honey, couples go through these kind of things all the time.

Roxy: Yeah, and a lot of them don't survive. You don't trust me. All of this money you inherited, it's made you suspicious of everyone, including me.

Devon: I said I was sorry.

Roxy: But you questioned my motives, and you have never done that before. You used to believe I loved you just for you.

Devon: I still believe that you do.

Roxy: Then how could you ever think that I would take advantage of you? [Voice breaking] The old Devon would never accuse me of using his credit card to buy something for myself. He knew I was a decent and honest person because he was one himself.

Devon: What do you mean, "Was?" You don't think I am anymore?

Roxy: The amount of money that you've inherited is life-changing.

Devon: I don't want my life to change. Honey.

Roxy: [Crying] I don't think you can avoid it. [Sniffles]

Devon: Listen, please, don't do this.

Roxy: I wish you the best.

Devon: You know I really love you.

Roxy: And I love you, too. [Crying]

Connor: [Crying]

[Crying stops]

Chloe: Don't you want to check on him?

Chelsea: Vanessa's with him.

Chloe: [Chuckles] You're his mom. Go on. I'll go with you.

Chelsea: No. He's -- he's fine, Chloe.

Chloe: What's -- first you're pressuring to get me out of here, and now you don't want me to see the baby? What's -- what's going on?

Chelsea: Nothing.

Chloe: Is something wrong with his eyes?

Chelsea: No.

Chloe: What --

Chelsea: No. He's fine. I promise Connor's fine.

Chloe: Okay, well, you're freaking me out. Would you please tell me what's up?

Chelsea: Okay, it does have to do with Connor.

Chloe: What is it?

Chelsea: I've been so insensitive, having you come here to work. I didn't even think about how hard this must be for you to see him. I'm so sorry.

Chloe: You've been talking to Kevin.

Chelsea: [Sighs] He's worried about you, Chloe.

Chloe: I'm going to tell you what I told him. I am okay being around Connor. It makes me feel like I'm closer to Delia, and I need that.

Chelsea: Are you sure?

Chloe: I am sure. Come on. Let's go upstairs.

Kevin: I'm sorry. I'm just -- I'm so used to Chavez getting on my case, I thought you were, too.

Paul: You know, Kevin, you ought to give Alex some slack. He's just trying to be your friend.

Kevin: By keeping me from finding Delia's killer?

Paul: By making sure the investigation isn't compromised. He knows what it means to you to find that driver.

Kevin: I'm not doing it for me. I'm doing it for Chloe.

Paul: Well, just make sure if you find something, you give it to Chavez. He'll make sure no one knows it came from you.

Kevin: I know the drill. Anything else?

Paul: Well, yeah, as a matter of fact, there is. I'm working on something that might free your brother.

Kevin: Oh. Well, that's good news. What is it?

Paul: Well, I can't go into the details just yet, but, uh, if I hear something, I'll let you know.

Kevin: Sooner would be better than later.

Paul: Yeah. I know. I'll keep you posted.

Kevin: Thanks. Whoa, whoa. Hey, Paul? I think you might want to see this.

Paul: What, did you find something?

Kevin: Um, it's this chat room. That's got to be Billy's avatar.

Paul: "Delia's killer hasn't even begun to suffer." Sounds like he's taking matters into his own hands.

Adam: I got your message. What did you want to talk about?

Billy: Delia.

Adam: What about her?

Billy: I know what you're doing. And I know why.

Cane: Tell me. What is going on inside that beautiful head of yours?

Lily: [Chuckles] I was just thinking about what you said about turning this into a dance studio. It just reminds me of my childhood, 'cause I grew up in one, and then it reminds me of where you proposed to me.

Cane: That is right. Which is more of a reason we could turn this into our very own studio.

Lily: We know nothing about teaching dance.

Cane: Well, we can learn. We already know the basics.

Lily: What, we have legs?

[Chuckles]

Cane: Yes, we have legs, and we can count.

Lily: [Chuckles] Count.

Cane: One. Two. Three. Four. And we are very romantic. And we know how to move well together.

Lily: Yes, but I think it takes more than that to teach dance.

Cane: Really? You know what? You should never underestimate the power of being madly in love.

[Ballroom music plays]

Chloe: Oh, gosh. He's just the cutest sucking on his thumb like that. Oh, Delia -- she would just take her whole fist and shove it right in there. [Chuckles]

Chelsea: I have those, um -- those preliminary sketches I told you about for the summer line.

Chloe: That reminds me. I have that new designer, Natalie Rivera.

Chelsea: Is that that new young, hot designer from Miami?

Chloe: Yeah. Well, I think it's good for you to check out the competition.

Chelsea: Uh, what about, um, Cesar Galindo? He was a huge hit at fashion week. I feel like his stuff is gonna be so hot next spring.

Chloe: I must have been in such a rush. I forgot my laptop. Can I borrow yours?

Chelsea: Sure. Uh, it's Adam's, but go for it.

Chloe: I'm sure Oscar the grouch won't mind if I use it, right?

[Cell phone rings]

Chloe: Hi, Victoria. What's up?

Victoria: Chloe. Hi. Um, I just wanted to let you know that I have those things ready that you asked for.

Chloe: Wow. That was...fast. I hope you didn't go through too much trouble.

Victoria: No. No, it was no trouble at all.

Chloe: Thank you. They mean a lot to me.

Victoria: I know. Of course, they do. You can come by any time and pick them up.

Chelsea: Um, do you mind if I come by now?

Victoria: Yeah, sure. That's fine. I'm working from home today.

Chloe: Okay. Great. I'll see you in a little while.

Chelsea: You taking off?

Chloe: Uh, yeah. I got to go over to Victoria's. She has some things of Delia's I want to go pick up.

Chelsea: Yeah. No explanation needed. Go. We can work any time.

Chloe: Thank you for being such a good friend.

Chelsea: I'm not convinced I am a good friend -- having you come here to work and then seeing Connor, it --

Chloe: Chelsea, nothing could make me feel worse than I already do. This really helps. I want to be here. I want to see Connor. And I will let you know if that doesn't work out for me anymore, okay?

Chelsea: Okay.

Chloe: I'm gonna be okay. [Chuckles]

Chelsea: Yeah.

Chloe: Okay.

Adam: I don't know who you've been talking to --

Billy: Victoria.

Adam: What did she say to you?

Billy: She said that you're using your contacts to try and find who killed Delia.

Adam: Chelsea asked me to do that. And I understand completely if you don't want my help.

Billy: I didn't ask you here to tell you to stop doing what you're doing. I asked you here to thank you.

Lily: I don't know. I'm just -- I'm not feeling it.

Cane: Really? Oh, come here. Let me try again. Come here.

Lily: [Laughs] No! Not that, the whole dance-studio thing.

Cane: Really?

Lily: Yes.

Cane: You actually seemed to be into the, uh -- the fantasy.

Lily: Of course I was. It was a fantasy. But we cannot open a dance studio.

Cane: Okay. All right. Whatever it is, it has to be something we're both passionate about.

Lily: I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Cane: Okay. All right. Listen, when you were a little girl, what did you dream of doing?

Lily: When I was a little girl...I wanted to...be an ice-cream driver. [Laughs]

Cane: I'm sure that Mattie and Charlie would like that, okay, but I'm thinking more along the lines of what we could do with this space, okay? I mean, think about it, Baby. This -- I mean, look at it. This is our -- it's our canvas. We can do whatever we want here. I mean, look. Look, look, look. There's an artist's tarp here. See this? This is a sign. This is destiny that we can do something creative here.

Lily: Yeah. [Screams]

[Rustling]

Lily: Okay, there is something under there. [Groaning]

Kevin: You don't think Billy would do anything stupid, do you?

Paul: Grief is a powerful emotion. And losing a child can make people do things they never imagined before.

Kevin: Well, it can make them just think about doing them, too. I thought a lot about what I'd like to do to the person who killed Delia.

Paul: Yeah, but you didn't attack a man just because he was driving a black S.U.V.

Kevin: Well, Billy lost it in the heat of the moment.

Paul: You know, Kevin, I can't even imagine what he must be going through. But he can't go around assaulting people and making threats.

Kevin: Come on. Can you blame him? Look at what prompted Billy's post.

Paul: "Maybe the person is paying." "Guilt is kind of a suffering, too." Who -- who is this anonymous?

Kevin: And why are they defending a murderer?

Adam: Billy... don't thank me.

Billy: No. Man, it's an extremely rare occurrence that I do. Enjoy it, because it might be the only time we do that in our lifetime.

Adam: I don't deserve your thanks. It turns out my contacts were no good, anyway. I should have known when those corneas they got me were unsalvageable.

Billy: At least that worked out, right?

Adam: Thanks to you and Chloe.

Billy: No. That was all Dee Dee. So, if you do happen to hear anything, if you would --

Adam: Yeah, I'll let you know.

Billy: Appreciate it.

Kelly: Hi. I thought I recognized you. I'm sorry to interrupt. I saw you from my table.

Billy: I'm sorry. We've met?

Kelly: At the grief support group.

Billy: Oh, that's right. You're, uh...

Kelly: I'm Kelly.

Billy: Yeah.

Adam: I'm gonna have my drink. Thank you.

Billy: Yeah. Sure.

Kelly: I didn't mean to chase off your friend.

Billy: He's not exactly my friend. He's...just somebody trying to help me with...

Kelly: ...You deal with your daughter's death.

Billy: Yeah. You, uh -- you spoke at the support group.

Kelly: Yeah.

Billy: Your son...

Kelly: Sam.

Billy: He was seven, right?

Kelly: That's right.

Billy: So was my daughter.

Kelly: I'm so glad I ran in to you. There was something that I wanted to say to you at the meeting, but you...took off so quickly I didn't have a chance.

Billy: Um, okay.

Kelly: It's... it's something that you need to know.

Victoria: [Sniffles]

[Door closes]

Chloe: Found it.

Victoria: Good.

Chloe: Thank you for putting all this together for me. It means... hey. Victoria, are you crying?

Victoria: No. It's just -- there's a lot of dust in the box. [Sniffles]

Chloe: I know. Looking at it -- her things -- it's hard remembering.

Victoria: I just can't imagine what you and Billy are going through.

Chloe: Everyone who loves her is suffering.

Victoria: I know, but...she was your little girl, yours and Billy's.

Chloe: So what? Does that mean that you can't grieve for her? That you have to be strong for Billy 24/7?

Victoria: I just -- I don't want to dump my problems on him. Or you.

Chloe: I've been dumping my problems on everybody since we lost her. And I don't know where I would be if they hadn't let me do that. You know, the pain and the suffering and the utter despair would have swallowed me up. And I'm sure the same thing is true for Billy. And he has had you there to help him through it.

Victoria: I've tried.

Chloe: Victoria, you can't be strong for everybody. You have to let somebody help you, too.

Chelsea: [Sighs] What?

Bartender: That'll be $4.50.

Devon: [Sighs]

Bartender: I'll, uh -- I'll get your change.

Devon: Forget it.

Bartender: What?

Devon: Just...keep that.

Bartender: No, I-I-I --

Devon: Take it. Please. Take every lousy dollar that I have. 'Cause hopefully, it will change your life for the better, 'cause it sure as hell screwed up mine.

[Thud]

Lily: [Gasps]

Cane: Shh.

Lily: Cane.

Cane: It's okay. It's probably a rat or a raccoon or something.

Lily: A rat?! No, no, no.

Cane: All right. Listen. If it is, it's gonna be more scared of us than we are of him. Just --

Lily: Yeah, I doubt that. Oh, god. [Screams]

Cane: Whoa!

Homeless Woman: Get back or I'll break your kneecaps!

Cane: Shh. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. It's okay. We're getting back. We're back. We're back.

Homeless Woman: Get back.

Lily: It's okay. It's all right. Why are you hiding under the tarp?

Homeless Woman: I wasn't hiding.

Cane: You live here? Okay. All right. Listen. I'm sorry. I'm sorry we intruded. All right. It's all right. Calm down. All right. This is for you. Look, this is for you. Okay. I'll leave it here for you. We're sorry. We were just -- we were looking at this place, and we were thinking of turning it into something. It's okay. All right. Come on. Let's go. We'll find our dream somewhere else, Baby. Come on.

Lily: Good luck.

Homeless Woman: You, too. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Chloe: Hey, thanks. Thanks again for all this.

Victoria: Well, you know, those things belonged to Delia. You should have them.

Chloe: And I was serious. If...you need anyone to talk to or cry to, I'm really good at listening, and I can hand out tissues really well. [Chuckles]

Victoria: Thank you. I appreciate your concern. I'm okay.

Chloe: None of us are.

Victoria: Billy's the one that I'm worried about. He just doesn't really have anyone to lean on right now, you know?

Chloe: He has you.

Victoria: I just don't know. I mean, nothing I do is right. No matter how hard I try, I just really can't make him feel any better.

Chloe: Because you can't fix it, Victoria. No one can. But Billy is really lucky.

Victoria: Lucky? How?

Chloe: He has something that I don't have. He has another child that he can focus his love and attention on.

Victoria: You know, Johnny -- [Chuckles] He could never take Delia's place.

Chloe: Oh, no. Of course not. Nothing will ever fill that void. But, you know, sometimes, when I wake up in the morning and I realize that she's not there, I think, you know, "How can I even get up? I mean, what's -- what's the reason to even bother getting out of bed?"

Victoria: Chloe.

Chloe: Billy has a reason. He has a living, breathing, beautiful child that he can love and hold on to.  If I had a child that loved and needed me, I would hold on to that child so tight and never let go.

Billy: Sorry about that. I'm still trying to play catch up around here.

Kelly: Hey, it's okay. You run this place?

Billy: Kind of. Actually, I own it. But you wouldn't be able to tell that by the amount of time I've spent here. [Chuckles]

Kelly: Well, you know what? That's understandable. I had to force myself out of bed for the first six months.

Billy: Um, so, you said you had something you wanted to tell me?

Kelly: Yes. It's, uh, about the group. I couldn't help but notice that you were having a hard time opening up.

Billy: Yeah, well, it's, uh, hard for me to put my feelings into words.

Kelly: Yeah.

Billy: You did a great job, though.

Kelly: Well, it took me forever to be able to say anything. But that's what I want to tell you, Billy. There's no rush. All the pain, the anger, the sadness, it's going to be there when you're ready to talk.

Billy: Uh, so, this talking... [Chuckles] It helps, huh?

Kelly: You mean does it make the pain go away? No. But it does help to be with people who understand.

Billy: There aren't a lot of those. Hey, would you like a drink? Yeah? Okay.

Kelly: Sure.

Billy: Let's have a drink.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Abby: I pronounce you dapper enough to claw your way to the top of the corporate ladder.

Dylan: I don't want anything to do with nick and his family.

Nick: I can see Sharon making a sincere effort to get well.

Victor: Well, whoopee. Let's throw her a parade.
